Speaker 1 (00:00):
Welcome to Spacing Out with BB and Jason this week
covering Battlestar Galacticus Season four, episode seven, Guess What's Coming
to Dinner?

Speaker 2 (00:10):
Ye, welcome back.

Speaker 3 (00:15):
I'm BB and I'm Jason, and this is Spacing Out
where today we will be discussing Battlestar Galactica. If you
are new to the show, welcome, and you should know
that we're going to have a spoiler section at the
end of the podcast where we are free to discuss
future events in the series, but otherwise we won't be
spoiling anything past this episode, which is Battlestar Galactica Season four,

(00:38):
episode seven, Guess What's Coming to.

Speaker 2 (00:40):
Dinner a play on a very famous movie called Guess
Who's Coming to Dinner with Sidney Portier. Yes, indeed was
that part of the trivia.

Speaker 3 (00:51):
Maybe out We'll just have to see.

Speaker 2 (00:54):
I was like, that sounds so familiar. Did I say
his name right? I have said it wrong.

Speaker 3 (00:59):
This originally aired on May sixteenth, two thousand and eight.
Written by Michael and Jelly, directed by Wayne Rose. The
survivor count is thirty nine thousand, six hundred and seventy
three people, which is a loss of two from last time.
In this episode, the rebel Silon faction requests an alliance
with the Colonials in order to plan a joint attack
mission against the Cylon's resurrection hub. Leadama and the Quorum

(01:22):
express their mistrust of President Roslin and her secrecy regarding
the new Silon alliance. Colonel Tye struggles with the prospects
of unboxing the Threes in order to reveal the identities
of the final five, and Gata copes with the amputation
of his leg I singing this all.

Speaker 1 (01:37):
Walk vibe check. Did we like the episode overall? How
does it stand the test of time?

Speaker 3 (01:48):
All right, bib how does episode stack up for you?

Speaker 2 (01:51):
I liked it. It was good, It was entertaining. I
was like in it, and I was interested in like
everybody's reactions and actions, and I liked it. It was
a good episode. I feel like things are moving.

Speaker 1 (02:06):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (02:06):
I think at this point in season four, like I'm
just having fun, you know, where everything's kind of moving
along our I think earlier in the season it felt
like maybe a little embalanced, and our characters are spread out,
so we're telling kind of disparate storylines. Yeah, but now
they've all come together.

Speaker 2 (02:24):
Right, there's a convergence or something. I don't know what
to kind of describe it, but it's like it's a
pivot point where everything's kind of turning and moving, and
it's really engaging to see the way that everybody's kind
of dealing with the fact that we're moving forward with
finding out about the final five and this seeming alliance

(02:48):
with the Cylons, and then there's all this stuff with
Laura and the opera house and stuff that's kind of
also getting a little more clear somehow, or it's more
coming more to light. Yeah, so that's interesting.

Speaker 3 (03:04):
Also, I really like how the fact that these the
final four Cylons, because they have this secret identity, like
every scene that they're in just has this extra layer
of tension, and you know they're they're cutting the kernel
tize eyes all the time. It's just like, oh.

Speaker 2 (03:19):
Shit, well you mean his eye.

Speaker 3 (03:22):
Yes, he's acting twice as hard with that one eye.

Speaker 2 (03:27):
Yeah, it's so good. Yeah, he looks extra sneaky just
rolling around and when I going back and forwards. So yeah,
I like this episode and I'm really excited to see
what the fuck is going to happen in the next one.
And I think that's a good sign for a show.

Speaker 3 (03:46):
Yeah, it looks like the character just splitting up again though.

Speaker 2 (03:49):
Yeah, but that's so crazy trivia time.

Speaker 1 (03:55):
What facts could we uncover for Guess What's Coming to Dinner?

Speaker 3 (03:58):
It's a little bit of trivia. So the title, as
you mentioned, comes from the nineteen sixty seven film Guess
Who's Coming to Dinner, dealt with race relations and an
interracial marriage in America in the sixties.

Speaker 2 (04:10):
Great, this white lady brings her black boyfriend to dinner.
And they're still fucking making this movie today, by the way,
like there was one with it was like the rules
were reversed, So it's this black woman bringing her white
boyfriend to dinner, and I'm pretty sure it was like
Ashton Kocher, some white man like that with Eddie Murphy
or something like that. They're making this the shit like

(04:33):
we are in twenty twenty three, and there are still
things to be said about interracial relationships and how like
weird and like potentially like upsetting they can be to
the families involved. And I'm like, wow, it's like been
more than forty years now. I don't even know. Maybe

(04:56):
I'm bad at maths, so it's probably been even longer
nineteen sixty. That's somebody in their like fifties. So it's
been fifty years and we're still having conversations about how
difficult it is for families to engage with a mixed
race like relationship. And I'm like, we have not moved

(05:16):
the needle, not even a millimeter. What the fuck? So
I wish they had more pylons of color so that
there was an element of real race in this show.
There's not a lot of black characters or characters of
color that take on the spotlight a lot. I can

(05:38):
only think of two characters off the top of my head,
and that would be Gata and Sharon. But they don't
talk about race in this show in terms of like
phonetic race or whatever. What do you call it, Like,
you know, like the fact that you have like different
body characteristics, two different you as a person of a

(06:02):
certain race. I don't know. I don't think phonetic is
the right word. I don't know, but I'm sure there's.

Speaker 3 (06:08):
A word for it. Yeah, So they talked about race
usually in terms of like their nationality with the different
planets that they're.

Speaker 2 (06:16):
From, and then the cylon race.

Speaker 3 (06:18):
The human race, and the Cylon race right right.

Speaker 2 (06:21):
And it's just so hard to buy that when they're
right passing it. I feel like they would get a
freebie because they look like us and they talk like us,
and it's like, well, I can kind of trust that.
But if there was some element of real differentiality between
the two groups, I would I think it. Maybe they

(06:44):
didn't want to push that so hard because it was
like during the Obama era where we were past race allegedly,
you know what I mean. We're like in a post
race society, so we don't see race. But it's interesting
that they chose to name this movie or this episode
after a movie that dealt with race, and then they

(07:08):
never really deal with race in a real way. And
we can get more into it. I guess I'm getting
into it already. We can do you want to just
do that? Or do you have another? Do you have another? Trivia?

Speaker 3 (07:19):
Yeah? I do?

Speaker 2 (07:20):
Okay, go ahead, Sorry.

Speaker 3 (07:22):
Felix Kata. It's played by Alessandro Giuliani. He has a
bachelor's degree in vocal slash opera performance, and he performed
the song titled Gada's Lament live on set. Was written
by writer Michael and Jelly based on a song of
his wife. Karen and Jelly composed and series composer Bear
McCurry did the arrangement and integrated it throughout the episode.

(07:45):
It was a.

Speaker 2 (07:45):
Pretty song, but I wish we would have heard it
at least once all the way through, because it sounded
really repetitive after a while, and like he kept singing
the same note, and I wish we could have had
it one chance where it was like hyper focused on
him and singing the whole song, not just him for
a minute and then cuts to Laura Roslin and then
his voice fades into the background. But it was cool

(08:08):
to see Felix singing disagree, But Okay, I just wanted
to hear the whole song because I want. I when
I hear a song, I know that usually there's a narrative,
and I'm really interested in what the cultural narratives are
in this universe. And for me to only hear like

(08:30):
she walks around or whatever the lyrics were, I'm like,
I need more. I want more. I want because it
gives me like a little a little.

Speaker 4 (08:39):
Taste culture, you know what I mean, Like a little
bit of like the day to day lives of the
people on Galactica and in these this universe, and I
just wanted a little bit more time with him, like
I want like the lament.

Speaker 2 (08:56):
Was there in his voice, but the lyrics I didn't
understand and I couldn't. I couldn't connect with the song
because it was chopped up and given to me fragmented,
and I one time, just at least the chorus throughout
the whole thing, like give me, give me one time,
where I hear the whole thing. Now, okay, but it

(09:16):
was cool to I didn't know. He staid he had
a beautiful voice. Holy shit. I was like, Gata did that.
And then Laura even said, what a terrible way to
find out he has a beautiful voice.

Speaker 1 (09:31):
Deep Space Dive. Let's break down some of our thoughts
on the episode. You can share your thoughts with us
through email, Facebook, or Twitter. We may use your comments
on an upcoming episode.

Speaker 2 (09:44):
Oh well, we can talk about the beginning. We talked
a little bit about it yesterday during the spoiler episode.
So like in the beginning of this episode, they're getting
ready to coordinate their jump to Galactica with the base ship,
the Cylon base ship. That's very important because it's a
Cylon ship and the Demetrius and they're like three two

(10:09):
one jump and then all of a sudden, the Dimitris
can't jump. They like blurp. They're so fucked up, and
Galactica is like what the fuck. They're like starting emergency
jumping sequences and everybody's going in the red again, and
Colonel ty gets real quiet and he's like something's not

(10:31):
right and they're about to like shoot the motherfuckers down,
and Colonel Ties like cold fire. Somehow, for some reason,
his command overrides Colonel Ladamas and they stop everything they're
doing and they stop long enough for Dimitris to show

(10:54):
up and be like, hey, Starbucks on that ship, and
a Dama's.

Speaker 3 (10:58):
Like, I want to kill that baby.

Speaker 2 (11:01):
So it was weird moment of like clarity from Colonel Tye,
like he knew something was going on, and it was
really interesting to see that from him. And it's like
as his cylon sense is tingling what's going.

Speaker 3 (11:15):
On and again like just a look in his eye
when he makes that call, like he's very freaked out.

Speaker 2 (11:21):
Yeah, like something in him told him don't do it.

Speaker 3 (11:24):
Yeah. It leads me to the question I asked in
the spoiler section last time, Like, why not have the
Demitrius go just thirty seconds before them?

Speaker 2 (11:32):
Yeah, I don't know. I don't know, but Starbucks had
to make it all at the same time. We're going together.
She's like mutually assured destruction in three two one, and
they're like, oh, I can't, I'm sorry.

Speaker 3 (11:45):
But and again like when they jump there, they jumped
so close to all the ships.

Speaker 2 (11:50):
Yeah, I was surprised they didn't hit anybody.

Speaker 3 (11:52):
His face is big. It's you don't have to be
that crowded when you're.

Speaker 2 (11:56):
Right and you they could have jumped like to the perimeter.
They showed up right in the middle of their dratus
or whatever they call that little I don't know, radar
thing they have, so like you jumped right in the middle,
but you could have jumped like just on the outside
of it where they didn't even clock you, and then
like flown in. But it's you know, you got to

(12:17):
suspend your disbelief to enjoy the show. But so now
we have the Cylons in Galactica and they propose their
truce to really interesting group of people. I didn't expect
Colonel Tie to be in this in the group for
some reason. I thought it'd be like a smaller group

(12:39):
of people. He's usually in these top secret meetings things. Yeah,
you know, second in command. I guess the reason I
didn't see him there is because I know he's a
Cylon and I'm like, why.

Speaker 3 (12:49):
What do you have there? Trust him more than anyone?

Speaker 2 (12:53):
Yeah, for real, that's crazy. That's crazy that he's a
cylon and he's got such a deep in on like
what's going on in this universe. Same with Tory, honestly, like,
and you can tell like that her and Rosalind's relationship
took a turn in this episode.

Speaker 3 (13:13):
Yeah, Tory, you know, she's she's been having a lot
of fun the last few episodes.

Speaker 2 (13:17):
She did do and what she wants fucking who she wants?

Speaker 3 (13:20):
Not fun anymore. Laura rejects her.

Speaker 2 (13:23):
Right when she challenges like her loyalty specifically. Yeah, She's like,
I don't think I have my I don't think my
trust and my friendship means anything to you because you're
obviously going in there. And she's like, and I want
to know where these fucking rumors are coming in, So
you're going to be a spy for me now, which
is kind of fucked. Like Laura's such a cutthroat bitch.

(13:45):
She could have just like said, I don't trust you
anymore and I'm leaving it at that, but she's like, no,
I don't trust you anymore, but you're fucking working for me, bitch,
And I'm like, oh, Laura, and so Tory, you can
tell she is really hurt by being challenged and being
found out and having her double identity life, well, her

(14:07):
triple identity life. She's got like three different lives going
right now. She's a Cylon, she's a Baltar Head, and
then she's also the aid to the president. So she's
like juggling identities right.

Speaker 3 (14:18):
Now, three that we know of. Maybe she's.

Speaker 2 (14:23):
She's also a chef with Radakooney, but so like when
those two worlds collide, it really affects her to the
point where she's like and Laura was like, I hate
using this word, but I feel like.

Speaker 3 (14:44):
I got to use it.

Speaker 2 (14:45):
I don't know should I. She was savage. She was like,
you're gonna get on your knees and do it one
way or another. I don't care if it's for praying
or for something else, but you're gonna find out. And
I'm like, bitch, what she said, I can't believe she
said that. She's like, on your knees, you're gonna find out.
And I'm like, oh my god, that is slutshaming. And

(15:08):
I'm like, Laura, I didn't think you were a slutshamer.
What a bitch? And I was like, whatever, okay. So
Tori feeling shamed because she's looks up to the president
and you know she I think she does care about
her position a lot. But so she's like, I'm gonna
do this for Laura. And she kind of confronts Baltar

(15:31):
and she's like, where are you? Why are you lying
about the president? And he's like, I don't think it's
a lie because he has it from a good source.
And he reveals that Six told him a long time ago.
So he's known this and he's kept it under his
hat for a really long time. And then now that
he has this podcast, he's like, I'm gonna tell the world.

(15:55):
I'm gonna spill the tea on Laura Roslin and her crazy.

Speaker 3 (16:01):
Well, he does these broadcasts pretty frequently, so he's gonna
be digging deep for material.

Speaker 2 (16:06):
Right, Oh yeah, you know what I had for breakfast?
So and then Laura also has to deal with Leadama
kind of hounding her about like the quorum wants to
vote her out because they don't have confidence in her,

(16:26):
and they heard about the rumors, and she's like, well,
the rumors are true. What are you going to do
about it? You ain't me. You don't have to worry
about these bitches like I have to worry about them.
I'm doing the best I can and you ain't shit, Leodama,
You're not the president. And I was like she was
on a roll. She was like talking everybody down in

(16:48):
the season in this episode, and I feel like Lee
took that with Stride and he like he's like, well, look,
I don't want you to be in this position. I
like you for some reason, even though you're kind of
being an asshole right now, and I'm gonna give you
some solutions on what you can do to maybe get

(17:08):
these motherfuckers off your back. And she listens, which is
to her credit, She's like, Okay, well, I can definitely
bring on their leader and she can talk to them.
And meanwhile, while they're doing all this, the Cylons are
getting together and scheming and trying to like be like,
I don't know, man, these humans, we can't trust them,

(17:30):
so they come up with another plan for the plan
that they already have. So they make a secret plan,
and then there's another secret plan, and then there's another
secret plan on the other side too, So there's like
secret plans on both sides to do secret things. And
I'm just like Jesus Christ, this is so complicated. If

(17:52):
y'all would just trust each other, it would be fine.
But I think when so like, the Cylons are like,
we're gonna have this cheerians go balls out and like
just start like taking people hostages, and we're gonna take
over the ship. We got the upper hand on this
because that's our ship and that's like their plan. But

(18:14):
then she changes her mind after she talks to the
quorum because she's like, I mean, they looked at me
like they fucking hate my guts, but we're talking about
peace and they believe it, so maybe we should like
cancel our plans. And Leeopen's like, we can't do that.
The Centurions are committed, and once they're committed, it's really

(18:36):
hard to talk them out of it. I like that
about them too. The Centurions are like, bit, we're gonna
put guns on the people.

Speaker 3 (18:44):
They're not foot ploppers.

Speaker 2 (18:45):
No, they like, no, we already decided we have a union.
It went through, so we're gonna go through with the
plan whether you like it or not. If you didn't
like the plan, you should have thought it over before
you implemented it, Okay. And that's all crazy, and I'm
just like breathing because there's so much tax happening.

Speaker 3 (19:07):
And then well her other point in that was like,
why why haven't the final five come forward? And like
if they just present themselves as these you know, violent
backstabbers and the final five wouldn't ever come and join.

Speaker 2 (19:22):
Them, right, And they're like, maybe we're being judged right
now and we don't maybe this is a test and
we're failing and we don't want to fail. We're rebels.
And it's interesting that the final five are there because
they're like, because that's what they reveal. They're like, the
final five were here, and I'm like, where though, because

(19:42):
we only count four, so where's the fifth one? But
that's regardless, the final five are there and they will
be revealed, and everybody wants to know, except for the
final five. Colonel Ties like, no, let's just blow them up.
Let's just fucking kill them, and they're coming up with
a plan, the secret plan, and they're like, no, let's

(20:05):
find out who this final five are and then we'll
kill him. And then he's like god damn it. And
they get together because Colonel Tye is still having his
secret meetings with the others.

Speaker 3 (20:17):
Yeah, and he's.

Speaker 2 (20:18):
Telling them about the secret plan, and I'm like, god
damn it.

Speaker 3 (20:22):
Tie, and everyone in that meeting is like focused on
something else because the chief is just like, well, I
guess we'll know who number five is, right as if
that matters before you die.

Speaker 2 (20:32):
Right, well, and even Colonel Ties, like, what do you
expect them to do? Give you a fucking medal? Like
you think this is good news? Like I think Colonel
Tie has the most realistic view, And like, obviously Andres
is dealing with the guilt.

Speaker 3 (20:48):
Of fucking up Gata. Yeah, we see that a lot
in the episode. He's kind of haunted by Gata singing
yeah oh yeah. He's not very present in that meeting.

Speaker 2 (21:00):
No, and then Torri's dealing with Roslin's shit and Baltar
and all that juggling her white people.

Speaker 3 (21:08):
We also see Boltar kind of walking by Gaeta and
just looking in from a distance, taking notice their relationship is,
you know, very strained. Oh yeah, yeah, but you can
tell there's still some feelings there.

Speaker 2 (21:21):
I love that. I love all that queer undertone of
that whole situation.

Speaker 3 (21:25):
Speaking of Baltar, Baltar has now entered the opera house vision.

Speaker 2 (21:30):
Oh yeah, he's entered the chat yep. Oh my god.
And this brings him into Roslin's feelers, Like she was
already like keeping an eye on Boltar, but now she's like,
I got to keep this motherfucker close.

Speaker 3 (21:52):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (21:52):
And so Kiara approaches Roslin and is like, what's going
on because I just got a weird cryptic message from
a diet I don't know if she's dead technically because
she's unplugged the hybrid. Yeah, She's like, I just got
a weird message from the Hybrid and I'm pretty sure

(22:14):
it's about you, and I'm pretty sure you're having visions
about an opera house. And she's like, what the fuck
are you talking about? Who told you this? And once
she finds out it's the Hybrid, she's like, I need
to get my ass on that ship, and I'm bringing
Baltar because he's somehow a part of this, right and

(22:35):
they're up there with some Sharon model. I don't know
who the fuck that Sharon is who brought them in
and is like doing all the technical work for them.
But as soon as she plugs that bitch and she's
like jump and they disappear, and I'm like, the leader
of the free world just disappeared on an enemy ship.

Speaker 3 (22:55):
What the fuck?

Speaker 2 (22:56):
What the fuck?

Speaker 3 (22:58):
And it's edited in a way to make you presume
that that jump command is tied to Athena shooting the
number six Natalie in the hallway.

Speaker 2 (23:09):
Right right, because Athena is also having these visions and
in like the most prominent part in her vision is
that her baby girl is running to number six and
then the doors close, which is very symbolic of like
having her child taken away, which has happened way too
many times to Athena.

Speaker 3 (23:29):
So yeah, so we're creepy ass baby, very creepy Hara. Yeah.
First with the standing by the bed and saying goodbye.

Speaker 2 (23:39):
Yeah, she's like goodbye mother, and then with the coloring
and she's like just six six six, six', six she's, demonic,
man send her. Back that baby was like not your.
Baby so she's apparently obsessed with number, six drawing this

(24:00):
blonde cylon woman in every page of her coloring.

Speaker 3 (24:04):
Book, yes AND i.

Speaker 2 (24:06):
Don't know why or, how But harah leaves the door.

Speaker 3 (24:09):
Open, yeah she's so distracted by the multiple pages of number.

Speaker 2 (24:14):
Six is but the first thing you do when you
walk into your home is you close the door and
lock it behind, you, Right she's that's what you. Do
athena's really, fucked, like she's, like what the fuck is going?
On it's like her visions are coming true your worst.

Speaker 3 (24:30):
Fears we're seeing the opera house and the hallways of
The galactica kind of being mirroring that vision the child
running away and approaching number.

Speaker 2 (24:39):
Six the funniest part to me is When hanah goes
to number six and we have her running into, people
Like athena is running into people and she's, like have
you seen my? Baby and they're like, no and then
they just go on about their. Day they're not, like
well where is? She like oh my, god you lost?

(25:00):
Her let me help you find? Her like nobody looks
like they're doing. That and like maybe a little Bit
chief kind of a little bit gets into. It he's
like he like he's not there's no like real genuine.
Concern it's more.

Speaker 3 (25:15):
Like he's, curious, Curiosity we'll see what's going on with.

Speaker 2 (25:18):
This, Yeah and somehow he bumps into them, too so
he's like close Behind, athena And athena is With colonel
tie And Colonel tye is like trying to de escalate
the situation Because athena pulls out a gun and she's,
like you get the fuck away from my, baby you.
Bitch you're not gonna take my. Baby and she's, like

(25:40):
we're not trying to take your. Baby we brought your baby.
Back and it's like.

Speaker 3 (25:45):
What So.

Speaker 2 (25:47):
Colonel tye is, like oh my, god you are like
we just like we're trying to de. Escalate we're trying
to work with these. Cylons we're trying to like keep the.
Peace And athena Tells tyryl get my baby and And
tyrol's like what and she And ties like do. What she, says,

(26:09):
dude just do. It And i'm like in my, Head
i'm like, thinking you're going from one silon to the, other,
baby like it doesn't. Matter she's still with the cylon.
Uh but Obviously athena doesn't know. That and so as
soon As hara is out of the. Way she fucking

(26:29):
shoots number six and it reminds me of When sharon
got shot in the hallway AND i was, like what the,
fuck that's. CRAZY i was, like that's that felt really
reminiscent of, that AND i felt it felt gross a
little bit like AND i don't know if other cylons were.

Speaker 3 (26:45):
THERE i don't think, so because she was alone.

Speaker 2 (26:47):
Representing on the presidential, ship right or The.

Speaker 3 (26:51):
Yeah well they this was after the when she reconvened
With leoben and that other number, eight and So leoben
was gonna try to talk to those centurions and she
was going to go stall On glad to try to
stop the secret plan they'd put in.

Speaker 2 (27:05):
Place, right, WELL i think this is definitely gonna halt
things because that's that was so. MESSY i don't, Know
i'm really concerned and like the shitty thing is like
that was a final death, right that was a final
Death SO i don't, know, she Like, athena fucked, up
AND i Think roslind did. TOO i think the people

(27:27):
who are having these visions are really letting them like
take them for a, ride AND i don't, know we'll
see what.

Speaker 3 (27:34):
Happens also when When athena's running through the hallway asking
people if they'd Seen, haarah one of the people she
stops IS. D i was, like holy, shit we haven't
seen d in so? Long, right she has like one
line and she's.

Speaker 2 (27:46):
Out and she doesn't give a fuck about your. Kid
she's like that half sylom. BABY i don't give a
fuck about that half sylum.

Speaker 3 (27:54):
Baby, so like another, POINT i wrote down THAT i
took this from somewhere and remember. Where i'm sorry you
can't credit anyone for, this but the prophecy that The
hybrid gives To, starbuck calling her The harbinger Of, death
you can potentially interpret that now is That starbuck will
be the one to remove immortality from The. Cylons, hm

(28:16):
that makes.

Speaker 2 (28:17):
SENSE i thought she was going to murder, everybody like
there's going to be a nuclear bomb and it was
because Of. Starbuck but if she's bringing the final death
to the, cylons that makes sense.

Speaker 3 (28:26):
Too, yeah and do you have any other thoughts on the? Episode, um.

Speaker 2 (28:33):
It was good to See. Leadama we haven't seen him
in a. While feel like his character is always like very.
Logical welse was this was? True it was good to
See adama, too just The.

Speaker 3 (28:44):
Adamas, yeah it's good to see like everybody kind of
we've been, getting you, know episodes that are missing characters,
lately and like we said, before like this is these
storylines kind of dubtailing. Together it's interesting That anders is
not seeming to face any sort of punishment for Shooting
gata and the mutiny and all. That it's unclear if

(29:05):
they've really like talked about the mutiny or if everyone
is like sweeping that under the. Rug.

Speaker 2 (29:09):
YEAH i think they're like dealing with bigger issues And
gata is not really a priority to anyone except For
Doc coddle And. Andrews.

Speaker 3 (29:19):
Yeah, Well Colonel tye seemed concerned about why he got, shot,
right but he thought it was A cylon at.

Speaker 2 (29:24):
First not, yeah A cylon that he, knows but A
cylon that's like an enemy, cylon.

Speaker 3 (29:30):
Not one of his secret club. Members, right all, RIGHT
i think that does it for our deep space. Dive
we will go to the Astral queen.

Speaker 1 (29:44):
Astral, queen who was the standout character in the episode Astro.

Speaker 3 (29:49):
QUEEN i was, thinking my Astral, queen it's actually gonna
be number six Aka NATALIE. M for working towards, peace
and even after they created a secret, plan she decided
that we need to be on the side of morality
in this situation and kind of lost her life for.

Speaker 2 (30:10):
That she lost her life because she happened to look
like somebody's.

Speaker 3 (30:13):
Vision well, true but she wouldn't have been there at.

Speaker 2 (30:17):
All, right, right, right that's a good. One I'm i'm
not sure who to give it to. YOU i kind of
want to give it To Laura roslin for just like
being a.

Speaker 3 (30:30):
BITCH i was, thinking you're going to say that every
meeting she had.

Speaker 2 (30:37):
She was like bitching at, people like literally in the worst,
mood AND i really enjoyed. That so and she's also
like moving the plot. Forward So i'm going to give
it To.

Speaker 3 (30:49):
Laura Laura roslin doing the heavy, lifting.

Speaker 2 (30:52):
Plugging bitches back, in trying to figure shit.

Speaker 3 (30:54):
Out all, right then that's that's an award For Laura
roslin and a posts you want to award For Natalie.

Speaker 2 (31:01):
Dark that's so.

Speaker 3 (31:03):
Dark that does. It for the main part of the,
episode we're going to go into the spoiler. Section so
if you don't want to be, spoiled then this next
section is not for. You we will of, course be
back to cover the next, episode which is titled sinequa non.

Speaker 2 (31:19):
That's, latins, okay because that's what does it? MEAN i
guess we'll talk about it. Later, yep let's put our
living stereo stylus in this.

Speaker 1 (31:29):
Group grace for impact spoilers. Ahead if you haven't seen

four three two, one.

Speaker 2 (31:57):
Where do they jump? TO i don't, know you don't
know jump.

Speaker 3 (32:00):
AWAY i think they continuously are jumping like that hybrid
is just.

Speaker 2 (32:06):
They don't think to unplug her and figure out a way.

Speaker 3 (32:08):
HOME i don't think they can get home without.

Speaker 2 (32:11):
Her how do they fix? It i'm so concerned they just.

Speaker 3 (32:15):
DO i don't remember those. Details. UH i. Know some
violence happens And baltar is going to get really, injured
And roslyn asked to decide whether or not to save his.

Speaker 2 (32:25):
Life she will because He's. Baltar he can't.

Speaker 3 (32:27):
Die he's part of a. Vision.

Speaker 2 (32:29):
NOW i can't believe she told him your invit any other, Spoilers.

Speaker 3 (32:32):
Maybe that'll get him the stuff talking about it on the.

Speaker 2 (32:35):
Radio any other, Spoilers, JASON.

Speaker 3 (32:38):
I was thinking About tory AND i like the Way
roslyn rejects. Her that might be her. Away, YEAH i
think her pushing her away might be part of Why
tory will so willingly go stand with The cylons.

Speaker 2 (32:50):
Later, Yeah roslyn didn't give her any nope.

Speaker 3 (32:53):
COVER i think the next two episodes are going to
be interesting because IT'S i believe the next episodeisode, eight
it's going to be completely set On galactica and then
dealing with the fact that the president just disappeared in
an enemy ship and that Makes Tom zerk the president,
Finally and ACTUALLY i believe they're, like no one's going

(33:17):
to accept your, presidency so they start looking for someone
else to fill that.

Speaker 2 (33:21):
Role they're Like Lea, dama the what's his.

Speaker 3 (33:24):
Name the Lawyer baltar's lawyers back in the. Mix you Mean?

Speaker 2 (33:28):
Daredevil, yeah, okay, yeah he gives me daredevil. Vibes didn't
he pretend to be, blind.

Speaker 3 (33:39):
He pretends to be injured.

Speaker 2 (33:41):
To need a. Dog doesn't he have like a service?

Speaker 3 (33:43):
Dog? No he had a? Cat oh, Okay, no he
was he was injured in that, bombing but he pretended
to be like needing a crutch and stuff or, caine
not a. Crutch but, yeah so we have an episode
of that before we get to see what actually happens
on The Based, star and then we're in pretty close
to Finding earth because we got three more episodes to

(34:06):
the mid season, finale which will then probably be a
little bit of a break for us as we gear
up for the back half of the. Season and there
was also a writer's strike then that delayed the second
half of the season for a long.

Speaker 2 (34:20):
Time oh how history repeats.

Speaker 3 (34:22):
Itself can you, imagine you, know being in a world
where writers were on strike and shows were stopping production crazy.

Speaker 2 (34:30):
Times don't, worry you'll get your version of.

Speaker 3 (34:33):
It so, YEAH i THINK i don't know if there's
really much else to talk. About can you imagine if
the like the Fifth cylon was just some random person
that we've never seen. Before it would be.

Speaker 2 (34:46):
Cool if it was somebody from that ship that has
to do all that horrible work with that weird machine of.

Speaker 3 (34:52):
The like the. Refinery, yeah some some greasy guy who
like also heard that music but was LIKE i got
a job to.

Speaker 2 (35:00):
Do, yeah he didn't have the luxury sneaking off and having. Meetings.

Speaker 3 (35:05):
Cool well that's an, episode, Right.

Speaker 2 (35:07):
Yeah we did. It we talked about this show we
watch every.

Speaker 3 (35:11):
Week we watched, it we talked about, it we tore it.
Apart i'm really excited some friends along the.

Speaker 2 (35:17):
Way i'm really excited for them to reveal the cylons
and For Helen Tye Ellen.

Speaker 3 (35:23):
Tye Or Helen Ellen.

Speaker 2 (35:24):
Ellen For Ellen tye to come in with their blonde
hair and her leggy legs and be, like miss, me.

Speaker 3 (35:32):
She's such a.

Speaker 2 (35:33):
Skink i'd love. IT i remember when she got drunk
at their dinner party and she was like playing footsie
With Lea. Dama OH i missed those. Days now she's
like a high.

Speaker 3 (35:49):
Bee there's that, episode the one where, uh like the
terrorist attack that bar And billy dies And ellen is
in the bathroom and Like lee goes in there, too
and she's, like, oh is this really.

Speaker 2 (35:59):
Happening she's, like, Finally i've been putting my hooks in
you since you were. Eighteen. Oh she probably knew him
when he was like a little, boy which makes me, wonder,
like how does the sylon aging process? Happen Because Colonel
tye And Colonel adama Or Admiral adama have known each

(36:22):
other for.

Speaker 3 (36:23):
Years, yeah and so they don't totally ignore. That Like
adama mentions that when ty does finally reveal that he's a,
Cylon adama's, like, Bullshit i've seen you age over the
last twenty years or, whatever and he's, like, WELL i
guess it's different for. Me and that's kind of all
they say about.

Speaker 2 (36:41):
It, oh he's like in The final, Five so they
have special.

Speaker 3 (36:44):
Privileges, yeah or maybe like they age until they die
and resurrect.

Speaker 2 (36:50):
New and fully formed as twenty five year.

Speaker 3 (36:53):
Olds, yeah that's WHAT i plan to.

Speaker 2 (36:56):
DO i don't know IF i want to go back
to twenty five, Honestly oh was so.

Speaker 3 (37:00):
Chaotic, well you get to keep your same.

Speaker 2 (37:02):
MIND i don't know IF i could handle that being
in that young. Body i'd probably go back to. Chaos
it's like muscle.

Speaker 3 (37:11):
Memory you, know unless you're what's his, Name. CAVIL i
think he resurrects Old that's why he's so.

Speaker 2 (37:18):
BITTER i bet i'd be bitter if every TIME i
RESURRECTED i was like fucking. Fifty now he's probably what
do you think he. Is how old do you think
he is in this?

Speaker 3 (37:29):
SHOW i mean? Sixty you think?

Speaker 2 (37:32):
Sixty oh, wow that's so. Disgusting let me look. Up
he's really.

Speaker 3 (37:37):
Stem stockwell passed away In november twenty twenty.

Speaker 2 (37:41):
One oh rip.

Speaker 3 (37:43):
Cavil he was eighty. Five then when was he? Born
so in in two thousand and eight he would have
been seventy.

Speaker 2 (37:49):
Two oh, wow seventy two, yeah seventy.

Speaker 3 (37:53):
Two.

Speaker 2 (37:54):
Wow he looked really good for a seventy two year.
