Speaker 1 (00:00):
The following episode does not constitute medical advice, and it's
for informational and entertainment purposes only. It's like GPS for
your life. The sky Vibe Show authentic practical astrology in
easy to understand terms with your host Pudi Diamond and
professional astrologer Thomas Miller. All Right, I'm gonna take some
of what I do on my morning show into this
(00:20):
podcast of astrology Thomas Miller, because I spill the tea
a lot, and I've noticed on TikTok such a gen X,
gen Z boomer fights and all this other stuff, and
it made me do a lot of thinking about astrology
and generations and what I find fascinating, for example, not
just music, which the music that I loved suddenly is
(00:44):
being refound, you know, like Prince, who's so amazing that
we've done a study on. And movies. My son and
I watched The Breakfast Club together, nineteen eighty five film.
He loved it and said it was still relevant if
only they changed it. All the cast member were all white,
you know, if it was more diverse, it would still
be relevant. So I wondered, does astrology cover generations?
Speaker 2 (01:08):
Oh my goodness, yes, it absolutely does, and we're in
the middle of that right now, because Pluto is the
planet that we look to for these generational shifts, and
Pluto has just changed signs. It's now in the sign
of Aquarius. So we'll have a whole generation now for
the next twenty years of kids that are born with
(01:30):
a mantra stamped right there on their forehead that says, don't.
Speaker 1 (01:33):
Tell me what to do, and it's so needed.
Speaker 2 (01:38):
And their gen Z parents aren't going to know what
to do with them.
Speaker 1 (01:42):
Do you know what's funny is I look at some
of the films from the eighties, okay, and think about
where they're at, And this is why I brought it up.
So Purple Rain, Big One, that was a groundbreaking musical
movie by Prince And then you have a movie like
To Do the Right Thing by Spike Lee, which was
very very about racial division and cops going doing bad things.
(02:06):
Then you have a movie like Aliens, Dead Poets, Society,
Back to the Future in Risky Business. Okay, these movies
are all of a sudden huge again with this gen
Z er, which I think is interesting interesting, So yeah,
and I just see things that are cyclical. So I
used to always say you know, gen X, gen Z
(02:28):
don't define me my generation. But there is something to
be said about generations in a hole.
Speaker 2 (02:35):
Yes, from Pluto's perspective, we have to take a look
at the sign that it is in during these generations,
and sometimes it overlaps. So what we're picking up with
here and be kind of beginning this discussion is a
time frame when Pluto was in the sign of Libra,
and that goes all the way back to the early
(02:55):
nineteen seventies when it entered Libra. And you and I
have been talking about this. The music scene back in
the early seventies was all about what stop this damn war? Yes, right, yes,
there was much so that was the imprint of the culture.
Hey mister President, and all of the top bands from
(03:16):
Leonard Skinner to the Who to everybody was singing protest songs.
Speaker 1 (03:22):
But it goes through how to what year? Because got
to also remember Libra is about beauty and glam rock
started in the eighties.
Speaker 2 (03:29):
As Pluto moved through Libra and then in the mid
well early nineteen eighties, Let's see when did it move
into Scorpio Around nineteen eighty three.
Speaker 1 (03:41):
Oh well doubt that.
Speaker 2 (03:42):
Eighty four. Then it moved in to Scorpio.
Speaker 1 (03:45):
So Scorpio think about this now eighties as an eighties
generation person, gen X Scorpio makes perfect sense because we
didn't trust anybody. We were pretty much on our own.
We were a little sleuthy, and you mess with us,
you So it was that. It's so true. Any gen
xers who's listening or watching this that you I've seen
(04:06):
you on tiktoks, you'd say, yep, that's it. Where that
makes sense?
Speaker 2 (04:10):
Well, what is some of the TikTok chatter? I'm curious
what you're picking up on.
Speaker 1 (04:14):
Well, there's a lot of from mostly gen Zer, but
also some of the millennials who are asking, hey, how
come you're been quiet? Nobody's been bringing gen X up.
But they're like, hey, we've been good, this way we've
been you know, we're fine. And then all of a sudden,
the gen x's and their big mouths decide to say
and I'm these are these are my people, And I'm like,
come on, guys, let's stay in the shadow. No, No,
(04:36):
they have to complain about what made it so hard
of a generation. Get over it. Come on, people, just relax,
you know.
Speaker 2 (04:46):
Well, gen X were broadly talking about like nineteen sixty
five to nineteen eighty. So it was that transition period
that was a really difficult time, you know. You think
about the late sixties was the assassination of RFK Martin
Luther King Kent State, and you had Watergate, you had
a president resigned, then you had hyperinflation. You had all
(05:07):
of that taking place, and then boom, Pluto left Libra.
And as it was leaving, we elected President Ronald Reagan,
who said, hey, America can be a city on a
hill shining on the hill again. And that is a
perfect transition to leave Libra from all that turmoil.
Speaker 1 (05:27):
Well, and think about this is the chart I'm looking
at gen X, So it says boomers forty six to
sixty four gen X born sixty five to nineteen eighty.
Think about the year of Nixon and what happened with
the trust of a generation?
Speaker 2 (05:42):
Sure, Oh yeah, I mean we had never obviously ever
seen a president of the United States get busted and resigned.
Speaker 1 (05:50):
Mm hm. So all of a sudden, there goes a trust.
Then the millennials come along and when we hit that
a little bit later. So in gen X from sixty
four to eighty, let's say, okay, so there you've got
Pluto goos from Libra to all of a sudden, it's
scooting its way to Scorpio.
Speaker 2 (06:08):
Now you're talking millennials. Most millennials have Pluto in Scorpio,
and look at what they did. Scorpio is ruled by
Pluto in the modern ruler of astrology. Pluto discovered in
nineteen thirty. We just celebrated its ninety fifth year of discovery.
And it's all about transformation and change. So this millennial
(06:31):
generation came in and they said, I was a latch
key kid. I'm not going to raise my kids that way.
Speaker 1 (06:37):
They demanded and that was nice flexibility.
Speaker 2 (06:40):
Yeah, yeah, they demanded work flexibility, and they truly did
transform the way. They didn't do it the way their
parents did. They don't want to have anything to do
with the way their parents did, so they're beating to
their own drama. And that's so Scorpio Pluto.
Speaker 1 (06:58):
And what's interesting is think about at the end of
the gen y, which would be nineteen ninety six. So
I've a daughter born in ninety six and COVID almost
forced the reworking situation. If you think about that end
of that, you know, of what happened the last few years.
And then gen Z comes along seven ninety ninety seven
to twenty ten, and my son was born ninety eight
(07:19):
those two and it's not just because they're male female.
Their whole friends that I see are have completely different
ways of looking at the world, which is fascinating to
me and why I wanted to ask it.
Speaker 2 (07:30):
What you're experiencing there is Pluto moving from Scorpio toward
and into Sagittarius when your son was born. The characteristic
there is obviously now they want to fix the world,
they want to heal the world, they want to psychoanalyze
the world.
Speaker 1 (07:48):
Yes, oh my god, yes, yes, yes, yes, that is
so that generation.
Speaker 2 (07:52):
Well, and that's Pluto and Sagittarius, and that's built into them,
it's ingrained into them of characteristics of the sign that
Pluto is in. So yes, it is a generational thing.
And then of course where we've moved since and bringing
it right up to today, we have a group of
(08:13):
young kids that are zero to twenty years old now
basically that are Pluto and Capricorn, and they're going to
be the ones that are going to set the structure
of this new once they get handed the football. It's
they're going to want structure. They're not going to want
all this chaos that we're having today. Chaos is revolutionary.
(08:37):
That's Pluto in Aquarius. But remember the baton is going
to be handed back to Capricorn, and Capricorn is one
of the descriptors of Capricorn is being with Saturn, the
ruling planet of the sign. It's the sea goat is
the symbolism. So it can walk on land and it
can walk through water, but it's climbing a mountain. The
(09:01):
goat is climbing a mountain. The symbolism is you just
have to make sure it's the right mountain. And that's
going to be a part of confusion for that generation.
How do we rebuild this thing? But they're not going
to tolerate the stuff that's going on now. They are
going to want solid, lasting, firm, grounded stuff and that's coming.
Speaker 1 (09:24):
And the reason I bring this all up is not
for continued fighting among generations, but to understand each generation
so that we can help the next one.
Speaker 2 (09:34):
These generational imprints. It's so funny. I don't understand the
connection between the sky and the culture, but you think
about it, there is one. So where does the sky connect.
Does it connect with the coasts you grew up in
Los Angeles, Does it connect with the trend makers, which
is obviously southern California, all of California, the East coast,
(09:57):
New York especially, that's where trend when I grew up,
that's where trends began, and then they all found well.
Speaker 1 (10:04):
That's fashion trends. There's Milan in France, Paris, but.
Speaker 2 (10:08):
You know, we originate out of Saint Louis. I grew
up in Tulsa. That's very Midwest, and the trends take
a few years to find us, but they always do,
and then eventually it's kind of a watered down version
of what it was on the coasts, you know, a
little more conservative here in this part of the country.
So if you're yeah, I don't know, I don't know
where the sky connects with all of that.
Speaker 1 (10:30):
The reason also where I can see where it would
affect us in personality. For example, my daughter who just
had a baby. Her baby is alpha. My daughter, she
would be considered a millennial, very end of the millennial.
She is a Capricorn. Her daughter is a Taurus with
an Aquarius rising and a Leo sun or a Leo.
I'm sorry, a Leo ascending Aquarius moon, a Taurus. My
(10:54):
daughter's a Capricorn. She's very They're both going to be
in this ground. But this little girl who is the
alpha is gonna need that grounding as a parent. Am
I correct?
Speaker 2 (11:07):
No? Absolutely? Yeah, And there's a lot of earth in there.
Would you do me a favor for an edit point?
Would you say her three together symmetrically because it got
completely confused.
Speaker 1 (11:19):
Yes, sorry, I'll do it right now. I'll go. So,
my daughter, who is the very last of the millennial generation,
she is a Capricorn. She just had a little baby
born twenty twenty five, so that would be alpha. Her
son's sign is a Taurus, her rising sign is a Leo,
and her moon is Aquarius. Oh wow, yeah, So I
(11:43):
think it's good that my daughter know, and I've told
her this. I said, you really need to look at
your daughter's shirt. But as a Capricorn, I think that
grounding will be very helpful to help raise that child.
Speaker 2 (11:55):
Yes, it will. Now, Capricorn is cardinals, so she's mom
is going to be fighting for control all right, and
Taurus is fixed. It's probably the ultimate symbolism of fixed
the bull right putting its horns down and saying, oh,
if you don't like this, the boom knock you over
the fence. Right the old cartoons, it's like the Matador.
(12:19):
So it's the ultimate determination, and that's going to be
a battle of will right there. There's decent challenges with that, and.
Speaker 1 (12:27):
In the middle with an Aquarius rising or an Aquarius
moon intercharge during this Aquarius time, I said to my daughter, Igo,
you might want to just know, just to lax a
little bit. You're gonna have challenges with this one.
Speaker 2 (12:40):
Yeah. Yeah, there will be battles of wits there. But
this last generation, if you have a child that was
born since twenty twelve, that child was born with Neptune
in its own sign of Pisces. And a really good
descriptor of that came from my audiobook guy that I've
(13:01):
done six books for, Stephen Forrest. He wrote an article
back in twenty sixteen that was entitled when the Saints
Go Marching In and he was saying that during this
time from twenty twelve until basically right now, because Neptune
is getting ready to leave Pisces, that whole window of
(13:21):
kids are saints and mystics and sages and wizards mixed
in with a few drunks and alcoholics and drug addicts
thrown in for good mix, because all of that is
under the umbrella of Neptune. But this is a whole
spiritually focused generation of children that truly are I think
(13:44):
anybody with a child in this age bracket is looking
at that child and they're saying, this child is not normal.
Act like, they have a look in their eye, they
have characteristic of their composition. They have this purpose and determination,
(14:04):
and you can just kind of tell they're familiar with
the place. They've been here before, they know the ropes.
They've come here for a reason, yep. And my advice
is feed them, change them, water them, educate them, get
them to sixteen, throw them the keys, and get the
heck out of the way.
Speaker 1 (14:25):
That's actually good advice for anything.
Speaker 2 (14:26):
Because the work they have work to do.
Speaker 1 (14:30):
That is so true. So I see it in little kids.
It's very funny. I almost connect best with the littler ones.
And I was just at a grocery store again. This
happens all the time. I think the little two year old,
she just comes right up to me, holds her hands
out to me, and the mom's looking at me and
she goes, I go on, I didn't offer anything. She goes,
(14:52):
she never does that. I was like, oh, and I
just almost cried, and I go she's a little old
soul and the mom goes, yes, she kind of is.
So the mom was aware of this, but the fact
that she just came felt that energy of love was
kind of cool.
Speaker 2 (15:07):
Wow, that is amazing, and you know the parents know,
and so don't try to explain your child, you know,
if you are like looking at this and saying, wow,
this is really something special, Yes it is. It absolutely is.
And that's another component because Neptune is the second slowest
(15:28):
moving planet, so it sits in a sign for about
fifteen years Pluto about twenty. And the theme that we
have of these your young child, I promise you is
here for a reason, and so just realize and treat
them with that I guess respect or that guardedness to say, wow,
(15:49):
you have been given something that is going to help
shape the future of the world. And however things work out,
and there will be typical of life's challenges for all
of us, for every generation and their generation will experience
shifts and changes that we can't even imagine, just like
ours did, and all of that will be there. But
(16:11):
they have really come for a special purpose, this.
Speaker 1 (16:14):
Group absolutely, And again what you were talking about. Who
knows how the planets are in generation in the Asian
countries where TikTok emerged from China, I believe, and so
I don't know. I don't know that either, but I
will say, look at your chart, which again all that
stuff you can find on the funstrology and you can
also find great books on high timeline books and get
(16:38):
a reading.
Speaker 2 (16:39):
For heaven's sakes, Yeah, readings are going to be very
valuable going forward.
Speaker 1 (16:44):
And with your kid, Oh my gosh, get your kids
chart done.
Speaker 2 (16:47):
Listen, anybody, any parent who is interested in raising their
kid in this kind of way would do well to
get with a qualified astrologer. And I probably should open
up to doing this. I haven't been, but I really
need you.
Speaker 1 (17:00):
Keep saying that. I'm gonna bug you about it.
Speaker 2 (17:02):
Do a roadmap. Do a roadmap of your child's life
and know how they came in wired and then raise
them according to that plan.
Speaker 1 (17:12):
And to all my friends that are in my gen X,
just remember we created back to the future. Look it
up kids, subscribe to the sky Vibe the podcast, and
it's free on the iHeartRadio app or wherever you get
your podcasts, and thank you
