(00:04):
Fire now everyone. Word processing documentshave been the primary method of creating long
form digital texts since the very inceptionof the personal computer. In today's matchup,

(00:24):
a sentient, hardworking spell check programsquares off against an air latent document
that refuses to be corrected. Onthe surface, it may appear to be
the purest example of right versus wrong. However, like all communication efforts,

(00:44):
context is everything. My name isAaron David Harris, and this is tails
of fist and fireballs. We areinside of a blank word document. Above

(01:10):
the document is a productivity ribbon withthe standard list of tabs, home file
format, insert review. A sentencebegins to type itself onto the center of
the document. It reads I wantice cream, a milkshake, and a
chocolate cake with sprinkles. There areno commas or punctuation. Soon after the

(01:38):
sentence finishes typing itself, a rectangularred block fades into view on the bottom
left corner of the document. Thered block flips and tumbles towards the sentence.
Suddenly, the sentence glows with ared aura. After a moment,
the ore goes away, and nowthe sentence is changed. It reads,

(02:02):
I want ice cream comma, amilkshake comma, and a chocolate cake with
sprinkles. Period. Red Block fixedthe sentence to make it grammatically correct.
The newly corrected sentence fades away.Another sentence begins to type itself on the

(02:23):
document. This one reads I goto mall again. Red Block flips and
tumbles towards the sentence. The samered aura glows around it and the sentence
spaces are created and more words areincluded, and now the sentence reads I'm

(02:46):
going to the mall period again.Red Block fixed the sentence to make it
grammatically correct. Red Block continues itswork. Sentences with grammar and syntax are
typed onto the document. Red Blockfixes them with its red aura. As

(03:08):
red Block completes its work, ablack hexagon slowly hovers down until it is
behind the red block. In themiddle of the hexagon is a word that
reads the boss. The boss usesits black aura to change one of Red
Block's corrected sentences in order to communicatea message. The message reads block step

(03:37):
into my office. Red Block usesits red aura to change the boss's message
yes, sir. Red Block flipsand tumbles until it reaches the top of
the productivity ribbon. It accesses thefile tab, scrolls down on the menu
and saves the document. Then thered Block and the Boss fade away.

(04:09):
We are now inside of a spreadsheetdocument. The boss reappears near the top
of this document. The cells onthe spreadsheet are filled with various names and
numbers. Near the bottom of thespreadsheet, Red Block appears. Red Block
uses this aura to change some ofthe worst on the document into a message,

(04:33):
is this about my promotion requests? The Boss's black aura changes the words
I don't have the budget, notfor a block anyway. Things are bad
at home. We really need themoney. There is one thing, but

(04:55):
I need you to fix the olEV document. I can't do that,
sir. No one can fix thelev document, and I'll consider promoting you.
Before Red Block can respond, theBoss sends him away. Red Block

(05:29):
reappears inside of thel ev document. This word document is very similar to a
normal word document, but with slightdifferences. The ribbon tabs are slightly off,
some of the words on the tabsare misspelled, The document itself is
slightly crooked. The entire document flickerswith a dark yellow tinge. In the

(05:56):
middle of the document, there isa sentence, it reads, so long
as you have love, you arenever alone. This sentence has no commas
or punctuation. Red Bot appears atthe bottom left corner of the screen and
he attempts to change the sentence withits aura. It now reads, so

(06:17):
long as you have love comma youare never alone period. Red block has
added the comma and the period tomake the sentence grammatically correct. However,
a dark yellow aura is lifted offof the ribbon above It oozes down the

(06:39):
document and deletes the comma and theperiod from the sentence. Then the ooze
travels to the right bottom corner ofthe document, adjacent from the red block
and forms itself into a yellow block. Yellow block flips and tumbles and laughs

(07:02):
maniacally in its place. Red Blockadds the colma back to the sentence.
Yellow Block uses a yellow aura todraw crude X over the word love above
it. Yellow block replaces the wordwith farts angry. Red block launches itself

(07:26):
at the sentence, knocking the wordfarts away. Red Block corrects the sentence
again. This time it stays ontop of the sentence and launches several red
energy beams at the yellow block.Yellow block tumbles and dodges the attacks until

(07:51):
he is directly under the sentence.Yellow Block uses this aura to part the
sentence in half, falls through thespaces. Yellow block uses its aura to
encase the Red block inside of acrude yellow cage, then tosses it back
to the left side of the document, sending the Red block tumbling in pain.

(08:16):
As the red block tries to escape, Yellow Block again scratches out the
word love from the sentence. Thistime it is replaced with the word roaches.
Red block breaks free. The twoblocks move closer. They both vibrate
angrily at one another. Then abattle for sentence supremacy ensues. The document

(08:46):
itself becomes more and more damaged. As the battle rages on, tabs are
destroyed, new sentences are created andobliterated, leaving behind a debris of scattered
letters. Margins are altered in strangeand disorienting ways. The incorrect sentence,
however, remains intact, and ultimatelyRed Block is defeated. Red Block uses

(09:18):
its aura to create a simple oneword message why angry. Yellow Block flies
up to the sentence so long asyou have love, you are never alone.

(09:39):
Yellow Block copies it, then pastsit below the original. Then the
yellow block angrily rearranges the copied sentenceuntil it reads, what if no one
loves me? Red Block uses itsaura to make a copy of Yellow Block's
message. Red Block changes it tocommunicate his message, My job is to

(10:05):
fix words. I never considered theirmeaning. Yellow block response, can you
fix me? Red Block tumbles aroundfor a moment, Then it flips towards
the yellow block and lands on topof it. The two blocks merge until

(10:28):
they become one Orange block. Orangeblock fixes the entire document with its orange
orb. It cleans up the tabs, fixes the margins, straightens the document
page, and erases all the letterdebris. Finally, Orange Block floats to

(10:50):
the incorrect sentence and rearranges it toread so long as we have love Comma,
we are never alone. Period. The Orange block accesses the file tab
in the above ribbon. In thesave as menu, it rearranges the letter

(11:11):
in the document from O L EV to L O V E. The
document is saved as the Love Document. To learn more about Tails of Fists
