headphones, dim the lights, embraceyourself for a journey into the unknown if
you dare. Hey, everybody, welcome to Spooky, a Paranormal Podcast.
I'm your host, Cindy Little, and this is my co host, Allison
Robeliz. Yes, since this isour first episode, we thought we'd just

(00:51):
kind of like to keep it casualand let our listeners just get to know
a little bit more about us.So to that end, we're gonna go
ahead and jump right in. Sowe're going to start with just kind of
introducing ourselves and giving a little bitof background on how we got into this,
this whole paranormal thing. So,do you want to go first or

(01:14):
do you want me to go first? I'm comfortable either way. I would
say probably you because I'm still tryingto figure it out brain usage right now,
how does that work? Brain?Yeah, we just this is our
first episode and we just spent youknow, fifteen minutes trying to get the

(01:36):
audio set up. Thank god Alisonis an expert in that, otherwise I'd
still be lost. So in anyway, back to the topic at hand,
introductions. Yeah, I have beeninterested in the paranormal since I was really
little. I remember I was oneof those little nerdy kids that would spend

(01:59):
my lunch hour in the library readingreal ghost stories and Allison's laughing, I
love that. And I ran acrosshis one book about Jeff the Talking Mongoose,
and it was about this family thatlived in England back in the thirties,

(02:20):
and they swore they had this talkingmongoose that lived in the walls of
their house and it would sing andit would, you know, say bad
words. I won't repeat what someof Jeff said, but he was rather
salty, and they would occasionally getto see glimpses of him, and he

(02:43):
was kind of this furry, littlerat looking thing, but he talked.
And so even to this day, paranormal experts see the case of Jeff as
one of the like kind of bigones and they really can't figure out what
it was all about. So mostof them are saying, oh, it

(03:06):
was some kind of Poultergeist activity,or it was a hoax or whatever it
is. I was I was hookedbecause I'm reading a story about a talking
animal that's a ghost. So Iwas like, ooh, okay, this
is really cool. Fast forward manymany years to the nineties, where all

(03:34):
now the nineties, Yeah, I'mbarely coming about I'm Alison, i am
ancient. I'm almost a ghost myself. No, I'm not quite, not
quite quite. I'll take it.I'll take it. So fast forward to
the nineties and the early two thousands, and that's when all the ghost hunting

(03:59):
shows came on. And I,you know, i'd seen the movie Ghostbusters
back in the eighties, and oh, that's that's really fun and stuff.
But when I saw the ghost huntingshows, it was like it was ghost
Hunters. I was like the firstbig one, and it was like,
oh my gosh, there's actually amethod to this. There's you know,

(04:23):
I can actually go out and investigateand look for ghosts in a in a
kind of scientific way. And thatreally kind of had me hooked. And
so I started looking around Waco forplaces to look for ghosts, and I
kept hearing about this haunted couch inthe consignment furniture store. Have you seen

(04:50):
the haunted couch? Oh my gosh, I think it's still there, y'all.
I think the haunted couch is stillthere at the furniture store on the
corner of Bosky and Highway six.Yeah. Yeah, you gotta go in
and check out the haunted couch. And so I went into the furniture store
and I felt really silly and Iwas like, oh, hey, I

(05:14):
understand, you got a haunted couchhere, you know. And I just
felt really dumb. And they wereso excited because they're like, oh my
gosh, yes, yes, yes, h are you a paranormal investigator?
And I'm like, sure, totally, yeah, I'm totally a fair normal
investigator. And they're like, oh, weird stuff happens when people get near

(05:36):
the couch, and they're like phonesgo crazy and and our whole like paypoint
system here at the front goes crazy. We had to move it away,
and the people that originally bought thecouch brought it back because it was like
making their cupboards and drawers open, and they got this like satanic smell,

(05:58):
sulfur smell in the hose, andit scared them, so they brought it
back. Anyway, this couch hasthis whole history, so I set up
some of you know, I hada few little cameras and a recorder and
set that up overnight. I reallydidn't get anything weird other than my phone
died around the couch, but otherthan that, but still I thought,

(06:20):
Okay, this is really cool.So from there I just kind of built
on that, and I eventually tookparanormal investigating classes and parapsychology classes at the
Ryan Research Center, which I highlyrecommend. They're all online and they have
some great stuff there, and havejust kept investigating. I eventually got interested

(06:46):
in the whole parapsychology side of it, so I'm also a parapsychologist, and
I researched that side of it,which is a little bit different but still
very much related, and started myown business, Waco Ghosts, and I
still do consulting through that. Sometimeswe'll do events and tours. I'm just

(07:08):
really kind of Waco's crazy ghost Lady. So and now now here we are
doing doing a podcast, which I'mreally excited about and have been wanting to
do this with with Alison here forquite a while now because she is also
a paranormal researcher slash investigator, slashenthusiasts. So that long windy introduction,

(07:31):
I am done. I'm going tohand it over to you. Oh man,
my story is not that is exciting. Oh, I bet it is.
I bet it is. Oh,I don't know, I've I guess
I've always been the black sheep ofmy family. Oh, I've always been
very very different my family. Likewe were talking about before this, my

(07:53):
mom works for this big fancy collegethat will remain unnamed. Yeah, that's
hosting our podcast. Yeah yeah,it'llege. Yeah. So she works at
this big fancy college, has beenfor quite literally my entire life. We
started working here, you know, just decided not to come to this big

(08:15):
fancy college because that's just what blacksheep do, and so decided to go
to rebel I know, right, how dare I? Even though I got
free college? But who needs that? Rebellious? Who needs that? I
was like, well, I'm gonnamake you spend your money at this little,
not so fancy college that is alsolocal. And that's what I did

(08:37):
got a theater degree and from thatcollege associates nice. But prior to that,
when I was super little, alwayshad this super dark side of me.
I've always been interested. I've alwayswalked around with my lights off.
Never bothered me. What yeah,Even to this day, if I'm walking

(08:58):
around my house, I will nothave my lights on. What yeah,
are you a vampire? I don'tlike. That's how weird it is.
And so my dad was like,oh, she's just you know whatever.
Well, he told me this storythat he had for the police department that

(09:18):
he worked for. He was runningthrough the trail system that we have here,
which the system, the trail system, Oh, the trails, Yeah,
the trails. Oh okay, Sohe got a call. He was
working south Side and north side. They dispatched to the two closest officers.

(09:39):
They were trying to trap them inthis lady took off into the woods,
so they had to go in byfoot. They were shining their flashlights and
usually what officers do They am onehigh and the other goes low for their
feet. Okay, so they cansee the entire body. Okay, Well,
the the other officer had his lighton their feet and realized that she

(10:05):
didn't have feet what no feet?Holy crap. They could see her dress
and then that's where her legs stopped. What. Yeah, So I was
probably like eight, between eight andten when he's telling me the story.
That is nuts. Yeah. Andso she then stopped and turned around and

(10:26):
then they took off running back totheir patrol cars. Would Yeah, And
they just agreed to be like,oh, it was nothing. It was
just you know, lady just walkingtrying to get back to her car.
They just kind of like brushed itoff. Uh okay, that was here
in Waco, right, yeah?Yeah, whereabouts do you remember? I
don't remember, just off on someof the trails, just somewhere in the

(10:50):
troll system. I don't know wherein the trail system. But that's spooky.
Yeah yeah. Which, of course, the trails are highly known haunted
locations here, so it was justone of those. And that's kind of
what piqued my interest, is justall these little factors of me being this

(11:11):
darker black sheep and then hearing that, and of course ghost hunters watching that.
How could you not? And thenfound the show The Dead Files.
Oh that's a great show. Ilove that show. I love it.
Yea and oddly enough, I gotmy dad into it. Oh wow,

(11:33):
And so that became kind of likeour little thing is whenever that show would
come on, we'd watch it together, him being retired PD, you know,
being able to then the Yeah,so got him into that. And
then slowly I did start buying someof my equipment, but it was more
like just digital recorder EMF read onmy phone, which not the most helpful

(11:58):
since the phone itself gives off EMS. But we'll talk about that. Yeah,
that's a later discussion, So laterwe'll couch that for now. But
yeah, so stuff like that, just doing that, and then I guess
fast forward when we met from themedia company I used to work for,
Yeah, and kind of got intothat, started hanging out with you guys,

(12:22):
going out on paranormal investigations, andthe rest is history. The rest
is history. Yes, that Iremember when we met. Yeah, I
was at that other media company doinganother podcast and yeah, just striking up
a conversation with you and you're like, oh wow, yeah, I'm really

(12:43):
into that paranormal stuff too. Yeah, and you were doing at the time.
I remember, you're doing another paranormalpodcast and and you invited me on
the show and that was a lotof fun. Yes, And yeah,
the other paranormal podcast, excuse me, it was pretty cool because you talked

(13:03):
about a lot of haunted places aroundaround the US. Yes, which is
fascinating. And I know that infuture episodes we'll be getting to more of
that. Yes. Yes, Andoddly enough, I still have all the
research from that other podcast, andit's just doing that kind of triggered a

(13:28):
lot more for me. And nowI'm just like slowly dying inside for another
investigation. But I don't y'all.Yeah, it's it's like we're all we're
all friends on social media, andAlison just like pops into our private conversations,
like I have to go on andgost hunt please, I'm going into

(13:52):
withdrawals. Yes, it was definitelymajor withdrawal. And we still haven't gone
no, and I'm still it's verymuch like it's like, Okay, it's
upsided, I'll get through it.There's one coming. I know I can
feel it. But yeah, ohyeah, well yeah we all yes,

(14:15):
Yes, there is, Yes,there is. We'll have to we'll have
to get down on the ghost becauseI it's been too long. It has,
it really has, and I meanwe're all busy and got our lives
and it's hard to fit them inall at the same time. But but
yes, it is coming, Allison. It is coming soon, and we'll

(14:37):
talk all about it on the podcast. Yes. I think it's funny though,
because when I made the post,seeing y'all's comments, I'm I'm the
newest to the newest person in thatlittle group. So it's like, I'm
sure you'll find it very funny thatI'm the newest and I'm like, I
need another one guy and y'all arejust like this young and we'll learn at

(15:03):
some point. Oh, she's cooked. We've like cooked her in we're like
her dealers. It's so bad.Yeah, I will say, I don't
know if if you have plans todo this, but coming up next month
is the East Texas Paranormal Conference inMiniola, and I'm yeah, I'm just

(15:24):
gonna make a little free plug here. I don't exactly know the dates.
I think it's later in the month, but I've gone every year for the
last three years and it's really coolbecause they have a lot of really great
speakers. But here's the best part. They every year line up five four

(15:46):
or five haunted places, so weget to at the end of the day,
ghost hunt all night long. Soyou know, I don't know if
that's something you might be interested in, but I'll send it information. Yes,
yes, yes, I know.Georgina is going by the way,

(16:06):
Georgina Holdsmeyer. If you're listening,Hey, sweetie, she's one of our
ghost hunting crew. She's she's amazingand she's going to be presenting there,
and yeah, it's it's always alot of fun. I love her.
She's one of my favorites. Allof you all are my favorites. I
say, one of my favorites. And there's not very many of us in

(16:27):
that group, so no, butit's an awesome group. Yeah, I
love it too, because we alljust bring different things to the table and
it meshes. Yeah, it meshestogether so well, and we all get
along so well. I mean,I don't want to get too far off
on a rabbit trail here, butthat's the one thing that I see with

(16:47):
some paranormal groups where there's you know, I'm the chief and you have to
listen to me and do what Isay, and and there's none of that
here. We're all just friends andwe all have this interest in the paranormal
and we just have our different waysof approaching it and it just comes together
really well, which is really nice. Yes, I love it. I

(17:11):
love it too. Some of thecases that we've been on. I was
racking my brain about this. Iknow that Liberty, the Liberty Hotel in
Cleeburn. Yes, that was ourfirst one, right, I think so.
Yeah. I don't remember that wegot much activity, No, but

(17:33):
I remember that one was very Thatone is a doozy for me. Yeah,
because that one I don't know, like I guess it was the first
place someone and Robbie, I'm gonnashout you out, but the first place
someone that was a known psychic mediumhas ever told me that I had abilities.

(18:00):
Rob he's got mad skills, andI never, like, I kind
of knew, but I never reallyknew. Because I remember talking to Robbie
throughout the night on the third floor, I could almost like riding a boat
is what it felt like for me. Wow, it was very ship leg
bouncy. And I told him.And then when we're going into one of

(18:22):
the rooms, I told him,I was like, we don't need to
be going in here, okay,And He's like, no, no,
no, you're fine, it's fine. And this was that room, the
corner one, the corner room thatwas in that hotel, Okay, because
we were staying fourth floor, Ithink so. And then we had one

(18:45):
room on the third Yeah, wehad access to multiple floors. I remember
that. Yeah, so I thinkit was one of the rooms, if
not the only room we had onthe third floor. Yeah, and so
is that room that I was like, no, I can't do this,

(19:07):
I remember that. Yeah, youwouldn't go in there. Yeah. I
did not want And Robbie's like,no, you need to go. Let's
go. You're fine. And thenso we walked in and he's coming in
behind me and he's like, oh, I see what you mean, Like
it was the second he walked throughthe threshold. And I was like,

(19:29):
yeah, and that was Campbell. That's where the cat fouls are going on.
Well, yes, yes, thecat balls. Yes, I do
remember that, Yeah, definitely. And I mean this is something why I
love having you and Robbie Allen.Yes, hello, Robbie. Another one
that we love that's in our groupand we'll be interviewing him too. I

(19:53):
love having psychically sensitive people on investigationsbecause y'all see things differently, and you
sense things that people like me,who I do not have any psychic sensitivities,
do not sense, and it reallyhelps a lot in investigations. And

(20:17):
of course a lot of times whenthe psychic folks are saying, hey,
this is I don't feel good here, or this is what I feel is
going on, I feel a presenceor whatever it is, it usually doesn't
take long for what you're feeling tobe verified in some way, whether we
get some strange emf readings, orwhether we get start getting some EVPs,

(20:45):
or we see something or in thiscase catball activity. Okay, I'm gonna
let Alison talk about the cat balls, because I had never used these things
on an investigation and now I'm atotal fan. So what's with the cat
falls? I asked, By theway, these are cat toys. They're

(21:07):
not actual catfalls. I absolutely lovethese things because I remember I had showed
them to y'all. They're like,y'all are like no, like, yeah,
there's no way, come on,like they're toys, and I was
like, okay, And we hadused them in some of the other rooms

(21:30):
prior they would get a few hits, and y'all were still like, well,
this is when we're all starting toget set up. I had already
put the cat balls, one oneach bed, and they're basically just little
clear bowls with the button that gettriggered quite literally when they're hit or tossed.

(21:52):
What went off? And I thinkthis is when you had left to
go back to your room to dosomething. Same thing with Jeannette. So
it's just me, Georgina. Robbieis kind of doing Robbie because it's Robbie.
Yeah. So we see it,Me and Georgiana see it go off
in the window. Okay, weturn around and it turns off. Oh

(22:18):
wow. So then Georgina tries topush the bed. It's not going off.
She moves the covers, it's notgoing off. She picks it up,
and that's when it goes off.Wow. So that's how we figured
out that it was like actually sense, like sensitive to being touched. Wow.
And that's when they kept going off. It was after that that one

(22:41):
closest to the window was going offyour or three times, and by the
time y'all had gotten there, that'swhen we had told you all about the
cat balls and them going off. That's so freaking creepy. Yeah, I
mean yeah, you think about it, something's touching that, it's touching it
and you can't see what's touching.Wow. And it was it was interesting,

(23:02):
interesting, very interesting. But thosethose are my favorite, those are
my far of my favorite thing touse. Yes, And I mean,
like I said, now, Iam a fan and and we use them
on investigations now and yeah, wewere I'm jumping ahead a little bit here,
but I know you couldn't make thisinvestigation. Gosh, you would have

(23:25):
had so much fun when we wentto the old Park Hotel. Yes,
and Ballinger, we have got toget back there. That is like one
of the most active places. Andwe used the cat balls. Yeh,
well we did, and and itwas it was awesome because we would you
know, we'd set them on thebed or set them on a dresser or

(23:47):
something, and then we'd go intoone of the rooms and have like a
communication session with like a spirit boxor Georgina, would you know bring the
dowsing rods, by the way, she's like a dowsing rod, asked I
have a great dowsing rods story aboutGeorgiana. I'll tell here in a minute.
But we're getting just all kinds ofverification. You know. It's it's

(24:11):
kind of like we're getting verification withthe dowsing rods. We're getting you know
Janet who is like she's like wayinto EVPs and and that's her thing,
and she's you know, getting EVPsin the in the hotel and and we're
getting the cat ball's going off likecrazy. I mean we're sitting there having
these communication sessions, and you know, it's like, if you're here,

(24:34):
you know, make the cat ballgo off. And I mean just on
cue. I mean it was.It was incredible. And so yeah,
and knowing knowing how difficult it isto get those things to go off,
because there's probably some listeners that arelike, oh, it's just you know,
maybe somebody brushed it or the bedmoved a little bit. No,

(24:57):
no, those things even you couldif you pick it up gentle enough,
it won't even go off. Likeit's it's a little difficult for them just
to get triggered. It is.It's very difficult. And so yeah,
then we would I remember, wewould be walking down the hall of that
that old hotel and look in aroom and sure enough a cat ball is

(25:21):
going off, and nobody was inthe room, and so they're great.
I'm I'm a big fan of Catball. The cat Ball's my buddy. Now
I love that. I love that. Y'all are so hesitant first and now
now y'all have been turned. Wehave been turned, our eyes have been
opened to this new paranormal tool. But I mean, and the thing is

(25:45):
is it's like you can go onAmazon and you can pick up like a
like a twenty pack of these thingsfor chee. Yeah. Yeah, I
think I got I think it wasa twenty twenty thirty pack for like ten
to fifteen bucks. Yeah. Yeah. It's insane, and I mean,
just something so simple but actually souseful. It's I mean, I love

(26:08):
it, especially even if it's youget a few of them and you put
them in different parts of the roomand it's like, hey, just tell
me what part of the room you'rein. It's easy just to do something
like that, absolutely, yeah, and then see which one lights up.
Yeah, yeah, I love it. I love it. Now I know

(26:29):
that we've also been on you werehelping out with Paranormal University, Yes,
as well in the Palace Theater andfor our listeners, Paranormal University is an
event that we hold at the PalaceTheater in Marlon, Texas a couple times
a year just as a fundraiser, and we bring people in from the public

(26:55):
to teach them how to ghost huntthe theater. And it's it's always a
lot of fun. We always fillup really quick, and there's a lot
of activity that goes on in thattheater. It is the only spot where
I have seen a full body appressionin the basement, and that was that

(27:15):
was just wild. But a lotof crazy activity, a lot of crazy
communication sessions, all kinds of things. And I remember that you and I
were partnered up the first time,Yeah, the first time, and we
were in the in the balcony, and I was like trying to remember.
I don't remember anything specific happening inthe balcony, but for some reason,

(27:40):
I was thinking something happened in thebalcony. I just for whatever reason,
the projector room, okay, Isomething about that room. I just I
could feel didn't want me being inthere. The when Nick took me on
the tour, I stopped dead middleof the okay, And I could tell

(28:03):
he could tell that I was alittle confused, and like, what's going
on? And I mentioned it toyou, and that's when you had gone
in there. I didn't tell youthe spot, but you went in at
the at the same spot and dida little investigation, okay, And that

(28:25):
was with the dowsing rods, becauseI remember you asking, do you like
my friend Allison in here? AndI was like no, do you want
her to come up here? Iwas like no. And then one of
the girls when the group that wehad, she stopped in that exact spot.
And so it's three different people. You knew only part of this story

(28:49):
and stop in that same spot. That girl knew none of it and stopped
in that same spot. Triangulation. We're big into that. Yes, I
do remember. Yes, I doremember using the dowsing rods back there between
the projectors. Yes, I doremember that. And yes, and I

(29:10):
do remember now when the communication wasyeah Alison, No, No, we
don't want Alison, yeah, whichwas kind of weird. Yes, Well,
what's funny is this most recent timethat we were there, it was
I forget his name, it wastall dude Bold, Oh, tall dude

(29:33):
Bald. He was maybe it's Jake. Maybe I think maybe Jake. If
you're listening, so sorry, Iwas like he has glasses and he was
one of the group tour guides. That's all I remember of him. I
think it's Jake and he's got likea beard. Yes, yeah, I
guess I think it's Jacob. Yes. So we had gone in there.

(30:00):
It was just me and him andI think one other person. And I
was telling him about the last timethat who Casey did not want me in
there? Yeah. Oh, bythe way, real quick, Casey is
the ghost that haunts the projection roomout the palace. And I think what
triggered it is because I when wewere talking, I had mentioned that I

(30:21):
had a theater degree. Oh,and I think that's might of what triggered
it, and that a lot ofI never participated acting in college plays.
I always did tech, okay,And I think that's kind of like what
triggered it is. Yeah, Ihave my college degree. I know how

(30:41):
to do all this stuff I can, you know, And so I think
that that might have triggered It's likeyou're a girl, and you like,
what do you mean? Like becausehis time period, that wasn't a thing.
Yeah, just wasn't a thing.Women weren't supposed to be working in
theaters. You were a strong, independent, tech minded woman. You think

(31:02):
he was a little threatened. Idon't know. So we were in there
and he Jake could tell that Iwas like a little offset. Oddly enough,
I was standing in that exact samespot, wow, and he was
facing me. We're trying to doan EVP. He gets the dowsing rods

(31:25):
and he is like, are yougoing to talk to me? In case
he said no. He's like,is it because Alison's here? And then
he said yes, no, Ididn't hear this part of the story.
Yeah. What So Jake said, well, would you like Alison to leave
so you can talk to me?And the dowsing rods crossed for yes,
what yes? And so I atthis point I was getting a really really

(31:52):
bad tingling like and I was likeokay, And Jake had said that he
was starting to feel something like somethingdidn't want somebody there m and so I
was like, you know what,I'm gonna leave and you if things get
better, tell me, and youknow, maybe Casey will start talking.

(32:15):
So I leave and he's still goingand he's like, yeah, I'm not
feeling anything anymore. Wow, yeahCasey, Yeah, Oh my gosh.
So I don't I don't know whatit is with Casey and not wanting me
up there. But geez, yeahI did not know that about Jake.

(32:38):
Wow, that's really interesting. Huhyeah, yeah it was. It was
interesting time. Now were you therejust that one time? Or I thought
you did a couple of paranormal universitiesI did. It was two separate ones.
So the first one was when wewere paired up. The second one

(32:58):
was when I had my own littlegroup. Okay, so I it was
two different ones. Okay, thatwas Yeah, that was the most recent
one. Yes, yes, that'sright. We all had our own own
groups. But yeah, the PalaceTheater craziness. It's one of my absolute
favorite places to investigate. I thinkmy favorite auted this most recent time from

(33:25):
Palace Theater was the apartments. Ohyeah, with the group I had that
was in the apartment, it wasI have mixed feelings, but there was
the two guys. The the wholestory with the two guys potentially and what
it was it killed someone, youknow, one or two guys potentially killed

(33:49):
someone. It's some like crazy story. Yeah, I I you know,
we're still trying to track down thehistory of those apartments and and yes,
we think that there was some sortof murder or definitely abuse of a young
woman, but it's all really kindof vague. We can't really get a

(34:15):
handle on any historical information of whoactually lived there or what they were actually
used for. And I mean that'ssaying a lot, because Georgina is just
this historical animal, and I meanshe no stone unturned and she is really

(34:36):
stumped on the apartments. But theyare so super active. But yes,
yes, we keep getting at leastverification through communication sessions and through psychics that
something really really bad happened in thatapartment at some point. So what happened

(34:57):
so well? I remember the firsttime I told you something about the bathtub.
Yeah, triggered me. I don'tknow what it was, and again
there was nothing to confirm it.Well, in my group, one of
the ladies asked, did something happenin that bathtub? Oh? Wow?
And I said, I don't knowwhen nothing's confirmed, but I've gotten the

(35:20):
same thing. I've sent something inthe bathtub. I asked if someone had
passed there, same questions she wasasking, And we were getting responses from
two guys, and it was everytime there was one mile in that group
oh, we are only getting responseswhen he would leave the room. Interesting.

(35:45):
When he would come back, itwould go quiet. Interesting. So
he which this is the slight partthat kind of bothered me. He would
provoke them. He's like, what, don't recommend it? He said,
how are you gonna sit here andtalk to women when there's not a man

(36:05):
in the room to protect him.Oh so and that kind of triggered him,
picked it up a little bit,and we started asking questions, and
when we wanted to get a response, he would leave and they'd start answering
those questions. Yes, we didit. It was a woman. It
was this. It was that hewould come back in. He would leave

(36:30):
just far enough to still be inhearing shot, but far enough for them
not to see him. Wow.And he would come back in. He
was like, you did what tothat woman? Wow? Yeah. Yeah.
So that was for me the mosttriggering interesting part of that night.
That is really interesting. Oh mygosh. Yeah, like I said,

(36:53):
and that that just kind of likeadds to the past experience that people have
had in those those little apartments upon top of the theater where something bad
has happened. You know, we'vegot we've gotten EVPs like help or I'm
scared or you know, and communicationsessions like that is it's it's just crazy.

(37:16):
I think one of the craziest visualswe got up in those apartments is
cousin It. I love that video. We'll have to We'll have to post
that on the spooky uh Facebook andInstagram site. Basically, this was one
of the strangest things that we haveever seen. I had a trail cam.

(37:39):
By the way, cat balls,I love catballs, but trail cams,
oh my gosh, that is myabsolute favorite piece of equipment. I
highly highly recommend them. They're durable, and they have great battery life.
They see in the light, theysee in the dark, they're motion active.

(38:00):
They're just really really great for investigations. And if you spend a little
extra money and get the ones thatrecord audio, all the better because I've
got some great EVPs on my trailcamps. But anyway, yeah, I
always set up a trail cam inthose apartments and on just like a little
little card table, And so Ihad a trail cam sitting on the table

(38:25):
and you can kind of see theedge of the table, just kind of
the edge and across the room. The room's very dark. Across the room
is I think it was Jake thatwas like sitting there in a chair facing
the camera, and you can seehis shadow. It's a dark shadow,

(38:47):
and so he's the only one inthe room. It's a very small room,
and all of a sudden, mycamera picks up what it's so hard
to describe. It looks like awig and it's this wig hair thing that
pops up in front of the tableand zooms across the screen over to the

(39:08):
right and just zooms off. AndI mean, nobody was sitting there.
It wasn't somebody's head. We confirmedit with Jake, Hey, was anybody
in the room with you that gotup, you know, in front of
the camera. He's like, no, there was nobody there. And you
could tell too in the video thatthere was zero reaction from him, none,

(39:30):
none, whatsoever. None. Andthat's my favorite part is that there
was nothing there. Like he waslike, no, everything's good, everything's
good. Yeah, he says,no, I didn't see anything, and
then, you know, we senthim the video. He's like, what
that. Yeah, I'll have topost that. That's that is like,
to me, one of the funnestvideos that we've ever caught yes on the

(39:53):
trail cam. Love the trail cams. Yeah, I'm so sad. I
wish I had some well, well, you know Amazon, you know,
I always ask for them for mybirthday and Christmas and I get them.
Yeah, yeah, do you havea birthday coming up? There? You

(40:14):
go, hey, mom? Yeah, And I mean my family's used to
it. They're like, Okay, what's gonna be on Sidy's paranormal list this
year? But also with trail cams, just getting off on favorite equipment.
I love the audio on them, and probably my favorite audio that I ever
caught with one of my trail camswas at the Haunted Hillhouse in Mineral Wells,

(40:37):
which is also a super super activelocation and of course, unfortunately it's
kind of super expensive to get into. Now really oh yeah, I last
I checked, it was like fivehundred bucks a night. Now granted,
granted, you know, if youhave like ten people, you know,

(40:58):
you can split up the cost orwhatever. But it's it's a really cool
place. But yeah, we werethere investigating this is a few years back,
and I I had my trail camup in one of the rooms and
clear as day, I get thisEVP that sounds like this old krusty cowboy

(41:20):
and he's going, where's my beer? And I was just like, oh
my gosh, that's hilarious. That'sso yeah. So that's that's one of
my favorite EVPs. But I alsolike, oh my mind just went blank.
EMF meters my trifield meter. Icarry that around with me throughout every
investigation. It's kind of like mylittle security blanket because we can't really detect

(41:45):
what ghosts are directly, so alot of our equipment and we'll be talking
more about this in future episodes, our equipment is pretty much just to measure
what's going on in the environment, you know, whether temperature changes or strange
photos or videos, or electromagnetic fieldfluctuations, which are the EMF meters.

(42:09):
And there's actually been scientific studies doneon relationships between fluctuations in EMF and ghostly
activity. So I and I've gottensome really crazy EMF readings. But the
best thing is is you use thoseEMF meters with the cat balls and with

(42:30):
the cameras and with the psychics likeyou and Robbie, And the really exciting
thing is is when everything's coming together, it's like the psychics are like Hey,
something weird is going on here. And here goes the EMF meters and
here go the you know, thecameras and the whole deal, and that's

(42:52):
exciting. I think my favorite kindof weird story it was at Liberty when
I hiccuped. Uh huh. AndI think I had told you this that
I had hiccup once or twice, and usually that's whenever there's a temperature change.
I remember that. And then thatwas shortly after that is when Robbie

(43:15):
started picking up on the little girl. Oh wow, because I remember I
had said that, and no oneelse felt cold. Yeah, and for
whatever reason, I had hiccup andI was like, oh, yeah,
there was a temperature change, usuallywhen it's from hot to cold, and
that makes you hiccup. Yeah, you've got like an internal ghost at text.

(43:40):
It's so weird. But my momfound out about it when she was
pregnant with me, and for whateverreason, it stuck. So did you
like hiccup in the womb? Andit was only when her belly was cold,
so she would have to put ablanket over her belly. Oh my
gosh, So I just learned somethingnew about you today. Oh my gosh,

(44:05):
that's hilarious. Well that's good.So if we see you hiccupping,
no, we know now we're gonnalike pull out the cameras and catballs and
the emfas and the rods and pulleverything out. We're gonna pull out all
the stops. Oh my gosh, what wow. I do remember that,
though, I do remember you mentioningabout something about hiccupping, I just didn't

(44:27):
put that. Yeah, that's great. So do you have, like any
other equipment that you like to use. I know you're kind of new to
all of this. Honestly, Ireally enjoy I mean because I'm a film
nerd. I love filming, socameras, yeah, I are a camera

(44:47):
is anything that nature that I canget. But I also enjoy obviously audio.
Yes, the knowledge is kind ofthere for me. Yes, yes,
thank god, yes, thank Godfor that. But yeah, I
enjoy more video than anything. Yeah, and then audio because you never know,

(45:10):
there's always ways to like bump certainthings up to get higher volume,
lower things. So that's enjoyable.Yeah, and you can tweak it and
yeah, you're absolutely right now,I mean, yeah, we've gotten some
strange audio and some strange video andpictures. And things. So yeah,
yeah, I'm right there with youon the video and the audio. I'm

(45:34):
not nearly as sophisticated when it comesto interacting with those things, you know.
Like I said, my trail camerais another thing that I really like
about that is I just flip iton and set it somewhere and just okay,
do your thing, camera, doyour magic. Sometimes yeah, sometimes
yeah. I think one thing, one place I would really want to try.

(45:57):
I bought like an IR attachment formy cameras sweet, just so that
I can have better video quality.I want to go to Karen Park and
at night and try it. Ohmy, I'm probably asking, No,
we should do we should ask forthat, but yeah, no, what
we need to do. No,an investigation, maybe a little mini investigation.

(46:22):
Maybe we could do that soon.Jacob's Ladder, Yes, after dark
with your new camera equipment. Yes, let's do it. Let's do it.
Okay, let's do it soon becauseyou know, with all this nice
weather and everything, let's do itin Jacob's Ladders the perfect spot. Yes.

(46:42):
Yes. For those of you whoaren't familiar with Waco and Cameron Park,
Jacob's Ladder is this big winding staircasethat people walk on and jog up
and down, which is just insaneto me. But it is also one
of the most haunted places in CameronPark. Oh yeah, okay, I've

(47:06):
been crying. Okay, he's sohappy, joy But but yeah, and
what it is is that there's thisghost that haunts this this stairway and it
pokes people like pokes them and grabsthem, especially women. Yes, and
I don't know much beyond that.Do you know much about the Jacob's Latterer

(47:28):
Ghost. I know that the latteritself was man made, okay, and
that if a couple, a guyand a girl go up. There's two
different legends that the ghost will grabthe female because I don't know if it
was the girl that was with anabusive partner and she's trying to save the

(47:52):
women, or if it was theguy that was trying to grab the girl
for himself. Oh okay, yeah, so there's like a tussle. Yeah.
Oh wow, that's the two differentlegends I've heard. Yeah, I
just hear it called the Grabbing Ghost. I don't know anything anything about it

(48:15):
other than it started I think inthe like eighties or something. Yeah,
yes, what do you have youreye alike yet, Actually do I have
them? They're in my ghost bag. Oh okay, yes, yeah,
we're gonna have to Jacob's letter afterdark. We'll bring our pepper spray,

(48:38):
bring some catbulls, We'll bring someca Yes, let's do it. Let's
do it like soon within the nextweek or two. Yes, and then
maybe we can have a report forthe next podcast episode. And we'll have
to get Robbie in on it too. Yes, yeah, maybe Georgina if
she can come down. I thinkthat's an awesome idea. Bring the cat

(48:58):
balls, bring the new ey r, like, maybe do a communication session.
Maybe bring the dowsing rods. Yeah, that'll be fun. That'd be
so fun. Okay, we're gonnayeah, I'm like, we look at
that. We're gonna do it,And I mean, and it's one that's
that's everybody's Oh yeah, everybody knowsit's haunted, you know, but never
I don't think anybody's ever really investigatedJacob's well. I think it's just like

(49:22):
one of those common knowledge kind ofthings. We all know it's it's haunted,
and we're just like, yeah,whatever, it's just Jacob's lamb.
Yeah, yeah, oh, Ilike it. I like it a lot.
But yeah, that reminds me Imentioned earlier. You know, the
dowsing rods and and Georgina she isamazing with the dowsing rods. And there's

(49:44):
like one quick story. We wereout at this a few years back.
Her and I were out at OakwoodCemetery, which is a big, big,
beautiful cemetery here in Waco. Ijust like going there because it's just
so peaceful, and we're all theall the fancy people are buried, and
it's haunted, of course, andso we were out just kind of exploring

(50:05):
and you know, and kind ofjust seeing if anything strange is going to
happen. And nothing really did.But she lost her dowsing rods that that
was the cemetery. She lost them, Yes, yes, she lost.
She brought two sets because well shecomes prepared. So she's got this two
sets of dowsing rods, and sowe're getting ready to go, and of

(50:29):
course her dowsing rods are made ofcopper and they're just they look like a
stick, I mean, and we'rein this like there's this grass everywhere and
leaves and whatnot, and she dropsone of them and she's like, I
don't remember where I dropped my dowsingrod, and so I'm like oh,
and so we kind of look aroundour feet and she's like, no,
I think I dropped it somewhere wherewe were walking, but I have no

(50:51):
idea. And I'm like, ohman, that's too bad, you know.
And she's like, no, I'lljust pull out my spare pair and
find it. I'm like okay, and so yeah, and so she like
whips out or spare pair of dowsingrods, you know, and she's like,
Okay, where did I drop mydowsing rods? Please please point the
way. And we were at theentrance near the entrance of the cemetery because

(51:16):
we were getting ready to leave, and her dowsing rods through yes or no
questions, Okay, do I turnleft, do I turn right? Do
I go straight? You know whatever? It was led her to these two
like really tall statues that are kindof in the middle of that front part
of the cemetery. What yeah, yeah, they're like these two famous guys

(51:40):
anyway, real tall. And sowe're walking along and and she's like,
okay, we get right over tothose guys. It was like a few
little gravestones over and you wouldn't evenknow it was there. I mean,
the dowsing rod is lane right there, it's camouflaged in the grass. And

(52:00):
she did this dowsing rod session thatled her right to her dowsing rod that
she had lost. And I'm justlike, you gotta be freaking kidding me.
I remember you saying telling me thatstory. But I didn't think it
was that cemetery. Yeah, itwas, okwid that's crazy. Yeah,
and it's huge, you know,it's a huge cemetery. And and so

(52:21):
I was thinking, oh, Iwas. I was really skeptical. I'm
like, we're not. This isn'tgonna work. It's no, it's lost
to history, you know, goodthings. She's got a spare, a
spare set. But I was like, girl, that's impressive. And so
yeah, yeah, so she's she'sgreat with the with the dowsing rods.

(52:43):
But yeah, yeah, she foundher spare, spare dowsing rod out in
the middle of nowhere among the graves. So that sounds so dark. Yeah,
something was guiding her there to definethem. So that's crazy. I
don't know, I don't know.So why don't we wrap up with this

(53:05):
one bucket list places Where do youwant to go investigate? I have so
many honestly local of course, CameronPark. Yeah, I would love to
investigate East Terrence without all the people. Oh yes, and that's kind of

(53:28):
like where I took your class andeverything. But I would love to go
there without so many people. Yeah. East Terrace is one of Waco's historic
homes and it is very paranormally active. I would you know what I yeah,
I think we can make that happen. That would be fun too.
That's one place local. And ofcourse there's the bigger ones like Lexington and

(53:51):
corpus Alamo, the Crockett Hotel, the Emily Morgan Hotel, all in San
Antonio. San Antonio is just youcan stamp a big old ghost over it.
The whole thing's haunted. Well,it's like, I don't know why
I don't because my parents are fromSan Antonio, WO So it's an easy

(54:12):
just like, oh, just gostay with family and then just be like,
hey, can I just go?Uh? Can I investigate this place
by any chance? If it's allowed? Oh man, that would be awesome.
Yeah. I would love to dosome investigating in San Antonio. That's
one of my favorite cities in Texasmy favorite, it's by far my favorite.
Yeah, I love it. It'sgreat and it is so haunted.

(54:36):
Yes, and then of course outsideof Texas, Winchester, Winchester Mansion,
Crazy, Winchester Stanley Hotel. Youknow, so I have a few bucket
lists, but it's all like separatedand categorized, and those are great.

(54:59):
I would love to go those, yeah, some of mine. Of course.
I've always been drawn to Salem,Massachusetts. Yeah, yeah, that's
a good one. I would loveto and I'd love to go there Durine
Halloween. I know it'd be liketouristy as heck, but I would think
it'd be really fun. I mean, how could you not want to go

(55:22):
there? Yeah, like that's yeah, that's like another place he could just
stamp. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I would love to go there.
I would love to go to theConjuring House in Rhode Island. That's the
one, you know that all theConjuring movies are based off of. And

(55:43):
this family that I think was thePeronne family that lived there and and Lorraine
Warren investigated it. But the ohyeah, the crazy thing is is that
before I knew what the Conjuring Houselooked like, and like I said,
I'm not a psychic person, butthis was kind of a OOHI thing.
I was having dreams about a house, and you know, and the house

(56:07):
it was a very It's always avery unsettling dream, you know. I
go and I see this house andI go into it and it's kind of
dark, and I just feel verycreeped out in this house. And I'm
like, oh, you know,I don't recognize this house. Did I
Like see the picture of the ConjuringHouse. I'm like, holy crap,
that's the house. So I've beenlike dreaming about the Conjuring House for years.

(56:31):
And Georgina, of course, andshe's like, oh my gosh,
we got to get to the ConjuringHouse. Just the other just this last
week, she was like, wegotta get to the conjuringe House. Oh,
that'll be so much fun. I'mnot gonna lie. That would be
a lot of fun. Yeah.So I'm thinking, yeah, yeah,
Salem the Conjuring House and one ofthe ghost hunting shows. It's actually kind

(56:55):
of a more paranormal show that I'mkind of like getting into now because it's
just kind of fun to watch isExpedition X. I don't know if you
ever watched that one was with JoshGates and I've seen it, I haven't
actually watched it, like it's poppedup on my like recommended feed. Okay,
yeah, I wonder why, youknow. And this one that I

(57:16):
kind of like, yeah, youknow whatever. But now I'm like going
back and watching the episodes, andthere's some like really interesting episodes. And
there's this one asylum. I wroteit down here. I gotta see if
I can find it my my noteshere. Yeah, Eloise Asylum outside of

(57:37):
Detroit, Michigan. And they hada couple episodes there, or you know,
filmed a couple episodes there, andit used to be you know,
like at Tuberculosis Hospital and Seen Asylumand anyway, they have this big field
out behind the hospital complex there that'slike got over seven thousand graves in it.

(58:04):
Yeah, where they buried the peoplethat were you know, sick and
dying or that they would you know, they would do it, you know,
like surgeries and experiments and stuff onthem and then you know, things
wouldn't go right and they'd bury themout back. So yeah, super super
active, haunted place. And youknow most of the TV shows you kind

(58:25):
of get a few little things hereand there, mostly just this the hosts
getting really spooked out. But yeah, they got this great photo of this
like dark shadow person and so yeah, I would really like to go to
Deloise Asylum. I'd never heard ofit before. Interesting, Yeah, and

(58:49):
so I thought that was that.So I put that on my list.
And then one place that I'm like, would like to go to but not
is that Island of the Doll inMexico. Yeah, oh that is.
I'm not a fan of dolls tobegin with. I get creeped out very

(59:15):
easily, so creeped out. Recently, I was hanging out with one of
my friends. He has a dolllike suction cupped on his back windshield,
but it's like one of those likesquishy dolls, so it's not like a
hollowed out doll doll. But Ilooked at it and I was like,

(59:37):
oh no, oh no, andhe's like what. I was like,
you have got to get rid ofthat freaking doll. And he's like,
what do you mean? And Iwas like, no, no, nope,
and I might just take my owncore. I'll probably follow you like

(59:58):
this is within the first few seconds. I mean jumping in his truck.
Yeah for re Us to like goover and like eat lunch. And I
was like, no, no,no, no, no, Well then
so we're going we go get lunch. He gets something for his son and
then his son. His son's sittingthere and he's telling his son about this,

(01:00:22):
and his son starts laughing. Oh, and he's like, why didn't
you like dolls? What's going on? I was like, I have my
reasons. Yeah, I've seen somethings, but that is a place I
would like to go. But yeah, see, I'm conflicted because I'm with

(01:00:43):
you. And and another one thatwe go with, the Janet. She's
not afraid of anything, and she'sshe's the one that is great with the
EVPs, and I mean she's alwaysteasing me about being afraid of dolls.
And they have an entire doll roomand the Haunted Hillhouse in Mineral Wells that
you can stay in and there's you'vegot all these creepy dolls hanging above you

(01:01:07):
over your bed that like move andlike talk and stuff. And Janet stayed
in that doll room and she justdidn't even bother her. But and she's
talked about the Island of the dolls, but I it would be really hard
for me to go. You're like, nope, nope, no, Like

(01:01:28):
I would love to go, butI would not be touching like anything.
I might even stay in the water, honestly. But that's where they found
the original doll. Yep, nope, bunny, you know what, I
might not even go anymore because seewhat it was. The story was that
there was this man that was onthe island and he saw this girl that

(01:01:50):
had drowned, and so her bodywas like floating in the water, and
he got the girl out and youknow, unburied her, I guess,
and then later on saw a dollfloating down the river too, and so
he takes that doll and like putsit up on one of the trees or
something. And then after that timestarts just adding more and more dolls to
try and like appease the spirit ofthis dead girl. And he here's the

(01:02:15):
creepiest part. They find him severalyears later, drowned in the same place
that the girl was drowned. Iknow, no, thank you, no,
thank I'm good, okay, Yeah, you know what, I think.
I'm right there with you. I'lljust watch TV shows about it.
No, no, no, yeah, creepy, creepy, creepy. Yeah.

(01:02:37):
We've talked about spooky places, yeah, spooky places, spooky things,
spooky objects, spooky yes. Yeah, and we you know, like I
said, this has just been kindof a fun introduction. We're going to
be going into a lot more depthon specific things, you know, like
equipment that we like to use,our cases, other famous cases, theories

(01:03:00):
about what ghosts are. All thatgood stuff is coming up, but for
now, I think I think we'rejust gonna wrap it up. Thank you
so much for listening, and pleaseplease stay tuned. Okay, bye bye.
