Speaker 1 (00:12):
To my children. You are everything to me. I'm sure
it's sound to believe that given what I have left behind,
all the needs that I did not meet, or the
questions that I can never answer, or the love that
you so rightly deserved, I was not good to you,
(00:35):
and as a result, the four of you are not
good to each other, all because of the company that
I sacrificed so much to build, the company that is
now in need of a successor. To that end, the
Opus family of battle Royale, activated upon my death, will
(00:57):
determine which of you will lead the company into the future.
I know this is not ourdeal, but it is the
only viable method of bringing world together and establishing above
forward for the instructions can be found in the documents
attached to this message. Yours in love, Clifton.
Speaker 2 (01:25):
The House of Finishers, featuring the voice talents of Chloe Elmore,
Adam Riley, Patrick Searan, Charlotte Ann and Austin Robertson as
Clifton sor. My name is Aaron David Harris, and this
(01:49):
is the next entry. Entails of fist and fireballs. In
the silence of the living room, the four siblings attempt
to process what they just heard Clifton Alexander Opus, senior,
(02:13):
legendary philanthropists, founder of Opuscourt, inventor of the Finisher exosuit models.
To the rest of the world, Clifton was a great man,
but to his children not so much. The living room
was a microcosm of the entire mansion, populated with plush
(02:37):
and luxurious furniture, its brown walls adorned with exquisite artwork
mounted on beautifully crafted frames. As the large blocks of
wood gently burned inside of the brickstone fireplace, the four
siblings remained noiseless and dumbfounded the gravity of their father's words.
Speaker 3 (02:58):
Soaking in.
Speaker 2 (03:01):
Dawn was the oldest, and she always saw herself as
Clifton's proxy, honor bound to carry out his demands, no
matter how difficult or distasteful, and so despite her obvious reservations,
she would be ready to comply with his final request. Compliance, however,
(03:23):
was the last thing anyone would expect from Jonah, Clifton's
second child and oldest son. If Dawn was the family's
loyal knight, then Jonah was its ronan, having been estranged
for many years after making it clear that he wanted
no parts of the Opus legacy. Clifton Junior or c J,
(03:48):
was the third child and youngest boy. CJ had often
been at the sharp end of his father's verbal abuse,
and as recompense, CJ took every available at advantage of
his father's money and prestige, the best schools, the best cars,
the best clothes, the best parties, the best excursions. It
(04:11):
was never enough. And then there was Ashley, the youngest
right and positive to a fault. However, even she is
perplexed by her father's last directive.
Speaker 4 (04:24):
I can't believe it. Dad is making us use our
suits to fight each other.
Speaker 5 (04:31):
Well, at least we know now what we have to do.
Speaker 6 (04:35):
Yeah, not to be crash, but there's gotta be some
mental instability clause. We can go through with the attorneys,
right because based on all that BS, Dad was clearly
on some high level meds before he croaked. J.
Speaker 7 (04:52):
Don't talk about Dad like that.
Speaker 5 (04:53):
Like what.
Speaker 6 (04:55):
I can't say croaked? What would you prefer? Ashley expired, yacked,
Sniffin' worms, pushing Daisy's banging.
Speaker 5 (05:05):
Enough both of you. This isn't just about the company.
This is everything, his will and testament, his entire estate,
all the homes, all the assets, all of it. So
can you at least wait for the Battle Royale to
start before tearing each other's heads off?
Speaker 6 (05:24):
Why, Dawn, we know Dad left the access codes to
his accounts with you, So instead of fighting, how's about
we just punch in those numbers, get inside and divide
everything up four quarters down the middle, easy piecy.
Speaker 2 (05:42):
On the desk next to the recording device is a
neat stack of letters and professional documents, all bearing the
Opuscorp emblem. Dawn rifles through them until she finds the
one that she's looking for. This she approaches CIJ, pointing
to the black voted colds underneath the printed instruction.
Speaker 5 (06:00):
See bank access is limited. It's all tied to the
Battle Royal.
Speaker 2 (06:07):
CJ takes the document and reads through it. Ashley joins
the peeking her head over his shoulders and squinting her
eyes curiously.
Speaker 4 (06:15):
So Dad linked the bank codes to our suits, to
our finishers.
Speaker 5 (06:22):
That's how the Battle Royal works. We have to fight
each other in our finishers. The bank codes will be
delivered to the last suits standing.
Speaker 4 (06:32):
Is there any way we can just hack into our
exosuits and get the codes?
Speaker 6 (06:37):
All OPISCRP technologies protected by a custom built AEX five
three hundred and fifty six bit encryption no hacks, babe. Hey, well,
looks like we get to have some family fun time
after all.
Speaker 5 (06:55):
Jonah, you're awfully quiet.
Speaker 8 (07:00):
I've got bigger things to worry about than this clown show.
Speaker 4 (07:02):
Hey, this clown show is your family. Jonah.
Speaker 9 (07:05):
You're a part of this too, No, I'm not.
Speaker 8 (07:07):
Actually, I don't care about Dad's assets. The only reason
I came is to see if anything going on here
is going to impact my taxes or legal status. So
whatever this Battle Royale is, count me out.
Speaker 7 (07:18):
Hold on done? Can Jonah just like leave?
Speaker 4 (07:28):
Can we do the Battle Royale without him?
Speaker 5 (07:30):
Possibly? But it wouldn't be simple. The Battle Royale was
designed to determine a clear successor to the company and
to his estate. Refusing to participate would tie everyone up
in endless paperwork and meetings for months, perhaps even years.
Forfeiting would not completely wash your hands of this, Jonah,
(07:52):
I don't care.
Speaker 8 (07:53):
You want Dad's stuff. You can have it.
Speaker 6 (07:55):
Right, because you don't need it so much better than us.
Speaker 8 (08:03):
I never said that.
Speaker 2 (08:05):
CJ takes several deliberate steps towards Jonah until the two
of them are eye to eye.
Speaker 6 (08:12):
You never do, but you believe it.
Speaker 8 (08:16):
I know you believe it.
Speaker 6 (08:18):
I can smell it on you. But why is that, Jonah?
Because you're the firstborn son, because Dad liked your mom
better than ours.
Speaker 2 (08:32):
Jonah pushes him. Ashley quickly jumps in between them.
Speaker 4 (08:37):
Who whoa, whoa. Okay, Okay, just keep it together here.
Speaker 5 (08:40):
No, Ashley, this is good. This is what our father wanted.
Speaker 8 (08:45):
I don't care what he wanted. I'm not doing it.
I don't need anything from dad.
Speaker 2 (08:50):
Dawn steps forward. Her next few words are spoken very,
very cautiously.
Speaker 5 (08:59):
What about out the needs of your son?
Speaker 8 (09:05):
What did you just say?
Speaker 5 (09:07):
Your son Graham? That's his name right? Four years old
on the autism spectrum, non verbal, occupational therapy sessions, special
education programs, with our father's assets.
Speaker 8 (09:23):
How do you people know about my son?
Speaker 6 (09:26):
We know all about your dummy kid, Jonah.
Speaker 2 (09:30):
What Instantly Jonah swings a violent right hand. His fist
collies into CJ's nose and upper lip, sending him spiraling
to the ground. Jonah, Ashley, you darn grab him and
they struggle to hold him back.
Speaker 9 (09:50):
Good on me, Jonah, go.
Speaker 7 (09:54):
Wait, calm down, calm down. I get it, okay, c J.
It's an embarrassments. That's why Dad always picked you over him,
and he deserves everything you want to do to him
right now. But save it, Jonah, Save it for the
battle Royal. It takes three days to set up.
Speaker 5 (10:14):
After that time, Joe never had to see him or
any of us ever again.
Speaker 2 (10:20):
Jonah looks into Don's eyes, giving careful consideration to her words.
Then he turns his attention to see Ja, his entire
face shaking with volcanic fury. Then Jonah takes a deep breath,
strucks himself loose from Ashley and Dawn, and exits her room.
(10:43):
Dawn turns to CJ and helps him to his feet.
Then she pulls out a handkerchief from her pocket and
has it to him. CJ wipes the blood from his
nose and smiles victoriously.
Speaker 5 (10:58):
You cross the lines.
Speaker 8 (11:02):
Oh.
Speaker 6 (11:03):
If Dad taught me anything, it's how to get under
people's skin.
Speaker 5 (11:10):
So it would appear you think he'll do it.
Speaker 4 (11:13):
Wait a second, I didn't even say I would do it.
Speaker 6 (11:18):
You'll do it, and so will Jonah.
Speaker 5 (11:22):
How can you be so certain?
Speaker 6 (11:25):
I saw it in his eyes Dad's eyes.
Speaker 2 (11:44):
Three days later and the preparations are complete. Inside of
the mansion, the four Opus siblings take an elevator and
travel five miles underground. It is a silent trip. Everyone
knew where they were going, a place simply known as
the Workshop, Clifton Senior's first laboratory space where he began
(12:08):
developing the Finishers. The elevator stops, the doors open, and
the four of them step out. The workshop is a
large square shaped field. The inner walls are embedded with
(12:31):
large sheets of thick metal erected with a complex arrangement
of rigs and shafts creating two levels. At the base
of the bottom level, housed in long fiberglass capsules, are
four exosuits.
Speaker 4 (12:46):
Are finishers.
Speaker 5 (12:52):
Dud must have had some reconditioned there, immaculate.
Speaker 3 (12:57):
Let's get this over with.
Speaker 6 (12:58):
Ooh, somebody's in a hurry to get spanked.
Speaker 5 (13:02):
No, the sooner we get this done. The sooner we
can put this behind us and get Opuscorp back on track.
So grab your activators and let's suit up.
Speaker 2 (13:14):
Attached to the side of each capsule is an exosuit activator,
a metallic touchscreen device that fits around the arm like
a bracelet. Each sibling takes one and slips it on.
Speaker 5 (13:27):
Okay, now, to make it fair, we should all start
from equal positions. There are four of us and four
corners on this level, so let's day.
Speaker 6 (13:38):
Okay, everybody gets a corner. We get it done. She
sh who died and made her leader? Oh wait, asshole.
Speaker 2 (13:50):
The siblings each take a position on opposite corners of
the large field.
Speaker 5 (13:55):
Okay, everyone, The activators are voice operated. Speak finisher's call
sign into the device, then drop your arms. After that,
the activators will produce a signal to your corresponding exosuit,
which will then put.
Speaker 6 (14:11):
It God on, we know how the finishers work. Jesus,
you're just like him? Like who like Dad? Your Dad's splaining?
Speaker 4 (14:22):
Don you do tend to dad'splain?
Speaker 5 (14:24):
Don I do not? I was mostly saying it for
Jonah's benefit. He's the one who hasn't used a finisher
since he ran off. He probably doesn't even remember how to.
Speaker 8 (14:34):
Turn on the fourteen Spain Dragons.
Speaker 2 (14:40):
Screen Spain Dragon.
Speaker 10 (14:46):

most successful finisher models, armored with jet black scales, silver

clawed gothlics extending from his forearms and into his fingers,
a long metallic tail that doubles as a detachable broadsword.
Speaker 4 (15:30):
Okay, then my turn. Activation finis.
Speaker 10 (15:38):

Speaker 2 (15:56):
Ashley's exo suit, the Reindeer Queen, was designed by Clifton
as the ultimate defensive finisher. The suit's green and purple
skin is a mixture of the strongest reflective alloys in
the world. The antlers can be detached and converted into
a pair of hypersonic railgun pistols.
Speaker 7 (16:19):
Well guess I'll go next.
Speaker 5 (16:21):

Speaker 2 (16:48):
The Blood Orca, with its glimmering red and white armor,
was originally designed for underwater warfare. However, under Dog's expert control,
it is proofd to be a powerful and extremely versatile
finisher model mostly due to its speed, precise hand talents,
and balance energy attacks.
Speaker 6 (17:09):
I am just surrounded by amateurs. Now watch and learn

Speaker 3 (17:27):
Awful Controller Future immigrates the hud No One escapes Blue
White Spark. Your future is now.
Speaker 10 (17:48):
Presented by Opus Court.
Speaker 2 (17:54):
In his lifetime, Clifton Opus Senior had designed a total
of one hundred finished. The final ten were his Alpha models,
the newest, fastest, strongest, and most advanced of all the
exo suits, and CJ has one. The White Spider Huntsman,
(18:16):
with its pure white crystal metal skin, is the pinnacle
of finisher technology. On its helmet our twelve glowing red
multidirectional camera eyes, each one equipped with a predictive combat
AI interface.
Speaker 5 (18:31):
All right, we're all set. If Dad's instructions are correct,
this should be pretty simple. We fight until our suit's
power levels reach zero percent. The bank codes will be
delivered to the last finisher standing. Now, let's get to this, CJ.
Speaker 6 (18:48):
Right, lock him up down.
Speaker 2 (18:55):
Suddenly, Don and CJ rush toward Jonah. Don quickly gives
behind Jonah, locks his arm in a four Nelson hold,
and then CJ extends his arms and unleashes a stream
of energy from his metal palms, blasting Jonah's exposed chess.
(19:18):
Jonah goes down. Ashley looks on hopelessly confused.
Speaker 4 (19:26):
Hey, what what are you doing?
Speaker 6 (19:29):
What does it look like? Idiot?
Speaker 7 (19:31):
Ashley.
Speaker 5 (19:32):
The logical thing to do is eliminate the competition one
by one, and the obvious person to start with is Jonah.
He'll be the easiest since his finisher is the oldest.
Speaker 6 (19:44):
Exactly, So stop gawking, get down here and help us,
I Ashley. Jonah abandoned us.
Speaker 5 (19:53):
He doesn't care about you or the company. He doesn't
even want to be here. So get over here and
he bus end this.
Speaker 6 (20:01):
This isn't How can you be so stupid?
Speaker 10 (20:04):
You know what?
Speaker 6 (20:05):
Screw it down. Let's finish off Jonah and then we'll
take her out next.
Speaker 2 (20:12):
Agreed, CJ and Dawn slowly walk over to him. Don's
hands surge with violent red energy.
Speaker 5 (20:22):
Jonah, My finisher has a unique ability blood orca extraction.
It removes the power core of any exo suit, immediately
draining its levels to zero percent. I'm told the initial
shock of a power corps extraction can be quite painful,
but you'll be fine, and then you.
Speaker 6 (20:44):
Can go back to your dummy kid.
Speaker 2 (20:48):
Jonah slowly rises, nursing his ribs before turning his attention
to Ashley.
Speaker 8 (20:53):
Ah winning sweet, but winners are cruel. Dad's famous motto, right, Ashley,
So go ahead join them, fall in line and do
exactly what he wants you to do.
Speaker 2 (21:07):
Ashley frowns, her fists begin to clinch as her suit
glows with an angry econofy of colors.
Speaker 4 (21:15):
No, Jonah, you don't get to lecture me about Dad,
None of you do.
Speaker 2 (21:21):
Dawn shapes one of her glowing red hands into a knife.
Just as he is about to bring it down onto Jonah.
Ashley blasts her in the face with one of her
antler guns. As down tumbles away, Ashley turns her attention.
Speaker 3 (21:37):
To see j.
Speaker 6 (21:40):
Whoa, Ashley, what are you doing?
Speaker 2 (21:43):
Ashley flies directly above Jonah, holsters her antler guns, and
then claps her hands together.
Speaker 4 (21:49):
Queenn's protection shield Level six.
Speaker 2 (21:54):
Ashley opens her hands then points them directly below her
towards Jonah. A green force field appears surrounding Jonah.
Speaker 7 (22:06):
A level six protection shield for him.
Speaker 6 (22:09):
Really, Ashley, he done? I told you she's soft?
Speaker 7 (22:15):
Soft cut people. You think you knew Dad so well?
Speaker 4 (22:22):
The shrewd and successful businessman who put his work over
his family. That's all you guys see, right, But who
was there for him when his body started to shut down?
Who watched over him, talked with him, cared for him
when his foot had to be amputated? All those doctor's appointments, nurses,
(22:47):
physical therapists, treatments, medications.
Speaker 7 (22:49):
Follow ups? Who was there? Was it you done?
Speaker 4 (22:55):
Or was Daddy's air apparent too busy running stockholder meetings
brokering deals for Opus Corp?
Speaker 7 (23:03):
Was it you, CJ?
Speaker 4 (23:05):
Or were you so caught up in your own selfish
bullshit that you couldn't even call to check.
Speaker 6 (23:10):
In on him?
Speaker 4 (23:12):
Was it you, Jonah? You were so happy to wash
your hands and just walk away from everything, so proud
of how much you didn't need Dad, that you forgot
how much I needed you.
Speaker 6 (23:26):
I needed all of you.
Speaker 4 (23:28):
Our father was dying and I was the only one
who was there for him when none of you had
the stomach for it. You want to call me soft, CJ. Well,
I say, there is no one in this room stronger
than me.
Speaker 2 (23:46):
Dog gets back to her feet, She approaches CJ, and
the two of them observe the situation.
Speaker 6 (23:53):
Well, she sure told us, CJ.
Speaker 5 (23:56):
Can you break through that shield and get to Jonah?
Speaker 6 (23:59):
Well, it's a level six, so it might take some time,
but it'll be hard to do anything with Ashley hovering
above him like that.
Speaker 5 (24:08):
Finish off, Jonah, leave Ashley to me.
Speaker 2 (24:13):
Don makes several acrobatic flips and tumbles until she reaches
the second level of the workshop.
Speaker 5 (24:18):
Ashley, it's time we talked about what something tells me
you already know.
Speaker 2 (24:27):
Ashley squints her eyes towards down, then turns her attention
to Jonah.
Speaker 4 (24:32):
They're splitting us up. This shield will hold for about
five more minutes.
Speaker 7 (24:37):
Maybe less. Good luck.
Speaker 8 (24:40):
Why are you helping me?
Speaker 7 (24:41):
I'm helping you.
Speaker 4 (24:43):
I'm honoring our father, despite what you think of him.
He'd never have approved of a three on one. But
don't get too comfy. After I'm finished with Don, I'm
coming for you.
Speaker 2 (24:55):
Ashley flies off and meets down on the second level
of the workshop. The two of them are only a
few feet away from each other. Now, Dom places her
hands behind her back and smirks.
Speaker 5 (25:06):
Ashley, it's funny our two paths concerning our father. You
were there with him at the end. I was there
at the beginning before the rest of you were born.
I used to sneak into this place to watch him work,
watch him struggle to complete finishers one and two, seeing
(25:30):
him sacrifice everything in his pursuit of greatness. It's what
inspired me to become the person I am today.
Speaker 8 (25:40):
However, we all have.
Speaker 5 (25:44):
Secrets, even Dad.
Speaker 7 (25:47):
Did he tell you that you?
Speaker 10 (25:49):
Can?
Speaker 4 (25:49):
You tell me I was adopted? Yes, yes he did
before he died. When did he tell you?
Speaker 5 (25:56):
He never did, but it wasn't hard to figure out.
I'm just surprised he told you. Dad always hid you
from the truth about the world. He let you live
with your little ideals and fantasies, even your finisher. Look
at it, Ashley, all those force fields and long range attacks.
(26:22):
He was always trying to shield you from danger. But
our father can't protect you anymore.
Speaker 8 (26:33):
No, Don stop it.
Speaker 2 (26:35):
With blinding speed, Don quickly covers the distance between the
two of them before stooping low and punching through Ashley's armor,
slamming her glowing red fists deep into Ashley's liver.
Speaker 7 (26:47):
Blood or come away.
Speaker 2 (26:55):
Don releases a stream of red energy from her hands
that says Ashley, tumbling away, truth is an.
Speaker 7 (27:02):
Ugly thing, Ashley.
Speaker 5 (27:04):
It is primordial, unrelenting, and as it relates to our father,
his truths are my burdens now and as his proxy
on the board of directors, I've done things for him
that you couldn't possibly fathom. I fought for him in
the corporate tournaments, promoting the Finisher brand as his champion.
(27:27):
I hurt people, maimed people, all for the good of
the company, all for the good of the family. Truths
and sacrifices I made me, not you, not c Jane,
not our mother, not Jonah or his mother. I am
responsible for his legacy. I am responsible for his truth
(27:48):
and you you are a child, lost and ignorant.
Speaker 2 (27:56):
Ashley struggles to her feet. She charges at As the
two of them engage. Jonah observes from the bottom level
of the workshop the shield protecting him is still holding up,
(28:20):
but with each blow that actually absorbs from Dawn, the
shield flickers and fades, and then cj approaches him with
a slow, swaggering confidence.
Speaker 6 (28:32):
Wooh, would you look at that? Never knew Donn had
that kind of mean streak. Right, of course, Ashley's adoption
probably has something.
Speaker 11 (28:43):
To do with it.
Speaker 8 (28:44):
Wait, Ashley's adopted Oh.
Speaker 6 (28:46):
You seriously didn't know. You think all that pluckiness and
positivity runs in our blood.
Speaker 8 (28:54):
Come on, man, she's still our sister. You're really gonna
sit back and let Dawn slaughter her up there?
Speaker 6 (29:00):
Oh? If I were you, I'd worry less about done
and more about me. Why stop hiding behind that shield
and I'll show you.
Speaker 2 (29:11):
Jonah stands to his feet and considers for a moment.
Ashley's shield is bound to break. If he steps out
of it. Before that happens, he might be able to
land a surprise attack on his little brother. Quickly, Jonah
jumps into the air, then somersaults, rolling upward then forward,
exiting the shield of protection in the same motion. The
(29:35):
long black tail of his suit detaches before transforming into a.
Speaker 3 (29:39):
Broad sword.
Speaker 9 (29:42):
Speak dragon slash.
Speaker 2 (29:48):
Cj easily side steps the attack, smacking Joan in the
back of the head and cackling. Then he points at
the eyes of his helmet.
Speaker 6 (30:00):
These cameras predictive, AI. This suit has already seen everything
your spade dragon has to offer, So go ahead, keep
on swinging and keep on missing. You're gonna drain your
reserves to zero and I won't even need to attack you.
Speaker 2 (30:16):
Undeterred, Jonah presses forward, rapidly, twirling the flaming sword with
expert precision. Jonah slashes over and over and over again,
but he can't manage to land a single blow. CJ
pushes him away, then blast him in the back with
an energy beam. Jonah goes down.
Speaker 6 (30:47):
Oh you know, for years I used to be so
jealous of you. I thought you were so brave, standing
up to Dad the way you did, ruining his plans
to have you take over Opus Corp.
Speaker 11 (31:04):
But then I realized it was the opposite. You weren't
brave or strong. You ran away, left us, left.
Speaker 6 (31:15):
Me to that monster, knowing did he blamed me for
Mom's death?
Speaker 8 (31:23):
See, Jay, nobody blames you.
Speaker 6 (31:31):
Shut up, Shut up. It was just a party. Who's
some friends, right? You know how I get down, Jonah?
A little booze, a little powder, a little property damage,
a few hours behind the cell, and then Mom was
supposed to come down to the station and bail me
(31:51):
out like always, except this time she never showed up.
That that asshole trunk driver made sure of that. I'll
never forget the look on Dad's face when he finally came.
(32:14):
I knew from that moment on. He was going to
spend the rest of his life punishing me. That the
person you left me with, Jonah.
Speaker 12 (32:29):
White Huntband, that man ran me into the ground every
chance he got.
Speaker 6 (32:46):
No amount of.
Speaker 13 (32:48):
Apologies or graveling, no amount of humiliation was enough to
satisfy him.
Speaker 6 (32:56):
Even when he got sick. He wouldn't let it go.
You want to leave me alone. So I had to
do something. I had to shut him up.
Speaker 14 (33:15):
At that, both Dawn and Ashley take a pause from
their battle. Ashley, what what what is he saying? You
said that our father died in his sleep?
Speaker 6 (33:28):
He did?
Speaker 7 (33:29):
I don't. I don't know what he's talking about.
Speaker 6 (33:35):
I didn't think that much medication. But I don't regret it. No,
not me, No, no, no, no, no no no. I
mean I basically already killed one parry, right, why not both?
A matter of fact? Hey, Jonah, Hey, big bro, how's
(34:00):
about we go through a little drick.
Speaker 2 (34:04):
Right just before the beam makes impact, Dawn and Ashley
leap in front of Jonah and repel the blast.
Speaker 7 (34:20):
Queen protection.
Speaker 2 (34:25):
Dawn steps forward, her typical poise, seemingly rattled for the
very first time in her lifej.
Speaker 7 (34:34):
Please please tell me you didn't kill our father.
Speaker 2 (34:41):
CJ looks up at the ceiling of the workshop, closing
his eyes and reflecting on the last time that he
saw his father. He can remember the smell of the
hospital room, the cold, chill in the air, his father
resting peacefully, not berating him, not humiliating him, not making
(35:06):
him feel like the worst person in the whole world.
So peaceful. What if this peace could last forever? And
that's when he saw the syringe next to his father's bed.
Speaker 6 (35:24):
C J answer me, Winning, he's sweet, but winners are cool.
Speaker 14 (35:38):
Not.
Speaker 7 (35:40):
I don't believe you.
Speaker 6 (35:41):
You don't, how could you.
Speaker 2 (35:47):
Ashley steps over to Jonah and helps him to his feet.
Speaker 4 (35:50):
Come on, get up, you gotta help us with CJ.
Speaker 8 (35:54):
I thought you said Dad wouldn't approve of three against one.
Speaker 7 (35:58):
This is different. We have to take him down.
Speaker 6 (36:08):
I get it now. This who set up this whole battle? Royale?
It's all for me.
Speaker 13 (36:18):
I finally understand. Take that out, Take you three out.
Winning is sweet, but winners are cruel.
Speaker 2 (36:32):
As CJ mumbles to himself, the other three Opus siblings
regard each other, nodding with the silent acknowledgement that something
inside of their brother was truly broken there. Dawn gathers herself.
Speaker 5 (36:46):
It's going to take the three of us to beat him.
His finisher is one of the strongest in the Alpha division.
More importantly, those AI cameras can predict our attacks. However,
there is a spot where on the top level of
a suit's cervical spine, where the helmet connects to the
rest of the armor.
Speaker 7 (37:07):
I can get to it, but I'll need you to
to draw his attention.
Speaker 8 (37:10):
Sounds like a plan.
Speaker 7 (37:11):
Let's do it.
Speaker 2 (37:12):
The three of them attack together. CJ evades every attack,
dodges every projectile, moving and swaying with effortless technique. No
matter how hard they tried, none of them, Dawn, Ashley
Jonah could lay a hand on CIJ. His suit is
(37:36):
just too powerful.
Speaker 6 (37:39):
Clays over.
Speaker 2 (37:41):
CJ grabs Dawn by her throat. As he lifts her up.
Jonah comes running behind him with his sword.
Speaker 8 (37:48):
In his hands.
Speaker 9 (37:50):
Spade, Dragon Flash.
Speaker 2 (37:54):
Jonah leaps into the air, twirling dynamically in the spiral
of flames, this hearting from his blade. CJ steps forward.
His AI cameras have predicted a counter attack.
Speaker 6 (38:08):
Oh, dear big brother, We've seen this before, and we
know how the story ends.
Speaker 9 (38:18):
However, the.
Speaker 2 (38:27):
Spade Dragon exo suit detaches itself from Jonah's body. The
pieces of Jonah's suit fly directly into CJ's face, covering
up each of his AI camera eyes.
Speaker 9 (38:41):
Now Dawn.
Speaker 2 (38:45):
Flood extraction, Don's talon clawed hands glow with violent red energy.
She jams them into the back panel of exosuit, directly
into CJ's blind spot, ripping out its core and shutting
(39:05):
him down.
Speaker 9 (39:06):
Spade Dragon retrieval.
Speaker 2 (39:10):
The Spade Dragon reattaches itself to Jonah. Ashley approaches him.
Speaker 4 (39:15):
That's pretty cool. I didn't know Finishers could do that.
Speaker 8 (39:19):
HiT's a little trick that Dad worked into the earlier
Finisher models.
Speaker 2 (39:25):
Meanwhile, Don stands over CJ, her eyes bursting with fury.
She rips off the helmet of CJ's suit, then shapes
her hand into a red glowing blade. She points it
at CJ's neck.
Speaker 8 (39:41):
Hey, that's enough, Dawn, back off. He's done.
Speaker 4 (39:44):
Why should she he killed dad?
Speaker 8 (39:46):
He says he killed dad. CJ says a lot of things.
Speaker 4 (39:49):
Why would he lie about that?
Speaker 7 (39:51):
Because he wants to die. He wants us to kill him. Oh,
CJ was our father?
Speaker 9 (40:00):
Is that cruel to you?
Speaker 15 (40:05):
You're such as was such a disappointment. Your mother would
still be alive if not for you, would you possibly
be my side? Wish it had been new and left
now Joanah, I'm so ashamed of you.
Speaker 6 (40:20):
I'm tired, Tod, I'm tired covisivlice in my head. You
can make it go away, you can make it cool.
Speaker 2 (40:36):
Don lowers her glowing hand, then backs away from c J.
As he lays his head down to weep. Jonah gestures
an open hand towards his brother.
Speaker 8 (40:47):
This, this is why I had to get the hell
out of here, out from Dad's influence. Who's driving me insane?
Look what it did to c J. Look what it's
doing to us right now, all for some legacy that
we didn't even ask for. It's time for us to
move on from all of this. It was hard for
(41:10):
me at first, but eventually I found the most beautiful
woman in the world, and we have the most unique
kid you'll ever see. I'd love for you all to
meet him officially, but I will not bring him anywhere
near this nonsense.
Speaker 4 (41:27):
I am saying, drop everything and just leave, leave the business,
leave Opus Corp.
Speaker 8 (41:35):
Yes, that's exactly what I mean.
Speaker 7 (41:38):
I guess I could try.
Speaker 4 (41:42):
I've never known a life outside of her.
Speaker 9 (41:46):
Extraction.
Speaker 10 (41:55):
No.
Speaker 2 (41:57):
Suddenly, a red, glowing hand slams into the back panel
of Ashley suit. A moment later, and Don rips out
her power cord. Ashley Suit shuts down. Jonah runs towards Dawn,
swinging a flaming fist at her head. Don evades, retreating
(42:18):
several feet away. Jonah tends to Ashley, who is unconscious.
Speaker 8 (42:24):
Ashley, No, Don, what are you doing?
Speaker 5 (42:28):
The Opus Family Battle Royale will continue until only one
finisher remains active.
Speaker 7 (42:34):
Those are the rules.
Speaker 5 (42:36):
If we want this to end, then we have to
see this through until its final conclusion, as our father intended.
Speaker 8 (42:43):
Down You're still caught up in Dad's crap. But I'm
telling you it doesn't have to be this way.
Speaker 7 (42:49):
We can choose to is my choice. Jonah.
Speaker 5 (42:54):
Look, Jonah, you found happiness and I am delighted for you,
I really am. But some of us just don't have
that luxury. The company, the finishers, this is who I am,
This is all.
Speaker 6 (43:09):
That I am.
Speaker 8 (43:10):
CJ was right. I did leave you guys to a monster.
Dad filled you up with so many lives.
Speaker 7 (43:17):
Father was a great man and in his name.
Speaker 5 (43:20):
I'm going to win this battle Royal, take charge of
his assets and honor everything that he stood for. No, you,
dear brother, can make this really really easy. Just shut
down your suit and we can all go home. Don
Did you hear me, Jonah? I meant what I said before?
(43:43):
After this, you'll never have to see any of us again.
Just shut down your suit, leave, go home to your
loved ones.
Speaker 8 (43:53):
That's the thing, don. I still love you too, all
of you, despite everything. Don't want to abandon you again.
Speaker 7 (44:01):
What are you talking about? God, Jonah, please stop being stupid.
Shut down your suit. You don't even want the company.
Speaker 8 (44:11):
Remember, No, I don't. But I don't think it should
be your burden either.
Speaker 7 (44:16):
Oh oh my god, I can't believe this. You are
so incredibly annoying.
Speaker 8 (44:26):
What kind of little brother would I be if I
wasn't so.
Speaker 3 (44:31):
To the end?
Speaker 7 (44:33):
Right, very well, Jonah?
Speaker 6 (44:37):
To the end.
Speaker 2 (44:40):
And then the two of them engage in the final
bout of the Opus family battle Royale. The two of
them began to fall back into old combat patterns that
they used to practice together as children. Their father watching
over them as they performed their violent Beautiful Dance, a
(45:03):
dance of light and energy of technique and impact of
metal and memories. This realization brought a smile to Jonah's face,
despite the near infinite sea of resentment that he harbored
for his father, because these relationships with his brother and sisters,
(45:25):
for better or worse, are a part of him. Down
and Jonah each land their final attack.
Speaker 6 (45:35):
Away.
Speaker 2 (45:46):
Down goes down first. The blood orchest power Corps has
been depleted to zero. However, Jonah has taken significant damage
as well. He falls to his knees and crawls towards down.
Speaker 5 (46:06):
All right, Jonah, a few ever earned the victory the company.
The assets are now yours. It was always supposed to
be you anyway. By my calculations, the Spade Dragon still
has about three percent of its core energy left. The
(46:28):
access codes to the bank account should come through your
interface any moment. Now, take good care of the company.
Speaker 8 (46:39):
No, don I told you, I don't want it. I
don't want it for me, I don't want it for
any of us. And that's why that's why I'm gonna
shut down my suit. That way, the access codes won't
go to anybody, and we can leave all of this
behind together.
Speaker 7 (47:00):
In the company. The finishers don't need them.
Speaker 8 (47:05):
Think about it. Dad said he made us do this
so we would establish a path forward together.
Speaker 10 (47:11):
This can be it.
Speaker 7 (47:12):
Don Jonah, I'm scared. I'm scared.
Speaker 2 (47:22):
Jonah takes her by the hand.
Speaker 8 (47:25):
He nods.
Speaker 2 (47:26):
Don nods back. Then Jonah flips a switch on his
exo suit and the Spade Dragon powers down. Both suits
are depleted to zero. The four of them, Don, Jonah,
c J, and Dashley stand to their feet. The elevator
(47:52):
doors of the workshop open. They regard each other for
a moment, and then Jonah makes his way towards the exit.
Following him is CJ and behind him is Ashley. Down
takes a final view of the workshop, observing the debris
(48:15):
left behind from the battle. Damage finishes, and then she
enters the elevator and the four Opus siblings leave together.
