thing at the State Theater, isn't it. Yeah, Yeah, downtown,
and this is an opportunity to go out watch a
movie and have some fun and do a little bit
of good as well.

Yes, this is a screening of twenty five Cats from Qatar.
It's something we got connected. We got connected with the
maker of the film through one of our grants we
got and she had done another previous movie called Cat
Daddy's which I obviously related with. So I saw her
doing her tour with this new movie and I thought, well,

maybe we should have her come to too. Flows So
we were out and we reached out to her center
the State Theater's website, and she thought it was a
really cool place to do a screening of her movie.
So they're selling it out all over the nation, so
I'm hoping we can do the same here in Swo Falls.
And yeah, I had a good showing. We do have,
like there's going to be a Q and A with

the movies Trader at the end of it.

I love that. And this event is coming up Tuesday.
This isn't even your next event. You guys have so
many things going on. Sue EMPIRETNR dot org. I'm on
there right now, and I see on Saturday kit and
yoga on Saturday downtown river Fast. You're going to be
there doing some stuff. Pet Smart Adoption meet and greet
on the twenty first Sunday, also Sunday, su Falls Airy

Humane Society event. And then finally we get to Tuesday,
the event we're talking about. Like I said, not even
the next event, but it's coming up through Tuesday, twenty
five Cats from Qatar screening and a benefit at the
State Theater. You guys have been staying busy. We've had
folks from TNR on the program, I think maybe the
last couple of weeks a few times. Because you get
a lot of stuff going on.
Speaker 2 (02:03):
Yeah, well, I mean we grind pretty hard on it
and it seems to be effective. Here. We've got a
lot of really great, awesome volunteers. We have some really
dedicated people. So you know, when you have people like that,
you can do a lot of really good things.
Speaker 1 (02:16):
Absolutely, and again Tuesday, this Tuesday, September twenty third at
the State Theater, that is the twenty five Cats from
Guitar screening. If you can't make it to that, you
still want to get involved. Coming up next weekend already
the Sioux Falls Reptile Expo, and you guys are a
part of that as well, right.
Speaker 2 (02:33):
Yes, if there's an event, we're going to try and
throw our hat in the rings. So yeah, and we
had so much we have so many volunteers that are
into the reptile thing that it just made sense will
we adopt to a lot of people that have reptiles?
Oddly enough, so we figured it've maybe a good fit
for us.

you want to go out and see the calendar. There's
a lot of stuff that's coming up. And you just
had a poker run. You said that was a great turnout.
I'm excited to hear that as well.

Yeah, that was a fantastic turnout. You know, we were
hoping to get, you know, our first year, we were
hoping to get maybe fifty riders, and we ended up
getting ninety five people coming out and riding, So it
was it was a big day for us, probably our
biggest yet as far as fundraising. So it was I
guess we're going to be doing Folker runs now. There
you go for it that way. I love it well.

And the cool thing is, you've got another fun event
coming up here next month that I'm going to be
helping with. I'm trying to look on my calendar to see,
but there's a what is that event that's coming up
next month?

Cats for Cats?

There we go, yeah, yeah, and that's and and there's
a that's going to be kind of a fun event too,
isn't it.
Speaker 2 (03:38):
Yeah, that's down a red Urbur tattoo and tea. They've
got their artists have all drawn up a bunch of
flash art, which means that they've got a bunch of
cat and dog like style simple tattoos. Nothing customer big,
but you got to basically choose from there's quite a
bit to choose from there, you find some you like,
you pick it, they stick it, and I you sign

up online both again also our website there. I know,
I think they're going to trying to do two hundred
and fifty tattoos that day, so we want to get
people signed up but ahead of time where we will
take walk ins. But it would be nice to know,
you know, who we got coming so because we've got
a shot of artists and it's kind of a process
we got so we just want to make sure you know,

we can accommodate two hundred and fifty that day or
more if yeah, if people show up.

So and we'll talk more about that as we get closer.
But the again tats for Cats, and that's where you
get a tattoo and you're helping a wonderful organization as well.
