the things that me and Sister Dawkins like to do

catch a movie, right.

The previews basically give you a glimpse of what's going
to happen. What is a coming attraction may not be
out at the movie theater at the time, but it
gives you what's soon to come to a theater near you.

I tell you something that Jesus on his way to Calvary,
what receive before us in John chapter number eleven is
a preview of a coming attraction.

Place here in Bethany had the tomb of a man
called Lazarus, is a preview and a bit of foreshadowing
of what's going to happen when Jesus dies and is
buried and raised again on that third day morning.

Let's look at the Texas. Let's examine what the scene
of our text is showing us today. This Texas Taylor

was the brother of Mary and Martha. Y'all know Lazarus.
Lazarus was the one.

That lived in Bethany. Uh and Lazarus name mean helped
by God.

Not to be confused with the Lazarus that Jesus gave
me to love in a parable Franklin, where Lazarus had
died and he was carried into him, and he was
the becar that laid that the rich man's gave. Not
that Lazarus, Not the Lazarus that was desiring the crub
that fell from the rich man's table.

No, not that Lazarus.

But this Lazarus is a Lazarus that the Bible says
was a friend of Jesus.

And sisters, let me sum it up in a enough
cell what happened, and we're gonna talk about the rest
of the text and pull three things out that will
help us to understand this preview of things to come.

If we were looking at the text, we'll see that
this is what happened.

Lazarus was a man that Jesus considered a friend.
Speaker 1 (09:56):
Bible says not only was he a friend, but Jesus
loved Lazarus. Mary and Martha.
Speaker 4 (10:03):
It gives an indication that Mary was the same Mary
that opened up in valuable.
Speaker 11 (10:09):
Perfume and put it on the feet of Jesus and
let down her hair coulta as she was worship being
here right this Lazarus.
Speaker 1 (10:19):
The Bible says that Lazarus became sick.
Speaker 11 (10:23):
The Word of God says that they sent word to
Jesus saying, this is Lazarus, whom you love his Lord
is sick, and y'all know what Jesus did. Jesus stayed
there for two more days. Jesus didn't get him her it,
but I can hear him as I'm listening to his
conversation with his disciples. He says that all sickness is
not unto death, but that God.

Will get glory and the Son of God would be glorified.
And for the benefit of those that don't believe, it's
necessary that we not go.

Then. The Bible says that Jesus tells the disciples plainly
that Lazarus sleep, and they said, well, if he sleep.

Jesus, he's doing with all right. He said, well, Lazarus
is sleep, but let me help you understand what I
mean by sleep. Lazarus is dead, and I'm going so
we can wake him up. Y'all gonna pray for me.
Didn't want by the name of Didimus Thomas Didimus.

He said, well, Lord, if you're gonna go and wake
him up, we gonna go and die with you, because
you already know that they are seeking to kill you.
Speaker 1 (11:25):
And why is it that you want to go here
and do this day? He said, But we're gonna go
with you, all right. So the story goes.

On that Lazarus became sick, he died, he was buried,
and Jesus.
Speaker 1 (11:37):
Raised him from the dead. Y'all missed that. Let me
playing for the union. He died, he was buried, and
Jesus raising from the dead.
Speaker 11 (11:47):
I think, I said again, I remember culture that he
got sick, he died, he was buried, and Jesus raised
him from the dead. But let's look at the text
and understand this. This this text that I'm that sent
us before us and deal with nobody but Jesus. Can
I tell you the first thing I want you to
see in this text today.

Is that every now and then there will be a
divine delay, all right, Because you're never say, divine delay,

God doesn't always answer our call immediately. He doesn't always
readily respond to our commands and our demands.

They called for Teesus, but Jesus did not.

Respond, Mother Christ, is I like about it? It said
that Lazarus was Jesus' friend. It said that Lazarus was
somebody that Jesus love. But can I ask the Texas
question this morning? I if I was looking at this
Texans understanding that Lazarus is a friend of Jesus, and
Lazarus is someone that Jesus loved, why didn't Jesus do
(13:19):
something and come and prevent Lazarus from dying.

God, Jesus didn't even have to leave coach up. He
could have sent the word and Lazarus would have healed
from his sickness, just like he did the ruler's dog
he get in the Gospel of Loop. But the Bible
said that Jesus purposely delayed. Look at somebody and say
purposely because there was a reason that Jesus wanted things

it doesn't give you any lepards for God to do

It doesn't matter how many times you pay your time.

there's nothing you can't do about it, because God moves
at his own time frame. And if think we can
do to change God's mind, sometimes, as Mary and Martha discoverage,

But it seemed like God wasn't responded. And the more
that you're called on God, it seemed the more that
God turned.

You may have been sick in your body, but it
seemed like instead of getting better, you got work.

You went to your time and had some enemies.
Speaker 11 (15:54):
You prayed for one enemy and God see three more,

Upset because God didn't answer your prayer and things are
seemingly getting where what do you do when God ain't
acting like God?

What do you do when God is not answering your prayer?

You need to stay in the waiting room. I feel
the health of.
Speaker 11 (16:21):
My health coming because Isaiah said they ain't han't wait
uphold the Lord shall.

Renew their strength.

And if you wait on lads, after a while, he'll
sew up.

And when he sows up.

He'll never be late, but he'll always be right on time.

Every now and then, God puts you in the waiting room. Bust.
We know that God's never lay.

Can I tell you why God's never laid? Because God
doesn't operate on time. God operates on the eternity. I
wish I had somebody watch this that that God is
the one that created time. And if God created time,
he controls time. And if God controls time, he can

stop time and start time if he wanted to.

you in the waiting room.

think that God is not going to do it.

She says, if you would have been here first number
twenty one, if you would have been here, Jesus.

Know where you've been, but if you would have been

She wasn't doubting the power of God, but she was
saying that she knew he had present power.

She was speaking on the terms of Jesus's present power,
but what she didn't realize is that Jesus didn't have.

It gives an indication that Mary was the same Mary

Perfume and put it on the feet of Jesus and

here right this Lazarus.

The Bible says that Lazarus became sick.

The Word of God says that they sent word to
Jesus saying, this is Lazarus, whom you love his Lord
is sick, and y'all know what Jesus did. Jesus stayed
there for two more days. Jesus didn't get him her it,
but I can hear him as I'm listening to his
conversation with his disciples. He says that all sickness is
not unto death, but that God.

that Lazarus was Jesus' friend. It said that Lazarus was

Texans understanding that Lazarus is a friend of Jesus, and
Lazarus is someone that Jesus loved, why didn't Jesus do

something and come and prevent Lazarus from dying.

could have sent the word and Lazarus would have healed
