Surf's up, beach lovers! Get ready for a scorching summer weekend along the Jersey Shore and Delaware beaches. Mother Nature's brewing up some serious wave action that'll have surfers and swimmers taking notice.

Today's looking like a high-octane beach day with rip current risks running hot across all coastal zones. We're talking 3 to 5 foot swells from Sandy Hook down to Cape May, with Delaware beaches seeing even more dramatic 4 to 6 foot waves. Winds are howling from the northeast at 10 to 20 mph, so hold onto your beach umbrellas!

Water temperatures are sitting pretty in the mid to upper 60s and low 70s - cool enough to be refreshing but warm enough to enjoy. The UV index is cranked up to very high, so sunscreen is your best friend today. Expect mostly sunny skies with temperatures climbing into the upper 70s and around 80 degrees.

Rip current risk is HIGH today, which means serious caution is needed. These underwater currents can pull even experienced swimmers out to sea faster than you can say shark week. Stick close to lifeguard stations and pay attention to warning flags.

Sunday brings slightly calmer conditions with rip current risk dropping to moderate. Surf heights will settle down to 2 to 3 feet, and winds will start to shift around, becoming more southeast in the afternoon. Temperatures will hover right around 80 degrees with continued sunny skies.

Tide schedules vary by location, but generally you're looking at morning lows around 8 to 9 AM and afternoon highs between 2 and 4 PM. Sunrise is early - around 5:54 to 6:03 AM, with sunset happening between 8:08 and 8:11 PM.

Bottom line: Respect the ocean, watch those rip currents, and have an epic beach weekend!
