Valentine's is a great time for a quiki, a Spanish quiki.
In this episode, you learn how not to scare of
your Latino or Latin up date by saying I love
you the wrong way, because depending on whether you use
the kiero or the amo, you might be setting yourself
up for romance or for a restraining order. Are you

ready for a quiki? Yes? So, Valentine's Day is coming
up and you might be tempted to say I love
you in Spanish, but hold up. In Spanish love you
can be translated as the keetto or diamo, and they
are not the same thing. They actually expressed different levels

of love. Let's start with the keetto repeat after me,
take getto the ghetto means I love you, but it's
not necessarily romantic. We Latinos use it a lot with
family members take keetto Papa, or with very close friends,
take keetto yamigo. It's also safe to use the ketto

for a boyfriend or a girlfriend if you've been dating
for a few months and I want to emphasize a
few months. If you drop at the keetto on the
first date, the other person might think you're moving too fast.
So the ghetto is great, but only when you actually
know the person. Well, now let's talk about the amo.

Repeat after me, the Amo. This one is way more intense.
The ammo is used when you're deeply in love, like
I'd fight a beard for you kind of love, you say.
The ammo in serious, committed relationships. So if the ghetto
was bad for a first date, the ammo is a

your date will be running for the hills. So to
recap the ghtto, use it for family, close friends, and
