(00:00):
Hello. My name is Corey Russell, and I want to share my story
about how God took me and myfamily through a dark knight of tragedy and
brought forth a glorious story. I'vebeen married to my wife for twenty five
years and we have three daughters. And in twenty twelve, after having three

(00:21):
beautiful daughters, the Lord was speakingto me and my wife about having a
son. And on June twenty sixth, twenty twelve, he was born.
We named him Josiah Nash Russell, and we called him Nash after a specific
a man in history that many ofyou may not even know about. His
name was Daniel Nash. This man, Daniel Nash, was a pastor and

(00:45):
an intercessor and a prayer warrior withthe great evangelist Charles Finnie during the Second
Great Awakening here in Upstate New York, here in our nation. And this
man many people know the name,Charles Finnie. I mean, the revival
and the spirit of conviction that hitUpstate New York in the early eighteen hundreds
is unprecedented, its historic. Theywould say conservatively that upwards of five hundred

(01:10):
thousand new converts would come into theKingdom in a matter of eight weeks.
In a matter of eight weeks ofrevival, they would see hundreds of thousands
of souls swept into the kingdom. Many people know what happened or know about
Charles Finny, but many don't knowthe name Daniel Nash. Daniel Nash,
along with another man by the nameof Abel Clary, they would forerun Charles

(01:33):
Finney's revival campaigns. They would comeinto a city two to three weeks ahead
of time. They would rent abasement for around twenty five cents a week,
and their assignment was to go tobattle with spiritual forces of darkness over
those regions. They understood a gloriousprinciple that and the glorious principle was this,
that intercession wins the battle in theheavenlyes, so that the Word of

(01:57):
God would go forth in power.Well, this is so powerful. Charles
Finny would always say, I didn'tneed this man's preaching. I didn't need
his teaching. I didn't need anythingfrom him. I needed his intercession.
And Daniel Nash would always walk inon the first night of a revival campaign
and would look at Charles Finny andthis is all he would say. The
Lord has come, and Charles Finnysays, I never knew a tying here.

(02:20):
He was wrong, and they sawunprecedented power hit the region in those
days. Several months after Daniel Nashdied, Charles Finney's itinerant revivals stopped in
their intensity. Well, me andmy wife got so impacted by this historic
intercessor. We said, Lord,we want to name our son Nash.
And so we did, and itwas glorious. It was a season of

(02:42):
fulfillment, a season of joy,a season of peace. As God had
given me three beautiful daughters and ason with prophetic destiny, and I was
just so fulfilled in the things ofGod. Fast forward nine and a half
months. My son's nine and ahalf month old, and I go to
London, England to minister for aweekend. And on the second night,

(03:06):
while there, I'm ministering, andmy wife, while I was gone,
went ahead and took the kids. She went down to Arkansas to see family.
She took him down there. Itwas starting to get warmer down there,
so she took him down there. And it was the second night,
and I remember I was about tostep into the Saturday night meeting and I
called my wife and we had asweet time of talking and of dreaming about

(03:30):
the future and everything, and shesays, I'm about to go wake up
our son. He was napping atthe time, and so I go,
I love you, honey, I'mgoing into the meeting. And so I
go into the meeting and I preacha powerful message about what God's doing in
the earth. And then comes theministry time and I'm stepping off the ministry
time of praying for people, anda man has a phone in his hand

(03:52):
and he hands me the phone.I'm literally thinking, I'm going to pray
for someone's family member over the phone. Well, I get on the phone
and it's my wife's screaming hysterically.Corey. He's dead. Corey, He's
dead. Cory, He's dead. And what I would find out is that
my son, when my wife wentto pick up my son from his nap,
he didn't wake up. At nineand a half months old, a

(04:15):
strange virus had come through the familyand in the middle of his nap had
just shut his heart down and hedidn't wake up. And I got the
nightmare of calls that my son died. And I'm halfway around the world and
I feel so alone, But yetthis phrase came to me in the middle
of it. I don't understand wherethis came from, but it came out.
And I looked at the father andI go, Father, you know
what it feels like to lose hisson. I need you right now.

(04:40):
And I was thinking about the Crossand that moment of death where Jesus dies
in the father's pain and anguish overthe loss of his son. The next
morning, I would catch the firstflight out and I would I would come
to Arkansas and we would begin thejourney that has lasted over the last you
know, ten to eleven years. And I'm gonna be honest with you,

(05:00):
friend in the story, It's beenthe absolute hardest season of my life.
The earthquake hit our family. Ihad teenage daughters, daughters entering into their
teenage years. I had such anearthquake hit our family, and I felt
very ill equipped in many ways. And the more of the most painful things
is my wife just froze. Overthe years. My wife just went into

(05:25):
a dark season of depression, despair, wonder if she was gonna make it
at all. And yet all Iknew to do was keep going. Had
a season where I was at home, but I was preaching and I was
clinging to God to make sense ofthis and doing my best just to survive.
There's some season's Friends where it's notabout taking ground, but it's about
not quitting. Where it's not aboutyou know, conquering every mountain, but

(05:48):
about standing. It's that Ephesian sixseason, in those the day of evil,
in those evil days, stand whichmeans don't quit. And it was
in that season that I was cryingout to God to begin to give me.
I felt like literally me and myfamily had been dropped in the middle
of the Pacific Ocean and we hadto find land, and we had nothing.

(06:12):
And it was in the middle ofthat season that God began to release
some life rafts to me. Igot my wife in deep depression, my
children that are traumatized. I don'tknow what to do. And it was
in that season that I clung toGod and he began to give me psalms
that would begin to be what I'dcall life rafts and would give language to

(06:33):
my grieving heart to make sense ofit all. Well. I got to
twenty fourteen, so my son passedon March sixteenth, twenty thirteen, and
honestly, twenty thirteen was absolute horrible. It was just a nightmare of grieving
and of pain. I don't knowif you've ever been through anything similar,
but we walked through it. ThisJanuary first, twenty fourteen, and I

(06:56):
was in Mexico City with a friendof mine and I heard the speak to
me in the middle of still allthis agreement. He said, Corey,
I want to give you the revelationof intercession. And he took me to
Psalm two. And I just wantto say to you, no passage in
the Bible has helped heal, navigateand give me clarity on how to process

(07:17):
grief and tragedy like Psalm To.Because Psalm II is the devil's rage over
Jesus's inheritance. Let me say thatagain. Psalm Too is the devil's rage
over Jesus's inheritance. And it wasin Psalm To where the Lord taught me
how to fight the battle and fightthe faith. And Psalm To what you

(07:40):
see is chaos, confusion, andrage as the devil is seeking to overthrow
Mount Zion and to overthrow the eternaldecree that the Father had given to the
son. And I found myself ina season where I wondered whether my wife
was going to live, whether mychildren would make it, or would they
be turned aside drugs and the spiritof this age, and would we make

(08:03):
it? There I saw rage andchaos and confusion and the war of the
evil one around this, and Ididn't know how to respond to it.
Have you ever felt your most prizedinheritance and possession under the most assault?
Mine was my family. And theLord was saying, Corey, I need
you to feel it, But wedon't engage in the battle from a horizontal

(08:26):
playing field, because in Psalm twoit says this he who sits in the
heavens lasts, he sits in theHeaven's left. And the Lord was telling
me, Corey, I got toteach you how to ascend. I got
to teach you how to come upto the third heaven and to the throne
room and be able to get rightperspective concerning this because I need confidence,

(08:48):
my confidence to touch you. Ineed you to come out of the fear,
the anxiety, the confusion and allthe emotions, and I need you
to get heavenly confidence from perspective. And I'll never forget it. It was
Psalm two, verse seven and nine. What do you see Jesus doing when
the devil is raging? We seehim in the place of prayer speaking back

(09:11):
to the Father. What the Fatherhas spoken over him? And he told
him this, And Psalm two verseseven he says, I will declare the
decree the Lord has said to me. You are my son. And then
he says, you see those nationsraging, ask me for them, and
I'll make them your inheritance. Andit was in twenty fifteen where the Lord
said, Corey, your greatest placesof warfare are to become your greatest places

(09:35):
of inheritance. And I begin toask God, were my inheritance, my
family, my marriage. I didn'twant a divorce. I didn't want my
children to get lost. I didn'twant my wife to die. I didn't
want to die. I wanted myfamily. That was the cry of my
heart. Some of you might bein that kind of season right now.

(09:56):
It was in that season of cryingout for inheritance where a friend of mine
sent me a dream. And thisdream has marked my life. He said.
In the dream, the church wasunder siege. We were in medieval
times, and everyone went to thecity square, as we realized we don't
know how to pray in these days. The cultural wars were increasing, and

(10:18):
in the dream, I walk intothe dream smiling, and I go,
these are the days we've been waitingon. And then in the dream,
my friend began to prophesy over me, and I'm prophesying it over you.
He said, Corey, for everyone voice of awakening, I'm going to
raise up seven voices of intercession. He said it again, For every one
voice of awakening, I'm going toraise up seven voices of intercession. He

(10:41):
says. I've given lou Ingele theNazarites, but I'm giving you the Nasherites.
And the Naserites will be a hiddenarmy of intercessors that may not be
known in the eyes of men,but they're going to be famous in heaven.
And I'm going to send revival totheir homes, revival to their churches,
and revival to their nations. Andwhen I received that dream, I

(11:01):
said, Lord, give me onehundred million Nasherites. That began the cry
of my life. But honestly, friend, from twenty fifteen to twenty twenty
one, my wife was still disengagedfrom ever being able to dream about such
a thing. She was frozen, she was stuck, she was lost.

(11:22):
But yet in February of twenty twentyone, at a weekend women's retreat in
Dallas, something began to happen withmy wife. God began to touch her
a little bit over the weekend, and then on the second night of it,
she was laying in bed that nightshe heard Jesus ask her, do
you love me? That's a phraseout of John twenty one, where Jesus

(11:43):
was restoring Peter and recommissioning Peter. And she goes, Lord, you know
I love you, and he says, I'm recommissioning you and setting you on
fire. Well, the next morningwe were in a meeting and low Ingle
was there and he began to leadus in a time of prayer, and
as soon as he did, mywife fell to the floor as a spirit
of prayer begin to fall upon her. And for the next four hours she

(12:07):
would be in this travailing intercession asGod begin to rest upon her. For
about the next four hours, shebegan to understand that God is raising up
a Nasherite army, and that weare going to see revival in these days,
and that it has to do aboutthe salvation of Israel. That God
is setting watchmen on the walls. The Nasherite is a personal story connected to

(12:31):
a biblical end time reality Isaiah sixtytwo. I will set watchmen on your
walls of Jerusalem. They shall neverhold their peace day or night. You
who make mention of the Lord,do not keep silent nor be quiet until
He makes Jerusalem a praise in theearth. My wife comes out of this
encounter and she goes Cory. Isee the army, Let's run. And

(12:56):
it was from that moment that Godhas begun to raise up an army of
intercessors in the online space. Andwherever I'm traveling, I'm seeing God taking
the darkest places of tragedy and turningit into the glorious places of inheritance.
And whether you're in your journey oryou've broke through your journey, I want

(13:18):
you to know, in the supernaturalpower of God that He will take ashes
and turn it into beauty. Amen.
