Speaker 1 (00:00):
Mm hmmm, h h m hm, h m h m hm.
Speaker 2 (00:26):
We are live. Welcome to the very first podcast World
Wires podcast of the Tacky Toaster Tray Club. I keep forgetting.
Speaker 3 (00:36):
You just literally though you just yes.
Speaker 2 (00:40):
COVID is a wide stream but with a twist, it
is our podcast. It is our pilot episode to see
if we will make any more of these, so we'll
hope you enjoy them.
Speaker 4 (00:51):
We've kind of flowered the idea of this for a.
Speaker 3 (00:55):
Long yea, it's a couple of years at least, like
it's been. Yeah, you know, it's just never getting around
to doing it of course.
Speaker 2 (01:05):
Or was it a sign behind me I drew just
for the occasion years ago, and now I can use it.
Speaker 4 (01:10):
Look at that that neon sign is an asset that
is very old, and have you used it for anything?
Speaker 2 (01:17):
Or I just had it pro creased menacingly. I showed
it to you a couple of times and you go, oh,
we could put on or something.
Speaker 4 (01:26):
It's like, oh, yeah, this is exactly why I envisioned.
Maybe not quite this sort of set, but this is
the set we have. Nonetheless close enough, I think I
imagine more of a like not rustic, but like you know,
a homely bar setting. But anyway, we have the rather
futuristic TV studio instead.
Speaker 3 (01:48):
Yeah exactly, it will do quite nicely. So but anyway,
I guess we should sort of kick the show off.
Then what I would say we should do is, like
I think I discussed you before, is go through each
and every one of us. So just so if someone
is joining this without you know, knowing beforehand who we are,
(02:09):
then this's a began introduction.
Speaker 4 (02:11):
So that is logical idea exactly exactly.
Speaker 3 (02:14):
So I will start with you, Rascal, if you damn.
Speaker 4 (02:17):
Oh oh yeah, I'm Rescue, so alien racing YouTuber challenging
Earth's fastest racers who are away faster than me because
I am kind of washed. I mainly stream racing content
and make racing content on my YouTube channel, and I
play games with these three, these two back five years
(02:42):
with these two idiots.
Speaker 2 (02:47):
Okay about me, well, obviously my name is Ada Row.
I mean half el e half elven. T prints are
like tea very lot of tea ice stream, variety of things.
I haven't got a niche like Rescuer does. And yeah,
every chance I get ice stream with these two people.
(03:10):
So two lovely people mmmm the Bayball. I've known you
guys for years, but I haven't seen before.
Speaker 3 (03:20):
And with that, I am Guy Shaw, the wrestler who
is basically done wrestling because wrestling did suck. Actually, by
the time I decided that I was going to come
with you, you but now it's really good, So now
I'm going have to just you know, this would be
the last podcast see later everyone, But yeah, no, I'm
just sort of here, join these streams, you know, and
(03:43):
do a few I used to do a few tiktoks
and stuff on the side, but not so much anymore.
Speaker 4 (03:49):
Anyway, waiting for the return of the guys shor TikTok.
Speaker 3 (03:52):
It will happen at some point. I have the videos.
I've got some, but the problem is, like I need
to have loads in a row just for my come back,
and I can't pove to deal anyway. So yeah, so
I think maybe just run through, like obviously with this podcast,
like what we're sort of going to do, what the
sort of plan is, and what the template we're going
(04:15):
to maybe use. We always change because of course it
is the first one, so anything goes at the moment, really,
but what we're going to do is go for like
a main sort of feature, so a main section where
we have a group discussion about maybe something that's happened recently,
like news wise, mainly in gaming, anime, like etctera, you know,
in in media or so everything else. And then after
(04:38):
that we're going to go to each other and have
a bit of like our own individual piece where we
all discuss what we're up to, what we've you know,
done throughout the week, what we're excited for, you know,
all that sort of stuff. And at the end, if
you're a part of our sort of discordeous see that
we ask the community for some questions, you know, just
to sort of go through maybe couple of those today,
(05:01):
you know, sort of answer some of them, even if
they're ridiculous. We don't care. We'll have any question you want,
so podcast, if you want to ask any questions, join
our discord and hit us with a load of questions.
We don't care. You can give us one hundred two
hundred do cares you know, I answer them whatever, But anyway,
I will pass you over to Rescue now because he
(05:21):
has got the main feature, which unfortunately I haven't enough
time to research, but Rescue has, so if I passed
you over him and he can give you a good
discussion on what we're going to discuss today.
Speaker 4 (05:32):
Yes, So, as you probably aware, there was a Nintendo
switch to Direct today. They announced the switch to several
months ago, but the long awaited actual info dump was
today and there's lots of information new games, lots of
(05:52):
sort of updates to games as well, and I feel
like there'll be a bit of controversy there along with
the overall price of levy thing I'm going to talk
about as well. So, yeah, the first thing is that
we have a release date, which is the fifth of June.
Is that good? Sooner than you expected? I think so? Yeah,
(06:15):
I probably. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (06:18):
It's because like there was not any sort of like
there hasn't been that like teaser. It's been like a
bit of teasers like throughout the year, like the start
of the year, but like there hasn't been like a
very long run of like, oh, you know, it's coming out,
and we you know, because everyone assumed to switch to
is obviously coming out at some point, but it's like
I feel like February or whenever, the one that came
(06:39):
out that showed America and the switch to whenever it
did that happened, and then it's like, oh, yeah, by
the way, it's like in two or three months time,
it's been like okay, that's yeah, that's such a turnaround.
I mean, I'm I'm happy for it in a way,
but you know, it is sort of and like you said,
it seems weird not to have it around Christmas, like
(07:00):
November etime, because like middle of the year people really
I mean people will buy it obviously, but Christmas is
always the best time to release something, surely, like seems.
Speaker 4 (07:13):
The thing that I always heard. I think it was
with regards to Apple products at the time, because like
iPhones used to come out in the spring, and then
after you know, many years of iPhones, they moved it
to the where it is now, which is a few
months before Christmas. And I think the idea was that
when it was when they was new and exciting, they
didn't need the Christmas boosts, so like they'll sell loads
(07:34):
anyway and then get a Christmas boost later in the year.
But as iPhones became less interesting and people didn't need
upgrade iPhones as much because they already had them, they
moved it to Christmas because they kind of wanted the
bump initially from Christmas rather than anything else and the
holiday season. So I guess Nintendo is banking on Oh no,
(07:54):
this is big enough that we have a huge number
of sales in the summer and uh and then maybe
at a further bump in the holiday season. I think
that's probably what they're going for there.
Speaker 3 (08:08):
Yeah, I imagine. So it just seems like it does
seem a bit of a strange time to jump it.
But like I said, I just don't think it's unless
it comes out and it's really bad, which I doubt
it's going to be that bad. But I mean, you know,
it's sort of like it seems it comes out of
people are gonna buy it. It's like the PlayStation five.
Like when that came out, everyone went creates for it,
(08:30):
and of course no one could then get it, which
is one of the things I'm worried about. Why, Well,
it's just like the units and everything. It was just
like are they gonna do a little switch to because
and it's like, God, are We're gonna then be like
waiting like a year to get it? And so I
don't know if I can wait that one.
Speaker 2 (08:51):
Two hours like we did for the PS five.
Speaker 4 (08:54):
Yeah, the PS five q's on again. I mean, it's
such a first one problem, I know, but that was
so annoying.
Speaker 3 (09:00):
It was a terrible time.
Speaker 2 (09:02):
We're just on the computer like in a virtual queue.
Speaker 3 (09:05):
Wow.
Speaker 2 (09:05):
Yeah, well we all did it. Like I was like,
we all got on together and all did it, and
I was just like, who can get there first?
Speaker 3 (09:14):
It was just a thing of like what was so
annoying for me? My main my main problem to play
station one was in fact, like I saw the PFI
come out and I wasn't that bothered by it. I
was just like, oh, well, you know, i'd pick it
up it like maybe net year or whatever. But then
of course, as soon as I saw it as everyone
setting out, I was like, oh crap, and I actually
want it now because it's like a you know, supplying demand,
(09:35):
isn't it. Like you sort of as soon as you
see it going, everyone's going crazier. You're like, oh no,
I wish I just I wish I had the chance
to go on Amazon and just buy it like a
normal product. I literally looked on Amazon and I was like,
now it's too expensive. I'll leave it. I'll leave for
Christmas or whatever. If I only didn't do that, I
would have had it, like and I probably could have
(09:56):
sold it for like double the price or something. Oh
that's a yeah.
Speaker 4 (10:00):
I mean part of why I was I was like
really want to one at the time is because you know,
you you three years it was then all had it.
Remember when we were doing our pre waz like you know,
training streams if you like, on a completely different channel.
I was the one streaming, but I was you know,
I was the only one with AS five. So it's like, yeah,
(10:22):
this is the worst person to be streaming. Y'all are
playing GTA in sixty fps, and I was okay with
my twenty four probably four. I am ice.
Speaker 3 (10:33):
Streaming GT like that GT five on anything, but either
obviously a PC or five is idious. I don't know
how I can never go back to that. It's just
terrible time.
Speaker 4 (10:48):
But yeah, I feel like GTA was like, I mean,
obviously it's better on a new a console, but like
it kind of I feel like it kind of sucked
on PS three and four, the era of console, and
then on PS five it became like an actual finished product.
I feel for the first time.
Speaker 2 (11:09):
I remember playing it on three sixty it doesn't it's
we're playing it now in PS five and realizing it
was first three sixty game. It didn't feel like at
the time, and it's just like looking back at games,
it's like, oh, yeah, they used to be on this console,
but then you're playing on this console now.
Speaker 3 (11:26):
It's like, huh, it's old and so we So I don't.
Speaker 2 (11:31):
Know what you're talking about someone else.
Speaker 3 (11:33):
I don't get surely one hundred years old.
Speaker 2 (11:37):
Oney, No, we don't live like that anyway. Yeah, I
was gonna say about the console coming and you maybe
they're just gonna like leave it to the content creators
to like kind of sell it for them. But like
they bring out early, the people who can obviously get
it early will show it off and all that kind
(11:58):
of stuff, and then they'll like entice people to buy
it more because they see them using it and showing
off in the real world where it's not like on
the like on a video before it comes out kind
of thing.
Speaker 4 (12:11):
Yeah, I mean, it would only give time to build hype,
particularly amongst kids through the rest of the year, towards
the holiday's season, and then the last their parents for it.
Speaker 3 (12:20):
I guess I mean that is I think, of course,
you know, you have got the summer holidays, so you
know you are going to find that very easily that
kids could be buying switches or switch to for basically
some holidays are coming out like the next month. You know,
it's like exactly, And that's the thing, because it's a
(12:40):
portable console and it's ideal for any any like event,
location whatever. That's that's the thing with the switch was
always so good is the fact that it's portable, so
and it can be obviously it's portable and the home
console at the same time.
Speaker 2 (12:56):
I was used to doct the first one.
Speaker 3 (13:00):
Yeah, see we're around. I never ever docked it. I
hardly ever. I literally only US support even at home.
I just don't. I don't know. I just I felt
like that was the best part of it. Like the doctor,
it was just yeah, I don't know. I never had
a like proper controller though, so I should have got
like a you know, a pro controller for it.
Speaker 4 (13:19):
Used like the joy card. Wow, okay, get with it.
Speaker 3 (13:24):
You know.
Speaker 4 (13:25):
I was such the opposite on both ends because I
remember I waited for a switch light. This is before
we were streaming or anything. I wait, I didn't. This
idea of the switch was weird to me because I'd
rather just have a portable version only because it was
kind of it is kind of big and chunky for
what it is. And then a switch light gets announced,
(13:47):
Oh perfect is ex active, but I want and I
love my switch light. But then we start streaming and
stuff and I've barely done many switch streams to be honest.
But I then buy a normal switch but I kind
of want to one anyway, because I wanted to help
like in on a TV or monitor and use a
proper controller. I have a proper, not aficient Endo one,
but I have a like normal controller if you like
(14:09):
for it, because I wanted to play things with that
as well. So I've sort of gone both ends of
that spectrum somehow.
Speaker 3 (14:19):
Yeah, it's a good console though, it's just it's just
great console, like it really is, just needs more to it,
which hopefully this is going to bring.
Speaker 2 (14:28):
Hopefully where they game this has.
Speaker 4 (14:32):
Well what will come to Yeah, I mean I I
there are some interesting things. However, there's also things that
make me grown a little bit. But I'll dive into
that after we talk about the price, because that happens
to be the next thing on this article.
Speaker 2 (14:49):
Don't got me start on the price.
Speaker 4 (14:52):
The switch to will be three hundred and ninety five
pounds and ninety nine pence or the equivalent pricing tier
in your local currency. The switch to end Mario Kart
World bundle that's an America game will be four hundred
and twenty nine pounds or the equivalent pricing tier in
your local currency. You guys feel that higher than you expected?
Speaker 3 (15:12):
One hundred percent? Yeah, I think like the with the
game like four, I mean, I still I always forget
how expensive the PS five was anyway, but like that
four twenty or whatever with a game, it just is
the switch to really going to do enough to justify
(15:33):
that price? That that's my main concerne It's like, is
it is it two? Like four twenty, you are basically
pushing to PlayStation five, which without you know, the difference
in quality is surely surely massive. Really now when you
think how good the PS five actually is quality wise,
(15:53):
it's I can't believe the Switch two is going to have.
And this is what I'm saying with like the fact
is not that different from the switch, Like is it
going to actually have enough to make me think, oh,
you know, I've got to spend that much money on
it because it's got this, this, and this and that.
Probably will rely on the game to come up with it.
Of course, because there's not any good games in it,
Well what's the point buying it? Show? Anyway. It is
(16:16):
a difficult one, though. I do think it's a lot
to ask because Nintendo always us pride themselves on being
sort of the cheaper console, more family orientated, you know,
more reasonable. I don't and I just don't know what
they've done to this to make it justifiably that much.
(16:39):
Is it going to be like that? Is it going
to be like that on Amazon? I don't know, Like
they may they may reduce price, because that is the
r ip I guess.
Speaker 4 (16:46):
So yeah, these days, it's just that's the price it is,
isn't it with stuff like this? At least if I
feel like it usually just is what it says on
the tin, which is a bit annoying, you know. Well,
one thing I always compared to the switch because it's
the current switch has like a fraction of the processing
power of like mobile phones like those are actually fantastic
(17:12):
gaming devices, except the fact that it's just a touchscreen
on the thing. But then but then these phones like
top end what good phones are like one thousand pounds anyway,
so and you'd think a dedicated gaming device would be
cheaper anyway. But perhaps if it's getting closer to the
(17:33):
price of a phone, then the power is a significant increase. However,
when they talked about like the one hundred and twenty
fps support, because by the way, it does have one
hundred and twenty fps support in handheld mode as well,
I believe it does, say like on supported titles, and
(17:53):
it's like, okay that how many are actually going to
be a twenty fps? Then exactly a lot to ask
of it.
Speaker 3 (18:03):
Yeah, we're talking just an internal exclusives there, because like.
Speaker 4 (18:06):
I feel like that's almost what it will be.
Speaker 3 (18:08):
It's got to ben't it, because otherwise, how are they
going to do with some of these other Like I
mean they're like list of what they want game wise
to come out, or what they've sort of announced or
you know, what is in the works. Potentially it's just
going to be like as bad as it's going to sound,
a dumber down version of what you can get on
a PlayStation four, PlayStation five, and need. It's not going
(18:30):
to be like the more combat one, like more Commat one.
When that came out was just atrocious on the on
the original switch is so bad, like can you justify
buying it? So is it going to be Is it
going to be that much better? Is the question? Really?
Like respects, but.
Speaker 4 (18:47):
I specs are kind of a like difficult to look
at there because it's yeah, it's like what's it going
to perform? Like it may outperform the specs look like
and to be honest with mobile stuff and don't know
what's good. I don't know the snap Dragon from the
I don't even know any other manufacturer.
Speaker 3 (19:08):
Isn't it snap Dragon?
Speaker 4 (19:13):
I only know the German Suplex Suplex. There's a variety
of periberals, some of which will get into that, I'm sure,
including there's a pro controller for the switch to. There
is a game cube controller which is for the classics,
so they're actually controller again. There is a switch to
(19:37):
camera that's fifty quid and that's kind of interesting. Actually
well yes, yes, but this is a this is a
standalone camera, Like it's not like a thing that goes
onto the handhold. It's for the use when you're using
it docked. I mean you could use it. I guess
(19:57):
you could use it hand howd too, but like it's
not the intent. It's not like it's a webcams. I'm
trying to say, it's like an actual camera on a stand.
And yeah, well yeah, that's what we're going to come to.
But there is an expansion for Super Mario Party Jamboree.
(20:17):
If you have the switch to version of that, or
upgrade your existing copy to a switch version with the
upgrade parts or whatever, there's a what do they call
it Jamboree what they call it Jamboree TV. And honestly,
it looks like I toy if you remember I on
the PS two with the party games, and like you know,
(20:38):
you had like boxes for each of your heads even
though there's one camera, like they've done that, like and
it's part of the Maria Party games. So so yes,
EyeToy is back and it's a Nintendo thing now and
all you need is your four hundred pounds switch and
your fifty pounds intender switch, your camera and there go.
Speaker 2 (21:00):
Cleaning windows.
Speaker 4 (21:03):
Exactly. I hope they have a window cleaning one, because
I mean that is the class.
Speaker 2 (21:08):
All the confume remember that one? Yeah it toy.
Speaker 4 (21:13):
Stream win Yes, please, I still have my light toy
PS two camera. Yeah, I think I have, I have somewhere.
Oh god connect.
Speaker 3 (21:28):
Uh.
Speaker 4 (21:29):
Also this price list, the one, the one actual dedicated
switch to game that comes out on the release date
of the console is Mariocart World, which is I suppose
really is Mario Kart nine. It was eight we're on before,
right eight? Delus this is nine, I guess the ninth
(21:50):
main entry. And here's the prices, right, Digital sixty six
ninety pounds, physical seventy four ninety nine. Oh, yes, it
won't be that. You're not gonna Oh, but we know
what Nintendo games are like with coming down and let's
(22:13):
say the whole strategy because it fails.
Speaker 2 (22:15):
But I mean, I'm surprised that digital games the digital
is cheaper than the physical because usually it's the way around.
Speaker 4 (22:25):
Yeah, actually it's kind of odd.
Speaker 3 (22:27):
Yeah, I think they are, but I want because physical
is way better though, really like the physical game should
actually be more expensive. It's never never really makes sense.
It's not.
Speaker 4 (22:43):
A guy. There is something interesting in this direct that
makes digital games slightly more appealing.
Speaker 3 (22:49):
I think I've seen this just like.
Speaker 2 (22:52):
A shared cartridge mode.
Speaker 4 (22:55):
Yes, yeah, where is that? Thought's talk about that? Since
we've come up to it is that even in.
Speaker 5 (23:00):
Here I want to say, oh wow, it's not a
switch to thing, the original switch.
Speaker 4 (23:12):
Well it's it's for both. No, no, not this article
the virtual cartridge thing, but I can't find anything about it.
But basically, let's say you have a digital game now
instead of just being on your switch as it currently is,
you it is a virtual cartridge, and then you can
put that into your switch or not, and if it
(23:35):
is in your switch, you can play it. It needs to
be online to insert a digital cartridge into your virtual
cartridge into your switch, and as long as you're online,
you could take it out of one switch, put it
into another switch, or share it with someone in your
Nintendo family. And I'm not sure. The only thing I'm
(23:55):
not sure about is how let's say you want to
get it back from your family member and you're online
and you do that, but they're not online. Do you
then both have it or do you maybe have to
be online.
Speaker 3 (24:07):
I think what I read was that they have it
for like two or three weeks and then it disappeared time. Okay, yeah,
they're on a time, so they don't have it like forever.
They get it and it will just regardless if thee not,
it will just have a time and amit and just
disappear after that.
Speaker 4 (24:22):
It makes sense.
Speaker 3 (24:23):
I don't know if that means that they can get
it back straight away. Obviously they're going to do one
at a time as well, can.
Speaker 4 (24:27):
They well, one to one person, so you could lend
one game to three people, yeah, yeah, but yeah, no
more than that. So there's obviously a variety of limitations,
but particularly when it comes to lending, and they have
to be in your family group, so that sounds like
a like you can't share with someone random online or
something like ability. But yeah, it is nice because you know,
(24:53):
that's one of the things with digital games. They can't lend,
you can't And even moving a digital game between playing
on two different switches were a pain in the ass.
I have someone with two switches. It is a pain
in the ass. I remember I remembering at the Edinburgh
Airport waiting and I wanted to play Loopers from Visual
Arts Key on my switch however, and I think I
(25:17):
must have had I think I had the light with
me and the light was now my secondary one. Anyway,
I had to like go on the Nintendo website and
like reregister my main switch or something because I hadn't
done something I should have done before, and I had
to do this in the airport on crappy Wi Fi
and it just didn't really. I spent a long time
(25:38):
being able to play a small part of that game
in Edinburgh Airport in twenty twenty two, and guess what,
I haven't actually touched that game since I never finished it.
So that was great. So this is cool. This is
actually pretty cool.
Speaker 3 (25:52):
Oh yeah, I don't.
Speaker 4 (25:52):
Plan on having more than one switch in the next generation.
If I have one at.
Speaker 2 (25:56):
All, you'll have free if you buy this one.
Speaker 4 (26:00):
Well, yeah, I won't use the other two, will I like.
Speaker 2 (26:04):
On a shelf, on a dusty shelf? Perhaps, yes, Well,
people use old consoles for decorations, so you can just
put on the wall or something, or on a shelf.
Speaker 4 (26:14):
Maybe.
Speaker 3 (26:17):
Yeah. You probably could least sell one.
Speaker 4 (26:19):
I guess I could try, but I probably sell the
dockable one because there is no switch to late yet,
so I would keep you switch light. And I mean
hopefully they get that thing hacked sooner or later and
I can I don't know anything, naughty.
Speaker 2 (26:37):
Yeah, sorry Nintendo if you're listening, and no sponsorship there
from them, then.
Speaker 4 (26:45):
What else we've got hair. You'll be able to pre
order that switch on Tuesday, eighth of April. That is
this coming tuesday. I will not do that.
Speaker 3 (26:54):
That's no, no, too soon.
Speaker 4 (27:00):
I think you can porer earlier if you're an online
member or something. Yeah, those with more people with more
playtime of games are prioritized. Interesting hearing usage information is
an element that prioritizes you. That's quite funny and disturbing.
(27:21):
But yeah, well here are the Launch Games World and
Nintendo Switch to Welcome to Her.
Speaker 3 (27:31):
What a long list of games? Which one will I
play for?
Speaker 4 (27:35):
Yes?
Speaker 3 (27:35):
It is.
Speaker 2 (27:36):
I think Welcome to part of like how they like
use the console.
Speaker 4 (27:39):
To yea, it doesn't really look like a game from.
Speaker 2 (27:43):
The because they did that with the Pster with the
Welcome Park.
Speaker 3 (27:55):
That is a Unfortunately, that's one of the things that's
put me off at the moment, and is the lack
of like for a gain for conserts coming out in
like you know, let's say it's coming out in two
months now. That's nothing like you've got two games for
consolets coming out that quickly. To not know anything else
(28:15):
that's coming out for it is like, really, I understand
again that you can play Switch games on it. So
it's not like you're not going to have any games,
but you need to have Like you think of when
the original Switch came out, you had like Odyssey, and
you had like Breath for the World, and they weren't
I don't think all of them were release games. I
can't remember now.
Speaker 4 (28:35):
I was gonna say, to be fair, there are some
games not long after the release.
Speaker 2 (28:40):
Yeah, I saw, I was going. I was going to
mention that, but.
Speaker 4 (28:44):
Party as well, Like there's actually quite a lot of
other games on him. Yeah, that's why.
Speaker 3 (28:50):
It's why it's almost worth waiting, because there's no getting
on straight away. But then, like I said earlier, it's
like you wait and then the problem of not being
able to get to one when you want one, you know,
it's it's always the issue.
Speaker 2 (29:02):
I do like the fact that we can play our
other Switch games on it, Like it's actually is going
to be back with compatible with the Switch one. So
any games.
Speaker 4 (29:14):
They didn't do that, honestly, yeah, it'd been terrible they
are nowadays.
Speaker 2 (29:19):
It was a bit surprising either way, but I'm happy
that nowadays.
Speaker 4 (29:25):
It's the first time I've had that's for a long time.
Speaker 3 (29:28):
The PS four is the main issue. Really, that was
the one that like in the PS five, Yeah, you
go back to PlayStation four and then you've got all
of the emulators that basically gained now you know. It's
it's actually they understand that there's money in retro, which
was obvious from like years ago, that people want to
play PS one and PS two games and stuff like that.
(29:51):
And hence why Nintendo, as we're probably allude to it
in a few seconds, is you know, doing exactly the
same thing with older games, like emulating older games.
Speaker 2 (30:03):
Well, the three I found at the moment are Hogwarts, Legacy,
hit Man, and Double O seven, which is three one
notable interested project. Double seven is called okay oh.
Speaker 3 (30:20):
Yeah because there is the remaking goal and I think
they or like something like that. They're doing like a
from the ground up remake of one of the older
games Camera with One.
Speaker 4 (30:34):
There's also Delta Rune, which is from the creator of Undertail.
Both chapters three and four I think are being added
for the first time with that release, So I think
that's something I never played that really problyou director's cut.
Speaker 2 (30:50):
I've seen split fiction Borderlands for.
Speaker 4 (30:55):
None of these are new games as far as.
Speaker 3 (30:57):
I'm aware the three and four, although Borlands will want it?
Is it Borlands four? Four? Yeah, so that will be
a new game. I guess that's going to come out
with the rest of the releases for.
Speaker 2 (31:11):
That, which apparently they're going to bring out Cyberpunk with it.
Speaker 4 (31:17):
Yes, again like cons.
Speaker 3 (31:18):
There, it's just with that though, it's like, am I
going to get I don't need to be as good
because obviously it's not gonna be good as PlayStation five
or a PC whatever, But am I going to be
in close to it to make it like in a
way and it's gonna not stupid, but in a way
playable because I don't want to play if the quality
is really bad, if the frame rates really bad, I
(31:38):
didn't get that to what they, like you said, one
hundred and twenty frames and like almost like a Steam
deck or whatever, like you know, that sort of playability,
then that will probably be like my favorite console. If
I can get a portable, let's say, a portable PlayStation
five perfect, you know, that's exactly what I want, basically
a portable.
Speaker 4 (31:59):
Have you heard of the PlayStation portal?
Speaker 3 (32:03):
I have not picked it up for surprising.
Speaker 4 (32:05):
I mean actually steemed probably more what you want anyway.
Speaker 3 (32:08):
Although I have heard a lot about this. I spoke
to someone in one of our local CITYX is that
actually and they said, apparently it's a lot of games
you can't play or struggles to me, so it's just annoying.
Speaker 2 (32:28):
A new Pokemon game is the one I'll be waiting for.
Speaker 4 (32:32):
Yes, we'll have a switch to enhanced versions, probably the
minimum to play, considering how poorly Pokemon games have run
on the switch for the last iteration or something.
Speaker 2 (32:44):
Terrible, the thing is to switch to as well. I
don't know if I like, if I do get on,
do I wait to see there's going to be another
color of variant or just get the basic one because
I did that much care.
Speaker 3 (32:57):
Of course it will be there'll be a light version
or like not a light version, but a pro version
whatever they called slim version as well, like there always is.
Speaker 4 (33:06):
Yeah, there'll be like like we've had the lead switch,
we'll have some sort of enhanced switch to one day
if you want to wait like five years, pluss.
Speaker 2 (33:17):
You want, I guess, yeah, the very first switch. So
it was like I was waiting for, like I'll buy
the old one and then I thought, I'm the Switch
is going to probably be announced, and here we are
now exactly play a switch. I play mornings to get
my exercise.
Speaker 4 (33:34):
Anything you play on the TV is not any better
with the lead anyway, right, because.
Speaker 3 (33:41):
You've taken that out of it, really, haven't it?
Speaker 4 (33:45):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (33:48):
The best?
Speaker 4 (33:50):
Sorry, I was going to move on, but have anything
else to say?
Speaker 3 (33:55):
You mention.
Speaker 2 (34:00):
The best thing?
Speaker 4 (34:00):
Yeah, but I've seen the full list here now of
things that some launched, some aren't. A sports FC and
Madden will be on which Madend? Well, yeah, Final Fantasy remake, integrate,
and I'll launch title Hollow Night, Silk Song.
Speaker 3 (34:22):
I saw that.
Speaker 2 (34:24):
All my visual novels I'll be playing on the new Switch.
Speaker 4 (34:28):
Yeah, I could play actually like Loopers. I could finish
Loopers on.
Speaker 2 (34:34):
The Switch to whatever happened and we can start air.
Speaker 4 (34:40):
Yes, but I'm not sure that's on Switch to be fair.
Speaker 2 (34:43):
Might stream air if people wanted all stream air?
Speaker 4 (34:47):
Oh, streaming air, because then I don't have to play air.
Speaker 2 (34:53):
I'll play it for you basically, that's what That's what
streamers and contractors are. They just play the game four
oh you because.
Speaker 4 (35:01):
Like pretty much, Yeah, it's a story based game.
Speaker 3 (35:04):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (35:05):
When you watch your place story based games. You either
watch it because they're playing it and then you enjoyed
both the person and the game, or you watch them
see what the game's like and then you stop watching
them play that version that game and then play it
and play it yourself, or you play along with them,
like there's always it's always either or like there's some games,
(35:29):
or I'll watch other people play and like enjoy the
story with them, and then others are like, oh, that
looks kind of cool. I'll play it myself and what
play the story myself kind of thing, and then come
back to them when when I'm done or something. It's
always an auction. So what's next on the agenda.
Speaker 4 (35:48):
Well, we've got Mario cart World, which is, yes, the
ninth mainline iteration of Mario Art and well, you know,
I'm going to be a bit but I'll put that
behind me for the time being. It's Mario Kart and
there will be a Mario Kart World direct on Thursday,
(36:11):
seventeenth of April, so there will be an expansion on
what we already know. But there are some cool things
in this game. One particular thing is that there is
some sort of open world in this so I think, yeah,
Knockout Tour mode is called where we can race across
(36:36):
this sort of open world, and I think the sort
of a mode where like you do a race and
then you race everyone to the next race location in
the cup. I think that's described it. Yeah, like all
or many at least, that these tracks exist in locations
(36:56):
around this area which we can drive around freely. And
twenty four drivers online as well, I assume are an Maxillum,
so that's a lot of drivers.
Speaker 3 (37:09):
Yeah, it's it's not bad. I think they've they've obviously
taken a note out of like all these other racing
games that are doing this open world sort of sandbox mode,
you know, like with what's called Father, you know you
have like the open world and then you and my
Burn Up Paradise today as well. A load of games
(37:29):
obviously done it throughout the past. But it makes more
sense to a world where you can just you know,
roam around, then you go to a point to then
start at the race or do whatever. They'll be like
site missions. Probably you're not there, like it'll be very
like a load of different stuff to do. I imagine
it'd probably be quite good, but I mean even then,
I as much as I love America, and obviously I
(37:50):
love like the old one, I'm just not that bothered,
really not that bothered by another America game. I feel
like there's just too many now, and I really I'm
not that interested anymore. I'd rather play Double National GameCube.
I'd rather play like America sixty four. You know, it's
just I understand why you would make more America because
(38:13):
I think it is quite me I'm wrong, but it's
one of the top selling games on the Switch.
Speaker 4 (38:20):
I think America I would like to say it's the highest.
Speaker 3 (38:24):
I think it may even be the highest.
Speaker 4 (38:26):
I can't verify that feeling, which.
Speaker 3 (38:30):
Makes sense because it was it was paired of a
lot of the consoles, of course, but it is like
a staple game you get, isn't it. Like you think
of the Switch and it was like, well, especially when
it came out, it was like and actually, if you
think everyone when it came out, at least over here
in the UK had America and then like either had
Breath of the World or Mariodyssy. I'm pretty sure that
(38:51):
was and you had to basically choose between which one
you wanted. But it always came America, so, you know,
but it is it's a great game anyway, really, Like,
it's not like they've just put it in there and
it's it's a piece of crap basically, nor I wanted.
You know, it's Nintendo, it's Marika, it's it is the
same sort of thing. But it's also great at the
same time because it does it really well. And the
(39:14):
d l C. As annoying as it is to have
to pay for the d l C, the actual cost
of it isn't that bad when it's like what thirty
or quid or whatever it's a year for that was
it called premiums? What the weather? The Nintendo is subscription
thing is Switch Online, yeah, basically, which came with that,
(39:35):
because it wasn't just the online there was it was the.
Speaker 2 (39:39):
Get the online where the stuff.
Speaker 3 (39:42):
Yeah, the retro games as well, which which wants. Again,
the best thing about it is the only thing I
played on my Switch was the retro games.
Speaker 2 (39:51):
I just get the normal online. Because of this, you
can't play without Switch Sports.
Speaker 3 (39:58):
It's an annoying, it's not. It's so cheap though, to
be honest, like compared to like PlayStation plus, it's so
cheap it's like you pay like twenty twenty years, like nothing,
is it really you don't even missed twenty years so.
Speaker 2 (40:13):
Or some cases twelve a year. Y.
Speaker 3 (40:19):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (40:22):
The next game they announced kind of interestingness. Uh, and
it gives me a little bit Knockouts the vibes Drag
x Drive. It's a a basketball game, but the characters
are it's where we will share basketball games specifically, but
it's like not a realistic one necessarily. It's you know,
(40:44):
rather cartoon the a bit more grim look in the
Knockout City, but similar vibes. I would say, very urban,
I guess you know what I mean. Oh yeah, And
the idea is yeah, because by the way, you can
use the joy cons as mice, like yeah, well yeah,
you can like put them you know, if you know
(41:04):
the bit that connects to the switch, right, you put
that down and then you move it like a mouse.
But they showed for this wheelchair basketball game. They showed
them like with two of them, like pushing them forward
like it's the wheelchair. Yeah, that's kind of probably why
(41:27):
they've made this game is to show off this feature
because it is, you know, kind of not.
Speaker 2 (41:37):
I can see the picture now of the two being
used as mice ye, like in the promo vide for
the actual switch when they were taking them off the docks,
they were like moving them around on the side like that,
So maybe that was hinting at that feature.
Speaker 4 (41:51):
I didn't even notice that. Oh yeah they did, didn't
they They were when they were right the side of
the original trader, they were moving around on that.
Speaker 2 (42:01):
So they were they were just you don't know until
this point.
Speaker 4 (42:06):
That's funny. Well, remember I didn't remember that all. Yeah,
this article suggests it's like Rocket League. I mean, we'll
see if it really is. But you know, it sounds
sounds like an urban crazy basketball game, so it might
be fun, but you know, I can't imagine it being
that popular for because of what it is.
Speaker 3 (42:26):
Yeah, it's one of those games.
Speaker 2 (42:28):
Well, I've typed it in Google the game to have
a look more at and also the game comes up
and a type of vape that comes up with the
same name.
Speaker 4 (42:37):
Yeah, drag this question.
Speaker 2 (42:40):
Neither the game. But yeah, wheelchair basketball. It's got basketball
in it. I'm in for it. Kirkana basket wheelchair version.
Speaker 4 (42:53):
We also have a High Rule Warriors game. I don't
know anything about High Royal Warriors skip it skip then
The Dusk Bloods. This is a title from from Software
exclusive to nintendowit. I get see that The Dusk Blood's
(43:14):
newly announced game, so blood it looks.
Speaker 3 (43:19):
So it looks like from software games, So like Dark Souls,
Blood Born, uh, you know, elden Ring. It's all that
that vibe is obviously if Souls like game, yeah, which
is basically what they do. But that'd be cool. That'd
be cool, you know, And it's a cool console. Again.
I had Dark Souls on Switch on the original switch,
(43:39):
and it was It's quite I never played it before,
so in a way it's nice to never play a
game before and then go to some of that when
people may have been complaining about it. I have no idea.
I played on there. It's an enjoyable game. It's like
elden Ring and everything. You know, Like as much as
they're really good games and I really should play them,
I play in for like two hours and then I
forget they exist and never played them again. But when
(44:00):
I'm playing them, they're brilliant games. You know, they're fantastic.
And if it can go, if it can sort of
hold toe to toe with a PS four for example,
you know, a game like that have great play on there,
I think, you know, and it being exclusive, you know,
maybe it will come to something else at some point,
because it does seem to be. We are in that
(44:22):
market at the moment where Xbox, well Microsoft is giving
away all their games to everyone, and PlayStation and giving
their games to the PCs. May but yeah, I'm excited that.
Speaker 4 (44:37):
We've also got and I don't even know the original
game of this. You'll have to tell me how old
the original game is. But we have Kirby air Riders,
which I believe is a sequel to Kirby Air Ride.
How old is that? How old?
Speaker 3 (44:50):
I can't tell you how it is. I Cube, I
don't know. I don't think of actually GameCube.
Speaker 4 (44:58):
Yeah name Cube games were twenty years ago.
Speaker 2 (45:07):
Maybe Kirby game a few years ago.
Speaker 4 (45:11):
Kirby air Rider, Kirby Air Ride.
Speaker 3 (45:14):
Kirby games come out all the time.
Speaker 4 (45:15):
But like Kirby Air Ride and air Riders are cart
racing games. It seems announced. Yeah, they've announced two first
party IP cart racing games they sell.
Speaker 3 (45:31):
I mean, I would imagine that as a nossalage thingame
for people that played the original. I have no idea.
I never played it. I don't really like Kirby that much,
but like, yeah, I've never played it, so it probably
is a thing where it hasn't been one since. Then
people go be like, oh, you know, it's like a
sequel to that game I really used to love, So
I'll jump on and play it. But yeah, it's a
(45:52):
bit weird to move. I don't know, it'll probably do, right,
I imagine.
Speaker 4 (45:57):
Yeah, there's no gameplay of it yet, just a trailer,
and I don't know they were a game lay of
the originals, so I don't know what even to expect.
I mean, you know, if it's a good car racing game,
then i'd be interested in perhaps the original Mario Car.
But it's gonna be in the shadow of Mary Car.
I mean, firstly for obvious reasons, but secondly, Mario Carr
has like an open world now, like I was gonna
(46:21):
have the same. I mean, to be fair, they could
just like use it. I guess they could, but I
don't know, it probably won't. So that's kind of odd,
I think, especially from you know, the first party. But
it's a thing. Yeah, yeah, And I think this is
funny because I think I I think We had a
(46:41):
conversation about this a while back, guy, where I said
to you, isn't it funny? How like Donkey Kong is
like this well known character and is in Smash and
Mario Car and all sorts. But when was the last
time Donkey Kong had a game? Like, I can't remember
last time Donkey Kong had a game. So anyway, Donkey
(47:01):
Kong is getting a new game in July, Donkey Kong
Bananza like Banana and Bonanza.
Speaker 3 (47:15):
And.
Speaker 4 (47:17):
It looks fun. It's a three D platformer and Donkey
Kong's going around. You can like you can just stray everything,
like the whole world, the floor of the ground, you
can tunnel like you seem to have the most unlimited
strength I've ever seen out of any video game character. Sounds,
but it looks really fun honestly, And his eyes looked
(47:41):
like Cappy's eyes from Odyssey, So I feel like that
sign it will be good.
Speaker 3 (47:48):
That's probably a good sign. But once again, I mean,
you played well. I don't know if also played the
Donkey Kong game before.
Speaker 4 (47:57):
I'm assuming has been when I think the two D
going up the ladders with the barrels.
Speaker 3 (48:03):
No, like don Kung Country that was a huge game
on sixty four.
Speaker 2 (48:07):
Yeah, I think the last I think the last Donkey
Kong game on sixty four.
Speaker 3 (48:13):
Yeah, I mean that last thing we all well with
our age and like you know that was that was
the game that came the big Donkey Kong game, Dun
Kung Country maybe two on the sixty four. I don't
really know much about it because I don't really like
don Kong games, but like, yeah, Trouble Freeze came out
on Switch, which I think was a Tropical Freeze, Donkey
(48:37):
Kong Tropical free that was like a that was a
side scrolling sort of platforming game. And then there was
I think that was a part of like a WE
U game or a WE game, and then it got
put on onto Switch.
Speaker 4 (48:51):
Because I was never heard of this game in my life.
Don't Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze? Well, is it any good?
Speaker 3 (49:03):
Do you tell me? Go bye? Yes?
Speaker 4 (49:05):
This will be the first technically the first one in
eleven years, because that came out originally on the Wii
U in twenty fourteen. It was another of those we
you to switch ports.
Speaker 3 (49:14):
There may have been another Donkey Kong game in.
Speaker 2 (49:17):
Between two that.
Speaker 3 (49:22):
Well, not after Trouple Free.
Speaker 4 (49:24):
That's the last one. Yeah, so it has been has
been a decade, to be fair. Before that was Donkey
Kong Country Returns on we Oh wait that came out
on Switch in twenty Wait it came out this year?
Speaker 3 (49:42):
Wait this year?
Speaker 4 (49:43):
It says twenty twenty five, twenty thirty, twenty ten on Wii,
twenty thirteen on three dyes, and twenty twenty five on
Nintendo Switch. The link is the link is wrong.
Speaker 3 (49:54):
It's I feel like that there is there has been
one announced, but before the one you're talking about anyway,
Well maybe it's the same one. I don't know, but
I feel like the last intend the director watched had
that game coming.
Speaker 4 (50:08):
Out, Donkey Kong Country Returns. I doesn't say when the
Switch ones come out. I think it might already be out.
It is already out. That was it?
Speaker 3 (50:18):
Okay?
Speaker 4 (50:21):
Yeah, January. So I think it's a remake remaster Donkey
Kong Country. So that that's interesting and maybe I should
get that if that game was good. Interesting? Uh but yeah,
we this what was it you said? An you think
they're writing on this?
Speaker 2 (50:39):
I'm certain obviously with all this success of the Switch
because of obviously their flop of the WEU that they're
riding on the success of the switch for the switch
to and all this stuff coming up. So I was
trying to get up because you mentioned the WEU.
Speaker 4 (50:53):
Well, it is interesting if they, you know, other than
the we you, they've never they never really had a
console flop. Well they never even continued a name over right,
I think, well, I guess and snares that handful of times.
Speaker 2 (51:11):
Game Boy, game Boys, game Boy game Boys.
Speaker 5 (51:20):
I Homecore, like you know what I mean, it was
sixty four games.
Speaker 3 (51:27):
They were all innovative, like we you, which flopped, then
switch and now just switched.
Speaker 4 (51:33):
It's not even like switched you, it's just straight up
switch that's never happened. They're never a game Boy too.
Speaker 3 (51:44):
Yeah, it's it's quite cool. Like I think they've done
it because of how well of course the original switch done.
They don't need to change the formula. All they need
to do is make it better, which look at it,
hopefully they've done.
Speaker 2 (52:00):
Surprised they didn't actually because of what they do with
the switch and the switch to the I'm surprised back
along they didn't do anything with the Wii where they
actually brought like another Nintendo Wii because I know they
brought down black and were you huh yeah, but I
mean like they didn't do anything more of that kind
of concept apart from that with the Wii U kind
of thing. Never did like it either any version of
(52:22):
it or you know, before that time.
Speaker 3 (52:25):
They're still selling really well in Japan and ever selling
so well like globally that they just didn't need to
do anything with the Wii. It was just so like innovative.
It was crazy really the think as well in Nintendo,
like apart from the Snares era when there wasn't really
much competition, like the sixty four. I love the sixty four,
(52:46):
but a lot of people don't like it, and Gangkube
exactly same. I love the GameCube, but a lot of
people just you know, the PS two was out. You
didn't need anything else for the PS two, to be honest.
The PS two was the fast a period console and
that yeah, and it was the Xbox. You're getting like
the Xbox come out of three sixty and then you
had the PlayStation for free, and then you had the
Wii and it's like the week obviously, tell was massively
(53:10):
like inferior in a way to graphically because they were
using they're still using it still standard definition.
Speaker 2 (53:18):
Which meant the concept of motion games.
Speaker 3 (53:22):
But even Nintendo have never been the type to be
They're never trying to win the best looker, you know,
they're not. They're not trying to be the console that
can display your game in the best quality. You know.
They want it fun, which is something that every console
part from the WU really has actually managed to do.
They have really good games on them, Like even the
(53:44):
handheld ones all like innovative in a way. They all
got their own little gimmick, but the gimmicks aren't like stupid,
Like they're not like the three DS. Maybe I feel
like the three D was pointless, but like they brought
new games with it, so it was a completely different thing.
Like you know, it's slightly enhanced graphics and everything, you know,
but most of that they don't really And that's why
(54:06):
anyone concertants really flopped, you know, it's not And that's
just probably because they didn't change it much from the
Wii because the we were so good. The formula was
there for the Wii. They didn't want to change it,
but it'd be better for them. They just did the
switch in between the two obviously. Yeah, it's at the
(54:27):
end of the day, you know, people say what they want.
There's boundary people in this cup before too long who
get the hands on this and be like, oh the
downside with the switch too is blah blah blah blah.
But I will probably buy it, maybe not straight away,
but I think that nothing's really going to put me
off to the point where I'm not going to buy
one in like this year if I can.
Speaker 4 (54:46):
Yeah, yeah, I feel like I will add that with one,
probably when when we end up getting around to the
Pokemon game coming out to Bennis. But also that's swayed
a little bit more because I don't see myself getting
a PS six or similar. I don't see myself actually
(55:10):
purchasing that sort of console ever again, so if I'm
going to buy one, you might as well be the
Nintendo one. Honestly.
Speaker 3 (55:19):
Well yeah, I mean, if you've got a good PC,
then the only thing you're missing is the Nintendo games.
So you know you can't yeah you know, whereas now
you can basically get a play Sich games. You don't even
need to have it really, like yeah, every what not
every but you know they're they're releasing so many on
the PC. Now that is a bit like a man.
(55:40):
It's sort of annoying in a way, but I totally understand.
Speaker 4 (55:46):
So a lot of titles they announced today are actually
deliberate upgrades to Switch games, which reminded me an awfully
lot of the fact that they basically every first party
Switch game for the first seventy five percent of its
(56:06):
existence was a wee U port I think was like,
honestly was perhaps the only one until the more recent
slew of games, and people forget that. I feel like,
you know, the Breath of the Wild, the iconic Switch
game that sold consoles, that's a wee you game. It's not,
(56:29):
And it's now an intended switch game as an intended
switch to game two, because you can buy that with
a switch to upgraded version will.
Speaker 3 (56:37):
Be the g T A of g T five. Breath
will on free consoles, isn't it. So it's on free generation?
Speaker 4 (56:47):
Yeah, crazy, quite funny. And the other ones are Super
Mario part of Jamboree, which, to be fair, a new game.
The other ones are like newer games, the others elder
the newer one, I forget what it's called. The Kingdom.
Oh yeah, yeah, Breath of the World and then Kirby
(57:08):
and The Forgotten Land. All these you can either buy
them as Switched to aditions, or if you have the
switch one edition, you can purchase like an upgrade pack
so you don't have to rebuyde a whole game, which
actually is kind of nice.
Speaker 2 (57:20):
I don't I would have to buy them anyway.
Speaker 4 (57:24):
Well, you don't even have Breath of the Wild.
Speaker 2 (57:26):
Nope, that's the game I never played.
Speaker 4 (57:29):
I played it, I didn't finish it, but I do
have it.
Speaker 2 (57:32):
So I think the last Silda game I played was
The Spirit Train whatever the train tracks what's that one called?
Speaker 3 (57:42):
I don't know. I mean it was DS one or
it was.
Speaker 2 (57:46):
On a d S yeah, because you have to like
blow air into the microphone to fix the track whatever.
Speaker 3 (57:52):
I actually really like, I never played. I only ever
really played the games of Tune Lincoln, so like the
I never ever played apart from the.
Speaker 2 (58:03):
World Well in a little secret as well. Growing up,
when I was playing the Zelder games, I never thought
Link was called Link. I thought his name was Zelda.
Speaker 1 (58:14):
You wouldn't be the only one everybody nobody knew, because
what you just well, it's legend.
Speaker 2 (58:26):
Yeah, So it should be Zelda. No, the princess is Zelda.
It's like, so, who's this? Then? I was Link okay,
the Adventure of Link or.
Speaker 3 (58:35):
As I married the princesses Mario so.
Speaker 2 (58:40):
Obviously yes, yes, she's a plumber with a mustache.
Speaker 4 (58:49):
So some of these do have like added bits and bobs,
which which, to be fair, what they did with some
of the we you to Switch games, such as the
three D World remake, the Hadle extra like Bowser think
imagig so particularly Mary Party Jambuary we touched on earlier,
but it's got this Jambureary TV feature with the switch version,
which does look like eye toy, and it will require
(59:11):
that camera.
Speaker 2 (59:13):
How like how many specs as they go.
Speaker 4 (59:17):
I don't think the specs matter too much. You're not
gonna be recording with it, is what I mean. It's
going to be a video game. Although that being said,
there is actually did invent discord again within the switch
to as well, so you can enter like what appears
(59:39):
to be a party chat, but you can even video
call in it, and even like overlay like streamer style
overlay automatic green screen of yourself over your gameplay and
you see everyone's gameplay while you play stuff like that.
I did laugh at this though, because there's a point
(59:59):
in this and the sort of not really demo, more
like a trailer because it's very staged. And this guy
like brings up one of their streams full screen to
like tell them where to go or something in the
open world Mario Kart, but the stream is running at
like fifteen FBS and it's like, oh, well, at least
you're not over selling this, but that looks shit.
Speaker 2 (01:00:23):
What are you doing?
Speaker 4 (01:00:25):
I don't know. I wonder if you could somehow pipe
that in, but probably be difficult. But yeah, so that
there's some interesting party chat features that I don't think
people will use, to be honest, especially if all the
camera stuff requires everyone to have a camera. So but
(01:00:46):
there is this Jamuary TV feature which does sound like
a very fun party game if you were to have
it the camera, and I think you can play it's
online as well, so like you could do EyeToy multiplayer
now like through this, but everyone needs the camera so
and switch online and a switch to and the eighty
pound games.
Speaker 3 (01:01:03):
So.
Speaker 2 (01:01:06):
Yeah, could just buy.
Speaker 4 (01:01:10):
Well you can't play Jabbery TV on the PC. Yeah, yeah,
well we'll see whoa whoa Whoa Nothing Your Breath of
the World and The Kingdom I mentioned them, but they
don't ready have I don't think they have anything new
(01:01:31):
except you can now like there's like a companion mobile app.
I don't think that's very cool, but it also reminds
me of like I remember Sony tried to do that
with the PS four. Remember I remember playing Metal five
Ground Zero's with a companion app and I was like running,
I had sneak running while I marked way points on
(01:01:54):
the phone at the same time for like efficiency, and
that was actually kind of.
Speaker 3 (01:01:59):
Stuff.
Speaker 4 (01:02:00):
Yeah, it's a bit gimmicky, but like you, I didn't know.
I didn't even play that with it. But yeah, so
but that with Breath of the Wild and Tears of
the Kingdom, So that's the thing. Yeah, Curban, the Forgotten
Land has the switched to version and that does have
like an extra it's now Kirby and the Forgotten Land
(01:02:20):
Nintendo switch to Edition plus Star Cross World whatever that is.
So it's like an extra bit.
Speaker 3 (01:02:26):
I don't know, I guess, but yeah.
Speaker 4 (01:02:31):
And then if you have the Metroid Prime four, I
had a switch to edition a Legends Z Day there
wasn't they kind of glossed over Z Day. Obviously that
is just a switch game, but it will ever switch
to edition and they say enhance resolution frame rates. So
that's kind of the main issue.
Speaker 3 (01:02:50):
Is all I need simply give me the frame rate.
I don't care. I'll pay the extra money for I.
Speaker 4 (01:02:54):
Know, right, so that the Day might sell switch to
for me othe and I will want to play it,
and I will not want to play on Switch together.
Speaker 2 (01:03:05):
Spider Man games on the Switch.
Speaker 3 (01:03:08):
Very much.
Speaker 4 (01:03:10):
No, I don't think so. Not not at the moment.
It would go to Xbox before ye PlayStation if Xbox
doesn't die anyway, I mean it, I think it is.
Speaker 3 (01:03:24):
But yeah, definitely the right console.
Speaker 4 (01:03:29):
Uh, GameCube games, which guy, I think.
Speaker 2 (01:03:32):
You are.
Speaker 3 (01:03:34):
The best part of that entire thing. Literally saw that article,
just seeing the tight little snippet of just GameCube games,
and I was like, well, that's it. That's that's me
buying it because that's the only thing I care about really,
because I can't get my gamecuber. I don't know where
my GameCube is. But I just had to Pokemon Coliseum
like XD and like all these other games like Luis
(01:03:57):
Mansion Brita Games to smash for his meally, so many
Double Dash just going crazy.
Speaker 2 (01:04:04):
Gamekeeper game I remember playing It's just super monkey Ball
whatever it's called.
Speaker 3 (01:04:09):
The worst one was the worst game. But I mean,
like literally is the Gamekeep had so many like you
had Super Maar Sunshine, which people have probably played now
because of the you know, the switch release of that,
but oh so good, so good. The games is so
expensive as well. That's the other issues. The games are
(01:04:30):
so damn expensive. You actually want to buy GameCube games
like Pokemon XT. I mean I sold mine for like
one hundred and sixty quid. Way, yeah, and that was
about the instructions as well, just the box.
Speaker 4 (01:04:45):
What was that game we saw in c X recently, guy?
That was like super expensive and I was like, why
it's really it might have just been on P four
it was Godzilla, but why is that.
Speaker 3 (01:05:00):
A limited run of it? It's like that, you know,
there's hardly any of them, and it's just that's all
that makes it. I don't think it's a good game
in any any stretch in the imagination. I think it's
probably a ship game, but it's Yeah, it had not
many releases and it came out on PS three and PSOL,
which really surprised me because it's such a game that
(01:05:21):
does anyone really care about God's in it that much
to even buy that game? I don't know. It seems
like a weird thing to I understand the concept of
that game may be quite fun if you can go
around destroying stuff as a huge monster, but is anything
else to that? I don't know. Mental, Yeah, it's about
I think the PlayStation on goes about one hundred and
(01:05:43):
sixty odd hundred maybe two hundred, and I think PS
four goes through more than that. It's just mental mental price.
Speaker 4 (01:05:54):
There's a few details on the switch to here, like
two hundred and fifty six gabytes of internal storage. See
no idea if that's a lot or not, because we
don't know how many the games are. But it's a thing.
Two USB seaports, which is quite nice one of the
bottom on the top, improved sound generally.
Speaker 3 (01:06:13):
Seen one of the bottom though, Is that not just
for the dock? Well?
Speaker 4 (01:06:18):
I assume, Well the DOC will have its own ports anyway, right,
so I guess so, yeah, I guess maybe it's I mean,
the current USB seaport on the switch isn't just for
the dock because you could plug things like a microphone
into that when you are in portable mode. Yeah so,
but now you have too, I guess so gives you
(01:06:40):
some more options.
Speaker 2 (01:06:40):
Which I've also seen something about the new switch to
you know, have you know? The fact is when you
take screenshots on the PlayStation five, it goes to your
phone as another there's another viewing window. Well you can
do that on the switch to screenshot. Some videos you
(01:07:00):
take on your Ownintendo switch to will instantly appear on
the Nintendo Switch app on your phone like a PS
five does.
Speaker 4 (01:07:10):
Interesting.
Speaker 3 (01:07:10):
I mean, that's like cool feature, you know in a way,
like new videos and stuff like that. I mean for
making tiktoks.
Speaker 2 (01:07:20):
It took me a while to download the video I
made where I got a hole in one on switch Sports.
That took a while, so that be cool.
Speaker 4 (01:07:30):
I remember spending I remember spending great difficulty trying to
get a video recording from my switch light to my
computer of me catching you two in Pokemon Let's Go Ev,
which was of course add Ro's copy of the game
that I was borrowed.
Speaker 2 (01:07:54):
Well no, no, but funny enough where he was over
one they spend the night and I woke up to
him just there on on my switch playing Let's Go Evie.
Speaker 4 (01:08:08):
I think I was on my switch.
Speaker 2 (01:08:09):
No, you're on mine.
Speaker 4 (01:08:11):
That's weird.
Speaker 3 (01:08:12):
You may have been before, because you definitely had.
Speaker 4 (01:08:18):
I'm pretty sure it was after I got my because
that's why I was interested, because.
Speaker 2 (01:08:21):
It was before you had one, because you were using mine.
Speaker 4 (01:08:24):
Yeah, but I probably would have brought it anyway, because
I wasn't if I was going around you, I wouldn't
bring a switch anyway because I'm probably not actually gonna
play it. But I ended up playing it, So you're
because I wanted to get I wanted to transfer like
Pokemon from Let's Go ev and the Pokemon go of course,
(01:08:46):
that's what I wanted to do, even even I even
I mentioned this on stream the other day, how I
did a Pokemon tournament for singles gameplay, and I remember
I specifically got a chance. This was in Sword and Shield,
but I specifically got a chancy from Let's Go ev
(01:09:10):
copied it through the Sword and Shield via Pokemon Home
because you that way, you could carry through a move
that you couldn't give it in Sword and Shield. You
could only have it if you've imported it with that
move from Let's Go Evie. So so I actually hunted
chances in some cave until I found one with the
(01:09:30):
move and took it through the sword and shield and
used it with the salt of the sole purpose of
trying to surprise the league admin there, who's like pretty
good at Pokemon battling. And I bet you wouldn't expect
me to bring out that move because he would probably
know what you can you can and can't have. You know,
it's that type of person. And I was gonna do
this random well, I can't remember what move it was.
(01:09:52):
It wasn't like good. It was something like a U
turn but not quite. I don't know. I just wanted
something that he may not expect. All that effort, I
got a lot of use out of Let's go Evie.
Speaker 3 (01:10:07):
Yeah, they work the games like you know, like good Nintendo.
Speaker 2 (01:10:13):
Think I just gave it.
Speaker 4 (01:10:16):
No, you have it, you have it.
Speaker 2 (01:10:18):
I never kept it mine anywhere.
Speaker 3 (01:10:21):
Well you've lost I.
Speaker 2 (01:10:24):
Swear I gave it to you, because you can.
Speaker 4 (01:10:26):
Just know I gave it back to you after quite
some time.
Speaker 3 (01:10:30):
I definitely no way.
Speaker 4 (01:10:34):
Yeah, it's not it's expensive games, I mean true.
Speaker 3 (01:10:42):
Yeah, it clings onto that nostalgia that people have for
the original games. You know, it's it's cool.
Speaker 4 (01:10:48):
I'm look, there's who just started with with Sword and
Shield and they're going and playing Let's go. EV think
this is boring. I want to go back to Shield Man.
It's also so dumb. EV is so dumb. Let's let's
go ones that are so dumb down anyway though, right like, yeah, yeah,
a Pokemon or you don't you don't fight wild Pokemon,
(01:11:11):
I should say no.
Speaker 3 (01:11:12):
I mean that is one of the issues is obviously
Pokemon go esque, you know, the whole point. It's a
little shame. But a part of that is it's nic
just to have a amazing like people are shifting on
like the Shining Diamond and Brilliant or what is it
called Brilliant and called a fellows called Brilliant Pearl, which
just stupid namething.
Speaker 4 (01:11:34):
Else I can't put my finger.
Speaker 3 (01:11:35):
Yeah, I don't think it's cool that it's definitely Shining Diamond.
I actually have the game. I can't what it's called.
I have the Pearl one like that was really cool
because that I played the Sino one so much, like
they were like huge when it came out with DS
originally they were amazing. So when I came out, I
was like, I just love it because it's like nostalgia again.
You know, you get to think back to when times
(01:11:57):
were inevitably better, and it's just like so much. It's
similar but it's not the same, but it's similar enough
that you get the you know, the kick out. It's
just good, good stuff.
Speaker 4 (01:12:16):
Any more details here. Interestingly, it shows me here that
it's the same width as the switch, but it's clearly not.
But I guess I mean the thickness, not the width,
because it's it's definitely wider, like it's it's bigger, which
I'm not.
Speaker 3 (01:12:33):
Sure if you get too if you get too long course,
it's going to point where it's actually becoming harder to
use that you don't once huge, do you.
Speaker 4 (01:12:45):
That's why I like the light as a portable cons
of the light is exactly the right side. I think.
Speaker 2 (01:12:50):
Does it come with the dock or is it gonna
be dogs?
Speaker 4 (01:12:53):
Oh yeah, yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:12:55):
The dock set is one hundred and nine dollars. What
was a dock set?
Speaker 4 (01:13:00):
Well, if you buy it in the dock, probably it
doesn't work, or maybe just want to I want in
each room or something.
Speaker 3 (01:13:09):
Definitely it would be a travesty if they don't. If
they charge it for that as well, it would be
like it'd just be so expensive ridiculous.
Speaker 4 (01:13:18):
The doc does look beefy though, which I think is
powering things like the four K support and HDR and
all this. There's actually a fan in the dock now.
I think it's cooling the switch through the dock. Yeah,
so that's pretty neat. It's a beefy thing now, so
no wonder it costs quite a bit on its own
because it's like it's no longer a bit of plastic
(01:13:41):
with the USB poor at the bottom. Like this is
a bit beefy now, So that's the thing.
Speaker 2 (01:13:46):
I don't know if this is right, But how would
you feel if the if you buy the physical game
cartridge that the game culture doesn't contain the whole game
and it's just the key for you to play it.
Speaker 4 (01:13:57):
Yeah, I think, I think yeah. And now but are
they but there are those actually a cartridge or are
they just a code in.
Speaker 3 (01:14:05):
A Yeah, it's a piece of basically.
Speaker 4 (01:14:11):
So now, and I think this is relatively lower cost
shovel WHEB type games. It wouldn't probably be the big ones,
but you can they now, are they are a cartridge,
but it's just a download and the cartridge has to
be in to use it. So that's how you a
game on a card through. Yeah, I mean it's quite
(01:14:35):
interesting because with the way the code ones work, once
you've redeemed the code, it's in your your account forever, right.
But you could sell one of these cartridges on even
though there's nothing on the cartridge, just the digital license,
So like the virtual cartridges were talked about earlier. That's
actually kind of neat because it means while it is
a digital game, you can actually trade that in and
(01:14:58):
sell it or lend it or whatever is with that.
Speaker 3 (01:15:01):
Though with that you have would you have to leave
off your switch?
Speaker 4 (01:15:06):
Well yeah, well you can only play it with the
cartridge inserted as if it were a cartridge game, So yeah,
you have to put it in.
Speaker 3 (01:15:15):
Anything's better than a bloody what you called a code
in a box. Yeah, it's a bit ridiculous. I understand
that there's limitations games on there, but it's a bit
like a whole point again of switches. I want the cartridge,
I want, you know, I want to be able to
put the game in there. I want to be able
to put my collection of cartridges. I don't want a
(01:15:36):
super code in the box, you know. Yeah, sucks a bit,
but still, well it's a step forward away for them
if they're doing that.
Speaker 4 (01:15:45):
So it will support micro SD express cards. This means
that regular micro SD cards for the switch will not
be compatible. Okay, I think that's kind of a night
but yeah, I guess. I guess it will be faster
with the ones, which will be important to loading and
(01:16:07):
running things off the storage, So I guess I get it.
Uh yeah, there's a pro controller that looks like a
pro controller of the deep is still in the wrong place,
which is unfortunate, same as the Xbox. Okay, yeah, and
(01:16:29):
switched pro controller, I guess, but you know, I don't
like that. That's why I have an eight bit of one,
which I kind of has passed his prime now anyway.
But it's got it's got what's it called PlayStation style layout, So.
Speaker 3 (01:16:44):
I like that PlayStation like controller is is just finesse.
I do. I totally understand people loving the Xbox and
the Xbox one controller in those ones because they are
quite good and they do think and oh PlayStation five control.
(01:17:05):
You know, it's just.
Speaker 2 (01:17:07):
Apparently Japan is getting two versions of the switch to.
There's going to be a Nintendo Switch to Japanese language
system Japan only, and there's Nintendo switch To Multi language system.
So there's two versions, the multi language one the.
Speaker 4 (01:17:28):
Rest of the world.
Speaker 3 (01:17:29):
Yeah, just getting their own.
Speaker 4 (01:17:32):
I guess I don't really know why it has to
be a whole different thing, but like I guess, I
guess it does good old Japan.
Speaker 3 (01:17:39):
That's very very strange.
Speaker 4 (01:17:42):
You think here is I think called game share this
This reminds me of like PSP type network. I think
one switch to? Is this even switched to specific?
Speaker 3 (01:17:59):
Well?
Speaker 4 (01:17:59):
Yeah, I think I think you over local wireless ad?
Howk your favorite thing? A switch to can share a
game two at most or at least three other switches,
including switch ones. Like the picture shows a switch and
a switch light and they're playing the set card game
(01:18:22):
of some description that looks like a rip off a Vuno.
Actually I don't know. So, yeah, that's kind of neat
local game sharing, which feels like it feels like something
you try to do on your PSP on a school
trip on the bus and it just wouldn't work for
like twenty minutes. You give up. You just listen to
(01:18:42):
your iPod and instead blash. Yeah, I think that's basically
everything that they talked about. Anything else you guys want
to add on the switch to.
Speaker 3 (01:19:02):
I mean, not anything else that hasn't announced wise, we
don't really know much of course. Like like I said earlier,
it's the games that are my The main concern for
me is still the lack, and we went through the
games are coming out, and I have got a load
of switch games anyway, But then it's like, what do
I sell? I mean, it might as well sell my switch,
(01:19:25):
haven't I really like, just what's the point of having
the original switch and the switch to mus We'll sell
that switch and use some of the money to buy
the switch too, because it just does seem a bit
like it's a bit inferior now and there's not really
like a pay US four.
Speaker 2 (01:19:39):
I guess, I guess trying to keep it for this
system transfer when you want to transfer your safe data
digital games anymore.
Speaker 3 (01:19:46):
Yeah, but I don't care about that really. There's not
really anything on there that I'm gonna need the same
day for Like.
Speaker 4 (01:19:55):
You're not get fall up to your shiny Pokemon.
Speaker 3 (01:20:00):
I have like another those No, no, no, not in the
actual game. I have a shiny at Zuri or whatever.
It's in scarlet violet. They even have, I don't care.
Speaker 6 (01:20:15):
So you need to at least transfer it to Pokemon
Home with a paid subscription so that you can then
transfer it into Pokemon titles when they add support for
Pokemon Home.
Speaker 3 (01:20:26):
And yeah, I don't want to do that. So there's
not really anything on there. I okay, enough, like really
like even I guess Animal Crossing maybe, but then I'm like, well,
I never played that, so it took a long time
to get where I was. Animal Crossing. I've done a
lot to my island, but the last time I played
it was probably also, you know, twenty.
Speaker 2 (01:20:47):
Twenty, So the last time I played Animal Crossing was
on the DS.
Speaker 3 (01:20:55):
Yeah, because you were who never paid.
Speaker 2 (01:20:59):
The game was on the d S and then got
a switch for the Pokemon games and never played.
Speaker 1 (01:21:03):
Any other.
Speaker 3 (01:21:06):
Played anything on your.
Speaker 2 (01:21:08):
Well, I played what Marricot sports sports, what Little Busters.
Speaker 3 (01:21:18):
It's not what you're talking about.
Speaker 2 (01:21:23):
Well that's baseball.
Speaker 3 (01:21:25):
Mm hmm, Well that's baseball.
Speaker 2 (01:21:27):
That's baseball. You just sat down and said that.
Speaker 4 (01:21:34):
What you just sat down and said that's a baseball.
Speaker 2 (01:21:43):
I was making a family guy reference to you just
sat down and said that's my plan.
Speaker 4 (01:21:47):
I thought you said that's a baseball.
Speaker 2 (01:21:49):
Yeah, but I teached you a baseball. Such a said
that's a baseball.
Speaker 4 (01:21:55):
Well we had a combination.
Speaker 2 (01:21:57):
But you like a baseball, don't. You made the baseball
little bus already I did win that. I didn't yet.
I'm so bad. They keep bouncing the ball off and
hitting things.
Speaker 3 (01:22:15):
Right.
Speaker 4 (01:22:16):
Do we want to talk about some of our specific
topics or do you questions? We are in the sort
of end.
Speaker 2 (01:22:29):
We'll just do the question.
Speaker 3 (01:22:32):
Yeah, we can just two questions. It's gone. We've been
talking about NTENDO for too long to.
Speaker 4 (01:22:41):
It has been and it has served that purpose very well. Indeed, Uh,
the questions what were we saying we're going to do?
Speaker 2 (01:22:49):
I can work from the topic.
Speaker 4 (01:22:52):
Did you all meet Gregg's Gregs face?
Speaker 3 (01:23:00):
Gregs? We've corractually been even been around like when we.
Speaker 4 (01:23:05):
Would have been around. But you're not really wait, we're
not not here.
Speaker 2 (01:23:10):
Hang on, I don't think it was.
Speaker 4 (01:23:14):
Well not yeah, okay, when did it start? Nineteen fifty one?
Speaker 2 (01:23:18):
So yeah, okay, fair enough.
Speaker 4 (01:23:21):
It was definitely not as widespread as it is now.
Speaker 2 (01:23:24):
Especially down in nineteen thirty nine.
Speaker 4 (01:23:28):
And it started up north and then came down as
it grew so like, and we are relatively south sour, South, yes, sour,
the opposite of north. No.
Speaker 2 (01:23:43):
But the actual, the actual answer that question is school.
Speaker 3 (01:23:48):
We all met.
Speaker 2 (01:23:50):
I met Guy first. I met Guy first in the kindergarten.
Shocker reception, still reception, that's kindergarten. I didn't call it, well,
I just easier, even though you.
Speaker 7 (01:24:11):
Hard sure.
Speaker 4 (01:24:13):
It's not even American, it's German.
Speaker 2 (01:24:18):
Well, I after what I barely even year one, and
I disappeared off to Belgium, So yeah, I will pick
up some other words.
Speaker 4 (01:24:27):
You mean first grade?
Speaker 2 (01:24:29):
Yeah there, Yeah, Then I moved to Belgium for most
of my school life and childhood. Came back. What was
it year five? Would that be called grade five? Grade five?
Speaker 4 (01:24:44):
I don't understand in the grade neither do I.
Speaker 2 (01:24:49):
And then I went to another school and I met
Rescuer there. Guy didn't go to that school.
Speaker 4 (01:24:57):
It was just a year five. You transfer, You were
the transfer, You were the mysterious transfer student.
Speaker 2 (01:25:04):
Yes, they've never seen a half elf before.
Speaker 4 (01:25:08):
I knew you. Before I knew you though, because I
remember the man that will only be named is triangle
Head he would talk about you like he considered you
like his best friend back.
Speaker 2 (01:25:22):
Then before before he left.
Speaker 4 (01:25:26):
Yeah, yeah, so he always actually mentioned you the same
and then suddenly you turned up the same coat.
Speaker 2 (01:25:33):
Yeah, we had this weird like yellow, red and yellow
kind of raincoat, and we both had the same one.
We read a lot of same things as well. It
was kind of cool. Yeah, and then I met you,
and then I met all the other ones, and then
uh yeah, then we went to the same high school afterwards, high.
Speaker 3 (01:25:55):
School, comprehensive school, the academy. It is now an academy.
It wasn't. That's yeah, I think, well, what was that?
I mean when I would have met you originally it
would have been I think how long ago that was,
(01:26:17):
I mean two thousand and two thousand, Yeah, yeah, yeah,
like because it would have been.
Speaker 2 (01:26:28):
Twenty twenty, twenty six years ago.
Speaker 4 (01:26:34):
Oh my god, we're not even twenty six years old yet, right.
Speaker 2 (01:26:40):
Yeah, well human years now years, I'm way past that.
Speaker 4 (01:26:46):
Yeah, I happened to be one million. That's a bit
I haven't done in a while. The idea that rescue
is like one million and one years old or some ship.
How convenient. That is quite Good's quite Perfu and me
and you guy would have been the least long relationship
(01:27:07):
here because that would have been because even though we
went to the same school, I definitely would have talked
to you for a long time. You were just I
heard of you, though I heard of you as well before.
Speaker 2 (01:27:19):
He was the cool guy, the one we will only
call bean.
Speaker 4 (01:27:24):
He told me that if ever I wanted to borrow
a video game, because you know, back then it was
all physical, right, if everyone wanted to borrow a video game,
guy sure is the one to to talk to. He
has every game, is what I was told.
Speaker 3 (01:27:46):
I didn't have every game. I had a lot of games,
like just collecting two games. I just had so many
at one point it is unreal. But I don't think
I've got any now, which is a bit sad. I
think all of my PlayStation two games. But yeah, it's
definitely a time where I just went crazy and just game.
Speaker 4 (01:28:11):
Yes, well that been. When would I actually have actually
talked to you, It would be music room era. Was
that year nine or two thousands each other for years
seven onwards enough. Definitely I was the middle man separately.
Speaker 3 (01:28:35):
We were different groups.
Speaker 4 (01:28:39):
It was triangle Head that went between and then and
then triangle ahead is what brought us together later on
in the school life in the music room, and what
we would do for context is that we'd hoped me
up in the teacher of the music room would let
us like use it during breaks, not just us, but
like the entire Yeah, and then like we've watched YouTube
(01:29:03):
poops on the school computers. Really cool.
Speaker 2 (01:29:10):
Did you hang out before after I transferred to another school.
Speaker 4 (01:29:16):
After Yeah, you weren't even there then.
Speaker 2 (01:29:22):
Every year nine Christmas.
Speaker 3 (01:29:25):
Yeah, we all were much happier.
Speaker 2 (01:29:27):
I mean I had to transfer to the Royal Academy.
I'm sorry for much longer.
Speaker 3 (01:29:37):
It is much better experience, but ye know, it's been
it's been a very long time. We've known, like somehow
it's all sort of connected as well with each other.
Speaker 2 (01:29:48):
And we're still here. We're still here, like when you
hear the stories where people, yeah, back in school, you're
going to grow up to be a talking animation on
the screen. Yeah, and here we are.
Speaker 3 (01:30:06):
Ah.
Speaker 4 (01:30:09):
Yes, asked that question, sorry right by Riley. Riley also
had another question earlier which got banned Buddy water Butt
and I will actually mention.
Speaker 2 (01:30:20):
And I thought they put like a web link in there.
Speaker 4 (01:30:23):
Well, it's because they did like one dot and then
the question which makes a link because there's an Unfortunately
I've lost actually the full message because I could see
it and I can't because I refreshed, however, but it
basically it was how likely are you to buy the
switch to? We already it was like one, like a
(01:30:43):
one to five rating four for five being the highest
I guess on your scale. Yeah, uh yeah, I thought
I felt like I feel like right now the three,
but like, honestly, it would just become it become a
five around time. There's something really a red flag with it.
Speaker 2 (01:31:04):
The whole reason why IEVER upgraded my switch one to
begin with to any of the other like in between ers,
including the new battery or whatever, because the new switch
was going to come out. So now it's coming out,
I can't just hum and horr about it kind of
I wait for like the switch three.
Speaker 3 (01:31:21):
I'd either get the switch to or you don't get it.
I mean, you wait till the next like thing I
really want. But I think it will be hyped enough
by the time it gets By the time it gets
to the end of May, I think it's going to
be so hyped that people are just going to be
jump whole new generation.
Speaker 2 (01:31:38):
So it's like there is no like you don't have
to not get it kind of thing because it's like
a whole new thing. It's like the PS.
Speaker 3 (01:31:47):
I think it will be a case of though, and
I think it will be the same with the like
the PS five, maybe not as bad. I don't think
it'll be definitely no one as bad as PS five,
but I think it will be a case of like
it will sell out he quickly it is. The original
Switch was like fantastic, so I think people will be
jumping on this.
Speaker 2 (01:32:08):
Yeah, Like there'll be no rush for me to like
go and re order it or buy it. If I
when I end up wanting to buy it and it's there,
I'll buy it. If not, I'll then have to wait
until I can.
Speaker 4 (01:32:24):
I think at the end of the day, if there's
nothing want to play on it, Like when the last
time you played it a Switch game or bought a
new Switch game, It's probably a long time ago, right,
Like you might as if you don't really want to
play Donkey Kong in July or even the Pokemon game
come later in the year, like you don't need to
does something you actually want to.
Speaker 3 (01:32:44):
Play on it. Yeah, that's all I'll be doing.
Speaker 2 (01:32:49):
Guys, going to stream some GameCube games.
Speaker 3 (01:32:53):
No, I'm just going to play them.
Speaker 2 (01:32:58):
Before our read this other question from Riley, which is,
if you could describe yourself in the form of any
anime character, who would you be?
Speaker 4 (01:33:08):
Rescer think about it earlier, I mean, yeahs anime basically.
Speaker 2 (01:33:16):
Wait what no?
Speaker 3 (01:33:17):
I was?
Speaker 2 (01:33:22):
If you haven't told, have you got If you haven't,
guys noticed that I've been ill for a long time.
I'm better, but I'm still like the voice is gone,
the coughs start, so yeah, that's why I'm like this.
But go on, escar.
Speaker 3 (01:33:41):
H.
Speaker 4 (01:33:41):
This is a halbum for me. I'm not sure, you know,
if if I had, if I had a lot of
anime so like fresh in my head, and maybe I
could give a better answer to this. But I'm going
to go with the guy in Overtake who is the
teammate of the well originally the teammate of the like
(01:34:01):
blonde haired one. You know that all the girls like, oh,
the guy who's always annoyed, he's always second, and he's
focusing so hard on all this. I mean not maybe
I'm that focused on this stuff, but like he's focused
on all the technical aspects trying to improve, but like
this guy just shows up and beats him. Uh, yeah,
(01:34:24):
I can relate to that guy.
Speaker 2 (01:34:25):
I thought, you're the guy that tries and beats everyone else.
Speaker 4 (01:34:29):
God no, I suck.
Speaker 2 (01:34:33):
Okay, Well I can see that because yeah, he was
very like looking at times and checking the car himself
and kind of thing. So I can see that because
I have seen the anime overtake, so like, yeah, I
can see that. What about you a guy?
Speaker 3 (01:34:48):
Oh, I mean I have I mean I can't even
even thinking about, like having not that much time to
but I really just can't think of any even an anime.
I can't even think of one. That is the issue.
I don't know, because it's like, is it going to
be like someone that I think reminds me of myself?
(01:35:11):
Or is it like someone I aspire to.
Speaker 2 (01:35:14):
Be reminds you of yourself?
Speaker 3 (01:35:16):
So yeah, it's not really I mean, I don't know.
It's a too open question because it's not really a
character I resonate with very well in any anime that
I've really seen.
Speaker 2 (01:35:32):
Who's the guy from Angel? He's the big guy who
like shrinks himself after Well.
Speaker 4 (01:35:39):
Yeah, do you go on that training course in the
mountains one time?
Speaker 3 (01:35:47):
I should do that. I should do my training course. No,
I don't know. I mean it's it's a difficult one.
I could easily say like a Jojo character, but that's
simply because that's not my favorite things. So I could
say that, you know, I could be like, yeah, that's true.
I could be. I could could be. It's very much
(01:36:09):
like me. I could be Iggy, you know, the dog.
Speaker 4 (01:36:16):
Could be the train from that one ending sequence.
Speaker 2 (01:36:20):
Nah, he's the hat plant.
Speaker 4 (01:36:25):
You are the mark.
Speaker 3 (01:36:27):
I could just be the mask. I don't know, like that, yeah,
because from there, like, who's you picking Jojo because you
don't want to be like the narcissistic, like horrendous human being. Well,
there's no way you don't e like it. Jonathans sucks
like Joseph's cool, but it's like I'm not like, I'm
not like Joseph, not like his character. No, I don't know.
(01:36:50):
I feel like.
Speaker 2 (01:36:51):
You're built like a JoJo's character in real life.
Speaker 3 (01:36:54):
So the fine as them, but.
Speaker 4 (01:37:00):
Well you're not going to have the thick line up
in real life.
Speaker 2 (01:37:06):
People can people? Do you do the body art of it?
And it looks really good. Maybe we should.
Speaker 3 (01:37:13):
In all fairness, I could just get then then.
Speaker 4 (01:37:16):
You wouldn't even need to go to the Jew anymore.
Speaker 2 (01:37:18):
Just do a jojo put.
Speaker 4 (01:37:24):
But I mean we do that in the club anyway.
Speaker 3 (01:37:26):
I was going to say, like when you first mentioned
the question, I can't remember which way it is because
I can't remember. The show has been so long and
rescuably angry. I feel like I feel in some way
like not because like thing, but in a way that
because they're quite a basic person and like they have
(01:37:48):
ship in their life. But it's not like I don't
have the same ship, but like someone like from Klano
like almost.
Speaker 4 (01:37:57):
Yeah, Tomorrow's actually really good. I think a lot of
people can see an element of themselves, and to be fair.
Speaker 3 (01:38:03):
I think like not so much planet, but after the
story more so. I mean, I yeah, situation they have,
but like as more of an adult, it's more of
like the trouble times, I guess, And it's sort of
I don't know, everyone has trouble times of course, And
it's that thing of you know, you're not a protagon,
(01:38:24):
you're not like a main character, like you're not a
jojo character.
Speaker 7 (01:38:27):
Basically, you're not like, yeah, well I want and then
your own story might not be you know, traveling across
the world to go get the stone masks.
Speaker 4 (01:38:39):
I don't know, like when when klann Of got into
After Story and Tomorrow After actually is really good for
this as well, potentially even more so, it becomes Tomoryo
goes from like being seemingly somewhat not popular, he's got
a bit of a reputation because he's a delinquent at least,
he goes to being nobody doing a job and that
(01:39:03):
that's life now. It's kind of real as one of
the most real, uh, parts of any anime I think
I've really seen, is that little portion of After Story
where he's he's working with what was the guy's name,
and he's trying to learn how to be an anutrition
or something, and it's just it's such a shift from
(01:39:26):
the earlier part of the show Planet Now, but.
Speaker 3 (01:39:34):
It's like it's not it's what I guess, it's an
unassuming life, like you don't need to and it's probably
lesson I suppose in a way that you don't need
to have a life that is like a protagonist of
any kind of media, you know, to have an actual
enjoyable life. It doesn't need to be to the point
where you know, I mean, I would say, sure, he's
(01:39:54):
do stuff in life that you like, but you know,
in a way, the mundane and the sort of every
day can sometimes be just as fun as what these
you know, protagonists are doing. In Jojo, I wouldn't say,
Joe it was fun. I actually think, like I'd hate
that world, Like it's a horrible world. Why do you
ever want to be part of that? You know? Yeah,
I think that's that's my answer. I think I can't
(01:40:17):
really think anything else, So I think I say that.
Speaker 4 (01:40:22):
Cool.
Speaker 2 (01:40:26):
I was just kidding.
Speaker 4 (01:40:27):
I don't know. Yeah, so long on that I forgot.
Speaker 2 (01:40:31):
Yeah, I was trying to. I didn't want to butt in,
but like I was trying to like segue into it.
I think there's going to be two for mine, Like,
uh I just because obviously like how you know, like
how I am with my Like what's the word, Like
how I am as a person you guys know aboutside
of human stuff?
Speaker 3 (01:40:50):
Horrible?
Speaker 2 (01:40:51):
I think mine is the fact is when I do implode,
I don't hide in a cardboard box. I do other things.
But I feel like my character, my character kind of
resembles you from but the Rock just.
Speaker 4 (01:41:07):
Everyone says that nowadays everyone she you don't know them,
you haven't seen the Rock.
Speaker 2 (01:41:16):
You guys can see that, right, I'm not like.
Speaker 4 (01:41:21):
They're just they're like, I really, I mean you do
not really like but like I see what you mean. Yeah,
she's like a super introverted character and like basically struggles
to communicate effectively.
Speaker 2 (01:41:34):
Maybe it is the autistic things she shows is kind
of like similar to mine. I just don't like implode
as much as she does because obviously, yeah, I mean.
Speaker 4 (01:41:49):
She is, but she is an exaggerated character, I think,
but it's a cartoon.
Speaker 2 (01:41:54):
Some tendency she does is similar all that. Yeah, yeah,
so that would be mine. And obviously there's the other
character for who also similar, which is the guy from
given but I forgot his name given, Yes a gibbon. Yeah,
(01:42:17):
well he's uh he's orange hair. That's a a ranger
time but.
Speaker 3 (01:42:22):
Uh yeah, yeah. I think what I've learned from this
is really we should rewatch plan.
Speaker 2 (01:42:34):
Well speaking speak speaking of I need to actually open
it out of the switch box and play it, so
that might be a stream for me.
Speaker 4 (01:42:45):
I can't it.
Speaker 3 (01:42:46):
I'm going to pick I need to really desperately need
to play it. But now it's on PlayStation have.
Speaker 2 (01:42:52):
To wait for well it is was been on Plaation
PlayStation four, but obviously it's had themselves still like still
thirty four. That's thirty four.
Speaker 3 (01:43:06):
Expensive, Like it's incredibly expensive.
Speaker 2 (01:43:09):
It's all about trophies. I got my fourteenth platinum a
couple of days ago.
Speaker 3 (01:43:15):
Oh, did you want to get what was.
Speaker 2 (01:43:17):
On Assassin's Creede two?
Speaker 3 (01:43:20):
I should have guessed it was, but I found it was.
Speaker 2 (01:43:26):
It was surprisingly easy what I thought, because obviously, like
the hardest ones are like trying to like uh, assassinate
fight without losing like any health, like actually be like
in a brawl for like a long time not lose health.
And then the other one was like sweep five people
with the stick and that was just because you get
(01:43:49):
three of them, even though they were like all huddled
together and all that. Yeah, remember they found a way
to do the with because obviously you had like ten
you have to have ten people, and you've got to
like kill them before they before you even get hit once.
And some people's way of doing it, which I did
it as well, is you throw down smoke, make them
(01:44:11):
all calm and then just assassinate them all and it counts.
Speaker 3 (01:44:16):
So yeah, I think I did that.
Speaker 2 (01:44:17):
I did that.
Speaker 3 (01:44:18):
But to be honest, I find the combat like I
find it to be quite easy because I just hold
down the counter, but we'll wait until someone's going to
hit you counter.
Speaker 2 (01:44:26):
I think the counter easier on Brotherhood than number two,
like the The only difficult is you have to try
and do you have to do that same thing again,
but you have to like do where you're not breaking
a counter and you've got to count, Like once you
counter with one, you can attack each one. If you
(01:44:47):
don't get hit, you continue on the animation. But it's
hard because obviously you have to like they'll sometimes pick
you up and all that. So yeah, I'm still learning
that one.
Speaker 3 (01:44:58):
Such as so good like those like the Trilogy of Games.
It's it's fantastic, isn't it.
Speaker 2 (01:45:06):
He's the cool character.
Speaker 3 (01:45:08):
He is great. But you know they do have something
I like Edward.
Speaker 2 (01:45:11):
Ken And yeah, apparently a lot of people say that one,
but I haven't played that at all. Black Flags in
a remake?
Speaker 3 (01:45:22):
Why because it's a brilliant game. You never played the campaign,
you are?
Speaker 4 (01:45:30):
I did play the campaign and that's why. That's why
I stopped. Yeah, I hated the campaign.
Speaker 3 (01:45:36):
It's like basically on the best set, like a part
of my odity is like the second amount is the
best Assassin's Creed like place, like the map everything being Greece.
It's fantastic. But I love Black Flags. I love the area.
You know, it's like sort of so to be the
sort of caribbean esque.
Speaker 2 (01:45:56):
Or grease one during the spartan ear right, I don't know.
Speaker 3 (01:46:03):
I mean it is set. It's the in if you
played them in order of in order of like when
it's set, then that is the first one you play
because it's like before all the others. It's a two
hundred something BC I think.
Speaker 2 (01:46:17):
But people still to play it the other way, so
you should go back in time it anyway.
Speaker 3 (01:46:23):
Yeah, I wouldn't play it that way. It'd be weird.
Speaker 2 (01:46:25):
I'm still I really want to get says creat Shadows,
but I'm still trying to like play through all the
ones they haven't played yet before there's no point.
Speaker 3 (01:46:34):
Yeah, there's no point getting into because they'll go down
in price, So you might wait until you've done all
the other games you're going to play, and then by
then it's probably gone down slightly. I do actually want
to get it in all fair, it's like I mean,
I sort of I think the last time streaming a
slagging off, I feel like I've slagging off of it.
But I do actually want it because I play all
of them. But Mirage was so bad for someone that's
(01:46:56):
loved every game. Basically, Mirage is so bad you put
me off. It's just story is rubbish. I skipped most
of it I possibly could, like I didn't want to
do anything else. It's shorter than the normal mainline ones
because it was technically like supposed to be like a
DLC for Valhalla. But it's just like it's an origin
(01:47:17):
story basically of someone who's in Valhalla. But it's just
like the setting is it looks nice because it's you know,
it looks it looks cool, it looks like, you know,
it's supposed to be. I don't know if it's not Truthalem.
It's just like Baghdads, like you know, it's a sort
of a rack around area. Yeah, but it's it looks nice.
(01:47:40):
But it's just like everything from the Trophy. I don't
know why, even the Plan Trophy, because it was just
more of a pain, more of a nuisance. And actually
I got to like the last couple of trophies, and
I'm so desperate just to finish against never play again.
The same about Halla because I had too much to do. Like,
if you assume you've got to try and go for
the platinum. The other games that you.
Speaker 2 (01:48:01):
Play, yeah, couple, I know I can't. Obviously some of
them are like online stuff. I'll still play it regards
play them, play them up to the new one regardless.
Speaker 3 (01:48:11):
As long as you get the PlayStation four version of
each game, you'll be all right because if you get
the like PS three ones, they have the trophies for online,
whereas the PERS fours because they are obtaining the line
out or it's still working or whatever, you can still
use it. So although Unity I'm not sure.
Speaker 2 (01:48:28):
Yeah, I've been getting like if I do get them,
I've been getting like the newer versions anyway, So even
if I haven't played the older version, I'll still get
the new version. Because the next one on my list
will be after obviously Brotherhood and Revelations, it will be
the Sasaki three rematch. Obviously I haven't played the vision anyway,
so it's going to be the same regardless. Yeah, a
(01:48:49):
lot of people like three.
Speaker 3 (01:48:51):
I think like you'll get to when you get to Halla.
I think most of the games are pretty good. I
think let Down it looks amazing. About Hers, well, once again,
it looks absolutely amazing. But it is the issue again,
and it's probably maybe my issue because I was one
doing it, But it's trying to get the platinum trophy
(01:49:11):
because you have to do everything in the game, and
the stones, the Cairn stones that you have to do
are actually and this is for anything I ever done
on any game, is the most single, most annoying thing
and it actually nearly broke my control trying to do
it because you have to do them and it's so
ridiculously hard. It's just frustrating think about it. I can't
(01:49:36):
talk about it. Skip, let's just send the podcast now
before I kill someone thinking stupid.
Speaker 2 (01:49:42):
Game in a video game?
Speaker 3 (01:49:44):
In a video game?
Speaker 2 (01:49:45):
Yes, anything you want to add rescer like, because I'll
see we're on excessus create tangent. Then for a second, Hey.
Speaker 4 (01:49:54):
I've only played two and four and well a little
bit of See I had to actually look at the
box to remember that game was cool. Yeah, so I
don't like to. I liked too. I listened to Katsu
music while listening to it playing it, and it had
(01:50:15):
a line that goes, it's me Mario. And I very
much enjoyed the game on my Xbox three sixty.
Speaker 2 (01:50:20):
Oh yeah, I did that even when I streamed it.
Like he said the line. He said it, and then
everyone was because obviously it's a me, Myrio.
Speaker 3 (01:50:31):
It's so weird and it gets and then it gets
done in the next game. Spoilers, spoilers a game for
like fifty years or.
Speaker 7 (01:50:40):
Whenever I'm past that anyway, I mean roll, Oh yeah,
that's what's good.
Speaker 2 (01:50:50):
Yeah, And I've got the nice blue outfit Roma Stone.
It's cooled. It's blue. Yeah, so I look cool at
the part. Huh.
Speaker 3 (01:51:01):
Not very Italian as it having blue.
Speaker 2 (01:51:04):
Well, most of the other regions were blue, well, greens
and blues. The other place was red, wine color or
copper color, putting on the region you went to. But
in this one you have the brotherhood. You've got to
what's it, renovate places. You've got to become like your
(01:51:26):
own boss and renovate all these places. Well, sorry, don't worry, right,
I've ruined it for you too, because I've I've continued
playing it without streaming it, so I need so when
I stream it next, I'll be like partly through Brotherhood.
Speaker 3 (01:51:48):
Oops, I mean you know it's not too much. The
story does just.
Speaker 2 (01:51:57):
Yeah, Mario is fine, exactly, It's all good.
Speaker 4 (01:52:02):
If if Mario is fine? Why wasn't there a new
main line three deep platform Mario title announced it Today's
switch to direct Donkey Kong Banan's is odyously three at
this point because Kirby wasn't it.
Speaker 3 (01:52:24):
We don't well that though?
Speaker 2 (01:52:26):
More Mario, Please, I'm going to raid someone?
Speaker 1 (01:52:33):
Yes?
Speaker 2 (01:52:33):
Who should on your list? Or should I just go
for who? I who I'm going to go for?
Speaker 3 (01:52:40):
Who you're going for?
Speaker 4 (01:52:41):
I think you can go for who you are going
to go for.
Speaker 2 (01:52:43):
Let's go for Memmi.
Speaker 4 (01:52:45):
I think I thought I thought it would be Memy yet, but.
Speaker 3 (01:52:52):
I guess while you're doing that, then the intro just
sort of.
Speaker 4 (01:52:59):
Yeah, I think listening to the Wise podcast, feel free
to let us know what you think that sounds.
Speaker 2 (01:53:10):
Actually, because this is the the podcast for wis, it
won't be a Wise raid. It will be a toaster
raid because of the Tachy Toaster Club use bread emojis
(01:53:32):
or our emojis go wild. Yes, next Wise Wednesday would
just be an ordinary wise Wednesday with the game. I
don't know yet what will be, but there will be
in a schedule to and we'll hope to catch you
on any of our other streams, either mine or Rescuers.
Speaker 4 (01:53:53):
