Speaker 1 (00:00):
The following episode does not constitute medical advice, and it's
for informational and entertainment purposes only. It's like GPS for
your life. The sky Vibe Show authentic practical astrology in
easy to understand terms with your host Judy Diamond and
professional astrologer Thomas Miller. I gotta say this, Thomas, if
you ever questioned astrology or ever wanted to really witness
(00:23):
the miracle of the perfect alignment of our planets and
how incredible it is. I think January is going to
be a great month for.
Speaker 2 (00:32):
It, you know, and the world is recognizing it, aren't they.
Speaker 1 (00:36):
It's crazy how many people are really interested in wanting
to learn about astrology and have learned a lot.
Speaker 2 (00:43):
Yes, I heard. I had somebody staying with me over
the holiday here in twenty twenty four and twenty five
who is thirty two and is kind of part of
the scene, if you will, in downtown Portland, and all
of her friends are into astrology. We've talked about your
friend whose son down in San Diego says mom, I
need to know my birth time. Well, what Lizzie is
(01:06):
saying is that all of her friends now are trying
to outdo each other with how much they know about astrology.
Speaker 1 (01:13):
So it's a good thing that if you're listening to
the sky Vibe show, you're gonna end up knowing a lot.
Speaker 2 (01:18):
I'm telling you it's coming and what I just mentioned
obviously are both West Coast towns, but it's coming to
Saint Louis, and it's coming to the Midwest, and it's
coming to a klou near you.
Speaker 1 (01:29):
Absolutely. I mean it's crazy because I was having a
lunch meeting with somebody yesterday or last week, i should say,
and in it I said, you know, I brought up
as if everybody knows astrology, something about January. She goes, ooh,
can you tell me all my stuff?
Speaker 2 (01:47):
Do a reading right there? Yeah.
Speaker 1 (01:49):
She didn't look at me like I was nuts or
like I was a California granola originally.
Speaker 2 (01:53):
Oh, that's where it's coming from. Well, and what people
may not know about radio is radio is a very
sophisticated business with large corporate ownership, and with that you
get a lot of resources. And I understand that you
even had it show up in some of your what
they call show prep for recently, for the things that
you guys subscribe to. What was in there and it
(02:14):
was crazy.
Speaker 1 (02:14):
They were talking about all the celestial events for twenty
twenty five, including this month January, and they talked about
the January thirteenth, the moon will be in front of Mars,
then the seventeenth and eighteenth Venus Saturn. Basically, there's a
lot going on Neptune Urinus, all the planets that I
(02:35):
know that are in a line perfectly, and is you know,
how whatever you believe in, I believe it's God godly
made that. How are these lining up? You're going to
be visible, You're gonna be able to see these?
Speaker 2 (02:47):
Yeah, And you know it's permeating even mainstream media. I
mean one website that I get an email from every day.
You can subscribe to it. It's great EarthSky dot org,
and they're covering it. If you think about we've talked
about that ecliptic line, and we've mentioned it from the
standpoint of just the miracle of what is up there
over our heads anyway, whether you believe it has any
(03:10):
tide to Earth or not. You and I believe as
above so below that there's this mirror of reflection back
and forth. I think it's a two way mirror, absolutely,
But the sky. Actually, the position of those planets up
there kind of oversees some of the things that go
on down here, and that gets a little scary when
you think about fate versus free will. But part of
(03:32):
that miracle of creation is and I mean this is,
you know, as it said back in the Star Wars intro,
in a galaxy far away, a long long time ago,
all of those planets were created and they happened to
fall into a big circle around our sun. Now, for me,
(03:52):
it takes me more faith to believe that that was
random than that that was divine.
Speaker 1 (03:58):
I totally agree with you, and I almost feel they were.
It was created almost as a protection, if that, if
that makes sense, like.
Speaker 2 (04:08):
A canopy, a canopy, an energetic canopy.
Speaker 1 (04:12):
Yes, and yes, there are some things that can be very,
very scary, but that's also they're there to guide us.
Speaker 2 (04:20):
It's God through that. It's good. And Bible says, learn
to read the stars, it says at the very beginning.
You know, it's like the stars were put there for
signs for us to follow exactly. And if you if
you subscribe to that, and I'm just acknowledging that there
are different belief systems but if you subscribe to the
Gospel's Manger scene about Jesus, it was permeated by three
(04:45):
astrologers who said, we saw it in the sky and
we came Well, that's pretty sophisticated for two thousand years ago.
Speaker 1 (04:53):
That's how old astrology is now.
Speaker 2 (04:55):
It's older than that. But these guys had taken good
notes and they had good charts, and I think they
were inspired. And that's the other thing that I feel
is that when I study astrology, it literally can lead
you into a spiritual intuition and guidance that is just
not of the it's not out of the book, it's
from your heart.
Speaker 1 (05:13):
A men hashtag truth. And again, you're going to learn
a lot of this. If you subscribe to the sky
Vibe show, you'll get all the links that Thomas talks about,
including his own websites and podcasts. And I do want
to mention again if you ever question or you want
to witness this miracle, not only are we going to
be able to see these planets in January, but you
(05:35):
were mentioning earlier to me off of recording and not
recording that Urinus is going to even be visible.
Speaker 2 (05:42):
Yeah. Yeah, So if you think about that they're in
a circle, then they're in a line anyway, it's just
how much of that circle can you see at any
given time. And we're in the northern hemisphere, the darkest
time of the year, so more of that circle is
widened up, and the planets are tight enough together after
sunset and before sunrise you get a glimpse at these
(06:04):
So the ones that are within that window. Let's just
say you mentioned the moon that's always there Mars Jupiter.
I said, the Moon's always there. It's not when it
goes new. But you know what I mean. You know
what I mean. It's still there, right, Mars Jupiter and Venus.
(06:24):
Now Venus and Saturn. You can see Saturn very easily too.
And I have an app that I use where you
can point your phone up there and it will tell you.
And the one that I use when I just pull
it out and need to point up at the sky
and get a quick answer, what is that is STARMP
three D plus.
Speaker 1 (06:42):
Is it free?
Speaker 2 (06:43):
Yeah? I think so. I don't think I pay for it.
If I do it, it's not you know, it doesn't
ding me too much, right. And then there another one
that I do know is free is called stylarium, and
I'll spell that it's ste l l A r i um.
And it is more like an observatory perspective, so it
(07:04):
gives you more, yeah, an astronomical app. But you can
still use it to see what's close to the horizon,
what's up above. You can zoom around and look at
all the constellations. It's really cool. And then the other
thing that you can do is simply cast an astrology chart.
If you have a program on your phone that so
many people and there's so many apps now that have charts,
just cast the right now chart at sunrise at sunset,
(07:27):
let's say, and you go from the nine o'clock position
on the wheel that's sunrise over to the three o'clock
position that sunset, and you can see what's right there
above the horizon. At sunset, I'll show you what's in
the sky. And then if you go forward it past
sunset a couple of hours and you look up, that's
(07:48):
what's up over your head. Wow.
Speaker 1 (07:50):
I do have a question though, kind to use a
metaphor here. You know, during the pandemic, when we were
all stuck in homes with our families, the we're all
together and tight is how the planets they're going to
feel like, how do they feel about each other?
Speaker 2 (08:03):
Well, they're snuggling more so for these ones that are
more visible. But it's not like what we had back
in the spring, when I mean they were within sixty
five seventy five degrees of each other, really tight. It's
not like that. But they are spread out enough that
you can see them across the sky. So right at sunset,
(08:24):
first thing you want to do is look to the
west and you'll see Venus and Saturn on the horizon
in January. Okay, Venus obviously the evening star, it's big
and bright. Saturn is really faint, and you'll have to
look for it. It's going to probably, depending on where
you are, be to the left of Venus a little bit,
maybe up just slightly. It's moving closer to the horizon.
(08:44):
Right now, Neptune is back in there, but you can't
see it because it's obviously the next one farthest from
Pluto out there. But you mentioned there is one that
is going to be higher in the sky, so you
want it to get darker and light pollution will really
not work in your favor on this. But Urinus right
(09:06):
now seasonally can be seen with the naked eye. That's cool.
It's best if you go out with binoculars and find
it and it looks blue. You can tell there's a
blue hue to this planet up there, and use your
starmap three D plus is what I would do, and
point it up there so you know what section of
(09:27):
the sky you're looking for. Look up there with binoculars
and if you see that blue hue planet, then pull
those binoculars down and see if your eyes can lock
onto it and see that hue. I did in North
Carolina and it was a highlight. I will never forget
that moment.
Speaker 1 (09:44):
Oh, that'd be neat. And again, like we were crowded
in our houses. Does this affect us those planets? How
do they like to agree with each other or not
this time?
Speaker 2 (09:55):
Well, you know this is where you're getting into the
nature of astrological interpretation with that question. And that's really good.
So it's like, okay, when you have them in a
line like that, well, how does that affect what's in
the astrological chart? And let's keep in mind astrology is
really comprised of a couple of things. What do the
(10:15):
planets mean? What are the interpretations of the sign that
they're in the constellation Aries, Taurus, etc. And then what
house in the chart. So that's the pieces of pie.
When you look at an astrology chart, it's cut into sections.
Those are the locations of our life where these things
take place. If it's the second house, that's money, if
(10:37):
it's the seventh house, that's relationships. So that's how that's
the starting place. That's where you first start to analyze
the chart. Then you look at what angles are the
planets with each other? That's geometry, And really the ones
that I follow are the simplest. A square that's ninety
(10:57):
degrees an opposition, it's across from each other, sitting across
the table, and then sixty degrees and one hundred and
twenty degrees are the favorable aspects. So you just look
and the computer just generates all of that stuff boom
in a second, right, you don't have to think, and
it colors at different colors, so you can look at
the positive and the challenging. What I've been seeing in
(11:19):
the chart at least leading up into January, and then
it gets a little bit tilted more toward the positive side.
But what I've been seeing is basically balanced, or say
split energy between challenging and favorable. But the other thing
that I'm seeing is every planet is basically connected to
(11:41):
some other planet. The way that it is lining up
right now, everything is connected, and that is hyper energy.
And the other thing is they're all the same planets,
So you'll have two planets in a favorable and a
challenging aspect connected to all the other planets. It's wild.
It's like your toddler drops spaghetti on the floor and
(12:04):
it all just kind of magically sorted itself out, like
it's hitting the same points on the tiles. You know.
Speaker 1 (12:08):
It's like and yeah, you still got to clean it up.
Speaker 2 (12:10):
Oh yeah, oh yeah, and we have. I mean, well,
you see how January of twenty twenty five came in
the challenging side emerged. The tensions are high, sure, and
we've talked about this, but a lot of that is
because I think the opposition between the farthest out Pluto
and one of the closest in Mars, which is in retrograde.
(12:32):
So it's moving back. And you notice we haven't mentioned Mercury.
Speaker 1 (12:36):
No want go away.
Speaker 2 (12:38):
It's out of retrograde and it's behaving itself right now,
So it's just sleeping dogs lie. But Mars is going
backwards and it's been a troublemaker since the very beginning
because the day it went retrograde was when they shot
that CEO of United Healthcare in Manhattan. I mean, this
is you can't make this stuff up, folks. And that
I think is the most tense aspect in the sky,
(13:00):
and offsetting that, we have the most favorable aspect, which
is called a mystic rectangle. Just think of a rectangle
in the chart and we have a kite. So think
of a Mary Poppins kind of kite, you know, well,
not a box kite, a Mary Poppins kite, the triangle
diamond shaped kite.
Speaker 1 (13:14):
Yeah, for the Beaches movies, yes exactly.
Speaker 2 (13:17):
So that's you know, we have them offsetting each other,
and both of the points of all of that are
all tied to each other. So it's like crazy time
right now. But yes, because it's dark, go find yourself
a pasture. We get far away from the lights as
you can. I'm thinking, I've got Joshua Tree down here
by me. I should go down there because that's a
(13:38):
really good place to look at the sky. But it's
going to be great for the month.
Speaker 1 (13:42):
Yeah, And I just want to put it in real
terms as far as let's say, your life and relationships
and what Thomas is talking about to help you kind
of metaphorically understand and how it affects us during this
time as we're leading into this, my son Leo, I've
talked about my dad, we're visiting. So here's the back
and forth between the two. All three of us got
(14:03):
very very sick. The bad right, sorry, we were all
stuck inside together. The good we got closer than we've
ever been. Yes, we were sick, but we really connected
for those ten days as leading into as they left.
So I wanted to bring that into a real perspective
in your life and how you can have two complete
(14:24):
opposites in the same month, day, year.
Speaker 2 (14:27):
Oh, that is so precious. I'm sorry for the illness,
and I'm thrilled for your family togetherness in your knittedness
together and your dad is up in age, so you know,
these are all precious times. Oh, that's beautiful. That is
It's really beautiful.
Speaker 1 (14:42):
Really, the way that I use astrology, when I'm aware
of what you know, it's hard. You got to really
follow and I think Fun Astrology is my favorite podcast.
You do, of course, you better subscribe skybi Butt, but
for nostrology Thomas, that's when I first started learning a
lot about astrology.
Speaker 2 (15:00):
Well, what we do on that podcast is short daily
episodes and they're like five to seven minutes, and we
try to just point out what the day looks like
from an energetic perspective, and that comes and goes fast.
That's not something you lock onto like you do with
your natal birth chart or the big themes of your
life that are going to unfold over your lifetime. That's
(15:20):
the study that you really want to do. But then
the planet's up in the sky come along and trigger
things along the way, and that's what we try to do,
is like where might the most triggers be. So we're
looking at January and we're saying, well, you know, we
might tilt a little bit more to the positive side eventually,
but there's an offsetting challenge and that's kind of the
(15:41):
overriding energy going into the at least the first part
of the month.
Speaker 1 (15:44):
And if you want to learn more on how to
use it, more about your natal chart, just do what
I did a couple years ago. Now, Fun astrology dot
com and I know that I still have a It's
wonderful because Thomas has pretty beginners lesson kind of a
thing that it's a one time, very short, small amount
fee and it's yours, and you could keep going back
(16:06):
and seeing these videos on how to learn. That's just
one of many things.
Speaker 2 (16:09):
That's it we wanted to. You have to learn to
speak the language, and you have to learn the symbolism,
and we walk right into it from as though you
know nothing, and we start from there.
Speaker 1 (16:18):
Thomas, thank you so much as usual for being a
part of Billy and Judy and of course for the.
Speaker 2 (16:25):
