Speaker 1 (00:00):
Right now on Source Pages Edna.
Speaker 2 (00:02):
There's no capes, but we're all about capes because we're
talking about the character the Hood for our Ironheart primer.
Speaker 1 (00:08):
But first.
Speaker 2 (00:11):
We'll be right.
Speaker 1 (00:31):
It's time for the podcast. Welcome back, my fellow goons.
This is Brian Klein, this is Haley Hobbes, and this
is the return of Source Pages, where we read comics
and novels as primers and other good stuff for all
the geeky TV shows and movies that you love. And yeah,
it's been a while. We took our summer vacation a
(00:53):
little early and it was needed. We had a lot
of just see schedules for everything, kids, vacations, time off.
We needed to it just like stuffing. Not that there's
no content. There will never not be any enough content
for up to cover on the show, but it's still
a matter of sometimes it just it has to real life,
(01:17):
you know.
Speaker 2 (01:19):
And we didn't get any sad where are you letters,
so we hear you, we get it, but we're here anyway,
get over it.
Speaker 1 (01:26):
I think we did have a couple of people maybe
say well, Karen would normally say something like, hey it's Tuesday,
where's an episode, But since she's part of the podcast
group in the sense would be like, oh, yeah, we're
taking some time off. Don't worry about it. We've got
things because we really haven't done what we look, we
haven't done a regular podcast on source pages in a month.
(01:47):
We have done a primer in two months because we
had a lot of the Doctor Who's stuff going on,
and even that was a you know, a struggle to
try to get the stuff done.
Speaker 2 (01:55):
But yeah, we did it.
Speaker 1 (01:57):
We're popular. What can we say. That's what happens when
you've got a lot of like I was gonna say
balls in the air, but I don't like using that
analogy because it can get thrown back in your face.
Not moving on, get a lot of irons in the fire. Yeah,
it's been I mean, I'm trying to think too, because
(02:19):
we've been talking a lot with our Sacred Jedi text
and about the end of the High.
Speaker 2 (02:26):
Republic to a Phase three recap. I can't believe it.
Speaker 1 (02:30):
Yeah, that last I'm trying to look. No, that can't
be okay. Our last was to look for time. James
are in here. It's been three months since we've did Deceived,
so I think Fatal Alliance was next. And then we'll
probably do a I didn't think after that, we'll do
a high Republic phase three. Overall, no thoughts of it
(02:53):
now that it's over, and the bad points, the good points, the.
Speaker 2 (03:00):
Fact you know, it was like, huh, yeah, it's you again.
Speaker 1 (03:06):
I have enjoyed some of the stuff. That that's the thing,
that's the way it used to be back in the
old EU. Now legends is that there were a lot
of events, not a big crossover comics all multimedia thing
where like we had discussed in our chats today, is
that sometimes it could be overwhelming and confusing because you
can't just read the adult novels because there's only like
(03:28):
three in each phase, and it doesn't fill in all
the gaps. All of a sudden you're like, wait, where'd
the drinker go? Okay, why are they back? Oh wait,
who are these nameless? Wait? What's this the plague thing
going around? Now? Well, they explained. Actually, I think the
things that's a little more cohesive, the young adult novels
that have been the most I would say consistent, but
the ones that are the least like because I think
(03:50):
I remember telling you is that the one first novel
that came out in phase three. I had to listen
to it like five times because I kept like missing
big chunks when I was listening and going like, my god,
what's going Okay, so the they're expanding the exclusion zone
and that's wait, what just happened? I'm trying to think.
I'm like, I couldn't give you a good recap of
(04:11):
what happened because I couldn't remember.
Speaker 2 (04:13):
I do think like Charles soul who I would, He's
like what, he's the author of the High Republican General.
I think yet him and Cavin Scott and a bunch
of the others, like I do think he tied it
up in a fairly satisfying way.
Speaker 1 (04:28):
Have you finished trials or yes? I started that conversation. Okay,
that's why I was working today. I haven't even started it.
I got it last Tuesday and it was going to
start it, and then something happened. And then it's like
I didn't want to wear my because when I usually
do it at work, I'll wear my my wrap around earbuds.
(04:52):
But it's been so unbelievably hot here like the last
I mean, did yesterdays feel like? Temperature was a hundred
and twelve and The only thing that was saving us
a bit was the fact that it was winds of
like twenty twenty five miles an hour. But when those
winds die, it's like you're literally in like a like
a blast furnace. It was just so move to the Midwest.
(05:16):
It's fun here. Yeah, and then we get the exactly
no wonder why our infrastructure sucks. I've said it before,
I'll say it again. No other area has like we have.
You know, feels like temperature of one hundred and twelve
and then in the winter time feels like temperature of
negative forty, so one hundred and fifty degree difference. Roads
are not meant to designed to take that much degree
of temperature difference, right, So yeah, you go out to
(05:40):
San Francisco and it's like, oh, average highest seventy eight,
average low was like fifty five, Like that's twenty three degrees.
It doesn't change. The weather doesn't change there, So it
doesn't change anyways, anything major, major, major, that's popped up
in the last since we've talked that we need to
get out of the way. It hasn't already been beaten.
Speaker 2 (06:01):
It dead.
Speaker 1 (06:01):
I did like your response to Andre Sparks about the
New Fantastic Four trailer dropping, and I go I stopped
watching it after like trailer, like we went last one.
I forgot what the last movie I saw in the theater?
Maybe was it? Was it Thunderbolts or was it something
after Thunderbolts where we watched it? And then there was
a New Fantastic Four trailer and I'm like, oh, I
(06:22):
haven't seen this one. And then now it's like there's
two more for it and another TV I'm like, just
let me watch it. I don't need to know anymore.
I'm done.
Speaker 2 (06:29):
I don't know who's cutting their trailers and like who's
in charge of their trailer marketing, but.
Speaker 1 (06:36):
They're not doing it right.
Speaker 2 (06:38):
They need to stop because it's I know they're trying
to get people in the theaters, but I just feel
very strongly that if they would keep more back, the
word of mouth will be better marketing than anything they
can turn out from their marketing department. So anyway, yeah,
I just had to. I was like, yeah, we don't
care about that trailer.
Speaker 1 (07:00):
One whatever it is exactly like it's coming out in
a month. I'll let me be surprised there, I get it. Yes, yeah,
you don't have to sell them anymore. In this movie
I do love, even though I don't collect them. The
battle between AMC and Regal theaters for popcorn buckets nowadays.
(07:20):
Have you seen the Fantastic four one right, and then
there's one of the three. I think that's AMC, and
then the Regal one is Galactus. Which is this the
Glactus one? It's first off, it's eighty bucks, but it's
like twenty I don't I haven't gotten a single popcorn.
Speaker 2 (07:39):
Buckets anything, and put all of your other galactus, your
Galacti in it.
Speaker 1 (07:44):
They well, that thirty eight inch one I have is
not going to fit in that.
Speaker 2 (07:49):
One eating like put his arms and like he's eating
popcorn out of himself.
Speaker 1 (07:55):
Uh, some of these ones, they're doing it for like
every movie now, and it's some of it's just like
we need to have a twenty it's like twenty eight
days or twenty eight years later had one and it
was like this thing isn't even a functional bucket because
it's sideways and stuff falls out of it. It's like
or one of these ones I saw, but it's it's
funny watching it and then people freaking out over like
(08:15):
not being able to get it.
Speaker 2 (08:16):
And I do wish I'd gotten the Mission Impossible one
because it came with the key. That's there's this key
in the movies. That's the whole thing. It's a mcguffin.
But and the key was like actually metal, and I
was like, oh, that would have been cool, but not
like enough for me to go back and actually get it, because.
Speaker 1 (08:34):
We get that thing where we anytime we go to
AMC here we have our own refillable bucket. Plus I'm
with BB and a stumps member subs member. It's only
like we go there and have two popcorn buckets and
it cost us like eight bucks.
Speaker 2 (08:46):
So I just have a small popcorn for free. Oh
points Regal whatever their thing is.
Speaker 1 (08:55):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (08:55):
I was gonna go see the Pedro Chris Dacota movie
this weekend, but then my friends invited me outside did
that stuff. So I haven't seen anything since I saw
I went to some movie probably Mission Impossible.
Speaker 1 (09:10):
Yeah, yeah, because what's been coming out? How I How
I Met your How I made your Dragon, how I
how to Train? I was like, that's right, how I
met your uh what else?
Speaker 2 (09:23):
Leelo and Stitch, and yeah, that has been doing very well.
Speaker 1 (09:27):
I'm really getting excited that. I think in a couple
of weeks The Sinners is going to be on HBO Max.
I haven't seen that yet.
Speaker 2 (09:34):
No, it's really good.
Speaker 1 (09:36):
I heard it. It has like a it's like a
combination of like Dust Told Dawn combined with like it's
like a nighttime vampire hunter type comedy action thing. I like,
oh my god, why am I? I was gonna say
ton of Hassey Coats, But he's the guy that wrote
Black Panther Run, Ryan Coler, Ryan Coogler, Ryan Coogler, Yeah,
(09:58):
of course it's Ryanger. You gotta think. Yeah, any movie
that's got Michael B. Jordan and it's probably directed by
Ryan Coogler, Right, So it's like Timber, it's really good. Cool,
trying to think what else? Nothing where you talking about
we've been talking about and or already I've rewatched it
(10:21):
again because it's it's it still makes me I'm you know,
it's that episodes on Gorman and the episode where my
Mothmub was being taken out of the Senate still get
me like like anxious and on my it's just it's
amazing that and then Tony Gore coming up and seeing
(10:43):
some of the stuff that he didn't use or put
in there. It's like, oh my god, it could have
made like season three year season two, like another arc.
Speaker 2 (10:51):
So but yeah, I would like to see more from
him in Star Wars. However, you and I talked a
little bit about like the discourse online about people who
are like, oh, let Tony Gilroy do everything, and it's like, no,
not everything, because that's not what Star Wars is supposed.
Speaker 1 (11:10):
To be about. Star Wars by all means, yeah, there
is a difference between what Lucas did and what you know,
John and like Dave and John are doing, and then
what Tony's doing it you don't want I like. I
like that. It's not like you need to have everything
(11:31):
being the same flavor Marvel if it wasn't for the
overarching theme of whatever the theme at the time is,
like the over like the through line. A lot of
that stuff, like ant Man doesn't fit in the same
genre as Winter Soldier other than the being superheroes. On
was a comedy. One's a you know, a spy thriller, and.
Speaker 2 (11:51):
It seems to look at the rebellion through this lens
of like real world effects and what it would be
like to actually be in this militant force, like I
don't know, I'm here.
Speaker 1 (12:03):
For all of it, right, And I actually like with
the Alexander Freed the New Rena of the Empire books,
as you're getting the thing from, you know, the opposite
point of view from the Empire, because you know, we
see it from a certain lens. I don't mind seeing
things from another person's point of view as long as
it's not distorted. And you know omissive you mean, is
only a certain point of view? Well that too, yes,
(12:27):
is omissive a word omissive Like they're like omitting stuff
that's not there, you know, sort of like how I
was talking with some of my friends about how then,
like you know, what's it? History is written by the victors.
That's why we didn't know about the Tulsa massacre in
black Wall Street and all these other things that we've
had to learn about with the current media the last
(12:48):
ten years because omissive. Okay, cool. Anyways, the word of
the day is omissive.
Speaker 2 (12:59):
So iron Heart if it wasn't iron Heart's coming out, Yeah.
Speaker 1 (13:06):
It'll be out tomorrow, yay. Actually didn't even think about
it too when we were talking about our scheduling we
got to do our iron Heart review in comparison, because
that'll be like in two weeks too, because it's only
there's a deluge. This is how it always is.
Speaker 2 (13:18):
There's like this little break, and we like it was
fine that we took a break because we could.
Speaker 1 (13:23):
And now it's like, yeah, we got Superman, we got
Fantastic four, we got an Iron Man, We've got you know,
primers for those who.
Speaker 2 (13:30):
Are reading a Jurassic Park novel.
Speaker 1 (13:32):
Just kidding. And right now this as we speak, we
are recording our one ninety seventh episode, and so we're
gonna be doing something for two hundred in a couple
of weeks. But we some completely figured it out yet,
but you know, stay tuned for that, so it'll be
a thing. But in the meantime, we will be talking
(13:53):
about what of my overall I've loved this character for
so long, and the hood is going to be one
of the I've stayed away from so much information about
Iron Heart series just to come into it with the
fresh eyes, even though it's pretty much set in my
(14:13):
hometown Chicago and suburbs, and I know people that are
just like, oh, you're not from Chicago, You're not well
you know what, if I could get to the downtown
in twenty minutes from my house, that true area, get
over it. But I am in the suburbs. Yes, but
Chicago suburbs is gigantic, but I lived twenty minutes from downtown.
(14:34):
But anyways, Parker Robbins was the Hood is the Hood.
I do like this run too, because I've always been
intrigued with the Dark Rain. We covered something for Dark Green.
Speaker 2 (14:45):
One of the we did a secret no, not secret,
I don't remember what it was, but yeah, we've we've
delved into it a little bit and we've talked about
a little bit.
Speaker 1 (14:57):
But for those who.
Speaker 2 (14:59):
Might be listening to us for the first time, what
is Dark Rain?
Speaker 1 (15:04):
Dark Green? Was this? Basically, Norman Osbourne connived his way
into running the Avengers and being in charge, and his
underlings were like, we get to see and this story.
One of them is the Hood, who I've always thought
it fascinating where you kind of make the choice, like
his name is Parker Robbins. So when they did the
(15:26):
Infinity Warps, why didn't they make, you know, Spider Hood
be Peter Parker Robbins and just combined them because they
there's marble there's a lot of things where.
Speaker 2 (15:35):
Someone Peter Parker robins Hood, Well that.
Speaker 1 (15:39):
Could be too and hey, there you go robins Hood.
So I never thought of it that way. But he's
pretty much just a random guy that we find out,
you know, in this how he gets his powers and
what's his powers? What his powers is. I don't think
his main power line is is the same throughout his
whole I don't think so. I think it's special and
(16:00):
run of Dark Rain, right because it's very much pertinent
to a certain character that we all know, maybe don't love.
But anyways, we're going to be covering the five issue
run of Dark Rain. The Hood written by Jeff Parker
and art was mainly done by Frank Martin and Dave Sharp,
and it came out in May of two thousand and nine.
Speaker 2 (16:20):
No, so, those guys did not love the artwork, except
for the covers. Were they Alex Ross covers?
Speaker 1 (16:26):
I think so?
Speaker 2 (16:28):
They?
Speaker 1 (16:28):
Yeah, the art I should have looked that up. The
artwork was a legit, but at least it was one
of those things where you could differentiate between the characters
in this one sometimes style.
Speaker 2 (16:39):
When we read these comics from the early aughts like this,
like they all have this very distinct style, kind of
like comics in the nineties do, and I don't like it.
Speaker 1 (16:49):
Yeah, it's not like they do. Sometimes they have that
avan guard like very angular type things, which this wasn't.
This was very well drawn as far as is you know,
like everything is well, it was not as much because
especially if they do like a fire shot, some of
(17:11):
them look like, yeah, if you zoomed in on it,
it's just like that's not a human face. But that's
not what they're trying I mean they're trying to do.
Speaker 2 (17:19):
But anyways, the cover art was by Marco Jerjovic Alex Ross,
but very Alex Ross esque. I Will says.
Speaker 1 (17:30):
Yeah. So the first issue is called Payday, and it
just basically starts off with someone is tracking the Hood
because it doesn't make it known at first that people
know who the Hood is, who a secret identity is,
because pretty much it's just a dude that's wearing this
red cowled hood like cape. So then we go to
(17:54):
Central Park where a crew is there and it is
basically it's his crew, which is his cousin John Griffin
Thunderball Wrecker, pile Driver, Bushwhacker, Griffin Crossfire they're all scoping
the route of something that's going on, and it's the
Sultan and Sultan of Brunei his nephew. He was embarrassing
(18:17):
himself by having an orgy in the Brunei embassy or something,
and so they're like, yeah, you gotta you gotta come home.
People doing lines. That's very funny. Yeah, it's very fun Yeah,
I mean, nothing enough to the imagination on this one.
So so they're calling him home and so there's they're
(18:37):
sitting there waiting for a call. At least. The only
one that doesn't have but like his cool nickname is John,
who's Parker's cousin. It was what his name, John King?
And he's the ones He's the one that's basically like
the squirreliest drawn dude, like you would see him, I mean,
no wonder he's like an.
Speaker 2 (18:56):
AA guy and it's like, what is happen?
Speaker 1 (19:00):
Yeah, they make him really scrawny. But he's waiting for
a call because he knows he's got a person on
the inside that's going to, you know, let them know
which vehicle is that. There's three vehicles. One of them
is the real one, the other two are decoys. It
turns out that there is in the the limo that
the Brunei, the Sultan of Brunei's nephew is in is
(19:23):
inhabited by none no, no than Madam Mask, and so she
gets the info, lets them know. They basically hijack and
take it out. And but now the bodyguards are like,
you think we're dumb. We're in an area or a
city of soups because obviously Central Park, New York, of
course we're else they going to have it before. It's
(19:44):
not Billings, Montana. Stuff doesn't happen there. So they're ready
for the soups. So they've got a neurrow ion gun
and so they zap all the guys and they start
freaking out and this and that. But then up here
comes Hood. He arrives and he just has some handguns
and he shoots these guards and that's pretty much it.
So sometimes it's just sort of like, uh, well that's
(20:06):
what you need. Yeah, But then him and John are talking.
The Hood and John his cousin, and he's just like,
what about this because they instituted this no killing role
and he's like, but these guys need to. They needed
to because they would have their main his main thing.
It seems like the through line and this is that
you only kill when you know that these guys are
(20:28):
not going to stop until they get you. So that's
happened a couple of times. So they're chit chatting about it,
and they talk about this cop that they killed through whatever.
I forgot what the message the original thing they said was.
But then John went to prison for it and got out.
And now he goes up to the front of the
(20:51):
thing and one of the or the front of the
truck and one of the dead bodies starts talking to
Parker the hood and it's He's like, I'm always with you.
You cannot like get away from me. And it turns
out it's who is it who's talking to him, dor
mom ou Torgain. Yes, the ruler of the dark dimension
(21:14):
is here, and so they're like everyone meet up at
safe House four and so they're sitting there talking and
they're lead scientist guy who has the most original name
in Marvel, whose name is Camestro or Camistro, just like
it's chemistry with it. Oh, at the ends of a
why it's like.
Speaker 2 (21:31):
The thugs in this one are all of the sea
level thugs.
Speaker 1 (21:35):
It's so funny. Yeah, I mean when they bring in Shocker,
he's like the biggest like named guy celebrity. Yeah, he's
sort of like a mid B level villain. So they
go to the safe house and they're splitting up the
treasure and the goons are sitting there, you know, look
at the funniest thing about this and another like recurring
(21:59):
item in this store or this comic run is these
goons talking about the Hood and then him popping up
because he is like, yeah he could, he could turn invisible.
And then he pops up and then just like you
should realize after the first time, don't talk crap about
him because he could be standing there anything about it. No,
(22:19):
he never he never calls him out. He's just like
yeah whatever. Yeah, so he says, say, yeah, whatever, you
got the job done. We're you know, we're doing this.
And then now there's a party. So now Cmestro centurious
living Laser, the answer and the controller again these guys,
I mean seriously, yeah, I think it's like a Spider
(22:41):
Man one of his low level villains. He's not even
in the top of the cabal, but they question the
Hoods authority and if he's like slipping and whatever. So
he goes to the controller and he hears this, and
he's like, really, you know why we've been coming to
the safe Houn because Safehouse three the other one, well,
(23:02):
I'm making it into a full lab and we'll be
ready about a month or it's been working on for
a month. And so there, now you can be because
the controller, I guess it's this big brainy scientist guy.
You can have your place to do your work. So
there that he basically gives controllers. The guy that sort
of is like the lead of the leader of the goons,
(23:22):
questioning the Hoods authority, but then he gives them break,
like he gives them a street. He's like he basically
a barking dog's like here, here's a biscuit. Be quiet,
and then he just shuts up for a while. So
now the Hood and Mask go Chad and they're sitting
there and John King comes up his cousin and they
(23:47):
start talking and then it's sort of just like John
knows something's going on, and but then he the Hoods like, well,
I got to make it an early night because I've
got a business meeting tomorrow, which is sours like okay,
So but him and Mask, you know, they get down
to real business about Parker.
Speaker 2 (24:07):
Robbins says that he loves the ladies.
Speaker 1 (24:10):
Oh, yeah, he loves He finds out that, you know,
later on it's like we found out what his weakness is.
It's just ladies. But but then the next morning it
is uh. He he's at his house with his wife
and his kid, and it's like, oh, it's a late
night working and then we follow We find someone that
(24:32):
had followed Hood to the house and it is White Fang,
who I had no again, another another, another nothing. So
they go He goes out and this is the this
is the second issue called Hunted or Haunted, and he
(24:54):
gets into a fight with White Fang, and she's got
this thing that's like, oh, you've got two guns on you. Boom.
They're neutralized. They're no good anymore. And so we we
can find out that White Fang is the wife of
Eric Dundee, who was the cop that they killed in
the aforementioned first episode or first issue where John went
(25:15):
to prison for it. And she's one. She's out of
she wants revenge.
Speaker 2 (25:20):
Just happened before this happened a while ago.
Speaker 1 (25:24):
This happened in the previous run of a different comic
and so sort of like, well, I think that's why
they're they do a very good job. If nothing comes
out of the woodwork going like oh my god, it's like, oh,
they mentioned that. So here's the the way it plays out.
None of Hood's tricks that he has are working. And
divisibility fine, she could still she can see the invisibility
(25:46):
of it all, and she is whooping his ass and
Dormanmo keeps saying let me help you, just you.
Speaker 2 (25:53):
Just help me, Cricket, like I can do things if
you let me in.
Speaker 1 (25:59):
And finally he's on the verge of just getting completely destroyed,
and he's like okay, and he just goes full o
PI mode and he rips her masks off, destroys her armor.
He's dangling out the window and you could hear the
Dormammu going full Palpatine going do it do we just like?
And then and he's like, oh, I can't. And then
(26:20):
even she's going like, don't spare me. You know I
want If I can't kill you, then you got to
kill me. And because she even says something like you know,
John or Eric, I'll be I'll meet up with you
soon or something like that. But then She's just like,
I'm never gonna stop coming for you. And then that
just ends and we go right to the hood side
out and Parker tells his cousin John about White Fang,
(26:45):
who he just fought, and what the relationship is with it,
and it's like, oh crap, what's going on here now.
But he also tells John that he had to let
quote unquote him in again because he knows about the
whole dormm thing, and then John starts blasting him about
because every time John has a drink, the hoods like, hey,
(27:06):
what's in there, He's like, oh, it's soda because he's
on the wagon, or he went through a this and that,
and he goes, you can talk about me about being
addicted to alcohol. I think you're addicted to this power
you get from the dark dimension, dude. And it's like, well,
it's kind of like apples and oranges, but it's if
apples and oranges growing the same tree maybe because it
does have the same type of yeah, you know, and
but but he also goes like, hey, you know scarecrow
(27:28):
down there, which, by the way, it's like, does every
comic book have a scarecrow? Because I looked a him like, yeah, exactly,
he's like scarecrow. He knows about this occult stuff. Go
talk to him and finds out find out if he
knows something about someone that might be able to help
me do something with this, because but I can't make it.
(27:50):
I can't do it because I don't want to look weak.
So you do it like you're trying to like get
more people in our intourkabal and this and that, and
we can you know. But then this is when he's like,
oh no, I got a I can't do anything more
than this because I've got a meeting in the morning.
So then he wakes up in the morning and it's
late because they explain this thing with the alarm clock
(28:10):
and the digital one and then analog one neither are working.
But then giant headed emmer Frost shows up. It's just
like it's like hello, like why there's your alarm clock
right there, and they get transported to basically hell and
it's like a zoom meeting, but like in person type thing.
So just a meeting. Yeah, So this was a meeting
(28:32):
that pretty much even just said like what do you
say Laterhods, Like he called this meeting just to like
let everyone know what's going on, and nothing's really going on.
Speaker 2 (28:41):
This meeting because I didn't understand.
Speaker 1 (28:44):
No, he says that he goes sometimes he just Norman
does this just to basically let people know. You know,
here's the label land. He's doing a check in. What
do people call it? Now?
Speaker 2 (28:54):
Yeah, I can't they have there's some stupid name bar
right now.
Speaker 1 (28:58):
I don't. I don't have to deal with at my work,
so I have no idea what it is. So but
sitting there waiting is doctor doom Loki, which is Lady Loki,
which you know, it doesn't really matter much, but it's
not like it's Loki. LOOKI and then Naymore and Emmer
Frost and they're waiting for Norman, who basically looks like
he's drawn the same way as like the uh, your
(29:20):
friendly neighborhood Spider Man. It looks almost exactly like that character.
Speaker 2 (29:24):
Yeah, he's drawn that way a lot in the comics.
Speaker 1 (29:28):
But then yeah, Green Gablin is talking to the Hood.
And I can't tell if Green Gablin was there or
if Green Gablin was like in the Hood's head as well,
because he just shows up like dark behind him. But
they never show the full green Gablin, but I'm assuming
he's there. I think that Norman.
Speaker 2 (29:45):
I think he like came in that way and was
like hey, Peking, then he.
Speaker 1 (29:48):
Like turned into Norman. Okay, but I don't know.
Speaker 2 (29:52):
The whole staff meeting is kind of a miss, if
we're being honest.
Speaker 1 (29:55):
Right, because they'd even talking to like he talks about
something with iron Man, and then it fades into and
then the meeting's over.
Speaker 2 (30:02):
As far as I'm like, I'm sorry, like most meetings
and working America that's accomplished absolutely nothing, thank you.
Speaker 1 (30:09):
Yeah, it's like, what's the point I have meetings? My meeting?
He wakes up back to reality. He's in the warehouse
for and there's smoke and there's fire and it is burning.
It's on fire the warehouse. So the safe house is
on fire. So uh, Scorcher was just like they first
(30:31):
all go to Scorcher again, another like sea level guy
who like it wasn't me. He's like, if I would
have done it, it would have been done a lot different.
And so you could hear this. You could see the
drawing of the fire sire or the fire engines coming
the sirens, and he's just like, well you know what, scorcher,
just make it a full on blast and you know,
(30:51):
destroy any evidence that's in there before they get here.
But the main point of this is that I still
don't understand the point of the fire or whatever. But
John gets gets Honestly, this whole issue could have been skips.
There's a major I'll get to in a second here
that kind of pissed me off. But then I went
back and looked at it, and I'm like, well, I
(31:12):
guess it's the way comics work sometimes.
Speaker 2 (31:14):
But intrigue.
Speaker 1 (31:16):
John gives Hood a card that's for the Fourth Street Curio,
which is run by s Hellstrom, which if you know
anything about comics, you know exactly who that is. But
first he has to go to Saint Martin's convalescent home
where his mom is there and is dealing with Alzheimer's
and is not doing very well. So then he goes
decides to go to the Fourth Streets Curio and the
(31:38):
person comes out and he's like, what do I owe
the privilege of the servant of Dormamu to come to
see me? And it's Sitana. Go to Issue three. They're
in Harlem and Hood's goons are drunk. Oh, this issue
is called The Devil's In the Details, Harlem and hood
(32:00):
d goons are coming out of a bar. They're drunk.
The miller or the r I can't tell if it's
the NYPD or yeah, it's the NYPD. They've got this
guy called Force, who is a terrible name. I'm sorry,
terrible name. Yeah, he just is basically who he looked
(32:20):
like somebody but he was.
Speaker 2 (32:22):
Basically he has like an ultron esque looking armor on,
like it's very weird. And at one point someone calls
him forcy and I'm just like, what is happening with this?
Speaker 1 (32:32):
Well, the guys, Yeah, the guys are drunk and they
were just like, who is the real thing? We go
back to Greenwich Village and this is the part that
makes me mad. Satana goes to he's talking with the
Hood and he's like, so, wh who are you possessed by?
You literally said at the end of the last episode
issue that it was your he was you do that
(32:53):
he was the servant. Were you listening to me?
Speaker 2 (32:57):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (32:57):
But then he's like dormamu and and she's like oh really,
And they're like, maybe Strange could help exercise him out
of me? And who's like, I saw Strange get his
butt kicked by this guy. So and then he's like, well,
Strange is off doing something, you know anyway, so he's
not around, and so we get a history. She's able
(33:18):
to tell the history of how Parker Robbins became the Hood,
which is all basically just for to let us know here.
And there was an attack, a cloak attacker that came
after him, and there was a creature inside that was
already dead, and they they sought him out for some reason,
(33:41):
and then that Cloak bonded with the Hood. So this
whole time it was a setup that they were trying
to go after to get him. But then we get
a deeper dive into dor Mamu, who comes from a
line of beings called the fel Teine, and him and
his sister Umar basically were just going from hopping around
(34:01):
destroying and overwhelming everyone. And they got to the Dark
dimension and he grew stronger and he betrayed his sister
and then they got to our world and that's where
it stopped. But now he wants to come back and
he wants to rule, and then this is what you're
basic guy story. Yeah, so he wants to just get
(34:22):
back here, because this is the thing that he couldn't defeat.
And now he's just like, well, I'm going to any
meaning it's necessary. This is gonna be mine. So she
tells the Hood like, maybe you just stop wearing the
cloak and hey, you know, if you want, you can
leave it here if you want, I'll take a look
at it.
Speaker 2 (34:37):
And he's like, off your hands for you man, like
you don't need life, you have so much going on.
Speaker 1 (34:44):
No exactly, and he's like he's like, nah, that's not
a good idea. And she's like, well, maybe you need
like I could like apprentice you did like the magic stuff.
And he's like, I'll get back to you. So that
it just goes to what He goes to Brooklyn and
and White Fang is in her workshop struggling because the
last time we saw her, the Hood just destroyed her
(35:06):
armor and this and that, and someone comes up behind
her and it is basically like, hey, you need some help,
and it's Shadowy figure. We don't know who could just be.
We go back to Hoods home and this was a
little funny part two that his phone rings and they
right out the song and it all it says it
(35:27):
is pleased to meet you. Hope you guess my name,
which is sympathy for the Devil by the Rolling Stones.
So his ring tone is sympathy for the Devil, which
I think that's a kind of like that's a cool
Easter egg that they put in there. And it is
them calling us. They're calling him about the bust because
(35:47):
all those the his goons, when force came, they arrested
all of them, and he's kind of, you know, pissed
about it, and he goes, you know what, let you guys.
Speaker 2 (35:59):
You you're gonna set the drunk tank for a while.
Speaker 1 (36:02):
You're gonna get back because this is in the morning.
So later on they get released to hammer, which is
basically data just get pulled out and they're like, hey,
wasn't shock or you know, released by you guys. I
heard he's under looser. He get released a hammer too,
and he's back out on the streets. Something must happen
and they basically go from one vehicle to another, and
(36:23):
then they take John and throw him into this limo
and like, I ain't gonna be no stool pigeon. I
am ain't gonna talk this and that, and then it's
it's the Hood is in the back and he's just
going like, okay, relaxed, We're fine. He explains. I think
he explains his meeting with Sitana about the whole thing
(36:46):
with maybe their mom, who wasn't going to be you know,
easy to get rid of. So then they go to
this undisclosed location, which is like, why the hell are
we here? And they're like, we own this place. This
is one of our safe houses. And Griffin's like really,
and he's pissed about Hood making them wait, and they
fight and gripping it was pretty and then Hood does
his seems like it's his copyrighted move now and just
(37:08):
pulls out his guns and shoots him in his shoulder
or something like, hey, if you can't fight, when if
I just shoot him, get it over with. It's the
old Indiana Jones thing. Do you remember that with the
Swordsman in Cairo?
Speaker 2 (37:20):
Harrison Board was too hot and tired to do the
fight scene, so.
Speaker 1 (37:23):
He just pulls out a gun in everyone kind of
realizes too or no, I think he tells them he's
like he's not wearing his cloak now, he's wearing what.
Speaker 2 (37:35):
He's not one of Crimson Cowl's cloaks cloaks, and the
phone rings and it is his it's his.
Speaker 1 (37:47):
Mom, and she's fine. It's like she's talking to him
very lucid.
Speaker 2 (37:52):
She remembers him to visit. She remembers his daughter's name
and that he brought his girlfriend and or if I
can't remember, and he's like wow, cool, and I was
like red flag.
Speaker 1 (38:04):
Yeah. So he grabs his wife and kid and goes
down there and talks to them and this and that,
and at that time, Dormamu like admits, like, I'm the one.
How she is all the time? Yeah, exactly. So we
go over to Brooklyn and we find out that the
person that is helping White Fang is none other than
(38:27):
the controller who you know earlier. He is a guy
that's throwing Hood's name under the bus, and so it's like,
oh okay. So he gives her this souped up armor
that is you know again, it's like almost like Hulkbuster
armor that that like bulky, but it's like it's supposed
to be like super just op. And he goes the
(38:49):
only time that he's really on is vulnerable when he's
not wearing his cloak. He never wears it around his
family and they show a picture his wife and his daughter,
and it's just like because nobody.
Speaker 2 (39:01):
The whole thing is that Parker doesn't tell anybody about
his family.
Speaker 1 (39:04):
Nobody knows about Sarah. Yeah, the only person that knows
is his cousin John. So I think that's why he
could leave, Like if someone else finds out, it's because
of him, his drunk ass running his mouth off, which
leads us to issue for the penultimate issue called family
Man and hood Scoons wonder if they can really trust
(39:28):
the Hood. While they're sitting there waiting at this ship
heist and they're like, oh, here's the ship and they
say like, oh, you know, Manta Ray and Tiger Shark
go take out. It's like, again, it's so ridiculous. I
wonder what there's a guy's superpower is they can swim
and turn into fish and stuff like that. So the
(39:50):
next day he grabs his mom and his wife and
the kid and they're driving around and they go to
their new house in the suburbs and it's a nice house.
It's like, this is where we're going to start our
family here cash.
Speaker 2 (40:03):
For there's no mortgage, dream.
Speaker 1 (40:05):
Nothing, no red flags. Sitting up front of all on
the flagpole.
Speaker 2 (40:10):
Why do you think I've been working all these nights
for And she's just like okay.
Speaker 1 (40:13):
Sure, yeah yeah. And of course while he's sitting their door,
mom Or she was himself again, and now he's thinking
like he doesn't have the cloak on, he doesn't you
know what's going on here. He's like, okay, I gotta
go to work, and so he goes to safe House three,
which is the one that they were turning into the
lab Yeah.
Speaker 2 (40:30):
Satana's like, I've moved in.
Speaker 1 (40:34):
Everyone's there. There's a lab He's like, where do these steps?
All of a sudden, they show these steps going downstairs
and his base g's just like going into the labyrinth.
It's not even like he's like where did these come from?
They're like, oh this is uh, this is where she
did it, and it's Satana And she's like, I have intuition.
I knew that you were probably gonna needed my help.
So I'm setting all this stuff up and doing all
(40:55):
these things. And the first thing she noticed is like, oh, yeah,
that's not the uh the magic cloak is it? And no,
but Dormmu is still appearing, So she's like, okay, hold
on a second, and it's almost like the cone of silence,
but it's this circle of fire, and you see he's
even going like, my god, stay in here, but no
(41:18):
one else could hear us though he's like is there
no other magic She says, is there no other magic
thing that could link to him? And it's like, well,
there were these boots, but I found out I didn't
need them anyway, and but uh yeah, so I got
rid of them and so okay, well we'll see what
(41:38):
We'll see what happens.
Speaker 2 (41:39):
And she had told him before basically like every time
he lets dor Mamu in, he gets like more and
more real in the realm essentially.
Speaker 1 (41:51):
And that's his his ultimate goal is to be able
to come fully corporeal in the real world. And so
then we go to Brooklyn and it's raining and the
Hood's wife and kid are there, and all of a sudden,
like they dropped the typical all the drop groceries fell
and like, I'll help you, and it's white thing and
(42:13):
she's just like yeah, She's like, oh yeah, don't worry
about it, and that can help you with this, Like
I you know, that's not going to be anything that's
going to come to any fruition later on, is it.
So we're back at the safe house and they all
know that it's not as cloak. And the funny thing
is is that a few of them are like, yeah,
it's because it doesn't have those like little dangly things
(42:33):
at the back and like the the seams are so different,
and they're like, is that what you really notice about somebody?
Like the decorative qualities of it. So the he's sitting again.
They're sitting there talking and the Hood shows up and
(42:54):
they're like, I didn't see him up here. Maybe he
used to be a ninja or something. He could just
prop his way in and then he had peers behind them. Yeah,
he's behind them. And then he's just like really, okay,
so here you go controller just again him throwing him
some bones. Here's those crystal coils for the slave discs
that you want to you know, create that I got from.
(43:16):
He got him off of Tony Stark or Stark Industries
or something like that. And uh, all right, by the way,
take the wizard because he could help because he's a
big brain dude, noting like, oh, that's gonna come up
and bite him in the butt. Later on, So Hood
is finally gonna take care of Force because of what
happened when he rested the drunk guys a couple of
(43:37):
days earlier, I guess, So he just wants to get
the guys that were the drunks, and because Wizard had
buzzed bugged the precinct and there was a raid going
on with something with Shocker, who again used to be
impart of the Hood's crew, and then he got mad
about debbying up the funds or something and he laughed.
So there is this it's a you know, well it's
(44:00):
on a dock or a desolate like warehouse. No, it's
at the Newark Airport. Oh, that's right, it's at the Okay,
that's right, because the the later on when they're in
Fresh Kills Landfill, that's what looks like the end scene
of Endgame when they're at the after the Vengers thing
blew up. So they're at there's right there in Newark
and there's a raid and Shacker is getting a payment
(44:23):
for whatever you know he did, and they're like get
on the ground, and Shacker and Force show up and
they're fighting each other, and Hood's gang arrives and mister Fear,
who is a new guy that just showed up. Like
everyone's wearing their nose plugs. Do what you need to do,
and it's like fear smell or something comes out and
(44:43):
White Fanged, who's new and improved, she shows up and uh,
He's like, look, you know how it turned out last time,
you know, right, And she's like, I never forget anything
that's done to me or the ones I love.
Speaker 2 (44:57):
Last time you were the master and I I was apprentice.
Speaker 1 (45:01):
So when he tells that, when she tells that to him,
and he's like, you know what I mean and shows
him a picture of his wife and kid, it's like
a cressnap. So that leads us into issue five and
Hood and their gang is getting whooped and White Fang
has Hood on the ropes and then all of a sudden,
(45:24):
Thunderball with the ball in chain like decapitates a guard
and knocks Forest out of nowhere.
Speaker 2 (45:29):
Carly whoa, yeah, this is Red Band.
Speaker 1 (45:34):
Yeah, this dude's head just like disappears, and now Hood
is fighting White Fang, and somehow they're fighting in the Yeah,
I think they were fighting. I think they were fighting
in the air, and White Fang gets like taken out
by a commercial airplane and then hooding Hood in their
(45:54):
gang and everyone they just leave. Yeah yeah, and force
some white start planning to exploit the dissension in the
Hoods rank because they see Scorcher is left there. He's
not unconscious and he's not on the ground, so uh,
Parker runs back to the apartment and they're not there.
(46:16):
So he calls his wife, which I'm thinking, call right away,
you know, white things not at your apartment, Just call
to see what's going on. She's like, oh, I thought
I told you. I'm with the kid and we're we.
Speaker 2 (46:27):
Came out to the house, the house, I'm gonna set
some stuff up.
Speaker 1 (46:31):
So he goes. I don't know if he goes or
he calls oh, no, he goes to there. He goes
to the combination home and his mom is back to
her full unaware Alzheimer's. She's an even worse condition. Actually,
it seems like yeah, and John is there and he's like,
we need to talk, and they're like, yeah, that's fine,
come right with me. So he's telling John's telling Hood
(46:54):
about Controller leading a charge to displace him as the
ruler or the runner of the gang. And then Parker's like, well,
how did he know about White Fang and how did
he know about my family? Like all this other stuff,
and he's like does someone get drunk and just like
run his mouth John. Then finally he decides, he's like,
why am I taking you to my new house? Just
get that hell out of my car because he's he's
(47:16):
like like really man man at him and uh So
then he goes to the new house. He's like, oh,
thank god, you're all safe, but dor Mamu appears in
his daughter.
Speaker 2 (47:27):
Yeah, so he grabs the daughter and he's like, get out.
Speaker 1 (47:30):
Of here and don't share the baby. Guys, don't shake
the baby rule number one. And his wife is just like, no,
you get away from us. You got to get out,
you believe. So he goes back to the safe house
three and the goons are there and they're like, we
(47:51):
need a new leader and they're like, we nominate you
controller and then uh Parker shows up with John and
they've got Scorched, who's almost beaten to death, and they're like, see,
this is why you guys are not going to be
in charge or anything, because you left the man behind.
And Scorcher is sitting there muttering something like dump at midnight,
(48:15):
and you know that's where Force is going to met him.
That's where the final stand is going to happen, at
the Fresh Kills Landfill landfill in Staten Island. The story
the way they drew that though, the first time I
looked at the one landscape picture it literally looked like
the showdown between the Avengers and Danos's group at the
(48:38):
end of endgame. Yeah, they do make it look rather regal,
I must say. John, No, Parker says to John very
out loud to everyone, John, go to my belt and
grab my bag, because that's where his cloak is actually at.
So we get to the Fresh Kills Landfill on State Island,
(49:00):
which I think Stanton Island is pretty much a landfall anyway,
so so I always called it like the Stanton Island Dump.
So it's there, it's Hood be Force and everyone has backup,
but they're only gonna be there if they're needed, and
they're like, uh, you could start any time, and then
Hood's like, give me my cloak. And they opened a
bag and it's empty and Controller has it, and he's like,
(49:24):
why would you hide this? I want to see what
you can do when, uh, you don't have it? In
nothing fresh cloak and he starts burning it. And then
finally John's Hood's like, I have had enough of you
Controller and you Force, and he picks up a controller
and just throws him in the Force and he is
(49:46):
like he's his Hood now is coming to him, but
it's flamed. He's manifesting this thing himself, and it's a bargain. Yeah,
it's just like, oh my god, and everyone who challenges me,
what is wrong with you? And White Fang shows up
and they start going at it and he's beating the
(50:07):
crap out of her and then he's that and then
he basically makes a deal like end this the hunt,
White Fang, you stop hunting me, never come at me again.
But if you do, I'm not going to come after you.
I'm gonna come after Force and other people. So I'm
not going to kill you. I'm going to kill because
I guess there's some connection now between White Fang and Force,
(50:28):
or maybe White Fang just Head is another person, because
I didn't understand that, like why would she care so
much about Force? They all he got together was from
after the fight at the airport with the heist. They
were just like, oh hi, I'm white fang. I'm forced cool,
let's make up a way to get you know, the hood,
you know, get ready.
Speaker 2 (50:46):
Just because he's now somebody she cares about.
Speaker 1 (50:51):
That that could be, but it seems kind of just like, uh,
she's going to give up hunting the guy that killed
her husband in order to save this guy that she
just met. Okay whatever, it's comics. So like he said,
it's over, it'd better be because I won't come after you.
(51:11):
I'm just gonna come after him. And then Controller is
sitting there because he's still like days from when he
got thrown into force, and he goes, I guess there's
no one to spare me. And he's like, I'm not
gonna kill you. I need your great mind and I
need the things it creates, and Wizard, you have one
of those things right here, and he's like, yeah, I do,
John or Hood and he slaps one of his slave
(51:32):
devices right on the Controller. He's like, God, I need
some testing, don't you know the irony? Yeah, So the
guy that was just you know, helping him to develop
these things is now the guy that's controlling the guy
that tried to double cross and lost. And then I
was a slave because he even showed him like he
did a couple of times when he was just like
muttering something like yeah, let's go. Let's like he's he's
(51:54):
he's a goner, so let's see. Uh. So they get
the slave device these testings, and all the army is like, oh,
we could take him. We got a whole bunch of missiles,
and White Fang just turns to them, who I didn't
know she had any kind of authority, and he's like, no,
you can't. We need to we need to keep our word,
(52:15):
and so they're like okay, and then the hood goes Yeah,
everyone laid low for a couple of days and then
report back to Base three and Satana comes up and
he's like, well, here's the thing is, though you've already
bonded with Dormamu, the cloak is just a token. And
he goes, well, you know what, I think I need
you around, Satana, just for you know, because I need
(52:38):
to figure out what I'm gonna do here. Yeah, and
of course again because she's like addicted to women and
his wife kicked him out now too, so now because
I think even too like when White when Madam Mask
was walking with them and saw Satana. She's like, oh
my god, I guess you know. I got a little jealous.
I got a little jealous about this. So but then
(53:01):
he goes, but you, John, No, we don't need you anymore.
We're only as strong as our weakest link, and you
are just not valuable to us anymore. You betrayed me.
I can't trust you. Pack for warm weather, and so
then it's like, however, many days later, they're in Key
Largo and he's talking to Big Danny, who I guess
(53:22):
Key Largo is the place where any of the people
that get forced out of the life of crime in
New York in Marble go to like retire. He goes,
I screwed up the Danny. I was the only one
he could really trust until I wasn't and now he's
got nobody. And then the last scene is hood just
Basiculd is like floating in the air off into whatever.
(53:42):
So sad. Yeah, So I wonder how much of his
power is set because it always seemed to me like
Iron Man was gonna or iron Heart was going to
be a little bit more about tech and the suit.
But that is very much like Supernatural.
Speaker 2 (53:59):
I think the like doing a marriage of the two things.
Speaker 1 (54:03):
I think, So the hood could be, Like I'm just
wanting to see where the Hoods power set comes from. Yeah,
probably not going to be dor MoMA. It could be
some other somebody showed in episode five when they were
showing in like Reby's notebook, there's an M written in red. Yeah,
(54:26):
it could be. And I honestly hope that MCU never
introduces Mephisto and it is just this giant troll forever
and ever funny and be like, oh, well, you know,
you guys wanted it, so we didn't give it to you.
So that's very funny, sort of like where I thought
(54:47):
of when they announced Spaceballs too, and uh, it ends
with by the way, do you realize that tomorrow I
think it is or sometime within the next couple of
days mel Brooks is going to be ninetyn. Oh wow,
good for him, but he says, he goes. So we
asked the fans what you want us to do? But
(55:07):
we made the movie anyway. So it's just like we
asked the fans about their MoMu and they all wanted it,
but we're never gonna give it to him.
Speaker 2 (55:15):
We're always gonna be It could be a very good
like if it's a Mephisto connection with with Parker Robbins
Anthony Ramos is playing him, it could be a good
like thing to show up in the next Spider Man
movie or something like that.
Speaker 1 (55:34):
They just better not do the hood dirty and make
him into some of these guys where he's not around,
because he's he's there. I like the characters and Marvel
I think realized they can't just keep doing the one
and done the one. Yeah, the modoc was here, one
and done, you know, just like some of these characters
have been waiting for. Yes, there is a plethora of
good guys bad guys out there. Just don't kill him
(55:57):
off bring him back later.
Speaker 2 (55:58):
So I do think I hope they keep him around.
Speaker 1 (56:01):
So we shall see. Yes, yes, we sall And I'm
actually getting kind of excited for tomorrow and I know
getting to watch it.
Speaker 2 (56:12):
Yeah, I'm looking forward to It's going to be I think,
something a little different, which is cool.
Speaker 1 (56:19):
So let's see. Next week we will be doing our
primer for the first part of season two of The Sandman.
So if any of you guys have audible out there
or can you said it's on, where did you get
yours book?
Speaker 2 (56:34):
Four is on Kindle Unlimited if you subscribe to that, okay,
and if you are out from your library.
Speaker 1 (56:41):
Or if you have the audio, it is the it
is the audible of the Sandman Act two, chapters one
through eight, seasons of myst It seems like from everything
I've read, the season two is going to focus specifically
on Dream and his dealings with his family and his
(57:03):
you know, the whole hell of it all. So yep, literally,
so yep, that's what we would be doing next week.
But in the meantime, if people want to get a
hold of us, how can they do that?

which are across the Bifrost, the Mighty four, Dan Any
and have questions commute to the podcast. Sega Bets Cocktails
from the Cantina. Rebel Force Radio presents the Babu Freaks,
Jack Kirby, So Weird, So Fun, and the Star Wars
(57:50):
Yo Universe, which is hosted by our very own James
Yoda Hugh Hewings, where he talks about how you just
have Star Wars in your day life. Indeed, and lately
it's been a lot of what if I was. I'm
finishing my rebels rewatch plane some tails from the Galaxy's
(58:11):
Edge in VR, which is really cool. I got a
v I don't know if I talked about it on
the show. I got a PS two PSVR two, and
it is fully like three sixty up down, you turn
around and you see what's behind you. I've gotten to
the point where I got my sea legs now where
I could do it for like an hour without getting
like because I mean it. You know. Well, here's the
(58:34):
thing is, though I use it in a sitting position,
I don't move around. I move my move in my
hand like you're gonna move your hands anyone you walk.
But if you hold the button, it makes you move.
This is more of a you make it. It almost
makes you feel like at first, like if you read
a lot when you're in a car, when you're not driving,
you did like car sickness, motion sickness. They even tell
(58:56):
you like do it in a couple of fifteen minute
increments and then expand it and so and it's it's
a lot of the stuff is the very life like
the Horizon zero Dawn called the Mountain is you're basically
climbing this mountain and some of it is like you
look down and it's like, oh, it gives you like
anxiety and it makes you almost feel like there. You
(59:17):
also have to go in your mouth, you're not there.
It's really cool though. So they're actually going to do
a thing too where Dan Jacobitz, who is from me
and Dan I have Questions, has a meta and one
of the things he subscribes to is the NBA game
Pass or something, and so when he wears it, he
could make it seem like he's watching a basketball game
(59:39):
from like you're in the stands. They do this cool thing.
I know you're a huge fan of Welcome to WRECTAM
because your boy Ryan Reynolds is there. But they have
a thing where they can watch the games when they're
in LA and it's set up like the stands and
everything around them. It's almost like the the volume where
you could see it feels like you're at the game
by looking at to think. I mean, it's a lot
(01:00:01):
bigger aspect, but that would be kind of cool to
do that.
Speaker 2 (01:00:03):
That's cool, sure, Dan, to be able to watch basketball
games that way.
Speaker 1 (01:00:06):
Yeah, I wouldn't do it, but I think that I
watched about a minute of basketball for the first time
this year last year when I started last night, when
I saw like I watched the last minute of the
the game between the Thunder and the Pacers, and I
feel bad for Halliburton who tour his I mean, how
(01:00:27):
many how many guys tore their achilles in the playoffs though,
like Jason Tayten did, Damian Damian Lillard did. I mean,
these are superstars. They all toward the achilles and by
feel happening a.
Speaker 2 (01:00:41):
Lot more throughout sports. Honestly, the achilles tear is like
becoming a big thing.
Speaker 1 (01:00:46):
Yeah, it used to be like the A c LS, MCLs, PCLS, TCLS, MCLs,
whatever your collatible. Yeah, it's the letter thing in your knee.
So but anyways, I DI so all right next week Sandman.
Until that man, Remember two things be excellent to each
(01:01:07):
other and never Dodge, a book Byceovie. I don't think
I've ever had a cut deck quick where I'm just like, Okay,
we're done anyways, Love you three hundred.
