Speaker 1 (00:00):
Hey, fundamentals and techniques, that's the key, right sixty minutes,
right sixty minute.
Speaker 2 (00:25):
Thanks for the NFC East. I started with the Giants.
I gave him a B plus. They started off, of
course selecting Edge Russian. Dual Carter out of Penn State,
another one of those number eleven guys. He's one of
those top edge rushers out of Penn Steak. They remind
you a lot of Michael Parsons. I said, not as
strong mobile faness Edge Russia, but he can still stop
(00:47):
to run, good size for the position. I was just
a little shock and they took him just because they
already had Tivadow and Brian Burns. So hopefully just go
with the three, you know, attacking even though there is
a lot of pass rush. Let's say that he can
also stop the run. But I like them adding to
the defense just because you know, the front off is
on the high seat, head coach on the high seat.
(01:08):
So to get a player that's ready now, even though
he do have some injury concerns but it's not major,
so he should get that cleaned up before training camp.
So I say overall, silid pick I had him as
my number two overall player. So to get him at
number three, it's great value, and they traded back into
the first round. It's elect quarterback Jackson Dark had an
old miss. He's an accurate quarterback that I really like.
(01:30):
Definitely not a guy that would throw in the valume.
But here's all the skills, he can make, all the throws.
He picked more at his proper value. As you know,
he was starting to creeping. People thought, you know more too,
the number nine pick in the first round, So to
get him at twenty five's good value. Most the way belong.
I say, he's more of a number two quarterback right
now who could grow into the number one.
Speaker 1 (01:50):
But I just didn't really like to move for the Giants.
Speaker 2 (01:52):
You, I said, they kind of win now mode, and
you already have three quarterbacks on the roster, which makes
number four. So I don't know Jameis is gonna leave
or they're gonna give him up with the veto try
to move him to the practice squad. But Russe is
definitely the starter. I said, this need to grow, clean
up some awareness issues, but he has all the tools.
(02:12):
In the third round they want. With defensive tackle Darius
Alexander out of Toledo, he was a guy that made
my top fifty as well, so a solid player. They
had him more as a sleeper that could creep into
the early second round, so they get him at the
top of the third round was good value. He's a
high motive guy with the speed, the size of the
athleticism you know to be a do it all, three
(02:34):
down defensive tackle. But they just need to clean up
some technique issues. But he showed out at the Senior
Bowl and at the Combine. In the fourth round, they
want running back Camp Scatterball from Arizona State. It was
kind of weird of where his value would be because
he is a fan favorite and he is a strong
running for his size, but he's more quick than fast.
(02:55):
But he does have dual threat capabilities. But I see
him more as a number two back, not really even
a one B or one A. He does that high
work ethics, so he's not really a guy that you
can dealp. I'm pretty sure if they picked him, they
have some packages for him. But I said, I see
him as the number two running back, gadget guy that
he could possibly use on special teams and on the
(03:15):
third downs if he can hold up in the blocking.
Speaker 1 (03:18):
In the fifth round, they're going with tackle guard Marcus
Mbo out.
Speaker 2 (03:22):
Of Pert Deal. He's viewed as a big sleeper. They
could hold his own a guard. He's basically moving into
guard because he had short arms, but a power run
blocking lineman with a physical demeanor, you know that nasty
run blocker people like. So with the short arms, they
want to move him inside, which should help him in
the past game if they're going to have to deal with,
you know, the edge rushers. So they looking for him
(03:43):
to possibly be a start to heal so good find
that if he does. First case, he's a death spot
with versatility at guard to tackle. In the seventh round,
they went with tight end Thomas fed On the second
out in Nebraska. He's an athletic tight end with good size,
the route running, he's a well blocker. They just need
to clean up his technique. I mean, they do have
a need to position so he could earn like a
(04:05):
third tight inSpot, maybe eventually number two tight inSpot, but
he'll have to earn the spot here. Then lastly went
with cornerback Corey Black out of Oklahoma State. He's an
experienced linky corner with good size and speed. We need
to clean up his footworking technique, so he does have
a slight chance to make the roster. You know, they
are looking pretty deep at corner, but you never know,
(04:25):
so another that it may or may not make the roster.
I said, overall, gave it a B plus. He got
solid edge rusher and your dual carter should be there
for a long time. Looks like he got Jackson Dart
at the quarterback of the future. Hopefully this regime gets
to use them, but you never know. Got a solid
defensive tackle on Darius Alexander Will may get a starting spot,
but words should be in a rotation definitely this year.
Speaker 1 (04:47):
With his talent that running back death and scatter bow.
Speaker 2 (04:50):
You know, he kind of fit the mold of the
other running backs with that dual threat, kind of undersize
but run hard, poss We got a guard at MBO,
so overall on that back, a lot of needs fulfilled there.
Speaker 1 (05:01):
Next for the Commanders, I gave him a C plus.
Speaker 2 (05:04):
I mean, you could move it up a little bit
if you include the Ala mc tunsel trade took away
most of their draft picks, but they started off in
the first round, selecting tackle Josh Connelly Jane out of
Oregon He was one of the top left tackle prospects
in the draft, but he did kind of drop because
he got exposed at the same Bowl going against players
like Shama Stewart Mike Green. But he has the footwork
(05:27):
to be a left tackle with his size to athleticism,
but he of course is just not quite ready. So
I like this situation where he is behind tunsil so
you don't have to throw them in the fire worst
skate you can move in the right tackle soil. He
is ready to play left tack, but he does give
him a good depth on the offensive line.
Speaker 1 (05:44):
So I do like to pick in the second round.
Speaker 2 (05:46):
They're going to cornerback trade Amos Out an old mess
he and lanky press corner with good speed and technique.
Speaker 1 (05:53):
Another player that rose. You know, they started to.
Speaker 2 (05:55):
Really get a good look at him, so he was
looked at maybe even that you know, as late first round.
I figured early second. So to get him at the
end of the second it's great value. But you just
need to improve his tackling, add a little strength to
his frame. If he is viewed as outside corner. Never know,
could grow to a number one the worst case, you know,
in the slot movable piece, but I think he'll handle
(06:17):
that outside corner. For fourth round, they went wide receiver
Jalon Lange out of Virginia Tech fast slot wide receiver,
good in space, but he needs to improve his route running.
But he's more of a gadget guy at this point
and a guy you can use on special teams, so
he'll possibly have a chance to be the kick returner
part returner. As he does that experience there, he gives
(06:39):
him definite position. In the sixth round with a linebacker
came And Draino out of U. C. L A.
Speaker 1 (06:46):
He's a lanky linebacker that's built a little bit more like.
Speaker 2 (06:48):
A safety, but they believe he does offer some value
and coverage the cover tight ends. He does have a
little pass rush to his game, but he lacks top
speed and heed to improve his awareness. He is experience
special teams player, so he will stick around. I'm sure
the special teams player worst case, they figure out exactly.
Speaker 1 (07:06):
Where to put them.
Speaker 2 (07:07):
They doesn't really have the speed to play on the
back end like a mobile linebacker coverage linebacker. They call
it the dime linebacker. Then last in the seventh round,
they picked running back Corey Krosky, Marrick out of Arizona
get compact back with good awareness in the last in space,
but he has limited experience and doesn't offer much in
(07:29):
the passing game, and he is twenty four years old already.
But they do need somebody's mobile power back as they
already have. I said, like two dual threats already, then
if you include scatter Bow, that makes a third one.
So Mary could get a chance here if he can
show what he can do early, but late in the
seth round he will have to earn the spot. Let's say,
see plus not bad. You kind of get your left
(07:50):
tackle with the future in the first round to sit
behind Tunselm. Why I say the worst cause you find
a way to use them. Hopefully Jury you don't have
to use them. But he is good that like Trey
Amos be a number two cornerback, so he kind of
give you some versatility with Mike Sandersil moving inside and
out then ladam Or on the other side, so hopefully
Amos can take their number two spot. Santa Sil can
(08:11):
really kill inside or Santa Silver and keep playing the
number two and Amos can step in and nipple for now,
So Jayla Lane gives them some speed, some special teams, versatility,
Madreinard Merrit more death special teams. Picks from Merrit, you know,
not guaranteed to make the roster. Let's say about see plus.
Definitely some quality there big Cowboys. I gave him a
(08:34):
B plus. He started with god Tyler Booker out of Alabama,
player I really like. So it just made too much
since I had a mock here, just made too much
sense that polusing Zach Martin retirement. I see him as
a player. There'll be another ten years starting Lineming for
the Cowboys. He just had that nazy demeanor you heard
in the press conference. You know his demeanor, how he
(08:56):
approaches the game. So I'm looking for him to be
a plug and play right guard, stress, sized power. The leadership,
the leader of Alabama definitely vocal that they need to
clean up a little bit of technique, but plug and play.
Then in the second round they were Madonovan as Iraku,
edge rusher out of Boston College.
Speaker 1 (09:15):
That was a pick I liked.
Speaker 2 (09:17):
I wasn't too sure of to fit with the Cowboys
at first, because I like them more than a three
four edge Russia as he is undersized, so they question
you know his ability to stop the run, but he
has a high motor, very quick off the edge to
seem very past rush ready. They're playing for Bill O'Brien
coming out like the Patriots type system at Boston College
(09:37):
that they brought up there. So I saw more than
a three four edge Russia. But I noticed that they'll
probably use them replace the Marcus Lawrence who they lost,
so I like that role. De Love was a little
undersized too, sometimes a little questionab is to run, but
he always gave the effort, so I like asaid Roker
to replace him.
Speaker 1 (09:56):
Solid moved to get him at.
Speaker 2 (09:57):
The top of the second round as he kind of
had late first round potential to good value. Then in
the third round, another good value pick, select the cornerback
Shavon Reveel junior out of ECU. He basically fell in
the draft coming off of ACL injury last season. He
chose to stay close to home and played the smaller ECU,
(10:17):
but he was a star there to kind of a
move pieces of safety corner, a very lanky corner, say
a good press cover. Is still a little bit raw
in his technique, but that can be definitely cleaned up.
But he gives number one potential possible replacement for Digs
while he's out for injury. Kind of that same raw
play style with good hands to another solid pick there.
(10:37):
He should be ready for training camp healthy by now.
In the fifth round, they went running back Jaydon Blue
out of Texas. It's more of a speedback gadget guy,
so it doesn't really run between the tackles, prefer more
to bounce it outside playing space, so he gives like
number two running back potential, but it seems to be
more of a third down back, change of pace guy.
(10:59):
But he showing top speed, so with that game breaking speed,
he would be a good number two to the right back.
But they need to see if he can block, and
he need to clean up his fumbler issues. Next day
want with linebacker Shamar James out of Florida. He's a
smaller linebacker, but he's an athletic with good speed and
a lot of special teams experience. He does give you
(11:19):
some pass rush and some coverage skills, so he's a
solid overall linebacker. Just need to improve his awareness, so
I'm sure he'll play on special teams and provide death
with some started potential. In the sixth round, dealing with
tackle Johnny Cornelias out of Oregon. He's an experienced right
tackle with good size at long arms, plays with good technique,
(11:41):
but he needs to improve his footwork improve against speed rushes.
But you go into the footwork thing as well, so
I can see him providing death. That's more the type
of tackle that Jerry likes more the type of lineman,
the long arms, taller guy, so he's more developmental right tackle.
And in the seventh rounding with defense tackle Jay Toya
out of UCLA. He comes from NFL blood lines. He's
(12:05):
an experienced news tackle with a high motor and good strength.
He does off of startup potential, but needs to clean
up some technique issues, so I believe he'll definitely be
in the rotation. He'll get a chance and should at
least get time on special teams. Yet he with running
back Phil MafA out of Clemson. He was a productive
player in college. He gave the baltmore as a workhorse,
(12:26):
so he's more of a power back with good size,
known as a patient runner, you know, wait for his
blocks to set up, but he lacks the speed in
the home run hitting ability doesn't really offer much as
a pass catching so I kind of like the offset
of what they thinking parent MafA with Blue, but there's
no guarantee that MafA makes the roster. But I can
see the vision there, but he has to impress the
(12:48):
preseason or in training camp. Last year went with defensive
tackle Tommy at King Posati out of Maryland. He's athletic
with good size, long arms, high motor, but he's still
ruwed the position. He could be a potential pass rush
defensive tackle, and he does have special teams experience, so
he could offer value on special teams, but he'll have
(13:10):
to fight for roster spot being picked so late in
the draft, but usually that's where you grab a guy
that you don't want to hit undrafted, so maybe a
do keep him around. It's a solid overall draft there.
I gave it a B plus. Give it an eight
minus just based on the steals that said. I like
darting right guard Tyler Booker taking old for Zach Martin,
(13:31):
as Iraku taking over for d Law Savon Revel possibly
covering for Diggs, or just giving him a solid, tall
corner safety mobile piece Jayden Blue. I'm not really so
sure about the more of a number three back to
me with number two potential, but he did show top speed,
so I understand there's some defensive tackle.
Speaker 1 (13:52):
There's some defensive tackle death. It's a fine back of death.
Speaker 2 (13:55):
Say that phil myfan blue workout definitely can increase the
value of this draft, but.
Speaker 1 (14:00):
I like it overall. Last for the Philadelphia Eagles, I
gave my a.
Speaker 2 (14:05):
I think it was probably my top draft overall, getting
good value throughout basically how they started off. I said
they were showing teams I just can get good value
and get your player anyway, but just good value throughout
the draft of me starting off first round taking your
hard Campbell linebacker out of Alabama.
Speaker 1 (14:25):
He was the top rated linebacker overall in the draft.
Speaker 2 (14:28):
With some injury concerns that he had around the scouting
combined process kind of dropped them because it's originally he'll
go like number eleven at the highest, maybe mid first round,
number nineteen at the latest, but due to concerns, people
let them drop. And I already knew that the Eagles
would have somebody drop to them in the first round.
So picking up Campbell good little star linebacker will possibly
(14:50):
play outside or in the middle, even though I think
he's been best in the middle. We can be a
do it all linebacker, so I'm not really sure exactly
what spot they view.
Speaker 1 (14:59):
Then eventually they got a playmaker start linebacker.
Speaker 2 (15:02):
They good side speed, athleticism, sideline and sideline, and then
this defense. He doesn't even need to play right away
so he can heal up. Then in the second round,
they went with a playoff like the safety Andrew mccoober
out of Texas. He's an undersized defensive back because he
can play safety in corner, so he might end up
being a nickel corner basically with Cooper Degene moving possibly
(15:25):
outside with the loss of diarys Sleigh, But mccooba gives
him good versatility. He's a guy that's definitely coming in
to hit you, so if you watch any of his highlights,
definitely throwing his whole body into an even under one
hundred and ninety pounds.
Speaker 1 (15:38):
So think he definitely need to add.
Speaker 2 (15:40):
Some strength to his frame with that mentality, but I
think he will possibly start on special teams. Say it
gives some corner safety versatility, but I expect to see
him on the field somewhere when people will get to
know him. Sin from solid pick grabbing the second round,
his value was low consistency.
Speaker 1 (15:56):
He's a little undersized, but you just needs a playmaker.
Speaker 2 (16:00):
He does have solid hands as well, so the cover
of skills continue to grow. His good awareness, just an
overall playmaker. I see him as the starting free safety eventually,
maybe even strong with how he's hitting. Then in the
fourth round with defensive tackle Todd Robinson out in Nebraska.
He's an improving pass rusher with good size, a high motor,
(16:20):
and he's good against the run already, but he does
have short arms, need to clean up some technique issues,
but he should be a rotation defensive tackle, taking that
role from Williams who left to the Patriots you know
for the high deal, so he'll be in at rotation
with Ardi and Davis. Next, in the fifth round, he
chose cornerback Mac McWilliams out of UCF. He's a physical,
(16:43):
improving nickel cornerback, well fit, beats in the nickel with
good awareness, and he's willing to start to run, but
he lacks top speed and left especs while you's see
him more inside while also need to clean up some
technique issues, so he'll provide death of the positions to
replace the Isaiah Rodgers when he lost to the Vikings,
then they say, like a linebacker. Samuel mondauan junior out
(17:07):
of Georgia. Another Georgia player for him, he's an experienced,
physical linebacker with three down potential. He's good in coverage
and he can't stop the run. He does have a
special team experience, but he needs to continue your ad
strapped to his frame and improve his overall awareness. He
dropped in the draft through the foot injury concerns, but
I said another situation where he don't need to be rushed.
(17:28):
I believe he's viewed as a middle linebacker, so Campbell
could probably be outside.
Speaker 1 (17:32):
For him being inside, let's say.
Speaker 2 (17:34):
He'll be a player that start off on special teams
as he develops. In the fifth round, he went with
senator Drew Kendall out of Boston College. He's a player
with NFL jeans. His father also plays center in the league.
Plays with good technique and good footwork, but he lacks
the left so he may be limited to center only,
which kind of dropped him in the draft, and his
(17:55):
questions about how you know taking on big nose tackles,
lacking the.
Speaker 1 (17:59):
Left and the size.
Speaker 2 (18:00):
Overall number two center for now who could develop into
the number one. Then in the sixth round, they got
quarterback Kyle McCord out of Syracuse. I see this as
a big steal. He was one of my sleepers. I
thought he had third round potential the Lofy room as
a guy. It's a good number two that you wouldn't mind,
you know, possibly getting the spots start late in the season,
(18:22):
and even with started potential, maybe not the top level starter.
I think it had to be like a situation more
close to what he had Ohio State, where you have
the weapons than at Syracuse where he was the guy.
But he does throw a solid deep ball, it's good
size for the position, a good arm. He's needed to
clean up some technique issues, stop going for the big
play and trying to always throw in the tight coverage.
(18:43):
That was more something he did said Syracuse Ohio State,
and he was a little bit more or less likely
to take the risk of Ohio State a solid backup
quarterback that developed there. My opinion, especially to get them
so late based on his experience. Then they selected tackle
out Center out of Michigan. Hinting is a huge tackle,
(19:03):
good size, long arms, and run blocking skills. He does
have NFL jeans, but it needs to improve his past
blocking and his technique, but he does have started potential,
so he's more of a developmental left tackle who should
stick around for death purposes. Then they also selected tackle
Cameron Williams out of Texas. This was a big steal.
(19:24):
People had him mocked originally late first, early second, but
I was never really that big on him as his
name never really came across as one of the top
guys as far as my research. But to get him
in the sixth rounds high value. It did say he
came with knee injury concerns. He is a big guy,
he does come away concerns that's been up and down.
(19:45):
Basically been a run mall and run block and right tackle,
which is basical his potential in the league for coming
from Texas. He does have good pedigree even though he
is still raw with one year starting experience. But I
said for people to view him so high originally put
the knee injury. The Eagles is a good place to
develop people. We maybe could take the Macy back then
route what they did with him. He was a big
(20:07):
run blocker and move him inside the right guard. It's
a power run block and right guard, so I see
the potential that Williams solid picked there. Then last for
that last pick in the sixth round, they chose Ede
Russer Antoine Powell Rawler out of Virginia Tech. He's another
guy viewed as a sleeper because he's a strong, high
mold a pass rusher, but he lacks the left need
(20:28):
to add some strength to his frame and improve against
the run. But the production was there in college, especially
as a pass rusher, so I can see him developing too,
at least a situational pass rusher who has potential to
be a chase down defensive end linebacker to another solid
pick there he can develop a worst case, I can
see him, you know, being on special teams as they
develop them. I see him making a roster as well.
(20:50):
So I believe so far that the Eagles is my
number one draft. They did get the value on Johard
Campbell select them late in the first he had mid
first round value, giving them potential starting linebacker. Then they
got save Deandrew Mccooverer'm used in a lot of ways.
Another potential started it well did tyd Robinson gives them
good death defensive tackle where he lost a solid player
(21:13):
or he'll be much needed. He should be at at
least provide something in the rotation, the least pass rust wise,
maybe on third downs. He got some tackle death or
old line death in general, added some linebackers or edge rusher.
That said, I like picking Kyle McCord. He's like a
number two quarterback, especially replacing Kenny Pickett. Kind of giving
(21:34):
me the same vibe, same potential level. For giving them
another quarterback to develop, It's not bad. Solid Old Rod drev.
Thanks for tuning in. Looking forward to giving your restro soon.
Thanks for the support.
