mean, capturing everything, especially forhomecoming. It's a big week with everything
that you know goes on between likethe dance and the parade, the pet
Raley obviously the game and then theshowcase. Like all the hard work that
all the players, coaches, managersand trainers put in, you know during

you know, during the week soI think it's a great idea and obviously
more to come, so yeah,oh yeah, definitely. I mean I
feel like people have compared it toHard Knocks, and I get that,
but it's completely different than really anyother high school level documentary. I mean,
this is taking everything to the nextlevel. I'm super excited about it.

When will the new the first episodecome out? Probably Sunday or Monday
around there. We're trying to getit out and then we'll see how people

thing, I mean, and thenyou got an incredible shot of Kendall's last

asking you, but I was askinga question for everybody, right, yeah,
but hit him him first, goahead. I mean at like,
honestly, I gotta give it tothe like the revenue a great job,
because like in the moment, itlooks like he's out because where he ends
up, he ends up outside theend zone. But if you like slow
it down, he was in.So I mean, I mean the ref

was what less than five feet awayfrom him from where it happened, So
I mean it's a great call byhim. But I think hfc's a little
you know, just a little saltythat they lost. But you know,
it's kind of Garnett. So yeah, yeah, there's a couple of angles
where it could look questionable, butyou can see from like a like a
clear angle from the very side thathe is in, and so like it's

not even a question about if he'sin or not from that angle because you
can see. And again, yeah, the ref was right there, and
I'm sure some of the HSC playerssaw that he was in. So I'm
thinking that they're a little salty aswell. I know that, Like there
was a game that I was closeagain and we were a little bit salty
like last year because we're like,oh, they didn't get in. But

like, I feel like it's justif the team, you know, if
the team isn't winning, and youknow, we think that we should have
in the ref could have made acall that was questionable. It kind of
gets one sided at that point.Yeah, and totally. I mean like
we were doing the play by playfor the game, or I was doing
the play by play of the game, and you can hear my call,
I was like, oh, didhe get in? And then because I

was like I was about eighty yardsaway, Yeah, it's hard to see
that. Yeah, up in thebleachers, by the way, up in
the visiting bleachers. I do wantto thank HSC for hooking us up at
the very last minute. I dowant to thank them for that. But
anyway, I was like, oh, did he get in? And in
the moment I saw the hands goup for the touchdown, I freaked,

dude, I freaked out. Man, Well, I think that's what I
think, that's what everyone was waitingfor. Yeah, because from our sideline
and from where like the parents are, I think it was kind of hard
to tell. So I think onceyou know, once the whistle blue are
the time expired, I guess we'reall looking at that ref like touchdown or
no. And then as soon ashe said it was a touchdown, it's

just I guess the feeling was insane. Yeah, just because in the moment,
it is like no way. Yeah, those like three seconds or you
did not know? They felt likethree hours. Man, Yeah that was
crazy. No anyone else talking aboutKendall's touchdown? Was he in or was
he not? I've got a picturepulled up to I think he was definitely

in. But in terms of likeI know, it's been a hit on
us, like TikTok and stuff kindof between HSC and Westfield going at it.
And if that's the argument, Imean, you were on the call
when HSC. I think it wasthe running back and he thought he was
stop for jail and Alexander stop forwardprogress, so he was technically short there.

We were winning at the time.And yeah, going back to that
angle, Adrian talked about it's weirdlike on the video, like the picture
kind of like shows it perfectly thathe's in, but on video you only

to me, the ref's runner isgreat that game, but obviously out
of our control. So I justwant to shout out to Burt, it's

Literally, Kendall should not have gottenthe wall and anyway, yeah, shut
up, Burt. And I meanI could ask you too that going into
that drive. Sorry you had topick up the mic again, but going
into that drive, It's like,was the initial plan like to go to

Was that just the plan just goinginto that drive in general or was that
kind of a spur of the momentthing. No, we we had to

I knew we want. And youknow, HSC is probably thinking about it
right now that they're probably he wasn'tin, but that's just HSC. But

some people think I bring too muchenergy, but quite frankly, I
think it's okay in some situations.Especially even Coach Gilbert was talking about it
the other day when I was kindof showing him how to get to all

was the one before this though,it was the yeah, that one,
you know what, I'm talking aboutand he was just like, oh man,
that's great. Yeah, this Brownsburgteam, I gotta talk about Brownsborg
coming up because this matchup, it'skind of debate, is this matchup tougher
than HSC Brownsberg number one also undefeated. This is a battle for first place

in the HCC at the moment,and just in your thought, in your
opinions, is this a tougher matchupthan than HSC anyone could go? I
think I think yes to an extent. I mean HSC and Brownsberg are both
really good teams. I mean youcan't take that away from either of them.

They both have a great coaching staff. I mean we do two and
I mean I think this Friday willbe really just I don't think it'll be
closed by any I do think it'llbe close by it, you know,
whether it's one point three points.I don't think it'll be a blowout by
either team. I know it'll bea dog fight. But I do have
West Shield winning obviously, but Ijust know we just got to bring bring

the energy and want to win andwe could do it. So on on
that, I agree, I thinkBrownsberg's going to be just a little bit
more difficult just on the basis ofHSC and Fisher's played and HSC one by
one point in Brownsberg and Fisher's playedand it was like a two twenty eight.
Yeah, well it was. Itwas a pretty big difference. And

I'm not saying that like there couldn'thave been a lot of different factors into
that, but I'm saying like theyhave just come off as an all around
better team than HSC. Well,I mean, the HC Fishers games a
rivalry and like even every time it'sbright Woods gonna be close. So that's
true. Yeah, I totally agreewith that. And also you have to

keep in mind that game was atFishers, you know, so and HSC.
I I gotta tell you that crowdif you're if you are HSC,
that's an easy crowd to play with. But if you're any other team and
you know those personally homes, that'sthat's a hard environment. Yeah, they
have a great fan base, andyeah they're you know, they were tough.

There's some science saying it was amidget that was funny personally, but
you know, he tore them up. Man, Yeah he did still beast,
but yeah, man, I meanI honestly, don't. I think
they're I think both teams are prettyeven. I mean obviously, I mean
HSC. I think I mean obviouslyHSC last year one win away from state,

but that was last year. Thisyear, I mean, it's very
hard to tell. I think bothteams are pretty even. But either way,
I think this one will be alittle bit easier for Westfield just on
the fact that we are at homeand it's homecoming week. I think that
plays a big factor, a bigor factor than what a lot of people
think. Yeah, I think Brownsbergis a little bit better because they just

have more No, they're better athletes, they're more physical. They're quicker too,
I will admit, Yeah, they'redefinitely more physical than they have some
athletes, but they're not Westfield.Yeah, they're not Westfield. They're not
clutch like Burt. I mean,but what you were going off of with
the homecoming week that hasn't really affectedus in past years. I will say,

good will take. I think thatthis Browns work this game right here.
It's actually going to be a lottougher than last week. Because sometimes
when teams get a big win likethey do on the road, they can
use that motivation, but they canalso crumble the moment can kind of defeat
them. So and Brownsburg's a toughteam, so I think for Westfield got
to continue to ride eye on that, but continue to lock in kind of

like they done on HSC. Yeah, Fishers didn't look good at that game,
but overall this year they have been, in my opinion, the top
ten team in the state all year. I think they've proven that time and
time again, and even though theyhave two losses on the year. But
I do want to look at thequarterback situation for Brownsburg. Jake Dunne so
far on the year, sixty sixpercent completion, twelve touchdowns, only two

interceptions homes. I want to startwith you, what have you seen from
Jake Dunne. I guess like justjust from hearing about him in the locker
room just or or watching him thatyou've seen that might be an issue for
Westfield woman. He's an athlete,and he's also got a lot of weapons
around in that are also athletes whenthey can help them not because they run

a lot of motions and like alot of like fade routes. So they
tried to take a lot of shotsand Obviously they have enormous linemen, so
they pull, they pull, andthen that's a good box for the like
O the receiver who jets, andthen that'll create big holes at least touched
on. But actually I do wantto talk about you talked about weapons around

them. How about the running backGarrett Cheryl, That guy's unreal. I
mean, so far on the year, he's already at one thousand rushing yards
and I believe what he had liketwo hundred eighty rushing yards last week,
if I'm not mistaken. That's justunreal. But Westfield, I think overall

they've been pretty good stopping the runall year. I feel like I feel
like Jail now Alexander he just wasn'tJail and Alexander last week, well,
I think he got injured right kindof midway through the game. Yeah,
yeah, it was a shoulder orsomething. Yeah. That also plays a
factor as well. And but alsothey had Azaria Wallace and there running back.
That guy's pretty good too. Wetalked about it last week on the

podcast. That guy. Next yearhe'll be the RB one for HSC and
he'll play a bigger role. Ialso think that's good this year though,
at least going in for the restof the regular season, to have that
type of power in the backup,you know what I mean, Like Alexander's
really good. But then if hegoes down for some reason like we saw
in the West, should HSC gamefor a little bit, your backups almost

just as good, you know whatI mean. So I think that plays
a big part. Also just withtheir team and you know they have good
backups. I mean, so dowe. I mean, for the most
part, I think it plays abig part. And then going back to
Noblesville two weeks two weeks ago,I mean, being other than that one
huge run, they were able tostop one of the better running backs in

Indiana, Logan Shoffler. I meanas far as a career high school career
standpoint goes, because he's been puttingup one thousand yard rushing seasons since he
was a sophomore. Forty carries again, yeah, that also plays a factor.
Four d carries in a game,But the look at the yards per
carry on that kid he's been I'mtrying to think it. I think it

was some It was somewhere above five, and that plays a big factor.
We got some music playing back there, overall that just going back Westfield,
I think they're good stopping the runBrownsburg, I like you, Like you
said, up front, they've gotsome big kids man, and Garrett Cheryl
that that guy eight yards per carry, which is unreal. But I guess,

Drew, how do you think howcan Westfield continue to stop the run
game? Yeah? Well, theygotta definitely gotta stack the box. But
also I kind of I found astatistic I wanted to share that kind of
blew my mind. Garrett Cheryl's averagingor two hundred nine point eight yards per
game as a running matches. Yeah, and as he said, the lineman

up front are big, So Ithink that's gonna be It's gonna be probably
one of the biggest tests of thatall season. I got to continue to
stop the box. But they alsohave to be able to anticipate when people
like Corey Smith are gonna go andfly round. They're gonna look for him
deep, so they're gonna have tobe on their heels a little bit.
And but Will I got to askyou a question. I guess I feel

like I already know the answer.But is there a lot of pressure on
this team to win this game?Uh? No, not really, because
I mean it's a pretty even matchgame. I mean, obviously they're ant
tied in us. That has mightchange your mentality. We always think that
we can win. Gilbert is agreat job if not playing that much pressure
on us and just like blathing inus and still pushing us. Do you

think that the past years of likelosing on homecoming to them is gonna like
affect or like just losing on homecominglike in general, is gonna affect this
game? No? Not, becauseI mean our name isn't it's literally just
one yeah, yeah, holding upto one. Yeah, So I mean
I retality to be number one,we have to beat them to be number
one. Yeah. I mean thisyear has been the year of ending streaks.

The week one streak done first timein the max Preps era, we
started five and oh, I meanthis is the year that streaks are dead.
I don't think the past should bethought of. I think it should
be maybe in the back of yourhead, but at the same time,
do not let it overcome you.And I totally agree with that whole mindset.
And but the last thing I wantto talk about though, before we

get into score predictions, Carson Melvinmaking his varsity Westfield debut obviously playing field,
had a year as the starter thereand his final stat line two for
three. So what, I guessyou know a lot about Carson Melvin and
Jaxon Gilbert. You've caught balls fromboth of them, and clearly and clearly

Melvin and clearly Melvin, I mean, he's just he proved that he's a
very athletic quarterback. He can makethrows. I mean, what was your
biggest takeaway from his performance? Andvery short sample size. Obviously he wasn't
warm. So that last throw toGabe on a third down, I mean

it was short. But other thanthat, I mean it made some pretty
good reads in a high pressure situation, it gets a really good team.
So that draft really mattered and hemade it get through the NAZAR and I
will jump pass there and then ohit was at a cross parker. Yeah,
yeah, yeah, I was good. They're a little high, but
I mean it wasn't that warm.Yeah, Carson's good, Like Carson is
really good. But I mean Idon't I don't know if we're gonna try

the two started a thing until probablyAlon. I mean it's it's it's not
a terrible situation to be in whenyou have two elite quarterbacks. I mean,
think about it reminds me We've talkedabout two thousand and eight Florida,
the comparisons between that team and thisteam. I mean, think about Leak,
Chris Leak. Oh my goodness,man, that was the year before

oh seven when he was when theNatty won Natty. But like you think
about Jackson Gilbert and like Tim Tebow, those guys have been compare the lot.
But then also you know who wasbehind Tim Tebow that year, Cam
Newton. So yeah, just thinkabout that. I mean, I think
this just it's a great it's it'sa great situation to be in when you

have two elite quarterbacks. And likeyou said, I could they actually be
doing that? Like starting with Avonthis week? It might be too big
of a game, but Avon,is that the point where we start seeing
both of them? I think so, because I mean Brown's barring Fishers is
a really important games. So thatwouldn't believe in Carson. It's just like
kind of like a risky myth.Also, like it Birch's not doing well,

you don't really want to pull himbecause I'm just kind of like ruin
his confidence, even though Birt's aconfident guy, all very confident. Yeah,

at you on and off the court. They're both great. And also going
back to girls golf, I wouldn'tgive props to Addie Coy wish Tea be
naming her their athlete of the week. Absolutely, I mean that's that's incredible,

back to him, he was interviewedby wish TV after the game on Friday,
and then he was interviewed by meon Monday. Quite frankly though,

duo that is going to push,that's going to push Westfield further and further
