Speaker 1 (00:08):
Hello, and welcome to this week's Where's podcast Takytosa Tray Club.
I don't remember what episode we're on a tool by
the way, it's episode thirteen this time. Yes, it is
my favorite. Welcome, we got another selection of things to
talk about and another year to pick our favorite media
(00:29):
from the year of which is twenty twenty three, the
most recent year of all of the years so far
except for the two that have already happened. Well, yeah,
who was your first on their favorite movie? Well, movie, slash, anime, slash,
(00:49):
TV show and music and game from twenty twenty three.
Speaker 2 (00:56):
I mean I can so, I don't mind, Sure, I
don't mind, sure, regular Okay, I found one. Yeah, I
had a bit of trouble earlier and sorry, and I
probably was in advance for my voice. I'm still recovering
from being ill. But I didn't want to delay the
recording anymore than the guys down. So I've been forced
(01:19):
at a gunpoint.
Speaker 1 (01:20):
And I haven't been forced. I mean, too fair. You
sound fine now. You sounded really bad last week and
we tried to do some recording.
Speaker 2 (01:26):
Yeah, it's you. Probably guys hear something different, but I hear,
I hear the bummed up version of my voice. Then
I guess you guys can hear. I don't know how
that works, but I have been told my voice is
a lot deeper than normal, so I'll roll with that.
Speaker 3 (01:45):
Take.
Speaker 2 (01:46):
I'll take that. But yeah, any great guy you first, sorry.
Speaker 4 (01:51):
About that, so yeah, honestly, well, I guess for twenty
twenty three, I think we will discuss him. Before the
actual podcast went live was it's very difficult to find
anything that one we even played and.
Speaker 3 (02:07):
Two that watched anything like I.
Speaker 4 (02:10):
Somehow, it seems to be a year where I hardly
played anything and I hardly watched anything.
Speaker 3 (02:14):
I don't understand how that happened.
Speaker 4 (02:16):
But first, and we'll start with my game of twenty
twenty three, which is and it's a difficult one because
I forgot that game came out as well. But I'm
going to go and say go with my gut, and
I'm gonna say Final Fantasy sixteen now is. It's a
(02:37):
strange one because it's not my favorite Final Fantacy by
any stretch. But it is a very good, Like the
world's very good. The characters are very good. The voice
acting is really good. Actually, that's one of the things
I love about that game is the voice acting is
like ah, also good man, really good voice actors mean
a lot of them like British as well, which helps.
(03:01):
But that is, yeah, brilliant game. I neither of you
played it, should.
Speaker 1 (03:09):
But yeah, years old already.
Speaker 3 (03:11):
Actually, yeah, that's that's what when when you mentioned today,
it was like yeah, I was like really, Like, I
was like, are you sure?
Speaker 4 (03:18):
Is that you? I mean, I will mention the other
game is going to say, because I know that neither
of you played it, but Spider Man two came out
that year, and like that that is is not as
good as the first one, but that should be. That
should be my game of the year. Really, but I'm not.
Speaker 3 (03:38):
I know that there are also reasing a third one too,
aren't they?
Speaker 4 (03:40):
But not soon but this in the works. I don't
know if the formula is dead. Really, I'm not keen
on the second one, like it as compared to the
first one, which was like so innovative and like it's
time it's brilliant, But I'm.
Speaker 3 (03:55):
Not sure the second one. I wouldn't say to.
Speaker 4 (03:57):
Someone or you must play it like it's the best game,
Like I would say, yes, as seven out of ten.
Speaker 2 (04:02):
It's probably good. Like I only played the first one
and the Mars Rallis side Story one I haven't still
haven't played the same one yet.
Speaker 3 (04:14):
I don't know. I would say play it because especially you,
if you love Spider.
Speaker 2 (04:18):
Man, You're definitely gonna play when I get hold of it.
Speaker 4 (04:20):
But it's like, yeah, it's good, but it's not quite Carling. Yes.
The next thing I was going to say, which actually
is more, way more difficult the film, which I really
it can't tell you now what film I pick. I'm
still looking through them and looking at the top ten
(04:42):
and I'm like, well, haven't even seen the majority of them,
so I'm actually got to pick out of the top
twenty the only film that I've seen. And yeah, so
my twenty twenty three film is Guns and Galaxy Volume three,
which it was far It's good. I like Garnan's Galaxy.
(05:02):
I like the Music's the thing I like about it.
To be honest, I'm not a massive fan of Chris
Pratt anymore, so that sort of takes away a bit.
But I yeah, to be honest with you, it's because
I've been pushed in the corner and I have.
Speaker 3 (05:15):
No Literally, I'll tell you, I don't have. I think
that's the only film.
Speaker 4 (05:20):
I've seen in the first fifty of that year that
are on like IMDb, Like, I literally haven't seen any
other film, and I don't understand how that's even happened,
especially Oppenheimer's that year.
Speaker 3 (05:31):
Man, haven't you seen that? Like why haven't I watched that?
I need to watch that.
Speaker 4 (05:36):
But really, yeah, it was a very difficult year. So
reluctantly I will put that as my favorite film for
the fact and quote me that I've never seen any
other film on it. So we will we say downs
Galaxy Volume three and then the easiest choice, the easiest
choice by far, and you'll all be bored of hearing
(05:58):
me saying about it. But Sleep Token released an album
that year, so I mean pretty obviously I'm going to
choose them because I mean it's just a sleep taken, right, you.
Speaker 3 (06:11):
Know, there's best thing ever.
Speaker 4 (06:12):
But yeah, this taken Back to Eden was the album
twenty three, and actually that the name of the song
taking It to Bad Eden was actually the first song
I ever heard of this.
Speaker 3 (06:23):
And I think it was on TikTok and I think
that's how bad it.
Speaker 4 (06:26):
Is, like literally not like someone like you know, I
don't know if you guys see it, but like there's
people that do like reviews the songs when they come
out like anything.
Speaker 3 (06:36):
It wasn't even that.
Speaker 4 (06:37):
It was like in the background of some stupid video
that had nothing to do with Sleeptoken or anything, and
I was like, Wow, that song, that was pretty cool,
and then I go look it up and I'm like, oh, okay,
it's actually huge.
Speaker 3 (06:49):
At the moment, I had no idea how big. This
thing was completely out of like the metal world at
that point, but that was. Yeah, that was man.
Speaker 4 (06:59):
I think what another album, I would probably say every
song is brilliant on there's a couple that aren't as good,
but it's so good man, it's so like if you
obviously I'm trying to get you to listen to the
new album, but this album is also really really good.
Speaker 3 (07:18):
Like it is, it's got some serious firepower.
Speaker 4 (07:20):
So yeah, easy choice, but I will go with sleep
Tokens take that to Eden, and that is me done.
Speaker 3 (07:28):
Who wants to go next? Rescue? Are you happy to
go next?
Speaker 1 (07:32):
I can do.
Speaker 5 (07:34):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (07:34):
I'm just going to skip over the game part because
I honestly, yeah, I just didn't play anything. I even
looked up to see, Oh, surely, surely Scarlett and Violos,
I found one that you played, really Crash Rumble. Oh God,
probably right.
Speaker 2 (07:53):
I am so far down the list. I'm sorry, Rescuer,
but yeah, you made us well understandably.
Speaker 1 (08:00):
You know now I can deliver some deep wild or
because I felt like hot Shot would be the most
likely to remember this if you were here. But who remembers.
Oh I can't even remember it. But no, it was
like working It was like the working title for Crash
(08:20):
Team Rumble before it was called crusham Rumble, or when
it was rumored one who one plea. Anyway, it became
a bit of a meme that you can piss risk
off just by mentoring one poleague because basically there was
an in the works crash Bandicoot multiplayer game that we
all kind of knew about. It was rumored enough, there
(08:40):
were some assets online. Activision had mentioned it in a
I don't know, earning school or something weird like that,
but like, no, I actually now said a thing or
said anything, and maybe it was canned, maybe it was
still in the works, who knows. Eventually it announced and
it's called Crash Team Rumble, and then it comes out
apparently in twenty twenty three, and I get that game
(09:01):
and I play it, and I rage a bunch, like
it was like ac the I mean, I rage it
racing more than anything.
Speaker 2 (09:11):
Else, but the phobia streams.
Speaker 1 (09:16):
Yeah, I hate that game on the record. In that game,
but Crushing Rumble was like it was sort of like
a mobil but also not because it's like it was
the third person control one character like a normal game character,
but it kind of played like a MOBI. And yeah,
it wasn't that good. I guess it wasn't very popular
(09:36):
and it died very quickly.
Speaker 4 (09:38):
I did enjoy it, like I enjoyed it at the time.
I mean, I've got you know, the p S four
and five platinum.
Speaker 3 (09:44):
That game.
Speaker 2 (09:46):
I didn't like it that.
Speaker 1 (09:47):
Did I get the platinum?
Speaker 3 (09:49):
Huh?
Speaker 1 (09:49):
Did I get the platinum?
Speaker 3 (09:52):
Surely? Surely.
Speaker 1 (09:54):
To go back on Crumble, I made a fair bit,
but not that much really. Once I stopped actively playing it,
I just, yeah, I kind of bothered to do that.
I'm not signing on phone or anything. So yeah, I
played it for a while and then I just didn't
for a little bit and then just never got back
(10:16):
into it. And they quite frankly, I forgot it existed.
I don't even know if the service were or anything.
I say, you know, if it's being updated, it's definitely
not being updated. I think they canceled like the plans
for like new content for it, like after a couple
of seasons or something, because it's.
Speaker 4 (10:32):
It's a shame. I mean, like you had I didn't
play it since like what was it spiring? There wasn't
it or like some sort of spiral.
Speaker 1 (10:40):
Yeah, man, let me let me. Let me be complaining.
Speaker 2 (10:43):
Actually, you pay for the season past, so if they
cut the content, you get the money back.
Speaker 1 (10:50):
Well, number one, I didn't pay for season bus, but
I presume it was like I should presume they finished
the season, but then they didn't. Right, let me get
this right. So Okay, there were apparently three seasons, but
like here, here's what's annoying. Right season one, what characters
(11:10):
do they add? And bear in mind is obviously like
right at the start of the game they add Ripper,
ru and engine. Okay, those are crush characters. Right season two?
What are they add in season two? God? The actual
like image for this is so like busy, this is
Halloween already apparent. I think I'd already stop playing by
season two. Yeah, they add they add Ripto, Yeah, specifically
(11:35):
Rippedo from Spiro, the third DLC character engine, Ripper rou
Ryppto bear in mind, they have female entropy from Crash four,
but not entropy from you know, many other Crash games
including Crash four, they don't add. Like that's the biggest
omission for me is that, like, you have female entropeople,
not entropy, but then you add Rippedo, not even Spiro.
Speaker 6 (12:00):
So it wasn't even in CTR you had you already
made models. Oh you probably everybody the RD style a
bit for Crumble because it's uh crashed for our style,
but like you'd have to you already had models to Spiro.
What was it some of the other characters were in that, I.
Speaker 3 (12:15):
Can't remember that, plenty of characters use it's just.
Speaker 1 (12:21):
And then season three, right, Spiro and Laura from Spiro.
Speaker 6 (12:26):
We've had now had Spiro characters added to the game.
Speaker 1 (12:31):
Then Crash characters added post launch, and that was the
last season. So yeah, wow, wow, damn. Oh there was
some more events that I think they added Spiro here,
Oh no on the run, Oh this is something else, Yeah,
something else. So Yeah, it was just so that that's
(12:52):
all of it. So yeah, that's stupid, right. So yeah,
the game was unfortunately a massive leadown I wanted, you know,
I was tempted to, like, you know, try and make
content out of that game, you know, like you know,
it makes it would make sense for me to do
so as like a separate thing. But I mean the
decision to just stay with racing was made for me
(13:13):
by the game just dying. So yeah, that was way
more than I thought i'd spend on the game.
Speaker 3 (13:19):
Part, yeah or whatever.
Speaker 1 (13:25):
My favorite anime from that year this doesn't come up
on any article, but I did go to SLA Scotland's
anime in twenty twenty three, and I remember a movie
I saw there which I I think I mentioned on
the podcast earlier this year because I got the Blue Ray,
but I got the I watched Blue Giant, which is
an anime based on a manga about a guy that
(13:47):
like goes to Tokyo to pursue becoming a jazz musician.
And as much as I'm not really a jazz fan,
I definitely said this on the podcast RDY as much
as I'm not really a jazz fan, I love the
like stories based on or inspired by jazz. I think
they're really cool. Always they're always like the up and coming,
(14:09):
scrappy character trying to make it big, that sort of thing.
So yeah, I don't know this this movie was really good.
I think the manga starts in this guy's hometown and
then he moves to Tokyo and then it goes beyond there.
But this anime specifically covers just that point of moving
to Tokyo and like up to a certain point. The
(14:32):
animation studio is called NUT. I just want to mention that, no,
no reason. Yes, it's a great movie. Music. Music what
I've probably missed you for that anyway, I don't know
(14:53):
did we already we said anyway something like that. But
this is twenty twenty three, and I'm going to pick
the Hollow twenty seven covers and originals albums. So these albums, right,
(15:13):
it's really specific these. One album is an album of
Deco twenty seven songs of the Vocali producer Deco twenty
seven songs covered by Hollow Live members, and the other
album is original New Decade twenty seven songs performed by
Hollowlive members because they're written for them, so it's like two,
(15:36):
like it's like ten songs on each album. They came
out at the same time. They both called Volume one,
but there was there's never been Volume two. Well oneume
one of the covers and Volume one of the originals.
So e theory, they could be Volume two of each, right,
I don't believe they did one in fact, if they
have a need to go listen to.
Speaker 4 (15:53):
A lot of stuff, but like Volume just for the
intent that maybe there will be another thing and then yeah.
Speaker 1 (16:00):
Yeah, yeah, who knows. But either way, I like that
a twenty seven of music a lot. So the covers
I thought were very good covers, and then the originals
were just like, oh hey, I've got like ten new
songs from this guy. Cool. Obviously most of his songs
are like Miku, but this was just all of Life
members saying it instead, and I don't dislike those people,
(16:21):
so that I listen to the album those albums a lot.
I think. I think that was my entire twenty twenty
three top in Apple Music. Yeah, but twenty twenty two
was all his previous albums.
Speaker 3 (16:32):
That was that.
Speaker 1 (16:33):
That was my typical every time I would drive to
Whales for work during that year, I would stick that on,
and you know I'd end up getting Starbucks during the
same song anyway. So that's all that's gonna be. H.
And that's all three things, isn't I'm done?
Speaker 3 (16:50):
Yeah? Yeah?
Speaker 2 (16:51):
But are you ready? Yes? I'm sure I'm found I
found away, so I'm good. I guess I'll start with
a video game section. I found one in the end
that I did play in twenty twenty three, and I
loved it a lot, and I did play it quite
a bit. I want to. I did get two versions
(17:15):
of it I got. I played the Switch version first
and then I'm going to stream the PS five version,
which I also got. It is Master Detective Archives. Raincode.
The creators of Dangon Rompa made this game. I like it.
It was really good. It's about being a detective in
(17:35):
a town that always was raining.
Speaker 1 (17:39):
M Is that why it's called Raincode?
Speaker 2 (17:41):
Possibly? But so much you would like to talk about
with it, but it will be like massive spoilers because
you have to learn the story as it goes, because
obviously you are a detective trying to figure out what's
going on in this crazy town that's just constantly raining.
Speaker 3 (18:01):
Doesn't mean you want to play Dan Rob at least.
Speaker 2 (18:04):
I well, I've played the first Danger Rob but that's
why I was like, oh cool, the same art style
and blah blah blah. But yeah, I still need to
play Danger Rubber two and the other one.
Speaker 3 (18:14):
You can you know two will be out again, you
can play.
Speaker 1 (18:21):
That's a different Renews story, isn't it. It's different everything else.
Maybe I should.
Speaker 2 (18:29):
Switch, though, and it's coming up for switching slightly different content,
so it doesn't make any sense. I'll still play the
one I've got anyway, but yeah, but also the one, the.
Speaker 1 (18:40):
One you've got is a banger, by the way, like,
no matter how good it is, the one you've got
is fantastic video game.
Speaker 2 (18:45):
So there's two games are going to stream a Danger
Rubber game and Massa take the Drink Coade P five
edition because it's like some added some things and they
added like four K whatever. But also in the game
front as well, which we've all played. It was a
massive hit. Everyone was playing. It was funny and everything.
Leathful Company came out in twenty twenty three. Really yeah, yep,
(19:08):
hard to believe so since that day, but like we
were always constantly playing it. Massive collabs and all sorts
then it died.
Speaker 1 (19:18):
Yeah, well this year mainly it was on aces stream.
Actually earlier this year we played a little bit, but yeah,
that was kind of random.
Speaker 2 (19:27):
So I'll move over to the TV movie section. But
to be fair, as guys said earlier, like like twenty
twenty three, there was kind of some good movies, but
I never actually watched anything new during twenty twenty three, so, like,
I know, that was like there was all those films
that came out of all that, like Blue Beetle I
wanted to watch, never got round into it. But yeah,
(19:50):
twenty thwoy three seemed to be the year like barely
anything happened, like barely I chose to do hard to explain,
like like I didn't probably I not decide not to
watch movies that came out that year, but it just
seemed to be that year like nothing happened.
Speaker 3 (20:05):
I think.
Speaker 4 (20:05):
I think though, like with modern like years anyway, the
movies generally aren't as good. Like it's to the point
where also you know, like you look at films on
the early two thousands in the nineties, like they've.
Speaker 3 (20:19):
Been around for ages as well, so there's a chance
you would have watched them.
Speaker 4 (20:22):
You know they're they're cult classics or you know, they
got huge names already. These are like I'm not saying
these films are bad, but there's just nothing even like
in the superhero world, like it's it's just a bit
like the New Superman looks pretty good and is apparently
is pretty good, but I'll just never get.
Speaker 3 (20:40):
Around of watching it.
Speaker 4 (20:41):
So it's just a bit like, you know, as much
as all the stuff may be good, like I just
have the time or the effort to sit down and
watch him.
Speaker 3 (20:50):
Fortunately, so it's just a bit difficult.
Speaker 1 (20:55):
M hmm.
Speaker 2 (20:57):
Yeah, I lost my train of four. Ah yeah, so
uh the so I did watch, and I mean twenty
eighty three though, so I did so, and surprisingly twenty
three was one of the major years that I watched
quite a bit. The ones I did watch were like
(21:17):
were the talked about, like everyone was liking shows for instance, uh,
my main one. There was quite a few, so I'll
just say a few of them, but I'll talk about
this one first, uh, which was Marcell Magic and Muscles
that came out in twenty twenty three, which yeah, it's
(21:38):
obviously magic school vibe thing. And then all this main
guy hasn't got magic, so he just gets by with
his maps like like comedic style strength kind.
Speaker 1 (21:52):
Of like that's that's One punch Man, is it.
Speaker 2 (21:56):
That's what I mean. It's like if One punch Man
went to like like a magic school. I see, Yeah,
it's this anime had me laughing each episode. It was
so funny. It leads me to the songs. My song
choice as well, which was the opening to Marshall Muscle,
which was by h Crazy Nuts because you mentioned nuts earlier.
Speaker 3 (22:20):
More Nuts again, what's going on?
Speaker 1 (22:22):
It's creepy nuts.
Speaker 2 (22:23):
Creepy nuts. Sorry, yeah, not crazy I was making that.
Since Creamy Nuts did that opening, they've done another opening
to something and they that was also a banger show.
It was linked to now, but they actually do tend
to make bang, wasn't it. Yeah, Dan Dawn, that's it.
They made down So yeah that after like Marshall, they
(22:47):
like became like big Big Girl yea. So it was
quite funny. It's quite like an interesting tune as well.
But I'm just skip over these ones quite quickly as well,
because obviously we didn't have much to do with the
games and stuff to continue on. Like how I like
Demon Slair Demon Slair saw Smith Arc was during twenty
(23:08):
twenty three, so that was also good. Only eleven episodes,
but like the animation and all that story and the
continuation of the story. Fear In Beyond Journey's End, the
massive anime that is now number one on male h
that was twenty three, The Popcarry the Pothercarry Diaries was
(23:31):
also a go to show mine as well about like
ancient Chinese emperor style shows like time period. Also there
was two racing ones that came out twenty two three
as well. I don't know if.
Speaker 1 (23:51):
It was that yeah, of course it was.
Speaker 2 (23:53):
Yet Overtake came out twenty eighty three. Loved that it
was about f four, but I didn't start watching the
other one until after I finished the the prequel to it,
which was obviously the initial d and of course came three.
Speaker 1 (24:10):
Oh that's not even the only two race. So there
was also the same season as Overtake. There was high
Speed at well or however you say it.
Speaker 2 (24:18):
I kind of forgot about that one. That the races
were kind of the races were cool, the story was
like not very interesting, but like a character. And then
Paradox Live and Firefighter Digo Rescuer and Rescuer in Orange
resc I was going to make the joke, but I've
(24:38):
forgotten the whole advert in entirely. What is that orange
Orange Rescue?
Speaker 1 (24:46):
I was just thinking of the exact same thing, and
you are thinking of Mourning Morning Rescue.
Speaker 2 (24:55):
One average stuck this whole entire time.
Speaker 1 (24:58):
I know, right, that ad I think became a meme
because do you remember I'm going to talk about anime
fan subs from fifteen years ago now? But do you remember?
It happened very rarely, but sometimes when like because you know,
when people would making these anime fans subs, they'd cut
out the ad breaks of the TV show, right, Why
would they keep that in for the pirated copy of
(25:19):
the anime? So, but sometimes they'd leave one in because
it's funny, and they left in it. It was Madica Magica, right,
which is before our time watching anime, But they left
in this stupid advert Mourning Rescue. I think it must
be like a wake me up in the morning type
drink or so. I don't even know. Oh my god,
Morning Rescue too.
Speaker 2 (25:42):
It was it said it came out on but yeah,
that was a show, and there's an advert popped up
and it just stuck sticks with you.
Speaker 1 (25:49):
It's such an earworm that we both thought of that
just because you said rescue.
Speaker 2 (25:53):
There, yeah, like the show is Fireman and they're wearing
orange like suit and I was just like, oh, yeah,
Morning Rescue. But I was trying to like, was it
Orange Rescue or was this something? I just remember it
just them all just grappling rope in and just shoving
the drink in your face.
Speaker 1 (26:17):
Discovered, which you can get to at our website from
wes dot UK if you're not already remember, I am
going to post it in there.
Speaker 2 (26:27):
For the other one as well afterwards.
Speaker 1 (26:30):
The other one. Yeah, all right there, Oh yes, that's yeah,
there was a lot. They're gonna wonder why we were
just photod to these two, but yees gosh, that is
a throwback. I can't believe you also remember that's funny.
Speaker 2 (26:48):
I told you. It just takes like my memories, like
keeps a lot of stuff, but it takes one world
or one thing or smell whatever to reactivate that memory.
And obviously seeing the orange jumpsuits the Morning Rescue just
dems some popped into my head. It's literally like what
the hell moment? But yeah, that's my stuff for twenty
(27:12):
three was an odd year, but it was a year.
It was it was a year.
Speaker 1 (27:21):
Yeah, we're looking at looking at just the stuff there
and thinking, yeah, I feel like almost in terms of
like I don't know, pop culture media, it's somewhat passed
me by a little bit. Maybe maybe it just because
it's newer, as you say, you know, I just you know,
as I get older, I you know, have less time
to watch all this stuff. This is of course the
first year that's like fully into you know, doing V
(27:42):
tubing and stuff, and it's like, yeah, I guess I
guess that happened.
Speaker 4 (27:46):
Well, it's crazy when you like, with all of the
hype that was around, like Barbie and Oppenheimer.
Speaker 3 (27:53):
I never watched either of them.
Speaker 4 (27:55):
I mean, I'm probably gonna watch Barb to be honest,
but like I never even watched Oppenheimer, which I definitely
should have because you know, it looks like something i'd
actually enjoy. But it's strange that, Yeah, it's things like
that just simply pass you by and then you just
don't get the time for it.
Speaker 3 (28:13):
It's a shame, but you know, it is what it is.
It's problem being old.
Speaker 2 (28:18):
You know, Yes, yeah, I think the last time I
went to a cinema to watch anything was because it
was an anime. I mean both didn't for me. That
both down to don episode things that they brought out
earlier before the series and then the demos the movie.
I think was the only time I went to the
(28:39):
cinema three times in the space of how many years
it's been. But yeah, I do want to do a
bit more, go to like actually watch I wouldn't say
proper films because the anime at the end of the
day is now a mainstream proper film even to the
outside world. Well live action like more live action stuff.
Speaker 1 (29:00):
Should have gone to see Hamilton I rather cut off
my leg his head, his head proper.
Speaker 3 (29:07):
Films, which.
Speaker 1 (29:09):
Literally a filming of a musical on stage in cinemas.
It was definitely not a proper film.
Speaker 2 (29:14):
I do like musicals, and I probably would go watch
it at some point or watch it like like at
some point because it's just more it just seems to
be that because you like it and you wrap it
in VC. But it's crazy with it that to like
say no, But like I do like musicals because I
do enjoy it. Like what was it called? Oh was
(29:40):
I keep losing my train of thought. Damn brain, The
Great Showman and what's that anime one called h they'd
sing a bit of harmony stuff like that. So I
do enjoy musicals mm hmm.
Speaker 1 (29:56):
Yeah, I mean yeah, Hamilton is an interesting sing if
you if you have Disney Plus in three hours of
your time, it's.
Speaker 2 (30:05):
That I want Disney Plus. But it's just like do
I get another service because like some of the anime
that I do watch, their next seasons have been like
post by Disney, so like you can watch season one,
but to watch season two, you need Disney Plus. It's
like use stupid.
Speaker 1 (30:22):
The windows and modern streaming. Yes, I was gonna say
that I am. The last thing I went to see
in the cinema wasn't anime because because it was Hamilton.
But then I remembered on Friday, I went to see
Perfect Blue in the cinema, which actually, I guess that's
my first time seeing Perfect Blue in the cinema, is it? Guy?
(30:45):
Do you think perfect where.
Speaker 4 (30:50):
Where? But I mean I think, yeah, I don't think
it's Scotland. I think more locally.
Speaker 1 (30:57):
Gosh, I'll tell you.
Speaker 3 (30:58):
The end where I'm pretty sure we watched it.
Speaker 1 (31:00):
But Okay, yeah, I figured I must have felt like
I'm in the cinema, but maybe I'm just another.
Speaker 2 (31:09):
Edition blue ry now that they've shown it in the
cinema and four.
Speaker 1 (31:12):
K yeah, well yeah it is four K blue ray
coming out.
Speaker 2 (31:17):
As they were advertisement advertising it, like I knew you
go to watch it, but like I was seeing just
the advertisement of like someone wearing the blue the perfect
blue cosplay walking around Scotland pointing out all the posters
and stuff like that.
Speaker 1 (31:33):
Actually a poster for that in the right outside the
odeon in the center of my city, and it's like,
oh wow, perfectly just right there that that same exact
spot had Hamilton Look before it, and it's like, wow,
this is really like bending towards me right now.
Speaker 2 (31:48):
Cinema and their anime posters.
Speaker 1 (31:51):
Yeah, maybe I should have because I had a Leader
and Stitch poster from a cinema. Like back when Lelo
and Stitch the original came out. It was huge as well.
It kind of like almost entire lengths.
Speaker 2 (32:04):
It was a thing to like go and ask for
like stuff that obviously they were just going to throw
away anyway. But at one point I think the cinema
I used when I used to go a guy a lot.
They actually did have a box full of all their
old posters that were used they could just pick up
on the way out. But obviously that that was at
(32:24):
the time when I wasn't watching like anime films. I
guess it was more like the film films the past
thing to allow them go a lot. So it was
like nothing.
Speaker 4 (32:35):
Yeah once again that that would be absolutely now because
what what was you watch? There's nothing on the cinema,
so people watch, yeah, But it came about that how
long how many time is that on in a year?
You know, like it's like this is what the Olympic
card is is just pointless.
Speaker 6 (32:51):
Now.
Speaker 4 (32:51):
It was good back when I had it, like you
could go there was like films that were coming out
of that were generally pretty good and you willing know.
But now it's like, well, there's nothing. So it's a
shame the cinema's sort of gone because.
Speaker 2 (33:04):
They either of these companies either bring out on their
streaming service or they go like cinema, which going back
to cinema like it's hard to like think of like,
oh's grain, but once you go back to it, like
after a while, like as I did for the Latest
Wars Demons there, it's just like, oh, I actually like
(33:27):
that experience.
Speaker 3 (33:28):
Yeah, but did you get the ice cream?
Speaker 2 (33:30):
I did? I got the ice.
Speaker 3 (33:33):
Cream was literally my fair party. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (33:36):
Same. I was like, oh, if we're going back here,
I'm getting the ice shakes. So I obviously spent although
it's get Obviously it's expensive, but.
Speaker 1 (33:44):
I was going to say that like a twelve quid milkshakeer.
Speaker 3 (33:47):
It was like mine.
Speaker 1 (33:50):
Honestly, yeah, no, you can already spend just.
Speaker 2 (33:55):
Yeah, I would have spent more, but for some reason
our cinemar didn't didn't have the audacity to get in
the Demon Slayer merch like all the other call a
lot of those cups or whatever. But yeah, I had
cheesecake milkshake, cheesecake ice cream milkshake, which didn't help with
(34:17):
the two hour and a half film. I needed a
whiz like half.
Speaker 4 (34:24):
I was probably getting drinks though, like because even ice
cream isn't you know, it's not the same as a drink,
but you're like a milkshake would be. But like, the
thing I hate about whenever I get ice cream is like,
by the time the trailers have finished, I'm basically done
and I'm like, oh no, got a whole.
Speaker 2 (34:39):
Film myself at the drink because obviously, like I didn't
want to melt too much where it was like gonna
be just like just horrible liquid at the end. But like, yeah,
it was just like I could see people during the
cinema like leave, but then they were leaving at like
critical moments, like I thought like if I left at
that time or missed this part, and I was like,
(34:59):
I don't know when to are, then they ended up
like not thinking about it too much. Luckily, like I'm
not that type person I ever forget about it, like
I pissed myself or something.
Speaker 4 (35:08):
Well, i'll tell you what, I'm going to struggle when
they indefinitely will do it at some point where they
have the Lord of the Rings trilogy on the cinema, probably.
Speaker 3 (35:18):
Back to back and.
Speaker 1 (35:22):
Chance I've haven't already done that anyway.
Speaker 3 (35:25):
Yeah, exactly, but they do it. They do it occasionally now.
Speaker 4 (35:27):
It's like because because of course there's no films coming up,
basically they just bring they do like trilogies, and I'd
like I'd love especially extended ones which are like four
to five hours each. Ah man, would I would be
there for that you'd have to literally go a whole
day up to be at the cinema.
Speaker 2 (35:45):
Infinitely different from when we do s l A really
but the only time longer. It's back to back, but
like you have to you have to leave the cinema
first to then queue up again. But then by that time, no,
I don't thing they do that SLA I got a
way of like needing the bathroom and thing. It's like
(36:06):
because they were short of and you come back, you
go out line up and then you can have one way.
Speaker 1 (36:12):
Obviously, even if if you do watch all the back
there's still credits, like you could still do that.
Speaker 4 (36:19):
They wouldn't do it like literally back to that. It
would be like, oh, there's no break. Imagine that an
intermission like there was when it originally came out.
Speaker 3 (36:26):
There's a.
Speaker 2 (36:29):
I did. I did put myself through a little bit
more pain because obviously, like at the end of the films,
where like sometimes they'll have like the long credits and
then something might be at the end, so the lights
did come on, the credits are still rolling, and like
I did just sit there and I still have let
people and I just sat there, like I hope this
is worth it, and at the end, it was just
them showing the characters on screen. I was like, why
(36:52):
did I put myself through this?
Speaker 4 (36:54):
And you need to look up the does the movie
like that website that tells you if the movie has
Like I.
Speaker 2 (37:00):
Was trying not to be on in as much when
I wanted to go watch this film because obviously other
kinds like Japan had it first and ever they had
like a few months in events. But like, I try
to like keep off in it as much. He's like
spoilers and all that, but the people who read the
Monk obviously know what happens. Anyway, I'm I'm the I'm
choosing to read the manga as I'm watching, so I'll
(37:22):
stop at where I am in the show then just
reading ahead. So these last two movies next are literally
going to be like it's like new to me and
I can't wait. But obviously I'll go wait a few
more years for part two and part three, which is
gonna be worth it, I think in the end, mm hmm.
(37:44):
But we did a good tangent.
Speaker 1 (37:45):
Then we did.
Speaker 3 (37:47):
Yeah, we we probably should move on.
Speaker 1 (37:50):
The first first actual topic on here. I mean, I
was thinking I should have added perfect Blue anyway, because
that's pretty cool to watch again. But anyway, my first
actual topic on here is I got banned from Twitch.
Speaker 2 (38:03):
I mean, I'm n.
Speaker 1 (38:08):
This is where I reveal the truth, the true story
behind my Twitch ban. Everyone tuned into this to listen
to apparently so in the opinion of well, a piracy
company on behalf of Formula one management. But I was
picked for a copyright during Singapore or Grand Prix watch
along because I'm pretty sure it's just because of the
(38:31):
timing screen on on the stream, which technically I suppose
is Formula One's property. I can't argue with that. But
my goodness, that ain't worth whatever they're paying that piracy
company that enforced jeez. So yeah, that that were like,
it was funny. OBS pops up saying you're disconnected for
(38:56):
like a second, and it comes up saying I'm reconnected,
and I'm like, I'm talking to chat being like, am
I am? I still there is this streaming It looks fine.
Then I go over to the Twitch dashboard and it
says please log in. I'm like, why has that logged
me out at this moment? So I log in and
then it uh and then it tells me you are suspended, Like, oh, okay,
(39:18):
I see, so that's how that goes when it happens.
And then yeah, obviously YouTube was still going. I stopped
after that. I could get going on YouTube in theory,
but I was like, you know, I didn't even realize
it was the the timing stream at that point, so
probably good I just stopped because I could have theory
gone and got me there as well. Funny that they didn't.
(39:40):
But yeah, so that was a funny forty eight hours
of being banned. I think it's funny more than anything else. Yeah. Now,
and now I can say I got a twitch band
like all the other big streamers. Get right, like I'm
one of the one of them, a real streamer, now.
Speaker 2 (39:56):
Right, get a fact fact check it and apologize, is
you right, Resker, because we all know weren't in the wrong.
Speaker 1 (40:04):
Well no, I mean technically I was in the wrong.
Speaker 2 (40:06):
Oh you was, okay?
Speaker 1 (40:08):
Well, as I say, technically, the timing screen is formula
one's property. But you know, literally they're copyright striking me
over some names and some numbers in a grid.
Speaker 2 (40:19):
Thought, because when we were talking about it earlier, I
thought you'd, like you couldn't see what the problem was.
But then I guess the last time we spoke, I.
Speaker 1 (40:27):
Can see what the problem is now you can.
Speaker 2 (40:30):
Yeah, I mean, but when we talked about last you
were like hoping it was like a misunderstanding or something.
Speaker 1 (40:35):
I mean, at first, I thought they'd taken me down
just because I had like watch along in the name
and they assumed I was showing it, right, Okay, I
realized after aenning stream like, no, it must be the
timing because it was from their website. It's nice. It's
weird though, because like there's so many websites out there
that show Formula one timing that presumably I would not
be pinged for. But if I use Formula one's web Like,
(40:58):
where did these other website get their data from to
show it in the first place? Like, you know, how's this?
How's it will work? I don't know, but I won't
be showing the Formula ones lifetiming on stream anymore, or
possibly any other official lifetiming for that manner.
Speaker 2 (41:17):
Yet, paper in the paper and go look at this
picture quickly. Let me change it quick.
Speaker 1 (41:22):
Well, yeah, you fellow racing YouTube bazool came up with
a good idea that I'm like ask you if I
can genuinely use because his idea was, like, you know,
in the big empty space, it would there be on
the road, on the stream. It could be like a
whiteboard and we sort of note down throughout the race
everything that happens, either you know, either write a gat
or maybe drawing something. I don't know, you know, be
(41:44):
a bit creative with it. And at the end of
the race you got this massive sheet of like everything
that happened in shorthand. I don't know, it could be
interesting bit more of an interactive you know, aspect of
the watch along. So maybe I'll actually do that next time.
I'm doing up.
Speaker 2 (42:00):
And slammed the white board saying, you look at this,
look at what they laugh.
Speaker 1 (42:07):
Yeah, that was my exciting forty eight hours. Obviously I
wasn't playing a streaming during anyway, so I didn't really
make any difference. And hopefully anyone who wants to see
a vol on Twitch during that period made their way
over to my YouTube channel. But yeah, that was fun.
Huh uh, Well we got on here. Next it's another anime,
(42:29):
the duo lingo anime.
Speaker 2 (42:31):
Wanted and it's terrifying. Yeah, thirteenth Oh it.
Speaker 1 (42:38):
Came out it's like a two minute episode, Like.
Speaker 2 (42:43):
I did not want to see the bird in high heels.
Speaker 1 (42:46):
I mean, yeah, like the the trailer was like a
quarter of the episode probably, so it's you know, do you.
Speaker 4 (42:56):
Know what though, It's just like when I saw it,
I just assumed it was fag anyway, I was like, like, who.
Speaker 3 (43:02):
Would want a duel Ingo anime?
Speaker 1 (43:05):
The second episode, they're all literally two minutes there.
Speaker 3 (43:08):
We should we should probably maybe we should just watch them.
That's the thing. I should sit down and marathon the
entire thing. That's it's the.
Speaker 1 (43:19):
Characters from due Lingo, and I think the plot is
something like it's their origin story from before they were
guardians of the Street, which we are now in the Lord.
Speaker 3 (43:32):
I don't know.
Speaker 1 (43:36):
I mean I'll probably watched these because already two minutes
and the characters are funny enough. But I don't even
I don't use Duelingo anymore. It became such an awful
experience to use that, Like, yeah, if I continue learning languages,
it will not be with that app. I don't think.
Speaker 2 (43:53):
Yeah, I think it is the major anime that I
haven't watched. It is a lot of the short ones
because it's like the other one to talk about. I
think I talked on the podcast, like at the beginning
about the new Grid one no Grid, the one the
Toyota made, about the GT six and all that kind
of cars. Yeah, that's still like a short series I
(44:15):
need to watch. But yeah, I guess I'll give this
we maybe we could do Discord watch along or something.
I don't know.
Speaker 1 (44:21):
I mean, it's literally curently four minutes worth of.
Speaker 2 (44:23):
Share talk about this, Cord. I need to watch you
with the time trial with the k car versus the
sports cars from that.
Speaker 1 (44:36):
In Japan.
Speaker 2 (44:36):
Yes, where they go to that racetrack that's an very
expensive membership, very expensive. I won't say too much because
I'll let the videos save for itself, but I did
watch a little bit of it. Yeah, I'm looking forward
to that.
Speaker 1 (44:52):
Interesting that Japanese racetrack. That's interesting.
Speaker 2 (44:55):
Yeah, you can live on it.
Speaker 3 (44:59):
Wow. Yeah.
Speaker 1 (45:02):
Next up, Arrow is posted a bunch of things in here.
Speaker 2 (45:04):
I don't know if you want to random news. Yeah,
we did talk about cinema and stuff, so I'll start
with that, I guess. Recently, obviously, Demon Slayer again has
been in the news because it keeps breaking records and stuff,
which I'm quite thankful for because it just shows that,
like even if it's anime, it's they can tell a
(45:26):
really good story. Like just because this anime doesn't, you
shouldn't like give it like oh, like I'm not gonna
watch it kind of thing, because obviously, like there's so
many stigmas around like anime and animated stuff. But Infony
Castle has made history by officially becoming the highest grossing
foreign film of all time in the US. It breaks
(45:49):
the milestone, the twenty four year old record milestone previously
previously held by The Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon to the
two thousand movie. I guess it was a martial arts
live action movie. It is earned an incredible one one
hundred and twenty six point No. One hundred and twenty
(46:11):
eight sorry point six million at the box office. Yeah,
how'd you feel about that then, guys?
Speaker 1 (46:26):
I mean it sort of feels inevitable with how it's
already been breaking a bunch of records and stuff, So
I mean, I'm not surprised at this point.
Speaker 2 (46:36):
There's nice too, like animated shows now like as like
breaking everything, but dimas said, is well deserved. I guess
it's if it had to be more. If it had
to be like anime, I'm I probably would have picked
demas there as well. There is there is some really
good ones as well that like are slightly overlooked, like
there's like my Hero and stuff. Their animation for the
(46:56):
final series is really good. I can't wait to watch that.
I'm a little bit find so much in the dub
of it. But even that's like wow that like people
like rating it so good. But I guess I was
talking about anime as well. Resc is gonna like this.
I tried to keep it hush for a while, but
I couldn't contain myself, so I told Resca early. But
(47:17):
the youtubeer that started in minor Rescuer's career, Kaby Maury,
is performing the second opening to an anime that I've
been watching called Gatchi Gatchakua. Yeah, I only I call
it Gatchi for sure. It's and as I said, like
(47:40):
how I said, the song's guy was showing us how
I said, they sound very anime style because modern anime
like Gatchi have those kind of like heavy heavy metal
or screamo type openings now and it's weird. It's not weird,
but it's a new from what Cloudy moore ig normally does.
(48:04):
She is doing the similar heavy style in her version
of the for the second opening. It's cool. What was
it called again, It's called let us Crash or something,
let it crash. They've really really, they've really really they've
re They've really not re released, but they've released. Sorry
catch up with my Mouth the anime opening with the song.
(48:30):
I have caught that far yet because I'm still a
few behind. Because it's the second core that she's doing
it for. That's big news for a YouTuber doing. I know.
I think in the past some YouTubers have done anime
openings before, but a really big one.
Speaker 1 (48:46):
I mean she has as well. She did Suicide Squad.
Speaker 2 (48:48):
Yes, she also did Suicide Score, which the anime I
haven't watched yet, but like I did mention that before,
but it's quite nice to see. Like I'm starting, I'm
actually watching oh announcement Clipye, Moory is actually going to
sing the opening to one of it, and that was
quite interesting.
Speaker 1 (49:06):
Yeah, I mean, you know, it helps that she has
a record deal with Universal, but.
Speaker 2 (49:09):
Yes, to watch this anime about trap.
Speaker 1 (49:13):
Oh god, no, I'm not watching that show.
Speaker 2 (49:17):
Yeah, it's literally I feel for this main character because
like he I kind of do the same with like
finding new purpose for things, or like I'm very heavily
on recycles and recyclable stuff. He's the same. He wants
to give things another chance, kind of like with garbage
and stuff. But then that becomes they it becomes like
(49:37):
a power thing whatever. But yeah, it's literally about trash.
I can't wait for the manga collection that was announced
for this show where it's literally in a dumpster style
box and it comes with a tote bag that has
been made out of recyclable material. So that is kind
of neat and I can't wait for that. That's coming
(49:58):
on next year. But they announced it at the latest
American Comic Con. The volume is already out, but I'm
going to wait for this box set to get like
the first ten volumes because it's a neat box set.
Speaker 4 (50:12):
And I just tangent real quick. You mentioned comic Con. Yes,
either you're going to comic on. I've seen Rescuer isn't but.
Speaker 2 (50:21):
I want to. But then it was just like who
do I ask?
Speaker 1 (50:25):
Yeah, this is available, that's next weekend, isn't it?
Speaker 4 (50:31):
Is?
Speaker 3 (50:31):
This? Is it this weekend isn't it weekend?
Speaker 1 (50:33):
Actually next weekend it's last calendar.
Speaker 2 (50:37):
Yeah, so not this weekend coming, it's the next one fifth.
So if you guys are you can go. I don't
like going back.
Speaker 3 (50:48):
Maybe well I must, I should go to one, but
I just don't.
Speaker 4 (50:52):
I'm not. I'd rather go to what was your game?
I'm not sure what it even is anything.
Speaker 1 (51:00):
I think the remnants of that are within the London
comic Yeah.
Speaker 2 (51:04):
Yeah, when we did end up going, but.
Speaker 4 (51:09):
Then it was like your last time into one of those.
It's like the games are terrible. There was no like
new games like what.
Speaker 1 (51:18):
I think. I think the the big gaming companies don't
see the value of such events. Then I get it
they just.
Speaker 2 (51:27):
Testing.
Speaker 1 (51:28):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (51:30):
That was that the one where we went to where
we did this Full Guy Live.
Speaker 1 (51:36):
Oh my god, I forgot about that.
Speaker 2 (51:41):
It was very good with edything skills and puse like
Emojie's over our face or something. I would love to
release that video.
Speaker 1 (51:47):
I would love to do that. If you have that, Yeah,
I'll do that. Well, all this is for for context
that we went to. You was it's Eurogamer Expo in
was it twenty twenty? Was it twenty twenty or it.
Speaker 3 (51:59):
Would have.
Speaker 1 (52:02):
I think it was twenty one. I mean, for I
think I was twenty, but yeah, I think it was
twenty one. We went uh Exile Center in London, home
of the Formerity, and I they had this. It was
like a four guys thing, so it was like actual
obstacle of course, but you had to like run. You
had to like run up a conveyor belt that's going down,
(52:26):
so you're going uphill on a reverse conveyor belt basically,
so it's going against you. And I think that was
the main thing, wasn't it.
Speaker 2 (52:34):
And then walk around and it's like a team basically
because guy didn't want to do it. We had to
have a random in our group so we could we
couldn't be the wazz group. I think we were still
called who was a Soda? Weren't we on the leaderboard?
Speaker 1 (52:51):
If it was, yeah, it would have been probably.
Speaker 2 (52:53):
I think we did use that name in it because
it was hot Shot Me and knew was on there,
and I think, yeah, Shot was there, Yeah, just three.
I think hot Shot was there because we Yeah, I
swear it was.
Speaker 1 (53:05):
Because I don't think that Shot went to the whole event.
Speaker 2 (53:08):
You wanted to get the the full guy's merch that
we saw like in the glass cabinets. I swear he
was on our team.
Speaker 1 (53:17):
I don't think he went to the video.
Speaker 2 (53:21):
I've got a video on my iPad. I'm gonna you
have to like be like very tenous with the editing,
because guy, for some reason was so interested in zooming
in on my face. Every don't let guy, don't get
don't let guy in charge of your camera because I've
had instance of comic Can you please take a photo
(53:45):
for me? And then I come home, I look at
the photos and all the ted it to guy blurry
like someone's been shaped in a storm, or it was
a picture of his face instead.
Speaker 1 (54:06):
I remember, I remember seeing you do it. You take
someone's phone instantly, the camera.
Speaker 2 (54:11):
Just you wouldn't even take a decent phone in the
first place, so I never had the photo of what
I wanted.
Speaker 4 (54:22):
You learn and stop asking.
Speaker 2 (54:24):
You're the only one next to me when I want
a picture of someone.
Speaker 3 (54:28):
Well, that's not my fault.
Speaker 2 (54:29):
I know I'm of the group, but still, this.
Speaker 1 (54:33):
Is a guy who went to Japan with nothing but
front facing phone camera.
Speaker 2 (54:37):
Because us pictures instead.
Speaker 3 (54:41):
Well, that's exactly I did. It, wasn't it wasn't down.
Speaker 4 (54:44):
I wasn't like, oh, I'm perhapsly doing it because my
back camera broke, like I can use it.
Speaker 2 (54:51):
Then I looked at more of my Japanese Japan photos,
and there was when the rescue was taking a photo
of a nice cherry bossom tree hot shot. Hot Shot
was trying to photo bomb rescue shot. But in the
same time I looked at my photo, he was photo
bombing mine because I was slightly further away from rescuer,
(55:14):
but he still was in my frame and I didn't
see that until I looked at the picture again.
Speaker 1 (55:22):
Photos I have a hot shot and guy mouth open
for something.
Speaker 6 (55:28):
Air.
Speaker 2 (55:32):
I just still remember still family in my in my
head on that train station platform guy born to make
history while swinging his hips and sweeping the air. I
was like, God, I.
Speaker 4 (55:48):
Don't know why he loved it.
Speaker 2 (55:52):
I do have a foot of him leaning forward looking
antiguedly into the shrine wooden platform things.
Speaker 3 (56:00):
Maybe maybe we should recreate these. We're just gonna have
to go back in real life.
Speaker 2 (56:08):
I do want to go back, so maybe that would
be another thing to do. Because also these car events
that I want to go to RESCA because they have
initial d NMF stuff. I actually do want to do
car things these times at this time, just going with
you because I didn't want to go the other two.
Speaker 3 (56:27):
I don't know why we we We went like cut Noodle.
Speaker 2 (56:31):
Museum I would have liked, but like I thought, well
the group of four, two of us go one place,
two of us go the other. I didn't I know
Rescue and final though, but like I didn't want to
be like the one where it's.
Speaker 3 (56:46):
Like his own.
Speaker 2 (56:49):
I did enjoy the car museums. Never don't get me that.
I was just trying to work out how to get
there in the first place. Was the tedious part going
around that massive building just.
Speaker 1 (57:00):
To get to it, and it wasn't there as well.
Speaker 2 (57:03):
There was a factory one. We had his double Donald
Trump pose outside the factory.
Speaker 1 (57:13):
Red hat for context. It was a.
Speaker 2 (57:18):
If you my Twitter or his Twitter, you'll see a
picture of Rescue in that hat because I drew over
his face doing the pose. So there's the context there.
So yeah, sly chatting there, but yes we are. Hopefully
I found out these guys do want to go back
to Japan, so hopefully we might have news of planning
(57:39):
a Japan trip. Who knows I'll be excited if we are.
Speaker 1 (57:44):
Lost.
Speaker 2 (57:44):
Bar yes, I'll find the shoe and sign yes he's
still there. There's so many drinks I want to try,
especially the ones that Natski named, which I'll say later
on because some of them have them. I don't like
swear much.
Speaker 1 (58:03):
Okay, know why don't you like swearing?
Speaker 3 (58:06):
Crazy?
Speaker 2 (58:07):
No go.
Speaker 1 (58:11):
An?
Speaker 2 (58:12):
Okay, Because we're talking about Japan, I'm going to mention
another Japanese thing that's happened. A Japanese man was so
excited for Ghosts of Yota he uh that he flew
to Hokkaido to climb Mount Yota himself. The trip took
him four days, with a seven hour climb each way.
Speaker 1 (58:36):
At least. I mean, I don't know when this actually happened,
but judging by when you posted it, surely the guy
missed the launch day of Ghost Yota because he was
too busy climbing Mount Yote, so he didn't even get
to play the game.
Speaker 2 (58:51):
Why it was older? It was older on my phone, Okay.
Obviously I find these news articles and then like put
them in the thing.
Speaker 1 (59:00):
Sometimes they happen like why would you why would you
climb them out in? While the game's coming out.
Speaker 2 (59:05):
I think he is like he knows it was coming
out soon that he did. Yeah, So a lot of these,
a lot of these articles that we talked about the
news because of our podcaster is once every two weeks. Yes,
some of the news may have already happened or is
a bit older than what we say, but a lot
of these things people may not have heard. Kind of thing.
(59:26):
For instance, have you guys heard that Pepsi has released
a new limited edition gingerbread Man flavored drink.
Speaker 1 (59:34):
I mean, I presume we're not getting that here. I
would like to try that, honestly. I think you can
tell it. Oh no, is there a sugar, isn't it?
But yeah, I mean you can tell it's not a
UK because it's not. It's there a sugar, but it's
not Pepsi Max the Best. But I was also going
to say that if we got a custom flavor like
that gingerbread flavor here, it would be it would definitely
(59:56):
be the PEPs It would only ever be the zero sugar,
right is there?
Speaker 3 (01:00:00):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (01:00:00):
Yeah, we get there one the same with like Phantom
grapes and all that kind of stuff.
Speaker 4 (01:00:06):
The real stuff, the Panto zero ones actually suck like,
whereas pepsi max. I think it just tastes so similar
to actual pepsi, maybe even better. I literally don't I
always drink it because especially when i'm like basically cuttings
are not eating or taking as many calories. Like it's
(01:00:28):
basically water, there's no calories and it's perfect.
Speaker 3 (01:00:32):
But then you get sugar.
Speaker 2 (01:00:34):
Like pepsi flavors like strawberries and cream and cream soda
that I like drinking a lot. They're they're low carbonate
as well, so that I can drink more of them
because they're less fusy, which for a minute I thought
some of them were a bit flat, but I read
in the back of the can that it is low carbonated,
so nothing wrong with f no, but I do appreciate it,
(01:00:59):
like I could drink it because obviously with very fizzy drinks,
I have to like take my time otherwise it will
probably like like well like where you've seen streams where
people like down a whole sprite or something and they're
just they're like exploding on.
Speaker 3 (01:01:14):
The floor from just so yeah, you're.
Speaker 2 (01:01:19):
Sometimes I'm really thirsty, I want to like not down
a drink, but like drink it a bit like faster
just to like start off, and obviously with highly calm
their drinks that that does kill me. So I am.
I am appreciative of the new flavors that come out
as low carbonated. Yeah, more drinks. I haven't had this
(01:01:42):
in so many years. A certain friend in our group
I only drunk this because they were obsessed with it
when they came to us with comic corn. Mountain Dew
is launching a flavorable dirty Mountain Dew cream soda. And
this from when you every time. When I first saw
because I saw the word dirty mountain, I heard you
(01:02:03):
guys in my head going dirty water. Only you guys
have get that reference. But yeah, how do you feel
about that? I know this will probably be more aimed
at guy because a guy drinks kind of drinks like this.
Speaker 4 (01:02:16):
I think I haven't drunk Mountain Dew probably since the
Halo four promotion thing, which is where I want a
three coffee of Halo four, which is great.
Speaker 3 (01:02:27):
Apart from that, I literally have not.
Speaker 4 (01:02:28):
Drank it because I just don't. I'm not massive fan.
I mean, like even like.
Speaker 3 (01:02:32):
Monster, I haven't drank in like a couple of months now.
Speaker 4 (01:02:34):
I actually literally exclusively only drank water or pepsi max.
It is my like an actual pets mats cherry to
be honest, but as my actual like yeah, exactly, it's
my you know, like go to drink apart from obviously
coffees and stuff. But I mean, I don't know, I
don't mind trying stuff like that. But once again, i'm one.
I'm assuming that's not Is that coming to England that dirty?
Speaker 1 (01:02:57):
I don't know.
Speaker 2 (01:02:57):
I need to really open up these articles, but you
probably should.
Speaker 1 (01:03:03):
Like.
Speaker 2 (01:03:06):
In the corner, like the US or the UK, we're
just like these.
Speaker 4 (01:03:11):
I would imagine it's US, though, I mean, well at
least it's not.
Speaker 2 (01:03:15):
You already has all these cool flavors to begin with,
so maybe it's.
Speaker 4 (01:03:19):
UK etter Like you're saying that it's we don't get
that kind of stuff.
Speaker 3 (01:03:23):
If we do, it's the zero one and.
Speaker 1 (01:03:27):
This is a part of it, according to the image
is zero and not zero. But but here's the thing,
it's also hands. We don't have any cans of mind
you hear?
Speaker 3 (01:03:36):
Is that true?
Speaker 2 (01:03:38):
If you're in America or wherever these thrinks come out,
please let us know in the comments and stuff like that,
or even if you're on a discord.
Speaker 3 (01:03:48):
Try it, try it and tell us what probably sugar?
Speaker 2 (01:03:54):
So what how?
Speaker 3 (01:03:56):
Oh?
Speaker 2 (01:03:57):
I was going to do the segue to another story,
but then I read the little thing I've put like
enjoying the two right, because if we're talking about popular
shows and all that, like now we're going to talk
about K pop demon Hunters again in this series. I'm
gonna it's actually gonna fold right. Well in the last
thing that as well, do the segway with this one.
(01:04:19):
I want to check live on the podcast where the
songs are at in the in the board because it's
been so long. Top song, the top song Billboard. There
we go, let's have a look top one hundred, let's
(01:04:40):
see where all. Okay that that is a weird thing. Okay, okay,
so I got well, it's the same thing for all
twelve slots. The new top song at the moment, well,
the new top hour at the moment is Taylor Swift. Golden.
(01:05:04):
Golden has been knocked down to number thirteen, but it's
been the highest. No, gold has been the highest songs
for sixteen weeks.
Speaker 1 (01:05:15):
Well, what are you looking at there?
Speaker 2 (01:05:17):
Top Billboard dot com?
Speaker 1 (01:05:20):
So that's us if it interests you. Golden on the
UK Top forty is currently fifth, which is down from
like first.
Speaker 2 (01:05:27):
Where do I find the UK one?
Speaker 3 (01:05:29):
I'm assuming the majority of Swift.
Speaker 1 (01:05:31):
I just googled like top forty UK, but yeah, one, two,
three in the UK, Taylor Swift Number four is man
I need by Olivia Deanek was number one as I
don't know either on.
Speaker 3 (01:05:42):
That listen to Taylor Swift to be honest.
Speaker 1 (01:05:46):
Well, apparently it's bad even Swift. Yeah, swifties aren't like
the Swift what okay?
Speaker 2 (01:05:54):
Oh so the UK Golden five as you said, so
so the pop which is my favorite from this series
that's number seven and number nine is your idol. But yeah,
Taylor Swift obviously released a new album, so of course
some of her songs are going to be popular at
the moment.
Speaker 4 (01:06:13):
Well, I mean it's is always going to be probably
the most popular thing, to be honest, yes, I mean
it's not that popular. It's not that like oh received,
which I don't think any of the new ones are anyway, particularly.
Speaker 2 (01:06:23):
She isn't for me. But I can see it from
other aspects of like people like what I.
Speaker 4 (01:06:29):
Want to quickly say and defend Taylor Swift here because
I generally think she is actually good. And like I
will happily listen to old old Taylor Swift will happily
actually listen to new stuff.
Speaker 3 (01:06:42):
I won't. I don't think it is actually good.
Speaker 4 (01:06:44):
But the old stuff is is generally good music, like
as many people will will say, like it's bad or whatever.
Speaker 3 (01:06:52):
One of the stuff we grow up on. This is
a bit different anyway.
Speaker 4 (01:06:54):
But like you look at the country and like the
actual pop stuff and like the sort of got there
putting the third fourth albums, they're actually like incredibly good
and they incredibly catchy, which is the main thing. But
the new stuff is, yeah, I wouldn't necessarily even give
it a chance because I just don't ye the style's
gone for me.
Speaker 2 (01:07:15):
The style's gone before, like I literally like for like
like when I this years ago where I used to
just like, I still like if I like the song,
it could be any genre, but back then it used
to be as well that obviously now I follow like
people's careers and like I like, if I like a person,
most of the time, I will like most of their music.
(01:07:37):
But back a long time ago, where like a lot
of it, like it was just music to me, I
could like a song, it could be any genre and
it could have been by any artist. So there might
have been a few Tailor Swift songs here and there,
or you know certain others, Like.
Speaker 3 (01:07:54):
I mean, you would have never I just would.
Speaker 2 (01:07:57):
Hear, yeah, I would not like put two into a
gain that I always like this song is by this person. Okay,
move on? Like now, if I like a song and
then I like look at the artist more and I
get a more feel for the artist and all that
it generally is, now I will follow an artist more than.
Speaker 4 (01:08:16):
Yeah, I just I What I don't like about people
that listen to music is the fact that they will
simply see it's from somebody they don't like or whatever
and be like, oh no, I just can't listen to her.
It's blah blah blah, and I hate like Taylor Swift.
I hate her, so I can't possibly listening to it.
It's like, okay, but you're just gonna ruin it for yourself.
Because there should be no shame in music? Why is
(01:08:38):
music still like its shade? Like being someone that's a
metal fan, the amount of people that are like you
will slammer me if I even mentioned that I like
Taylor swift or liked any pop things.
Speaker 3 (01:08:49):
Like why who care all music is good? If why
wouldn't I want more good stuff like.
Speaker 2 (01:08:55):
Music music in the other day. But then it's again with
like separating the from the material. For instance, there's a
lot of hype against that, where like people will choose,
like say, the song's really good, but then they'll choose
the they choose not to listen to it because of
the artist's view or some of the artists is done
(01:09:18):
or that, but they yeah, I get where you're coming
from with that. It is generally like separating the material
from the artist kind of thing, because yeah, you can
have people who will like the material but generally don't
really care about what the artist is doing or whatever.
They just like the material that's been created at that
particular moment when they they may or may not have
(01:09:38):
done that particular move at the air at that particular point. Maybe,
like in general, like if they've done something and then
create a song, maybe people be less slightly to like
listen to it because of like the thing around it.
But like say it's an old song that they made
when none no this was like relevant or whatever, and
(01:10:00):
then they did something. It's you could still separate the
two because at that moment that song was created or
whatever that was, like you know, I happened, and new
stuff comes out, like you don't want to like associate
with them, but like it's like if they've created in
that particular moment where none of that happened, then you
(01:10:23):
kind of can separate the two from.
Speaker 1 (01:10:26):
The the albums. The album the new album seem as
bad from Tenniswift is what I'm hearing.
Speaker 2 (01:10:32):
But you've got the regardless, and you've got the people
that go who actually listen to music and go maybe
not maybe they've they've not, then they've lost something or something.
But she did say I think in the news that
she thinks she might have drawn up a bit because
her songs are now going to be more about love
because she's now married or engaged to someone. Well, yeah,
(01:10:57):
she's more like in her lovey dovey stage and kind
of thing. That's where she mostly put her songwright Now
I remember that now from the news that I watched
in the coming weeks, And that's where she thought it
may differ fans because obviously she's not singing about like
what she used to sing about, so it's just a
different creative process, So I do understand that.
Speaker 4 (01:11:17):
I don't mind that though I think that with Taylorspip
in general, it's the actual it's the whole style, which
is what's changed. I don't That's what I don't like,
because I like, I prefer the countryside literally, like her
country point View, and like the early pop just simply
because it was, like, I mean, one of the albums,
(01:11:37):
What Come Up, Spark's Fly came out of twenty ten,
so is that era again, which is like prime for us.
But I think the new stuff it just it's got
this like weird, dreariness to it that I just don't
enjoy at all. It's every song sounds the same, which
is a terrible thing to say, really, but it literally does.
Speaker 2 (01:11:55):
Most sounds the same.
Speaker 3 (01:11:58):
Yeah, but it's not. It's not just that, it's just
some reason really sounds.
Speaker 2 (01:12:04):
I do where it goes like with creative like in
the creative field and stuff. I like where an artist
in any field gets inspiraate inspired, or their their fluid
changes because of their environment or something that's happened whatever.
(01:12:25):
I like how it does an impact of what their
art will become at that particular moment. That's how art
evolves and all that. And that's why I like being
created myself because that does affect me with like environmental
changes or mood or thing. You create something different and
what you feel at that particular moment, so it will
(01:12:46):
affect different people at the time. But then it's a
creation at the end of ada And yeah, so I
do understand why she was coming from where she thinks
it may give fans a little bit different because she's
come from a different perspective because of her mood is
more about being in love and all that. When she
used to what she used to like make songs about
when she was in a particulars mind state or environment
(01:13:09):
and stuff. So I do get that. It's just it's
just different for a lot of people.
Speaker 3 (01:13:15):
Yeah, so yeah, we should probably move on.
Speaker 2 (01:13:20):
I will take away from the K Pop team Hunter's
bit to the to the latest thing that there has
now been mentioned, Rescue. You're gonna like this because you
also have the opinion of anything good animated wise doesn't
necessarily need a live action. Because we had that argument
outside the cinema. Uh no, cinema was the cinema when
(01:13:43):
we saw that poster. Yeah, it was was one of
a cinema where we saw the the cut out of
the live action of Our Train Your Dragon and hang
on a minute, Hang on.
Speaker 1 (01:13:52):
A minute, you're telling me they're making a live action
film about Chinese toilet roll.
Speaker 2 (01:13:58):
No, no, I'm I skipped that for now. I talked
about I talked about Hunters as the song part, and
I was gonna segue into the last part to then
go back up at the top. But yeah, K Pop
Demon Hunter's creator has rejected any ideas to do with
(01:14:20):
a live action for this series. They say it doesn't
need it. There are so many elements of tone and
the comedy comedy that are so suited for animation. It's
really hard to imagine these characters in a live action world.
Do you agree with that, Rescuer, because I know you
have your opinions on.
Speaker 1 (01:14:41):
Surprising Take Care. I'm confused by what they're saying because
the reason I say that is that, well, K Pop
Demon Hunters obviously, you know, the demon part is obviously
you know, not real, but K Pop is real.
Speaker 2 (01:15:01):
Yeah, I think they like their animated choice.
Speaker 1 (01:15:04):
I know, I know, yes, I understand that, but like
I feel like a reimagining of K Pop Demon Hunters,
like you could just like have twice. How many people
are in twice? It's twice the one that quite a few, Okay,
maybe they're not and twice then but like because twice
are in this right you can see them on the charts,
and they worked on the songs, right, like, you could
(01:15:26):
very easily have actual K pop idols, I guess in
K Pop Demon Hunters live action. I feel.
Speaker 2 (01:15:35):
I like to be fair because they they sung in
Korean and all that they so yeah, like it could
work as like a more serious version of the show
because obviously, like a lot of the animating comedy things
may not stick, but it would be interesting to see.
(01:15:56):
But I also see his point of view there. Sorry
their perfects. Can't remember the creators a female or female?
I have to look that up. But yeah, Like there's
a lot of movies now are getting greenlitted for live
action adaptations. There is talks for the My Hero Academia one. Now,
there's talks for the Demons there one. Now because of
(01:16:18):
the success that the success of the movie, they're they're
trying to push it faster to be made and obviously,
the to be fair, the accession of the success of
One Piece that was made into a live action Season
two is coming out next year. So yeah, also about
talking about that tangel a little quickly, but because obviously,
(01:16:41):
like I mentioned, one Piece I found out which I
didn't post in here, which I should have One Piece.
Uh the guy is his name Oda, the original creative
one Piece?
Speaker 1 (01:16:54):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:16:54):
Yeah, he rejected a live action adaptation when Disney tried
to pitch it to them.
Speaker 1 (01:17:03):
Wow.
Speaker 2 (01:17:03):
I found that quite refreshing, Like they didn't say yes
to Disney, But yeah, I do agree with like this.
They they could not. It could probably ruin Capabli if
they made a live action, but it could also bring
in more fans. I know it's like blown up anyway,
but it could bring in more fans if it was
(01:17:26):
more live action, because a lot of people do. Some
people would like live action stuff and not realize it's
an anime or an animation. Sorry. For instance, like I
wouldn't have got my parents to sit down and watch
actual anime One Piece with me, but I got them
to watch the live action one and they really enjoyed it.
So like there is a market for both in aspects
(01:17:50):
like if you get it right and the people who
watched the original show enjoy it, then the people who
don't watch the anime will enjoy it as well, and
there's more of a fan base for it if you
get both sides to enjoy the live action, because if
the anime, if the people who watch the original watch
their live action and don't like the live action, that's
(01:18:12):
when it usually flops before anyone else gets to see it.
Kind of thing because obviously was it the one that
flopped was obviously the the Definite one and the Cowboy
Bebop one. Yeah, so yeah, if you get the original
people who watch the original on side first, it will
(01:18:33):
then be like, yeah, you'll get the more fans from
the people who don't watch the original and watch the
live action one. Like how I've proven that fact? Like
the One Piece one did well. I got my parents
to watch it. They loved it, and they don't watch
anime anyway, so you know it's good. Yes. As Rescue mentioned,
(01:18:57):
one of my stories is about toylets good old toilets.
I was going to mention that during the drink section,
to like tie those two together, but then I went
on a tangent. How would you feel, Rescuer and guy
if you when required to go. You to use a
public restroom, you are required to watch an AD or
(01:19:21):
pay with your phone.
Speaker 1 (01:19:24):
I mean having to is already kind of normal, unfortunately,
particularly in Europe.
Speaker 2 (01:19:31):
Yeah yeah, but if you had the choice of paying
or watching an AD, which one would you do?
Speaker 1 (01:19:38):
I mean, knowing me, probably well, it depends how desperate
I am, but I'd probably watched the.
Speaker 4 (01:19:43):
Yeah bursting yeah, watching it? What's paying for us? I mean,
if you, if you have the choice, I mean, watching ads,
is you waste time? But I mean it was a
thirty second ad. It's not exactly like you're probably real struggle.
Speaker 2 (01:19:56):
That you watch and there's no way to exit off
the app of the ad, and then when you try
to you like close the application you're trying to require
in the first place, then you have to start the
ad all over again until like the little X thing
comes in the corner. But as as I as this,
this actually does say this has been implemented in Chinese
(01:20:19):
public toilets, so nowhere near the UK or America or
any other places yet, but it wouldn't surprise me because
a lot of now public facilities are wanting to go
private and you and make you pay for them. So
it will keep them running. Basically, there's a lot of
(01:20:40):
towns and cities and seaside places that are trying to
implement more paid facilities.
Speaker 1 (01:20:48):
Yeah. I hate that there because I mean it's literally
using the loan like it should be free. You know.
Speaker 2 (01:20:55):
I think we would have more nice things if people
knew how to look after a restaurant, because going into
a public one, I am surprised how things happen. There's
toilet roll on the ceiling. One toilet's broken. I don't
know how piss on the floor. I don't know. This
country is crazy.
Speaker 3 (01:21:14):
Well that makes sense.
Speaker 2 (01:21:16):
And then you go into somewhere like Japan and everywhere
spang and clean and like those I want to try.
They didn't put those in when we were there, but
I do want to try when we go back. Those
you go into and you close the door and it
goes from sea through to opaque toilets, the public ones.
Speaker 3 (01:21:39):
Why do you want to try that? I mean, the
toilet is just it's still a toilet.
Speaker 2 (01:21:43):
Yeah, but like it's these toilets sea through and then
you walk in and then you close the door and
when you lock it, the glass goes frosted.
Speaker 1 (01:21:52):
Do you think that this is deep as well, because
this is possibly the tenth time we've talked about these
specific they probably don't even exist anymore. How do you
do that?
Speaker 2 (01:22:06):
Because walk around and they point them out.
Speaker 1 (01:22:13):
How often they will part these specific toilets?
Speaker 2 (01:22:16):
Well, depending on Connors live streams or Christ's live streams
or Pete's live streams, they will pass those toilets. There
was one time where it did break once where someone
used to load. That was hilarious. But other than that, yeah,
it's something to try. I know it's a bit scary,
(01:22:39):
but hey, future glass that goes see through goes frosted
when you lock the door. Hell yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:22:48):
Through? What is this crazy.
Speaker 2 (01:22:50):
Class that does it? And there's multi colored. We could
find our colors and be like the thunderbird can come
out of our particular colors. Yes, sah.
Speaker 1 (01:23:06):
So next step on this we have PlayStation Plus games
brought up by guy. I mean, do you have any
strong opinion on any of the games?
Speaker 4 (01:23:16):
These are simply well there there bringing games of course,
so you need to no, so you need to you know,
obviously have the premium membership for it.
Speaker 3 (01:23:24):
There's actually a strong I was literally sorry earlier.
Speaker 4 (01:23:28):
Today because it gone out today and it's just a
very strong lineup and it's quite cool. It's actually done
horror fiend based obviously for Halloween.
Speaker 3 (01:23:38):
But you've got Signing Hill.
Speaker 4 (01:23:39):
Two on there, which I've became out this here last week.
Speaker 3 (01:23:42):
I can't remember. That's a huge game. Yeah, and it's
Until Dawn. That's the like the remake.
Speaker 2 (01:23:49):
Of Storytelling Guy, and you had like different options or
if I'm thinking of a completely different game.
Speaker 4 (01:23:56):
Oh yeah, there's options, but I mean that's a very
like what that's such a basic thing, like Storytelling Guy.
Speaker 1 (01:24:04):
I think you're thinking of Heavy Rain.
Speaker 7 (01:24:05):
Maybe, Well, I don't know, because I mean there's there's
a guy that you're in like a therapy session and
he's like talking to you, and that the stuff he
says to you changes what happens in the story.
Speaker 5 (01:24:20):
And obviously the episode stories are like the you can
play the game and try and keep all the characters
alive or some characters might die.
Speaker 3 (01:24:31):
Or well that's whole point.
Speaker 4 (01:24:37):
Yeah, well that's well, that's a lot of I mean,
it's dark pictures like First Dark Pitched Anthology, the first
game predessessed that, so it's yeah, it's all of those
type of games. So there the games that you made
choices in people die, some people don't, or you're obviously
to get like the plant trophy everybody to survive.
Speaker 3 (01:24:58):
But yeah, and I that that's a that's a good game.
Speaker 4 (01:25:02):
Those two are quite solid games anyway, like they're they're
quite It's hell two is literally the game I actually
really want to play. So I'm like, hey, that's gonna
be the first thing I'm gonna be doing playing hill to,
you know.
Speaker 3 (01:25:15):
And it's it's quite a decent.
Speaker 4 (01:25:17):
Lineup really, And Tech and Free is the classic game
like Tech and Free we all remember that, even though
I guarantee neither you do.
Speaker 3 (01:25:26):
But oh man, what which.
Speaker 2 (01:25:30):
Tag tournament?
Speaker 4 (01:25:32):
That was?
Speaker 3 (01:25:33):
Tech and Tag game? Tag Tournament.
Speaker 2 (01:25:48):
Used to always play Tick and Tag Tournament and I
was always choose the alien character with the sword the rest.
Speaker 3 (01:25:57):
I'm you are ugly as hell?
Speaker 2 (01:26:01):
Oh wait, you still are.
Speaker 3 (01:26:02):
I'm kidding. I'm kidding really quick. Yeah, yeah, yeah, good, good.
Speaker 4 (01:26:11):
A good line up, and it's it's about time because
the last few months have been pretty poor on it,
so I will be I mean, that is Silent Hills
already the money worth there.
Speaker 2 (01:26:22):
So my places are a big update today because I
haven't turned it on quite well. And then I found
out I don't have live anymore or placeas plus lives,
x live you live, And I had a look, and
I mean, is.
Speaker 1 (01:26:42):
There even such a thing as XBO There isn't that
doesn't exist, right, you know it?
Speaker 3 (01:26:48):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (01:26:49):
But it was x Live Gold before, wasn't it? But
like when you buy online for your Xbox, now, what
what do you what's the name of the product.
Speaker 3 (01:26:56):
Well, I think it may be the same.
Speaker 4 (01:26:59):
It just you think no, because there was at least
when I had gained series, it was two different It
was two different things, like it was game Pass and
then it also included gold, which you know, is it.
Speaker 1 (01:27:14):
Game Pass Core? Like I can't find Xbox like, oh wait, no,
that's how unavailable? Uh? How to pay for online play
on my Xbox? I'm a subscription so you have Xbox laugh.
(01:27:35):
I don't know how to.
Speaker 2 (01:27:36):
Like, I don't try to purchase, uh. And the three
tiers came up, and I was shocked to find the
premium is one hundred and twenty quid a year. The
next one was like eighty summer, and then just the
normal one like I always buy, is now sixty quid
a month a year.
Speaker 1 (01:27:58):
Amount of I'm sucking.
Speaker 2 (01:27:59):
Dumb, and the premium works out ten pounds a month.
The other one works out five pounds a month, so it's.
Speaker 4 (01:28:07):
Like, yeah, I mean it depends what it depends what
you use, because I mean I use the premium enough
to validate buying it. However, recently I have been thinking, like,
you know, the games aren't I haven't been great there
coming on to it, and I'm just a bit like
getting annoyed.
Speaker 3 (01:28:23):
But this this month hopefully will save some of that.
Speaker 2 (01:28:27):
Games. And if there is a game that I want
to play, I will just buy it as they're waiting
for it to be added.
Speaker 3 (01:28:33):
Yeah. I don't do that though, because I don't. I'm
not even waiting for stuff.
Speaker 4 (01:28:36):
I will buy games that I want to come about
now and the stuff has added is well, I mean,
it depends what you want, depends how much you play
gamesn't it?
Speaker 3 (01:28:46):
Because I play a variety of games.
Speaker 4 (01:28:48):
Many different genres, so being able to play them on
here is ideal because I don't need to buy necessarily.
Speaker 2 (01:28:56):
The new PlayStation PlayStation, the new Xbox game thing that
they brought out where everyone's like not everyone was trying
to cancel their Xbox memberships was the fact is one
of the things was, uh, you want a game, a
brand new game, they get added a year after they
come out, so what do you do?
Speaker 3 (01:29:18):
But also priced Tike was huge.
Speaker 2 (01:29:21):
I said it was one that try to cancel their
subscription and it made the site crash. But yeah, it's
just like do you wait a whole year just to
play a new game you want to play or do
you buy the game when it first? Defeas the object
of having game Pass.
Speaker 4 (01:29:41):
Yeah, it's a shame because game Pass was the best
value on the market for.
Speaker 3 (01:29:46):
Gaming back when it came out.
Speaker 4 (01:29:48):
There was nothing better than it because it would be
day one releases. It would be like a huge backlog
of stuff that you could play.
Speaker 2 (01:29:55):
Like renting, So as soon as you were canceling, you've
lost all aspect of that game and you can't play
or you don't even own it. It was just game.
Speaker 1 (01:30:06):
But I don't care about that if, like, if the
price is good and the quantity of games is good,
and I don't really mind that because I'm getting in
such a good deal of what I get with the
time I have it anyway, but actual game past, I mean,
I think just like this past week thing or last
week they increased the price, right, and did you see
that their website, the cancelation website was down.
Speaker 2 (01:30:26):
Because it was getting I told that, I said that,
well yeah.
Speaker 1 (01:30:32):
But still it's like when it's like that, yeah, I
may as well just buy some games, right, Yes, more.
Speaker 3 (01:30:41):
Did you get hiked up like thirty quite a month
or something?
Speaker 1 (01:30:44):
Well, I don't know the numbers. Yeah, I don't know
the numbers. But why did see said is it's it's
second one price increase in the last twelve months, which
seems moncous to me. Yeah, it's like insane with.
Speaker 4 (01:30:58):
What they had, Like, I mean, I just don't understand
why they need they feel they need to do it
because they already it must have had so many people
that were so happy with game paths. I mean, I
know it's probably dwindled a bit mainly, and that's my
Sooft's fault for basically turning around and being like, well,
we're not going to will we release first part of
games whatever, or they're going to go on to every console,
(01:31:19):
They're going to go on everything.
Speaker 3 (01:31:21):
They're not. They have nothing to release.
Speaker 4 (01:31:22):
So it's really that that's the issue where you look
at PlayStation. It's hence why PlayStation have never put like
their first party games onto premium on day one, basically
the big ones, because it's like, well, we know we're
sell them.
Speaker 3 (01:31:35):
We know people will buy.
Speaker 4 (01:31:36):
It because because what we're renowned for.
Speaker 2 (01:31:39):
Who don't I hate monopolizing, But companies that don't monopolize
and try to do price hikes or big changes because
other places are offering other things, they will lose customers.
The only time. It only works if a company is
monopolized and they do that stuff. The people have got
(01:32:03):
nowhere to go because there's nothing else to competition with.
It's scummy. But that's how that will.
Speaker 3 (01:32:10):
Be the issue Xbox, this will be.
Speaker 2 (01:32:13):
The issue because they let the games go another consoles.
Speaker 4 (01:32:17):
This will be the issue with the next gen of
console though, because you've got obviously PlayStation six, which they
basically already said that people are testing the PlayStation six like,
which they do years in advance, and they think it
will come out in twenty twenty eight, I think is
the date they're looking at, and it's like, well, okay,
so you got the new PlayStation, great, what's going to
(01:32:38):
be the thing to go against it? Because are Microsoft
going to bother releasing another console if there's the fact that, well,
we've got no games for it, we're not going to
have anyone with all our games will be shared, but
PlayStation will have their exclusives still, which make a huge
difference because you've got exclusives that you will not get
anywhere else. I mean a no PlayStation will eventually release
on PC now, but it's.
Speaker 3 (01:33:01):
Still an Xbox. It's still not well, yeah, it will come.
Speaker 4 (01:33:05):
I mean they are taking like they are here, let's
slowly leaking out. I mean we're going to get like
star Field, remember Gears Wars come out. Horizon will never
buy those.
Speaker 2 (01:33:20):
I will buy it when I know that we're going
to buy it.
Speaker 4 (01:33:24):
You have to also be willing to play on the
hardsty though, because we have to get platinum.
Speaker 2 (01:33:29):
So if I must see if I can survive, you will.
Speaker 3 (01:33:34):
You'll have to just stay by and come up. Let
me do all the way.
Speaker 2 (01:33:40):
That was always my bits.
Speaker 4 (01:33:42):
Yeah, I mean, like once again, though, it's weird to
see it all on PlayStation. It is a shame because
I'm definitely not an Xbox or Microsoft hate it in
the terms of like, well, we all know before the
PS four three sixty is where we were.
Speaker 2 (01:33:56):
All we had console was the three sixty.
Speaker 3 (01:34:02):
Yeah, because p S three wasn't as good like as
much as.
Speaker 4 (01:34:05):
Like it may depending on what where you look at it,
but the online was nowhere near as good and.
Speaker 3 (01:34:11):
That they had.
Speaker 2 (01:34:14):
But it was a joint Christmas present for me and
my brother, just randomly one Christmas. We didn't even like
think to ask for one or ask for it. We
just were giving it. And then that started the whole
gaming career.
Speaker 4 (01:34:27):
I yeah, I actually had a three sixty and then
I had the original white one and with Halo three,
and I remember selling it because I was like, I.
Speaker 3 (01:34:36):
Don't really want it anymore.
Speaker 4 (01:34:37):
And then I obviously had my PS three and then
suddenly I don't know what happened.
Speaker 3 (01:34:41):
That I was just like, oh man, I really wanted
three sixty again.
Speaker 4 (01:34:44):
So I went and bought one from a c X
or something like the Elite one, the black one, which
is I had that for absolute well, I think it's
still got it.
Speaker 2 (01:34:53):
Saying that, I just it was crazy at my feet
in a box because I hit it on at my
desk because I was supposed to sort it out to
sell it, but I might keep it is The Connect
and this Black three sixty Elite, so.
Speaker 3 (01:35:14):
What connects? Gross?
Speaker 2 (01:35:19):
I love the Connect. The Connect was my go to game,
the game really yeah everything, Yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:35:25):
Like you had a wheel or something at that instead,
I know you.
Speaker 1 (01:35:28):
Were playing Real Steel in that era.
Speaker 2 (01:35:32):
What was was Real Still on three sixty or is
it on PlayStation my idea maybe I think it was
PlayStation four. Yeah, I was just obsessed with Real Still.
I just tried not to spend money on it, to
be fair. I'd even know that was Hugh Jackman at
(01:35:53):
the time. I was obsessed with Real Steel and it
took me a hot minute to work out the Wolverine
guy and the guy from A Great Showman was and
Real Steel was all.
Speaker 3 (01:36:09):
Huge, huge, Wow, are you crazy?
Speaker 2 (01:36:13):
I know, Maen guy? And then I was Real Steel
and then I didn't work out that he was also
Hugh Jackman.
Speaker 1 (01:36:22):
What's the worst guy? What's worst?
Speaker 3 (01:36:24):
That?
Speaker 1 (01:36:24):
Or me not realizing the main guy in the matrix
was Kanye Reeves until I was Terrible Man.
Speaker 3 (01:36:34):
So different.
Speaker 4 (01:36:35):
I guess he does look different, I guess, but like.
Speaker 3 (01:36:41):
His faces exactly what.
Speaker 1 (01:36:44):
I felt like he was giving off Kanu Reeves like
young Janns.
Speaker 3 (01:36:49):
Just think.
Speaker 8 (01:36:51):
This guy I can see this guy. He's been like
shame he's not Wait from an angle, yeah, exactly.
Speaker 3 (01:37:03):
Are both pretty bad? Both pretty bad.
Speaker 1 (01:37:06):
Do you know what's worse? It's because I said this
at work, right, and we were talking about haven't you
seen anything with cane Is in? And I have played
the start of Cyberpunch. I played a bit of Sidern
that's obviously not a movie, but I played that. But
what other films have I seen with Canes in other
than The Matrix one month ago?
Speaker 3 (01:37:23):
Now?
Speaker 1 (01:37:24):
So I'm like, I don't know. So I go on
his filmography on Wikipedia, and yess what the only other
film I've seen with Keanu Reeves in it? And you
won't guess it's not anime? Well it is animated though.
Speaker 3 (01:37:45):
Oh it's gonna be like, I don't know.
Speaker 1 (01:37:49):
You don't even know that he's in the thing. I'm
gonna say because I didn't either, and I have definitely
seen it and you probably have to. Toy Story four
is he Yeah, he plays the stuntman that's meant to
be like evil and evil type. I forget the name
of it now, Yeah, that's Nus apparently. So that's the
(01:38:11):
only Kanu Reeves movie i'd seen until I watched The
Matrix and didn't know knu Rus was in it until
I say afterwards, you know, that makes it kind of
want to play cyberpunk And he says because ves like
wait what, because.
Speaker 2 (01:38:31):
Like I love it was in the Matrix and all that,
but then he like disappeared for me, like it just
seemed like he disappeared and then just reappeared in Cyberpunk
with like long hair and a beard. It was middle
Like I never seen anything with him in in the
in the nineties, That's what I mean.
Speaker 1 (01:38:52):
That's just like the John Wick movies was big for.
Speaker 3 (01:38:54):
Him, right, Yeah, of course they were huge.
Speaker 2 (01:38:57):
At least the first I was like a movie personally,
like oh, I'm going to watch this because it's made
by this person or whatever. I just watched what was
ever on TV or what my parents were watching or something.
But now I'm like obsessed with movies and anime and
all that I choose that I can actually choose a
noticeable noticed voice actors and characters and who's been and what. Yeah,
(01:39:20):
it's it's a lot different now, but yeah, to.
Speaker 3 (01:39:21):
Me is quite easy to.
Speaker 2 (01:39:28):
For me, was in the Matrix and then he disappeared
and then he reappeared as a long head bearded man
in cyberpunk. That's that's the story for me.
Speaker 4 (01:39:40):
So many you should literally both watch I mean, speed
is like one that's huge.
Speaker 3 (01:39:47):
How both you.
Speaker 2 (01:39:51):
Runaway? No, yeah, I've seen that. I didn't think that
was carriage.
Speaker 3 (01:40:02):
How again, it looks like.
Speaker 2 (01:40:05):
Like I forgot it was. But I forgot it was.
That's why I was saying it was when Matrix today Cyberpluk.
Speaker 4 (01:40:15):
Forgettable face somehow, even though he doesn't look.
Speaker 2 (01:40:21):
His name though, because of cyberpunk.
Speaker 3 (01:40:25):
Oh how.
Speaker 2 (01:40:28):
About because the media enginet. I don't know my age.
I was always surprising now, but you're always in I know.
That's how I know Kars.
Speaker 3 (01:40:46):
Exactly. That's crazy. How you two honestly? Honestly you too embarrassed.
Speaker 1 (01:40:55):
I've seen the Simpsons parody of speed, so that counts, right.
Speaker 2 (01:40:58):
Speed is key.
Speaker 3 (01:40:59):
It's there is that such a thing.
Speaker 1 (01:41:01):
There was something with a bus the cartgo unders and
speed that I can't remember there.
Speaker 2 (01:41:06):
That's usually in like most things because obviously like the
bomb will go off.
Speaker 1 (01:41:10):
But they didn't.
Speaker 2 (01:41:11):
They did it with a train as well. That's why. No,
there was a runaway train. Sorry that was the movie
where a guy put the slow brake on to the
train to get off the train to then move the
track so he can get onto the next track. But
as he was coming back, the brake lifted itself and
the train started going faster. And then there was no
(01:41:32):
driver on this train. And then they spent like the
whole movie trying to get hold of this train before
it a lot before it derailed and crashed somewhere made a
huge mess everywhere. So yeah, that was the premise of
a movie. I don't know what's cooled though. I just
remember the plot, right, it's your turn now, mister, and
(01:41:57):
I want it all.
Speaker 1 (01:41:57):
Oh yeah, yeah, if I've had a lot of things
in this thing. I'm flying out tomorrow morning in I
don't know about. It was thirteen hours from recording this.
If you're listening to this, it's probably gone live while
I'm in the airport, because I believe that's when I
will upload, will not upload, but you know I'll post this.
(01:42:21):
I'm flying in Germany for SIM Racing Expo this weekend.
Speaker 3 (01:42:24):
Yay.
Speaker 1 (01:42:25):
It will be my third year on the trot there.
I am there as a credited member of the press
this year, which is rather cool, and I will try
out various sim racing things. I will certainly try out
Project motor Racing, which is one of you know, the
sort of new game that is available there to try
one of the first places you can try that. I
(01:42:47):
know some gaming expo in Chicago a couple months ago,
but it will be here as well. I will try
that and share my thoughts. I will be meeting with
p XN because I believe they have some new products

the back.
Speaker 1 (01:44:50):
No, it's well, actually okay, actually it's best I could
find anyway, but it is the brand is Champion, which
you know. I just why, like genuine question.
Speaker 2 (01:45:04):
Why I'm a winner. I'm going to be a champion
of everything. But that's that's guy's thing. That's not it's
just a brand name. But anyway, I think back to
the stop posting about among us meme because the guy
talks about how his champion underwear logo looks like and
among us. So I will now think no, But it
(01:45:27):
was like, well, that's pretty funny that I'm going to
buy this one, isn't it like it has to be
this one. I haven't tried it on you anyway, So
maybe I will not be wearing that this weekend, but
I'll do that before I pack up this evening. Yeah, basically, potentially,
(01:45:49):

It's not a Donald Trump hat, is a Nismo hat
from Nissan in Japan. It just happens to.

Be read yeah, doesn't do nice to me, uh, but yeah,
bright red hat with yellow hoodie mm hmm. I would.
Well maybe if it was purple it might look better.
Mariah hoody.
Speaker 1 (01:46:13):
Could be big. But yeah, I think that's everything on
our list of things for today. It's a little short,
but that's not my fault.
Speaker 2 (01:46:27):
I didn't most the news articles. But yeah, Rescy needs
to pack and have a nice trip, yes everyone.
