Speaker 1 (00:00):
Right now on source pages. We're all joining the rebellion
because Cassian and Or inspired us to do so. We
are talking and Or season one and the Cassian and
k twoso one shot comic in preparation for and Or
season two, which starts OMG today when you're listening hopefully,
but first.
Speaker 2 (00:20):
After these messages will be Radick.
Speaker 1 (00:39):
It's time for the podcast.
Speaker 2 (00:43):
Welcome back, my fellow Star Warriors. I'm Brian Klein, I'm
Haley Hobbs, and joining us from across the pond is
James Hewings.
Speaker 3 (00:51):
It's very late here and I'm tired.
Speaker 2 (00:55):
It's never too late to talk the Wars though, either
is why I'm up. And I know I mentioned this
every time I say what I mentioned. The reason why
I like using the term Star Warriors is that's what
back in the Marvel comic days, back in the seventies
is what they would you know how a lot of
times with stan Lee it would be like, you know,
true believers, they're like, welcome back Star Warriors. It's like
(01:18):
it's the lamest name, but it's so like kitchen funny
that it's like you got to use it.
Speaker 1 (01:24):
It is the Star Wars after all.
Speaker 2 (01:25):
That is true. So yeah, it's sort of like our
Like we've said before, that's sort of the Star Wars
is basically how the three of us at least have
solidified our friendship. And actually, I mean Haley and I
relationship pretty much started on because we got yelled at
first spoiling Mando Yep on the chats, and then James
(01:49):
goes way back I mean, and when I mean, he
was basically just known as Yoda Hue to everybody.
Speaker 3 (01:55):
Still am so still but I seem to have many names,
just three.
Speaker 2 (02:01):
Or four of them we can't say on the air though,
because this is a family show.
Speaker 3 (02:04):
So the one, the one we can say is cheesy Beans.
Speaker 2 (02:08):
But no, no, sir, cheesy Beans.
Speaker 3 (02:12):
Don't forget I did. I did forget. I was not
I did. I am now a lord of the realm.
Speaker 1 (02:21):
The realm of beans and cheese. Of course, absolutely absolutely
did anything Star Wars happened recently.
Speaker 2 (02:31):
No, I think they talked about let's see, is there
something called star walking or star Starfighter? Yes, of course,
as Haley said in the intro, we are going to
be covering a season one review, talk about it, and
Cassie and and Or and K two one shot which
(02:53):
I think this might be the first time where we'll
actually see Star Wars stuff that has been because Marvel
Comics is supposed to be Cannon. So in this one
shot they it basically shows how Cassie and n K
two have met. Yeah, yeah, are they going to Is
that going to translate the season two when they are
officially supposed to meet. So we'll find out. We'll see.
But what happened over this weekend was Star Wars celebration
(03:16):
in Japan and they said, well, hundreds some thousand people
showed up there. My friend Barry went there and said
was a lot of the Star Wars related stuff was
kind of you know, Japanese people have a different way
they approach things as far as like applaud Like if
you go, like a lot of times to a movie,
(03:37):
it'll be completely quiet the whole time, and then at
the end if they like it, they'll a rouped like
they won't do a lot of stuff. That's why a
lot of times.
Speaker 3 (03:43):
Kind of movie going experience that's not just Japanese, that's everyone,
but you guys, I not do that.
Speaker 2 (03:51):
So I'd like to see how Minecraft is going on
it because what everyone saw it was like, oh, it
was pretty much like Rocky Horror Pitcher show already and
it has been not like a week but kept worse. No,
but they were just basically saying was that they didn't.
He goes it was weird because the reaction at first
wasn't as he had to get used to the fact
(04:12):
that it's not just always just like the people that
were completely applauding all the time were you know, he
said it was fifty to fifty ugly Americans, well, fifty
to fifty non Japanese and two Japanese. Not just ugly Americans.
There was ugly Brits and Australians and Italians and whatever
we want to call them.
Speaker 1 (04:28):
So nay you sir, Yeah, I should have gone to
Japan like that sounds like my dream.
Speaker 3 (04:35):
It's amazing. I've been to Japan. It's amazing. I was
kind of toying with the idea of maybe going to celebration.
I just could not financially or leave wise make it work.
Speaker 1 (04:46):
That means it's all it's time for all of us
to say for twenty twenty seven, La, Yeah.
Speaker 2 (04:52):
I'm definitely going to that. We already looked and him
put but not a reservation, but as soon as we can,
there's a an airbnb that's only like four miles from
the convention center that'll fit like sixteen people. It's like
twenty five hundred bucks for the four nights. But if
they're sixteen people and there, it ends up being like
one hundred and fifty bucks a person. I'm like, dud's
(05:13):
do it. But yeah, because then that's a four day
one too. But the thing with this was is that
it was really weird because they were doing a lot
of the live streaming. But for us here, especially in America,
it started on because Japan is in the future, so
they were when it started on Friday, like late morning.
(05:34):
It was because I think Japan is about fourteen hours
ahead of us, so it was showing at like it
started at eight thirty pm Central time, so that would
have been like two in the morning for you. James.
Speaker 3 (05:46):
Yeah, I think it was starting here around about one
two o'clock. I because I just I just don't sleep anymore,
so I was up at like four am for you know,
like child related reasons, and I just stuck it on
my and then because I played for Premium on YouTube,
I get it so it plays even if I lock
my screen. So I just had it on like a
(06:07):
podcast for like six hours. I had had it on
in the car. My wife hated it. We drove like
halfway home with it on because we were away that week,
and I was just like, that's what happened. It's not
once every two years.
Speaker 2 (06:23):
Me like, yeah, just roll with it. The thing that
I liked too, was that, you know, it's no, it's
not a secret that Star Wars announcing stuff is about
a fifty percent maybe completion radar stuff they announce. So
but when they had Sean Levy show up and he
(06:43):
announced the name of the movie, which was Starfighter the
Star which I mean, it was the worst kept secret
because everyone knew that he was gonna he was pretty
much done. It was gonna be the next one that
was going to screen. It was the it's gonna start
Ryan Gosling. All this stuff happened. They put it in
and it's pretty much coming out on the fiftieth anniversary
of To Day March or May twenty seven seven, which
(07:07):
will be the day after the fiftieth anniversary of the
original movie. But they're like, it's there's no pre productions
on everything. It's gonna start shooting in September regardless, it's
it's already ready to go. And what do we know
about It's like two years after the end of Skywalker.
It's a standalone. It takes place within whatever they want
to call it now, the New Jedi Order, new Republic,
(07:29):
new New New Republic, or we want to call it that, So.
Speaker 1 (07:32):
Just one new Yeah. I only hesitate at the Sean
Levy of it all, just because I just do. But
you have Ryan Gosling, like, can it go wrong?
Speaker 2 (07:44):
I hope not no. And he's one of those guys
I think that even though what you don't really associate
him with a lot of stuff that is negative. I mean,
even though most people don't realize like that. He came
out of the same camp as Justin Timberlake and Britney Spears.
Interesting he was on the shows with them. Actually, I
(08:05):
think he lived with Justin Timberlake when they were kids,
when they were doing the Mickey Mouse Club type thing.
But he didn't go on that musical side. He went
more to the acting and he's been you know, he
I can't remember the name of the movie he was
in with Russell Crowe that they were both cops and
it was set in the seventies and it is freaking hilarious.
Speaker 3 (08:25):
And he's trying to play what's that the Nightbook?
Speaker 2 (08:28):
No, it's not the no Fun but anyway, he's It
wouldn't be the same thing as like Backer. If you
remember back in twenty two thousand and one when they
were filming Attack of the Clones and they actually shot
scenes in the Genos Arena with in sync being Jedi
members fighting there, which they had to cancel because or
they didn't actually put it in the movie because that
(08:51):
was just a little bit too okay's but I don't
buy it.
Speaker 1 (08:56):
Real it in, real it in, so we don't need
to do I saw that it's based on an old
video game.
Speaker 2 (09:03):
No, okay, there is an old video game called Jedi Starfighter.
Speaker 3 (09:08):
The logo is very similar as well.
Speaker 2 (09:10):
Yeah, it's not a sequel to The Last Starfighter, which
is an awesome movie that came out in the mid
eighties that had one of the worst digital upgrades I've
ever seen in my life. It was just when it
upgraded all the graphic it was so jarring that what
I was watching, I'm like, oh my god, that is okay.
It looked good, but it just didn't look good for
the rest of the movie. But yeah, I'm excited about this,
(09:31):
and I was surprised they didn't announce like the Mangold thing,
which is supposed to be going into.
Speaker 1 (09:39):
Nothing about that, nothing about the Ray movie, right.
Speaker 3 (09:42):
No, they confirmed that they were all still on the
slate and being worked on, but that was as far
as they would go. And actually, I don't I don't
mind them holding back on the announcement and going this
is definitely happening and just for it so then not
or just get stuck in production.
Speaker 1 (09:59):
Per I think it's good to focus on like the
one that'll get a lot of hype because people do
like Sean Leeby's movies. Of course, he's coming off of
Deadpool and Wolverine. And then I don't know anybody who
hates Ryan Gosling.
Speaker 3 (10:12):
No, I've never been that keen on him, but I
haven't also seen him in enough that is non rom com,
so it's and that's just not my thing. So I've
kind of type cast him a little bit in my brain.
I'll give him, I'll give him a fair crack of
the whip.
Speaker 2 (10:28):
So as far as getting him getting into different I
mean Johan Roads stuff. Already he pulled off an amazing
Beavis and that Beavis and butt Head sketch Saturday Live.
So I mean the guys guys to be acting chaps,
So yeah, he does. What else did they talked about?
Dave talked about Dave Aloney talked about Ahsoka season two.
(10:51):
We saw already the new Bailen School, which looks different,
but it's just sort of like we can't do anything
with the guy who actor Ray Stevenson played and passed away.
But they pretty much just said everyone from the crew
of the Ghosts is going to be there.
Speaker 1 (11:11):
That's live so and there's gonna be a big fight.
Speaker 2 (11:16):
Yes, and including Chopper. They said Chopper is getting guns.
Speaker 3 (11:20):
Yeah yes. So I don't know if you guys managed
to see the so the trailer in a it was
just all the concepts are and it's got Chopper with
a mini gun. Yeah.
Speaker 1 (11:32):
I didn't see that. Still, yes, a lot this weekend,
So I didn't see a lot of anything.
Speaker 3 (11:38):
I'm just up here for that.
Speaker 2 (11:40):
But there was also sort of something that leaked that
got tried to put the Kebasha on where they announced
or said that Sam Whitwer is going to be playing
the Sun and then they're like, oh, we can't say
that because he voiced the Sun in the Mortis Trilogy,
and obviously we know that a lot of the stuff
and the season one had to you with we saw
(12:01):
the big sculptures that that's what Bale and Skull want
to look for to find.
Speaker 1 (12:05):
You know, the Yeah, that's not really a secret.
Speaker 2 (12:08):
No, But the fact is that if they actually put
the physical like having them play it, it could be
in flashbacks to that episode, which is weird because I'm
rewatching Clone Wars right now and I actually, right before
I came here, I finished watching the last episode of
the Survivoral Pest trilogy and it started I'm like, oh, man, more,
I got to go record.
Speaker 3 (12:27):
So I watched the Mortis Trilogy at least like once
a year just for just for loving it. I just
love that trilogy so much. I love the law and
the depth they go to with it, and just the
fact that Sam Whitwer as well.
Speaker 1 (12:48):
Yeah, Ann, because there are people who might not. This
is a set of is it three episodes? Yeah?
Speaker 2 (12:55):
Three episodes in the middle of season three of the
Clone Wars, and it's.
Speaker 1 (12:59):
Very deficul fifteen sixteen seventeen. I think, yeah, it's right
in the middle, and it's if you hear people say
they don't do kookie for shit and the Star Wars,
then you've never watched the Bordos arc.
Speaker 2 (13:12):
Yeah, because it's sort of like basically at the end
of it is like did that really happen or did
it not happen or just but it's just so good.
Speaker 1 (13:19):
But it's okay, we won't we won't talk about that.
We'll save that for another day.
Speaker 3 (13:23):
We might need to do an episode on the multisc we.
Speaker 2 (13:26):
Could probably, we could probably do that as like a
primer for season two because I think they lived. They
said they just started filming it, so that should be out.
Speaker 1 (13:34):
I know that Hayden's coming back for that season two,
which yeah makes sense.
Speaker 3 (13:39):
Yep. We cover a world between worlds as well from rebels.
Speaker 2 (13:44):
Yes. Another thing I think that sort of was we
had mentioned it in our little group chat when they
did you guys see the Mando season or the Man
Mandalorian and Grogu trailer that leaked Yep, Okay. The thing
that people have passed over is the fact that they
are flying a razorcrest again.
Speaker 1 (14:06):
Yep.
Speaker 2 (14:06):
They got the ship back, which I freaked out about
a month ago when they released those previous shots for
what they're updating star tours to coincide with me, and
I'm like, uh yeah, okay, there's past been, there's Cloud City,
there's that they're showing a razorcrest again. Guys, it's all
coming full circle.
Speaker 1 (14:24):
Brian.
Speaker 2 (14:25):
Yeah, So it's just like, oh my god. I mean,
that wasn't even every one of these days.
Speaker 1 (14:30):
A hate that they destroyed that ship.
Speaker 2 (14:31):
Like the funniest thing was is that they destroyed that
ship literally like two days after the has Lab, before
that thing funded and it was over, and the next
thing the was like, oh well the ship's not gonna
be answering you mother, this is a family show.
Speaker 1 (14:47):
I remember.
Speaker 2 (14:47):
I know. That's why I didn't say anything further. R.
You're like, well, I guess for him being what he
was doing, the N one star Fighter really didn't wasn't
practical Because we talked about this on that So Weird,
So Fun this past week when we were talking about
our coverage of celebration so far, it's like, you can't
use that for lunch. That's like riding on a cross
country on a motorcycle because there's no bathrooms, there's no
(15:12):
how you're supposed to eat or I mean, grogu is
in the droid compartment the whole time.
Speaker 3 (15:16):
I feel like we've spoken about this before, and probably
I think I came up with the idea of you
just sort of tow them behind.
Speaker 1 (15:23):
You, like all behind.
Speaker 3 (15:26):
Yeah, that waving in the wind.
Speaker 1 (15:31):
Like slightly.
Speaker 2 (15:34):
I always thought that was for the people that have
like the motor homes that they hook up to their
trucks so they could drive. Right, It's like, that's no,
you can't utilize it when you're driving though, if you
have like an actual RV, you're inside that. So the
people that are passengers, can, you know, go use No,
(15:56):
I don't think I'm trying to think of what happened
much on Friday night.
Speaker 1 (16:00):
Quieted down, it quite down a bit. We got the
Loath Kitten reveal.
Speaker 2 (16:04):
Yeah, that was those were looked awesome.
Speaker 1 (16:08):
I am all here for that. I'm gonna sell so
many toys.
Speaker 3 (16:11):
Friday Night of celebration was a whole load of publishing stuff,
So it was just details about the comics and that
already started. But just where they're going, what's happening, Yoda
is going to appear in Edge of Balance, and he
looks awesome in anime film in manga form. Yeah, that
(16:33):
was one thing I clocked. They talked a lot about
Face through the Higher Republic. They spent a lot of
time talking about Light and Magic season two.
Speaker 2 (16:41):
Which I have not gotten yet, which I always it's
three episodes long, but it's pretty much up to current time,
and there's there. They're an hour long though, so yeah,
that's a good three hours of your time. I think
that there was also when they announced it was what
Are the Nights where they announced the The Outlaws Free
elc separate adventure with Hondo and it and Jim Cummings
(17:03):
voice Hondo and did a bunch of stuff. Okay, So
the thing that got me excited though was and I
saw the new game from responding stuff that Zero Company.
I'm like, this looks cool watching all this stuff, and
then I found out it's a turn based game, which
I'm like, I'm not too big of a fan of that. Basically,
it means that you are fighting. You're not fighting and
(17:24):
hitting buttons. You're like waiting for your turn to fight,
which is sort of like the Galaxy Heroes. I think
is like that now or one of those.
Speaker 3 (17:31):
Things like that. So I like that one, all right.
Speaker 1 (17:40):
It does seem like the publishing news was mostly stuff
they've already leaked, not leaked, but like they've kind of
dripped dripped a lot of it.
Speaker 3 (17:47):
So so yeah, they did. They did talk about that
there's going to be a story solely focused on the
Millennium Falcon later this year, which is gonna be pretty cool.
It was the rest of it was just kind of
like there's a new night a friend in the legacy
of Ada comic. They did announce Young Jedi Adventure Season
three coming out later this year as well, which is
pretty fun. And they did also show the sort of
(18:10):
the mock up before the final rendering and skinning of
it of the Boba Fet Cadbane Clone Wars fight, which
never Yeah, that.
Speaker 2 (18:20):
Was the previous of it, which I think I thought
they had shown that before, but it was a different
It was the bulb different, a younger Bulba Fet fight
he had because this was like, go on, adult looking
Boba Fet. Yeah, those previous always make me their funny,
especially when they're talking in their mouths aren't moving.
Speaker 3 (18:35):
Yeah, and they had they were fighting Anakin as well,
which was pretty cool. Yeah, it was sort of clone Wars.
Anakin was episode three Anakin.
Speaker 2 (18:42):
I think it was a little bit end of Chloe. Yeah,
he was starting to get the longer hair a bit.
But speaking of animation, mall shadow Lord, Shuttle Hunter, shadow
Lord Lord. Did you guys see that trailer before it
dropped before I pulled off?
Speaker 3 (19:01):
Yes, I watched that one. I've watched it several times now.
Speaker 2 (19:08):
It pretty much Yeah, I'm not going to read it
here because, like I said, my friend Barry he watched
it and he was like live play by play announcing
what's going on about this whole thing, and it's just
like they did. There's the Shadow Collective is in it,
and like root Cast who was another one of the
baddies and stuff, and then there's like Knight Brothers and
(19:29):
the bridge between Match and Rebels.
Speaker 1 (19:34):
Oh okay, okay.
Speaker 2 (19:37):
And they also said spoiler alert a little bit Merrick
is in.
Speaker 1 (19:40):
It, oh, which is a live Merck or Yeah.
Speaker 3 (19:45):
I think they're confirming him as an actual inquisitor at
this point in time and.
Speaker 1 (19:51):
Stuff.
Speaker 3 (19:52):
Yes, yes, I do too. I think it's set a
year after Order sixty six, and his apprentice potential is
a Pink Twilek who people are speculating maybe Dart Darth Talon.
Speaker 2 (20:07):
Well, that would be kind of a weird plague because
Dark Talon in well the Old Expanding Universe was in
that was like one hundred years after because she was
like in the.
Speaker 3 (20:18):
It was also the plot for a potential Maule movie
where he was running the crime syndicate that he was running,
and Darth Talent was meant to be as apprentice in that.
That was one of George Lucas's ideas. And as it's
Sam Whitwell, what.
Speaker 2 (20:37):
Was the old Crimson Crimson Dark.
Speaker 3 (20:38):
Crimson down that's the one. Yeah, So as it's Sam Whitwell,
who is just a encyclopedia of Star Wars knowledge and
has quite a big voice in the creation of this,
I think there is a real chance that's where he's
gone with it.
Speaker 2 (20:53):
It is on record is that he was the first
one to out Flony Faloney yes about the whole thing
with any can SMI And then he's like no, Dave
Mortis arc Yeah, He's like, uh they met at no,
but he's like, yeah they met in Phantom Menace. Uh,
Padme was at their house, Like, oh yeah, that's right, crap.
Speaker 3 (21:13):
So.
Speaker 1 (21:15):
Moment for Dave Filoni, I'm sure.
Speaker 2 (21:17):
Well, actually that was right, that was I think Widwerd
said that was not like the first or second day
of shooting. Yeah, like for like before he was even mall.
Speaker 1 (21:26):
Yeah, sign was like whoa.
Speaker 2 (21:29):
Like no one's ever done that before. It's like here's
the hat.
Speaker 1 (21:31):
Dude, Pedro wearing Dave's hat. So cute.
Speaker 2 (21:36):
I think for me, the biggest like live because they
didn't do a lot of the panels live streamed. They
were doing a lot with Anthony. I kept calling him
Anthony bordon but it's not Anthony Bordona. That guy's is
Anthony Boordain, the guy that was doing the host of
the celebration stage where he was interviewing all the people.
(21:58):
Well Saturday night so it was last night of the
con is when they had the Vision season three panel
and that one audibly had me gasp out loud twice.
Which was first when they announced it's going back to
pretty much the season one format with all Japanese based
(22:19):
anime studios, and then that also the Ronan One, the
Village Bride, and the Ninth Jedi were getting their stories continued.
That wasn't enough and the thing was when they announced
Visions Presents, which was that they were actually going to
take the Ninth Jedi, which, by the way, that was
(22:40):
it's a toss up between that and the duel that
they call it. I call it the Ronan because I
just finished listening again to the Ronan novel. There were
my two favorites. But that's getting a mini series which
is rumored to be six to eight episodes about twenty
two so it's going to be half a season pretty
much of twenty two minute episodes, so you're gonna get
(23:02):
a lot more of that story fleshed out, because that
was a cool concept too, about like how do they
get there. The thing with that was when they grabbed
the lightsabers, depending on what force abilities they use is
what color of the late So when everyone turned them on,
it's like one green, one blue, all the rest were red,
like these are all bad guys. So that that's getting
(23:22):
And then the thing is, though that's only the first one.
They're gonna do more, so I'm assuming they have that
material already for the dual the Ronan thing. Maybe they'll
continue that thing on too.
Speaker 3 (23:33):
So it was just wouldn't see more of the Twins
from Vision Season one as well. That was that was
just a bit of a wed trip across the weather,
the Linked Star Destroyers, that was. It was. It was
a weird watch, but I loved it.
Speaker 2 (23:48):
I love that one too. But it's sort of like
I was thinking that too, how they continue that because
the way it ended, and it's sort of like, for
the most part with the Visions, there's only a few
of them, Like I don't mind. I I watched like
the Jaba Rocks or one whatever, the one with the
band and they want the one performance type thing. It's
fun enough. It's not one of my favorite ones. But
(24:11):
the lap and Ocho one would have been another one
I would have liked to see continue because I really
loved that one too. So, but but then going back
to doing that is like, okay, and that's coming out
in October. Yeah, the Visions Volume three and then The
Visions Presents comes out in twenty twenty six, so and
(24:34):
I think that was all we had.
Speaker 3 (24:37):
That was the big headlines from it anyway.
Speaker 2 (24:39):
Yeah, I mean, and then that was and then they
announced it. I woke. I was trying to stay away
long enough to see what they were going to announce.
For the next one, but that didn't drop until like
four in the morning, so I'm like, I'm going to bed.
I gotta work in the morning anyway at the Easter
So indeed, I'm trying to s think what else.
Speaker 1 (25:01):
That was it?
Speaker 2 (25:02):
So maybe we get to talking about Cassian and Cassian
and Kate us O A rogue one one.
Speaker 1 (25:14):
Shot mm hmm, A rogue one story Star Wars one
shot story, yes.
Speaker 2 (25:19):
Starring Cassian and Or and Curtis and Rismore, who are
two alien creatures who communicate by scent. It's really weird.
Basically the tale of the tape it was written by
Dwayne Swerzinski. Never heard of that guy before. Dwayne sers
(25:44):
didn't see uh. The people that drew it and did
all that fun stuff were Fernando Blanco, Marcelo Malo and
VC's Clayton Cowells and pretty much it's just the story
of how it's their me cute of them met, which
I don't know. I think what we were discussed him
before we started recording is like, this will be the
(26:05):
first time that they actually take something that is considered
canon and will visually see it and how you know
true they are to it because a few couple of times.
It was like the first time he met him in
this he still told him the odds like you got
like a what thirty two percent chance of surviving, but
I'm still going to kill you. I still have the
(26:26):
urge to kill you right now. And they're like, we
got to keep reprogramming you until you know, you get
it down to like nothing. And then he doesn't remember
who he is. And then he does come back and
then he's sort of like, well, K two still in there,
the wise cracking.
Speaker 1 (26:41):
They do a hard restart of him basically and leave
him off for thirty seconds.
Speaker 2 (26:49):
Yeah, so it's a fun it's a fun little like she's,
like Haley said, like a meet cute of how you
know that they It's one of those things that's still
really weird and interest in watching season one, uh, with
any of this stuff when you and it's a prequel
to something that you already know what happened with like
(27:09):
Road one. You know everyone's gonna be dead, you know what,
we already know their endpoint. So with that being said,
it's the same thing with like the prequels with Anakin
and Obi Wan and Padme and stuff, and a certain
extent like you know how they're gonna or when they're
gonna die. But you know, no matter how many times
(27:30):
Obi Wan is like in Peril or Cassians in Peril,
he's not gonna die. So but it's still the.
Speaker 1 (27:38):
Really takeaway, Like for me, that doesn't really matter as
long as the story is really good.
Speaker 2 (27:43):
Right. It's sort of the the prequels, I think sort
of like numbed it to where it's like, well, we
know this guy. Don't fall in love with this Anakin
guy too much because he's gonna end up becoming Darth Vader.
Speaker 3 (27:55):
So I think with Cassian in particular, it's not necessarily
like you know he's going to get into precarious situations,
just by the line of I've been in this fight
since I was six years old in Rogue one, and
so it's just seeing the journey he's been on, and
(28:16):
because when you first meet him in episode one of
and Or, he is a different character to what you
when you first meet him in the Alleyway and Rogue one,
and it's seeing the development of that character and who
he's lost along the way and gained. In terms of
k Twoso.
Speaker 1 (28:36):
Yeah, I found this rewatch of and Or to be
a lot more emotional than when I watched the first time, Like,
they really hit you hard on some things.
Speaker 2 (28:47):
Yeah, it seems like at first he pretty much just
wanted to be like he especially.
Speaker 1 (28:54):
With Woundrel basically.
Speaker 2 (28:55):
Yeah, and he won all he I mean Ludin when
he said, you're not I don't give a crap about
that Imperial Tie fighter mcguffin. I came here because I
know about you. I want you into this fight, and
he's just like pay me, you know. He's basically is
like a Han Solo. They're a Han Solo and Cassie
(29:15):
and have sort of the same archetypes when it comes
to them, and they don't want to get involved. He
doesn't owe anyone a bunch of credits for dropping the
shipment and stuff like Han did with Java. But he
does not see himself because he's even he's like, what
can one person like this do? What can I do to?
I mean, he's just trying to cover his own ass
(29:37):
pretty much.
Speaker 1 (29:38):
Yeah, he gets in trouble a lot, right. We get
the background that he's been to prison before that he
had to he was basically drafted to fight in the war,
and like so he's like this troubled soul, but he
still gets out of his scrapes all the time.
Speaker 3 (29:56):
And he was he was struggling on Ferris as well,
because when he comes back first all the second time
he following the heist on al Danni, he pays off
all his debts, which total was about twelve thousand. So
it's not the same level as Hahn dropping a shipment
of spice for a hut, but it's he's he's getting
(30:18):
himself into financial problems and sorts that out, and that's
his motivation to just keep his head above watering to
get off Pheryx with with with Marva.
Speaker 2 (30:31):
Yeah, and she doesn't want to like leave anyway. I
mean she's pretty much just like I'm just hoping that
people will be that way. Yeah, they're sort of just like,
you know, she knew that she was in probably knew
a lot more about how that, like her bad health,
and yeah, she didn't want to bring you know, Cassie
(30:51):
and down and it would just be more of a hindrance.
And he was spending most of his time, you know,
it seemed like a way worrying about her. And it's
like she wants him to just be able to have
a little less you know, burden on him, which was
you know, evident when with me and the rewatch too,
which but so two episodes left, but I know how
(31:12):
the end of it is. I watched the fifteen minutes
season one recap too, where it's just like, oh, yeah,
these are high points and then they keep going back
and it was just like, God, I can't believe how,
you know, just I don't know.
Speaker 1 (31:25):
It really hits its stride during the Ald Donnie stuff
and you're you meet Nimic and his like wide eyed philosophy.
But he's so right about why the empire is fallible
and why they're small and what they do is not small,
of course, but why the small act of rebellion will
(31:45):
create a ripple effect that will they can't turn back
from now.
Speaker 2 (31:50):
And the one thing too is I noticed that first
and one of those things I knew but didn't quite remember,
but their little group on al Donnie. First off, you've
got the thing you got, you know, he's part of
that group. And then we got Ben Graham, like what's
the name Ebon Moss rock, right, and then he also
(32:12):
got Miss Belinda Chandra, who is the new companion of
the doctor is in that group too. I'm like, oh
my god, these guys. I totally forgot that these people
this is where I remember them from?
Speaker 3 (32:21):
Too?
Speaker 2 (32:22):
Why their face looks familiar because it's like there've been
there's a lot of the character actors too, where it's
like you you know, it's like, oh, I know who
that guy is. It's like, where do I know him from?
And then it finally hits you, which, by the way,
I always suggest when you're watching a show this happened
to me where it got ruined in Daredevil where you
see and like where I know this guy from and
(32:42):
then you look at him on IMDb and you're like, oh,
that's where I know from. Oh, and now I know
what he's playing in this show, which I didn't know,
which is how I got spoiled with what character Muse
was the actor was playing Muse, because I'm like, oh,
I remember him from Wednesday. Oh crap it just as
he's playing Muse now. And this is like this was
an episode like two of the show, and we don't
(33:03):
really even see me us until like episode like five
or six or four or five, So I don't think
we mentioned it yet. But like the people that have
seen the show are saying that Ander season two and
Er and Or season two, it's like the people that call,
like the Southern people that call the creature that's under
(33:26):
Java's thing, the Ranker, Like he even says rank Or
in the show. But Metacritic has it as a ninety three,
which is almost like a perfect score.
Speaker 1 (33:36):
That's right.
Speaker 3 (33:37):
So it is being as like generational, a generational season
of TV, which I'm really looking forward to, which people
needs it as well at this point.
Speaker 2 (33:49):
Yeah, people compared it to I've already read a couple
of things where it's like Star Wars the movie was
a monumental point in cinema, and then Empire strikes That
came out, which at the time it was one of
those things that was a slow build twenty thirty years
later where people are like, Empire Strikes Back is like
one of the greatest films ever made, where it's like
(34:10):
you could take a almost perfect piece of art and
make it even better. And then so that's what they're
saying right now about and and Or season two. The
one person I did is like you basically, when you
get done with the last episode of episode twelve, you
want to just go in and watch for go on
the right away because it just seamlessly seems to like
(34:32):
flow right into it, which we really knew that that
was how it was going to go, which I think
two is another good reason. The way they're dropping season
two is pretty much we're getting a year arc every week,
so we're getting a movie a week for four weeks
because they saw.
Speaker 1 (34:48):
More than a movie. Did you see the first three
episode run times are all over fifty minutes.
Speaker 2 (34:52):
Yeah, it's basically like a Marble movie a lot. Yeah,
but that's the thing is though, its fun And that's
my Barry who went there, said they only get to
see the first episode, and he goes, man, I'm so
glad not only for just like wanting more, but it's
sort of like it's the story pace where it's just
like I'd love how they could take this stuff into long,
(35:14):
long term format like this. But I also explains why
what do they say both seasons of hand Or combined
are like six hundred and fifty million dollars. Yeah, you
basically made like eight movies almost.
Speaker 1 (35:25):
So, and they did a lot of on location and
practical but that's why it's so good. Yeah, there's no
shade the volume, no shade I mean.
Speaker 3 (35:36):
A purpose, but it does on location.
Speaker 1 (35:39):
Yep.
Speaker 2 (35:40):
No that There are some scenes though where it's just like, man,
I would love to be at that location because it
just looks like it's like imagine being the gun. It
builds some of these sets and it's up for like
two scenes and it takes you months and then they're like, okay,
break it down, Like yeah, seriously.
Speaker 1 (35:56):
Now, Like the Farrick set alone is so cool, and
I would I'm like, I would live on faris it
seems cool?
Speaker 3 (36:03):
I probably wouldn't. It's not enough greenery for me.
Speaker 2 (36:09):
Wasn't a lot of the stuff in season one. I
think even season two was shot in her in nick
other Woods.
Speaker 3 (36:13):
Anyway, Yeah, a lot of a lot of a lot
of Star Wars generally shot over here. I have a
sneaking feeling somewhere in the back of my mind. We
had a little flurry where I work of leasing space
for movies to be filmed on our land, and I
know Wonder Woman eighty four was filmed.
Speaker 1 (36:34):
One doesn't make sense.
Speaker 2 (36:39):
I'll agree with you that movie was that very good.
Speaker 3 (36:43):
I'm fairly sure bits of and Or were filmed there
as well on land that my organization owns, which is
pretty cool.
Speaker 2 (36:53):
The exteriors for El Danni were filmed in glent Tilt,
Glent Tilt, Perthshire, Scotland, and the Scotland Highlands.
Speaker 3 (37:03):
Yeah. Aw, Donnie looks very Scotland.
Speaker 2 (37:06):
Especially the Cruachian Power.
Speaker 1 (37:08):
Station Space Scotland. So I'm just kidding that's where I
would live.
Speaker 2 (37:17):
Actually, yeah, all Donnie seemed kind of, you know, a
lot more uh my type of you know, definitely not
Navana or what was the Nirvana seven. This the Penal Colony, which,
by the way, those those prisons still look freaking cool,
(37:38):
I tell you what though. It still has the three
like saddest words mentioned in a Star Wars property art,
I can't swim.
Speaker 3 (37:49):
I've finished the season earlier before this school, and I
had the tears rolling down at that point.
Speaker 2 (37:57):
It's just like because he was at like, you know,
not only is an amazing actor, but the fact is
that he starts off with us like being like, Okay,
he's the guy in charge, He's responsible for forty nine
other people or thirty nine other people whatever there was.
And then finally when they realized it's like, you know,
one's getting out of here. You're pretty much are it's
pretty much like Logan's run. It's like you hit a
(38:20):
certain point that it's kill you when you know longer useful,
they're not releasing you.
Speaker 1 (38:23):
It's like, well, it'll work you too until you die,
and then once you're dying, it's like, well, off you go.
Speaker 2 (38:30):
Yep, you no longer can build those special pieces for
the exterior of the Death Star, which, by way, that
was a cool shot too when you were like seeing
that pulled off, like oh, this is what they're making
was oh my god, that.
Speaker 3 (38:43):
Was my That was my work whool paper for quite
a while, and it always got a comment of like, oh,
how did what's that from? It's the off the credit scene, Evandel,
And they're like, isn't off the credit scene, Evandal? Yes,
watch it now.
Speaker 2 (38:57):
That's the thing that most people don't realize too, is
that like they only it seems like Star Wars will
do it on their streaming shows like the last episode,
because there's people that didn't watch the end of season
two of Mandalorian they had any idea about the Book
of Boa Fat and Redport, like wait, what the hell
does happen here?
Speaker 3 (39:14):
So and the f Yoda in season two of an
Acolyte show.
Speaker 1 (39:18):
Yeah, oh we didn't talk about that from celebration. Was
that Manny Jsento was there?
Speaker 2 (39:24):
Yeah, yes, that was a really good interview. It was
like overwhelming, Yeah he was. It's it's a that whole
subject is. I would like to see them continue it
some way in live form where they don't have to
make it the accolate, but keep it. I loved his character.
I love the fact that we have the canad Dark
plagis in there. But you know, we could figure out
(39:47):
time to talk about that.
Speaker 1 (39:48):
I want more. That's all mean too.
Speaker 2 (39:51):
I enjoyed it to an extent. I didn't like hate
on it. It does have some weird storytelling things, which
yeah it No, it definitely worked better when I rewatched
it all in one sitting, because that way you're not
sitting there like why are all these witches dead from
a fire that they weren't even involved in. They're not
(40:13):
burnt up. So but going back to what you were
saying about the death Star who were getting in season
two is our very own favorite director Cronic Ben Mendelssohn.
I can't wait for that. Oh my god, he is
such a he plays he's like the I can't even
think who was like the oh Man I can't think
(40:35):
of his name now in the eighties, the one guy
that was like the bad guy in Real Genius, and
then he was also the bad guy in Ghostbusters, where
like he was trying to guy, yeah, Chlas. But Ben
Mendelsson is so good in like Ready Player one as
(40:56):
being the bad guy, and this is being it's just
like he plays such a good bad guy where it's
just like, oh Man, there was so much. I mean,
obviously we're getting excited about season two, but we're still
talking about season one. So what's some other high points
for you, James from season one.
Speaker 3 (41:17):
I've always been fairly openly critical about my not overly
keenness on and Or as a series watching it in
three days, which I did, and I watched it in
four episode bursts, and I just absolutely loved it. I
(41:37):
think it didn't work as a weekly release. It really
hampered the storytelling element to it. And when I could
binge through it, it was fantastic and I was completely
on board. I was completely gripped. I reluctantly was turning
off my source of viewing to go to bed, whether
(41:58):
that be the computer or my tablet. Or whatever, and
I was actually thinking, I can't wait to start this
up the following day, and so I'm really pleased that
they're shifting to the new model for season two. I
think it will work that much better. And high point
for me Marv's speech. I really loved the droid B
(42:21):
two emo. Yes, it was just so.
Speaker 2 (42:26):
There he is in the flesh. So I thought this
guy corded now was like eighty bucks. I bought two
of them though, because he was a Disney Sore exclusive.
Speaker 3 (42:35):
But but yeah, I love I love the droid. Velle
was much better on a rewatch. I found him really annoying.
Luthen's monologue, of course, it's just a classic moment that
I enjoyed in the moment as well, and it just
(42:56):
carried so much more weight this time around. For me,
it was just absolutely fantastic.
Speaker 1 (43:00):
Stalin Scar's guard, Like, who gave him the right to
be so good in Star Wars?
Speaker 3 (43:07):
Who gave I appreciate.
Speaker 2 (43:11):
I'm trying to think of who was the the the
character who pretty much discovered that it was Cassian Cereal. Yeah, crazy.
This dude looks like he's always on the verge of
just losing every tear in his body. He looks like
(43:32):
he's about ready to cry all the time, and.
Speaker 1 (43:35):
So he's just on the verge in general.
Speaker 2 (43:37):
Yeah, it's just like I mean, I guess if that
was the way his mom. Oh my god, she.
Speaker 3 (43:43):
Was the worst thing about the show. I wanted to
I wanted I wanted to hit something whenever she was
on screen. It was so annoying.
Speaker 1 (43:53):
But it's like such a good character tool for Cereal
Cereal because like you you understand why he is so
severe the way he is because he was under her
thumb all the time and then he has to go
back to it and how how demeaning she is to him,
And I just.
Speaker 2 (44:11):
Yeah, she calls in a favor to get a job
after he botches the whole you know Harlow. Yeah, I
love that.
Speaker 1 (44:18):
She's so crazy.
Speaker 2 (44:20):
It's like a were we going to find out who that
uncle Harlow is or whatever?
Speaker 1 (44:23):
No, I don't need to know.
Speaker 2 (44:25):
Maybe it's it's the guy that's the head of the
IB or something like that.
Speaker 1 (44:28):
So so I love the ISB stuff and and or
like on rewatch, I just thought it was really good
and like the you know, the clawing at each other
to get to the top and how cutthroat Dedra is
and she's like, I don't care, and I think that's
gonna bite her and the ass so hard. In season
two when like when Crenit comes around, it's and be like,
I'm sorry, who are you?
Speaker 2 (44:49):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (44:49):
I loved Dedra's entire arc. She was probably my favorite
character from the first watch through, and the thing I
love most about it is she comes across as so
confident and capable, but then when it actually hits the
fan on Feryx, she's she doesn't know what to do.
(45:11):
She'sha yeah, and the vulnerability of her comes out and
it's just played so well, and she's like in so
much shock. She's like, I should say thank you, Like
I know, it's almost like her brain has gone into
functional mode of like someone has helped you say thank you.
We polite. You could tell Sarah was hoping for a
(45:33):
kiss and I'm, oh, yeah, touch again.
Speaker 2 (45:37):
The stuff I love too is like about the the
misogyny in the ISB and it's even more severe for
the fact that it's the Empire where it's just especially
like when they're like she's trying to take control of
the situation on Feryx because or the Cassian thing too,
because of the fact that that it was her piece
(45:58):
that was stolen under her watch. Yeah, the other guys like, yeah,
go ahead and talk to the director, see what happened.
This is my territory step you know.
Speaker 1 (46:08):
Pa, Pa, what's the guy same that's in charge? M hm,
that guy, the old guy like him encouraging their backstabbing
because he's like, I want to see which one of
you has really got what it takes to actually take
over the other person's It just keeps going back and forth,
back and forth.
Speaker 2 (46:27):
Part of gas thank you, and it was the old
part of Guys dies in seasons Sutonomus kidding, that's the
thing too. Don't don't look at Wikipedia because man, I
remember last year or some stuff is like they update
what people are updating it like right when there're stuff's
going on, and so when you go to say, like
(46:48):
what's like wait a second, oh my god. Okay, So no,
don't I don't need to know. So no looking up
stuff on IMDb or no one's looking up stuff on Wikipedia,
because there's this is one fandom where people like to
be up to the second almost.
Speaker 3 (47:02):
Yeah, another thing jumping back to what you said, Brian
about the prison. When they zoomed out, I thought, oh,
they made it in the shape of the imperial emblem
the logo, and I was like, oh, that's really nice
and arrogant of them. That's quite sweet.
Speaker 2 (47:20):
I got like these, uhich.
Speaker 1 (47:23):
Are those credits worth? Are we in the New Republic timeline?
They're worthless?
Speaker 3 (47:29):
You got to take them into the bank and they'll
restamp them.
Speaker 2 (47:32):
It's funny, Yeah, they're And then they got these ones too.
They got these ICCC a couple of years ago. They
were like three months apiece. I'm like, oh, yeah, I
don't use them for much, but it's cool to have
like imperial looking credits here.
Speaker 3 (47:44):
So I will just say imperial money is really impractical,
Like Cassian had to carry his round in a suitcase
m h.
Speaker 2 (47:54):
And then it was still around when you got out
of prison.
Speaker 1 (47:57):
If you go get a gold you know, ounce or whatever.
That's exactly what they look like. Yeah, it's just like
I did love the robbery scene, like they have them
all stacked up on those little roller things. I'm like,
oh god, my OCD loves this. And then when they.
Speaker 2 (48:09):
Fall and then.
Speaker 1 (48:11):
I know exactly and then they crushed IMIC and I'm like, ah.
Speaker 2 (48:16):
So when about a few months ago, I think Haley
and I talked about it a bit on YouTube. They
had Tony Gilroy on and he was watching some episodes
and talking about like, uh, he was doing more of
a this is what happened at this shot and give
me a little bit of backstory, especially how they were
planning on and or being five seasons, one pre each
(48:39):
year leading up to it, and then the pandemic hit.
And then also they were like, is there any way
we could get out of this bit, maybe only make
it two seasons, And then that they gave him the
storyline of what's going to happen for this one, which
was fine. I'm curious as too. He did say recently
that one of the scenes at the end of this
(49:00):
links up a lot with Rogue One, but they had
to recast a legacy character because the person who is
known for playing this character was not available. And to me,
I'm thinking, obviously we're not gonna see Generous or at all,
because that story literally starts at Rogue one. It might
(49:21):
be obviously we have man mathma, would it be? I
mean obviously talking no, no, no, no no. They said
that these these the actor wasn't available because they were
filming something.
Speaker 1 (49:36):
So those guys they were portrayed by actors technically, No,
I think he was saying more like it might be
like General, who was one of.
Speaker 2 (49:49):
Those ones where he was he was the one that
was basically telling Cassie and go ahead and kill you. So,
but that would be one as long as that's someone
that looks to it. It's sort of just like or
they could even just.
Speaker 1 (50:02):
A legacy character. Character that's not a legacy character then, right,
that would have to be something from the ot That's
what I would call a legacy character. I am I wrong.
Someone will tell me if I'm wrong, trust me.
Speaker 2 (50:18):
Yeah, I'm trying to think.
Speaker 1 (50:21):
Legacy character means they were in the original trilogy.
Speaker 2 (50:24):
Okay.
Speaker 3 (50:24):
I would think it probably extends to the prequels now
at this point in time, seeing as we've got the
twentieth anniversary of Revenge of the Sith.
Speaker 2 (50:31):
True, I'm going to see it on Friday and Saturday.
Speaker 3 (50:34):
I am going to book my ticket for hopefully Friday tomorrow.
Speaker 2 (50:39):
What about Jimmy Smith, Bill Logana. I mean that I
could get it could be a scene where some of
these characters were I don't think it would be. I
don't see any of the characters being that super important
that they need to have them. Obviously, we got Genevieve
ol Riley, who's playing my Mathma in the show already,
and that's probably the most pertinent one. Maybe it's what's
(51:00):
his face, I'm thinking it was. We couldn't get the
guy that Cassie and killed at the beginning because his
arm he couldn't climb fast enough and he was gonna
get caught by the store. It's like, I think you
could get any curly hair, you know, just leave.
Speaker 3 (51:18):
It with him running into the alley and just cuts black.
It'll be fine. We know what happens.
Speaker 2 (51:22):
We can just literally shot from the back and then
takes some unused footage from Rogue one and.
Speaker 1 (51:27):
I I go towards Tarkin only because like critic's gonna
be there, and of course we know that they have
a rivalry. So yeah, that's my gas. I'm putting my
credits on the table.
Speaker 3 (51:39):
Wasn't there an issue with the talking with the talking
his state with the Cushing estate following Rogue One?
Speaker 1 (51:46):
I don't know.
Speaker 2 (51:47):
I don't think I think people were bringing that up.
They're like no, the Cushing of State fully cleared everything,
which is now where they went and got clearance far
you know, the fish carry Fisher's of State, James Earl Jones,
everyone right now they breed. You're like, we're not going
to you know, although like in Rise of Skywalker, the
conversation where she was having Ray and Leo was like
(52:08):
they were just using the existing footage and it was
the weirdest conversation, like yeah, okay, give you use something else,
but it was so kind of funny. But the fact
is that they got ahead, went ahead and got all
of these clearances, saying if we need to use you
in something, we're not gonna flat out go. We're not
going to have a new movie come out where all
it is is James Earl Jones's recordings for Darth Vader.
(52:31):
There's enough people out there that could get it close
enough to be that that's fine, But it's just like
if they need it for something. Although there was something
I remember the first time when James Earl Jones's voice
came out in episode one of Rebels, I thought it
sounded too it was too slow and too was the
It didn't sound the same because obviously this is thirty
years later since he said something you know about.
Speaker 1 (52:52):
The whole, it's like a lot deeper. Yeah, So well,
the reality is it could be any character. Really, it
could be Yeah, it could be Chewbacca, it could be
could I Soil Gerrera?
Speaker 2 (53:07):
No, I think I think Forrest Whitakers in the he's
in season two, so so excited from her Saw. Yeah,
I enjoyed the soul. Yeah, especially that that whole ruth
having him. Okay, so when there was that one the
scene in season one where the their mole in the
(53:29):
ISB tells that they know about this raid, Lenny and
then Saws talking with Luthian being like, if we pull,
it's gonna tip them off. We know that we know
about that that's going on. So this old tip off
that we have a mole and Saw was the one
that was like the voice of reason go like is
(53:49):
it worth sacrificing these people for that? And like hell yeah,
like sacrifice.
Speaker 1 (53:54):
Interesting, Well, it's a different Saw than the Saw we
know from like Rebels, even right, he's not maybe he's
not quite to that extreme even in the mask offere
I don't know, if you both finished reading that, you
get a less extreme version of okay, well, sorry, you
get a less extreme version of Saw and that's okay.
Speaker 2 (54:12):
You want to big spoiler at the end of that,
which I'll never not see now or hear, is what happens? No,
what happened with mon Mathma. So now every time we
see her in these prequels and stuff, we find out
that she's part cyborg because she's got like her stomach
was blown out. Remember when the bomb went off at
the end of Mask of Fear, So she has all
these like mechanical people. So I'm sure if people have
(54:37):
wanted to read Mask Fear, they would have read it already.
But that was the most like end of Eluded. Well
James said he doesn't care he got spoiled.
Speaker 3 (54:48):
I apparently speak for everyone.
Speaker 1 (54:49):
Sorry, okay, spoiler alert and fifty.
Speaker 2 (54:55):
Minutes to take a look at spoiler alert. Mon Mathma
hass robot parts iner because he a bomb blew.
Speaker 3 (55:02):
Up in order for like it was actually Finnix shanned.
Speaker 2 (55:07):
I tell you that book did get The first half
of it was so blase, it was so much it
got it got so much better this last like twenty
five percent of it, So yeah, it's.
Speaker 1 (55:23):
A good one. So anyway, yeah, I do love that scene.
All of the looten scenes are good. All of the
looten scenes are good. How fast is he going to
be taking off the map in season two? What do
you think predictions? Let's speculate.
Speaker 3 (55:37):
I reckon by the end of the first three episodes.
Speaker 2 (55:41):
Okay, I'd say the let's see, because if they do,
each week is three episodes and each week is one
year gap, like it jumps a year. I'll say it'll
be at the end of like an episode five or six, So.
Speaker 3 (56:00):
I reckon it will be k K two. So he
does it as well.
Speaker 2 (56:04):
Nice, nice, and he'll be like, I don't like your
wig when you be trying to pretend to be when
you're in Coruscant. That hair looks weird. I must kill you,
I'll say.
Speaker 1 (56:14):
He makes it almost through the third arc, hmm, so
that we have different viewpoints and somebody can be right
and somebody can be.
Speaker 3 (56:23):
Wrong, and told by process of eliminations the Lost three episodes.
Speaker 2 (56:30):
He'll actually be there. In Rogue one, he's in the
but he's it's it's it's a tagging being type thing
where he's always just off to the side.
Speaker 3 (56:41):
You just say him every now and again, just still
doing the weird in the background somewhere.
Speaker 2 (56:47):
Yeah, like why not shout out?
Speaker 1 (56:48):
You just have and be like, no, see that guy
that kind of looked like Stalin Scar's guard. That was him.
Speaker 2 (56:55):
He was off to the side. He he doesn't want
to be part of the uh like the main rebellion.
But speaking of that, as I also heard a rumor
that and James you'll probably enjoy this, is that there
will be a new character introduced named garbel Ibliss for
the Rebellion, which ties in huge with the Throng trilogy.
(57:18):
And he was It was my mouth my garbel Ibliss
and Bail were like the big guys that did the
whole rebellion in the the EU, especially like all the
I just got done. I reread the Throng trilogy and
then I got done with the first Specter of the Past,
and it was just like that he is, that's always
(57:41):
such a cool character. So if they bring him into
like live action and canon, it's like, oh man, they've
already got pretty much everyone from there except for Mara.
Speaker 3 (57:50):
I just want some big name drops in season two
as well. I want I want to throw on mention.
I want a Patton mentioned I want. I just want
some sort of name drops, like some projects as well,
Like we've got Stardust obviously, we know that one.
Speaker 2 (58:04):
Operations Crusher, they start bringing out all these other like
big projects that they have in the works.
Speaker 3 (58:13):
Yeah, and we we just need to see we need
some more Easter eggs in Lutheran's shop as well. For
the first two episodes, before you.
Speaker 1 (58:24):
Any player betrays him, I could see she's kind of sneaky.
Speaker 3 (58:30):
Yeah, and she's quite critical of him towards the end
of season one as well, thinks he's getting and.
Speaker 2 (58:37):
Yeah, I think her and Bell are going to get
into a big old fist fight, like.
Speaker 3 (58:43):
Through the different levels of corus On go full Peter Griffin.
Speaker 2 (58:49):
Are you just seeing them in the background in some
scenes they're still going?
Speaker 1 (58:55):
Is Aura saying still around in this at this point
in time? Be killed it?
Speaker 3 (59:00):
She should still be around.
Speaker 1 (59:02):
She could coming down. That would be badass. Maybe she
takes out Luthen that's my fault.
Speaker 2 (59:09):
Fair fair like a young Boba or some of the.
Speaker 1 (59:15):
I don't want no offense, but I'm danger. I don't
need in this.
Speaker 3 (59:20):
The Mando and Grego movie.
Speaker 2 (59:23):
Oh Embo, that'd be cool. Oh Embo would be cool
any of those. I still again, that was one thing too,
just a little bit of a side tangent watching the
Clone Wars. How did they not like the next time
anytime they saw Hondo that they did not just arrest
him for the crap he was doing. He was always
just sort of like the oh sorry, yeah, you know,
they could kidnaps the Jedi and when they go to
(59:44):
get their kyber crystals, and then he's always a thorn
in their side and doing illegal stuff, and then he.
Speaker 3 (59:50):
Like them, he always comes good, he always comes. Well,
bring Hondo into it. I'm desperate for a live action Hondo.
Speaker 1 (59:57):
I know.
Speaker 2 (59:58):
Yeah, me too.
Speaker 3 (59:59):
Should Still, we'll see him.
Speaker 2 (01:00:01):
I think we'll see him in If we don't see
him in Rogue one, we'll see him in Ahsoka season two. Yeah,
because well we don't know how long. What's the Well,
that's true because they do have him spectacally Cannon in
the Galaxy's Edge stuff, which takes place right around that time.
Speaker 3 (01:00:19):
So yeah, we know he makes it to the sequel trilogy.
Speaker 1 (01:00:23):
True. Side note, I'm reading Black Spire, which is actually
like a continuation after FAsMA, and it's really good.
Speaker 2 (01:00:31):
Really, I've read that that was Alexander Freed, wasn't it.
Speaker 1 (01:00:34):
No, it's Delilah Dawson. Okay, Delilah s d excuse me,
So had to plug that. It's real good enjoying it.
Speaker 2 (01:00:44):
Anything else we got to do before we hit the.
Speaker 1 (01:00:49):
I think the bottom line here is that we are
not even looking forward to and or season two. So
are you listen to an hour I was talking about that?
Speaker 2 (01:00:59):
JK. Yeah, I did once mentioned that Star Wars is
my wheelhouse, so well I did. Oh no, jame Z,
as soon as we see something. Okay, noways back. Did
you studio computer or your manager or your camera after
you disappeared for a second.
Speaker 3 (01:01:15):
No, I didn't. I might have just tried to go
to sleep though.
Speaker 2 (01:01:19):
Okay, which is fine. He didn't. It didn't break up
the recording, so we're good. But James plug away. This
is the power strip spot.
Speaker 3 (01:01:29):
So I host the Star Wars Universe YO Universe podcast
and YouTube channel which the podcast is focused on what
myself and others are doing in the world of Star Wars.
Every month, there might be some changes to the podcast
where that sentence changes a little bit. In the next
few months, I'm trying to figure out how to break
(01:01:51):
it up and split it out over the month, so
it's a bit more regular. It won't change hugely from
the current format. It might just be broken up spread out.
But the YouTube channels perfection right, wow, No, you just
spread it out like Butter. I'm not sure where I
(01:02:12):
was going with that.
Speaker 2 (01:02:13):
Really, like Butter.
Speaker 3 (01:02:15):
Yeah, I became serious, Mum, didn't I? And the YouTube
channel yeah okay. YouTube channel focuses on the trading card
game style was unlimited, as well as some videos which
I've got in the pipeline for some fantastic things I've
(01:02:37):
been picking up recently. So the best thing to do
is head over to the YouTube channel and hit subscribe
for me over there, and if you're actually interested in
watching my videos, feel free to tick the bark on
as well.
Speaker 2 (01:02:49):
Just speaking of the man, I got that Grown in
Black series figure I already got up. It is one
of the most beautiful things I've.
Speaker 3 (01:02:55):
Ever seen in my life.
Speaker 2 (01:02:56):
It looks like a side show. It's actually pretty easy
to do since the character and the droid are in
black and white in the the animation, so it's that way,
but just the box and everything, it was like, oh
my god. Originally it had listed at sixty nine ninety
nine or one hundred and five thousand yen. One hundred
(01:03:19):
five thousand yen right now translates into one hundred and
one dollars. So when Barry messaged me and my buddy
Jimmy Mack and he was like, yeah, do you still
want it, I'm like, not for that much. And then
literally the next day it was like up on the
celebration store on Amazon. I ordered it on Friday and
I got it on Saturday. They still have some actually
(01:03:41):
that part sold at already, but any of the shirts
and stuff like that, go to Amazon dot whatever, Colm
dot eu, whatever, Star Wars, and it takes you right to.
Speaker 3 (01:03:50):
The only dot com. I checked to the UK store.
It doesn't exist.
Speaker 2 (01:03:54):
Oh it doesn't, okay, So they do have hopefully it
might go down and p their official is only it's
only fifty bucks, which isn't terrible for nowadays, but it's
got some cool man. If you saw some of the
celebration like Thepaget dot badge artwork, oh my god, they
were beautiful. I've always loved that Japanese style of like
(01:04:15):
art where it's just it's very flowing to me. And
so anyways, okay, Well, people want to get ahold of us?
How can they do that? Hayley, Yep.
