Speaker 1 (00:00):
Welcome to Spacing Out with BB and Jason this week
covering the Battlestar Galactica web series The Face of the Enemy.
Speaker 2 (00:09):
Yeah, welcome back.
Speaker 3 (00:14):
I'm Beebe and I'm Jason, and this is Spacing Out
where today we have a special episode covering a Battlestar
Galactica web series. More on that in a moment, but first,
if you're new to the show, welcome, Also, this is
an odd place to start, but you should know that
we're going to have a spoiler section at the end
of the podcast where we're free to discuss future events
(00:35):
within the timeline of Battlestar Galactica, but otherwise we won't
be spoiling anything past this web series, which is called
The Face of the Enemy. This was a series of
ten webisodes that altogether combines about thirty three minutes in length,
and these aired quote unquote on sci fi dot Com
between December twelfth, two thousand and eight and January twelfth,
(00:59):
two thousand and nine. They were written by Jane Espinson
and Seemas Kevin Fahey, directed by Wayne Rose or not
giving a survivor count in these. So if you're you've
been watching along with the show and you're like, what
the hell is this web series? I don't see this
anywhere on peacock or anything. I should explain where you
can find it and why. It's kind of the pain
in the ass. So you can find most of the
(01:21):
webisodes on YouTube, with the exception of the final one,
episode ten. For some reason, anyone that tries to post
that episode gets it pulled by Universal.
Speaker 2 (01:32):
Universal won't publish it.
Speaker 3 (01:34):
Correct, so it's like a mystery. Yeah, so you can
watch the first nine episodes on YouTube. Some of them
are you know, separated by episode. Some of them are
edited into one long junk, which is actually how we
watched it. But for episode ten you can you know,
if you just google it, you'll find it. There's some
other like video sites that have it. You might have
(01:55):
to bootleg it, well not necessarily. It just can sketch
your sites in YouTube.
Speaker 2 (02:00):
Use your repn or whatever we got.
Speaker 3 (02:04):
I mean, you can also just like look up the
on Wikipedia or one of the Battlestar wikis just what
the storyline is. If all of this is too much trouble,
which it might be it is. I wish it was
easier because I like that this is a piece of
a story and.
Speaker 2 (02:20):
Yeah, I'd add some depth of character to Felix Gata
for sure.
Speaker 3 (02:25):
Yep. So I'll do the plot summary with a little
bit more detail than usual. In this episode, nine days
after the discovery of a devastated Earth, Lieutenant Gata ends
up stranded on board a Raptor with two Sylon Number
eights and three humans. A murder mystery ensues after one
of the eights is electrocuted and other crew members end
up dead, until it is revealed that the remaining Number
(02:46):
eight is the murderer. Flashbacks revealed that Gata was romantically
involved with this eight on New Kaprica. He provided her
with names of missing or detained resistance members under the
impression that she would attempt to free them, when in actuality,
they were being executed. The Eight accused Gata of knowing
her intentions and choosing self delusion. Gata stabs here in
the neck with a scalpel geez. Meanwhile, Lieutenant Hoshi, who
(03:09):
is currently in a romantic relationship with Gaeta, leads a
search and rescue mission. He and Racetrack eventually find Gata,
who has attempted to overdose on Morpha. Gata express his
intense displeasure with the Silent Alliance and demands to speak
to the Admiral, giving a cryptic message to Hoshi to
keep his head down and that something important will happen soon.
Speaker 1 (03:31):
Vibe check. Did we like the web series overall? How
does it stand the test of time?
Speaker 2 (03:37):
I liked that it was fun, it was short, it
was sweet, it was interesting, and we learned something about
a character that we don't really get to learn about.
Speaker 3 (03:47):
Yeah. Yeah, I mean, like I said, I think this
is a good piece of battle Star, and it's something
that I wish everyone was able to watch when they're
just doing a watch a Battle Star, which it wasn't.
Speaker 2 (03:59):
This implicated or convoluted.
Speaker 3 (04:01):
Yeah, it's convoluted, and it's kind of this kind of
side quest you have to go on to find it.
But I think it adds a lot to Gaeta's character.
I think there's you know, there's stuff to say in
the spoiler section about how it kind of influences his
character as well. Yeah, like you said, it's short, it's
not really long. We don't get you know, different lengths
of episodes in Battlestar. They all have to be this,
(04:22):
you know, forty five minute a story and this is
able to be a little bit shorter, and that's nice.
Speaker 2 (04:27):
Yeah, I like that, just a little a little smathering
of drama and intrigue, just a little.
Speaker 1 (04:32):
Taste trivia time. What facts could we uncover for the
face of the enemy.
Speaker 3 (04:40):
So the two thousand and seven two thousand and eight
Writers Guild of America Strike culted production on season four
of Battle Star. These webisodes released during the mid season
break to help promote the show's return, and while they
were released between episodes ten and eleven, the web series
technically takes place between episodes eleven and twelve, so we
watch it in release order, but if we were going chronologically,
(05:03):
we would have pushed it one episode. The web series
was actually shot after the season had finished filming, and
while the Battlestar Glactica movie, The Plan was being shot,
and this made production a challenge. They had to share
a camera with the film production as well as actors,
and the sets were being torn down as soon as
they finished filming scenes.
Speaker 2 (05:22):
That's crazy. Why would you do that. Is there just
like a set amount of room you have for each
set or something.
Speaker 3 (05:28):
Because the sets were being dismantled, I'm assuming as the
film was done with them.
Speaker 2 (05:34):
They're like, we're done, We're over. This is the last
we're dealing with this shit. There's no preservation of like
anything like maybe we need to reshoot and we have
to come back. No thinking like that was happening apparently.
Speaker 3 (05:46):
I mean, I'm sure it was all planned out with
the movie, Okay, the plan exactly. I believe the web
series was kind of an afterthought, like, hey, we have
this idea, let's do this, and so they're like, okay,
we'll try to make it work in the schedule, but yeah,
good luck. So the cast members that they added to
(06:06):
the web series were actually cast from audition tapes for
the plan. Fine, so they were able to share that.
Speaker 2 (06:13):
So they got people from the audition tapes, the rejects
from the movie.
Speaker 3 (06:18):
Well, they didn't have to fund the whole casting session. Yeah.
Do the outcome of the writer's strike which affected creator
compensation for web based content. The webisodes are not included
in any North American or European DVD or Blu Ray releases,
who were finally released as part of the Japanese Season
four Blu Ray collection in twenty thirteen. Wow, And I
(06:39):
believe that release is the reason you can find it
in HD SO writer Jane Espinson was aware that a
community of fans had come to see Gata as a
gay character and wanted to include that aspect in the story.
Speaker 2 (06:52):
He's bisexual, that is true.
Speaker 3 (06:54):
They went both ways with it.
Speaker 2 (06:56):
Yeah, they're like, he can have it all.
Speaker 3 (06:58):
Gata's present day human lover was changed from Viper pilot
Noel Allison to Lieutenant Hoshi due to actor availability, and
Galen's cylon Ex lover was changed from a number six
to a number eight.
Speaker 2 (07:11):
I liked it better as Yeah, I feel like everybody
gets a hit with the blonde, which is kind of
messed up saying that, but she's not the only love interest.
It's nice.
Speaker 3 (07:22):
Yeah. There was also originally supposed to be a number
six on The Raptor, but Tricia Helfer was unavailable. In
March two thousand and nine, the series won several Streamy
Awards Best Dramatic Web Series, Best Writing for a Dramatic
Web Series, Best Male Actor in a Dramatic Web Series.
Speaker 2 (07:39):
Was the Best Actor.
Speaker 3 (07:40):
Alessandro Leani Gaeta.
Speaker 2 (07:42):
His name is Alessandro.
Speaker 3 (07:44):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (07:45):
Wow.
Speaker 2 (07:46):
The fact that I've been watching this show and like
we're already at the last season and I'm finally learning
the actor's name. What's his ethnicity? He's not white.
Speaker 3 (08:00):
All I'm seeing is that he's Canadian.
Speaker 2 (08:02):
But that could mean anything. Is he Native Canadian? Like?
Is he indigenous? He seems like he's like maybe Middle
Eastern or like from like Asia.
Speaker 3 (08:12):
He's of dual Italian and Chinese ancestry.
Speaker 2 (08:16):
Wow, so he's like a mix.
Speaker 3 (08:20):
Yeah, I think it'd be hard to pin him down
by looking at him.
Speaker 2 (08:23):
Yeah, I would have never guessed Chinese, and China's so big.
There's a lot of different like versions of Chinese people anyway.
Speaker 3 (08:32):
Okay, this episode shares its title with that of an
episode of Star Trek The Next Generation. I don't think
it has anything in common with that episode. It's just
they have this they love to reference it.
Speaker 2 (08:42):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (08:42):
That's it for Trivia.
Speaker 1 (08:47):
Deep Space Dive. Let's break down some of our thoughts
on the episodes. You can share your thoughts with us
through email, Facebook, or Twitter. We may use your comments
on an upcoming episode.
Speaker 2 (09:00):
I feel like Gata's boyfriend is kind of an enabler
by giving him that giant pack of morphine. But like, Babe,
I know you're going to struggle. Well, you're away for
like a while, and I just want you to be
set up with a bunch of morphye.
Speaker 3 (09:17):
Yeah, well like as I don't know what dose he's
supposed to be taking, but.
Speaker 2 (09:21):
It seems like there's enough to kill a man.
Speaker 3 (09:24):
Yeah, two of those needles could kill someone.
Speaker 4 (09:27):
He had like a pack at eight, like a creole
a set, because it just you assume that, like you
inject one full needle into yourself.
Speaker 2 (09:38):
But now, yeah, that's not what I assume. That is
not not at all what I would assume, because I've
in my head it would be I honestly, I wish
it looked more like those diabetic needles that click, so
there's like a clicking motion and it like fills up
(09:58):
with just one dose and then you inject it and
you don't see needles. You don't ever see a needle.
You just put it against your skin and click it
and it injects one dose, and that would be it.
That's the future. But apparently we live in like the
you know, nineteen fifties America where it's just like these
big ass or ridges with these metal tips just exposed. Nope,
(10:21):
there's no fucking caps for them either. That I saw
like he just pulled out a needle, and I'm like,
where's the where's the needle cap? At least you should
cap those needles while they're in storage.
Speaker 3 (10:33):
It's fine, they're pre sterilized Jesus Christ.
Speaker 2 (10:37):
But I thought it was kind of hilarious that her
his boyfriend is like, hey, babe, here's your illicit medication,
because I love you and I know you need it.
I don't know if I would be like willing to
supply my partner with like medication that could kill them.
I don't know if i'd be into that. I'm not.
I'm I don't even And it looks like it's not
(10:58):
prescribed by a doctor. Like he didn't just drop by
the pharmacy window at the Galactica clinic and pick up
his meds. You know. It looked like he was like
he had to do some dealing, wheeling and dealing.
Speaker 3 (11:11):
He was in that black market episode getting the supplies. Yeah,
and so I mean, surely Gata would have some painkillers.
Maybe and maybe not. Maybe he's they don't have enough
to give to him anymore.
Speaker 2 (11:23):
Maybe. I mean that sucks.
Speaker 3 (11:26):
But also like that Raptor is not like eighty eight
compliant anything No.
Speaker 2 (11:33):
I was so upset that he had to crutch his
way up, and I'm like, where is the ramp? Where
is the ramp? It would be so simple to make
a ramp for this motherfucking thing. And I'm pretty sure
I've seen episodes where they've had ramps, So what the fuck?
I was so upset.
Speaker 3 (11:51):
You guys built an entire stealth ship in this hangar.
You can't make a ramp. Nope.
Speaker 2 (11:56):
And I thought it was interesting that while they were
waiting for their ship, the guy in orange was like, oh, great,
skin jobs, and he was like kind of trying to
say it off to the side, but it was obviously
loud enough where they could hear it. I'm like, what
a dick.
Speaker 3 (12:14):
I just thought it was funny that the CiCe with
Colonel Tie like was really well lit, like brightly lit, overexposed,
not looking at all like it does in the show normally.
Speaker 2 (12:26):
Yeah, you could tell it was that movie set.
Speaker 3 (12:29):
Yeah, it's like they had access to the sets and
the actors, but maybe not the same lighting equipment, probably
don't have the usual cinematographer controlling.
Speaker 2 (12:38):
The lights so you would notice something like that.
Speaker 3 (12:41):
It was just like the table was it's like they
left the work lights on or something. It was just
like bright light down on the yeah consoles.
Speaker 2 (12:48):
I was happy to see Colonel Tie, and I was
having a hard time figuring out the timeline of this
because I'm not a fast reader, and they like very
quickly flashed the timeline. So I was like, do they
know Colonel Ties the cylon and he's still working? What's
going on? And then when you said that, when Gada
(13:09):
came back on board after being rescued, he said, you're
a fucking sylon. I don't want to talk to you.
I want to talk to your manager, very Karen. But
I was like, okay, So now, so they are letting
a cylon basically be the second in command.
Speaker 3 (13:23):
Yeah, and you can see Gaida has takes issue with that,
especially after what he just went through.
Speaker 2 (13:28):
Yeah, I mean he did get put on mandatory leave
for one, so, like he wants to work, and it's
probably he wants to work to keep an eye on
things because he doesn't have a lot of trust issues.
But now everything's gone to hell because he did a
reverse Schindler's List. So I was like shocked when he
(13:49):
found out that he was like actually putting people to
death by naming them. Yeah, because like I like the
Sharon Model, and I usually like her and trust her,
so I don't put her in a villainous rule. When
I see her, I don't think of her as a villain.
I think of her as Athena. I think of her
as the damaged boomer model. I don't think of her
(14:12):
as a killing cylon. So it was I really like
the turn of or like this different rule that she
was playing with in the Sharon Model.
Speaker 3 (14:23):
Yeah, I feel like you could also tell the difference
between the two number eights she was playing in this episode.
Speaker 2 (14:29):
Yeah, yeah, one of them was ready to help and
super kind and wearing a little flowery shirt thing dress
like very innocent like, and she was the first to die.
And I'm like, god damn, they were killing motherfuckers already
and I didn't even know like why she would have died.
But I'm like, the it was so funny that the
(14:50):
killer like pointed out the murder weapon, Like what a
classic killer move. She's like, she's like, look at this pliers.
Why are they like this? So I don't know if
that first kill was actually a murder or if it
was just like really an actual accident.
Speaker 3 (15:09):
It was a murder.
Speaker 2 (15:10):
It was a murder. She admitted to it, right.
Speaker 3 (15:12):
Yeah, because she said she didn't know that the mechanic
was going to pass it off to the cylon. Oh,
but she's like it served the same purpose. We need
the oxygen.
Speaker 2 (15:21):
Yeah, what a what a greedy whore?
Speaker 3 (15:23):
Yeah. So the I mean, the murder mystery thing, it's
kind of fun, it's all right, But I think like
the main thing we get out of this episode is
the kind of the character stuff with Gata and the
number eight and learning about some of their history on
New Kaprica. Yeah, everything that went down there. And we
also we get the reveal of what Baltar whispered to
(15:45):
Gata prior to Gata stabbing him in the neck, which
I guess his Gata's go to move likes his stabbing. Well, yeah,
Baltar said, I know what your eight did and that
set him off, and now we know why, because Zate
was selling out everyone that he would trying to save. Yeah,
and Gata goes from having no known romantic history to
(16:05):
some very complicated ones. Yeah, any other thoughts on this.
Speaker 2 (16:09):
I was super shocked that there was a cliffhanger. I
was like where's the next episode? Am ready for? I
thought this was going to be ended like in a
really pretty bow for me, like because it was like
a one off series, so I would figure like it
would begin and end in a way where it was
like contained.
Speaker 3 (16:27):
Yeah, it definitely is ramping up. It's being kind of
a promo. That's what it was made to be.
Speaker 2 (16:33):
Brilliant. Yeah, it's definitely giving me like I want to
watch the next season and the writer strike. But I
wonder who wrote this if there was a writer strike.
Speaker 3 (16:42):
Well it was after the strike.
Speaker 2 (16:43):
Oh so they were like, oh, we're putting you to
work right now.
Speaker 3 (16:46):
Because they had finished production on the final ten episodes
and they were working on the movie The Plan when
they made this.
Speaker 2 (16:55):
Okay, now that's more clear now, all right, But yeah,
I ended I cliffhangers. I really do. I really I
want to. I want to finish and see the end.
So now that he's like gonna go talk to the manager,
I'm like, what's he gonna say? What are they gonna do?
What's gonna happen?
Speaker 3 (17:15):
Is it?
Speaker 2 (17:16):
Dama gonna be like, get a hold of yourself, Felix,
this is not a big deal. We got bigger fish
to fry or something.
Speaker 3 (17:23):
I don't know.
Speaker 2 (17:24):
We'll see.
Speaker 3 (17:24):
We'll just have to.
Speaker 1 (17:25):
See astral queen. Who was the standout character in the
web series.
Speaker 3 (17:33):
That brings us to the astral Queen. Who's the astral
queen of this these webisodes?
Speaker 2 (17:38):
We know it's Kata.
Speaker 3 (17:39):
Yeah, it's Kata. What are you gonna pick number eight? Tie, No,
it's it's Kata.
Speaker 2 (17:45):
It's all about Kata, which I really like.
Speaker 3 (17:48):
Could be looking at Hoshi because he rescues.
Speaker 2 (17:50):
Them, but he also fucking gave him a lethal dose
of MOI before he left, like love you babe.
Speaker 3 (17:59):
Guess it packed little something special in your lunchbox.
Speaker 2 (18:05):
Enough more fun to kill a man.
Speaker 3 (18:07):
And then from all right, that's two awards for Felix
Kata and that brings us to the end the main
part of this podcast. We're going to go into the
spoiler section here. If we don't want to be spoiled,
don't listen to that. But we'll see you next time
when we are back with episode eleven, season four, called
(18:27):
sometimes a Great Notion. Let's put our living stereo stylus
in this group.
Speaker 1 (18:34):
Brace for impact. Spoilers ahead if you haven't seen the
whole series now is the time to say goodbye. Remember
you can contact us at Spacingoutpod at gmail dot com,
find us on Facebook and Twitter, share your thoughts and
be a part of the discussion. Spoilers in five four
(18:56):
three two one.
Speaker 3 (18:58):
So this like major issue that's developing with Gata and
the alliance with the Cylons. I mean, it's about to
boil over and he partners up with Tom Zeric to
lead a and h what's it called when you overthrow
the captain bu oh.
Speaker 2 (19:15):
No a kuda ta or mutiny?
Speaker 3 (19:20):
Mutiny That's what I'm looking at for any of those words. So, yeah,
they leave a mutiny and that I believe that takes
up like a few episodes a time and ultimately leads
to his death, which is very sad.
Speaker 2 (19:33):
We are obviously Gata stands here.
Speaker 3 (19:35):
Yeah, and I feel like this web series really helps
to flesh out some of his feelings about all this,
because I mean there's a lot of trauma there.
Speaker 2 (19:46):
Yeah, the motherfucker lost the lake. Trying to find Earth sucks.
It sucks. Yeah, I'm excited for the next couple of episodes.
We have ten more episodes, yes.
Speaker 3 (19:57):
Yep, Yeah, I think we decided the way we're going
to cut. The finale will be Part one has its
own episode, and then parts two and three together. That's
the way it's aired. If you're watching on Peacock, I
think you'll find them separated into three episodes. But whatever,
it'll all work out.
Speaker 2 (20:12):
Yeah, what should we do next?
Speaker 3 (20:14):
I have no idea.
Speaker 2 (20:15):
Do you have any like year needs to watch anything
in particular?
Speaker 1 (20:19):
Well?
Speaker 3 (20:19):
I was thinking that, like, we can maybe try to
do something current and that might get a little more
traffic to the podcast. That's all.
Speaker 2 (20:27):
Do we need traffic? Though?
Speaker 3 (20:31):
I'm just thinking like when we were doing our podcast
covering the show Superstore, they got quite a few downloads
as we went along. I think that's because it was
a current show that people were sticking out.
Speaker 2 (20:42):
Okay, so should we watch one of those Star treks maybe,
even though we're trying to watch them in order and
we're still in Deep Space nine.
Speaker 3 (20:50):
I don't know. We'll solve that problem.
Speaker 2 (20:52):
When we get to it. That's a problem for a
future Jason of a.
Speaker 3 (20:55):
Few months to get through all this. Another point I
wanted to touch on was, you know, we were revealing
a queer character basically in this and just we don't
see a lot of these in Battlestar, and the ones
that we do see tend to be villains.
Speaker 2 (21:11):
So I think you're halfway right, because in my opinion,
I feel like they're one of the main characters could
be seen as queer coded. Besides Gaida, I think Starbuck
has a lot of qualities to her that I know
appeal to lesbian women.
Speaker 3 (21:33):
Yeah, that's true, but she.
Speaker 2 (21:35):
Is clearly not a gay woman in this universe because
she's obviously very straight. But there are there are things
about her that have drawn a lot of like attention
to her, and she's like upheld as a queer icon
in a lot of like queer spaces more so than Gaida.
Speaker 3 (21:54):
Yeah, for sure. And this is still in an era
of television, although it's not that long ago. But we
don't get a lot of openly gay characters. We get
a lot of queer coded characters, right.
Speaker 2 (22:05):
There's a lot of gay baiting with a lot of
the characters, right.
Speaker 3 (22:10):
And then this reveal about Gata is you know, allocated
to this web series, so it's like behind the closet door. Still. Yeah,
when we learned about Admiral Kine, that was in the movie,
It wasn't in the regular episode, right, But again, like
Admiral Kaine is, I don't want not necessarily a villain,
but villain adjacent.
Speaker 2 (22:29):
At least she's definitely not a good guy.
Speaker 3 (22:32):
Yeah, and then I think some of the cylons are
definitely in that same kind of space. You know, we
get polyamorous relationships there, So it's just something to mention.
Speaker 2 (22:43):
Yeah, yeah, I think it's important to have representation, but
sometimes representation can be a trap. So it just depends
on the context, I think a lot. And unfortunately, within
this context, it still feels very buried and very much
like not out in the open, which is what if
(23:04):
you're going to have a queer character, you should have
them be like fully themselves at all times, and not
just during your web series or this one little scene
in the movie that might that's just ineffective for the
representation of that group of And you're giving people crumbs,
you know, they And I'm sure in that time, I'm
(23:25):
sure crumbs were acceptable. But now I would like to
see more like fully fleshed out characters that are like
fully themselves, and I think we have that in a
lot of our media. Like one that comes to mind
right now is like Umbrella Academy with Elliott Page, Like
that was an incredible, like on screen transition that felt
(23:49):
genuine and respectful and emblematic of that character. And I
really like that. So I'm just really hopeful for the
way that television and media move forward with that. But
it's kind of scary too, because like of all these
weird laws that are being passed and all of these
like weird things that are happening against the LGBTQ IA
(24:12):
plus community. So I feel like this is still a
fight that's worth fighting for, and we have to like
continue to demand that we have better queer representation in media,
because we've had queer representation in media, but you're right,
it's always been like a villain or a clown or
some sort of side character that has nothing to do
(24:35):
with a plot, and it's just like haha, they're gay
or haja, they're trans. And so I don't know, I
just I have a lot of hope and hopefully, you know,
as we get more diverse writing and more people in
the room to do this work, it can evolve with
us instead of like pull us back in ways that
(24:56):
we don't need. But yeah, I agree, I like that.
Speaker 3 (24:59):
Yeah, and I don't want to seem like I'm trying
to hold the show that's fifteen twenty years old to
today's standards. I think it was operating in its place
and time and was, you know, probably better on diversity
than the majority of shows. But it's still it's worth,
you know, just seeing where we were and where we're going,
and you know, looking at the tropes that are there,
(25:22):
whether they were intentional or incidental, like you know, the
killer gaye trope. You know, most of these gay characters
don't make it out of the series.
Speaker 2 (25:32):
So yeah, a lot of gay characters, even in fiction
for the longest time, would end up dead as part
of like this tragic character like because a gay person
cannot find love or happiness at the end, and so
the only thing left to do is to die. And
that's that's not the message we want to send to
(25:52):
people who live in this place of queerness and otherness,
is that you're b otherness is going to get you
nothing and nowhere, and you should just die. That's so fucked.
But some people still hold that mentality, which is just
why don't you go away?
Speaker 3 (26:11):
Also, I don't think that the intention was there with Gata,
because like they had written the series prior to writing
these webisodes where they decided to outright make him bisexual.
I guess. So. I don't think they were making their
decision to have him go down this path based on
him being a queer character.
Speaker 2 (26:29):
No, it sounds like it was a little bit of
an afterthought and also like a little bit of like
fan service.
Speaker 3 (26:36):
Yeah, it sounds like the writer was plugged into what
the online forums are talking.
Speaker 2 (26:42):
About, right, he wanted to get them something, you know.
Speaker 3 (26:45):
So, Yeah, that's all I had to say about that.
Speaker 2 (26:47):
Really, maybe we should put that in the middle park.
Speaker 3 (26:50):
Is that? Well? Yeah, I just I wanted to be
able to talk about Gata because Gata is kind of
moving into a villain role as well. Yeah, so I
didn't want to spoil that or that he dies fair
fair fair like most people at this point are probably
listening to this section. But yeah, I think that's all
we have for the episode, right, That's.
Speaker 2 (27:07):
All I got. It was short, It was sweet, and
I really enjoyed it, and I hope I wish they
did more of this like side character quest where we
developed the character and find out more Like I would
have loved one of.
Speaker 3 (27:21):
These for D Yeah, D has been de mod basically, Yeah,
one of my biggest disappointments about this fourth season is
that d is just in the background where she was
so prominent in seasons two and three. It's like they
couldn't find any roles for her once she wasn't Leadama's wife.
Speaker 2 (27:39):
That's so dumb. She could be doing so much.
Speaker 3 (27:42):
But yeah, and the thought that I lost disappointment with
d Oh. I mean, this show still kind of operates
in an older style where they have their like main
cast that they pretty much always focus on, and supporting
cast is pretty rare to get, you know, episode that
really focus on them as much. So though as I
say that, I'm thinking of plenty of examples that we
(28:05):
got a lot of stuff on the Chief and Colonel
Tie is technically a recurring character even though he's always there.
But yeah, anyway, I don't know. Sometime talking all right,
books be done?
Speaker 1 (28:15):
