that we were gonna drive as our young people are

five PMG gets an alert on the phone, and the

So we're driving in the middle of nowhere, which I
later found out was in Paul's Valley, Oklahoma. As we
were driving through Paul's Valley, and we decided that we
were gonna pull over at this quote unquote.

Gas station casino. And as we were there and we were.

Gonna wait out the storm, and so my wife I said, hey,
why don't you track that storm and find out.

And as he began to track the storm, we found
out that we were right in the middle of where
it was supposed to come.

And I said, well, I'll tell you what. We seven
miles awaiting from being.

Safe get it in the car, baby, because we're not
gonna say, parry waiting for the storm. We're gonna press
our way. And these seven miles about to happen quick fast.

And the ear.

And as I as we were driving, the rain started falling.
It was healing and I could barely see as I
was driving. But it reminded me that while we were
in the storm, we didn't stop. I mean, somebody who
allow the storm.

We didn't stop because we kept going until we got
to the other side. Because we knew that the storm
had a time frame. Somebody kissed that over the and
that we continue to drive. We saw sunshine.

But imagine if we would have just stopped where we were,
we never would have made it for the storm. So
I said that I'm not gonna.

So these are two words that conveyed a simple message.

Oftentimes, when I'm talking to my three sons and my
lovely wife as the Dawkins five, we simply sometimes will
check in on each other. If I have a son
that's traveling a distance, I will simply send a quick text,
and the text composed of two words and simply says
you good. And they know that when they received that.

If you receive that from your father or your husband,
you know that I'm simply checking in to make sure
that everything.

That means that you get enough to ease. When you're
talking to someone and the conversation gets out of hand
and starts getting hit, you might say I'm good.

conversation is now.

are expressed simply by the two words you good.

say something about this rich young ruler that bears to
come in the presence of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Let me give you a little background that this young
man is mentioned in all the Synoptic Gospels.

And by Synoptic gospels, I do mean Matthew, Mark, and Luke.

John was not part of the Sunoptic Gospel because John's
narrative was a little different than Matthew, Mark and Luke,
even though they were all gospel writers. Can I can
I teach all something here in the text today we
find what.

We consider to be the rich young ruler. But can
I help you understand something. Matthew indicates that he was
young and rich.

Mark indicates that he was rich, but Luke is the
only one of the gospel writers that indicates that.

He was a ruler. So I mean it paint the
picture here.

It is, here's a man that's got it going on,
he's young, he's rich, and he's got some power. Anybody
in here a single with like a man that's young
mentioned has some power.

Here he is, he's got the finer things in life,
matter of fact, matter of fact, because he's a ruler.

That means and he has some people that he can
give some commands to. He will tell them to go,
and they go.

He will tell enough to come and they will come.
He's not worried about money, because he's got any of that.
He's not worried about being old because he is young.
But can I say something with you, my brothers and sisters,
we gotta understand something.

That just as quickly as things are now, they can
change in the bleak. And I wish I had somebody.
See I used to be the one that would look
at those senior citizens and one of them you know
some things. But now I have to come.

He shows up on the scene where Jesus is. Text
doesn't tell us our name. So every time you see
somebody in the Bible that doesn't have a name, you
can sit there.

he's a rich young ruler. But once this I have
to give him credit for one thing. He comes to
the place where Jesus is.

It's some folks that will come into the house of
God and perpetrate a praise to try.

And please people and let you think that they know
them when they really can't. I don't need to hear
your phrase on Sunday. I want to see your night
on Monday. I don't need to just hear your praise
on Sundays. I want to see how you live on
Friday and Saturday. And if your life they live it
up to your praise, it's something wrong.

Somewhere. He's on to a good start. He came to
where Jesus was.

Obviously he had heard something about this man by the
name of Jesus, cause anybody hear that herd or something
about that man named Jesus, And it was something about
Jesus that draw his ajus me.

So now he comes to the place where Jesus is
and he says unto him, good math, watch this, watch this.
We gotta be careful how we use that word good,
because I'm gonna share with you that sometimes we use
that word good too loosely.

Right. As a matter of fact, we are customed.

To using that word good in our vocabulary because coaching,
when you wake up, the first thing that to say
good morning.

If your past morning, you might say good day.

If you're getting ready to leave and go to work,
you say goodbye. When you get ready to close our
eyes and go to sleep, that night you say good night.

you that all the good that we do during the
day doesn't matter if we ain't living a life, and
what's the margin?

Back in those times, the rabbis considered what was good,
what was lining up legalistically with the law. I wish

That the law could not save, and no one could
live under the merits of the law. That's why I
thank God for some grace, because anybody here thank God
for great because if you will still un to the law,
if you will be missing some.

Maybe you ain't a rich man, but maybe you're like here.
Maybe you'll like him because you have something that you
have placed in front of God by dirtue making. Get

narrative was a little different than Matthew, Mark and Luke,

I don't even know what it's called, but I've been
seeing this little tool that come with it, and and
I just normally this parted.

So what I did was found it. And y'all know
what I did. I went to YouTube.

To find out how you use a little tool and
and basically what it says is you take this tool
and you think you stick it through the eye of
the needle.

Then you take the thread and stick it through the
bigger end of the apparatus and you just put through.

The eye of the needle, and then you roll that
through that pull my thread through and when I did that,
I said, Oh man, I wish I would have known
this years ago, would have made it easy because the
threat that needed. But that's not what a camera can
go through. When you talk about the eye of a needle,
