Speaker 1 (00:00):
Welcome to Spacing Out with BB and Jason this week
covering Battlestar Galacticus season four episode fourteen, Blood on the Scales.

Speaker 2 (00:10):
Ye, welcome back.

Speaker 3 (00:16):
I'm Baby and I'm Jason, and this is Spacing Out
or today we will be discussing Battlestar Galactica. If you
are new to the show, welcome, and you should know.
We will have a spoiler section at the end of
the podcast where we are free to discuss future events,
but otherwise we won't be spoiling anything past this episode,
which is Battlestar Galactica season four episode fourteen, Blood on

(00:38):
the Scales.

Speaker 2 (00:39):
And Boy was there blood ooh.

Speaker 3 (00:41):
This originally aired on February six, two thousand and nine.
Written by Michael Angelly, directed by Wayne Rose. The survivor
count was thirty nine, six hundred and three, which is
down forty from last week. In this episode, picking up
from last week, Roslin manages to broad cast what Gata
has done to the entire fleet, and the bas Star

(01:03):
hides within the fleet for protection. The Quorum of twelve
rejects Tom Zeric as president and he has a quorum executed.
Tyana Dama are captured and a Dama is put on
trial with Tom Zeric as Judge Starbuck and Apollo leader
Resistance and Rescue Prisoners. Chief Dyill climbs through the ship
and disables the FTL drive and a Dama reclaims the
CiCe and mutiny is over. And then Gata and Zeric

(01:26):
are executed by firing squad, and that is a mutiny failed.

Speaker 1 (01:31):
On that vibe check, did we like the episode overall?
How does it stand the test of time?

Speaker 2 (01:41):
Did he like that episode?

Speaker 3 (01:42):
I do like this episode. I think it's mostly on
par with the last episode, which we both really liked.
It definitely carries a lot of that energy. It's maybe
a little less action and more more dramatic dialogue, but
it's still I kind of think of any weak parts
in it. I think it still holds up as a
very strong episode.

Speaker 2 (02:03):
Yeah, I think it is. I think I like the
last one better, but this one's pretty good because there's
so much action and so much going on.

Speaker 3 (02:12):
Yeah, there's a little more like debate about ethics and
things like that. Gata trying to feel like he's justified
in everything.

Speaker 2 (02:19):
I think Gata's trying to control He's trying to do
what a Dama does every day and be in charge,
and I think he feels it's slipping away, Like at
every turn he makes, every decision he makes seems to
be the wrong one, or there's people who aren't listening
to or they're like obviously, like not one hundred percent
on board with the plan. And then there's even the

(02:40):
point where Xeric decides to murder the quorum and he's like,
maybe I'm not one hundred percent on the plan either.

Speaker 3 (02:47):
Yeah. Well, he had a very clean cut idea what
the plan would be, and it's very messy. So let's
move on the trivia trivia time.

Speaker 1 (02:58):
What scs could we cover for blood on the scales?

Speaker 3 (03:01):
Just a couple of things here. So this episode was
featured in TV Guide's Top one hundred episodes of All
Time back in two thousand and nine. It ranked number
forty three. This is the final appearances of Alessandro Giuliani
as Felix Kata and Richard Hatch as Tom's Eric. And
if you remember, Richard Hatch was the original Apollo in
the original series, So it is quite the exit, quite

(03:25):
the exit for someone who is once the hero of
the show.

Speaker 2 (03:28):
Yeah, I think this is what this character gave him
a lot to like bite into with the complexities the horror.

Speaker 1 (03:39):
Deep space dive. Let's break down some of our thoughts
on the episode. You can share your thoughts with us
through email, Facebook, or Twitter. We may use your comments
on an upcoming episode.

Speaker 3 (03:52):
So I guess the cliffhanger last week was a Dama
and Tie holding up in that airlock and they are captured,
and we bring in our old lawyer, Romo Lampkin, which
was not the character I was expecting to appear in
this episode.

Speaker 2 (04:07):
Yeah. I really wasn't expecting him out of all the people,
but they wanted to. He wanted to do a trial.
They wanted to try a Dama for all of his wrongdoings.
So that's kind of where we start. We start off
with like the standoff coming to an end in the
airlock or whatever where there the ship was departing from,
and Colonel Tye and Admiral Adama are captured. And I

(04:30):
thought it was really interesting that Adama took off his
sigils or his little pins that signify him as admiral,
and he like throws them down and he's like, you
can do but you can try it? Then, like you
you can have this. I don't need this to be
the leader. But I thought that was interesting that like
everything that Gata was working for was to be in

(04:53):
that position, to be in that role, and now Adama's like,
I don't need it. There's like we're gonna fuck shit up.
You're going to pay for this, and I don't need
these fucking symbols to make me the head of this ship.
Basically like I'm in charge. But if you want to pretend,
if you want to play this, you take it. You
take it and see how long you can run with it.

Speaker 3 (05:14):
Yeah. Well, also, like Gata is calling him admiral, but
like he's not treating him like the admiral giving him mortars.

Speaker 2 (05:20):
So yeah, and then they call him admiral Gata.

Speaker 3 (05:23):
They call him commander. Oh yeah, commandmander, and like Adama
scoffs at that because like who promoted You promoted yourself,
Like that's not how it works. Yeah, this whole thing
is a farce. This trial is a farce.

Speaker 2 (05:34):
Yeah, And even Lampkin was like this is not a trial.
This is and he didn't get like he's like, so wait,
so you're going to have me defend him and you're
going to be the judge and the prosecutor, and if
I fail, you're gonna kill me, like you're gonna kill
everybody else. He's like, I don't like this deal. Yeah,

(05:55):
which is fair because I feel like he hasn't done
anything wrong. He's just been doing a job.

Speaker 3 (06:00):
Yeah, he's just the only lawyer that they can think of.

Speaker 2 (06:03):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (06:03):
It was like, you're free to turn this job down,
but I wouldn't advise that.

Speaker 2 (06:08):
Yeah, you either turn it down and die, or you
take it and you die.

Speaker 3 (06:12):
And then he's advising Adama basically to stall as long
as he can, and the guards do not like him
doing that.

Speaker 2 (06:19):
Yeah. Yeah, the guards are dicks to them, like they're
supposed to have time to talk to their lawyer without
anybody present, and the guards are like, listen to Sane
because he's whispering. He's like whispering to a dama, And
the guards like, hey, what are you doing? You can't
talk to your client. It's weird. It's like so obviously

(06:39):
like a farce, Like it's so obviously not genuine. It's
like not publicly nound to like the public trial that
they had for Baltar, and like they had reporters, they
had everybody there. They had a whole group of people
that like were judging him, and it was interesting, like

(07:00):
this one was quiet. It was like in one room
with like three people.

Speaker 3 (07:05):
Yeah, with Xeric as a judge, Like, yeah, it was
just a formality. So that Gata can put that in
the history books of what went down.

Speaker 2 (07:14):
Yeah, make him feel kind of some sort of like
justice has been served, but his form of justice is
so skewed and so like contorted into this like forced
thing that it's no longer justice. It's just you deciding
who's guilty based on your feelings. And Xeric when he's

(07:37):
like trying to be in charge and he goes to
the quorum or the group of people that help make
decisions for the fleet, and he's like, I'm you know,
the president is giving you an order and they're like yeah,
and you're the vice president.

Speaker 3 (07:57):
And he's like, well you're dead then, yeah, no one
calls me vice president.

Speaker 2 (08:03):
Even though he truly is. And Laura, I think she's
really smart because she's able to she knows where her
power lies. And I'm glad that they have. I'm like
I was like thinking, I'm like surely because she was
trying to use that radio and it wasn't working, And
I'm like, they're on a whole ass Cylon base ship.
Surely somebody knows how to work a fucking radio, and

(08:27):
fucking le open does. He has a special radio with
buttons that change colors, and he's able to unjam the
signal and broadcast her out. And she's letting everybody know
Gaida is forcibly taking over the ship. He has everybody

(08:48):
in custody and this is an illegal coupe basically, and like,
turn off your FTL drives because basically Gaida is trying
to move everybody away from where they're at right now.
And it seems like some ships did turn off their
ftls after they heard the message from Laura because they

(09:08):
weren't able to jam at it in time for her
to get her she got her message out.

Speaker 3 (09:12):
Yeah, imagine just being a random person on a ship
and getting all these conflicting messages about who the president
is and who's in control, Like who do you listen to?

Speaker 2 (09:22):
I mean, if you're just a regular person, you're not
in charge of anything. You're just going about your day,
probably you know, mining salt or something. Whatever they're doing
on their announcements Yeah, like you're just trying to listen
to the radio station, but they keep interrupting Freebird or
something like nobody cares except for maybe the ship's captains.

(09:47):
The people who are they're probably like, what the fuck?
And I want to know what happens when they find
out that the quorum has been executed in a horribly
like just very violent way, like the way that I
can't believe they showed the aftermath.

Speaker 3 (10:04):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (10:05):
I was like, I thought that they were just gonna like,
you know, you know, do what they did where they're
like cutting to Zerich after they like disagree with him
and he's like killed them, and that guy goes in
and kills them and shoots them and we hear the shooting,
and then I thought that was going to be done.
But then they cut to all of these people just
like thrown about full of blood.

Speaker 3 (10:27):
Yeah, I was like, what the fuck. I guess they
wanted to show panic data actually seeing the violence that occurred. Yeah,
because he's not on board with it. But yeah, that's
that's a big thing. That's like their whole government.

Speaker 2 (10:41):
Yeah, I feel like that's a big turning point too.

Speaker 3 (10:44):
Yeah, and we never like never got a lot of
like any sort of like character development from the Quorum,
but like it's been those same actors in that room
every time we see the Quorum.

Speaker 2 (10:54):
Yeah. Yeah, I like that hot Dog hesitated.

Speaker 3 (10:58):
Yeah, so we were speculating about that last time, Like
Gata specifically wanted the to not have hot Dog take
action because that he didn't think hot Dog would follow through.

Speaker 2 (11:09):
And he was right, yep. And as soon as Laura
lands on the base ship, they get shot because the
other marine or the other pilot is like, fuck them,
let's kill her, and he gets in hot Dogs like area, Like,
he gets into the position to shoot, and he loads

(11:30):
his missiles, targets them, and shoots them. And thankfully, you know,
Sharon's a really good pilot and she's able to maneuver
them out and into the base ship. And the silence
are like what the fuck?

Speaker 3 (11:43):
Yeah, they seem to have no idea what's going on
and get shot.

Speaker 2 (11:48):
Yeah, So they're like, why are we being attacked? And
Laura's like, you're not being attacked, it's me.

Speaker 3 (12:00):
And the popular one flipping her wig around. She's also like,
don't worry, everything's under control. And then and then.

Speaker 2 (12:08):
Bolter's like, hell no, she's like no, or he's like
he's like no, don't listen to her. And the ships
are being like cood or whatever, like there's a military coup.
Like everybody's like all of the Cylons are being held
captive and we don't know what's going on now. Yeah,

(12:29):
this is not a normal Tuesday. Yeah, we're not here
just for shits and giggles. And the Cylons have a
decision to make. They can either decide to stay and
see what happens with the humans and they're their own
little civil war that's going on now, or they can
go away because they have the capacity to keep running

(12:49):
and go away. Uh. And Laura's like telling them like no,
Bill is gonna get back, you know, Adam, Admiral Adama
is going to get take charge of the ship and
it's gonna be okay. And so there do something really smart,
which is go into the fleet to like protect themselves
because Felix is about to like you know, go nuclear

(13:12):
on them. Yeah, And so they hide in the fleet
until they make a decision to attack because there's like nothing,
they think that a Dama's dead or something or that.

Speaker 3 (13:22):
Yeah, there's a lot of like misinformation amongst the characters
because they tell a Dama that Colonel Tye has been shot,
and they tell Roslin that a Dama has been shot.
So all this manipulation trying to get people to give up.

Speaker 2 (13:36):
Yeah, And I feel like that's a main tool of
like an opposing force that's trying to dethrone or to
depose a government or an entity that is in charge.
Is the use of misinformation, like you see it with
like the Russian bots and all of this other stuff

(13:58):
from on the internet, where there's just like lies that
are being told as truths just to see who's like
just to confuse people, because people who are confused make
rash decisions and don't think in a way that's logical.

Speaker 3 (14:12):
Yeah. And we see like a couple of different approaches
here with Gata wanting to do everything kind of where
it looks like it's above board by the books, and
Tom Xeric's approach is to eliminate all opposition and the
victor gets the right to story.

Speaker 2 (14:29):
Yeah, which do you think is more like effective?

Speaker 3 (14:33):
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (14:34):
I feel like I hate to say it, but I
feel like Xeric might have a better plan because I
feel like fear is unfortunately a very good tool for
creating like a power structure in certain cases, it's it's
really like and it's like proven based on how many

(14:54):
dictatorships there have been, you know what I mean, Like
North Korea has been North Korea for so long because
there's been like cruel military leadership in power with zero
tolerance to anything that's outside of like our rules and

(15:16):
our regulations and our rule. So I feel like it's
been proven to be effective whether we like it or not.
We want like some sort of decorum and falsity, like
the idea of like, you know, we're Kumbayan and we're
all on the same page. We hate the cylons and
this is a trial, and you know, we're all in

(15:37):
this together. But I feel like that's that's kind of weak.
You're it's like a straw man.

Speaker 3 (15:42):
Yeah, Like I mean, I don't know what their laws are,
but it's not like they tried to go through the
legal system and have a Doma impeached or whatever and
removed from his position. Yeah, whatever that process would be,
because like it was a violent cool yeah, and then
Kata is basically trying to tamp that down and make

(16:04):
it look like, you know, we had a trial.

Speaker 2 (16:06):
We're a legitimate organization.

Speaker 3 (16:09):
Yeah, everything was fair and just and he was guilty
and we did what had to be done. Yeah, Whereas
if they had followed you know, Tom's Eric's way, they're
like all the everyone would be dead, that was scorched, Like.

Speaker 2 (16:23):
Yeah, I would be scorched earth that you would salt
the ground that you burned down so that no crops
could grow. Even if that meant like that you're not
gonna eat luck that it doesn't fucking matter because you're
gonna win. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (16:36):
But I feel like like even if people didn't think
like they might, this was legitimate. But like if there's
no other alternative, no other, no other like power source
to be under, then the one left.

Speaker 2 (16:50):
Yeah, yeah he was. He was so afraid when the
Sylom base ship was threatening to attack, He's like, we
gotta go, we gotta leave right now. And the FTL
drives are gonna like counting down to start, which I
don't ever remember the FTL drives needing us countdown.

Speaker 3 (17:10):
They have to spool them up, like they have to.
It takes him a while to spin up the drives, right, And.

Speaker 2 (17:17):
We cut to fucking Chief going in and being a
badass again. This episode. I feel like he's like a
different kind of badass. He's like in the airlock or
in the like event system, just like squirreling around.

Speaker 3 (17:33):
He's doing a die.

Speaker 2 (17:33):
Hard Yeah, and he gets caught by one of the
guards and he's like looking for a weapon. Chief and
he's like, what are you a dumb ass? And then
they laugh about it, and I was like, that's so confusing,
But I guess this guy's over this coup.

Speaker 3 (17:47):
Yeah, so that's uh, what's his name, Kelly, Aaron Kelly. Yeah,
So he's worked with the chief, but he was the
guy that he was outside when the quorum got shot.

Speaker 2 (17:58):
Oh yeah, he was the one who was like looking
apprehensive about murdering a bunch of innocent people.

Speaker 3 (18:04):
Yeah. And then he he connects with the chief there
and eventually lets him go.

Speaker 2 (18:09):
Yeah, he's like, oh on get and.

Speaker 3 (18:10):
Then he later he joins up with a Dama and well,
he joins up with Lee and Kara and goes in
free Adama.

Speaker 2 (18:19):
Yeah. Yeah, because I think even he sees the faulty
nature of this kou Kuda tah, but I thought it
was funny how he's like, oh I git how he
laughs about being called a dumbass. And then they joke
about Cali being a slot. He's like, I could have
warned you about that one. Your baby's not even cylon.

(18:43):
And so Chief goes back into the like air vents
and he goes through the toilets and it stinks like pooh.

Speaker 3 (18:51):
And that whole time, I'm just like, my back hurt's
just watching you. His knees must just hurt too, right,
his knees and his neck and his arms.

Speaker 2 (19:00):
And he told the guy, He's like, I'm so tired,
and he's like, you're not tired.

Speaker 3 (19:04):
You're a machine.

Speaker 2 (19:05):
And he's like, whatever, if I'm a machine, you're dumbass.
And so he finally gets to the area he was
supposed to get to and he takes out a specific
thing that from this thing to stop the FTL drive
from functioning. And then I don't know, I'm guessing they're

(19:27):
setting up for another episode. But he looks over and
there's like this big gash on the side of the
ship and I'm like, is there dinosaurs in this episode?
What is going on?

Speaker 3 (19:39):
It's like, oh no, I thought.

Speaker 2 (19:43):
I was like, oh my god, is that where the
scales come in? But yeah, they didn't go anywhere with that.
He just said, oh no, and it cuts away. Another
one that they kind of left hanging was what happened
to Starbuck and Andnders because they they like, so Anders

(20:04):
get shot like in the back or something in the neck,
I don't know, somewhere sensitive.

Speaker 3 (20:10):
Yeah, he is not okay.

Speaker 2 (20:12):
Yeah, And Kara's like, ah, I finally care about my husband,
even though I made out with Lee like two hours ago. Uh,
and I've never felt more alive. And everybody's like, girl,
what are we doing? Like there, We're like, we have

(20:32):
a baby with us.

Speaker 3 (20:34):
There was so much yelling in that scene.

Speaker 2 (20:35):
There was so much happening, not.

Speaker 3 (20:37):
Track what everyone wanted to do.

Speaker 2 (20:39):
Yeah, And so she finally was like, Lee, go to
your father, Go rescue your daddy. I'll take care of him.
I'll take him to Doc Coddle. And she's like dragging
him through the ship and she's in the middle of
a hallway when the lawyer Lampkin is being escorted out
of the lawyer room, I guess, and the guard that's

(21:03):
with him is like, what the fuck you better freeze
and Lampkin has like a pen. Is it a pen?

Speaker 3 (21:09):
Yeah? Because later he calls him his pen pal.

Speaker 2 (21:11):
Yeah, he grabs this pen and stabs the guy a
bunch of times and murders him.

Speaker 3 (21:16):
I think that's like the third pen the neck stabbing
in the show.

Speaker 2 (21:20):
Yeah, they really like to go for the pen in
the neck. And then he like casually grabs his glasses,
his sunglasses, and he's like all right, and then I
forget what he says.

Speaker 3 (21:32):
Uh, He's like, fuck you guys, not worth it. Oh yeah,
but then he turns back to help get unders to
the doctor hopefully Doc Coddle. Doc Coddle must be having
a hell of a day.

Speaker 2 (21:43):
Right, So many murdered bodies in the middle of the hallways,
like holy shit, but yeah, that we know, we don't
know what happens with them after that. And then but
Lea Dama gets his daddy out and they're all of
like then their group like doubles in size because of
all the people in the jail are also coming out.

(22:05):
And well, like, the last that Felix heard about doctor
Admiral Adama was that he was thrown out the airlock,
right or executed. He's like, you better execute Colonel Adama
and he's like, yes, Cirtain.

Speaker 3 (22:18):
Yeah that's true. Yeah, he got the word that he
had been that the order is being carried out.

Speaker 2 (22:23):
Yeah, but in reality, Adama is coming out with his
crew and all his people, and the countdown as it's
going off is like leading them in, and Felix is like,
there's going to be a wreck because the FTL drive
doesn't go through, and that's when Adama shows up.

Speaker 3 (22:41):
Yeah. I think that's the moment that Gata kind of.

Speaker 2 (22:45):
Faces the music, yeah, or realizes the jig is up.
But Zrek is still like not sure, like he doesn't know.
He's like, what are you doing? We got to get
this back online. We've got to go because he thinks
that Laura Roslin is about to like annihil it the ship.

Speaker 3 (23:01):
Yeah, because because.

Speaker 2 (23:02):
She thinks Adama's dead and there's nothing to live for.

Speaker 3 (23:05):
Now, and she's threatening to use every weapon she has.
But I'm like, well, did you ask the cylons if
you can do that? Because they're not your weapons.

Speaker 2 (23:14):
There are a tonomous beings.

Speaker 3 (23:16):
Imagine like as soon as she says that, she like
looks behind her and they're all right, A right, he's nukes.

Speaker 2 (23:24):
We still have another Sylon army to defeat, Like, what
are you talking about, Laura, we're running away from shit.
We need our guns. So Zack is like panicking, but
Gaida's oddly cant and I love the juxtaposition of their energies.
And it goes throughout until the end. Like you can tell,
Zeric is like zipping, like freaking, like not okay with

(23:48):
his final verdict, with like how he's ending up like
in front of a firing squad, and he looks over
to Gaida, and Gaida's like calm as shit.

Speaker 3 (23:58):
I mean, they both kind of smile, but I.

Speaker 2 (24:00):
Feel like Xeric smiles nervous, whereas Gata's is like accepting.
But maybe I'm wrong.

Speaker 3 (24:06):
I mean I can see Zack believing he's going down
a martyr, yeah, just how he'd want to go. Yeah. Yeah.
So there's a nice little conversation with Gata and Baltar.
Kata's kind of he's at peace with himself there at
the end, and like that's like physically manifests itself in
his leg pain stopping right before he's executed.

Speaker 2 (24:29):
It was a sad end that character. I feel like
the way that he went out was kind of shitty.
I wish they would have had a trial like that
would have been cool. Another episode with Kata's trial and
Xeric too, like I would and like yeah, I would
have had I mean, yeah, it was it was sad.
I was sad to see this was their last episode.
I'm interested to see what they're going to do with

(24:51):
the Quorum and how they're going to rebuild the government
and establish safety and like try to I wonder what
type of actions they will enact to prevent this from
happening again.

Speaker 3 (25:05):
A Dama's going to appoint twelve people he likes to
the quorum, So it's.

Speaker 2 (25:11):
Going to be like Leadama's Starbuck Like five cylons. I
feel like they need to differentiate the cylons that they
have a treaty with and the cilons that are still
actively trying to kill them. And the problem is that
the cylons that are trying to kill them haven't shown
up in a while to try to kill them. So

(25:32):
the only anger and frustration towards the silons that they
have is like the only target that they have is
the silence that are in front of.

Speaker 3 (25:41):
Them, and there hasn't been a moment where like they're
fighting alongside these cylons.

Speaker 2 (25:47):
Yeah, you need to have a brother in arms.

Speaker 3 (25:49):
The way like Athena has been fighting alongside them, so
most people have accepted her.

Speaker 2 (25:54):
Yeah. Yeah, they need to have that moment where they're
side by side against a common enemy and I but
they haven't had that opportunity, and that's where all of
this turmoil is coming from. Even that guy Kelly said it,
He's like, I respect you, but I can't work with
somebody who is going to accept these silence and isn't

(26:17):
trying to fight them. And I feel like he is
trying to fight them. It's just a different silons. You
can't differentiate, you fucking racist. I don't know. It's interesting.
I really enjoyed it because it was more heady. It
was more like thinking about the idea of how justice
can be used as a weapon against like so called tyranny,

(26:41):
but it's also an it is it is held by
people who are being treacherous, an anti government, And like,
what was the plan after, Like if everything was to
go your way, if Laura Roslin zoomed out into outer
space with the other silons, got rid of the cylons
that you hated, and Madama was executed and you were

(27:05):
in charge, what was the plan Because you do not
have any experience commanding a ship against a Cylon Army.
So what's going to happen when the bad silence come
and it's fucking Felix Gaeta and Tom's Eric in charge.
I don't know. I don't think they thought it through.
They're like Peacetime operators.

Speaker 1 (27:22):
You know, Astoral queen, who was the standout character in
the episode?

Speaker 2 (27:31):
All right, who's your astral queen?

Speaker 3 (27:33):
Astral queen for this episode? I mean it's tough because again,
it's like everyone kind of played a role in helping
out in the situation. I think Chief Tyrell's a front
runner again.

Speaker 2 (27:46):
Right, he's been a front runner again.

Speaker 3 (27:49):
Can also consider that guy Aaron Kelly, because he's the.

Speaker 2 (27:53):
One that like decides to help.

Speaker 3 (27:56):
Yeah, he helps, He lets the Chief go and changes teams.

Speaker 2 (27:59):
I don't like him though, I think I'm gonna pick
a dama.

Speaker 3 (28:03):
What's your reasoning?

Speaker 2 (28:04):
He he had the foresight to know that he was
gonna hold it down. He's like, let me stay back,
I'm gonna get my shit back. And he freed prisoners.
He tied motherfuckers up instead of murdering them, like because
ty was about to like straight up mark that guy
who was like I hate cylons and he's like, fuck

(28:24):
you man, I'm a Stylon was like, no, stand down,
tie him up and stick. And I think he was
true to his words. There was a reckoning coming, like
who doesn't love a self fulfilling prophisee?

Speaker 3 (28:38):
Yeah, so you're picking the admiral. Yeah. Laura Roslin also
does a lot. And then Lee and Starbuck for the prisoners,
which at the end of the last episode we were
unclear on what we're Starbuck and Lee were, but they
were on the way to rescue people. Yeah. I mean
I think I'm just gonna pick Chief Tyroll again.

Speaker 2 (28:57):
Yeah. He bled for that team.

Speaker 3 (29:00):
I mean he ripped part of the ship open with
his hands to get that the drive offline. Yeah, looked
like it hurts.

Speaker 2 (29:06):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (29:06):
I would have just been like, well I tried.

Speaker 2 (29:09):
Yeah. I would have been like, I don't have a wrench,
so I can't do.

Speaker 3 (29:12):
The right passwords. So all'll go home now, all right,
Chief Tyrrel and Admiral Odama, if you get your pens
back on your suit or awards are coming. So that
wraps up the tragedy of Felix Kata, but of course
we will be back to cover the next episode, which
is called No Exit and so if you don't want

Speaker 3 (30:13):
One spoiler section who next episode is the return of
Ellen Tay.

Speaker 2 (30:20):
Finally it happened to me. She's still messy. I'm excited
talk about her reckoning, So that'll be fun. What's gonna
happen with that?

Speaker 3 (30:37):
Gosh, man, that's a that's a big problem for Galactica.
He's basically like her spine is breaking, so a little
like Wonders. Yeah, actually that kind of ties into that.
So what they end up doing with Anders is he
basically they hook him up to be like the hybrids

(30:57):
because well he is conscious again for a while. He
definitely has some conversations with the other final five as
they get into some of their backstory. But yeah, then
he is basically unresponsive until they put him in that
bathtub and hook him up. And then the Galactica meanwhile
ends up getting repairs with Cylon technology, which is like

(31:17):
that red goo that you see in the Cylon ships,
like all along the walls. Uh huh. They are repairing
Galactica with that, and it's some sort of like organic
material and kind of works its way into all of
Galactica's systems and allows Anders speed plugged into Galactica and
have control over the systems.

Speaker 2 (31:35):
Oh, that's weird. I don't like that.

Speaker 3 (31:37):
They don't like that, but they end up needing it
on their final mission.

Speaker 2 (31:42):
And then they decommission Galactica, right, I think that was
the end of it.

Speaker 3 (31:47):
They fly it into the sun. Oh wow, that is
an interesting choice that we will talk about when it
comes to that in the finale.

Speaker 2 (31:57):
Yes, all right, well that was a good episode.

Speaker 3 (32:01):
Yeah, and there's not a whole lot left and we've
got six more episodes plus a movie. Right, Well, we've
got nothing else. So thanks for joining us, and we'll
see you next time, and one day there will be reckoning.
