For all the matchstrikers, this is Spiritual Pyro.
(00:01):
This is Rebeca Seitz, Founder and President of The 1C Story Network. Thank you very much for listening and, if you are one of the many who have reached out directly to Sarah or Corinne with words of support and kindness since the release of that intense first episode, you have my undying gratitude. The truth-telling they have undertaken, creating a way for others to perhaps find their own paths through ruin, into rise, and ultimately return to life, is courageous and inspiring.
As you might imagine, it is also a laborious process. You aren’t hearing a fictional story. This is real. This is true. This actually happened.
In my role as leader of 1C and steward of the relationships and community built as a result of its storytelling, there are many lenses through which I operate. One of those lenses is care for the storytellers that I’m honored to come alongside. Another is adherence to honesty, integrity, and transparency. I appreciate that Sarah and Corinne also have communicated to me a dedication to those values.
Telling a true story while caring for the storytellers and being as real as possible with the audience requires an inordinate amount of consideration. In doing so, we sometimes need to take a beat as we put together the next chapter for you.
That’s where we are right now.
So, today, unfortunately, all you’re getting is me. Sorry about that. Hard, good, authentic work is happening in the background, though. To be sure you do not miss the fruit of that labor, go ahead right now and like, subscribe, or follow Spiritual Pyro. That way, you’ll be alerted when Episode 3 releases next week.
Thank you again for your interest in and your care of Sarah Carter and Corinne Shark. If you haven’t already, you’re welcome to find them on Instagram. Check the show notes for links.
