Speaker 1 (00:14):
Hey, my friends, welcome back to the Soul Podcasting podcast,
where soulful strategy meets creative execution and where your voice
isn't just heard, it's actually felt. I'm your host, Amitria Zinga.
I'm the founder of the Soul Podcasting Collective and we
help CEOs, coaches, creatives, and founders launch intentional podcasts that
build brand authority, deepen your audience connection, and support sustainable
(00:38):
business growth. And today's episode is a game changer, and
we're diving into how to build a visibility engine around
your podcast because publishing an episode is only one piece
of the puzzle. So if your show is sitting in
silence after release day, or you're wondering why more people
aren't tuning in, this one's for you. Let's talk about
(00:58):
how to build a systematic, soulful visibility flow so your
podcast works harder for you long after you hit publish
and before we get rolling. If you're ready to launch
with intention, you haven't started your podcast yet and you
don't want to just wing this launch, make sure you've
downloaded my launch Confidently Podcasting checklist. It's not just a
(01:18):
tech checklist, it's a strategic guide to help you align
your voice with your message, map out a show that
fits your brand, and create content that attracts and not
just chases. So whether you're launching or relaunching, this is
your go to guide and you can grab it now
via the show notes. All right, my friends, let's reset.
This is your creative CEO time, the space where your
(01:39):
voice becomes your strategy. There's no pressure and no clutter,
just alignment. You didn't start your podcast to stay invisible.
You started it to make impact, right, to create connection
and establish your authority in your field. So today, let's
build that engine that gets you seen, heard and remembered.
(02:13):
Here's the truth, my friend. Podcast growth starts with clarity
and not hacks. When I launched my very first podcast,
I thought I had everything figured out, a good mic,
solid content, a clean website. And then again, I didn't
have it figured it out. And I kind of knew
that too, But I would hit publish and then nothing crickets,
Nobody was engaging, and I honestly started to wonder if
(02:36):
podcasting was even worth it. But what I realized was
that I was pouring everything into production and almost nothing
into visibility. I wasn't sharing it consistently. I wasn't repurposing. Now.
Granted this was back in two thousand and five where
repurposing wasn't quite the art that it is today with
(02:56):
all the social media that we now have, But using
what I had, I wasn't giving people multiple touch points
to engage with me. So once I shifted my mindset
from just create to create and distribute with purpose, everything changed.
That's when I began using my newsletter to reach out
to my audience and let them know that I had
a new episode available, or I found ways to network
(03:19):
online using the networking platforms we had available at that time,
and suddenly everything changed. People were messaging me and saying, hey,
I heard your episode and your newsletter recap really resonated
with me. And that's when I understood that your voice
deserves more than one shot at being heard. And that's
what we're building today, a system so that your episodes
(03:41):
actually work for you long after publication day. So before
you post another audiogram, you need to ask yourself what
transformation does this episode offer? Remember, each and every one
of your episodes has a purpose, Right, there's something you
want your audience and your listener to do. Ask yourself,
what does my audience need to hear right now today,
this week, and am I podcasting to fill space out
(04:05):
there in the Internet land, internet world? Or am I
attempting to lead with purpose? And that shift from just
publishing to leading with purpose is the foundation of visibility.
So let's think of your podcast episode as the hub
and everything else as the spokes. Now, there are a
lot of ways to look at this when you are
(04:26):
building out your content strategy, and for many people, their
blog posts, their video or their podcast becomes that core
of their hub for their multi channel system, for example.
And so from one episode, you can create your reels,
your tiktoks or shorts, your blog posts, your email newsletters,
(04:46):
visual carousels, audiograms, LinkedIn thought leadership posts, teaser clips, or
behind the scenes shares. And this isn't just about being everywhere,
because that's exactly what it feels like, Especially if you
are a solopreneur doing this on your own without a team,
it can feel like you were stretching yourself then to
do it all. But I want you to reframe the
way you look at this. Your goal is to reinforce
(05:09):
your authority across the platforms because your audience actually uses
those platforms, So figure out which ones they use and
spend the bulk of your energy after creating your content
your podcast, getting that piece of content to your audience
where they exist, where do they hang out, where do
they live? Go there first before you worry about the
(05:30):
other places. I haven't honestly spent much time on TikTok
and YouTube shorts was supposed to be on my list
of things to do this year, and I have filled
drastically at that. But I have done great with getting
out my Instagram reels and stories, so I'm doing better
with Instagram and LinkedIn. So those are the places where
I'm hanging out where I believe my audience is. And
(05:52):
so you just have to pick what platforms are best
for you, whether that's Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, or whether
you have a ton of readers on your and always include,
of course your newsletter subscribers, your email list. So if
you host guests, you're sitting on a visibility gold mine.
So make it ridiculously easy for them to share your content.
(06:14):
You want to have branded graphics, pre written captions, any
short clips that they can drop into their feeds, and
don't just stop at one episode. Build relationships like co
host and Instagram Live. I haven't done that, but it's
an idea for you share their work on LinkedIn. This
is something that I do regularly and maybe even build
a joint lead magnet, something you can work on together.
(06:35):
And when your guest shares your podcast, you're instantly introduced
to their community, and that's organic visibility at scale. Now
we're going to talk a bit about creating a rhythm
of visibility so that you're not constantly doing one off posts.
And the best shows really aren't always the most polished ones,
so the most consistent I use that word quite often
(06:56):
on this podcast, consistency. And here's the example rhythm that
you can use. And yes, I use something like this myself.
So Monday could be release day or teaser reel. Tuesday
could be your carousel or your quote post. Wednesday might
be your audiogram or an Instagram story or a Q
and A. Thursday might be your newsletter and a LinkedIn
(07:17):
thought piece. Friday could be your behind the scenes or
a lesson of the week. But you see how you're
constantly reaching out to your potential audience through these different
types of content pieces. And for me, this would be
something that I would use for my Instagram strategy. But
figure out what platform again, that you want to be
on and spend time there and figure out what works
(07:40):
best for that platform, and release your content accordingly to
sort of tell your story of what you do in
your business and how your business is helping so many people.
Visibility isn't about hustling harder. It's really about creating rhythms
that keep your show alive beyond your launch day. Another
thing is that you don't want to sleep on your community.
(08:01):
Visibility does not stop at social media, so you want
to build those conversations out. You can start a thread
on Instagram, or you can host a live Q and
a about your latest episode. One of the things that
I'm planning soon is a bit more live experiences, workshops
that kind of thing. Or you can even drop it
in a Facebook group with some thought provoking question that
(08:22):
you have and so you can begin building that conversation
on Facebook. Again, it's really up to you and what
platform feels most comfortable for you. But here's the big one.
Just make your content searchable. If you can do that,
it's going to help you so much. So, whether that
is YouTube, which is basically a search engine, in and
of itself, Pinterest and your blog post. These are engines
(08:43):
that keep working for you years down the road, and
that's how you create sustainable long term visibility. So you
do want to be taking advantage of your content for
the long term and making it searchable using your SEO.
I do have a podcast episode about using CEO basics
that you can do in just a few minutes to
change the way you're able to reach more people and
(09:06):
get that traffic coming back to your website and to
your content. So that would be episode number forty nine.
And I also have one called ways to Boost SEO
for Podcasts and that is episode number thirteen. So those
two episodes should give you a bit more information and
detail about making sure that your content is visible for
(09:27):
the long haul. Now, if you're ready to launch with
visibility in mind again, I do have my Launch Confidently
Podcasting checklist. It's a step by step guide to building
your podcast that's not just a pretty podcast, but a
powerful one. You'll walk away with clarity on your content,
consistency in your strategy, and confidence as you share your
voice with the world. You can grab that link. It's
(09:49):
in the show notes and before we wrap, I want
to share something fun that's happening inside this whole podcasting collective,
and that is my monthly coffee chats. I've been sharing
a bit about that for the last couple of episodes.
Think of it as you're podcasting coworking cafe, so to speak.
It's a very short time with me. We sip, we strategize,
we share what's working, and it's not just another zoom call.
(10:10):
And it is a private creative space where you can
ask me questions, brainstorm any visibility ideas, connect with me
as you are building your podcast with intention. And it's
just a one on one kind of strategy call, coaching call.
It's whatever you need, it's ask whatever questions you need
without any strings attached. I'm providing this for just a
(10:33):
bit longer until I'm ready to move to the next
step of where I'm going with Soul Podcasting Collective. But
for now you can get in on this deal absolutely
free to you for the next month of September twenty
twenty five. And I'll tell you a quick story. One
lady who came to a coffee chat was ready to
(10:54):
give up on her show. She felt like no one
was listening. And after we walked through her visibilit strategy,
she restructured her episode flow, she started repurposing her reels,
and within weeks, her engagement has increased and she's on
the trajectory for it to begin to double at some point,
but it has increased, and we've seen the uptick in
(11:15):
her results. She's happy with the results, and I'm happy
with the fact that I was able to somehow be
a part of her journey. And that is the power
of visibility when you pair it with community, with a coach,
with a mentor. And so, speaking of community, also want
to share a kind word from someone I deeply respect,
and his name is Dave Campbell. He's the host of
the how To podcast series and this is a testimonial
(11:37):
that he gave to me on my show, and I'm
so grateful. He says. Demetria is a gem in the
podcasting world, a true honor to have on my show.
Be sure to check out Soul Podcasting and her other
amazing shows. You will fall in love with her and
all that she does for others. Dave and I actually
did a podcast swap and he was my guest on
episode fifty of this show, and I was featured on
(11:58):
his podcast as well, So I'm gonna leave links to
both episodes in the show notes so you can check
them out. But thank you Dave. If you're listening, I
appreciate you, and guys, check out what he's doing. We
the podcasting community are very inviting and open and we
share information with each other. We build each other up,
(12:18):
and we bring on new podcasters and show you how
to do it because we believe in the power of
your voice. So nobody's out here gatekeeping. We are trying
to help you get started and get launched, and that
is the whole point of a podcasting community. And so
Dave has his community. You can check him out at
(12:38):
the how To podcast series. And then I also have
my community, which I am building out as we speak,
and so we'll be hearing more about what I'm doing
here in the upcoming months. But that is it for
today's episode. Here is your big takeaway. Visibility doesn't happen
by accident. It happens by design. Your podcast can become
(12:59):
the centerpiece of a visibility engine that works across multiple platforms.
It touches more people, and it positions you as the
leader that you are. So if you're ready to build
that engine. With strategy and with soul. We've got you
over at soul podcasting dot com. You can visit me
on Instagram at soul Podcasting and let's map out your
(13:20):
podcast growth game plan. Until next time, I want you
to keep creating, stay visible, and let your voice be unforgettable.
Happy podcasting,
