Speaker 1 (00:00):
Welcome to Spacing Out with BB and Jason this week
covering Battlestar Galacticas season four, episode three, The Ties That Bind.
Speaker 2 (00:10):
Yeah, Welcome back.
Speaker 3 (00:15):
I'm Baby and I'm Jason, and this is spacing Out
where today we will be discussing Battlestar Galactica. If you
are new to the show, we will have a spoiler
section at the end of the podcast where we are
free to discuss future events. Otherwise, we won't be spoiling
anything past this episode, which is Battlestar Galactica season four,
episode three, The Ties That Bind. This aired on April eighteenth,
(00:39):
two thousand and eight, Written by Michael Taylor, directed by
Michael Nankin. The survivor count in this episode is thirty
nine thousand, six hundred and seventy six people, which did
not change from last week.
Speaker 2 (00:50):
But there is definitely a minus one Yeah.
Speaker 3 (00:54):
In this episode, more bloodshed occurs in what becomes a
silen civil war on the Demetrius. The CRU's patience wears
thin with Starbuck Leadama joins the Poor Oma twelve and
goes up against President Roslin, and Calli discovers the truth
about her husband and the other Cylons and Tory kills Calli,
making it look like a suicide.
Speaker 2 (01:15):
I'm confused about that, about how it makes it look
like a suicide. Can't you tell who pushed the button
or did she push the button before she ran out
or something.
Speaker 3 (01:25):
I believe it's because she took her husband's keys and
ran in there, so it was his keys that launched it.
Speaker 2 (01:32):
Oh interesting, Okay, pretty clever.
Speaker 1 (01:38):
Five check. Did we like the episode overall? How does
it stand the test of time?
Speaker 3 (01:45):
What do you feel overall this episode?
Speaker 2 (01:48):
I liked it.
Speaker 3 (01:50):
Did you like the ending for the whole book? What? Now?
Speaker 2 (01:58):
It was a good episode. But yeah, then I didn't
really like it a lot too, I'm awful.
Speaker 3 (02:03):
Yeah, well, the ending with Tory and Calli is like,
it makes it a really memorable episode. I think, yeah,
because I can easily forget, like I don't remember what
happened last week. I feel like there's just a bunch
of talking. Yeah, yeah, now I remember, like, oh yeah,
this is the one where Tory takes out Cali. But yeah,
I think it was a good episode. I like it
was kind of a little bit of everything. We got
(02:24):
some of the Demetrios story, we got some Cylon story,
we got some politicking, and we got some some siloning
Hunglactica somewhat some siloning silon. Yeah, some final final three
I guess since Anders isn't there.
Speaker 2 (02:40):
Yeah, Andrews busy his wife.
Speaker 3 (02:42):
And we got some Doc Coddle. Oh yeah, so yeah,
a good episode. Don't skip it.
Speaker 1 (02:49):
Trivia time. What facts could we uncover for the Ties
That Find?
Speaker 2 (02:54):
What do you got for trivia?
Speaker 3 (02:56):
Oh? This episode's title, The Ties that Bind is a
reference to a Christian hymn Blessed Be the Ties that Binds,
a Protestant hymn that celebrates the unity that comes from love.
Why that's the title of the episode. I don't know.
Speaker 2 (03:10):
I don't either. Interesting.
Speaker 3 (03:12):
There wasn't even like any Baltar storylines that was like
messing around with religious themes.
Speaker 2 (03:17):
Well, maybe it was like about the Cylons going to
civil war and the conflicts against each other, Like you
had conflicts against Starbuck and the crew and the President
versus Leo Dama. Yet they're like all together in their struggles.
Maybe that's what it is.
Speaker 3 (03:37):
The weapons locker where the Final four Cylons members secretly
meets Marked one seven oh one D, which is the
registry number of the Starship Enterprise on the Next Generation Nerds.
When the Sylon fleet is ambushed by the Cavils, the
Orion constellation can be seen in the background. Stars Whether
it's intentional or not is unknown, but it might indicate
(04:00):
that they're getting closer to the Soul system that's where
we live. Darbuck has the Aurora figure that she gave
to Adama in Maelstrom, and a scene in which he
returned it to her was deleted from the previous episode
six of one. They're passing that little figure around, and
then another deleted scene shows Chief Tyill strangling Calli to
death in her bed. It's unclear whether this was a
(04:22):
vision of Galen's or Callie's, or if it was like
an alternate desk scene that they shot for Calli.
Speaker 2 (04:28):
They just wanted to see her suffer a little bit.
Speaker 3 (04:30):
Differently, Philip, it's probably part of those visions she was
having of him, like cutting his finger and licking aping
her in bed. Oh yeah, yeah, that's all I got
for trivia for this episode.
Speaker 1 (04:44):
Deep Space Dive. Let's break down some of our thoughts
on the episode. You can share your thoughts with us
through email, Facebook, or Twitter. We may use your comments
on an upcoming episode.
Speaker 2 (04:56):
I was a little confused about what were in the
scene with Lea Dama and President Roslyn. She bothered that
he knew about her plans to appoint judges or something.
Speaker 3 (05:11):
I didn't get it. Wells like Leadahma had been trying
to meet with her and she wasn't taking his meetings
or anything, and she kind of shut him down in
that quorum meeting. So he brought up this classified document
that Tom z Eric had slipped him. I was like, Hey,
you're trying to get more power in the judicial system,
(05:32):
and she's like, actually, that's just a rough draft that
I'm working on, but I.
Speaker 2 (05:36):
Do want to bring it up and put it to
the floor. So like he pressured her to move forward
with an unfinished plan.
Speaker 3 (05:43):
Uh yeah, kind of okay.
Speaker 2 (05:45):
Oh, I didn't get the tension. I was just confused.
It was a confusing room. There was a lot of
people yelling. Like the guy he interrupted seemed like he
had a legitimate issue to discuss. He's like, my people starving.
He's like, do you yield the floor? He's like, sure,
fuck it, We'll starve some more.
Speaker 3 (06:06):
We'll just be hungry.
Speaker 2 (06:07):
Or next time it's my turn.
Speaker 3 (06:09):
No, it was about her trying to put Lee in
his place. Oh, he's used to be in the top
Dog top Dog, and she makes it very clear that
he's a junior representative and he does not speak for her. Yeah.
I like the I like do we get to see
some of the legal system on display, even if it
was a little confusing. I like exploring that aspect of
(06:31):
the show. I'm sure it's a lot of people probably
find it kind of dry and not that interesting, but
it'd be fine. I'd like to know just more about
how things in the fleet work. That's generally what I'm
interested in.
Speaker 2 (06:42):
Yeah, they don't show too much of that. They're always
on Galactica too, so it was a nice change of
pace to be in a different ship. It didn't look
like a like an airplane like it normally does. Though,
it's like it got fatter the ship itself. You know. Yeah,
it's because normally I wouldn't I see it. I feel
like it looks like an airplane, but this time it
(07:02):
didn't look like an airplane. It's just part of it
kind of did the window parts. Then it got thick.
It was interesting to see their political shit.
Speaker 3 (07:11):
What else do you want to talk about I.
Speaker 2 (07:12):
Want to talk about how number six had to say please.
Speaker 3 (07:16):
Yeah, they've given the Centurions free will, so now she
can't just give demands.
Speaker 2 (07:21):
That was pretty good. And then they like zoomed in
and they kind of looked back at her like bitch,
but put some respect on my name.
Speaker 3 (07:28):
Like someone online pointed out that the Centurions, now that
they've had that inhibitor removed, like they're all a lot
more shiny and like glossy, like they care more about
how they look or something.
Speaker 2 (07:42):
They oiled themselves up.
Speaker 3 (07:44):
Yeah, Usually they're all like kind of dull, dingy and
banged up, and those guys were like shining a fresh
coat of wax on them.
Speaker 2 (07:51):
That's interesting. They did look a little different. It was
interesting that they got lured into a trap too. I
don't know where they were going.
Speaker 3 (08:00):
They were going to wherever they had to go to
get Deanna unboxed. Oh so Cavill's like, hey, meet us here,
and then the Resurrectionship didn't jump with them.
Speaker 2 (08:11):
One of the is it what's boomer? She's a four,
she's a eight, she's an eight. Her turncoat felt real
bad because it seems like she has some like moral
dilemma with doing that, yeah.
Speaker 3 (08:25):
Because that's taking out all of the other number eights.
We won't be all of them, but well.
Speaker 2 (08:29):
They won't resurrect. Yeah, and it's like this final death
that sucks. I wonder if the final four that were
on Galactica, if they have their own resurrection ships somewhere,
because nobody knows who they are, so who's in charge
of their resurrection ship if they have one?
Speaker 3 (08:48):
We can put a pin in that for a spoiler section.
Speaker 2 (08:51):
Okay, cool, we'll talk about did you believe Torri wanted
a fuck Chief.
Speaker 3 (08:55):
In the in the bar? Yeah, well we saw her
see Allie's reflection, so it's like she saw Callie walk in.
That's when she starts like touching Chief's elbow.
Speaker 2 (09:06):
Rights to make it less suspicious maybe.
Speaker 3 (09:09):
Or more suspicious, more suspicious.
Speaker 2 (09:12):
She wanted to kill Cally. I don't get it.
Speaker 3 (09:14):
Tory is just embracing these new feelings and who she
is and kind of I don't want to call her
like the villain, but she's kind of moving into that
role and inviting the chaos.
Speaker 2 (09:27):
Oh okay, she's like liberated.
Speaker 3 (09:30):
Like she knew she was fucking with that relationship in
that moment.
Speaker 2 (09:33):
That's why she asked herre you and Callie happy? Okay, Well,
Tory is interesting for sure. I think her character has
definitely developed some nuance to it.
Speaker 3 (09:43):
Yeah. I think she's the most interesting of the cylons
right now, just because she is embracing it in a way.
Speaker 2 (09:50):
Yeah, like she's moving and shaping things and learning about
herself and forming new beliefs. Hooking up with guyas fucking
with Chief it's interesting. And then killing CALLI like that
was crazy. Yeah, but I think it had to be
done because she was gonna like tell on everyone.
Speaker 3 (10:08):
Well no, she wasn't. She was gonna murder, suicide herself
and her son. Well yeah, but okay, so I guess so,
like that's the whole thing of like maybe you could
chalk it up to the drugs she was taking, but
like it's like all of her dumb decisions of like
I'm not going to tell anyone, I'm just gonna run
straight to this air lock airlock, And yeah, she hasn't
(10:30):
been making the best decisions. Her throwing up at the
bar was the funniest thing. She throwed up on her
baby probably, like that's awful. Usually it's the other way around.
Speaker 2 (10:42):
Where your toddler, your baby throws up on you, But no,
this mommy's special. She's gonna throw up on her baby
at a bar. She's not making any sense, and I
think Doc Coddle has like his suspicions about her, like
in her state of mind. Yeah, so that probably made
it really easy for Tory to cover up what she did.
Speaker 3 (11:04):
Yeah, she's having trouble sleeping. She's trying to get medicated
for that. And she said she was taking antidepressants.
Speaker 2 (11:11):
Yeah, and he said he's going to open an opium
den so she can take a nap. And it's like
he kind of understands, like you're not in a great shape,
but he's also like against chief when he's like when
she tells him like I think he's having an affair
or whatever, and he's like, you see, he's hitting you,
like because he doesn't forget that she got the shit
(11:32):
beat out of him once. Yeah, and she even mentions
it like what kind of loser marries the guy that
fucked her up? Which I don't think we should victim blame,
like it's not Callie's fault, but it just sucks, like
her situation is just terrible.
Speaker 3 (11:47):
Yeah, And I always feel like once once Calli and
she get together, we don't see like a lot of
the good part of their relationship, right, which I'm sure
is there. It's just like whenever they choose to focus
on their relationship is when they're having problems. Right. They're
having fights.
Speaker 2 (12:04):
All the time. Even on New Caprica, they were always
like upset at each other.
Speaker 3 (12:09):
Yeah, which sucks because I feel like a lot of
fans like just found her a really annoying character.
Speaker 2 (12:16):
Okay, I'm not the only one, no, Like.
Speaker 3 (12:18):
That's how a lot of people felt about her, And unfortunately,
I think a lot of people were happy to see
this episode. That's awful, it is, but I think it's
a result of the way they and yeah, not getting
to see other aspects of her.
Speaker 2 (12:36):
Yeah, she's just like a nagging wife.
Speaker 3 (12:38):
Yeah, what can you tell me about Callie except for that,
like what her job is and that she's the wife
and mother and.
Speaker 2 (12:45):
She's barely doing that. Like when we see her, she's
like just yelling at Chief all the time, Like, and
don't forget to tell him that he's allergic to the algae.
Speaker 3 (12:55):
That's all we have is algae.
Speaker 2 (12:58):
Pack him a lunch then, girl, But it would suck
because basically, it's like in this episode we kind of
see more of her like dealing with being alone a lot,
almost like a single parent. She can't rely on the
chief for any like being a steady support system for her,
and so what does she have. She's just all by
(13:19):
herself with her kid. And when she finds out that
the only person that she could put her life in
trust of is a fucking cylon, she like breaks. That sucks.
Speaker 3 (13:31):
Yep.
Speaker 2 (13:32):
And I was surprised to see Tory follow her but
not her husband into the airlock.
Speaker 3 (13:37):
He was unconscious.
Speaker 2 (13:38):
Oh I didn't see that part.
Speaker 3 (13:40):
She took him out with that wrench.
Speaker 2 (13:42):
Oh yeah she did. She beat the shit out of him. Okay, yeah,
I remember now.
Speaker 3 (13:46):
And Tory's the one that saw the panel removed outside
the weapons locker. So yeah, I think Tory puts it together.
She's so smart and you know, you can see that
Calli was like going to kill herself and her son
in a certain way, Tory saved the son's life. She did.
She also had the opportunity to save both of them
and chose to kill Calli.
Speaker 2 (14:07):
I would have killed Cali because she knew too much could.
Speaker 3 (14:10):
Talk yeah, like, yeah, I know, it wasn't random that
she had.
Speaker 2 (14:13):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (14:14):
Also that the meeting they had in the weapons locker,
all they talked about was like, hey, you guys can't
be meeting in public. Here's we can't have scenes like that. Okay,
that's all I have to say.
Speaker 2 (14:24):
Boy it well, no, it was cut short by that
bump in the night, the bump in the walls.
Speaker 3 (14:29):
It was like, nothing of substance in that meeting.
Speaker 2 (14:32):
Can't be walking around like skin jobs. If ty wouldn't
have showed up, it would have just looked like a
rendezvou between two lovers. But when he showed up, he
threw the wrench in the whole plan.
Speaker 3 (14:45):
She's like, oh my gosh, he's having a three way
affair that bury.
Speaker 1 (14:49):
Man.
Speaker 2 (14:50):
I know what Colonel Tye looks like in a tank top, Okay,
and it's not cute. It's a lot of hair. Do
you want to talk about Starbuck and her crew? Sure,
her crew hates her.
Speaker 3 (15:02):
Yep. I don't think anyone except for Anders volunteered for
that mission. I guess hilo Elo wanted to go.
Speaker 2 (15:10):
Yeah, and Helo's kind of standing up for her, but
he's also like a damn it, Starbuck.
Speaker 3 (15:16):
She's not making it easy for him. No.
Speaker 2 (15:18):
And then the weirdest part was when she is in
her bunk or I don't know if it shared quarters
because there was multiple little beds or because it was
like a little bed in a nook and she was
painting that nook.
Speaker 3 (15:33):
I was assumed that, like all these ships would have
like a captain's quarters. Yeah, even the sewage ship.
Speaker 2 (15:39):
Who knows. But the fact that she had this really
bothered me. She had like three to five just open
paint cans on a mattress, no tarp, just mess. She's
such a mess. And I don't know what she's painting exactly.
Maybe it was like her vision of Earth.
Speaker 3 (16:00):
Yeah, I think she's painting for the like the star
cluster that she's looking for.
Speaker 2 (16:04):
Yeah, well it's it's like over the bed, girl, you're
gonna drip paint all over your sheets, and paint's not comfortable.
After it dries, it's plastic. It's gonna be really stiff.
Speaking off, speaking of stiff, Anders comes in and he's like,
(16:25):
you're messing up this whole mission, and she's like, why
don't you frack me right now?
Speaker 3 (16:32):
That's like after she says one of the meanest things
to him.
Speaker 2 (16:35):
That she married him because it was easy.
Speaker 3 (16:37):
Yeah, and he was pathetic enough to go along with it.
Speaker 2 (16:40):
But now and he's still kind of pathetic because he
goes along with her like wants and needs. Anyway, I
think he's also like confused because he's a cylon And
it's interesting to see them interacting now that he knows.
And after they're done, she even mentions like, that was weird.
I feel like you, like I was here and that
(17:02):
was that must be insulting. I wouldn't feel good if
someone's like I was like off in another place, like
I was watching us do it instead of being present
with this situation.
Speaker 3 (17:14):
Also, your spine was glowing. What was up with that?
Speaker 2 (17:20):
I'm telling you they shouldn't have included that in that
first episode. But yeah, I feel like Starbucks is really
taking advantage of Wanders.
Speaker 3 (17:29):
Yeah, he kind of seems like a dog that's not
going to leave her side.
Speaker 2 (17:33):
He's too loyal.
Speaker 3 (17:34):
She's very indifferent to him most of the time.
Speaker 2 (17:37):
Yeah, it's sad. It makes me not like her in
cert situations because she's just using.
Speaker 3 (17:42):
Him and then like he's in that ship full of
people that like can see this relationship that like she's
not giving him the time of day. Yeah, treating him
like a subordinate.
Speaker 2 (17:52):
I mean he is a subordinate though, he's just a nugget.
I don't know why he signed.
Speaker 3 (17:56):
Up for this mission because he didn't want to watch
her leave again.
Speaker 2 (18:00):
That's what it's cute. Okay, Yeah, the poor onders. It
just makes me feel bad for him. What do you
think Adama told Chief about Calli? He had to break
the news, like he was the person who has to
tell him. How did they find out? Like it would
have taken forever to find out, like Chief would have
had to report, Like I haven't seen Calli in a while.
(18:22):
She beat the shit out of me. I don't know
why or when the airlock goes is that does that
noise trigger somebody?
Speaker 3 (18:29):
Like I would say, like the system probably notified that,
like the airlock was used and it was his key
that used it, so they want to check on him.
I don't. I don't remember exactly what happens with like
what what Tory does next?
Speaker 2 (18:45):
Well, we're not gonna spoiler it.
Speaker 3 (18:47):
Yeah, I can't spoil because I don't remember the details.
But I'm just thinking out loud that like maybe she
left the kid right there.
Speaker 2 (18:54):
Oh, the baby outside to.
Speaker 3 (18:56):
Make it look like Callie left him right outside the door.
Speaker 2 (18:59):
Yeah, and take a kid with me.
Speaker 3 (19:01):
Also, like Kelli's last decision to hand the child through
the Cylon, it was just the last bad decision in
the string of bad decisions.
Speaker 2 (19:09):
Yeah. I was really surprised when she did it.
Speaker 3 (19:12):
And Torri's strong too, She's got that Cylon strength.
Speaker 2 (19:15):
Did they unlock that as they found out?
Speaker 3 (19:18):
You must have or else. She's just been really strong
her whole life. I never thought about it.
Speaker 2 (19:22):
She's not going to be like an aid to the president,
which she hasn't been doing her job lately, not that
I've seen.
Speaker 3 (19:30):
Yeah, I don't know.
Speaker 2 (19:31):
Does she go on a ship? Is there like a
freight ship or like a fairy ship that goes from
the political ship to the Galactica like every hour so
she can like hop on and come in and get
her drinks and hang out in the evening and then
go home. Where does she live on Galactica?
Speaker 3 (19:50):
Yeah, she must live on Galactica. I mean she's always there.
Is there. She's with Baltar, she's meeting with the other Cylons,
the presidents living on Galactica. I don't know.
Speaker 2 (20:01):
We never see her quarters. We've seen almost everybody else's
quarters except hers, because Anders lives with the Nuggets and
Colonel Tye has his own area that he used to
share with Ellen and now he's alone. Chief. We've obviously
just seen him get the shit beat out of in
his own quarters.
Speaker 3 (20:20):
Yep.
Speaker 2 (20:20):
And who else is there? Is that them?
Speaker 3 (20:23):
Yeah? I mean the Dama obviously was big quarters.
Speaker 2 (20:26):
Yeah, Dama. I wonder where Leah Dama is living now.
He moved, because that's the whole movie. The last episode
was about him moving.
Speaker 3 (20:35):
He packed up, and I don't know he's living somewhere.
Speaker 2 (20:37):
It was nice to see Tom Zeric again.
Speaker 3 (20:40):
Yeah, and he's always working angles.
Speaker 2 (20:43):
He's always got something going and.
Speaker 3 (20:45):
His job is to bang that gavel order.
Speaker 2 (20:48):
He bangs that thing so much, so many times, and
it didn't matter.
Speaker 3 (20:52):
Yeah, anything else we need to cover.
Speaker 2 (20:55):
I'm good.
Speaker 3 (20:56):
I think we got it all all right. Then let's
move on.
Speaker 1 (21:02):
Astral Queen, who was the standout character in the episode.
Speaker 3 (21:08):
Do you have anybody in mind for astral Queen toy?
I was wondering if you're going to do that.
Speaker 2 (21:15):
She's strong, independent, she's stirring, the pot. She's looking good. Yeah,
who are you going to give it to?
Speaker 3 (21:24):
Tory? Does seem like she's enjoying herself more than we've
seen her before. I was thinking of giving it to
Doc Coddle.
Speaker 2 (21:31):
Oh, you're fave.
Speaker 3 (21:33):
It's for his bedside manner.
Speaker 2 (21:36):
He made her laugh probably the last time she left
in her life.
Speaker 3 (21:39):
Right. I feel like that was the one moment in
the episode where Callie got to feel sane. But yeah,
I like that he was both like kind of tough
on her, but also like was listening to her concerns
and was genuinely concerned that if she was getting abused
or not. I think he was. He was really good
in that scene. All right, So Tory and Dot Coddle
(22:01):
or the Astral Queens for episode three. And that brings
us to the end the main part of the podcast.
We will now move into the spoiler section. If you
don't want to be spoiled on anything to come in
the series, then get out. This is the time to leave.
Next time we will be covering the episode Escape Velocity.
So Rague right, sounds exciting. Yeah, sounds like it has
(22:25):
a lot of energy in this group.
Speaker 1 (22:31):
Brace for impact. Spoilers ahead. If you haven't seen the
whole series, now is the time to say goodbye. Remember
you can contact us at Spacingoutpod at gmail dot com,
find us on Facebook and Twitter, share your thoughts and
be a part of the discussion. Spoilers in five four
(22:53):
three two one.
Speaker 3 (22:55):
Oh, this is the last appearance of Cali for obvious reasons.
Speaker 2 (22:58):
She's not a silo.
Speaker 3 (23:00):
She's not coming back as this silon. I feel like
we will see her in some archived footage.
Speaker 2 (23:05):
It's flashbacks.
Speaker 3 (23:07):
Chief tyroll process is this, but that's her last episode.
And then I mentioned in trivia that we saw the
Oriyan constellation, and as we move forward in the series,
we start to see other familiar constellations more frequently as
we move closer to Earth. And then you you were
asking about the Final five resurrection stuff.
Speaker 2 (23:27):
Yeah, where's the ship?
Speaker 3 (23:29):
So Cavill has a ship where they rear where they resurrect.
If I remember, I think they have like all five
of them in one room, and there's just a Cavil
there like managing that because no one else is involved
in that whole situation. Yeah, I think there was five
of those resurrection tanks. Kind Of in my head, it
looked like the sleeping pods in Dollhouse. Do you remember that? Hell,
(23:51):
we were all on the floor vaguely.
Speaker 2 (23:54):
We should watch that again.
Speaker 3 (23:55):
Yeah, later this season we will get to see Ellen
Tye wake up and she's just hanging out with Cavil
this whole time. But when she wakes up, she has
all of her memories back of prior to be being
put on Earth as Ellen. I any other Cylon or
other questions.
Speaker 2 (24:11):
Who wins the civil War?
Speaker 3 (24:15):
I mean, does anybody win a civil war?
Speaker 2 (24:17):
Yeah, there's winners and losers. You don't remember It's okay.
Speaker 3 (24:21):
I don't remember the details of how it plays out.
But the sixes eights and Leovin's they kind of in
the allied with the Galactica, so yeah, interesting. And the
number three's they do get unboxed. Well yeah, I think
next episode we'll see how that attack played out.
Speaker 2 (24:40):
Okay, I'm excited.
Speaker 3 (24:41):
I don't remember exactly. I mean, they don't resurrect, Yeah,
but they don't all die.
Speaker 2 (24:46):
I'm sure that they all jump at once, or I
wouldn't have sent my full force like to follow them
right away.
Speaker 3 (24:52):
Yeah, they really didn't. They trusted Cavil a lot. You
must have been doing some really good acting there, because
he made it clear that he was not happy about
the decision. It's also interesting that all those base ships
have the hybrids on them that control all the functions.
So it's interesting the hybrids are like willing to fire
(25:14):
on the other Cylon ships like that.
Speaker 2 (25:16):
I don't think they care. I don't think the hybrids
have the same will that the Cylons have, like even
the Centurions now, which is sad, but we'll see. I'm
really interested to see Anders's journey into the hybrid life.
How he gets into the fold, how they recruit him.
I don't know.
Speaker 3 (25:38):
I think he volunteers.
Speaker 2 (25:39):
I don't know. I don't know how it works. I forgot.
One day he just starts losing his hair.
Speaker 3 (25:45):
He decides to take a bath one day and never
gets out of the tub.
Speaker 2 (25:49):
Could you imagine what the bathtubs on the Galactico would
look like?
Speaker 3 (25:53):
Very rustic metal. Yeah all right, well that was the
ties that bind. Thanks for joining us. We'll be back
next time to talk about escape velocity and stay out
of those airlocks.
Speaker 2 (26:05):
Yeah, and don't hand your babies to cylons.
Speaker 3 (26:09):
So say we.
