Speaker 1 (00:41):
Good, good, good evening, every one. I am so excited
to finally be here at s o S Radio Dot Live.
I am your host. I am doctor Marlee Mac and
I'm here finally at my live radio station. I'm also
here with the co host, the CEO, and the owner

(01:04):
of SOBS Radio Live. She will be interviewing me on
this afternoon, letting you guys know that she's gonna be
asking me questions so that you can get to know
me a little bit better. I'm gonna be telling you
a lot about me this evening. I'm gonna be going
over some things that I want you to know. And
I am super excited after what four or five months

(01:27):
to finally finally like be here. It's been like months
of just getting ready for this moment because originally we
were supposed to do it July thirteenth, so we went
all the way now to August and twenty fourth, and
I am happy, super happy to finally have this show
going live.

Speaker 2 (01:46):
Yes, so wait one minute, okay, doctor Marley mackin the house,
Ladies and gentlemen, I'm gonna get you started with them, because,
let me tell you, you know, this has been months
in the making, but I have to say it has
been an absolute honor and pleasure to right the moment

(02:11):
I met you. You remember that day and the moment
I heard your story.

Speaker 1 (02:16):
I was just in awe.

Speaker 2 (02:18):
I was inspired by the women I had right in
front of me. I said, she's part of the family.
She's part of the SOS family. So I'm so grateful
that you took the challenge and you said yes. So
one step ahead, radio show. How you feeling.

Speaker 1 (02:34):
I'm trying. Look, you're not gonna make me cry, Okay,
I'm not gonna start crying. But I remember the phone
call I got, and you know, I remember thinking about what.
You know, I didn't see it coming. You know, I
was busy doing what I needed to do. You know,
but I didn't see this coming. And I'm still overwhelmed

(02:55):
with it and exciting. But I know my steps have
been ordered. I know that I'm here for a reason.
I know that I'm here to change lives into Uh.
Share my story because a lot of people don't know
much about me. They see you on social media platforms,
but they don't get an opportunity to really dive into

(03:17):
a person and to get to know them. It's just
like looking at a book. You love the cover. The
cover is beautiful, but you kind of open up the book,
turn the pages, read those chapters and get into the book.
So today, let's let's get into the Let's get into me.

Speaker 2 (03:33):
Yes, let's get it doctor MacBook. I love it. We
got Melody Edward saying I'm here, sis, I ain't never
need I love it. So you know, yes, let's get
into that doctor Marlen MacBook. Because let me tell you,
ladies and gentlemen, you're in for a ride. That book

(03:54):
is amazing thing. It's full of ups and downs and
just beautiful journey, right, challenges and triumphs to write turbulations.
So take us through that journey. Right Who is Marlen
Mack and what brought her to this moment right now?

Speaker 1 (04:16):
Okay, this moment right now. It's been a lot. It's
been a lot of ups and downs. It's been a
lot of tears, fears, joys. I am a daughter, I
am a sister. I am a mother of four okay, Willie, Brittany,

(04:38):
Brionn and Brea. Okay. And I have a dog. I
have a sassy, a white Maltese. I am an entrepreneur,
I'm a friend. But most of all right, Now, I
am a radio talk show host. I am still walking
on clouds, you know, as to be at this platform
to share, to share my story and how I got

(05:01):
here and the positive things that I want my show
to consist of. The uplifting, the encouraging, okay, the faith,
the perseverance. I'm a big, big believer and visions and dreams.
But you know, visions and dreams usually come to us

(05:23):
while we're sleeping sometimes or while we laying on our pillows.
So I always try to tell people like, take those
dreams and visions off the pillows and implement them into something. Okay.
I'm also a big about rolling the dice. You know,
I don't mind rolling the dice because who knows what's

(05:43):
gonna come out of it. You're never gonna know, right
if you don't roll the dice, if you don't take
that leap of faith. So I'm here to say that
I am a epitomy picture of just being out there,
not afraid to roll the dice, and got knocked down
several times. I got knocked down several times. But when

(06:04):
you knock me down, you better hope I stay down
because if I get the opportunity to get back up.
I'm coming back up, swinging and swimming and getting bigger
and better and stronger, glowing and growing and expanding. Sometimes
we have to look at the platform and see the

(06:25):
design to stagnate us. And you can't allow someone to
stagnate the breath that you breathe. You control that, right,
You control your breath. So you need to breathe, and
when you breathe brief freely. Okay. But it has to
start with the enemy. Now, I want to share this.

(06:47):
As soon as I said enemy, you thought about the devil, right,
you thought about your enemies. But look at that word,
the enemy ner me. What's inside of you, the inner me?
The inner me is inside. So you start with yourself, right,
you start cleaning up yourself. Okay, see it in your mind.

(07:10):
You see it in time. What you want to manifest,
you have to see it. So it starts within me.
That end of me is not so much the enemy
that's out there forcing you, but it starts with you
starting with yourself. And once you recognize who you are,
and you go deep within yourself and you start in

(07:30):
your mind, because the mind is the battlefeld. So I'm
a strong warrior of perseverance. I'm a strong woman of perseverance.
You know, throw the stones because I grew up back
in the day where sticks and stones will break my bones,
you know, but names will never hurt me. And I'm
still living that. Like you gotta keep it moving, You

(07:52):
just gotta keep going.

Speaker 2 (07:54):
Wow, you said so much right there, and we already
have so many comments, right, doctor Max, I'm so proud
of you. Right, that's our dream? Right does is here?
Doctor Mac? That's awesome. Thank you so much for tuning in.
And if you guys have any questions for doctor Mac,

(08:14):
please definitely tell us your questions and we will make
sure that she answers them here live. But this day
is all about getting to know you more as a person,
as a human. Right, you are such a beautiful human being.
And I don't say this just to say you are
so resilient. Right, just what you said, somebody knock you down,

(08:38):
you get right back up. Where does that come from?
Where is that foundation from? Let's start there.

Speaker 1 (08:45):
That foundation is first of all, I grew up in Noyork, Okay,
And being in York is not to make it seem
like it's such a bad place, but I grew up
in the city of York, and you had to learn
to sub and you had to create a foundation that
sometimes only you could create. So my foundation is based

(09:07):
on my own creativity, along with my teachers and my
family members and all of them that helped me. But
I knew early on that a foundation that's built right
is the foundation to a lot of other things that
can lead you and elevate you on. If the foundation
has a crack, it's no good. If the foundation is weak,

(09:30):
it's no good. So again, when I started growing up
and I saw how things were going in my life,
I knew early on. I would say as early as
a junior in high school, I had to become strong
and hang in there. And I even wrote a little
bit about that in the book You know that. Hopefully

(09:50):
at the end of my show, i'll show you the
title of the book a little bit more about the book.
But my foundation is based on me knowing who I am,
where I'm going, what I had to do. And one
of my favorite, favorite favorite word of all time is focus.
Oh it's focused. It's hard to get me off that focus.

(10:14):
You know I'm there when I got my mind set
up that I'm going to do something I'm focused to
do it, and I just stay focused and I keep
looking ahead. So my foundation is based on my upbringing
and knowing that I can't allow it to have a
crack because I have an agenda and I know where
I want to go with my agenda, and I'm determined

(10:35):
to achieve that agenda. So if I'm not focused, how
can I do that? You know? How can I knock
those goals down and hit those tasks? If I'm not
focused and my foundation is weak, they don't go together.
That that won't work.

Speaker 2 (10:52):
That won't work. So is this something you've seen emulated
in your family?

Speaker 1 (10:56):
Right?

Speaker 2 (10:57):
Is this something you've seen with your mom or your
dad or anybody that was close to you, or it's
just something that was always innate in you.

Speaker 1 (11:06):
I believe it was innate. You know, my dad was
very very quiet. My mom, you know, was the one
in the room. You know, you knew she was in
that room, okay, And I think I got a little
bit of that from her because I never had the
quiet side of my dad. You know. I've always liked
to be making people laugh and acting silly and bringing

(11:31):
joy to any situation and just cracking people up. So no,
it's just my mom was funny. Now, I really have
to give my mother credit. She had that funny side
of her as well too. Yes, so my kids have it.
You know, my son have it. You know, we all
have that funny side, and we all like to laugh.
Like I like laughing. I like making people laugh. And

(11:52):
you know, of course I work with children and I
want them to laugh all day, and they make me
laugh all day. So laughing. Laughter is really a big
part of my personality because if anyone really really know me,
I'm gonna play a joke on you, They're gonna run
for me. When April Fool starts. They don't even want
to come to work. They know I'm plotting something. There's

(12:14):
a sad moment. I try to cheer you up. You know,
I can mimic a lot of things and mock a
lot of things. So I'm always changing my voice to
make people happy. But that comes to working with children,
trying to be animated and you know, give them a
good day before they go home to their parents.

Speaker 2 (12:30):
Yeah, that's beautiful. So you've been working with children for
a very long time now thirty next.

Speaker 1 (12:36):
Years twenty nine?

Speaker 2 (12:37):
Wow, I mean, come on, that's easier said than done, right,
but there is something beautiful about working with children. What
got you started with the passion of wanting to work
with children.

Speaker 1 (12:50):
So you know, I had my son early on when
I was in college, and then I got married and
I had three daughters, and I relate to those parents
that wanted to stay home, So I kind of wanted
to stay home and take care of my daughters. But
I was working, and I worked for this academy in
Bloomfield and it didn't work out well. So we brought

(13:15):
a house and inside the house was like a finish
basement that was just laid out that was saying school, school, school, school, School.
So I started my in house Daykerson in nineteen ninety
six in the basement of my home, and that started
me just wanting to just be a stay home mom.

(13:36):
But before I know it, people were bringing their children
to me from even the other school. So that grew
into All God's Children Christian Academy. That was originally one
Step Aheads name by the way, Wow, Yes, it was
called All God's Children Christian Academy. And when I left
the basement and got a commercial building, we changed the

(13:57):
name to One Step Ahead and That was in nineteen
ninety six and you have not looked back since, never
looked back, never regreddit it. I had a lot of
people to say, why you want to go get a building,
why you want to relocate? You're doing so well here,
But see I had our grude's face. You know, it
was time. It was more kids coming than I could have,

(14:18):
and it was really like time to move on. And
even with this particular year two, I'm still growing. I'm
still expanding. I'm not going to sit still like because
there's so much out there that you could do with childcare.

Speaker 2 (14:34):
Yes, so we have comments today, my goodness, beautifully sad sis.
We are so proud of you. Continue to inspire others
to take their dreams off their pillow. This is will
what will let Martin. Martin, thank you so much. And
Shay says Shae here.

Speaker 1 (14:59):
That that's wonderful. They think I'm trying not to be
a baby. I don't want no tears today, you guys,
no tears.

Speaker 2 (15:07):
If there is there is beautiful tears of joy, right
and excitement. I am so happy that this is coming together. Yeah,
because you are a woman that everything that you set
in your mind to do, there is nothing that's going
to take you away from it. You are focused, you
are determined. You are a warrior, right, so that warrior

(15:31):
spirit does come with a side of sometimes being having
to be alone in that process, right, or sometimes being hurt,
being betrayed. And I know you've gone through some things
in life. Tell us the you know some of those
moments that you want to share and how they shaped
you to the strong woman you are today.

Speaker 1 (15:52):
So, Marlena, you know what really got me is when
you can actually sit back and see the platform of
the enemy, when you can actually sit and see the
design plan to take you down. And it took me
a while because it seemed like every time I made
the left there it was every time I made a right,

(16:15):
and I experienced some things that was just horrific. You
know that I decided that I'm not gonna let it
bring me down. And this is why I tell people,
no matter what I went through, and I went through
a lot. I went through a lot of being pretty
much hiding my truck, you know, nothing to eat, and

(16:38):
I covered it up and I just continued to pray.
And I remember being in this building, you know, for
ten years, I breathed all kinds of life into this building.
It was just a shell, okay, And after ten years
the lease was up. So I asked the previous owner,
can you please just then died, because if you sell

(17:02):
this and I tried to buy it, but he won't
sell it to me. But if you sell this building,
whoever buys it. Now I'm a businesswoman, so I know better.
They're gonna come in here and like, she has no lease,
so we're gonna jack her rent up or we're gonna
asks for the lead. Now I've been there for ten years,
and guess what happened. It was sold and the new
owners increased my rent by six thousand dollars extra each month.

(17:29):
Now it was one price, it got increased. So now
I'm paying all this money and they gave me a lease.
But after twelve months a paying that increase and I
had to be out. I couldn't find anything in time,
so the lease expired after twelve months. Then I found something,
but because I wasn't out of the building, it went

(17:49):
to another five thousand dollars increase, so at that time
I had to shut down pack up. I had a
meeting with my staff. I had a meeting with my parents.
You know, I was very transparent. I had the paper trail.
I said, I gotta go. I have a building, but
it's gonna take me time. Now, I thought it was
gonna take me six weeks to just move from one
I'm moving, so you move one day care to the

(18:11):
other day care. No, it's not that easy. With the
state of New Jersey. You still gotta be in compliance,
you still gotta follow the rules. You still got to
get a CEO, you still got to get everything set up,
and so it took a long time. In the meantime,
I lost everything, you know, but I didn't give up
because I saw the plot. I saw the plan, and

(18:33):
I realized, you know, it's not don't take it personally,
because what I'm instilling in the children that are in
my care, that's what they don't want to see because
that's our future. So if you stop me, you stop
in the future of the children that's in my care.
You stopping me from giving them that foundation that they
need that I have. You stopping me from knowing that

(18:53):
they could do all things through Christ who strengthen them. Okay,
you stopping me?

Speaker 2 (18:58):
Wow, that is so powerful. But that didn't stop here.

Speaker 1 (19:04):
It did not. It did not. And let me say
prior to that, I don't want to share this with
you guys, my audience and my guests. I want to
share something with you. Guys. You look at people and
you say you look at me, right, not even knowing
the left side of my leg is paralyzed. Wow. Okay,

(19:28):
So that was another obstacle I had to endure because
I determined, after being in a wheelchair for months that
they said I would never walk again. I had to
go back and dig up my faith and get out
that wheelchair.

Speaker 2 (19:42):
Wow.

Speaker 1 (19:42):
So being put out, being evicted, being practically homeless, not
having your business, on top of that, becoming paralyzed. I
had to have a total hip replacement. To this day, Marlandy,
we still do not know what happened to my hip,
why at such a young age it had to be
totally replaced. But in the process, the doctor cut the

(20:04):
nerve in half. So I woke up paralyzed. And when
I say I was in so much pain, they couldn't
rehab the hip. They couldn't understand why I was in pain.
That's why I can't. I don't want to see nobody
in pain, because I know what pain is. I wanted
my foot cut off. That's how much pain I wanted

(20:25):
that I was in. Take my foot off, and I
couldn't take it anymore. So months of rehabbing Kessler and
the support of friends and family and my parents, I
dug myself out that wheelchair. Wow, I dug myself out
that wheelchair. I was diagnosed with drop foot. I was
diagnosed that I will always wear sninkers. I have a

(20:46):
brace that I don't even put the brace on. I've
had multiple surgeries so that I can walk the way
I'm walking down. Because I was determined, and this is
the craziest thing. I had a window of six months
to try to fix the drop foot. I wrote a
letter to the neural department, the neurosurgery department at Presbyteria
Columbia Hospital in New York and explain my case to them.

(21:08):
They took my case. But when they took my case,
it was five months two weeks. Only had two weeks
left in the window of any prepared prepreparation on making
the nerve better was a gone. Two weeks left. Got
that done, and just and right after that, I got
a tending transfer. So the same day I did the
nerve to fix the nerve. They did a tendon transfer.

(21:31):
So my mindset is roll the dice, do everything you can,
you know, not telling my staff when they say they
can't do anything. How many letters in alphabe it exactly?
And how many did you use? I just went the
letter A, but they're twenty five more. So come back
and try those because you can't give up because if

(21:51):
one thing don't work, try something else. Yes, try something else.

Speaker 2 (21:56):
Now, there's a lot to be set there, right, because
it is very hard to get into that mindset when
you're going through trials and tribulations, when you're going through pain, right,
and to the level of pain that you're going through.
What mindset, what personality traits, what abilities and traits helped

(22:17):
you during that time, during the worst time, during that
time of pain, that allowed you to say, no, I'm
going to keep on going, I'm going to keep trying.
Can you share that more practical step by step so
you know people that are listening can soak that in determination.

Speaker 1 (22:37):
You cannot let what you're going through define your destiny. Yes,
you cannot stop because you're going through something at the moment.
You have to be creative enough to create a plan.
You know and implement that plan. Not only that, you

(22:59):
have to have the faith and you have to believe
in yourself that you can do all things through Christ
who gives you the strength to do it. And as
I explained before, once I saw the plot and I
saw the platform to destroy anything that I touched, I
wasn't going to give the audience the power over me

(23:20):
when I know I have a power over myself. So
to say, it was determination, it was perseverance. It was
the grind, like I grind, and while you were sleeping,
I was working on my next task. And I was
determined not to let the enemy have the final say
so of my life or to give them the joy

(23:42):
that or the satisfaction that they won. Because I took
the test. I was going through the tests, right, and
the word testimony before you can spell that word, there's
a test, right, so you want the testimony, go through
the test, stand up and grind and persevere. And that's

(24:03):
my platform of just being able to survive. S OS
story of survivors no matter what you went through. And
I went through a lot, from being paralyzed, and not
only being paralyzed, why I was in rehab, got addicted
to painkillers. It is so easy. That's why my heart
goes out to people that are have these addicted to

(24:25):
these pills, because you're striving for something to take that
would take the pain away. You know, I used to
be balls up in a not in the wheelchair, and
I didn't let it get me down. I knew that
I had to get up out of that chair. I
knew that I had my kids to take care of.
I knew that not only my kids. I knew that
the kids that was in my care was dependent on

(24:47):
me to come back. And I knew that I had
to get through this. And no matter what kept come me,
I kept knocking it down because the determination within me.

Speaker 2 (25:00):
You're giving me goosebumps.

Speaker 1 (25:01):
It's what I went through, okay. And I know people
that through the fiery darts were sitting back. Hai. I
got her. But see there's something that God left us.
It's called the armor of God. I stay dressed in it,
come head to toe. Yes. And the more you threw
a fiery dark, the more that armor and that strength,

(25:23):
and how God protected me and gave me favor and
told me you're gonna be all right, it just made
me just keep going and life gets hard. There are
days I still cry. Their days I still feel bad
about how my leg got messed up, But there are
so many other good days that I could put on
a boot with a four inch hell when they told
me I couldn't walk. So I'm excited about the level

(25:46):
of my faith. You know, when the devil see me,
he starts shaking. You know, he just go, here's she
come again? You know, let me just go to the
next person. No, it's your faith could be as small
as a mussa. See, you just gotta have and you
see it in your mind. You can see it in time.
I tell my step you know you want to buy
a new car, Go sit at the car lot, Go

(26:09):
smell what a new car smell like?

Speaker 2 (26:11):
Smell it?

Speaker 1 (26:12):
Okay, see it in your mind. You can see the time.
You can manifest anything as long as you're around positive energy.
Like I refuse to be bombarding down with negativity. Yeah,
I can't have that energy in my circle. Mor Laney,
I just can't do that.

Speaker 2 (26:28):
Yeah, I mean, there's no time for that. We have
no time to embrace that, right, And I think that's
also one of the things that have kept you being
so successful despite the difficulties and the challenges we have. Listen,
this chat is on fire. Okay, So I just want
to be able to read some of the love that
people are leaving here for you. Will that says, Yes,

(26:49):
it brings joy to my heart when she tells that story.
But lord, please don't let her tell you any of
her other jokes. All right now, I want to hear
Paula says, go, doctor Mac, you are doing on an

(27:12):
amazing job. I'm so happy and so proud of you. Right,
there is love pouring in this chat. Let me tell
you then, you have, doctor Mack. You are truly a
strong and inspiring woman. Yes she is. I mean, there's
so much to read here. I'm gonna read on, but

(27:32):
I would love to for you to continue to tell
us a little more about that journey for you. So
here you were going through those difficult times, you were determined,
you kept on going. But when you got up from that, right,
you got up not only bigger and stronger, you did
a lot more. So you said to the enemy, oh yeah,

(27:54):
you want to bring me down, bring this down?

Speaker 1 (27:57):
Right?

Speaker 2 (27:58):
You came back bigger and strong or tell us about that.

Speaker 1 (28:01):
So that's that's that's me when you're able to see
the game, when you're able to see that they're they're
coming after you, okay, And you haven't done anything to anybody.
You just trying to live your life. You just trying
to make one end meet to the other. And then
all of a sudden, because of their nineteen, because of

(28:24):
the favor that's on your life, people don't even know
you well, despise you for that. So when I see
the negativity, and that's been the strong point, I have
the foresight to see the bs okay, and I'm not
going to give into it. I'm not gonna allow you,
and I don't want my followers to even think about

(28:45):
let anybody rain on their parade. When you have your agenda,
you stay focused, see, because it's the trick of the enemy.
And remember you gotta remember the enemy also in you.
You gotta get that out, and you gotta change the
way you think. You cannot have the stinking thinking going
on if you want to prosper, Okay, you have to

(29:07):
believe in yourself. And I know I feel like I'm preaching,
but I'm preaching based on what I went through and
what worked for me. While I sit here at this
radio station hosting it, you know, because of perseverance, endurance,
and just being able to do the best that you can.
Because my light is shining because of twenty nine years

(29:31):
of faithfully and when I say faithfully, I mean faithfully
serving other people's children to make sure that I'm not
that daycare that's on the news, because to face it,
they got bad reputations and parents are on edge about

(29:53):
taking their kids to daycare centers, learning centers, nurseries because
of what it's done to kids. So I tried to
be different to make sure when you drop your child
off and went to work, you got that peace of mind.
Because if you can give a parent the peace of
mind when you provide me for their children, you're gonna
be rich all your life. You're never gonna miss a

(30:15):
mill because that parent is gonna always be grateful of
that peace of mind. And I strive for that daily.
I strive for that daily. Go to work. Okay, twenty
nine years this Thanksgiving weekend, next year would be thirty
years I've been serving child care. And to this day,
as I go to work tomorrow, Marlenie, I still love

(30:36):
what I'm doing. I still enjoy my children. I don't
focus on the adults, the staff, the parents, I focus,
but my main focus is children. That's where my joy
comes from. That's why I'm so rich. And I don't
mean in dollars. I just mean in spirit. Yeah, I
just mean in favor from God. I just mean an
abundance of blessings. And I call myself blessed ones because

(30:59):
of the children. I sit here, because of the kid
that I gave. Those kids, And I say, parents and
to my staff, if you take care of the kids,
they already no, you will never go hungry. You always have.
They will always remember that. And I still enjoy what

(31:20):
I do. I'm looking forward to back to school. You know,
we've been paying all weekend getting to school ready, So
I'm excited about the new year. You gotta love your job.
You have to love what you do. And if you
don't find something that you have a passion for and
make it work for you, turn the passion not into pain,
but turn it into success. Right, you can turn that

(31:43):
passion into dollars. You can work so hard, but overnight
you could become a susenationion. That's right, And you gotta grind,
You gotta get out there. You gotta hustle, and you
gotta encourage yourself. You gotta pat yourself on the back.
You gotta look yourself in the mirror. Because when they
said miss Marty, how are you, the first thing come
out of my mouth. I am great. You are what

(32:06):
you say. Yes, okay, they said you are what you eat,
you are what you say. I am wonderful, I am blessed,
I am healthy, I am intelligent. I am going places.
I am going places that you know, the devil thought
I couldn't even go. I'm knocking on doors, I'm knocking
down bridges. In twenty twenty six, you ain't seen nothing yet.

Speaker 2 (32:30):
I absolutely love it. I want to share some love. Listen,
there's so much love for you and this child. I
am so happy you guys right, so will let Martin says,
God is truly blessing you, doctor Max. So you continue
to be a blessing to others. This platform is well
needed to encourage so many can't wait for your next segment. Wow,

(32:54):
that's beautiful. Melody Edwards says, I will say this, she
is the real deal. When I say this woman supports women.
She sees the gift in other women and does not
mind saying so with her eyes and more importantly, with
her heart, sees the gift in women in the need.
And I love you for seeing me. That is so beautiful.

(33:19):
That is so beautiful. I mean, you got some love
reigning on you right now, and you deserve it. You
deserve it. You are a beautiful soul.

Speaker 1 (33:29):
I am. I believe in giving and being a blessing
to others. And I have what I have because the
more you give, the more you receive. And I try
to teach that to my kids, to my daughter as
I call them at work, my parents. You know, the

(33:51):
key to having is giving. I'm not saying go give
your mortgage, your way, go give your rental way, but
be a blessing to some one, and don't look for anything,
you know, take care of those children that's in your
care as if the parent is standing right there looking
at you all day, you know, and be genuine with it,

(34:12):
you know, be because see God knows your heart. Okay.
And those kids they'll rat you out, Okay, they'll let it.
They'll let me know right away, not that one, you know.
So you gotta be real. And I have what I
have because of how I sold themto kids that I
would never stop saying that, And you don't have to

(34:33):
be the parent friend. The parent will see your work
through the care of that child. And I stand on that,
and I believe that they will know if you're taking
good care of their kids. And they always say, y'all
have a director that love what she does. Like I
go from Newark the Gateway Center, One Step Ahead Performing

(34:54):
Arts and Learning Center down there to the two centers
that are located at the Bakery Village, One Step Ahead
Babies and One Step Ahead Learning Center, all ran by
phenomenon teachers, Okay, and I can go from one cent
to the other and know that they're doing a great job.
But this is what I would love to do if

(35:14):
I could do it. I would like to hand pick
a staff. I would like to pack up all the
children and the world and move to another planet and
take care of myself. That way, I know they're being
well taken care of. But at One Step Ahead Learning Center,
One Step Ahead Babies, One Step at Performing Arts, we
are giving it our best and SOS Radio Dot Lab.

(35:35):
This platform that I have is going to be huge
because I'm going to open it up to my parents.
I'm going to open it up to parent methods. I'm
going to open up to parent tippings and ideas of
how to raise kids. I want grandparents to come on.
I just don't want people who have survived stuff. I
want to be able to show how you can do

(35:56):
certain things that you have issues with kids. I want
to bring and business owners. I want to spotlight a
business owner who have just been out there grinding and
need to get their business out there. You know. I
want to be able to get back to someone. I
want an artist to come on. I want someone that's
up and coming artists to trying to break it into
the music industry. My platform is a melting plot of diversity. Okay,

(36:21):
it's a melting pot of different stuff, not just stories
as survivors, but just stories period. Yes, okay, and you
always got to remember this. Life's gonna take you back, right,
Life going to take you back, but you gotta remember
to take one step ahead and keep going. Don't give

(36:44):
in to the negative. Were gonna have our moments. You're
gonna have your pity parties. It's okay to cry because
we've been there and do it for a night, because
what joy coming in the morning. Yes, sometimes when you cry,
you're sowing those tears and they pay off. You've had
a good cry, and then you feel good just to
get out there and fight the world. You ready. Sometimes

(37:06):
it's good to cry, you know. And I'm not trying
to paint a perfect picture picture because I still have
the trials and triviulations. But it's how you handle it
when they come. I'm telling y'all, change your mindset. Change
your mindset. It starts. This is a battlefield. The war
is in your head. Change your thoughts. Change it to

(37:29):
think on positive things and the good things. And if
it rebuke the negativity, I'm rebuke it. I'll rebuke that.
I rebuked it. I'm all day long rebuken. The devil
is a lot. The devil is a lot. I'm gonna
keep saying it because guess what, I'm human too. You know,
we all have sin, we all fall short. But it's
your thought process.

Speaker 2 (37:48):
Yeah, that's you're going, oh my god, this shot is
on fire, this chot is on fire. So let me
start with Rick. That's my mother. That's a proud daughter,
right then, father says, truly a blessing to the children,

(38:11):
parents and staff. Doctor Mac is truly one step. I
think she's a trillion steps. You know, I tell you
I don't want to cry.

Speaker 1 (38:21):
I don't want to cry. I love my parents, I
love my staff, I love and they know I'm there
for them. You know. It's a saying, Marlene, please don't
start her mouth, y'all. We don't want to hear mouth
because they gonna get it. They're gonna get the preaching.
They gonna feel like they told their mom just beat
them verbally down, you know. And I do that for

(38:44):
a reason because I've walked in some of their shoes,
and I don't want them to make the same mistakes
I've made. I want them to just go the opposite
direction personally, even when they work for me. Marlene, I'm
telling them, go get your own strive to be better
than you are now or what you did yesterday. And
I have a theme I shared with my staff. There's

(39:05):
not a day except for the weekends because I love
the weekends. But Monday through Friday. They know. I do
a list of things to do lists and I write
one two through for five. Say, for example, there are
ten things on that list, and I go back at
the end of the day, I've gotten four things done. Wow,
I've accomplished something. I can look and see that I

(39:25):
crossed it off, and then tomorrow I start over and
I add the I do it every day for years,
and it has been successful because I'm accomplishing as our goal.
I'm getting things done. It's not just stagnated sitting on
a piece of paper. I'm moving.

Speaker 2 (39:40):
Yes, Oh my god, we got I can't take it
with this shot. Let me tell you, there's so much
pooring of love. Sonna said, I hope I set the
name right. She's also an awesome, dedicated on and a
great on who loves us and shows it often in
so many ways. We love you, you Onto Dearly and

(40:01):
so proud of you. Wow. Morton says, we love you too.
Doc Jane says tears of joy and awesome women. Brit says, congratulations,
mar thank.

Speaker 1 (40:17):
You, God, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you
so much. And I'm excited to bring on my platform
of guests. They're gonna be telling their stories and uplifting
and I just want to showcase to the world how
awesome so OS Radio Dot Live is. But just giving

(40:38):
me this opportunity there, awesome you are. This platform that
I didn't see coming. I didn't see this one coming.
And but you know what, it's set right in my spirit.
I'm where I'm supposed to be and I'm going where
I need to go, and i know my has been

(41:00):
ordered by God, and I'm excited and I'm never ever
going to turn my light off. It's gonna continue to
get brighter and brighter and brighter. And if it starts
to blind you, hey, the sun shines every day. When
the sun is shining, the sun, do not care a
need shades. It still shines. Yes, And that's gonna be me.

(41:23):
I'm gonna continue to uplift, elevate and help those individuals
that I can, because you know, I had a lot
of help. They pray for me, my pastor, my church family,
they pray for me, my dear friends. And I don't
want to start naming names because I have a serious

(41:46):
support system. I can tell I have a serious and
it's been consistent because I'm who I am. You can
go away and not talk to me until five years
from now when you come back. I'm still gonna be
Marlane because you know what, my lane, The truth is
the truth. If the truth is truth on Monday, it's
gonna be the truth on Friday, and I have this

(42:08):
thing where I don't lie to my parents when it
comes to taking care of their children, because parent has
ways of finding out things. But if you telling the truth,
you can rewind that camera, you can say whatever you
want to say. The truth is going to be there.
And then I deal with over two hundred kids daily, right,
So imagine I'm trying to remember what I told you
and what I told you and what I told you.

(42:31):
But I can remember the truth, and I've done that
with my parents. I've been very transparent. I love my staff.
I have a good staff. I love my closest friends.
But more importantly, I love my children, and I love God.
And God is the source of my strength. Okay, He's
where I need to be. He's never left me, and

(42:54):
he has gotten me through some tough spaces because of
my faith. And I tell you your faith. Change your mindset, persevere, grime, endure,
don't give up. Don't have negative people around you. Stay positive.
See it in your mind, you see it in your time.
You know things that you want. You can manifest yourself.

(43:16):
I look at all the successful people on social media.
They encourage me. I clap for other people. I clap
for other people's success. I'm not gonna sit here and
tear you down. I'm gonna clap for you because I
know I'm next. Yeah, I'm next. Because what you make
happen for others, God will make happen for you. So

(43:40):
you want to stay mean and bitter and you want
to stay stagnated and not grow, then you stay that way.
But the energy around me will suffocate you with that mentality,
and we will breathe the energy on you because that's
I want you to be great. I want you to
go and be great. I want you to be successful.
It don't have to be childcare, be a cook. You

(44:01):
could be anything you want. I could do anything. That's
my theme song for this year's graduation by Quotaz. I
can be anything. And I'm teaching the kids that. That's
why we have the performing arts, because I put them
in front of a microphone. I'm building a self exteme.
I'm building a confidence. I'm not letting nobody tear them down.
I'm not letting nobody pull them down. I'm putting that

(44:21):
mic You have a right to be who you are.
Never be afraid to talk for yourself. I grew up
and I think my mother resented it because we were
allowed to talk, and you know sometimes you know, I
talk too much. But within my daycare, the performing arts
is something I love because it's just it's pushing them

(44:42):
out there. And I'm my motto, don't think it's all
about performing arts because we are educational based too, because
I believe Christ and education makes a great combination. And
I keep that together when it comes to my student,
and I know that when they leave one step ahead,
they have experienced some things that they would never forget.
But more importantly, it's that foundation, because early child education

(45:04):
is no joke those first five years. It needs to
be solid. Yes, okay, you need to make sure them
kids is getting everything, not just the days of the weeks,
the months of the year, the phonetic sound. They need
to have that self exting. They need to know that
they are loved and that they are blessed, and that
there are somebody and that they are going places. And
I teach that to them and I will not waiver

(45:24):
or wobble and fall down and let anybody stop me.
I have kids that I taught are now I'm thirty
years old, and they still can quote that scripture Philippians
four and thirteen. I could do all things through Christ
and script commits because it was putting them in that
solid foundation.

Speaker 2 (45:39):
Wow.

Speaker 1 (45:39):
Proud of that. I'm proud of that. Wow, proud of myself.

Speaker 2 (45:42):
Drop the mic. That's so beautiful. You know, when I
look at a person like you, you know, first I'm
looking in the mirror because I feel I can relate
to that like relentless.

Speaker 1 (45:56):
I'm not giving up.

Speaker 2 (45:57):
It's not in my vocabulary, right, but you are so beautiful,
You're soul, You're beautiful in and out. You know you
have that true First of all, your foundation is solid, right,
you have the core value systems and the faith that
you also impart to those kids, right, But most importantly,

(46:18):
you have that inner compass that allows you to be
firm when those times when this turbulent time comes. Because
you had one thing after the other after the other
after the other. Any person would have said, I give up, right, so,
and you didn't give up.

Speaker 1 (46:35):
No way, And I'm not gonna give up. I'll give
up when a coffin drops. But right now I'm still living,
I'm still breathing. God is still blessing. And I told
you earlier the platform and the plot was for me
to give up. I'm not gonna give up. That's what
the enemy want us to do, is give up. You're

(46:56):
going through so much in twenty twenty five, the world
is different, you know. It seemed like we're on a
speed ball change, Like we're just going through the emotions,
getting through our days and not really taking time to
really enjoy life. Because of what we're all going through.
And we're gonna go through, We're gonna get set back,
we're gonna get knocked down. We're gonna have to make

(47:17):
some detoys. We're gonna have to change our stinking thinking.
We're gonna have to learn to grind. We're gonna have
to learn to just suck it up. You know, I cry.
I have my moments, but I can get in my car.
There's nobody in my car but me, and that is
my time where I can just give God and exhort
the highest praises. And those are times that I could cry.
Those are times I'll be talking to myself and I'm

(47:38):
looking around, make sure the lady who is she talking to?
But it's my own self therapy. Sometimes you gotta talk
it out. But my thing is just no matter what
the enemy gives you. Hang in there. You know you
got gotta hang in there because that that is designed

(47:59):
to stop you. Who knows where God is taking you
and ordering your steps? Who knows where you need to be.
If you just give up on every little thing, every
little tragedy that comes your way, you give up. You
can't do that. It's gonna be good. You know what.
The devil was busy, but it can't knock at your
door all the time. God is everywhere, okay, So if

(48:20):
you reach out to him and have that faith, because
it could be your mindset and change, your job can change.
But if you don't have that faith, it's not gonna change.
If you don't believe in yourself. And that's the other
thing I don't care about you not believing in me.
I got enough to believe in you, me and everybody else,
everybody else, because it's me. It starts with you. It

(48:42):
starts with you and who you want to be and
what you want to do. People that want to start business,
start your business. You don't have to work for anybody else.
And I was determined, I'm gonna be sold. I'm gonna
be telling the Lord I'm out of here. I'm gonna
go with my own. You know, I can be an employer.
I've have been an employee, but and everybody's not boss material.
Some people are just great followers. I can follow, but

(49:06):
I also can be that person pulling the curtains clothes
behind stage. I don't have to have the platform, so
I'm versatile when it come. I know my place, I
know my lane. You know, I'm focusing on my grass. Okay,
I'm not worrying about your grass being greened in mine.
I'm gonna stay in my lane and focus on what
I need to do along that way. I'm going to

(49:27):
push others. I'm going to help others. I'm going to
build others. I'm not gonna allow us to tear each
other down. We're gonna continue to have a positive platform.
We're gonna figure out how we can help each other.
We may have some tears, but them tears can be
fears or tears of joys how we work together. And
it may sound like no, No, this is what I am,

(49:49):
this is what I've done, and this is why I
am as successful as I am because I don't allow
stinking thinking. I don't allow you to come into my
I circle. With that negative stuff. I don't want that
energy around me. And I believe in God. You know,
He's my strength. You know my faith cannot be weave.

(50:10):
I'm not gonna I'm not gonna shake. You know, the
devil gonna shake when he hear my name.

Speaker 2 (50:17):
Were here standing ovation and the chat I absolutely preach
excellent words of wisdom. I definitely agree. So, now you
are a host of your own radio show, One Step
Ahead Radio Show with Doctor Marley. I, what is your vision,

(50:40):
your desire? Who should be tuning in? What should they expect?
Take us through that?

Speaker 1 (50:47):
Everybody in the United States of America should be tuning
in to One Step Ahead Radio show. Seriously, I'm going.

Speaker 2 (50:57):
To have let's take it worldwide, worldwide.

Speaker 1 (51:00):
Let's go claiming for real, Let's go because I want
to have something different to my platform. I want to
bring in versatility. I want to bring in different levels
of business owners. I want to bring in those that
can educate others. I want to bring in those that
have stories that can inspire. I want to bring in

(51:23):
those people that have went through the fire, went through
the churches. I want to bring in those that can
give us methods on parenting skills. I want to give
those that can give us methods on makeup breaking. I mean,
just because I'm versatile. I'm different because one minute you
may see me wearing the Dallas cowboy hat, okay, Then
the next minute, you know, I might be a part

(51:43):
of the Order of the Eastern Stars. I might be
the chaplain praying. Then the next minute, I'm on the
floor running around acting like a cat and dog, playing
with my kids. Then the next man, I'm at home
planning with my dog. Then the next minute, I'm a
member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Incorporated. So my hats
are many, you know, and that's just who I am.
I multi talented. You know, I'm very creative. I like

(52:05):
to keep energy going uplifting. But more importantly, I really
love making people laugh. You know, it makes us feel good,
even in our darkest moment. A good laugh, you know,
you have a laugh so hard you feel like you
did some sit ups. That's a good workout, that's a
good laughter. So I want to bring in things that

(52:25):
are different than a melting part of different talents, things
that going to inspire others. Get you off that bed,
put that video game down, start your lesson plan, go
out there and know that you can do all things
you know and and have the energy to do it.

(52:48):
Because the stuff that I've been through, I haven't begin
to really share the things that were done to me too,
and how I didn't let it stop me. See that's
the key. Okay, your plot, your plans, your trickery, your
fiery darts. Okay, Yeah, I went home. I took my

(53:09):
clothes off. I had bullet wounds, I did. I had
knives stuck in my back, I had scratchers, I had
black eyes. You know, I had people stumping on me.
You know. I didn't give it an ounce, not an

(53:29):
ounce of attention. I soaked in the tub, went to sleep,
dusted off, got myself back up, and went back out
there and tackled what I had because if I didn't
do it, nobody else would do it. So I had
to be a survivor for Marlene before I can be
a survivor for my kids or for anybody else. And

(53:49):
being paralyzed and told that you would never walk, and
I was in a woolsh I couldn't even wash myself.
I had my friends, my girlfriends, they would dad to
give me baths. I couldn't do it, and being told
that I would have drop foot for the rest of
my life and my nerve, I believe it's called the
perial nerve, the perennial nerve that was cutting half on

(54:11):
and then my lady in. Two years later, I had
a total right knee replacement, you know. So I've been
put back together and I kept going. Okay. I refused
to let anything stop me from achieving my goals because
if not, I would be still in that wheelchair. Okay,

(54:32):
still parked in the corner in a wheelchair. But I'm
absolutely not. That is not the plan God has for me.
The devil thought he had won, but no changed my mindset. Yeah,
I said, I'm getting out this wheelchair. Nope. I went
from the wheelchair to the walker, to the crutches to

(54:53):
the cane, you know, and every now and then I
could run because I used to be an athlete. So
it is. It put me in a situation where I
had to survive, and we are survivors. We have to
keep going. And I can't express that enough to my audience.
Keep going, you get knocked down, get back up, keep going. Okay,

(55:21):
don't let anyone say you can't do something because there's
twenty six letters in alphabet. If you have to use
all of them, do it to start with A and
then go to Z because one of those letters going
to work for you.

Speaker 2 (55:34):
That's right. And if you have to invent one, do so. Yep,
beautiful message is here that I would remiss if I
didn't read this, so we'll let Martin says Marlene. Thank
you for being you, for loving our children the way
that you do. You are truly a strong woman, and
that's in capital. You are proof that strength and you

(55:59):
are proof that strength and grace can exist in the
same person. Leadership is not just about position you hold.
It's about the impact you make that's powerful, the doors
you open and the lives you touch. Thank you for
being you. Love you sis.

Speaker 1 (56:18):
Wow, that's very powerful and I think I'm a dream.

Speaker 2 (56:25):
Adrian says doctor Marlene. You encourage me and so many people.
It is a blessing to know someone like you. You go, girl,
congratulations and can so less your light shine bright like
a diamond. That is beautiful you are. You have an

(56:46):
outpouring of love because that's what you give, and you
get what you give.

Speaker 1 (56:52):
You you get what you put out. It comes back
to you. That's why I always say, put out right.
You never know what bridge you gotta come back, you know,
treat people right. And I'm gonna tell you something. I
meaning like, I'm at the point right now that I'm
so focused on what I gotta do. I really don't
have time to care about the negative of what anybody
say about me because my focus is my achievement. My

(57:15):
focus is also those kids that are in my care. Okay,
my focus is my family, because no matter what you do,
somebody gonna find something to say. Right, Yep, You're not
gonna please everybody, and you can't let that stop you.
You can't. You have to magnify what it is that
you want to do. And again, from being put out
of a building that I was in for ten years

(57:37):
to having my truck, you know, repossessed and hiding and
eat eating food, I never gave up. I just kept
on going. And God had just continually had his hands
on me, you know, And I knew once I got
my program up and running that I would be okay.
Then being paralyzed from a total hip replacement, then two

(57:58):
years later your need replacement and drop foot didn't have
an attending foot then going back to the hospital trying
to get yourself out. I was determined. And again, you
have to see the enemy, okay, and you have to
see it and know that this is just a setback
for the biggest comeback that you're gonna have. Okay, So

(58:18):
go ahead, you know, take the punches. Okay, let them
punch you a couple of times, but you better get
back up, and you better get up. And this is
why I chose the phoenix for my school's mascot, because
that phoenix will go down and die so many times,
and those ashes, and then it would just rise back

(58:39):
up just as beautiful as ever, just vibrant, flapping the red,
ready to go again. And that's me. Every time I
went down, I came back up. Every time you pulled
me down, I came back up. Every time you threw
a fire dark, I duck and I came back up.
And I'm gonna do that. And I teach my kids that, Okay,
I teach my kids. You have to stand up for yourself, Okay,

(59:00):
have to dig deep and find that encouragement. You can't
let people treat you any kind of way. You can't, Okay.
Who's better to take care of you than yourself. Yes, right,
And sometimes people don't like people like me because I
don't sugarcoat what I gotta say. I have no filter.
You know, if you ask me something, be ready for

(59:21):
the answer. May not be the best answer, but that's
the answer I gave you. And I'm sorry. You know.
The filter got a little bit better. Okay, I got
a little bit better. But I like being transparent, yeah,
because it's honesty. Yeah. I don't like hurting people's feelings

(59:41):
because I work with kids and I don't want to
hurt their feelings. I don't want to see anybody hurt
and after being hurt so bad, you know, with my foot,
I don't want people in pain, you know. So I
just I love life, you know. I'm excited about SOS Radio.
I'm excited about my guests. My slots of filling up
very very fast. So you guys gotta email me if

(01:00:03):
you want to be on my show at mar Lee O.
S A at gmail dot com. Just email me. I
will email you right back as to how you but
what you have to do to be a guest on
so AS Radio dot Live, the One Step Ahead radio show.
It is going to be amazing. I am sure that

(01:00:24):
somewhere out there somebody is going to be encouraged and
lift it up and inspire, because that's what I'm about,
that's what starts me on my day. I listen to stories.
I listened to sad stories, but at the end of
the day, I'm going to make sure that I'm giving
you the best encouragement because I know where I did,
I know where I got to where I got and

(01:00:45):
I know that, and I'm gonna continue to post. I'm
gonna post, post, post, post, post, and who ever don't
like it, well look another way I'm gonna post because,
believe it or not, social media can can be your
worst enemy, but they could also be a best friend.
And social media has built my school. So they're just
sitting there on waiting lists because of the constant posting

(01:01:07):
and the wonderful things that we're doing with the children,
with the kids, you know, inspiring them. They're laughing, they're learning,
they're growing, They're in a wholesome, safe environment where they
can thrive once they get inside with us, we give
them the best. Yeah, and I have tons of kids.
I have kids that I taught this. Now I'm thirty

(01:01:28):
years old.

Speaker 2 (01:01:28):
Wow, thirty wows and not only I'm so excited for
this platform because now not only the kids get that
excellent right now, the adults do too. Yes, I want
you to take a moment to speak to those you
know listeners and those that are going to be watching you,
those fans and those people that love you, those people

(01:01:49):
that are going through hardships, those people that are in pain,
that are going through the battle, that are in the
mud right now, I want you to speak to them,
and I want you to invite them and tell tell
them what they should expect.

Speaker 1 (01:02:03):
I want you to understand that it's important the first
dig for your faith and have it in your heart,
because if you don't have the faith, the works is
no good. When you have the faith and believe in yourself,
forget what mom said to you, or your significant other

(01:02:27):
or your best friend. You gotta know who you are
for you, okay, And then you need to change your mindset.
You need to learn to see things in your mind
as you wanted to be. When I was in the
basement in my home, I saw myself with a three
story daycare center and I had that because I manifested

(01:02:50):
that and I believed in me and what I thought
that I needed to be, and I didn't let anybody
deter me. Because people will talk you out of your money,
will talk you out of your visions, they will talk
you out of your dreams. You gotta know yourself. You
gotta come on this platform, tell your story because your

(01:03:10):
story may be different than my story, but your story
too can encourage others to keep on keeping on and
keep on moving. The whole thing in life is just
to you get step back. Okay. You get caught up
in things, you do, things that we regret, we say things,
but we're human. You know. You have to forgive yourself,

(01:03:33):
and if you can't forgive others, then that's gonna hold
you back because some people have done some things so
that we just won't forgive. But for growth and manifestation
and a peace of mind, let it go okay, and
you move on okay, and you will have a cleansing
period in yourself where you can feel free to start

(01:03:54):
over and not be weighed down with unnecessary stuff that
you'll cause it on yourself. So you can't let people
use you to be their garbage can. Okay, I'm not
your garbage can. You're not gonna dump your garbage in
me and go and then you got me all funky
and stinking from your garbage. No, we're not gonna do that.

(01:04:17):
But we're gonna come together and we're gonna try to
help heal each other, and we're gonna try to help
grow with each other and manifest. You know, we want
those people that have dreams to start fulfilling your dreams.
Life is too short to be stagnated. Okay, you don't
want to be Oh, I should have roll the dice
and see where it gets you, because you know what,
you can always go back and if it doesn't succeed,

(01:04:40):
try again. If I had gave up a long time ago,
I might be pushing a car under a bridge. I'm
not gonna do that. I'm not gonna give the enemy
the satisfaction of bringing me down and holding me down
or put his foot on my neck that I'm I'm
a better person than that. I think highly of myself,
you know. And that's the other problem. We have to

(01:05:02):
think highly of ourselves. Okay. You know I've always said
I may not look like what I've been through, but
I've wavered the storm, and I saw the plot. I
saw the enemy, and I refuse to give in. And
I don't want you to continue. If you are giving
in to the negative thoughts, to the negative vibes and
being around people that don't mean you no good. You

(01:05:24):
can do bad all by yourself. Why have a party
or a circle of people that can't elevate you, right,
can't push you to where you need to be? Right?

Speaker 2 (01:05:34):
That's powerful right there? You know, I want to take
the opportunity to say thank you for being you, for
being the person you are, for taking on the challenges
that you have, but for taking on this particular challenge
because you will be educating, helping, inspiring and motivating kids
and now adults as well through the radio show. And

(01:05:58):
that's amazing. That's amazing you and you start from what
age three months? Three months and this has no age limit.
You could be one hundred and you could be.

Speaker 1 (01:06:09):
And that's fantastic. See And you know what, Marlene, I
thank you for that because I didn't look at it
like that. I'm so giveed with the children. That's my
world for twenty some years. It's kids, kids, kids, But
now I have a huge platform to expand, to explore,
to even help the adults. For three months or even
when they and Mommy tell me, but to just elevate

(01:06:30):
their parents and the adults and to reach out to
them and to take it back down to the kids,
because I'm gonna do it all on this platform. Whatever
God gives me, I'm gonna give it back one hundred fold.
You know, I'm gonna continue to just be who I am. Yes,
I know, I'm gonna be who I am. Yes, you
know if you don't like me, oh well, but I'm

(01:06:51):
gonna be Mark Lean, I'm gonna be doctor mag I was.

Speaker 2 (01:06:55):
Just gonna say that, Doctor Marlene Matt, thank you very much.

Speaker 1 (01:06:59):
I Am going to be who I am, and you
know I am who I am. I am great. I'm
an entrepreneur, I'm a business own, I'm a CEO, I'm
a doctor, I'm a mom. You know, I can be
your best friend, but I also can give you a
piece of my mind quick. I'm not you know, from

(01:07:21):
zero to ten. I'll let you have it if you
have to. Okay, you might not like it, but that
comes with the territory. Yeah, you know, you can't be
a boss. You can't be a mom and want to
be miss Nicey all the time. You know, it's not
gonna work that way either.

Speaker 2 (01:07:33):
Yeah, that is so beautiful. I mean, we can go
on and on. Let me tell you, you know, and I
can't believe it. Our has already passed by. I told
you it was gonna pass by quick. But in closing,
you know what time are your shows every single week?
How can they tune in? Who's coming up next? Tell
us a little more?

Speaker 1 (01:07:54):
Come on, I have this dynamic couple that's gonna be
coming on next Sunday at five thirty. Troy Williams and
his wife will be my guests on One Step Ahead
Radio Show next Sunday five thirty. Please come back, sit
in and learn a little bit about a couple that's

(01:08:15):
married and been through a lot, that is surviving their
marriage and some things that they went through. They want
to come on and inspire a lot of you guys
that are thinking about getting married. So those of that
are married, you know, it's a good topic and we
want to bring in Troy Williams next Sunday five thirty here,
One Step Ahead Radio Show hosted by yours truly doctor

(01:08:38):
Marlene Mack.

Speaker 2 (01:08:41):

Speaker 1 (01:08:55):

It's gonna take you some steps back. And when life
does that, just remember one step ahead and keep going
that just steps to be ordered by God. Peace. Family,
