Speaker 1 (00:02):
Elevated Podcast with your host and Jessica jess Cash Parker.
The game starts with ourselves by learning vibrasions. Your only
limit is you. Hey, hey, hey, welcome back to Self Elevated,

(00:25):
the podcast where we're all about leveling up your mind, body, spirit,
business in that bank account. I'm your host, Miss Jess
and look today I'm gonna have to have a little
heart to hurt with y'all. Okay, real talk. I missed
the last two weeks of episodes. Yep, one week turned

(00:46):
into two, and for a second there I actually questioned
if I should even come back on here, Like, you know,
the guilt, the shame that I fumbled feeling it was
super loud. But here I am all right. I showed up.
I showed up not only for you, but more importantly,

(01:08):
I showed up for myself. And that's exactly what today's
episode is about. Building self trust even when you've let
yourself down. Because listen, I mean self trust isn't about
being perfect. Okay, we're not gonna always do what we
say we plan to do. It happens. It's life. We're human, right,

(01:29):
But it's about learning how to stay committed to you
even when you mess up and picking back up where
you left off even when you fell off track, all right,
So let's talk about it. How to rebuild that trust,
stop the shame cycle, and start showing up for yourself
in a real kind of way, all right. So let's

(01:50):
start with that self trust and what it even is,
all right, because most people think it's just about confidence
or discipline, but it's definitely, definitely way deeper than that. Okay.
Self trust equals believing that you will follow through for yourself, right.
It's about knowing you'll do what you said you'd do.

(02:11):
It's about feeling safe with your own word, all right.
And it's about not abandoning yourself when things get a
little tough, all right. And just like trust with other people,
self trust is built over time. It's built in the
small decisions, the consistent choices, and yes, even in the
bounce backs after we mess up. Okay. So as I

(02:36):
said that I was looking in the mirror, trust me,
all right. So why is self trust so hard for
so many of us? Like I mean, let's be real,
we've broken it over and over, right, We've broken the
trust with ourselves over and over some common reasons, self
trust gets broken is by not keeping promises to yourself, right,

(03:01):
like starting and quitting goals, all right? Letting perfectionism stop
our progress. That is one I've struggled with throughout my
entire life, right. I always like I've wanted to present
things in a professional way, so much so that I've

(03:22):
let it stop me over the years from putting stuff
out or doing more because I wasn't at the level
that I would have liked to be in that time. Right,
So I let the lack of the perfectionism and the
professionalism stop my progress, right, And we don't want to
do that anymore. Allowing fear, doubt, or distraction to take

(03:45):
over is another common reason that self trust is broken,
all right. And another one is being too hard on
ourselves when we fall off. Okay, like I said, we're human,
all right. You can't expect perfection out of you, your children,
your wife, your husband, anybody. Right, nothing is perfect nobody,

(04:07):
and nothing is perfect. But we can give ourselves grace
and allow ourselves some space for forgiveness when we do
fall off or we do make mistakes, right, and be
committed and ever intentional about getting back on track and

(04:28):
righting our wrongs and making up for where we left
back or held back, etc. Right, Like, we say we'll
show up and then we don't. We create routines and
then we go semon. Over time, our inner self will
just stop believing us. But guess what, that trust can
be rebuilt because it doesn't take a perfect streak, like

(04:52):
I said, It just takes the consistency and the intentional steps. Okay, Like,
you will always misstep somewhere along the way, But is
your intention to fall back in line and get back
on track of where you're headed or are you going
to let that misstep allow you to basically keep misstepping? Right,

(05:18):
And we don't want to do that. So how do
we rebuild that relationship with ourselves? How do we go
from flaking on our goals to actually showing up consistently
and even after we've slipped. All right, I'm gonna give
you five steps to rebuilding the self trust with yourself?
All right? Step one, own the fumble, but do it

(05:43):
with compassion though. Okay, you can't rebuild what you won't admit,
so be gentle and acknowledge it without the shame, all right.
Step two is start small and stay realistic, So don't
try to go zero to one hundred, all right. Rebuilding
trust starts with small winds that you can commit to

(06:06):
daily habits, ten minute tasks, et cetera. All right. Step
three is keep the promises you make and even if
they're small, all right, no promise is too small to
keep it right. So when you say you'll do something,
follow through, all right. That repetition builds the belief right

(06:27):
back on it, all right, And the more you do that,
the more your belief will solidify and become stronger. Okay.
Step four is to track your consistency, all right, So
you're gonna want to use a journal or an app
to keep yourself accountable. That way you can see the growth,

(06:48):
which will make it easier to keep going and give
you like something to kind of keep your milestones. Right,
it's either going to motivate you to go harder or
you're gonna see the progress you've made and be like, Okay,
I've done what I said I was going to do,

(07:08):
and you'll have solid proof that it's there and that
you've done it right. Like that's saying like, if there's
not a picture or a screenshot or a receipt, it
didn't happen, right, so keep your receipts for even your
own consistency and goal tracking. Okay, And step five celebrate progress,

(07:29):
not just perfection. All right. So every time that you
show up for you, celebrate it because that energy reinforces
the trust that you're rebuilding. And it's not about being perfect.
It's about proving to yourself over and over that you
can be trusted with your own dreams. All right. That's

(07:52):
super important because if you don't trust you, who else would? Right?
But all right, you guys, before we wrap up, I
want you to take this episode off the mic and
into your real life. All right, Grab a journal or
open up a note app, and sit with these three
questions sometime this evening. Question one, where have I broken

(08:18):
trust with myself? And how did it affect me? Question two?
What small promise can I keep to myself this week?
And question three? What would my life look like if
I fully trusted myself? Now, be honest with yourself, but

(08:39):
don't overthink it and don't judge the answers, all right,
Just let them come through, honest and pure. This is
just for you, nobody else, all right. Now we're gonna
lock it in with a few affirmations. Okay, we're gonna
speak them out loud or we can write them down,
but I want you to yield them in your spirit

(09:01):
and in your soul as you say these five affirmations,
all right, repeat after me. I keep the promises I
make to myself. I rebuild trust with every small action.

(09:26):
I am worthy of my own follow through. I don't
need to be perfect to be powerful. I trust myself
to grow, heal, and show up. Say those to yourself

(09:52):
three times every single day, especially on the days that
you feel off because repetition the belief. Ooh, you guys,
I needed this just as much as y'all did, because
building self trust is a total journey, and I'm on
it with you in real time, all right. So if

(10:13):
you've ever let yourself down, just know that you can
come back from it even stronger, all right, every single time,
I promise. So if this episode resonated with you, please
tag me on Socials, mis Just Official, Miss Just CEO,

(10:34):
the hardest for you. All right. You could also share

So if you want to be a guest on the
show or ask a question. For future episodes, please email
me at I Radio at JNP empires dot com. Let's
build together, and next week we're talking about something that

(10:56):
might make some people a little uncomfortable. Why self love
without self discipline is incomplete. It's time to elevate with
both compassion and commitment. So all right, fam, that's it
for today. We're gonna keep building, we're gonna keep showing up,
and we're gonna stay solid with ourselves. And remember your

(11:19):
only limit is you
