a comedy call, usually with a comedian, but today with
the guy that's bringing some comedians to town tonight. How
you doing man?
Speaker 2 (00:20):
Doing good?
Speaker 1 (00:21):
How are you very a little nervous? This is your
first event you've ever done?
Speaker 2 (00:24):
Right, Yeah, it's my first one, but I have a
feeling it's going to go good.
Speaker 1 (00:27):
Well about you too. I think it's going to be exciting.
And Carlos is who we have in the studio here,
and you've got a great event coming up tonight at
Titans Tavern and t And you're not with Titans Tavern.
You're just a guy going, Hey, I want to put
on a show. And I've got these guys that are
really funny guys there on the Kiltny podcast. I want
to bring them to town. Kudos to you for like
pulling this thing together.
Speaker 2 (00:46):
Yeah, thank you, thank you. I'm trying to start my
own production. It's going to be called limitless entertainment. I'm
basically trying to just book anybody that I can get
that will draw a good crowd and perform some good
comedy for us. Something we need in Sioux Falls.
Speaker 1 (00:58):
And if you feel the same way, you're like, we
need more cool stuff going on, We need more people
come into town. The best way to ensure something like
that happens is come out to the events that people do.
So if you're thinking, even if this isn't, oh hey,
this is exactly what I've always dreamed of, even if
it's just kind of that kind of sounds fun, come
out anyway, because then that ensures that the one that
you want will maybe be the next one, right for sure?
Speaker 2 (01:20):
For sure? Yeah, And I'm also going to do that.
You know, I want to kind of build my sets
off of what everybody wants to see. I don't want
to just do it off of what I want to
see or who I want, you know. So if I
can start doing that, I feel it'll draw everybody in
and people will start, you know, coming.
Speaker 1 (01:35):
So we've got tonight at Titans Tavern and Tea quite
a lineup. So who all do we have? What does
the final lineup look like?
Speaker 2 (01:41):
Yes, So we did have some changes. We had Jake
Rick of fallout. So right now we have David Jolly
of course being the headliner. Featuring will be Enrique at
Chacone and then Drew Nickens will come on prior to him.
I did also add two in town comedians. We have
Jacob Womeck.
Speaker 1 (02:01):
Yeah he's a funny dude.
Speaker 2 (02:02):
Yeah he's he's pretty funny. I seen him for the
first time.
Speaker 1 (02:04):
Like every big contest that you could win in the
last year for comedy, he's won every one of them.
Speaker 2 (02:09):
Lot I've seen that. I've seen he just won Best
Comedy of the Year or a Comedian of the Year.
Is that great? Yeah?
Speaker 1 (02:15):
Yeah, yeah, he's a very funny guy.
Speaker 2 (02:17):
I figured, you know, after seeing him and hearing about
how he won that, I figured this would be his
next step. It's kind of like a congratulations So here
here you go. Yeah, go perform in front of some
big times in a big crowd and bigger than what
you're probably used to or maybe you're not, but you
know it'll get bigger from there. So absolutely, again it's
about opportunity. And then I am seeing I have you.
Speaker 1 (02:39):
Yeah, so I know I'm I'm excited to be a
part of this. And here's the reason I'm excited to
be a part of it. I love that the spirit
of what you're doing, you're going I want to bring
things to town. I want to see this be successful.
So I'm exactly the same thing. I'm the biggest cheerleader.
And it was weird last week. We had somebody kind
of throwing some shade our way, and I'm like, I
(03:00):
don't get that. I don't understand that at all. I'm like,
if there's ever a show that I didn't want to
go to, I would just not go to it. But
I think that that, you know, stir up that happened
probably helped more than it hurt because I had somebody
reach out and go I don't even know that was happening. Yeah,
like this is cool. I'm going to go to it.
So I don't know if they bought a ticket yet
that if they haven't, they're going to be there again.
Tonight is the night and I'm excited for tonight. And again,
(03:20):
this is the first ever. So this is your inaugural event. Yes,
how nervous are you on a scale of one to
ten right now.
Speaker 2 (03:26):
I'm not nervous. At all. I'm just more trying to
be prepared. I'm just more going through my checklist, trying
to make sure I have everything taken care of, all
the loose ends tied up so that when it comes
time to you know, the show tonight.
Speaker 1 (03:37):
Well, it's going to be I think, a really good time.
And if people would like to get tickets, are there
still tickets available if they'd like to buy one.
Speaker 2 (03:43):
Yes, there are tickets. And again there are tickets at
the front door. So if you don't feel comfortable buying
them online putting your card information online, I get it.
I've been that person before. Just show up to the
Titans Tavern and Tea. You'll see the big sign that
will lead you to the back entrance where we have
the event center, and you'll just go ahead and pay
at the door. Once you get in, you're in.
Speaker 1 (04:05):
And what time do the doors open, and what time
does the show start?
Speaker 2 (04:08):
Doors open at six pm? Show starts at seven, ends
about eight thirty.
Speaker 1 (04:13):
Very very nice. Well, it's going to be a really
good time. And again, I know there's a lot of
folks that are fans of the Kill Tony podcast and
they know the three comics from there that are coming up.
I know Jacob Wollmack, he's hilarious as well every single
one of the people on this show. It's going to
be a really, really good time. Thank you for putting
this together.
Speaker 2 (04:29):
Yeah, no pump and just two things I want to
touch on. I'm happy to see you perform. Actually, you know,
because I don't really get to hear clean comedy. I'm
more of like I like, you know, dirty Gordon.
Speaker 1 (04:40):
Dirty filthy stuff. And the thing is, I am a
clean comic by choice. And it's funny. I did an
open mic night where I told a joke that had
the F word in it, and you should have saw
the looks on all the faces of the comics. And
it wasn't just for a reason like that was I
was talking about a text that came to me. Maybe
I'll even share that at the show tonight because that
(05:01):
would probably be the crowd for that. But it's a
funny story. But when all these comics they know me
is the clean comic, and I'm older than most of them,
I'm like their dad. And so it was like, oh
I heard John say the effort on stage tonight. I
didn't throw it out there to throw it out there,
I'd throw it out there because it was part of
the story. Yeah, and it's a very funny story. So
I don't know, maybe that'll be what I share.
Speaker 2 (05:21):
But yeah, I've watched some of your stuff too. You
do have some funny sets. I think you were telling
a story about your daughter one I seen. It was hilarious. Yeah.
Speaker 1 (05:29):
Again, my life, I just kind of share what I see.
I report what I see, and I see funny stuff
all the time.
Speaker 2 (05:36):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (05:36):
Well, thank you again for putting on the show, and
I'm excited for you and I will see you at
the show.
Speaker 2 (05:40):
One more thing. Oh yeah, so listen, you remember how
you were saying that we got some back push, you know, yeah,
a little bit of negativity. I actually reached out to
that person who spoke with them, had a great open
conversation and everything's you know, we're on a good a
good page. But what I did find out through the
conversation I had was that he felt that maybe he
(06:01):
would be judged for him himself being himself, and he
felt like maybe the jokes could lead to that. And
with that I just had to explain to him, I
don't want you to feel that way. Come out to
the show. Enjoy it. I want you to see what
it is because I would potentially have him on the show,
you know, but.
Speaker 1 (06:18):
I think everybody's walking at a show like yeah.
Speaker 2 (06:20):
For sure, Yeah it's not.
Speaker 1 (06:21):
And I've had a chance to talk to every single
person on this show, wonderful people. So you know, if
there's something you conjure up in your mind that all
this is nay, I don't think that's the case at all.
So again, everyone's welcome. I hope to see you guys
out there. Thank you again for putting on the show.
And you've got some sponsors. We should mention those guys.
Speaker 2 (06:37):
Yeah for sure, for sure, I definitely have a good
group of sponsors. I'm gonna start with Titans Tavern. They're
sponsoring the event. They're letting me throw the event there.
They've been amazing, nothing short, but amazing to work with.
We have Sneaker Flavors in the mall. They're a shoe
company here in town. Just going check them out. They
have some nice kicks. If you're looking to get your
kids some new shoes before the school year starts, they're there.
(06:59):
I also have KB Junk Pros. KB Junk Pros is
here in Sue Falls. They're a junk removal company that
will come in remove pretty much anything, whether you're moving
out or if you had a big storm and you
got trees falling over in your heart. They can come
and get it taken care of if you've got it
chopped and ready to go nice. And then we got
dependable Auto Sales. They're a new company here in town
(07:20):
of course, selling used cars, new and used cars. If
you need any services as well. They do automobile services
as well. That's awesome. And then, oh, I do have
one more. I apologize this was the last comer here.
We have Falge Trucking. Falge Trucking is a trucking company
here out of Tea.
Speaker 1 (07:38):
That is awesome. A big thank you to all those
folks for stepping up and helping. Again. I love the
fact that you get to do this fun show. And
if you don't have tickets, you can get the tickets
at the door, all of the details at Sue Fallscomedy
dot com. There's a link that'll take you right there
as well. Thanks for coming in man, Thank you John again.
