Aloha surfers and ocean enthusiasts! Get ready for an epic wave-riding week across the Hawaiian Islands. The south swell is about to light up our shores with some serious juice. We're looking at a stellar forecast that'll have longboarders and shortboarders alike stoked!

Starting tonight, long-period forerunners from a powerful south swell are rolling in. By Thursday, things are going to get really interesting - expect south-facing shores to see surf climbing from 6-8 feet in the morning to a pumping 8-12 feet by afternoon. Kauai, Oahu, and Maui are going to be absolute fire zones for wave hunters!

The eastern exposure is still feeling the remnants of Tropical Cyclone Gil, keeping things spicy with 6-8 foot waves tonight, dropping to a more mellow 4-6 feet tomorrow. Those trade winds are going to stabilize, bringing us back to more typical conditions.

North-facing shores are staying relatively calm with small 1-3 foot surf. A tiny northwest swell from a former West Pacific typhoon is keeping things from going completely flat - so even the north shores will have some playful options.

For the Big Island, expect some nice variety - windward and southeast areas will see consistent 4-6 foot east-facing waves, while the leeward side offers 5-7 foot south swells that'll bump up to 7-10 feet by Thursday afternoon.

Weather-wise, we're looking at mostly sunny days with scattered showers - classic Hawaiian conditions. Temperatures will hover in the mid to upper 80s, and those east winds will be cruising around 10-15 mph.

Pro tip: Check local beach conditions and always surf within your skill level. Rip currents can be sneaky, so stay alert and have fun out there! Surf's up, Hawaii!
