Hello friends, Steve Stockton here withyou. Welcome to our latest episode.
Now. Hunting can be an excellentway to connect with nature and is a
valuable resource for wildlife management. Spendinghours in a stand while searching for prey
can lead to exciting encounters with variousanimals you may not have expected to see.
Hunting provides unique experiences that others maynever have the chance to enjoy.
(00:24):
However, is essential to remember thatit also comes with risk. In this
video, we'll discuss cases of individualswho went missing while hunting. Join me,
let's walk and see first up.Midi Rivers. Midi Rivers, a
seventy four year old experienced outdoorsman, went missing on November twelve, nineteen forty
(00:48):
five, while hunting near Long TrailRoad in Vermont Route nine. He was
on a weekend hunting trip with fourother hunters in the mountains and was familiar
with the local area. Middy andhis son in law, Joe, was
on walked together before reaching a fork. Mitti planned to separate from Joe,
telling him he'd only be gone fora short distance before he would join them
(01:08):
at camp for lunch. As threepm passed and still no sign of Midi,
the rest of the hunting party startedsearching before contacting the authorities. They
conducted an extensive search, but theonly evidence they found was a single rifle
cartridge in a stream. A speculationwas that Mitty might have leaned over and
the cartridge had fallen out of hispocket into the water. So what happened
(01:32):
to Mittie rivers? Unfortunately, Mitty'sbody was never found and the case remains
unsolved. With so many years passed, we can only hope that what happened
to Mitty will someday be revealed.Next up, Mark A. Strip Majer
Mark A. Stripp Mader, aforty four year old hunter, went missing
(01:52):
on October nineteenth, twenty nineteen, while hunting alone in Medicine Bow National Forest,
Wyoming. Before entering the fort,he was last seen at a convenience
store in Saratoga, Wyoming. Hislast communication was a text message since his
girlfriend Kimberly Mees at around eleven amon that same day. When he failed
to return from the hunt, searchteams were deployed and his truck was found
(02:15):
on Forest Road eight oh one.Mark's disappearance became one of Wyoming's most prominent
missing person cases. An early seasonsnowstorm hindered search efforts, which continued for
over a week with no success.Another three day search in twenty twenty yielded
no results. In November of twentytwenty, the Carbon County Sheriff's Office released
(02:37):
a news statement stating that a hunterhad discovered Mark's binoculars. This discovery initiated
the third round of searching, whichinvolved a canine unit. Report mentioned that
the search also yielded other items thatcould have belonged to Mark, but no
remains were found. Then, onOctober sixteenth, twenty twenty two, a
group of hunters discovered a firearm concealedbeneath some vegetation. The hunters immediately notified
(03:00):
a game warden, who then formedthe Carbon County Sheriff's Office. This discovery
led to a series of searches byCarbon County officials and volunteers from the University
of Wyoming's Department of Anthropology and theWyoming State Archaeologist's Office. This led to
finding human remains and personal belongings inthe area located south of Rawlins. A
(03:21):
member of one of the search partiessaid that the remains were three hundred and
twenty five yards where his team conductedtheir initial search efforts. The Sheriff's office
said the remains were confirmed as Markstript Majers through an examination that included known
dental records. So what happened toMark stutt Majer. Mark warl like clothing
into the woods and was likely unpreparedfor the early season snowstorm. The most
(03:44):
plausible explanation is that he succumbed tothe harsh weather conditions. Next Philip Carnell.
Philip Carnell, a fifty eight yearold resident of Sikeston, Missouri,
went missing on November thirteen, twentytwenty two, while hunting in the Ozark
National Scenic Riverways near Cave Spring. He was dropped off in the area by
a friend, but failed to returnfrom hunting Later in the day. Family
(04:08):
and friends could not locate him andreported him missing. Emergency responders started searching
the area for him that evening.Volunteers and emergency responders combed the area on
foot, in vehicles, on horseback, and by boat. Aircraft and drones
made multiple passes over the area, while dog teams were deployed to pick up
scent trails. Philip's footprints, alongwith his gun and some of his gear
(04:30):
were found. After two intense daysof searching, his body was found by
volunteers on horseback. It suspected thatPhilip became lost and crossed a slough onto
a small island while tracking a deer. The corner ruled that the condition of
his body was consistent with hypothermia andexposure. Next up Michael Fowler. On
(04:51):
October nineteenth, twenty twenty, MichaelFowler, a seventy three year old hunter,
went missing while hunting in the NorthCreek Road area, Butte County.
He had been camping with his wifesince October seventeen and checked in at lunchtime
the previous two days. However,on the night of October nineteenth, he
did not return to the campsite, causing his wife to seek help from the
(05:14):
local authorities. Fawller was riding aRed Honda ATV when he left camp.
The Butte County Sheriff's Office wrote inthe press release, noting that their officers
were joined by Clark County Search andRescue personnel and volunteer searchers. They continue
searchers began an extensive search of thearea in an attempt to locate the ATV
and foller. On the second day, searchers located Michael's ATV. Parsons reported
(05:39):
that his rifle and hunting jacket wereleaning against a nearby tree. His body
was discovered ten days after he wentmissing by K nine teams, just a
half mile from his rifle and jacket. According to his family, Michael Fowler
died doing what he loved. Ina social media post by Michael's granddaughter,
she stated, I am so happythat he has been found and that's what's
(06:00):
most important in the end. Theclosure from our family and I is what
we wanted from the beginning now.The disappearance of Corey Kelly. Corey Kelly,
a thirty eight year old man, disappeared on October sixteen, two thousand
and six, while on a grousehunting trip and the Beltramie Island State Forest
woods with his friend Jim Neprud. It was Jim's first time hunting in the
(06:21):
area, while Corey had spent muchtime there during his youth as his uncle
had a cabin there. The twofriends set up camp in the forest and
Jim went to town to get gas, leaving Corey and his dog behind to
gather firewood. The two hunters hadplanned to meet at a designated point.
When he returned to the area,Jim flashed his vehicle's lights and honked the
(06:42):
horn to help Corey find his wayback in the darkness, but Corey never
returned. He pursued some game whenI was gone, which isn't unusual for
him. Jim said, I hadno reason to worry. My dog obeys
him, and it was beautiful out. When it started to drizzle, I
became more concerned, but by thattime it was late, so there was
nowhere to go. Jim solicited thehelp of two passers by the following day,
(07:06):
and after a brief search, theyalerted authorities. On October twenty five,
Jim's dog Sammy, who accompanied Corey, was found. This whole thing
has been mentally, physically and emotionallyexhausting. I can't even imagine what Corey's
family's going through, Jim said.Everybody's coming up with their own ideas of
what went wrong, but it shouldn'thave happened. That's it. Jim joined
(07:29):
the search later, hopeful they wouldfind Corey alive. Despite dozens of searches
conducted by sixty two agencies and spanningsix, five hundred hours during late fall
and early winter, Corey could notbe located in the heavily wooded area.
On October twenty seven, a searchdiscovered some of his clothing and other personal
items fifteen miles east before he waslast seen. They can't believe he got
(07:51):
about fourteen miles from where the campsitewas. He probably got there by the
first night. He must have beenflying through the trees the bushes. I
can't believe he could have gotten thatfar, said Corey's mother, Jan Kelly.
They're thinking he might have backtracked alittle the next day. Sadly,
on April twenty seven, two thousandand seven, helicopters spotted a body north
of the Rapid River Walking Trail bridgeoff Rapid River Road near Moose River Road,
(08:16):
north of Ford Town. The bodywas later confirmed to be Corey's.
Corey's family said they were grateful forthe many hours of assistance professional and volunteer
personnel provided in this search and recoveryeffort. We've had a lot of people
praying for us and helping us throughthis, Corey's mother said. Next up
Jeremy Childress. On October fifteenth, two thousand and four, Jeremy Childress,
(08:39):
a thirty one year old experienced hunter, went on an annual l hunting trip
in Tillamook Forest, rugged and treacherousterrain with his hunting partner, Shane Lewis
and Shane's twelve year old son. However, they lost track of their campsite
soon after. According to Shane, they spent two days looking for their camping
spot. Shane and his son eventuallyreturned to their truck around four thirty pm
(09:01):
on October seventeenth, but Jeremy walkedalong into the thick brush ahead. It
was the last time anyone saw him. An extensive search turned up no clues
as to his whereabouts. The locationwhere Jeremy disappeared is characterized by steep and
rugged terrain covered with brush with manygullies and fallen trees. Wild animals like
bears, cougars, and coyotes alsoinhabit the area. Authorities do not suspect
(09:24):
foul play in Jeremy's disappearance. Ispresumed he got lost or injured in the
wilderness and passed away. In twothousand and six, based on that theory,
Jeremy's wife obtained a death certificate forhim In reports issued just months after
Jeremy's disappearance, the under sheriff statedthat the area typically sees one or two
hunters go missing every season. Still, the majority eventually find their way back
(09:48):
to a road. In a twentyfourteen interview with a Statesman journal, Jeremy's
mother, Becky Grimes, said,I still have hoped that one day he'll
be found. I'd much rather havehim here with us than up there on
that mast. I still can't goup there and now. Alan Theas.
In November two thousand and three,Alan Theas, a fifty two year old
(10:09):
hunter from Eden Valley, Minnesota, went on vacation to Montana. He planned
to collect rocks and hunt mule deerin the Upper Missouri River Breaks area.
Before leaving, he told his motherhe would return home by the month's end.
Alan was a passionate out doorsman whoused to reside near the area he
planned to hunt. However, hehadn't visited the location in quite some time.
(10:31):
Alan worked for about ten years forGeocom, a company specializing in global
positioning systems, and was recognized asa responsible employee with a good reputation.
On November twenty two, Allan checkedinto the Super eight Motel located in Lewistown.
He paid a portion of his billin advance and his checkout date was
November twenty four. However, hedidn't leave on the assigned date and left
(10:54):
behind most of his belongings at themotel, except his hunting clothes and rifle,
which were not in the room.Allen was reported missing on November twenty
sixth, two days after failing tocheck out of his motel as scheduled.
A search plane found his truck partnear the Stafford Ferry on the Missouri River,
with an empty rifle case and hisboots on the floor. No other
(11:15):
evidence of his squareabouts was ever found. Fergus County Sheriff Tom Killum said,
it's extremely rugged, eroded ground. It dropped several hundred feet from the top
down to the river bottom. It'sbeautiful country, but it's terribly unforgiving.
You need to know what you're doinggoing into it. These breaks. They
are inside out mountains. So whathappened to Alan theis authorities believe Allen became
(11:41):
lost in the wilderness and ultimately succumbedto the elements. He was legally declared
deceased eight years after his disappearance.Next Raymond Lee Matlock. Twenty eight year
old Raymond Lee Matlock went missing duringa hunting trip in Raymond, Washington,
on November seventh, nineteen ninety eight. Two companions stated he disappeared while hunting
(12:05):
elk in the nearby Bone River area. The Pacific County Sheriff's Office, dozens
of volunteers, US Coast Guard, boats and helicopters extensively searched a dangerous area
of tidal mud flats. The searchlasted several days but had to be called
off due to heavy rain, butafter a month the search resumed with the
help of cadaver dogs, but unfortunately, the only item found was Raymond's hat.
(12:31):
In a twenty seventeen article from TheTimes, colonist Jack Knox discusses how
Raymond's body was unknowingly discovered off VancouverIsland on December third, nineteen ninety eight,
more than one hundred and twenty fourmiles from before he went missing.
Authorities did not realize that a bodycould travel such a significant distance. The
body was spotted by individuals aboard anAmerican vessel near Port Renfrew and was retrieved
(12:54):
by the U s Coast Guard inNea Bay, Washington, who brought it
to the island. An autopsy onthe remains found no evidence of violence,
disease, drugs, or alcohol.Full body X rays were performed and no
fractures were observed. An investigation wasalso conducted with BC and US police to
check for any connection to missing persons, but none was found. As a
(13:18):
result of these findings, the remainswere buried at the Royal Burial Park in
Sandwich on May twenty sixth, nineteenninety nine. However, the skull was
retained with hopes that might be usedlater for identification after technological advances. After
two post mortem exams, facial reconstructionand dental record comparisons, investigators found a
(13:41):
key clue, a missing front toothon the upper left side. No fingerprints
were found, but they helped aT shirt with a truck and surfboard design
and a Jimmy Z logo printed onit could help identify the man. In
twenty thirteen, a crucial development occurredin Raymond's case following the launch of Canada's
(14:01):
Missing dot CA, the National Centerfor Missing Persons an Unidentified Remains website.
One of the members noticed certain similaritiesbetween the port Renfrew case and the Raymond
Matlock case on the US NAMEUS website. A DNA comparison was necessary to connect
the remains to Raymond Mattlock. Ittook the BC Police Missing Person Center several
(14:22):
months to locate Raymond's mother, CarolynMattlock, who was able to provide a
DNA sample in twenty fifteen. Dueto the limited biological material, it took
much longer to construct a helpful profilefrom the steward's skull, and then on
December twenty one, twenty sixteen, eighteen years after Raymond went missing, the
DNA match confirmed the remains belonged tohim. The corner concluded his death was
(14:46):
an accident like grounding, with hypothermiaas a potential factor, after he possibly
fell into a body of water filefully clothed. After the positive identification was
made, Raymond's remained, which wereinitially buried in Royal Oak Burial Park,
were exhumed, cremated, and reburiedwith his family in Texas at no cost,
(15:07):
providing the family with a closure theydesperately saw it. Now we have
Charles Hoff. In late November twothousand and four, Charles Hoff a seventy
six year old retiree, Navy veteranand resident of Lakeland, Florida, expressed
his desire to go hunting in theGreen Swamp Wildlife Management Area, which spans
parts of Polk Lake in Sumter Counties. Charles had a collection of guns and
(15:31):
frequently went hunting alone in his youngeryears. However, his wife, Shirley
was apprehensive about him going alone andadvised him against it. Charles agreed to
go hunting with his son in law, Todd Therrington on Thanksgiving morning to please
his wife. However, he kepthis plan to scout for deer before the
trip with his son in law asecret. On the morning before Thanksgiving,
(15:54):
Shirley left for work, and aneighbor saw Charles leaving in his white nineteen
ninety four Master truck shortly after herdeparture. When Shirley returned home from work,
she noticed a package of meat inthe sink that had gone bad,
and there was no note to explainCharles's absence. Shirley grew anxious and decided
to call her daughters, but noneof them had any information about charles whereabouts.
(16:17):
As the night progressed with no signof him, Terry Griffin, one
of Shirley's daughters, became increasingly worriedand contacted the authorities. Shirley Huff spoke
with a Polk County Sheriff's deputy onThanksgiving morning. Todd Deterrington recalled a place
in the Green Swamp Wildlife Management Areawhere he and his father in law used
to fish. Later, Therington andRob Griffin, another son in law,
(16:38):
went to the remote location in SumterCounty where they discovered Charles truck parked off
a dirt road known as Tannic Grade. Law enforcement officials from the Florida Fish
and Wildlife Conservation Commission and the Polkand Sumter County Sheriff's offices searched for Charles
daily from dawn to dusk, withapproximately forty personnel involved. All three agencies
(17:00):
dispatched helicopters and canine teams to assistin the search efforts. However, heavy
rainfall impeded the dog's ability to trackthe scent, and the recent coal snap
was a cause for concern for theolder man's safety. The search saw participation
from officials of almost all local lawenforcement agencies, hunters, and volunteers.
Additionally, several Lakeland restaurants generously donatedfood for the searchers. Despite ten days
(17:26):
of extensive searches, charles relatives hadto reluctantly give authorities permission to stop.
A few months later, volunteers withcanaver sniffing dogs combed the area again,
but unfortunately this effort also failed toreield any results. So what happened to
Charles Hoff? Charles was believed tobe happy with his life and there was
(17:47):
no sign that he would abandon everythinghe had. Moreover, his bank accounts
and investments were left untouched. LawyerRob Griffin stated that it was unlikely that
the search party missed Charles in thesection of the green swamp they covered on
foot. He suggested two possibilities.Charles walked a long distance before passing away,
or was abducted and taken far awayfrom miss truck. The family also
(18:10):
thinks that robbery could be a possibility. Griffin estimated the worth of charles hunting
rifle to be five hundred dollars.Furthermore, Charles wore a Rolex watch and
a ring with a large diamond inmy heart. I feel like there was
foul play that someone out there knowswhat happened to him, Shirley Huff said,
but you know, you can't sayfor sure. Despite an extensive search
(18:33):
and years of investigation, Charles Hoffwas presumed dead in twenty ten. His
disappearance is classified as a cold case, and the Sumter County Sheriff's Office requests
anyone with information to contact them atthree five two five six nine one six

(18:56):
at one eight hundred four two threetips tis Next. Steve Keel. In
August of twenty twenty two, SteveKeel, a sixty one year old former
marine an avid out doorsman from Dover, Tennessee, went cariboo hunting with his
friend Brian Collins in the Alaskan Wilderness, approximately sixty miles south of Dead Horse.
(19:19):
On August twenty seven, Steve leftto retrieve supplies about six tenths of
a mile from their campsite and toldBrian he would be right back, but
he failed to return. Brian wasnot initially worried, but after Steve had
been missing for a day, heknew something was wrong. After Steve disappeared,
members of the Dover community, includingBrian and Steve's two adult sons,
(19:42):
also experienced outdoorsmen, gathered to searchfor him in the remote and treacherous area
where he went missing. An extensiveground search was conducted and over two hundred
thousand dollars was spent on helicopter equipmentand fuel to aid in the search for
Steve. Steve was wearing camouflage, which made hindred helicopter searches. Despite their
(20:03):
best efforts, there was no traceof Steve. A fifteen thousand dollars reward
was also offered for any information. There was thought to be a break in
Steve's case in August of twenty twentythree, when a family search team reported
a possible deceeize person in a shallowtundra lake. The troopers sent a specialized
dive team to the site. Aftersearching the entire floor of the small lake,
(20:26):
the team found no human remains orthe item of the group believed to
be a body from a sonar image. Steve's wife, Liz Keel, shared
on the Search for Steve facebook pagethat they will be doing everything we can
moving forward to bring Steve home.Next up Raymond Jones On September seventh,
nineteen sixty eight, Raymond Jones, who is thirty nine years old at the
(20:48):
time, went bow hunting for mountaingoats on the east fork of Hayden Creek
in limb High County. Despite beingin the company of other hunters at the
camp, Raymond went missing alone whenhe failed to return to camp. His
hunting partners notified the local sheriff's officeand a search was conducted by land and
air. An Associated Press article datedSeptember fifteenth, nineteen sixty eight, covered
(21:11):
Raymond's disappearance. The report described thesearch that followed, which was halted due
to a heavy snow. A fewdays later, however, the search resumed
when authorities discovered footprints in an unsearchedarea. Unfortunately, no trace of the
missing hunter was found, and thesearch was called off again. Raymond was
officially declared deceased in nineteen seventy.I believed for a long time that he
(21:33):
would be found. I kept hoping, and it was probably fifteen years before
I finally gave up, said Raymond'sson Jeffrey, who was twelve years old
when his father went missing. Rumorsand stories kept circulating that somebody had seen
him, or that he took off, hired all this stuff and just kept
expecting or hoping that he'd walk throughthe door one day. Fifty three years
later, on September seventeen, twentytwenty one, a bow hunter looking for
(21:57):
a shortcut discovered the two weathered blackboots sticking out from under a boulder in
rocky terrain. He said when hefound him, he knew this was historic,
someone who had been missing a longtime. The hunter told Jeffrey He's
not a religious person, but hesaid it felt like he was meant to
be there. The remains were identifiedas Raymonds by the finding of his credit
(22:18):
card and other belongings. Jeffrey said, after the identification of his father,
I feel blessed that I know inmy lifetime what happened to him. I'd
given up hope of ever finding out. Raymond had a proper burial at Miles
City Cemetery, finally providing his familywith a closure they had so desperately sought
for decades. Next Pacey Stains, twenty four year old Pacey Stains, a
(22:44):
U. S. Army veteran, was hunting around the fifty three hundred block
of North Dietrich Road in Junction City, Kansas, around seven forty five am
on August twenty, twenty twenty three, when he went into a wooded area
alone. The last contact anyone hadwith Pacy was around zel forty five pm
that day. Geary County deputies respondedan asserts the area to locate Pacey,
(23:06):
but were unsuccessful. Geary County deputiesremained in the area until members from the
Gary County Sheriff's Office, Dickinson CountySheriff's Office, Shawnee Fire Department, Kansas
Department of Wildlife and Parks, theKansas Highway Patrol, and the Junction City
Fire Department were able to initiate asearch for Paisy during the daylight hours.
Sadly, news sources reported that onAugust twenty two, twenty twenty three,
(23:27):
at around six thirteen pm, Pacey'sremains were discovered by the Gary County Sheriff's
Office and the Kansas Department of Wildlifeand Parks in a densely forested area near
Milford Lake. A graveside service washeld for Paisey on August thirty one,
twenty twenty three, and he wasburied in Kansas Veterans Cemetery in Manhattan,
Kansas. His habituary describes him asa defendable family man who lit up every
(23:51):
room entered with his smile. Atthe time of this video, Pacey's cause
of death is still under investigation orhas not been released to the public.
Next up, Jay Shrek and Ghust. Fifty six year old Jay Shrek and
Gust, A Seattle, Washington deputyfire chief, was reported missing on November
two, twenty twenty one, inmountainous terrain about twenty four miles west of
(24:12):
Natchez. He was hunting for elkand never checked in with his family that
night. After Jay went missing, the search room involved sixty agencies and thousands
of hours of trained searchers. Theyused ground teams, ATV riders, military
helicopters, drones, and search dogsto locate him. Unfortunately, after twelve
days of searching, Jay's body wasfound near Cliffdell, about a half a
(24:36):
mile from where his pickup truck wasparked on November two. The Sheriff's inspector
said that Jay was found in steep, hard country with tons of ravines and
steep end clients, with elevation reachingover twenty five hundred feet. According to
the Kitatas County Sheriff's Office and autopsyrevealed Jay Shrekingngost died from multiple blood force
injuries after falling from a steep hillside. More than once were saden to give
(25:00):
news of Chief Shrek and Gos passingto his family and fellow firefighters, and
we asked the public and press torespect their privacy as they grieve his loss,
Sheriff Clay Myers said in a pressrelease. In a statement by the
Seattle Fire Department, it was saidDeputy Chief Shrek and Gost was a husband,
father, and friend to all,and our hearts are with his family
right now, who have been atthe site every day searching alongside search and
(25:22):
rescue, fire and law enforcement agencies, and lastly, Shawn Higgins. On
October fourteenth, twenty sixteen, fortyone year old Shawn Higgins is twenty one
year old son Trevor and Trevor's uncleWill Chandler. We're hunting in the Shasta
Costa drainage area of Bear Camp, approximately forty five miles east of Gold Beach,
Oregon. It was an area Seawnknew well. Trevor and Shawn had
(25:45):
split up to hunt independently, planningto reunite later that day at their truck.
After that, they're supposed to driveand pick up Trevor's uncle, who've
been dropped off at another location inthe woods earlier that day. Shawn's wife,
Stephaniehickiggins, told Dateline that Trevor waswaiting at the truck for his dad
after getting a buck the day before. However, his dad never showed up.
(26:07):
He grew concerned as it started toget dark and a storm rolled in.
Sean was on a footpath that ranalongside of road. Stephanie explained,
he's an outdoorsman who knew the area, and he knew Trevor was waiting for
him. It doesn't make any sensethat he didn't make it out that evening.
As time passed, Trevor's uncle arrivedat the designated spot and they separated
to search for Sean. However,as the night approached, Trevor lost his
(26:30):
way. Instead of risking getting lostin the wilderness, he built a shelter
in that location and waited for help. Stephanie received the unsettling news that her
husband and son were missing early thefollowing day. According to her, when
Trevor's uncle could not locate either ofthem, he contacted the Curry County Sheriff's
office for assistance. Search and rescueteams from multiple counties across the state arrived
(26:52):
at the location and assisted Curry County'ssearch and rescue and scouring the hazardous terrain
while the weather remained cold and wet. Fo more days of searching, Trevor
was found with the search teams aroundtwo and a half miles away from where
he'd entered the woods in search ofhis father. Following his discovery, he
was therelifted by the US Coast Guardto Bury a hospital due to severe hypothermia
(27:12):
resulting from his prolonged exposure to thecold and wet weather. The search for
Shawn persisted throughout the night, withmultiple crews enduring the cold and damp weather
To widen the search area. Canineunits were deployed, and drones and helicopters
scoured the sky above the trees. The community also came together, with hundreds
of members supporting search efforts and providingfood, clothing, and supplies. Eleven
(27:36):
days after Sewn went missing, CurryCounty Sheriff John Ward sadly had to call
off the search. We weren't readyto give up. Shawn's sister Tera Fisher
told Dateline there been other searches overthe years, but Seawn remains missing.
Terror mentioned that there been numerous storiesand rumors circulating regarding the disappearance of her
brother Sean, including a possible encounterwith Bigfoot. Some believed that Shawn might
(28:00):
have fallen into ravine so hazardous thatit's inaccessible to search teams, while others
speculate he might not even be inthe woods. So what happened to Sewn
Higgins? Did he fall into aravine or succumb to the elements? We
can only hope he will be foundso his family can have some degree of
closure. In April twenty seventeen, the service was held for Sewn in Coop's
(28:21):
Bay. Anyone with any information regardingShawn's disappearance so as to please contact the
Curry County Sheriff's Office five point fourone two four seven three two seven six.
In conclusion, hunting is an activitythat people from various backgrounds cherish.
According to the Center for Humans andNature, almost all hunters claim they hunt
(28:42):
to experience nature directly. Hunting providesa unique opportunity to connect with nature and
enjoy the outdoors. In deer campsand duck blinds throughout the countryside, people
from different social and political classes cometogether to share their passion for hunting and
the environment. These places there asa unifying force for individuals who share love
(29:02):
for nature and the outdoors. However, being mindful and prepared before venturing into
the woods is crucial. Even experiencedhunters can become vulnerable due to unexpected injuries,
weather events, or lack of preparation. Follow local hunting guidelines. Bring
proper gear and wear appropriate clothing toreduce the chances of being mistaken for game
animals. Inspect your equipment before eachuse, have a plan and inform some
(29:26):
one of your whereabouts and expected returntime. Following essential safety tips, adhering
to local guidelines and being prepared forthe unexpected can make for a memorable experience
and ensure your safe return. Well, friends, there you have it.
What do you think of these casesof hunters who went missing? I look
forward to your comments, but pleasekeep it friendly and respectful. Until we
(29:51):
meet again, be good to yourselvesand each other. As for me,
I'll see you a little further ondown the trail. I'm Steve Stockton,
and I'll talk to you next time, and please tell your animals, I said Ay
