Speaker 1 (00:00):
Hey, beautiful souls, it's your girl, Rachel Carter here and
welcome back to self love affirmations for women. Today, we're
diving into something super important, creating healthy boundaries for emotional
well being. Ever feel like you're constantly giving, giving, giving,
until there's nothing left of you. You know that feeling
when people just drain your energy, leaving you feeling depleted

(00:21):
and a little resentful. Yeah, we've all been there. But
guess what, it doesn't have to be this way. Boundaries
are like invisible shields protecting your emotional energy. They define
what you're comfortable with, what you're not, and help you
safeguard your peace of mind. Think of it like setting
up a safe space for yourself, a sanctuary where you
can recharge and thrive. Now. I know some of you

(00:43):
might be thinking boundaries, isn't that being selfish? Honey? Please?
Setting boundaries is the opposite of selfishness. It's self love
in action. It's about honoring your needs, respecting your limits,
and ensuring your emotional well being doesn't get trampled on.
Let's break down five key tens akeaways to help you
master the art of setting healthy boundaries. One, identify your needs,

(01:05):
the first step is getting crystal clear on what you need,
What drains your energy, what makes you feel uncomfortable, What
are your non negotiables. Take some time for self reflection,
journal about it, and really listen to those inner whispers.
It's all about understanding yourself better. Two. Communicate clearly. Once
you know your needs, it's time to express them clearly

(01:25):
and assertively. Remember clear communication is key. Use I statements
like I need some alone time to recharge, or I
feel overwhelmed when I take on too much. Be direct, respectful,
but firm. Three practice saying no. This one can be
tough for some of us, the people pleasers, the peacemakers,
but saying no is crucial. You don't have to explain

(01:48):
yourself or justify your decisions. As simple thank you but
I'm not able to do that right now is perfectly sufficient.
Four set consequences. Think about what happens when someone disrespects
your boundary. What are the consequences? It could be limiting contact,
taking a break from the situation, or even walking away completely.
Having clear consequences helps enforce your boundaries and sends a

(02:11):
strong message. Five. Be patient and kind to yourself. Remember
setting boundaries is a process not a one time event.
There will be times when you stumble or people push back.
Be patient with yourself, learn from those experiences, and keep practicing.
You got this, okay, Let me paint you a picture.
Imagine Sarah, a wonderful woman juggling work, family, and a

(02:34):
bunch of social commitments. She's always saying yes to everyone,
even when she's feeling stretched thin. This leads to constant exhaustion,
resentment brewing, and ultimately her neglecting her own needs. Then
Sarah decides enough is enough. She starts setting boundaries. She
learns to say no to extra projects at work, decline
some social invitations, and schedules meantime into her week. Guess what,

(02:58):
Sarah feels more energy, less stressed, and rediscovers a sense
of joy in her life. Her relationships improve because she's
able to show up fully present instead of drained and depleted. Now,
this isn't about becoming a hermit or shutting everyone out.
It's about creating healthy connections where your needs are respected
and honored. It's about saying yes to yourself first, so

(03:19):
you can truly shine in all areas of your life. So,
my beautiful listeners, remember setting boundaries. Is an act of
self love, not selfishness. It empowers you to create a
life that feels fulfilling and authentic. Take those small steps today,
Communicate your needs clearly, and watch as your emotional well
being blossoms. I want to hear from you. Share your

(03:40):
thoughts on setting boundaries in the comments below, and if
