This week on Strange Talk, Alyx is joined by two powerhouse guests from the paranormal world: Noelle (aka Mrs. Creep) from Creepy Confidential and Joanna, the Supreme of Coven of Screams! Together, the trio dives headfirst into the question: would we survive a horror movie, or would our curiosity absolutely doom us? Curiosity may kill the cat, but it also makes for great radio.

We’re also talking all things GhoulieCon, happening July 12–13 at the historic Southgate House Revival. We're talking what to expect, what not to miss, and who to haunt. Be sure to catch our trio's panel “Phantom Focus” put on by Creepy Confidential, where we’ll be digging into spooks, ghosts, and spirits in film from a more scientific and research-based perspective. Joanna's also dropping some exclusive, never before heard information about what lays ahead for GhoulieCon next year! Absolutely do not miss this.
Plus, find out why we’re calling ourselves the Paranormal Powerpuff Girls: Mrs. Creep is Blossom with all the brains and investigative prowess, Joanna obviously brings the bubbly charm as Bubbles, and Alyx? Alyx is absolutely Buttercup...most likely to fight a ghost and a skeptic in the same night.

It’s a fast, funny, and freaky episode packed with laughs, lore, and a little chaos. Don’t miss it!
Music for this episode includes the Strange Talk Intro by Star Silk, One Eyed God by RELIC, and backing tracks by Panda Beats.

Speaker 2 (01:58):
Good evening.

Speaker 3 (01:59):
This is Noel the Weirdo Wisconsin night and host of
Creepy Confidential. I talk about cryptos, cults, conspiracies, and other
worldly creepy.

Speaker 4 (02:12):
And my name is Joanna. Hello. I am the I'm
gonna steal Noel's line that she gave me. I'm the
Ghoulie of the Supremes. Yeslies the Premium, the Preme of
the Goolies.

Speaker 1 (02:23):
Yes yeah, and uh, we're all on one episode this
week because we wanted to talk about Goolie Con that
is coming up and the dates on that will put
it at the beginning and the end just for funzies.
It is the eleventh through uh thirteenth thirteen.

Speaker 4 (02:43):
Yep, yes, so.

Speaker 1 (02:45):
That is in July at the South Key House.

Speaker 3 (02:51):
Yes, I'm very excited. I have I have never been
at there. So oh, it's exacting it all all weekend there.

Speaker 1 (02:59):
It's all so an old church and also haunted.

Speaker 2 (03:04):
Oh well, then that's red up my alley like a
rerun of West exactly.

Speaker 4 (03:10):
Also across the street from the Newport Pizza Company. So
why we just choose churches and pizza? I don't know what.

Speaker 1 (03:20):
The essential haunting churches and pizza and pizza, that's what.
What more do you need?

Speaker 3 (03:26):
No, I'm stoked from the pizza, but I'm stoked to
and be in a cool haunted environment like that.

Speaker 4 (03:35):
Oh, you're gonna die when you get in there.

Speaker 1 (03:37):
It's so cool. You're gonna love it so much. The
stained glass is pretty.

Speaker 3 (03:44):
And I love that. The other what was the other, the.

Speaker 1 (03:46):
Leaping leaping lizard?

Speaker 3 (03:49):
Yeah, oh my gosh, I just I could have just
hung out in there a minute. You walked in there,
you had the feel, Yeah, the vibe. I mean, that's
like an overused word nowadays I get it, but it
totally did so I'm I'm stoked. Yeah, I really want
to see this place.

Speaker 1 (04:06):
This definitely has not the same vibe, but very similar vibes.
It's got the haunted feel.

Speaker 4 (04:14):
It's just the lighting alone. Yes, night is going to
be super good.

Speaker 1 (04:23):
I've never been there and not had a weird experience there.
Not normally paranormal, weird, but some kind of weird sometimes paranormal.
Mostly just kind of weird, but always fun weird, never
bad weird, always fun weird.

Speaker 4 (04:37):
It's actually really exciting. I'm ready. I'm ready to be weird.

Speaker 3 (04:42):
So for those of you listening, we briefly talked about dates.
So googli Kan is not just a one day thing.
It's actually starting it's like a four day thing.

Speaker 1 (04:53):
Yeah, I was gonna say Gholikan is the three days,
but there's the bar crawl the day before.

Speaker 2 (05:00):
Are exactly so that starts on the tenth.

Speaker 3 (05:04):
And now that I've only briefly kind of looked and
seen where you guys are going, Joanna, can you give
us some details about that? How about the pub crawl?

Speaker 4 (05:13):
Yeah, so we are going to So I just a
little behind. I grew up in Covington, born and raised
in the CoV which is why I am doing everything
in like the Covington and Newport area. So we are
going to be mainly focusing on like Mainstrouse in that
general area for it, because Mainstrouse is a creepy little

(05:35):
area too. The is also haunted if you guys want
us to do an investigation, but we are just going
to be going around and just being spooky.

Speaker 3 (05:49):
Are there any places that are on the list like
that are participating that that you know off the top
of your head.

Speaker 4 (05:55):
So Covington Yard is going to be one up over
Main Shrouse. We have Max Pizza Pub and all these
bars also do have really good food.

Speaker 1 (06:05):
I thought you were about to say they're all haunted
as well. I mean I was about to be like, wait,
Max pizzas haunted, I need to do.

Speaker 4 (06:11):
This and the Standard. So we've got about four bars.
You know, we didn't want to go crazy the first time. Yeah,
we want to, right, So we've got and they all
are very close to each other, so you can just
crawl if you want to crawl on the streets of
Covington by all means.

Speaker 1 (06:26):
You have a zombie crawl. Though it's got to be
a zombie crawl.

Speaker 4 (06:30):
Yeah, definitely. We encourage the participation of the costumes.

Speaker 3 (06:33):
Yeah yeah, you know, a part of me I was like,
I did not take off for like the all the
four days because I work at day job. Still as
much as I love Creepy Confidential, I do make something
from it, but I have to do something that's bigger,
and I really wanted to come down just so I
can get dressed up from one of my characters and
have some little beverages and go.

Speaker 4 (06:57):
It starts a fine so yeah technical.

Speaker 3 (07:01):
Techniquely I love that. And then so, but we don't
want the ghoulies to be too hungover.

Speaker 1 (07:08):
Yeah, we don't want to feel bad.

Speaker 3 (07:11):
Yeah, like everyone still needs to be fresh, so it
can't go like too crazy.

Speaker 2 (07:15):
You got to make sure you eat a.

Speaker 3 (07:16):
Lot because the next day, the next evening is the
Excellence Awards.

Speaker 1 (07:21):
Excellence Awards.

Speaker 4 (07:22):
Yes, now that is actually crazy I.

Speaker 3 (07:30):
Am. Now for me personally, this is an event like
I'm not I'm not necessarily there to be the you know,
I talk and I can be the mouthpiece when it
comes to my kind of thing, but this is for
me as the host to go have fun. I will
be premiering one of my new characters there that night,

(07:50):
just to go and have fun. So for those listening
or maybe have no of me, I enjoy doing like
hot creations as well.

Speaker 2 (08:00):
I've been doing that since I was in middle school.

Speaker 1 (08:02):
If somebody's listening in and they don't know you at
this point, they're not really listening in.

Speaker 2 (08:07):
What are you doing?

Speaker 1 (08:09):
What are you even doing? You've You've told so many
great stories on this show, like so many great Goose stories.
I like to sneaking and call I know, I love
it probably.

Speaker 3 (08:23):
And I'm like, oh, I got something.

Speaker 2 (08:24):
I got.

Speaker 1 (08:25):
I got so I can save names to numbers in
our call in software. But I kind of enjoy it
being a surprise of not knowing how I'm going to
get on the other end. So I just pick up
and I'm like, who's this going to be?

Speaker 3 (08:37):
Like, go for it, y Wisconsin, I calls, and then
I get the stronger my Wisconsin accent gets, and I believe,
like last time I called in was how my whole
team could have ended.

Speaker 1 (08:49):
Up being yeah, getting murdered. Yet that episode was so
fun because right before that or right after that, was
when Kimmy from a louring called in and we were
talking about the Utah werewolve, So it was just such
a juxtaposition of like, we all could have died anyway.
Have you seen a Utah werewolf? Because it's ridiculous looking.

Speaker 3 (09:10):
It's ridiculous, and that is like, that's I think that
is what is essential about people who are in the
fourteen world. Either you're in aliens, you're in preachers, you're
even in the characters that are in horror movies. To
try together the horror movies, I think we all understand that,
first of all, we can go from subject A to

(09:31):
subject C in two seconds, but also that that's part
of it. Is like one second you're talking about a
true life, crazy story and the next minute you're like,
oh my god, you've seen this creature exactly.

Speaker 1 (09:42):
That is exactly the whole point of this show and
why it is a little bit of everything, because I
couldn't pick only talking about aliens, or only talking about ghosts,
or only talking about cryptids, or only talking about horror movies.
Like it's there's always gonna be a little bit of everything.
Also because my attention span is like a ping pong ball.

Speaker 3 (10:00):
I'm a hyper focuser, Like I've been thinking about and
building this like all it is is me attending the
Excellence Awards.

Speaker 2 (10:08):
That's how excited I am.

Speaker 1 (10:10):
Yeah, and you've got your character.

Speaker 3 (10:12):
I bought the ticket I have because yes, I bought
a ticket. This is like, I think that's important to
exactly don't be that homely handout every two seconds.

Speaker 2 (10:25):
It is it's it's important.

Speaker 3 (10:28):
So if you were listening, you know, buy a ticket,
don't ask for a free ticket.

Speaker 2 (10:31):
I come.

Speaker 3 (10:32):
But as soon as I got my ticket, I have
been focusing on everything from the makeup, the context that
what my hair is going to do, like runway shows,
because I've been watching certain runway shows like Jean Paul
Gautier and all. Yes, to take from it so that
I can build a character for the Excellence Awards, because

(10:54):
I want to see you who win.

Speaker 4 (10:56):
I cannot wait. It's a black carpet. It's gonna be
a spooky little vine.

Speaker 3 (11:05):
I'm also Johanna, What's what are we like? What's what's
going to be presented there?

Speaker 4 (11:10):
So the Awards honestly was a brainch out of mine
last year, and then I had to get knocked down
a couple of pigs because they said you cannot do
your first year con and an award shown one time.

Speaker 1 (11:20):
That's what I mean, right, Okay, had a point, but
also I think you would have knocked it out.

Speaker 3 (11:26):
Yeah, I agree.

Speaker 4 (11:29):
So the Hexton's Awards is really just a way for
us to celebrate the community of horror here on overmedia,
in our in our world. And it's not just for
people that talk about horror movies. We're probably gonna say
that a couple of times during just the con in
general and the Excellence Awards, because I think that we've
gotten to a point that if you do not talk

(11:50):
about Scream, if you don't talk about the movies coming out,
that you're not considered part of that community. I grew
up obviously watching the movies, but I loved the Cryptids,
I loved the Urban Legends, and which is why I
when I saw you guys specifically.

Speaker 1 (12:11):
I remember that first email I got from you, and
I was like, Oh, this looks really cool.

Speaker 4 (12:17):
It's it's just so much more than just watching a
horror movie. It is, and that's what we want. The
avant garde, the creativity, The aesthetic alone of having a
black carpet with people dressed up is like, yes, there's.

Speaker 1 (12:33):
Just so much, this kind of cross crossroads between creativity
and curiosity. You have the creativity of, you know, the
horror and all the blood and the guts and the
fabulous black carpet, you know, dressing up, and then the
curiosity of you know, people who enjoy monsters and ghosts
and horror movies for that same reason. And sometimes even

(12:56):
I would say, there's definitely like a lot of like
true crime people there too.

Speaker 3 (13:00):
Yeah, oh yes, And I love when the true crime
passes over into also either paranormal or something very strange.
And that's what that's those of the type of show
that I don't cover a lot of true true crime personally,
but I do if it has something specific either there
the lady is haunting, it usually seems to be a

(13:20):
lady that's murdered.

Speaker 1 (13:21):
I'm sorry that it.

Speaker 3 (13:22):
Is statistically speaking, but like the Lady of the Lake
where her body turned to soap, where sophonification happen, like
the stories like that. But I still think of that
story and I'm like, why is this not a horror
movie like the whole, the whole, like her her whole story. Yeah,
could be something like that. It was just wild, So

(13:45):
I like that I agree that, like your brain shouldn't
necessarily be interested in this according to people nowadays, but
also you may learn something. Hopefully you'll learn Listen, you know,
your whole entire paranormal team should not call into an
attic where you know, you close the key, you know,

(14:06):
my investigation, but also maybe the true stories behind these
horror movies something or like where Chucky came from, which
I love, you know, like I covered that one, Yeah,
and things like that.

Speaker 1 (14:20):
You gotta you gotta listen to the little prickling in
the back of your neck when your hairs started to
stand up. You got to listen to that. Sometimes, don't
go in the creepy basement even though you really want
to know what's down there.

Speaker 2 (14:33):
Right, we might sense says No.

Speaker 4 (14:37):
I did that on accident. We were at an airbnb
down there with Nick and Erny, and I went down
the basement.

Speaker 1 (14:46):
None of us are surviving the horror movie, by the way, we're.

Speaker 4 (14:48):
All going, and a certain somebody decided to follow me
and just do calm with us.

Speaker 1 (14:55):
Right.

Speaker 2 (14:56):
I can hear the voice, yeah, you know in fact happen.

Speaker 3 (15:01):
He doesn't do it to me, but I can hear
the voice in my head.

Speaker 4 (15:04):
And then by the time I ran upstairs, he was
sitting back down and I was like, why did you
do that? Because I don't know what you're talking about. Okay,
we would not. I shouldn't have done that.

Speaker 2 (15:15):
Why I did, I don't know.

Speaker 4 (15:17):
I don't know, But there's a whole.

Speaker 2 (15:19):
Thing I think. I think that should be a game.

Speaker 3 (15:22):
I know we did that with my my paranormal group
years ago. It was one of those weird down times
where like nothing was happening, like the five of us
were going through each other trying to figure out if
we're in a horror movie. He would be the first
of the.

Speaker 4 (15:37):
We need to do that, we need to do that,
we should do that.

Speaker 3 (15:41):
It's fun.

Speaker 4 (15:44):
Reminds me.

Speaker 1 (15:44):
Should I share the group name? We were talking about
our of We were talking about how this group, specifically
the three of us are the paranormal powerpuff Girls.

Speaker 5 (15:56):
We are.

Speaker 1 (15:57):
We have missus Creep, who is our blossom, who is
the the the hardcore researcher of us, uh Joanna, who
is definitely the most bubbly of us, and uh I
am definitely the one probably most likely to fight somebody.
Unfortunately it is not always a great you are, but

(16:18):
it's fine, it's fine. Yeah, we row each other, we
round each other out, but we will all die in
a horror movie because we're all going to We're like,
what is that? I want to know?

Speaker 3 (16:30):
I don't know, bro, I am suspicious of everyone and everything,
and you are always been the one to get out
of dodge before anything bad happened.

Speaker 4 (16:41):
One in the beginning that would be like, why are
we are we really doing this? I believe here seeing it? Yeah?

Speaker 1 (16:51):
With me, I like, I like to dip the toe
in where I'm like, I'm gonna check that out and
then if it looks sketchy, I'm like, no, nope, nope, no,
I'm good already got You're probably probably.

Speaker 4 (17:01):
You're gonna have to be the one in the documentary
telling what happened with us.

Speaker 2 (17:07):
And then she decided to stick her foot in the water.

Speaker 1 (17:11):
Have I told you all this is not a paranormal story.
Me and my old true crime group we used to
just talk about true crime. We went to the True
Crime Museum down East Alcatraz down in Gallinburg, and we
got a cabin and it was nice and it had
a hot tub and we were all sitting in the
hot tub and We're sitting around telling stories and laughing

(17:33):
and having fun. And I'm sitting with my back to
the woods and suddenly my friends, who are facing the woods,
their faces just fall mid sentence, and I'm like looking
at them, I'm like, oh my god, I'm gonna turn
around and there's gonna be a guy with a machete. Yeah.
So I turn around and it is a black bear,

(17:54):
and I was like, well, no, I was like, oh,
it's just a black bear. I don't care about that.
And so they all got up and got out of
the hot tub, and I was just like, what, it's
a black bear, Like, what's he gonna do? They're skittish,
and so because they got up, I was like, I
guess I should probably get up to I probably shouldn't
just sit here in case the black bear does design
to maul me. And then one of my friends got

(18:16):
really big and was like hey, and then the black
bear got scared right off. But I was like, I
was fully just like, well, I guess I'm just gonna
let this black bear kill me whatever, and.

Speaker 4 (18:24):
Like, if you want to know what it's like to
be in this community, that's that's our first thought.

Speaker 1 (18:28):
Yeah. Well, I was just like, well, then, God, it's
not a man with a machete a black bear. I'm
not scared of that.

Speaker 2 (18:35):
Exactly, but a gigantic mauling ability.

Speaker 1 (18:39):
Like black bears are pretty skittish though. I was like,
if it was a grizzly bear, I would have been concerned.

Speaker 4 (18:46):
But I was like, I'll take my chance.

Speaker 3 (18:48):
You know, I'm not looking at the bear long enough
to determine the gene.

Speaker 1 (18:55):
I think it was more so I was comfortable enough
in the hot tub that I was like, I don't
want to have to move right. I was like, I
am on vacation, go away, or you can join me.
You can sit here too, I don't care. We're chilling
out in the hot top.

Speaker 3 (19:14):
Yeah, we had, uh see. It was The joke was
because a lot of the investigations, especially like there was
there's one that's out on the coast and you have
to walk through woods, and the joke speaking of bears
was that I don't have to be the fastest, I
just have to be faster than you.

Speaker 2 (19:33):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (19:33):
So very true, which was.

Speaker 3 (19:35):
Me because I was I was probably only like five
six years out of the military, like I'm still I'm
still strong, but I'm as fast as I used to be,
and they were like, no, I was gonna winna live.

Speaker 1 (19:49):
That's so funny.

Speaker 3 (19:50):
I can lift.

Speaker 2 (19:51):
I could probably lift a tree. If you know.

Speaker 4 (19:54):
You weren't lifting them pangles last year.

Speaker 6 (19:57):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (19:59):
I I was not built for speed.

Speaker 2 (20:02):
I was built for strength.

Speaker 4 (20:03):
That's the And I won't say if you were at
the college, you're all I'm going to say is the
stairs are absolutely.

Speaker 1 (20:12):
Yeah. These are way easier to get up. There's like
a landing space and stuff too. It's way easier to
load your stuff in and out.

Speaker 4 (20:20):
Yeah, if you were there last year, I did have
some campus that is true.

Speaker 1 (20:27):
Hey, it was just helping everybody get them steps in.

Speaker 3 (20:30):
I didn't.

Speaker 2 (20:31):
I didn't want them steps.

Speaker 4 (20:32):
Okay, the stuff came out of nowhere.

Speaker 3 (20:35):
But I showed up with this big, huge tot because
I hadn't learned how to like this year. No, no,
I have one small carry and everything fits in it
at my table.

Speaker 4 (20:47):
But might have like extra menzel this year so you
can make them do everything.

Speaker 3 (20:55):
Yeah, I like I am a broken old lady. Can
you you know you're creep, Auntie creep.

Speaker 1 (21:06):
So funny you got to carry your things for you,
Auntie creep.

Speaker 3 (21:10):
I you will old old decrepit miss creep.

Speaker 4 (21:16):
To use them.

Speaker 3 (21:17):
I will use them like.

Speaker 6 (21:20):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (21:22):
Speaking speaking of vendors, though, now are you bengaged? Did
you say that you are going to end up vending
this year or I and You're gonna have to miss out.

Speaker 1 (21:31):
On They'm gonna have to miss out on that because
my my work event got Rescheduleddur and Goalie con So
I will be there on Sunday.

Speaker 4 (21:41):
We will have a QR code that we've already made
that is going to be plastered around with everyone's QR
code on per like for their links and stuff.

Speaker 3 (21:51):
Like everyone I have that too, Yeah, yeah, I have one.
I am so excited. I know that you can't you're
not there Saturday, so we changed it to Sunday because
the creepy Confidential panel that's been made is not.

Speaker 1 (22:05):
Just me being me.

Speaker 3 (22:07):
I also love that I'm going to have this time
with you guys, and we're gonna do the Phantom Focus panel.
Paranormal is not the only thing I do, but it
is my first love and it is by far one
of the things I talked about the most, Hence the
classes and everything, but the Phantom Focus panel, We're going
to be taking some samples from horror movies and discussing

(22:30):
the entities within them, will be classifying them. Are they human,
are they not human? Are they a conscious entity? Or
are they just residual juice. That's what I'm stoked is
that we get to sit down and have a round
table about these indis.

Speaker 1 (22:46):
Very much so, and we've already been messing each messaging
each other about it. I'm really excited.

Speaker 3 (22:51):
Yeah, I love that because I love haggling about that,
like what they are within the movies. Because the ands
a movie, it's kind of it's not like, it's kind
of up for discussion.

Speaker 2 (23:03):
That's the whole point. So it's we get to classify
that because.

Speaker 3 (23:07):
I think and I don't think enough people try and
classify the entity.

Speaker 1 (23:10):
They don't. They just go, I don't know, that was
a ghost in a movie. That's cool? Haunted Yeah as
a ghost movie? Cool?

Speaker 2 (23:17):
Great.

Speaker 3 (23:18):
So that's what that's what I'm stoke for. I'm glad
that you're going to be coming down on Sunday so
we can do that.

Speaker 1 (23:23):
I'm super excited.

Speaker 4 (23:24):
So, yeah, that's gonna be good.

Speaker 1 (23:25):
Everyone has to make sure they come to the Phantom
focus panel. Yeah, it's gonna.

Speaker 3 (23:29):
Be very fun.

Speaker 4 (23:31):
We're gonna have so many different panels, even on Sunday. Yes,
you know, we might have other peop or we might
have this strange talk. Just randomly come on a panel,
because that's what we did last year. Listen, if you're
in the audience, I'm just going to be honest, you
might be asked to come up.

Speaker 1 (23:46):
Audience participation is encouraged.

Speaker 4 (23:50):
Ye go up to like seven different panels.

Speaker 3 (23:55):
Well, and I'll admit I enjoyed that. It was like, okay,
she's she either it was either well let's throw her
in or Okay, I think she knows enough. I want
I want her opinion on this, this or this, which
I thoroughly enjoyed.

Speaker 1 (24:11):
It was like raise your hands if you have a comment. No,
we already want your comment. You don't even have to
raise your hand. Everybody else will raise your hand.

Speaker 4 (24:19):
Yeah, come on.

Speaker 3 (24:22):
And I got to help judge the costume content last year.

Speaker 4 (24:26):
We again this year, and it is a two hundred
dollars cash priz.

Speaker 1 (24:32):
We love them casting some money.

Speaker 2 (24:34):
Yeah, yeah, I too.

Speaker 4 (24:40):
Yes, we didn't really do that a lot last year.
This year, we definitely want to focus more on the
costplay stuff. So even if you're not entered in the contest,
if you don't want to be that firmly.

Speaker 1 (24:48):
Fine, Yeah, you can still show off without having to
be like in the competition.

Speaker 4 (24:52):
So we're still going to have you on the stage
and we're gonna Yeah, just logue it out with your question.

Speaker 1 (24:58):
You don't have to answer sir on this. Do we
possibly have a maybe date for next year? And that's okay?
If the answer is to be determined, there might or.

Speaker 4 (25:07):
Might not be venues that we're being looked at that
is about ten times bigger than where we're.

Speaker 1 (25:12):
Yes, yes, in July. Yes, that's all I was gonna ask.
So that way I can block it off next year
and be like work, we're not doing this again.

Speaker 4 (25:21):
Yeah, we're gonna probably going to be the same either.

Speaker 3 (25:24):
Yea.

Speaker 4 (25:24):
It probably gonna be the same weekend.

Speaker 1 (25:25):
Awesome.

Speaker 4 (25:25):
That's what we've been trying to make it because we
are going to have is this it depends? Is this
gonna happen after Is this going to be announced after Gulican?

Speaker 1 (25:37):
Is this episode this will be before Guli Kan Okay,
so we can hold onto it if we need to,
because we can always do more.

Speaker 4 (25:47):
You know we're gonna give some Are you ready for
some exclusive tea?

Speaker 1 (25:51):
We got some exclusive tea don't even happen yet, and
we're gonna be exclusive tea.

Speaker 4 (25:56):
Oh, it's actually a thing. We are doing our first
expansion next year.

Speaker 2 (26:01):
Yay, awesome, to.

Speaker 4 (26:04):
The s to the Saint Louis, to the St. Louis area,
So gli cons next year.

Speaker 1 (26:12):
That is amazing.

Speaker 4 (26:15):
And and one there because we're officially so we're officially
toxic Coven Media.

Speaker 1 (26:23):
Actually yay, that's so exciting, super cool. And also Saint
Louis is a really fun, weird city, but.

Speaker 4 (26:33):
No one got the experience.

Speaker 2 (26:41):
It was.

Speaker 3 (26:43):
It was. It was different for someone like myself. I've
been to lots of places, but I liked that it was.
First of all, the city is very old, which I love.
I really want to go back to some of the
old cemeteries there. But the places around the town, it's
so eclectic.

Speaker 2 (26:59):
It's so, it really is.

Speaker 4 (27:02):
And we actually so another another thing another because Nick
knows how much that I personally love ghosts and paranormal
stuff and.

Speaker 1 (27:14):
Creep.

Speaker 4 (27:14):
Might be asked and you might be asked to do
something a paranormal investigation. Asword at the limp.

Speaker 2 (27:22):
That that's because I brought it up to them.

Speaker 4 (27:25):
I know it. Hey, hey, I don't know.

Speaker 3 (27:31):
But yeah, because when I found out we were going there,
that may not be true. But just see, I haven't
say that I because you I.

Speaker 2 (27:40):
Again research nerd, totally a research nerd.

Speaker 3 (27:43):
I put told all kinds of books off the shelves
and the creepy confidential library and that was the place
that I read the history on and had ready.

Speaker 2 (27:52):
We just didn't get to go.

Speaker 4 (27:53):
But so where he's going to ask because he knows
the owner of it obviously, So yeah, they can do
if we can do like an investigation with you guys there.

Speaker 1 (28:04):
I would love that.

Speaker 3 (28:06):
That's the spirit portal that Mike's building or built it's built,
that's I sat that thing would be going.

Speaker 1 (28:14):
Yeah, I'm also are you are you bringing that with
you to Kuli Khan?

Speaker 3 (28:20):
I don't think so, because that's his.

Speaker 1 (28:22):
I was curious just because I wanted to see it.
But I totally understand that. Yeah, he may not want
you to bring it.

Speaker 3 (28:27):
With right, but that's the project that you and I
are working on. In September, it will be there.

Speaker 1 (28:32):
Yes, and that's I'm like, I want to talk about that,
but we will have a meeting about that soon. That's
the fun things are happening in the next like year.

Speaker 5 (28:40):
Yeah, we just.

Speaker 3 (28:46):
This is what we do.

Speaker 1 (28:48):
Yeah, we plan love that many other words that start
with the P.

Speaker 3 (28:55):
Right, oh, alliteration don't get me. Most of my titles
and the phantom focus panel.

Speaker 2 (29:06):
We can do a little eminem where it's not spelled
exactly and that I would.

Speaker 3 (29:15):
I love the idea though, of like because that was
my my my group that I formed with with Shelby.
Another member is girls investigating Ghosts in the Supernatural because
I think girls specifically, not to be a sexist comment,
but there's a specific energy that when you have a
group of girls versus.

Speaker 2 (29:35):
A group of guys.

Speaker 3 (29:37):
And I think we did have one gentleman with us,
and that was that Shelby's husband, mister Philip.

Speaker 2 (29:42):
He's fantastic, but he could hang with the energy.

Speaker 3 (29:45):
You got it.

Speaker 1 (29:46):
You have to be able to have that energy.

Speaker 3 (29:49):
Yes, and we are. We were different investigators because again,
having that playful open a group of chicks acts different than.

Speaker 1 (29:59):
A group of g It is you know, it's sleepover
WIEDI board energy. Yes, we're all having fun together. Yeah,
mine is the board for you. But that kind of
energy of like or like, uh, Eliza's Featherston is a board.

Speaker 3 (30:16):
Yeah, oh my gosh, okay, I did that too, but
yeah I was at a party. Yeah, and I remember
doing that middle school.

Speaker 1 (30:23):
Yeah. It was fun.

Speaker 3 (30:24):
It was so fun and that and that's so I
think that's something that it brings. You're you're gonna get
different a different outcome on what you find and what
kind of what interacts if it's an interactive spirit. So
and I think maybe that's what happened when you and
I when Alex and I were doing a spirit talker
session at Gooli Con last year.

Speaker 2 (30:46):
Multi floored spirit talker.

Speaker 3 (30:49):
Session, and we got all kinds of Now you're you
should always have, you know, multiple kinds of evidence that's
coming in. But if you're on the fly and you
have that, and I thought how interactive it was. I
think it was interactive there because of the energy of
ply Kon. We were walking around. What's walking around? And

(31:09):
then you and I being able to do that back
and forth.

Speaker 1 (31:12):
Yeah, and texting each other like, oh, I'm getting this
done here, what are you getting up there? It was
so fun.

Speaker 3 (31:17):
Yes, And you would think that we had known each
other for twenty.

Speaker 1 (31:20):
Years, right, right exactly.

Speaker 2 (31:23):
You know, like that's what's cool.

Speaker 1 (31:25):
It's that sleepover energy.

Speaker 4 (31:27):
Yeah. I feel like that's what a lot of people
did last year, because I don't think a lot of
people met Ken in person. Yeah, and I didn't. I
haven't met anybody yet oh at that point. So and
it was it just it wasn't vibe that like everybody
was just getting along.

Speaker 5 (31:43):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (31:43):
We we had gotten to meet very briefly in person
before Gualikan at frog Manfest, which was only a couple
months before Golikan, So we had made each other like
briefly in person once, which frog Manfest is huge and
keeps getting bigger. Oh my gosh, which is great.

Speaker 2 (31:58):
Yes, I talked about you did you were doing?

Speaker 3 (32:01):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (32:01):
I brought my recording with me and yeah you were
talking about yeah.

Speaker 2 (32:06):
Yeah, Yeah that was cool.

Speaker 3 (32:08):
I know. I walked up and as soon as I
got there, I told my hubby, I'm like, there's this group. Yeah,
a strange talk, but I have to find her table
because yeah.

Speaker 1 (32:18):
I know, it was so fun as you walked up
and you were like strange talk, and I was like, yes, hello.

Speaker 5 (32:22):
It's me.

Speaker 2 (32:24):
I've been told that I have that Golden Retriever energy.

Speaker 1 (32:27):
No, but I loved it. I loved it so much
because I was just like, yes.

Speaker 3 (32:32):
Very exuberant and energetic about things that people that have
similar interests.

Speaker 1 (32:38):
So no, but I'm glad you did because we were
immediately like ghosts, let's talk about ghosts.

Speaker 2 (32:42):
Ghost we were friends?

Speaker 1 (32:44):
Now, Yeah, that is literally like, because I'm such an
introvert and I've been told that I'm aloof and I
don't mean to be because that all goes out the
window if someone goes like says anything that I'm interested
in the same thing, I'm like, what, We're gonna talk
about this forever? Now we're best friends? Now what You're like, fine, okay, cool? Yeah,
I'm like, I'm not gonna say anything until you're like paranormal.

(33:04):
I'm like, what that.

Speaker 4 (33:08):
You like anything spooky? Okay?

Speaker 1 (33:09):
Yeah, okay, We're We're good.

Speaker 2 (33:11):
Yeah, let's be friends.

Speaker 3 (33:14):
And I think that's what's so fun about Guy Khan
was that I am not of the horror movie community.

Speaker 2 (33:21):
Let's say, like, I don't I don't do that.

Speaker 3 (33:23):
What they what they do? What you guys do.

Speaker 2 (33:26):
And I was able to just jump in. I had
a booth there.

Speaker 3 (33:31):
I had my just my merch and some paranormal trinkets
with me, and oh my, it was just it's such
a crazy fun weekend. You talked to so many people
about so many different things, and before you know it,
you are in banter about horror movies or you're in.

Speaker 2 (33:49):
Panter about the paranormal. Yeah, exactly all of the above.

Speaker 3 (33:55):
And that was like how I met Nick and Pearty
of Toxic Icon. It wasn't even paranormal related. I was
sitting at my booth, I was watching a panel and
they were sitting in front of me, and Nick had
a fit for a King T shirt on, which is
a band, and I was like, because I'm such a
music file, yeah, music nerd.

Speaker 2 (34:14):
I just walked up to.

Speaker 3 (34:15):
Him and was afterwards and was like, hey, I like
your shirt, and before you know it, I think we
had like a twenty twenty five minute conversation.

Speaker 4 (34:22):
That's what you saw all around is because they're scare
actors and herself is bubbles Cloud.

Speaker 2 (34:30):
That's only one character.

Speaker 4 (34:32):
The way you photoshopped her on my window, I was hollering,
that was.

Speaker 3 (34:42):
Did she tell you about what I did?

Speaker 1 (34:43):
I No, so hilarious.

Speaker 3 (34:45):
This is just a candid conversation, but it is related
to horror content. So, yeah, the Queen of the Goolies
not like clowns.

Speaker 4 (34:55):
I don't like clown at all.

Speaker 2 (34:56):
That's that's her, that's her line.

Speaker 3 (34:58):
We were talking about lines, and I unfortunately, between being
raised with brothers and being in the military, I have
learned you never ever ever give away what you're afraid
of or what you don't like.

Speaker 1 (35:13):
My brother was also terrified of clowns. That's why I
was looking around because I'm like, there's probably several in
this room. Okay, none of them are visible. We're safe.

Speaker 3 (35:21):
And then it just becomes almost a love language if
you will to show a bit.

Speaker 2 (35:29):
You have that.

Speaker 3 (35:31):
So she's sitting in her new cute, little cute living
room by herself and that lighting and everything, and then
all of a sudden, I kinn't know how it kicked off,
but it became Martie was sharing pictures of his of
a clown mask that he has, Yeah, has able red
nose and it's terrifying. And then she shared a particular

(35:53):
character that is like her nemesis, that's Saranda does not
like it. And I had my face, which I call
her bubbles, and she's a crazy clown and she's not
an ordinary like look. And then I realized that I
could photoshop my like she has a like if she's
sitting looking here, there's a door here with one of

(36:14):
those little windows above the door, and yeah, exactly, and
I photoshopped and shrank my bubble's head and and you're
these clown character red nose into the window so that
they were looking down on her and living room. And

(36:34):
then so then I was like, well, I gotta take
it one I gotta take it one way further. So
then again, if you're looking this way in her, in
her space, you can tell there's like a hall wall
and you go around it almost.

Speaker 2 (36:50):
Like a labyrinth right around it.

Speaker 3 (36:53):
And I looked up the picture of that particular character
photoshopped him him, and so it looks like he was
looking around the corner. This really quickly, I was like, I.

Speaker 1 (37:06):
Was just on it yet.

Speaker 3 (37:11):
I was tormenting her. So I have there's pictures and
you just see bubbles.

Speaker 2 (37:16):
And red nose.

Speaker 4 (37:18):
We need to send because.

Speaker 3 (37:22):
I'll see if I can go back and find them,
because oh my god, I just I couldn't help myself.
I just couldn't help myself.

Speaker 1 (37:29):
Sometimes you just have to use your photoshop powers for evil.
It's just how it goes. I can for that very much.

Speaker 2 (37:37):
Yeah, thirty seconds.

Speaker 3 (37:39):
Yeah it was so quick. But okay, yeah, my and
my hobby. My hobby does not like mister Creek does
not like the characters that I create.

Speaker 2 (37:50):
You doesn't like the creepy scary.

Speaker 3 (37:52):
I just that's just he doesn't like it. I don't
think he doesn't like the imagery or whatever and the bubbles.
I had been in my office and I was just
I found a picture of some other like pretty makeup,
and I morphed it into what I wanted to and
all of a sudden, I popped outside and I have
like bloody mouth like you discovered and coagulated blood and

(38:15):
eyes and oh yeah, it's like grows. It's so strange though,
because I consider her personally, I consider myself pretty light
and bubbly, and yet I am into the super.

Speaker 1 (38:34):
We are united by by a singular thing.

Speaker 4 (38:37):
Yeah, and we also will have a scare acter class
more than likely, Auntie Creep. They're going to ask you
to probably join in, because I know them.

Speaker 3 (38:53):
I know at some point I'm gonna have to be
at my table to we actually.

Speaker 4 (38:58):
Like we've kind of actually been care to just to
like hang out with creep and.

Speaker 1 (39:02):
What if what if? What if we just bring the
panel to your table?

Speaker 3 (39:06):
Yes, well then we could do a live Zenter card session.

Speaker 4 (39:11):
Yeah yeah, I mean technically we could make your.

Speaker 2 (39:19):
You know.

Speaker 3 (39:20):
So that's part of it too. So another not to
get total. I have a full I am packed with
things for goolies to come and do.

Speaker 4 (39:30):
So I'm gonna be everything like I am.

Speaker 3 (39:35):
Yes, I have that I have in my college is
the whole thing is an interactive touch table. On one end,
you can be a part of the stone tape theory experiment.
So for those people that are in the paranormal world,
you might understand the stone tape theory isn't necessarily something
that is considered concrete. But I am testing the theory

(39:56):
of people walking, touching, and having a part of it.
And that is that some objects, crystals and metals hold
on to certain memories so they can be recalled and
create residual hauntings. Basically, so I have some old objects
or I have the Zender cards. Again, movie related, if

(40:16):
you've ever seen Ghostbusters in the very beginning when bankman
is torturing this poor young man and this cute young
woman beholds she holds, he holds up the cards and
they're supposed to test their esp abilities on the other side. Yep,
I'm gonna have those at the table and then I
have the trigger objects from Northern State Hospital again. They

(40:36):
were there last year, and those would be showing live
readouts of potential entities or residual entity in its entities
or you know, it's talking to it. So, like I said,
you're gonna have a whole paranormal table, and the table's
gonna change every year if I come back.

Speaker 2 (40:52):
So this year it's true all paranormal.

Speaker 4 (40:55):
You know, you and Strange Shaw can't not come.

Speaker 1 (41:00):
It's true. It's true. And that's why I was like,
are you doing it next year? Because I want to
just like block that off to just be like work. No, sorry,
you can't need anything from me next year.

Speaker 4 (41:11):
Yeah, we're never going to not We actually were looking
and we were looking at Megacorp Pavilion bored next year.

Speaker 2 (41:20):
That I'm I'm stoked again.

Speaker 3 (41:23):
This is like, this is such a step up for
my interaction personally with Gulican this year.

Speaker 2 (41:28):
That it's become like my it's like my Thanksgiving, you know, you.

Speaker 3 (41:32):
Put it up to it.

Speaker 2 (41:33):
Yeah, all the things.

Speaker 4 (41:36):
That's what we wanted. We want us to feel like.
I know all of us were into the spooky before,
but it's like the nineties when it was Halloween Day
at school and out candy and we were all just
like so happy to be with our people.

Speaker 2 (41:49):
Oh my gosh.

Speaker 4 (41:51):
That is the vibe.

Speaker 1 (41:53):
That's exactly what it is that I want.

Speaker 4 (41:55):
People when they come in to be like I'm home.
I can't talk to anybody here.

Speaker 1 (42:00):
It's just not that like spark of energy in the
air of just like it's gonna be fun tonight.

Speaker 3 (42:05):
I enjoyed last year. Also, I think and I think
I heard you say, there's gonna be another kind of
gothic clothes fashion show.

Speaker 4 (42:13):
Is that how that that is going to be at
the Hexton Awards. God Hippy Fashion Boutique. We are going
to do another fashion show. And then we kind of
stepped it up a little bit because I also think
that the fashion of this community does not get talked
about enough.

Speaker 5 (42:27):
I'm not.

Speaker 4 (42:29):
Low the fashion of it. But on Sunday we are
going to have an alternative drag show nice. So you
get to you get to see that and it's professional drag.
Ye bring your doll hairs, and there might be some blood,

(42:50):
there might be some chains. I don't know.

Speaker 6 (42:51):
I know they.

Speaker 4 (42:52):
Choreograph everything themselves and they just come in and show yep, awesome.

Speaker 3 (42:57):
I love that also have that that performance energy where
you can just pop into a character and that's what whoever,
whatever's around, they're going to get whatever they're going to
give that night.

Speaker 4 (43:09):
And now we also are our scaremony. We are we
also are going to have a live performance by mister
g himself.

Speaker 1 (43:18):
So I just love that you are giving everybody an
outlet too of like having all of these costumes that
they maybe don't always have somewhere else to wear where
it's like here you go, here's where you wear it too.

Speaker 4 (43:27):
Here's why we are. We're encouraging like we do. We
want you to feel like if you're not comfortable anywhere else,
just be comfortable here exactly because I'm going to go
around and just say yes girl, yes everybody.

Speaker 1 (43:38):
And that's also why I want to block it off
next year, because I want to like actually be able
to like dress up and stuff next year because it's
hard to dress up like when you're vending, you know, Like.

Speaker 4 (43:45):
I mean you were Daphne.

Speaker 1 (43:46):
Oh yeah, I did. Oh yeah, scare Fust. I was like, wa, di,
I dress up a Gulikan. I did do Daphne Scarefest.

Speaker 4 (43:52):
I recognized you because I was like, my friend, you.

Speaker 1 (43:55):
Are one of the only people who recognize me because
everyone's just like red hair.

Speaker 2 (43:59):
What.

Speaker 3 (44:00):
I love that it was a wig.

Speaker 1 (44:03):
Obviously my hair is not that long.

Speaker 3 (44:09):
You know, but I enjoyed that part. Like you said,
it's an it's an avenue for for someone, I mean
someone like myself.

Speaker 1 (44:18):
Yeah I am.

Speaker 2 (44:19):
I am a budget money nerd by day.

Speaker 3 (44:23):
I go to a quiet job, you know, and I
don't it's quiet, although people do know I am weird
by what's in my little area. But now they're interested
in it. Now they want to know about my podcast
and I get to have something on the board and
you know, I get to and they love my Halloween characters.

(44:45):
They're like, you better be doing this Halloween I won
last year. Yeah, and I was the first time Finance
had ever won anything.

Speaker 2 (44:52):
Yes, and that is in the Halloween department.

Speaker 1 (44:55):
I was like, Okay, everyone at my job doesn't dress
up for Halloween. They always say they're gun and they
never do so. Oh no, they know I'm weird, and
they're supportive of that. But they are sometimes like, can
you please stop talking about Bigfoot? And I'm like no, no,
there's like some Yeah, that's why we want people to

(45:17):
not stop talking from the time they come in to
the time they leave about anything that they need to,
anything that they play. If you need info down about
Bigfoot for three hours, have at it.

Speaker 4 (45:30):
Go ahead.

Speaker 2 (45:32):
But and I enjoyed that too.

Speaker 3 (45:35):
Is that just gholi kan goers gholies if you will.
I mean they come up to my to my area
and we just start talking about the paranoid Oh yeah,
oh yeah, conversation asking questions, well, what's this do, how
does this go? What's the craziest place you've been? Complete strangers.

Speaker 1 (45:52):
Yeah, it's great.

Speaker 4 (45:54):
I feel I've been to some conventions now and not
to you know, not to bash how those or I
just feel like that intimate connection is like not, it's
hard to do that when you're at the level of
some of these tons.

Speaker 1 (46:06):
Yeah yeah, yeah, no, that's true.

Speaker 3 (46:09):
Or the or the cons are so are so busy
and they don't they don't give like maybe like some
of the like the authors, like James Willis, he's an
author and he's at Frogman Festival. He usually does the
keynote speaker there. Yeah, he's like his table is so
busy you can't even write, you know.

Speaker 1 (46:27):
Yeah, he's a super cool guy.

Speaker 2 (46:30):
I go to his talks.

Speaker 3 (46:30):
He's come to local around where I live, like library,
he does library lectures too. Yeah, and I was like
I miss that that part where just getting going on
at yeah interact, you just get to walk around and
you buy a sticker and then you leave, like, oh,
I want people to come.

Speaker 1 (46:49):
That's that's why I give frog Manfest. I'm so glad
it's growing. But I'm also like it is like at
such the perfect size right now where you can still
talk to people, because I love Scarefest, but it is
so hard to talk to anybody there because it's just
long lines everywhere.

Speaker 4 (47:04):
And you have like your celebrities that they wouldn't be
and everything like that. And that's why like for us,
we really try to do the emphasis on the panels
yes that house, yes, because we can just do like
a movie panel or you know, nothing bashing if they
are doing that. But I think that that's such a
big thing that we want to curate each year. Is okay,

(47:26):
how can we make sure that the people that are coming,
and then the vendors and all the special guests, like,
how can they be highlighted not necessarily just on the floor,
but on the panels.

Speaker 1 (47:36):
Yes of not only this gives you a reason to
go stop by the booth because you saw them in
this panel. So now if you've got questions, go over
there and talk to them. And that was actually after
the panel I did at Frog Manifest, I actually got
approached by someone, and this was the coolest thing. I
was excited about this. Someone walked up and was like,
I am reading a speculative fiction novel right now, and

(47:59):
I'm not going to say too much because I don't
want to give away with writing out, but it's basically
about a group of friends who have a paranormal radio show,
and so they were like, can I ask you some
questions about that, because like, I just want to make
sure I get this right. I went, Wow, I'm so
glad that you're here because obviously this is exactly and
also I want to read your book now, so regardless,

(48:19):
I would like to read your book, like.

Speaker 4 (48:22):
It right because I am also having a paranormal show,
so yes.

Speaker 1 (48:25):
Yeah, And if I hadn't done that panel, I don't
know if that person would have ended up finding her
booth or not. Who knows. Like that's that's the four
thing about Panels is like, hey, I got some really
good information about this. I'm going to go find you
afterwards and ask you some more questions about that because
we ran out of time. Because yes, same it we are.

Speaker 4 (48:45):
We are going to have an author one going on
about how they do villains. We just have it. It's
getting like done now here one thing about conses. Things
get things will get switched the day up if we
need to.

Speaker 1 (49:00):
Yeah, that's just you gotta be able to roll with
the punches. You gotta go with the flow with it.
But we're it. By the time people are hearing this,
maybe it'll be announced. We'll see yeah, yeah, because I'm
gonna have this be next week's episode so we can
promote it.

Speaker 3 (49:16):
Right, And I think if you if that little bit's
released and then another little bits released, it just.

Speaker 2 (49:21):
It just keeps you in that anticipatory.

Speaker 3 (49:24):
State if you where you're like you're already excited and
then someone they announced another little cracker crumb and now
it's it's even more exciting, so you are leading up
to it the whole time that I love that.

Speaker 4 (49:40):
Yeah, that's that's what we're true. That's what we've been
trying to do. And then we also are trying to
do you guys like Halloween more.

Speaker 7 (49:47):
Nights like yeah, yeah, I've seen it, but yeah, that's
what we're really into that too, because obviously in A
and you already are the characters.

Speaker 3 (50:01):
And I've been going to hot houses since I.

Speaker 1 (50:02):
Could walk, say I love them.

Speaker 4 (50:07):
So we have that ahh in panel and we have
like house announcements and everything. So we're going to be
talking about that too, if anybody likes and that, because
that is still like to me, that's still part of
the Hordes.

Speaker 1 (50:19):
And part of it. Yeah, oh yeah, it's just live.

Speaker 3 (50:23):
Yeah is that like watching a movie? No, No, you're
gonna live it for the next thirty minutes.

Speaker 1 (50:28):
Yes, I love that you want to.

Speaker 4 (50:30):
There might be something wrong with me, but it's okay.

Speaker 1 (50:33):
It's it's good to make sure that your fear system
is working properly. Every so often.

Speaker 4 (50:41):
It's just controlled chaos a little bit, and sometimes when
your life is already chaotic. You just want to be
controlled in it, just for like twelve hours.

Speaker 1 (50:49):
Yeah, right, Well, and and what I mentioned in the
like how to have a Crypto Encounter panel two was like,
if you want to know how you're going to react
in a stressful situation, you kind of have to put
yourself through test stressful situations to figure out how you
react to see if you need to change how you react.

Speaker 2 (51:06):
It's like the military, huh, exactly what it is.

Speaker 4 (51:09):
Yep.

Speaker 3 (51:09):
You have to keep putting you in that stressful situation
until you're finally at a state where you can handle.

Speaker 1 (51:15):
It and you can make the right call, even if
you are scared out of your mind exactly exactly.

Speaker 3 (51:24):
And from like when I go through haunted houses, it's
what I because from someone who's been a haunt actor,
it kind of takes some things out of it for you,
I think. But the jump scares are are are what
gets me every time. Oh yeah, but I'm also like,
oh they missed an opportunity there. I could have had
a jump scar.

Speaker 2 (51:45):
So it's it's.

Speaker 1 (51:46):
Hard critiquing while you're also like.

Speaker 3 (51:50):
Missed opportunity should have been a dead body.

Speaker 2 (51:56):
Yeah, And so that's hard to that's hard.

Speaker 1 (51:58):
We all need to go through Haunted House together at
some point.

Speaker 4 (52:02):
Well, I agree, come to the darkness this year down
in the down in Saint Louis. Come to we it's
all three of us, the Paramornal Power Girls, Power proff Girls,
have to go down there.

Speaker 3 (52:14):
Yes, that one has like that one's super satanic looking,
though in my opinion.

Speaker 4 (52:21):
It's there's some rooms because I did ask them about that.
Because so I don't like clowns at all.

Speaker 1 (52:26):
You have to double check that there's no clowns.

Speaker 4 (52:28):
I also don't like the the not I'm not gonna
say I don't like it, but that the terror, the possession,
and in the church specifically, I.

Speaker 3 (52:38):
Don't like the religious thing. And I think it's I
don't I don't know. People are you know, like, oh
it's you know, if you say you're a Christian or whatever.
I don't think that's really what it's about. I just don't.

Speaker 2 (52:49):
I don't believe.

Speaker 4 (52:50):
I believe in it a lot. I believe that that
can happen. So it's definitely like a reality that I
don't want to have to happen.

Speaker 1 (52:59):
You don't want to try to like, yeah, manifest.

Speaker 4 (53:02):
That exactly yeah, he said, there's just a couple of rooms.
He did say that there is. There's a church scene
at the bottom. I said, O creepiness, though, we might
just have to run through one.

Speaker 1 (53:16):
But you can just chield your eyes and I will
lead you through while going oh no, oh no, I'll.

Speaker 3 (53:22):
Just bring little little baby Jesus in hand it out
Kirk Franklin together. There's tons of them, and that I
being also around this crowd has rekindled my love for
the hot community and hot houses because I love them
behind the scenes. It's like my favorite parts of lot.

Speaker 1 (53:44):
It's so fun.

Speaker 2 (53:46):
Yeah, I'm like, how did they get there? What's this character?

Speaker 3 (53:49):
I spoke with Nick and Yurdy about how they built
theirs and loved the outlook of it and what the
whole thing.

Speaker 4 (53:57):
There might be characters when he performs. I don't know
if Father Jerome was coming, I don't know. I'm not
sure what's going on.

Speaker 3 (54:06):
I just maybe maybe he'll see Madam Creep and be inspired.

Speaker 4 (54:10):
Maybe he'll ask you to come on stage. I don't know.
You don't know.

Speaker 3 (54:12):
With him, I have no idea what see.

Speaker 2 (54:14):
Madam Creep is very demuor so no, ma'am, I will quiet.

Speaker 3 (54:23):
Yeah, I don't know. I we'll see what the eyeball say.

Speaker 4 (54:28):
I don't so just know if you come here, this
is just not this is just going to be a
crazy experience. I don't know what's going to happen from
beginning to end.

Speaker 1 (54:35):
Just just this hour of us talking is already like
just a small portion of a distilled bit of what
the weekend will be like. It will be this conversation happening.
But like all around you in different.

Speaker 4 (54:48):
You will hear the weirdest things in a.

Speaker 1 (54:51):
Good way and the best way, good, good way.

Speaker 4 (54:54):
We'll just hear people talk the most random stuff.

Speaker 2 (54:58):
Yes, but that's what's fun.

Speaker 3 (54:59):
I love. I just loved listening to people digesting, like
getting into.

Speaker 2 (55:04):
A what is that like a not really like an argument,
but that back in.

Speaker 1 (55:08):
Like like a banter debate.

Speaker 2 (55:10):
Yeah, yeah, that's what I was looking for. Thank you,
that banter, that debate.

Speaker 3 (55:14):
Breaking down a horror movie almost like how you would
break down a book.

Speaker 2 (55:18):
In English letter.

Speaker 3 (55:19):
I think in this one the director was actually trying
to shay I was shocked, Yes, yeah, and I was.
And I'm like, I'm not an English nerd, you know,
I'm a science person, and I was like they were
all the hidden messages and what they were trying to say,
And it wasn't even necessarily about the construction of the movie.

Speaker 2 (55:41):
It was all the inner weird.

Speaker 3 (55:42):
Workings of it, just groups of people having conversations about this.
I loved it. I've never seen that before. It's super.

Speaker 4 (55:52):
Last year, it was something special. I'm not gonna lie
I was. I'm just really glad that a lot of
people are coming this year, and we have people returning.

Speaker 1 (55:59):

Speaker 1 (57:21):
Actually, when this airs, it will literally be a week
before Gualie Contay. Okay, no we're not there yet. You
still got more time than that.

Speaker 2 (57:39):
But yeah, you're good.

Speaker 1 (57:40):
Everything's gonna get smooth. It's gonna be so much fun
and we will see everybody there. So we'll go ahead
