All this and more we ask in Jesus' name, Amen
and Amen. So how's everybody's week? Ben? I pray that
everything's been good. You all been good? Okay, pray that
y'all been good. The week's been good, The weekend was good.
Speaker 4 (03:47):
The weekend was good.
Speaker 2 (03:48):
Weekend was good.
Speaker 5 (03:50):
Thank you at a crazy starting today, But you know,
I know I'm optimistic that is going to be great
the rest of the week.
Speaker 2 (03:58):
Yeah, let it jump off the day. Let it jump
off the day. Let it jump off the day.
Speaker 3 (04:03):
I pray that those who are doing the jumping, and
it's a negative jump. Oh, you're gonna have visitation. You're
gonna have some dreams tonight. That's gonna change your life.
But when you wake up tomorrow morning and realize.
Speaker 2 (04:16):
You were giving the opportunity, the blessing to be able
to see another day, to see October seventh, twenty twenty five,
we hope that you'll get it, and you better apologize.
Speaker 3 (04:28):
If you act ugly today, you need to apologize. You
need to apologize, and you need to repent. And we're
gonna talk about that some more tonight. Oh it's gonna
be hot. It's gonna be good as always, Miss Kate.
Speaker 2 (04:40):
You doing all right over there? I'm all right. Yeah.
We had an evening afternoon, but God blessed.
Speaker 3 (04:48):
That showed out. We prayed right there in the public
and we got everything we asked for and more. We
thank you Jesus.
Speaker 2 (04:55):
Amen.
Speaker 3 (04:56):
Well tonight, I wanted to finish up well. I thought
we would be finishing up the remaining three Jewish high
Holy days. I don't know how was your young Kapoor.
Speaker 2 (05:09):
I did it. I knew that my medical team would
not like it, and I didn't tell them anything about
it until after the fact. I had to report at
the end of the hour my meals and what I
did for the day, and I said, I fasted, had
to do it, and it's not a religious thing. It
was my faith. It had everything to do with my faith,
and I did it. I did it. I don't know
(05:30):
what all was gonna happen after the fact.
Speaker 3 (05:32):
I just know that I was obedient and praying and
staying in prayer. It was just awesome. And I hope
that other folks follow So were they okay? Because you
oh they.
Speaker 2 (05:47):
I didn't give them a choice.
Speaker 3 (05:49):
I was like, oh, by the way at the end
of the day, at the end of the eve. But
God is good and their respect that very spectful, and
I'm thankful for that. I'm very blessed to have people,
you know, a team, and just have people really respect you.
Doctors and the practitioners, all of them, they give the respect,
(06:12):
and I'm thankful for that. I'm thankful. This past Saturday
was my I participated in an event here in Ovido, Florida,
which is not too far from Orlando. They did this
for the first time at the Ovito Mall called the
Pages and Pen Event, where at least a hundred authors
(06:36):
of all backgrounds, all genres gathered in the mall. We
took up the whole mall and over one hundred booths
at least brought our books.
Speaker 2 (06:48):
And I was so thankful that not only were we.
Speaker 3 (06:52):
You know, you think about it, You're like, I hope
that you know, not you know, I fitted with my neighbors,
my fellow vendors, you know where we were around, but
we were stuck right in the middle of faith based women.
That was just just awesome, awesome. It was just everybody
was looking out for each other and on our side.
(07:12):
I can't account for everything else. I wasn't able to
do like a pop up shop and walk all the
way around. I was not walking in the all. That
sounds fun. Gathering of the authors, Yes, Mickey, it was huge.
That was huge, and folks.
Speaker 2 (07:24):
Had their banners and things like that.
Speaker 3 (07:25):
I didn't bring one of my bank I didn't bring
my banners because I didn't know what kind of room
we were.
Speaker 2 (07:29):
Working with in the future. I bring up.
Speaker 3 (07:32):
People had huge banners and stuff, and it was just,
you know, I met some new acquaintances and we're gonna
be doing some work together, collaborating on some things in
the future. A few of my folks showed up that
surprised me. I put it out there on my social media,
and my kids, the twins especially put it on their
social media. I sold a few books, but had great conversation,
(07:57):
had great conversation and it was so funny. We were
in front of a behavioral therapy company. They were closed.
It was Saturday, but they were closed, but I was like, oh,
this is funny. I'm in front of the behavioral therapy people.
But anyway, it was good. And this Saturday coming up,
I'll be doing a book signing of the new book
(08:18):
at a local Christian bookstore so for a few hours.
So I'm looking forward to that, and you know, I
had to be God is so precious. He had to
remind me because I've been kind of, you know, not worried,
but just really kind of.
Speaker 2 (08:33):
Like how things are going to be? Lord, you know
what am I going to be doing next?
Speaker 3 (08:40):
And he was so gentle to remind me as I
was listening to Prophet Jiles reading a book that is therapy.
Yes it is at the station, and that's one thing
I was encouraging all the customers, all the people that
came by, and even my fellow authors that you know,
it is so refreshing to see people with a hardcover
(09:01):
book at the doctor's appointments, at appointments that they know
that they're going to be there for a minute, they
don't know the timing, but they bring in their book
with their bookmark. And I was like, okay, people are
you know? And I think I shared last time. You know,
ms K does tutoring and we were at a local
library and to see that library pack they did not
(09:22):
have speakers, they weren't having events. Those are people. This
is late in the evening too. It was gloomy outside
and everything, but people came in, you know, giving books,
all ages, all ethnic groups, all cultures, which was so amazing,
Like I just sat there watching this like these, I mean,
people are serious about books, a hardcover book, and it
(09:46):
was very refreshing to see that. While we do appreciate technology.
We appreciate we have ebooks. We appreciate you know, being
able to get things electronically, h you know, you can
get the ePrint books and all that kind of stuff,
and we appreciate technology, but it's just so crude and
(10:07):
refreshing to see folks looking seriously for a book and
had several books in their hand. And even those who
are billionaires talk about the fact that they read five
to seven books a month, they still do that to
educate themselves, to be better conversationalists, you know, to be
able to participate in society. And that's what books do
(10:31):
for you. I remember as I worked in the library,
the city library, I would go and get the book
of Quotations of all books that was in the reference section,
and I'm sitting at the desk, sitting there going through
all these quotes and stuff, and you know, it was
just something. I don't know why I did it. I
just knew that at fourteen fifteen, I have a lot
of audio books for the driving, but I'd like to
(10:52):
hold a book in hand when I get a chance.
Speaker 2 (10:54):
Yeah, miss it.
Speaker 3 (10:55):
It's just something about having that book, a book in
your hand, you know, and and you know, or a
study guide.
Speaker 2 (11:04):
I was looking.
Speaker 3 (11:04):
I bought a tumbler from my one of my co
vendors there, one of the vendors there next door, and
I didn't realize that it also came with it had
a book and a work book attached to it.
Speaker 2 (11:16):
And I'm like, oh my gosh.
Speaker 3 (11:17):
I was talking to the you know, the author about
that and she goes, yeah, this is the reason why
I wrote this and stuff, and I'm like, well, I
got the tumbler because it was so cool looking, but
I didn't know there was a book and a work
book attached to it.
Speaker 2 (11:28):
And I think that's so neat, you know. So I
wanted to just encourage people. Get a book, Get a
good book.
Speaker 3 (11:35):
To read, you know, find a favorite, Get an author
that you know, even if it's a self help, a
learning book, a work book, you know, an active work book.
For my occupational therapists and my physical therapist that came by.
I brought them gifts and in that that in their
bags they've opened it by now, but in their bags
(11:56):
work was a coloring book, was a coloring book and
some craym because these are hard working young ladies and moms.
And one is a new mom, you know, and you know,
and I know she's excited and everything else. And I
set it in front of her and the fiance that
you know, when we're carrying the baby, we get we
get all kinds of attention, but once that baby is
(12:18):
out of us, it's like, oh hey, oh, you know,
because the baby need anything, and attention is off of us. So,
as I said, sooner or later, he will be he's walking.
He's gonna be walking, and he's gonna be heading the daycare.
He's gonna be heading the kindergarten.
Speaker 2 (12:34):
Who are you now? Because things have changed and things
are changing, So I want.
Speaker 3 (12:39):
You to find that spark of that fun and keep
the fun, and I sent to the fiance, y'all keep
the dating, keep it, keep the date nights, keep them active.
Speaker 2 (12:47):
I said. My baby sister posts all the time her
date nights with her husband and they're at the gym
working out.
Speaker 3 (12:53):
They're at the gym, so you gotta keep it fun
and you know, keep it, keep it exciting and stuff
like that. So I got them a couple of little
things too that was just on my mind and my heart,
and the Lord was saying, yeah, get that for this one,
and get that one for this one, and get those
colors and stuff. And you know, it really meant a
lot to me to bring that. And then they came
to support because now they and purchased the books, the
(13:15):
book that where it talks about them and my treatment
and everything else. So and I heard I got an
email a text this morning from my physical my occupational therapist.
Speaker 2 (13:25):
She said, I started your book last night and I
couldn't put it down.
Speaker 3 (13:28):
She said that I laughed and I cried, and she said,
I know that it's going to help somebody else.
Speaker 2 (13:33):
Along the way on their journey. Ah, you know, that's
what it's all about. That's what it's all about.
Speaker 3 (13:39):
So before I go into the remaining Jewish holidays high
holy days. God specifically strategically wanted me to talk about
to bring up the fact that you all need to repent.
You've got to have a repenting lifestyle. That's number one.
Speaker 2 (13:54):
And then number two prayer points that we're going to
talk about that tonight.
Speaker 3 (13:57):
Pray points. What are your prayer points and how many
of you were able to find some scriptures to go
along with it. If you weren't, that's no problem. You
can still participate in the conversation. But God said, you
need to get to know His word. And the only
way you're gonna get to know it not wait from
Sunday to Sunday for the pastor the preacher or Bible
study night during the weekday. But you've got to do
(14:18):
your own Bible study every day every week, regardless of
where you are. You need to prioritize God's word, he
said it.
Speaker 2 (14:27):
And prayer points. He really he blew up a little bit.
Speaker 3 (14:30):
Of the conversation the dialogue today for me throughout my day,
and He was saying, you know, their prayer points will
be a great lead into studying My word. Because the
homework was come up with your prayer points. Let's talk
about them. I'm not gonna discover they're your prayer points. Okay,
I'm not gonna say, oh, you know, no, maybe you
(14:52):
shouldn't know what are your prayer points and then find
scripture to support it, and guess.
Speaker 2 (14:57):
What you're learning scripture and you stay right there. The kids.
Speaker 3 (15:01):
We had our second Bible study the other night, and
it was to talk about their.
Speaker 2 (15:04):
Prayer points and matching scriptures.
Speaker 3 (15:06):
And everybody had a whole different viewpoint of that, and
we discussed it all and everybody's like, oh, okay, so everybody,
you know, it's no.
Speaker 2 (15:13):
There's no right way or wrong way. The only wrong
thing is that you don't do that.
Speaker 3 (15:19):
You don't participate, You don't you allow the Bible to
scare you. I've been there, done that, and I've shared
that with you all before.
Speaker 2 (15:27):
I'll share it again.
Speaker 3 (15:28):
The Bible was the last book I ever wanted to
read net Loan study.
Speaker 2 (15:33):
But I worked out of.
Speaker 3 (15:34):
Church at the Primitive Baptist Church one Sunday and kept
shaking my heads like that don't make sense. It took
me a minute because I had Bibles from the nineteen
fifties at the house, but I finally started studying the Bible.
I didn't do Revelation the first year, too scared. They
look scared me about Revelation.
Speaker 2 (15:51):
Revelations book you need to study because it times. All
the others and chapters talk about, well, the day will
come soon, be on the lookout. Four. This is the
sign of the time.
Speaker 3 (16:05):
Revelation tells you what the signs are, the times are.
We don't know the day or the hour when Jesus
is coming back. We can't say that enough. I'm not
gonna keep repeating myself on that one. I know the
world want was to just that. They're just so hungry.
They just gotta have that exact date.
Speaker 2 (16:21):
Except was there there was an alarm in the sky.
Speaker 3 (16:26):
No September. Oh, let's do it was a twenty fourth.
It's gonna be the twenty Okay, were looking, I didn't
even look.
Speaker 2 (16:31):
Trust me. We hear the sound of the trumpet. We're here.
Speaker 3 (16:34):
We know something was not Oh, something's gonna happen today.
Stop that, because those who are worrying watching those dates.
Speaker 2 (16:42):
I don't know if you know Jesus. More importantly, do
we know you?
Speaker 3 (16:46):
And I know everybody that other people who want the
end times to come on, Come on, come Jesus, come
come today, Come on. Why why are you such a
hurry at the end, knowing that that your time is
just about up, that the time is just about up.
Why are you hurrying? And why are you are Why
are you such so much of a.
Speaker 2 (17:03):
Hurry at the end of this Even running a race,
most runners know, don't start out that race with all
your gusto.
Speaker 3 (17:13):
You've got to slow it, pace yourself because you've got
four rounds to go. Patious, Even drivers at the d
five hundred and the dayton of five hundred, you pace yourself.
Speaker 2 (17:25):
If you can put enough gap between you and the
pack around that.
Speaker 3 (17:30):
Second time, you need to hold it for the remaining
of the time.
Speaker 2 (17:33):
If you could put that gap, then you got to
hold it around three and especially round four.
Speaker 3 (17:39):
What are you saying? What I'm saying is you got
to start somewhere. And I think some of you are
going to look back and say, oh my God, the
things I could have done, the things I should have done,
the mindset I should have had, the discipline I should
have had, and I had to repent.
Speaker 2 (17:55):
God was so precious of this afternoon I was.
Speaker 3 (17:57):
I was sitting there and we were listening to Joshua
Giles for Today's.
Speaker 2 (18:03):
Word, and I'm like, oh, and he said one sentence.
Speaker 3 (18:08):
I'm sitting there like, oh my god, oh my god,
oh my god.
Speaker 2 (18:11):
Lord, thank you. And I'm right there in public doing it. Lord.
Speaker 3 (18:14):
Thank you for forgiveness, thank you for correction, thank you,
thank you.
Speaker 4 (18:18):
Lord.
Speaker 2 (18:19):
I completely forgot. I got caught up. I got caught up.
I got distracted for a moment. He brought me back around.
He wanted it. He held time for me to come
back around. Hear this message today and say, oh, I'm
a stoared oh over the books, over this podcast, over
any money's I got my even my money, this, you know,
(18:42):
my my disabilitybody, I get everyone. I'm a storeward. Over that.
I own nothing.
Speaker 3 (18:48):
He allowed, God, Jesus, the Holy, the Spirit, they allow,
the Triune Being allowed me. Trusts me with this pot cast,
trust me with all of these books I've written, Trust
me with every piece of conversation.
Speaker 2 (19:07):
That I have. They trust me. I'm just a steward.
It's not my books, it's not my podcast, is not
my this myn that.
Speaker 3 (19:16):
That's when ah, yeah, even I was on that course
because every now and then those thoughts have just come
in my mind. This past Saturday, the Lord told me
how many books of each to take with me, and
I'm looking at the folks.
Speaker 2 (19:28):
And I'm like, okay, I can only bring my books.
Speaker 3 (19:30):
I should only bring up not my anointed oil, not
my not my book bookmarks.
Speaker 2 (19:35):
But I can only bring books. Everybody came here with everything,
and I had one flyer that had my my annoyt oil,
and somebody asked me about the annointed oil. I said,
I'm so sorry. I thought I was supposed to bring
my books I had. I didn't want to redo the
flyer to eliminate everything on there, because next week I'm
probably have my anointed oil with me at the book signing.
(19:57):
And you know I God is good. God is good.
Where's my audience? Who's listening tonight?
Speaker 3 (20:02):
I need to we need to see who's listening, who's
on board with us tonight?
Speaker 2 (20:06):
I know Anna Stagia is there, Misty.
Speaker 4 (20:08):
Yeah, I think we saw Mickey too, Mickey.
Speaker 2 (20:10):
As well, who else? Just to just say hi, we're
not gonna call you out. Just like to know who's
listening tonight. And I know many people listen because I
see the reviews not reviews, but I see numbers of
shares and things like that, and thank you all from
Rebel to the crew.
Speaker 3 (20:28):
I'm here out here from the crew. They're sharing on
setting it straight with Miss gray Page. They're sharing, So
thank you for that. I appreciate that. We appreciate that,
we really do. God appreciates that as well, and He's
gonna bless.
Speaker 2 (20:42):
You for it because you don't have to do that.
You're listening live. But you go back and you take
the show and you said, oh, y'all need to listen
to this. Thank you. We appreciate that. God is good.
Speaker 3 (20:52):
We're not going to always be here. So take what
you need, learn what you need, strengthen yourself. But God
seriously wants you all to He said, the best way
to study my word again at your four or five
at least five prayer points? What are you praying about?
What's bothering you in the world? And I couldn't say
what's bothering Trey don't. I don't know what all is,
(21:15):
what's on her concern list? I don't have no clue
until she tells us. And like what even for mss K,
I don't know what's on her mind? What's really, what
issues out here are really bother on inside the family?
Speaker 2 (21:27):
What is it? I don't know that.
Speaker 3 (21:29):
But you get your prayer points and you get scripture
and you're like, wait a minute, what am I sweating for?
My yoke is easy, My burden is like I'm like, burden,
burden means heavy, you know, weighed down, and oh my god,
and oh I.
Speaker 2 (21:42):
Can't believe this is happening. And then I go and
come across my favorite scripture, Psalms eighty one and six.
I'll remove your.
Speaker 3 (21:49):
Shoulder from the burden and remove you and free your
hands from the points, free your hands from working from
paycheck to page to pay your bills. I'll remove the
burden of financial obligation that I will remove if you
let me do it.
Speaker 2 (22:08):
I want to be my story. In the beginning, my
parents was devoted.
Speaker 3 (22:12):
To Sears charge card and Western Auto, which is now
a firestone because we always purchase used cars.
Speaker 2 (22:19):
But they were they.
Speaker 3 (22:20):
Ran well, and that's the only thing I thought. Okay,
I turned a TV, I got my driver's license, I
went and got my voters registration car, and I got
me a Sears charge card and any hey, eld K,
it's see I share the show so others can listen.
I'm hoping all my friends will learn and enjoy the
show like so many of us do it. Thank you, missy.
That's all you can do. That's all you could do.
(22:41):
I'm putting it out there. You cannot walk by us,
us three Rebel and the crew that the faithful crew
that thisens weekly, that chairs weekly. You can't ever approach
any of us and say you didn't know. You will
never be able to say that to Tree has family
(23:01):
that's listening. They'll never said, well, Tree, why didn't you
tell us you know that we could do this outside
of church. You you can't go and say it to her.
You can't if you've listened, you can't and her lifestyle
she's showing you, Oh no, it's not the church.
Speaker 2 (23:18):
We're outside of the church now, not saying that you
shouldn't go to church because you still need to be fed.
Some of you still need You're still babes in Christ.
Get good footing in the Lord.
Speaker 3 (23:30):
And you don't know what he has planned and you
have your learning, so let him chastise you, let him
correct you. I appreciate and respect my taekwondo instructor. She's
so gentle, and she's so nice when she corrected when
you're doing something wrong.
Speaker 2 (23:47):
You can't be mad you.
Speaker 4 (23:49):
The one went wrong.
Speaker 2 (23:51):
She just wants you to do it right. She's been
out there longer than you.
Speaker 5 (23:57):
Yes, So no, I was just gonna just kind of
piggyback on what you said when you said people need
to be fed, and so I would courage you even
if you're not going inside of the church wall. You know,
one way if if you want to kind of test
it out. Now there's technology. Sometimes churches are streaming life.
So if it's a church in your hometown or one
(24:20):
that you heard of, you know, follow it and maybe
listen to it on a Sunday or whenever they hold
the church and see if you like it. You know,
that way, you're not you're not sitting in there feeling uncomfortable.
Speaker 4 (24:33):
You can kind of get the vibe through the screen.
Speaker 5 (24:36):
You know how they do, what's the procedures and the
protocols and how they do. You know what the program
is like, and then that way you can kind of
get a feel of whether you would want to try
and visit in person. But that's a way, or you
can many churches and it's different churches I follow, and
sometimes I'm able to get on and just look at
the different sermons and stuff like that without even having
(24:58):
to physically go when you know, so that is a
way and sometimes their tape, so that might be a
way to to be fed with, especially if you're new
to the faith or just trying to new to this
walk or trying to find out what it's all about.
Speaker 4 (25:14):
And that's a way to kind of get your feet
wet as well.
Speaker 3 (25:17):
And not for yourself. I've already shared over the years,
these past few years, at least over twenty sayings that
are not scripture that people try to say that they're scripture.
Speaker 2 (25:28):
They're not scripture. It's just good to just be able.
And again we've got technology now, like Trey said, there's no.
Speaker 3 (25:35):
Reason why you're not connected to something. There's something that's good,
something that's full and vital.
Speaker 2 (25:41):
Let me tell you.
Speaker 3 (25:42):
And now I know some of your thinking, well, you
know these other little church, these other little people who
really don't believe in God, but they believe in the
atmosphere and the app what the world, the universe, and
the sun and the moon. And you know what, let
me tell you something, Sun and moon didn't create us.
Sunny Moon didn't create us. The rocks, we didn't. It
(26:03):
was no Big bang theory.
Speaker 2 (26:04):
Who made the rock that blew up that created humans.
We're going with that. You know what I said? Now,
just listen, just sit back.
Speaker 3 (26:12):
Like science has even had to admit there is something
greater out there.
Speaker 2 (26:17):
We can't we can't put a name on it. We're
not gonna name it.
Speaker 3 (26:20):
What you think, but there's something that's that's a creator.
And the devil can't create nothing. All he does is
recruit because.
Speaker 2 (26:29):
People have been so disappointed with God.
Speaker 3 (26:31):
God let them down, or they were raised in a family.
My my deceased Husban was raised in a family. All
the mom went to church Sunday, the Blue Sunday. Then
God forbid the man. The pastor had them collecting pennies.
One time we went up there and he said, man,
what is this? He said, oh, we collected pennies for
the church. He said what He almost cussed him, use coffanity.
Speaker 4 (26:52):
What did they have?
Speaker 2 (26:53):
You?
Speaker 3 (26:53):
You ate almost eighty years older, you've beending down picking
up a penny. I was like, oh, you can't talk
to God about about him, about God because he's thinking
that the path that God told the past collect how
the members collect pennies, and I just kept my mind
from I didn't say a word. I was like, oh Lord,
why did you even have the pennies out? You know
how your children are, those that don't go to church,
(27:13):
you know how they are. And I mean, oh my god.
He was walking away, just talking to himself, and I'm like,
oh my.
Speaker 2 (27:19):
God, oh my god.
Speaker 3 (27:20):
The devil is not creative. He copies, He's a copycat.
He has nothing, he can't think of, nothing new. He
was there in the beginning when everything was created, so
he just comes and messes it up and darkens it.
Speaker 2 (27:32):
Oh you you. And he told me. I mean not
that he told me, but you know, my mind told me, oh,
I'm not gonna be I wouldn't be a good candidate
for Christendom. I talked too loud. I'm loud. Worked in
the library for years, but I'm loud.
Speaker 3 (27:49):
And I got confused with that scripture that blessed are
they who are meek?
Speaker 2 (27:52):
That felt meek meant quiet, Well, that's not me. And
had no idea that the gifts and skills and talents
God blessed me with that I utilize on my daily,
in my daily atmosphere.
Speaker 3 (28:04):
My daily jobs and organizations. I was a product they
that's where they were needed.
Speaker 2 (28:12):
Private school. I thank god I had to go to
private school because I wanted so much. Whether those nuns
in priests were feeling sorry for this poor little black child,
we're gonna help her, we're gonna bring her under, I
don't care what their thoughts were. Guess what I had
the best, and I had the nuns and priests backing
me up when family did not back me up. The
only thing they kind of miss.
Speaker 3 (28:32):
Sister Helen wanted me to go the acting route because
you know, we took the school, the state, the choirs,
and and speech debate, and that she wanted me to
go that entertainment route.
Speaker 2 (28:42):
I was like, there's no money in that.
Speaker 3 (28:43):
Sister hell I need to get this math down because
I think I'm gonna be a psychologist.
Speaker 2 (28:48):
I'm gonna have to take statistic That was one problem
on one page, takes four pages one for me. That
messed my mind up, but I passed, Thank you Jesus.
Not knowing I would be a collagen instructor one day,
a college professor, not knowing that I would be an
author one day. I don't knowing that touch thing as
(29:11):
a podcast, like like you know, Howard Stern and he's
you know, he's kind of off now, I think, But
you know I used to be you know, I used
to like, Wow, have a radio and people can look
at you and you're on radio and you got your
headphones on them. Now y'all just doing too much, all
that headphone stuff and you just talking to your microphone
and your computer. Y'all need to just really stuff. You
just want to look all matching, look at my colors
(29:32):
and all that. Don't go there. I'm I'm gonna roll
myself out of podcasting because everybody got a podcast now,
Everybody writing books now finally, after we begged you to
do it, tell you a story somebody want to listen to,
but everybody everybody.
Speaker 3 (29:47):
Got one now Now I'm bold everybody else is doing it.
I like first, I was at that event this Saturday
and I was telling customers coming up, I said, this
is their first time doing this. I'm won't be back
next year because I've already got my first did I
did it. I'm amongst the first archive.
Speaker 2 (30:03):
Of the history at the Oviedo Bomb. I'm happy. I'm happy.
Speaker 3 (30:07):
I don't have to keep doing things over and over
and over again. I don't thank you, thank you. I
hope this is helping somebody. You have to study the
Word because.
Speaker 2 (30:16):
You're missing out. Not only does it get you closer
to the Triune being right, not only does it help
you to understand.
Speaker 3 (30:23):
It's some understanding that you're not going to hear in
any classroom. When you're not gonna hear it any Sunday school,
and you're not gonna hear it in the church, You're
gonna get some better understanding like whoa.
Speaker 2 (30:31):
And then more importantly, it's like wow, the power and
authority I know I now have. It has nothing to
do with my degrees, it has nothing to do with
my work experience. I've studied the Word.
Speaker 3 (30:45):
I study about my ancestors, Jeremiah and Moses, Ruth, Judge, Debrah,
all of them.
Speaker 2 (30:52):
We're back all of them. Those are my people. I
don't have to go to Africa to five nobody. I
don't know nobody that I'm not connected to Africa. I'm
not ancestry dot com. I said, we are come from
the old school, the old Congo. I didn't know there
was a new Congo. Now y'all dividing up the congo.
I don't even know what that means. Oh is, I
could go and I.
Speaker 3 (31:11):
Could discuss, talk up to Joshua, I could talk to
uncle David.
Speaker 2 (31:15):
I could study about his lifestyle. O was at fifteen, he.
Speaker 3 (31:18):
Was just a shepherd boy, that's all he was known as.
And then he Samuel Prophecy, and I know there is
a king. He's gonna be young, but there is a
king and.
Speaker 2 (31:27):
His boy teenager, and y'all who are called to deal
with teenagers, if you're not doing anything, you need to
be ashamed of yourself. Because here is David, a shepherd
boy tending the sheep.
Speaker 3 (31:40):
Samuel comes to talk to his daddy. Don't you have
another son yet? But he's out there with the sheep.
Let me say, yeah, that's that's that's who we're gonna
need to watch and say, David comes in innocent?
Speaker 2 (31:52):
Are my brothers? And then and the day the way
they went to town. You know there's that that that
that large thing in town. Something. He said, well, they
must be hungry, something like a child. He takes them
something to eat, and then he's walking there like why
ain't back here and come here Da, what are you
doing here? Well, I thought you were hungry.
Speaker 3 (32:11):
They didn't really tell me what you were doing here,
but I just thought I bringing some phone.
Speaker 2 (32:15):
But why are y'all hiding back here? Don't you see
that thing out there? The nine thing, that monster with
one eye?
Speaker 3 (32:22):
And everybody wants to talk about the third eye. I
ain't going there with y'all. Keep having the eye, daddy,
wherever it's at, keep having the eye. See how far
you get who you talk off the ledge? Yeah, y'all
gonna be mad at me to now the other people,
not the regular people.
Speaker 5 (32:36):
You.
Speaker 2 (32:36):
Oh, I got the third eye? What does that mean?
What does that mean? Intuition?
Speaker 3 (32:41):
I could No, that's called prophecy. That's called being a prophet.
To me, I can see in the future, and I
have just these two. But I don't see what these
two I see what the spirit?
Speaker 2 (32:50):
Sorry, let me come back. And they're like David, like
what I understand?
Speaker 3 (32:56):
He reach it in his pocket, walking into the center,
And here's Goliah saying, Oh, that's what y'all do, that's
what you want Israelites do. You're sitting a boy to
do a man's job, and his brothers are like, what
are you?
Speaker 2 (33:08):
And then they put on come back David, No, here,
put on the armor, put on some armor.
Speaker 3 (33:13):
He's we already know he's gonna Who's gonna tell Daddy
about this one? Who's gonna tell Dad that we let
this boy walk out there? He just brought us some sandwiches,
but we let him go. Who's he put the sheep up?
I hope he like the sheep up in the gate
because he was supposed to be tended to the sheep.
Speaker 2 (33:28):
Why are you here?
Speaker 3 (33:29):
Well here, put on some armor, put on some armor,
and they're like, okay, we can't stop it because Dad
was like, I don't understand why y'all back here.
Speaker 2 (33:35):
He's just one person. He's just one person. You don't
think I want to read about him? Study him now?
He became a king the least expected. His brothers were
known for valor. They were known to be worried. That's
why the ain't gonna went to town or go fight the
big giant. And this boy he walking.
Speaker 3 (33:52):
I can just see David walking. Got his pouch. I
like my cross body handbags.
Speaker 2 (33:58):
You know, David had his cross body pouch. He's digging
in his head in his pouch.
Speaker 3 (34:02):
He just said, oh what now, what kind of pebbles
I got? I got a red, got a blue one?
And well he is taller than me. Well maybe blue.
I don't know what's going you know, he.
Speaker 2 (34:12):
Digging in his pouchot and all you like, and there
is just and you.
Speaker 3 (34:21):
Ruth is a widow. A mother in law's a widow.
Her sister in law is a widow.
Speaker 2 (34:26):
Ruth.
Speaker 3 (34:27):
Naomi tells the dude, the daughter in laws, I can't
give you any more husbands. So to your people, Bruce said,
oh your people, my people, your god, my god.
Speaker 2 (34:36):
What did Ruth's go do?
Speaker 4 (34:38):
What? To work?
Speaker 2 (34:39):
I gotta take care. I'm not gonna expect Naomi to
get out there and do anything. I gotta go to work.
She look over, Oh that's some weed over there, So
give me some sheep. Bringing in the sheaves. You know
where these songs come from. You want to get some
sheaves as boys like, who is that? Oh?
Speaker 3 (35:00):
You know that's ruthe Oh, Biden, Naomi, and you know
the crew he said, oh yeah, we'll leave us some
of the good stuff.
Speaker 2 (35:06):
We are the good leaves. Leave those behind. He said, well,
what's she doing? Well, she's taking care of Naomi. Oh, yeah,
leave us some good stuff. And she once they get together,
bear old Bed who bears the root of David, of Jesse,
David's dad, and David begins the root of Jesus Christ.
Who wouldn't want to know that?
Speaker 3 (35:26):
Who wouldn't those of you who are you? Get depressed
real quick? You're introverts. You don't like to do public speaking.
Go look up Jeremiah to Jeremiah, God God himself and said, Jeremiah,
why are you sitting outside the fence?
Speaker 2 (35:41):
Everybody crazy? Isn't that I am not good at his speech?
He said, well, I asked you to be good of speech.
You need to tell them what I told you to
tell him.
Speaker 3 (35:49):
Moses, Moses kill the man saved as a baby, raised
in the King's house, in the King's palace, soldier.
Speaker 2 (35:57):
Lead andindrolites to freedom.
Speaker 3 (36:00):
Had to go to Moses, had to go to the enemy,
had to go to. The principal, had to go to,
the president, had to go to.
Speaker 2 (36:05):
The governor, had to go through the adversary, had to
go to his enemies, and any times and say, my
God said let my people go. Wouldn't want to study
about it?
Speaker 3 (36:16):
People he brought to people? Then they still you know
they're acting up because Efty Lash. They had the all
guys and they said, let's go back to Egypt. At
least we could eat you dirt, you probably our animal
parts and stuff, all kinds of stuff.
Speaker 2 (36:30):
You want to go back to that and be in bondage? Okay?
And to me, if you don't study.
Speaker 3 (36:36):
His word, you're in bondage because you don't know your freedom.
Speaker 2 (36:40):
You don't know what's waiting on you by.
Speaker 4 (36:43):
Right, if God, if God leads you out of it.
Speaker 5 (36:46):
If God leads you out of it, you don't need
to return to it because he sees.
Speaker 2 (36:51):
Where you go. You know what's it gonna do for you?
Lit's see how it looks. I'm looking at you. How
how does that work for you?
Speaker 3 (36:57):
That's a that's a true saying, Oh, where where's that
got you?
Speaker 4 (37:02):
But if you look at it. To Lisa, you are
social worker.
Speaker 5 (37:06):
People would rather stay miserable in their comfort with their
known to or what they're familiar to, trust going somewhere else,
you know, working with with victims of the mess of violence,
the fear of the unknown. Well, I know what I
got one right here, but if I leave, you know,
(37:29):
how can I make sure that I make sure, you know,
make sure that I eat, my children eat, or.
Speaker 4 (37:34):
Where we're going to live.
Speaker 5 (37:35):
It's the fear of the unknown, and people tend to
gravitate or stay within the familiar, not wanting to take
a chance.
Speaker 4 (37:42):
But you know, in this walk, you know, I've learned to.
Speaker 5 (37:46):
Have to do something different and and it's in this's
and it's proven great so far from me, So I
have no complaints.
Speaker 4 (37:55):
It's not an easy walk, but he's definitely.
Speaker 5 (37:58):
Shown me and introduce me to some things that I
probably wouldn't have known or experienced. How I stayed in
it like and like I do a disclaimer. You know,
I always believed in God, always understood you know that.
But it's just I think doing things my way instead
of trusting what He has for me. And sometimes he'll
(38:19):
allow things to happen. So, okay, you ready to listen.
Now do I have your attention? You know, Let let
let's get moving. You're there, Let's see where we can
move you from.
Speaker 4 (38:29):
So you have to trust. That's the process Lee was leaning,
not onto your own understanding.
Speaker 2 (38:35):
All you have to do is look at it.
Speaker 3 (38:37):
When you say, I remember I used to get loans
from pay day loan places and stuff. And I walked
in that one day and I stood at the door
and there was no other customer in there, and the
young already had favor with the people.
Speaker 2 (38:50):
They Normally, if you're launch, you know, self employed, you.
Speaker 3 (38:52):
Have to wait a few days after you paid the
one loan off and then come back. And I was
just standing there and I said, I can't do that,
and serve you, I can't do this.
Speaker 2 (39:03):
I'm asking you to help me. Things feel intense, but
I think in.
Speaker 3 (39:06):
A good way they do, And you're right, it is
intense because, like Trey said, it's the unknown. We don't
know what tomorrow is gonna bring. We just know it's Tuesday.
On Tuesdays, it's Taco Tuesday at Tijuana Flats. That's all
I know. Taco Tuesday at Tijuana Flats. That's all I
know about a Tuesday. And I know what shows should
be coming on tomorrow evening.
Speaker 2 (39:27):
That's all I know. I don't know anything else. But
I'm just I stood there and I was like, I
can't and the young.
Speaker 3 (39:35):
Ladies like, hey, how you doing, And she's like, what
what's wrong? And I was talking really to myself, but
I was talking to the heavens, and I'm like, I'm
so sorry.
Speaker 2 (39:43):
I can't do this and serve you. I can't. I can't.
Speaker 3 (39:46):
I don't know what you you have for me to do,
but I can't be the example if I keep coming here.
I've got to trust you. My paychecks are not they
don't know, they don't do the job, they don't pay
other I gotta try trust you. And young I said, no,
don't worry, Aboudy, come back tomorrow. I'll be here tomorrow.
I'll get you your new loan tomorrow. I said no,
I paid my debt. I said, I can't come back,
(40:09):
but I thank you. I thank you for your respect.
I thank you for that. You know you're looking out
for me, but I need him looking out for me
one hundred percent. And that means you can't be in
my life. I can't depend on you. I can't depend
on this organization, this company. But thank you. And I
never went back. I never went to the pawnshop again.
(40:29):
I didn't go to Amscott get a payday loan.
Speaker 2 (40:32):
I didn't.
Speaker 3 (40:33):
I didn't get another job either. All of a sudden,
other opportunities doors opened up that I did not know.
We're even there I trusted God, and then yes, it's
uncomfortable in your flesh because your brain wants to have
all the sense.
Speaker 2 (40:49):
Your brain wants to direct you. Your flesh wants you
to be achy in pain and everything. So you could
go and count, you know, count on this and kind
of on drinking.
Speaker 3 (40:58):
I mean, I've seen more people getting two or three
bottles of wine at publics, and this is in the
middle of the week, so I know you not. You
can't be having a party two or three bottles of liquor.
Speaker 2 (41:11):
I'm like, what. But at the end of the hour,
you come down.
Speaker 3 (41:14):
Off your high and your problems are still there. You
rob Peter to pay Paul, but the problem is still there.
Speaker 2 (41:22):
Try God, trust him. He tell you in the word
try me and see old taste and see that the
Lord is good. But you gotta try him.
Speaker 3 (41:32):
It's not my story. You can't ride off a trade story.
You can't ride off a miss cage testimony.
Speaker 2 (41:37):
You got to have your own. And I promise you
it's a hard step. But once you start, and it's small,
it's small.
Speaker 3 (41:44):
And not no big leaps, not no jumping high and
all this.
Speaker 2 (41:48):
It's just small steps and it's hard to let go.
It's hard to trust, I get it, but to trust
that which you cannot see. But you can feel him.
You can tell when he's in the room. You know
when you're not alone, when you're crying the darkest of
nights because you don't.
Speaker 3 (42:07):
Know what's gonna happen. Foreclosure is on the horizon. You
got you don't get paid until Friday, and even then
that got to go to the rent. But you got
three bills due between today and right. Trusted, trusted. Now
it's not for everybody. Let me, let me get that straight.
Because Trey and I know there are two types of
(42:29):
homeless people. Before all this other, before twenty twenty, there
were two types of.
Speaker 2 (42:33):
Homeless people, those who couldn't help it and those who
didn't care. Those who didn't care.
Speaker 3 (42:37):
You don't get my energy. You don't get you know,
the resources. You can recite them backwards. You don't need me.
You just coming in for comfort. You do an infringement
so you could get arrested, so you could at least
be on a cot and get a peanut butter sandwich
or a ballooney.
Speaker 2 (42:51):
Sandwich, hot cut. Yes, thank you, that's what you depend on.
So no, I'm gonna put my energy into those folks.
And look, at the time all want to close out
with anything before we head out, I'll just.
Speaker 6 (43:03):
Say I'll just say, you know, backing up what you
guys were saying.
Speaker 2 (43:08):
I mean, that's what faith looks like.
Speaker 6 (43:09):
If you really want to know what faith look like,
just read Hebrews eleven and that just tells you multiple
stories of people just actually relying on God and trusting
him and believing his word when he told him, you know,
when they experienced him and stuff like that, and just
hearing testimonials period. You should want to let go and
let God do what he needs to do in those
(43:30):
situations that just rely on him.
Speaker 4 (43:32):
It may be hard, you may want to.
Speaker 6 (43:33):
Control it, but ask God forgiveness when you're about to
try to control anything. Allow him to do his work.
I mean, he tells us in the Bible. You just
got to read it for yourself to know. He does
multiple stories most like, lots of proof. What more can
we say?
Speaker 2 (43:49):
But yeah, and then miss Kay, well, guys, we're gonna
see you next week. We're gonna talk some more. I
will come back and finish up with coming, you know,
talking about a few of the holidays but do your homework,
get your prayer points, get scripture at least three.
Speaker 3 (44:06):
Thank you, This was a blessing. Hey Kate, thank you
so much for joining us. Y'all be blessed. So you
next week, same time, same station, Not
Speaker 2 (44:15):
Y'all, Soames connect
