Speaker 1 (00:00):
The following episode does not constitute medical advice, and it's
for informational and entertainment purposes only. It's like GPS for
your life. The sky Vibe Show authentic practical astrology in
easy to understand terms with your host Judy Diamond and
professionalist dologer Thomas Miller. We have to continue with the
musicians or music series on the sky Vibe Show. And
(00:22):
I want to bring up somebody because I just watched
a really great documentary on her, and I don't know
if you know anything about her, but it's Alanis Moris set.
Speaker 2 (00:31):
I have no clue, and you got to realize I
kind of checked out with pop culture probably back in
the I don't know, a long long time ago. It's
not been part of my career in other things that
I've done. So you are the driver of that, Judy,
I just follow, but I can read a chart and
we have a good birth time on her, so we
(00:53):
can dig in.
Speaker 1 (00:54):
I say, we dig in to the the one who
created the amazing, iconic Jagged Little Pill album, Alanis Morris
set so many great songs, such an incredible artist and
really just paved the way for women even more than
Carol King it's like she's going forward more.
Speaker 2 (01:14):
Well, you know, it's funny because she was born Just
for our information, she was born June first, nineteen seventy four,
and we have a good time on it. She was
born at nine fifty one am in Ottawa, Canada. So
there you go. She is a Gemini. That's her son's
sign and based on that time, her rising sign is Leo.
(01:38):
So there you go, right to any surprise.
Speaker 1 (01:41):
There not at all, performances Leo.
Speaker 2 (01:44):
And then what would you guess from what you know
about her that her moon might be.
Speaker 1 (01:50):
Well, she definitely is very deep spitched spiritually. She can
be very dark. She's very investigative, and I would say
she's about the truth.
Speaker 2 (02:00):
So Scorpio. You just painted a Scorpio picture with your words.
Speaker 1 (02:06):
It's so her though, it makes sense.
Speaker 2 (02:09):
Well, that's exactly what her moon sign is is Scorpio.
So that's kind of the construct that we have of
at least the Big three that everybody likes to talk
about today. Here's the thing that I'm noticing about her chart.
And we did an episode on Prince and we looked
at his chart very much wired for success. Another one
that you and I looked at was Beyonce's chart, and
(02:31):
my goodness, she has five planets in the sign of Libra,
including Venus and Jupiter, which are the two benefic planets,
and it's in the second house of money. So it's
like here again, just like we said with Prince, all
Beyonce has to do is show up and she's going
(02:53):
to be blessed abundantly and she is. I think she
and Jay Z are close to billionaire status now and
you know they'll join the ranks of Paul McCartney and
Jimmy Buffett and others at the billion dollar club in music.
Speaker 1 (03:06):
But yes, they are, both of them. She is so
successful in every album she drops.
Speaker 2 (03:11):
Well, Alanis Morrissett's chart is completely different because what I
see right off the bat in her chart is something
that we call conflicted mutable signs, and that's an astrological
kind of in the weeds thing. But basically, the mutable
signs are Gemini, Sagittarius, and Pisces. When we have conflicts
(03:36):
in those areas in a chart, it's going to show
up as darkness to be worked through in the life,
you know, an astrology. When we talk about the planet Jupiter,
what does Jupiter mean or indicate in your thought. When
you hear Jupiter.
Speaker 1 (03:53):
Word, Manson makes everything expand yeah, it makes it bigger.
Speaker 2 (03:57):
Well, she has this conflict and mutable with Jupiter aspecting
her son and the planet Neptune. Now, the Sun is
her identity, that's her radiance, that's her what her life
is about is her Gemini son. Neptune is her whole
spiritual construct and Neptune for her, is in the sign
(04:20):
of Sagittarius, which is a very spiritual sign. Yes, and
didn't you say that some of her work is all
about perceptions and intuitions and things that Neptune represents the ethereal.
Speaker 1 (04:33):
It's absolutely and in fact, she has this documentary that
I watched and it's so crazy because she talks about
all of her or deals with mental health until she
finally came down to the darkness coming from being a
total EmPATH.
Speaker 2 (04:48):
Oh wow, yeah really, yes, Well see, that is exactly
what she's working through in her music. Is this conflict
in her chart between the very essence of who she
is reflected by that Gemini divided like two sides of
(05:09):
her persona, two sides of her brain, two sides of
her psyche, and then Sagittarius is also a divided sign,
and so is Pisces. Those are the three signs in
astrology that represent, let's just say broadly, duality or division
or separation or this side and that side. So yes,
(05:33):
she came in. In fact, the first thing I said
to you when I called up her chart was what
I said, she has a lot of darkness in her life.
Speaker 1 (05:41):
Yes, yes, you don't have. And by the way, Thomas
knows nothing about Atlantis, and you aren't just really heard
talking about her music. Her that album Jagged Little Pill,
reached so many people, especially women, to empower us and
fight and find and live in our darkness and find
the light too.
Speaker 2 (06:02):
And that's what I love about her story related to
what we're talking about here, because unlike the other two examples,
Prince and Beyonce, all they had to do was show
up and they're going to be successful, this one had
to work through stuff. And it's through that depth and
that emotion that she created her music. And in fact,
(06:24):
was we were looking this up. I went to Wikipedia
and just one line my eyes fell on her description
of her biography. It said after searching her soul in therapy,
she came out with pill, going from teen disco queen
to headbanging, teening and ranting on the dark side. And boy,
(06:47):
is that ever the construct of her chart. And there's
a lot more in there as well. In fact, the
planet Mars, which is in her natal chart the sign
of cancer. And here recently, in twenty twenty we've been
twenty twenty four and twenty five, Mars has been in
cancer and some really dark things have happened during that,
(07:09):
and here it is in her chart, and it too
is in conflict with other areas of her life, including
that scorpio moon, which is also a dark signature in
the chart. So her brilliance is not just show up,
turn the lights on and you're gonna make millions and
millions of dollars. Her brilliance is she was born to
(07:32):
go through difficult stuff, and through that difficult stuff would
come this brilliance of this deep emotional conflict that she
has to work out first, then she sings about it.
And what do most of us have in our charts
this kind of thing, not the Beyonce or the Prince.
(07:54):
That's why we connect with her, because we also came
to deal with stuff. I'll tell you this and then
I want to ask you a question about your own
astrology journey. If I saw ten charts, let's say, if
I did readings with ten charts, I'm going to say
at least a good seven of them come structured a
lot like this. So that means and that's no scientific study,
(08:18):
but it's just an observation that says, I think maybe
at least two thirds of us out there came to
do tough work in our lives, not to skid on
a gold roller skate through life. So that's why she
is so popular in the areas that she is because
she went through the challenges are born from the very
(08:40):
structure of her astrological composition.
Speaker 1 (08:43):
It's how we relate to her because she's been there
and we're not alone when we listen.
Speaker 2 (08:48):
To her words. Now, one thing I wanted to ask you,
and then we'll talk about how to help parents see
some things in their own kids charts. But the thing
that I wanted to ask you is, you know, one
of the things about astrology is you have to learn
the language. You kind of have to learn what this
is about. You went from zero not knowing anything, just
like everybody on the planet who has ever looked at
(09:10):
an astrology chart or read an astrology be forecast in
the newspaper back in the day. How did you learn
at least to get to where you are in astrology?
Speaker 1 (09:21):
Wow, that's a really good question. I did a lot
of reading and research, but it was, to be honest,
it was listening to your shows that Docky are you
saying yeah, yes? And it started with Old Soul New
Soul with you and Robert Glascock. I'm you at the
time you were not doing readings, and I got a
(09:41):
reading from Robert. I didn't understand ninety nine point nine
percent of it, but he nailed it even though I
still didn't understand it. And then I listened started listening
to your Fun Astrology podcast as well, which is the
very short five minute daily. Again I don't understand ninety
percent of it, but it would make me go and
look up things so little by little. Yes, it is
(10:04):
a language. If you're learning a new language, it doesn't
happen overnight, but listening, asking questions and testing it out.
I've been We did an episode about the looks of
somebody who is, for example, an aries and you know what, Thomas,
this is fascinating everybody that I've tested this on the
no's and aries. I would ask them the question, hey,
(10:27):
does this person have a scar anywhere from the neck up?
And all of them all of.
Speaker 2 (10:31):
Them have Wow.
Speaker 1 (10:34):
Yeah, So kind of testing, but yeah, doing a lot
of research, but really listening and looking up things as
I listen is how I got more and more. Again,
I am still such a newbie, but it takes time.
Speaker 2 (10:47):
Well, I think we're all newbies if we really admitted it,
because there's so much to learn in life in general,
isn't there. We never guess it all mastered, you know.
One of the things that we wanted to do here
was just give parents idea if they thought that their
child had a propensity towards something, what might they look
for in the chart to see, Like here with Alanis Morissett,
(11:11):
you might not sit down and say your child could
be a brilliant, generational shifting musician on the music scene
in the nineteen nineties. Now it's in there. Yes, she
has some really good placements for success in music, like
that Jupiter and Pisces that we just mentioned, because Pisces
is also all about the arts, and she could actually
(11:33):
make some money with it. Because Venus the money planet
is in Taurus, the money sign, and it's also in
a really good area of her chart. It's right next
to her career, So yeah, I mean we could get there.
But what you really see in this chart is the
pain and that dark journey that she's going to have
to go through. Question is could you extrude that into
(11:57):
a brilliant musical career.
Speaker 1 (11:59):
This is why it's really important that a parent does
know their child's chart, because if I had been if
I was the parent of a child that had this
chart and they started to go through these rough times,
I would be so supportive and give them whatever they
needed to be able to help get through it, knowing
this is part of their path.
Speaker 2 (12:19):
And most parents would try to run from a chart
like this exactly. They would try to mask it, or
they would try to therapize it, or they would try
to normalize it. But this child had to go down
into the dark tunnel in order to discover their true brilliance.
And that's hard for a lot of parents to let
(12:39):
their kids do that. I know how difficult that would be.
You want to anesthetize it. Now, if you have a child,
for example, like Prince or Beyonce, that you have a
strong libra presence in their chart that indicates the arts.
So here again, if you are a CPA and you
(13:01):
have a child that has a lot of pisces or
cancer or libra characteristics, that's an artist, folks. That's not
necessarily a left brained accountant like the Gemini would be,
or a good practical Capricorn or something like that, or
even a virgo, yeah, a virgo. But at least from
(13:22):
that you could know that your child is going to
have some kind of interest in the arts, whether they
make a career of it or not. But then if
you saw, wow, this young lady can really sing, then
you could start to help move that forward. Honeywood, you
like to take this a little further than the church
choir or the school choir, or to.
Speaker 1 (13:44):
Make sure that you offer, even as a toddler, things
that they can bang on a pot and pan for
musical or ways to bring music about as you read
a story to them. Whatever's going to help feed that
part of their chart. And we were talking about in
another episode this generation of babies that are born now,
(14:05):
Jen Alphagen, let them go, let them grow. But if
you know their chart, you can also steer in a
way and not be so controlling.
Speaker 2 (14:15):
That's for absolute sure. And I love the verse in
the Bible. We mentioned it in the previous episode. Train
up the child in the way they should go and
when they are old. And I also like, and this
is probably a song you play. Maybe maybe it's a
little before. I don't know, klo used time, but thirty
eight special hold on Loosely?
Speaker 1 (14:36):
Oh we play that?
Speaker 2 (14:37):
Oh good? Yeah, because there's some great psychology in that song.
Hold on loosely, but don't let go that go. If
you cling to tightly, you're going to lose her. Right,
You're going to lose what you're trying to control and grip.
With your kids, you can help guide, But like this one,
(14:58):
wise parents would have realized whatever Alanis Morissett did with
her life, whatever it was, she was going to have
to go through the dark knight of her own soul
to find out and.
Speaker 1 (15:11):
To be there and to be there for her when
she does, not to push anything, but to be the
backbone in case she needs you.
Speaker 2 (15:20):
But I'm serious, if you have a child, or if
this is your been your path, realize, In my opinion,
it's the vast majority of us, not the minority that
have chosen to come down here to Earth to go
through this kind of a path so that our soul
could grow. And in my opinion, the soul growth is
(15:42):
far more valuable than the stage and the cheering crowd
and the money flowing and all of that, or becoming
a big business CEO for a major corporation or this
kind of thing. I think the cheering for that is
all down here, I think, and those of us who
have been through the toughness of life get to the
(16:04):
other side, there is going to be a chorus of
angels that is going to welcome us home, singing the
praises of the tough job that we've had down here
on Earth and the scars that we have to show
for it. And then some people like Alanis Morissett actually
are able to flip that into a career where they,
through their pain, can help others.
Speaker 1 (16:26):
And by the way, the angels, as I believe, and
all of the guidance that we have, they know how
hard it is down here, and they appreciate what we're doing.
