yet another episode of the Chatroom. It's week number two,
episode number two of twenty twenty one, and I'm just
so excited to have you here with me. My name
is kazaim Or Chandebaia and today I am joined by
a special guest, an author, Gabriel cili Masco. How are

(00:48):
you doing, Hi, Hiasachi.

Speaker 2 (00:52):
I am so excited, and let me tell you why
hus I made the cast. I the great line that
you have an age restriction, so I made it. You
got the platform, you know what.

Speaker 1 (01:07):
When we were speaking and you mentioned do I make
the age restriction? I was like, what, Yes, you definitely
make the cut. But yes, the listeners are going to
understand why you do make the cut. When we get
into the discussion. But I do hope that you're doing
well despite everything that's going on around us.

Speaker 2 (01:24):
I'm doing fine. I'm fantastic, I'm calm under the circumstances,
and I'm happy.

Speaker 1 (01:30):
All right. Yes, I think the idea is to just
stay positive, you know. But yes, yeah, yes, So we're
going to be speaking about your first book. I'm really
excited about that, and it's a Christian book. So before
we even get to the title off the book, I
just want to ask you what made you write a

(01:53):
Christian book because it's not something that you see every day,
and yeah, I just want to know where your mind
is at with that regard.

Speaker 2 (02:00):
Oh, well, writing the book. It came about because, I mean,
we know that in this world, we have so many
books motivational, spiritual that are actually intended specifically for adults
and young adults. So I thought, why not why not
write a book for our junior youth, because it's almost

(02:23):
like they're the neglected and forgotten a group of people,
but at a certain age we expect them to be
spiritually and socially matured. Yet we're not doing the work
that is much needed at an eddy stage. So that's
one of the reasons why I decided to write the book,
and of course it might be addressed to our teenagers,

(02:46):
so to speak, but the contents are actually beneficial to everyone.
I think you've probably noticed from the table of contents
that it actually accommodates everybody. Yeah, and last as young
as I am. Of course, I'm a.

Speaker 3 (03:02):
Mother, so I want my own kids, you know, right
age to have access to this type of information first
ten from me, you know.

Speaker 2 (03:14):
Before the big bad world gets them. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (03:17):
And I know all these things have to start from
you know, from within, from home, you know. So I
think I think that's a great concept there. And please
can you explain how that came about and the idea
behind the cover, because for those that haven't seen the cover,
I will be posting it on my socials. It's a
very interesting cover, So please can you explain that a

(03:39):
little bit before we get into the details of the
book itself.

Speaker 2 (03:43):
Okay, Well, the title of the book is called Christ
is No Limit, So we know that it's a popular
thing to say amongst us young people that oh, the
sky's the limit, you know what I mean. So it
was just a play on words that Christ is no limit,
and it's an important message to put out the you know,
tell you that there is nothing impossible with him. He

(04:05):
is unlimited. And that's how the title came about. And
that's for the cover. You notice it's a beautiful cover, right.

Speaker 3 (04:17):
I grabbing.

Speaker 2 (04:18):
So the cover is just a reflection of the amazing
content that's inside the book. And you know, they say
do not judge your book. In this case, I am
saying cod and bold, judge it by its cover.

Speaker 1 (04:40):
I think if if I was to judge the book
by its cover, I'll probably buy two copies by mistake.

Speaker 2 (04:45):
But yeah, no, you know, I mean you can see,
I mean the characters of the book, they're good looking,
they're cool, so basically they got the vibe.

Speaker 1 (04:55):
Right is that the term?

Speaker 2 (04:59):
Yeah, cut the vibe.

Speaker 1 (05:01):
So just just like sorry, before you move on. I
just wanted to ask, did you take like pictures of
people when you came with the cover. It's like drawings,
like literally drawings, or it's like an outstretch of someone.

Speaker 2 (05:14):
It's literally drawings. Honestly, you know that I'm supposed to
get young, cool people, but I was like, no, let
me just make it cartoons. You know, most of the
characters we see, they're not so amazing, but this one's
they're beautiful. And also, you know, I want our young
people to see themselves, you know, see themselves on the cover.
And yeah, it's as uplifting as the cover.

Speaker 1 (05:37):
Looks, all right, and like it's so pretty cool that
we haven't even gotten into the details of the book itself.
And you know, there's a really inspirational you know, motivation
coming out day, so I'm excited to move on. So
with that being said, what's the purpose and outcome? Well,
what do you hope is the purpose and outcome of
the book? Like, what do you hope to achieve?

Speaker 2 (06:00):
You know, the purpose of the book was basically just
to teach about Christ without influencing the reader to change
their whole personality. And what I mean by that, you know,
it's it is not necessary to suddenly change how cool
you are and become dull just to prove that you're
a Christian child, which is what is normally expected in

(06:22):
this world that the miniature are born again. You know,
you have to change your whole persona because at the
end of the day, we know God is just looking
for He's not looking for cool one cool, He's looking
for our hearts. You know to be pure and our
deeds to be good. And also he wants us to
just trust, believe, and have faith in him. So this
book teaches you about Christ and you get to know

(06:44):
that without realizing that. No, I don't need to change
who I am as a person, I mean the character,
my personality, but you can change the bad habits, of course,
you know. And the other aim and the purpose of course,
is that it should boost just half esteem because once
you have the book, you will understand that you are
not the problem. Since the book is very insightful, and

(07:08):
yet it's not heavy or depraising a right.

Speaker 1 (07:11):
So in a way it's postering without you know, actually
going to church type of vibes. I don't know if
I praise that correctly.

Speaker 2 (07:21):
Sometimes you could say that, but you know, when you
say pastoring, then now young people think, oh, it's so serious.

Speaker 1 (07:28):
Okay, yeah, it's not posting.

Speaker 3 (07:33):
It's not posting it.

Speaker 2 (07:36):
It just talks about all you know. Most of the
time we find that, like parents will tell you, oh,
no sex before marriage, but do you even understand what
do it mean? And they just tell us in that
So when you get the book, you'll understand that it's
not about you saving yourself for your partner. It's about you.
The answer is in the book, you know. So I

(07:58):
mean there's thirty three topics, as me if we want
to go through all of this the whole day.

Speaker 1 (08:05):
But yeah, all right, so just along those lines, please
do you explain the layout of the book.

Speaker 2 (08:12):
Okay, The layout of the book is basically those three
three topics. I don't know if you'd want me to
mention a few of them, but I don't think it's necessary.

Speaker 1 (08:23):
But I think I think, sorry, I think if you
mentioned maybe the ones that stand out for you, I
think that will be great as well.

Speaker 2 (08:32):
Okay, so one of the ones that stand out for me,
it talks about haters. You know, we talk about issues
with love and relationships, we talk about social media. In
the book, it talks about learning to actually close the chapter.
You know, sometimes if you're not vibing with friends, it's

(08:53):
time to let them go. You know. We don't have
to fix what does not need to be fixed.

Speaker 3 (08:58):
You know.

Speaker 2 (08:59):
So it's a wide variety, of course, Like I said,
it's sety three, and I'm not going to account them
one by one because the way I've titled them it's
quite creative. Okay it is. So it's those thirty three topics,
and then at the end of each discussion, I leave

(09:19):
a blank space with lines whereby the reader gets an
opportunity to write their prayers, their dreams, their goals and affirmation.

Speaker 3 (09:28):
You see.

Speaker 2 (09:28):
So it kind of acts like a personal journal, which
helps the reader to go back later and see if
what they've written has manifested. Because when you write things
down by faith, I believe they always come true.

Speaker 1 (09:43):
You know, that's very true. And you know when you're
when you're speaking of the of the titles, some of
the love, letting go of haters, I was just saying, oh,
she's speaking my language. I need to get myself this book.
And I know a number of the listeners who are
you know, my age as well, experiencing trouble like with

(10:03):
these topics. And I think that's the cool part about
this book is that it speaks to us youth in
a very direct manner, but an indirect manner as well,
because I'm not going to go around speaking to my
mother about love or you know, haters or letting go
of friends or personally, I'm not going to do that.
So I think I think the book is just you know,

(10:24):
it's a nice way to learn about all this stuff
in a calm manner.

Speaker 2 (10:29):
So yeah, and I also like that it also you
know how as young people would like to read jealous
and stuff like that, it also addresses such issues. Now
we get to understand that, Look, it doesn't matter being
jealous or not. Your destiny is your destiny, So you
don't have to hate on other people. What is meant
for you will come your way, and whether you hate

(10:50):
on that person, you're not going to stop where they're going.
Let's just learn to celebrate each other, because I think
that's what i'd love to see with us young people
celebrating each other basically.

Speaker 1 (11:01):
Yeah, that's very true, and I think I should have
asked this earlier, and you alluded to that a little bit.
But what's your vision for the youth? Like, Like, what's
your actually like aside from the from the book itself
obviously utul inspiration inspiration from your vision, So what's the
actual vision that you have for the youth.

Speaker 2 (11:24):
I'd love to see a purpose driven youth, confidence and
happy youth because our answers are just too depressed and
worn out. Yeah, they have little hope, Okay, and probably
part of the reason is because they are not well informed.
They don't get enough love and attention at home, and

(11:44):
there's not much guidance out there in the world, you know.
So I would like to see those happy, that confidence,
happy youth basically, and of course I'd like to also
see our youth working together. Yes, work together. Let's support
each other, Let's celebrate each help each other way, you know, yes,

(12:05):
help each other away. Please, That's what I'd like to see,
and most importantly, our hope and wish for every young
person to own this book, because definitely it's going to change.

Speaker 4 (12:14):
That, all right.

Speaker 1 (12:16):
Cool, So, talking of owning the book, how do we
cap off a copy of the book? Because you know,
I think that's what most of the listeners have been
waiting for. You know, we want to know how do
we get this book? Is it an ebook? Is it
a hard copy? How much is it? How do we
go about?

Speaker 2 (12:33):
Well, it can't be an ebook because you have to
own the book to write in the book. And right
now it's just newly published. So currently you ordered directly
from me and then I'll career it to you. The
book goes for one fifty and.

Speaker 4 (12:53):
Then from out there it's one fifty and yeah, yeah,
it's one hundred and fifty RN's and you might have
to pay the career prize, of course, depending on So
at this present moment, is it only available in South
Africa or let's say, like I'm in Zimbabwe at this

(13:16):
prison moment, right, can I can I give myself a
copy in Zimbabwe or you know, Botswana, Zambia or whatever
the case is it.

Speaker 2 (13:24):
That's just the ideal situation I wish at the end,
because I just newly published the book, I wanted to
be a footprint of oursatic you know, so you can
get it all right?

Speaker 1 (13:38):
Cool?

Speaker 2 (13:39):
Well make.

Speaker 1 (13:41):
You heard that she will make a plan especially for you.
But just getting back a little bit, I think I
should have asked this earlier. Once again, but how many
books do you hope to write in your lifetime? Because
you spoke about how this is newly published and it's
your first book as well, do you hope to continue

(14:01):
this maybe as a series or write other other books? Completely?

Speaker 2 (14:06):
Definitely, I think I have two more in the works.
I'm busy with the second one, but I won't discuss
it now. So yeah, I will keep writing.

Speaker 1 (14:20):
I just love I love writing. Yeah, now, I do understand.
And yes, listeners, please do get the book. I will
be posting the links on my social pages or contact
details and you guys can speak more, you know, with
relation to how to get the book to your country

(14:40):
if you're not in South Africa. But yes, that's basically
it for the episode. I am so excited, you know,
to be going on this journey the second episode. You know,
it's still early days, but hopefully we continue to grow
as a community and continue to grow as listeners. But
that's basically it for today. And just before we say

(15:04):
goodbye to Gabby, I just want to ask if you were,
If you were, and please do take yourself back ten
years please, but what advice what advice would you give
to the youth? As a mother of kids and a
wife to a husband, what advice would you give us?

Speaker 2 (15:26):
What advice I'd give is don't rush adult thing. You know,
I think young people are so.

Speaker 3 (15:35):
Saved with being too old.

Speaker 2 (15:38):
You know you're going to spend so much time in
your adulthood and your youth should not be wasted, So
spend it well. Do the fun things you love to do.
Don't restrict yourself, don't box yourself. If you you know,
don't be a person that leaves by the rules of society. Basically,

(16:00):
because you're studying a certain carrier doesn't mean that you
cannot be diverse, open your options. If you have options,
do what you love. It's one thing to have a
professional career, but you have to do other things that
interest you, and that's where you're going to enjoy life.

Speaker 3 (16:18):
You know.

Speaker 1 (16:19):
Yes, that's very true, and thank you for that sound advice.
What you basically said and short is yolo. You only
live once, so enjoy the time that we have here.
So yes, you know, I just tried to shorten it.
You know, it's a yolo, especially in these days. But

(16:39):
thank you for coming on. Really, I think the listeners
can see why we got someone above the you know,
the age group. I'm using your words. You know, there
isn't really an age group. Everyone is young at heart, but.

Speaker 2 (16:54):
Everyone is young at hart.

Speaker 1 (16:57):
But hey, people can understand why why you came on,
and I think getting this book is really a step
in the right direction. So please listeners do get in
touch with Gabe. The information once again will be in
the social media platforms, but that is if for today

(17:18):
for this episode. Thank you for joining me. Please continue
to spread this podcast to your family members, to your aunts,
your uncles, your friends. Please do spread the words. You know,
we are growing each and every single day. We're getting
more and more listeners and the goal is to have
thousands and thousands of listeners. So yes, thank you for

(17:39):
that and peace out.
