Speaker 1 (00:02):
Do the intro. This is your baby man.
Speaker 2 (00:05):
Okay, well, I'm so used to you fucking doing that.
The killers were fucking demented.
Speaker 1 (00:13):
Your paralyzed from the neck down because I didn't have
any duct tape or rope.
Speaker 2 (00:19):
And then he sticks the guy's head and a microwave.
Speaker 1 (00:23):
Somebody tried to mess with his daughter and dad killed everybody.
Speaker 3 (00:29):
If I'm putting the same shoes, I'm probably doing the
same thing.
Speaker 1 (00:34):
Well, I wasn't gonna watch the radio one.
Speaker 3 (00:37):
I'm that's saying a lot considering that he ended up
getting the film band in the fucking.
Speaker 2 (00:41):
New cag.
Speaker 1 (00:44):
Fucking diabolical horror move one day, welcome back. Hey, hey, hey,
this week we had to go to him. We were yeah,
we given the suggestion to do Nope.
Speaker 3 (01:06):
Really, honestly, Jill, watching this, I was like, yeah, this
is up Joe's alley.
Speaker 1 (01:14):
Yeah, it was a it was kind of a wild ride.
Speaker 2 (01:18):
It was a very wild ride.
Speaker 1 (01:20):
Yeah. It reminds me a lot of Oh Ship. What
was that one from M Night Shyamalan, the one with
the aliens in the in the field.
Speaker 2 (01:28):
I can't remember. You know what j Phoenix is like
hitting them with a baseball.
Speaker 1 (01:35):
Bet yeah, yeah, Joaquin Phoenix signs yep, so kind of
reminded me of that. It was very cool. I think.
I think Jordan Peele does a great job with this horror.
Speaker 2 (01:48):
Movie an actor for a while and then yeah.
Speaker 1 (01:51):
He did that, he did that key in peele Sketch Comedy.
Speaker 2 (01:54):
Oh yeah, yeah, that's where I'm.
Speaker 1 (01:56):
Sure he's done a number of other things, but in
some other movies, and but yeah, he's great.
Speaker 3 (02:02):
Man.
Speaker 1 (02:04):
Yeah, he's doing like the old old style horror movies
I think, but then also some newer style ones, and
they're very they're very very good. All the ones that
he's done so far are very good. I really like him,
and I enjoyed this one as well.
Speaker 3 (02:18):
Yeah, man, I mean, uh, do you want to get
into the backstory of the movie.
Speaker 1 (02:22):
Yeah, So we'll start with the movie. So the movie starts.
The movie starts with some flashes of some weird old
TV show. It doesn't really tell you what's going on
with that at first. It just kind of hints at
something else and then it goes and it starts in
a at a ranch somewhere in the West.
Speaker 2 (02:41):
It's in California. It's it's in.
Speaker 3 (02:45):
I looked it up it's like a fictionary like desert
ish mountain town in the sticks of California.
Speaker 1 (02:55):
Yeah, so a father and a son are talking. The
father's on a horse or getting up on horse that
they're obviously horse ranchers or and and then as they're talking,
something starts, something starts happening. Things start falling from the sky,
and there's also you could hear like screaming and yelling
up in the clouds like above him, and the dad's
looking up and then you know, something happens and he
(03:18):
starts walking away. The horse starts walking away with him
on him, and the sun realizes something's wrong with his dad,
and then rushes him to the hospital. He's bleeding, you know,
gets him off the horse. He's the horse. Yeah, he
falls off the horse, and come to find out, a
coin landed in his eye, right nickel, Yeah.
Speaker 2 (03:39):
And then which lodged into his brain and killed him.
Speaker 1 (03:45):
Yeah, And then it fast forward like six months. The
dad obviously dead passed from that. And then they're on
the next scene is what they're on a movie set.
Speaker 2 (03:57):
They're on a movie set. The brother or son, whoever
you want to call it, he's, you know, trying to
maintain the father's family business. But he's kind of he's
he's really.
Speaker 1 (04:13):
Ext he's not a he's not a people person, not
a people person at all. They make it very clear
in that part where you know they're on the movie
set and he's trying to talk to people. They're waiting
for he's waiting for his sister to show up. His
sister is more of the personality. He's not a people person.
He's very in tune with what the animals are feeling
and thinking. He's very much an animal person, an animal lover.
Speaker 3 (04:37):
Yep.
Speaker 1 (04:38):
And so that sets the stage for more of the movie.
And then when she gets there, she takes over the horse. Obviously,
something spooks the horse.
Speaker 2 (04:47):
The reflection I can see it, so it sees.
Speaker 1 (04:49):
Itself in in a reflection. What are the cameraman or
what are the producers holding up? And spooks the horse.
They lose the gig and then they go back to
the ranch.
Speaker 2 (05:02):
Well, before they go to the ranch, they go to this.
Speaker 3 (05:06):
Makeshift old Western amusement I want.
Speaker 1 (05:12):
To say, so they're on yeah, they're on the way back.
They're on the way back to the ranch, and they
come across that old Western style amusement park. And it's
got a different name because she says, oh, what happened
in the old place, and he goes, well, it went
under about six months ago the gold rush. Gold Rush, Yeah,
gold rush was what it was named or yeah.
Speaker 2 (05:32):
But it was named and then it got turned to Jefferson's.
Speaker 1 (05:37):
Right, and so something happened and it got closed that
it went out of business six months prior, and they
come to find out he's been selling his dad's horses
to the guy that owns a place.
Speaker 3 (05:53):
Which you don't really know the relevancy of it until
like midway through the movie.
Speaker 1 (05:58):
Right, and it it sort of interesting, like you're you
think back on it, and like while he's talking to
the guy, he's talking about buying the horses back, and
the guy he asked him about it, he asked the
owner of it, who was the actor who played Glenn
from The Walking Dead?
Speaker 3 (06:11):
Is the owner of it where he played from I
couldn't put a finger on where I'd seen him before.
Speaker 1 (06:17):
Yeah, And so he he asked him about buying the
horses back, and he kind of dodges the question, you know.
Speaker 2 (06:25):
Yeah, because because yeah, well that of.
Speaker 1 (06:29):
Later the things that happened later on. Yeah, so I
come to find out there's a little bit of a
flashback and the guy who owns the the amusement part
there was actually he was a TV star as a kid.
Speaker 2 (06:46):
It was a child actor.
Speaker 1 (06:47):
He was a child actor. And the flashes from the
beginning are actually from a So it was a show
with a with a chimpanzee in it, with a bunch
of you know, obviously a bunch of different champions's playing one. Well,
is it like Gordy or something like that.
Speaker 2 (07:01):
Gordy, Yes, that was it, and come to find out, you.
Speaker 1 (07:06):
Know it kind of it kind of feeds into it later.
But come to find out there was an incident where Gordi,
one of the chimpanzees, actually killed, actually injured a bunch
of people on set, like kind of went crazy.
Speaker 2 (07:17):
I think he's I think he killed a bunch of people. Actually,
to be.
Speaker 1 (07:20):
Honest with you, he might have killed. Yeah, the woman,
They definitely.
Speaker 3 (07:25):
Killed the woman, and he killed the stuff quote unquote
father of the of the family.
Speaker 1 (07:32):
But the girl he didn't kill. He just he messed
her up really bad. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (07:39):
And uh, it's weird because you see this chimpanzee going nuts.
Speaker 2 (07:46):
Uh he you know, brutally murders the woman, and then
the father is trying to escape and the chimp or
the chimp chases.
Speaker 3 (07:57):
Him down kills him too. Else and the little boy
well when he was a boy. Uh, He's hiding under
like a kitchen table, and the gorilla or or chimpanzee
finally like sees him under the thing, and the kid's
petrified because he thinks he's going to be the next victim.
(08:18):
But the chimpanzee goes to give him a fist bump
because I guess that was part of the stick in
the in the show.
Speaker 1 (08:26):
The exploding fist bump, the exploring.
Speaker 3 (08:29):
Fist bump, And right before he can fist bump the kid,
the chimp gets shot in the head.
Speaker 2 (08:35):
Which I presume was l a p D or local
animal yeah something.
Speaker 3 (08:45):
So he he has that horrific flashback before his wife.
Speaker 2 (08:53):
Kind of snaps him out of it and it's time
for them to go down and do their show, you
know what I mean?
Speaker 1 (09:00):
Uh? And so now where do we go from there?
Speaker 2 (09:04):
We go back to the ranch, right, Yeah, Well a
weird thing is is Okay? So it's six months after
the father's died. He sold about ten horses.
Speaker 3 (09:15):
To this this new ranch, the Jefferson Ranch, tries to
tries to buy the horses back.
Speaker 2 (09:22):
The guy dodgers the questions very shadily like. And then
at one night, you know, this is I'm guessing the
sisters kind of a drifter. She doesn't really stay at
the ranch.
Speaker 1 (09:36):
A bunch of she's got a bunch of little side
gig drilling on.
Speaker 3 (09:40):
So she decides to spend the night with her brother,
and you know, they they drink a little bit of
Dad's whiskey and they're listening to the records shooting the ship.
Speaker 2 (09:51):
And then one of their one of their.
Speaker 3 (09:52):
Horses is out out in the in the I guess
they call it the training the arena.
Speaker 1 (10:00):
They say, yeah, he's out in the training arena.
Speaker 2 (10:03):
And uh so that the brother which what was his
character character name in.
Speaker 1 (10:09):
The movie, I don't know.
Speaker 2 (10:13):
Anyway, so he goes down there to go get the horse.
Speaker 3 (10:16):
The horse gets spooped, jumps the fence, runs off, and
then something from the sky.
Speaker 1 (10:23):
Right, the brother goes after the horse.
Speaker 2 (10:25):
Something from the sky.
Speaker 3 (10:26):
Yeah, the brother goes tries to go after the horse,
but something from the sky, whether it's a UFO or
whatever the fuck it is.
Speaker 1 (10:35):
All the radio in the house, goes out all the electronics.
Speaker 2 (10:40):
Dead.
Speaker 1 (10:41):
Yeahs. Something comes by. They both see it and it takes.
Speaker 3 (10:46):
The horse and the horse is screaming bloody murder because
it's literally being murdered, and then it's just gone.
Speaker 1 (10:57):
So from there, the next day they go into town.
They're just that they they think they know what it is.
They think it's a UFO, right, yeah, just.
Speaker 2 (11:04):
Talking about like the best spy or whatever to.
Speaker 1 (11:07):
Get a bunch of So they yeah, so they're going
to town. They're gonna set up a bunch of cameras.
The IT guy comes back to the ranch with them
to help set it up, and he like kind of
hints at, you know, all his UFO activity or whatever,
and they're like yeah, yeah, yeah, And so he goes
out there with him and he sets up the camera
and he's kind of like leary as to why the
(11:28):
brother wants the cameras all pointed up into the sky. So,
come to find out, the IT guy is watching the
cameras at night.
Speaker 3 (11:37):
Yes, because he kind of gets his fiel that he's
he's kind of deep into the UFO phenomenon too.
Speaker 1 (11:45):
Right, he's a ufologist or whatever, And so he's watching
the cameras at night, and something happens when the cameras
goes out, there's a bug over the lens of the
other one. A whole bunch of shit goes down, something
comes up. And then the next day he decides he's like,
she realizes that he's watching the cameras, and he comes,
he comes out there and he decides he's in. He's
(12:07):
in this thing. He wants to see what this thing is. Oh,
you notice the clouded the cloud in the camera that
hadn't moved in since he put up the cameras. One
cloud in the sky.
Speaker 3 (12:20):
In fact, the brother even mentions, he says, now that
you mention it, that cloud hasn't moved since the day
I've been.
Speaker 1 (12:25):
Looking at it. Yep, I've been looking at that cloud
for the last six months.
Speaker 2 (12:29):
He says. And there's a weird phenomenon. So there's a
lot of shots at night, so it's day night, day night.
I don't really understand.
Speaker 3 (12:41):
The whole like, you know, how we were just like
Scotch or like ghost or like it would name the
different horses.
Speaker 1 (12:51):
Yeah, oh yeah, I don't.
Speaker 2 (12:54):
Understand the use of that, but whatever, that's the director's vision.
So maybe there's a reason why he did that.
Speaker 3 (13:03):
But for some Waird reason, every night the power just
keeps going out. You can see that amusement park rodeo
off in the distance and their lights go off too.
Speaker 2 (13:17):
Yeah, but they have all their lights on like they're
giving live shows.
Speaker 1 (13:23):
Yeah, but they're not. But they're not because they close
at five o'clock. Because you hear the You hear the
announcements every time they're at the place talking about okay,
you can't you don't have to go home, but you
can't stay here. They get to a certain time of
night they close down for the night. Okay, but yeah,
all right, the lights are always on like they've got
a show going on, which you know, you come to
(13:45):
find out at the end they don't. They don't stay
open at night.
Speaker 3 (13:50):
Yeah, but there was something significant about the six six
minutes and thirteen.
Speaker 2 (13:56):
Seconds or six six pm and six six third team.
Remember he said that in the show before.
Speaker 1 (14:03):
And that's that probably has to do with why it
closes at a certain time.
Speaker 3 (14:09):
The five I was getting was Joe that they were
the ranch kind of knew about this aliens and they
were just like sacrificing horses.
Speaker 1 (14:19):
That's exactly what they were doing, because he was trying
to tame it. That's why that's why he was buying
the horses. That's why he was closing down at five.
And that's why he wasn't going to give the horses back.
He wasn't gonna bargain with them to buy the horses
back because he didn't have them anymore. He was literally
feeding the thing. Yes, So come to find out as
(14:44):
we as as we progress, this is an alien This
is obviously everybody thinks the alien ship. It's UFO. And
what they stole the They stole a statue of a
horse to try to se shit, and it sucked it up,
but it shot it back out the next night or
(15:05):
a couple days later, and it was very upset. It
was it didn't seem like it was had some had
some tummy issues, didn't like it. The flags messed with it. Yeah,
And so all the while he's learning, they're learning about
this thing, and they start to they get to a
point where they figure out that it's not an alien ship.
It is a creature essentially.
Speaker 3 (15:27):
Yes, And they also realized too that if you make
eye contact with it, it pursues you. If you don't
make eye contact with it.
Speaker 1 (15:40):
It avoids you, right, and he again this goes back
to him being more of an animal person, more of
understanding animals than understanding people. As he's starting to he
when he realizes it's an animal, he learns his behaviors.
He starts to figure out his behaviors.
Speaker 3 (15:56):
Because remember there's a scene literally where his truck dies
and goes to get out to bolt and the thing
is like right above his head and he.
Speaker 2 (16:05):
Doesn't look at it, and he just says nope, which
is like the only time in the movie that the
title is used. And it doesn't need him because he
doesn't make eye contact with it.
Speaker 3 (16:16):
Yeah, And so this whole time too, the brother and
sister they're desperately trying to get this thing on camera
so they can have some sort of concrete evidence of
extra terrestrials.
Speaker 2 (16:36):
So they think that they can they make money off
of the farm is about to go belly up. They've
been losing a lot of money.
Speaker 1 (16:46):
They're by getting this thing on camera exactly. At one
point they call that cameraman.
Speaker 2 (16:59):
Oh my god, was such a jailed asshole.
Speaker 1 (17:02):
Yeah, I don't I didn't remember seeing him on the
movie theater set or whatever, or when she worked with
him or whatnot.
Speaker 2 (17:09):
I guess he was on the call sheet, that's what
she said.
Speaker 1 (17:14):
So he's like, he's a cameraman. He films animals, and
so he's always looking for the perfect shot.
Speaker 4 (17:21):
And so like literally every time they called him, he's
just watching like nature videos of life. Wan's eating fucking
gazelles and shit, like just an odd dude.
Speaker 1 (17:32):
Yeah, So the first time she calls him, he just
kind of blows her off. And then what happens is
you find out that the ranch, the the guy Glenn,
has a bunch of people out back of the back
of the ranch and he says, what you're gonna see
is gonna change your life. And he's got the horse
(17:52):
that he recently just bought from our hero there in
a in a partially opened clear enclosure, and he says
at the same time every night or at the same time,
you know whatever. He's like, something happens. Yeah, he's talking
(18:13):
about six thirteen. He's like, you know, in an hour,
your life is going to change. And what happens is
the thing ends up coming early, right, something upset it.
I think it was. I think it was the horse
that they tried to make it eat the fake horse
got it pissed off, and so it comes out to
(18:38):
the ranch early, but instead of just taking the horse,
it takes everybody in the audience, including the woman who
was mauled by the chimpanzee who had her face torn off.
She was also there.
Speaker 3 (18:55):
Yeah, so the the the beast that they've been feeding,
is sick of the bullshit and just decides to eat
everyone at the fucking right, everyone at the corral, whatever
(19:17):
you want to call it.
Speaker 1 (19:18):
And so it grabs up everybody at the corral, and
you see a couple glimpses of the people inside of it,
like after they've been sucked up, kind of like, and
they're all still alive in there. You can hear them
screaming and yelling. And then the thing goes back to
the house and that's when the brother is actually on
his way back, and the sister is there, and the
(19:39):
IT guy is there from Best Buy, and I think
he tried to leave, but his car got stopped because
the thing came back to the ranch and that's what
it sat over the house, and you could hear again,
you could hear the people screaming like like you heard
in the first scene, and then all of a sudden
in his touring rain, so like while the thing is
(20:01):
over the house, the rain is stopped on the house,
but you can see it all the way around it.
And then you hear all the screaming and you hear
all the cries of the people inside of the thing,
and then it all just stops, and then again all
the stuff falls out of it, like all the coins
of the keys, like all the metals there.
Speaker 2 (20:19):
The people have pretty much pukes out any metals that
it had and a lot of like blood.
Speaker 1 (20:28):
So what I didn't realize at first is that that's
probably the same thing that happened to the old ranch
where they where that dude bought it after it closed
down six months ago. And that's why that's why the
thing was over there, and that's why the stuff fell.
That's why the dag got hit by the coin. That's
why the ranch, the other ranch got closed down.
Speaker 2 (20:49):
Yeah, because the key hit hit the horse in the
ass too. Did you see that?
Speaker 1 (20:53):
Yep? And so and then is next in this scene
a key sticks in the what sticks on the front
step or something like that.
Speaker 3 (21:01):
Bro, I'm gonna be honest with you, So I started
this movie on Friday night.
Speaker 2 (21:04):
I had to work. Saturday. I got into it.
Speaker 3 (21:08):
It was about almost eleven o'clock at the scene where
the people just everybody started getting even at the amusement park.
Speaker 2 (21:19):
So this movie, this movie's two hours and twelve minutes long,
and I was like a little that because that's at
like the hour point is when all that happens. I
just like I shut it off. I'm like, I gotta
get up earlier. I gotta go to work, dude.
Speaker 3 (21:35):
When I started to watch it, when I, you know,
finally got home Saturday night getting getting reated to watch
this thing, I'm.
Speaker 2 (21:42):
Like, so much has happened.
Speaker 3 (21:44):
I have to just started from the beginning again, because
I started off from when that wacky shit went, you
know what I mean. Yeah, So I ended up starting
watching it from the beginning from scratch.
Speaker 1 (22:00):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (22:01):
So yeah, the the the the entity which is in
the UFO, it's a creature, eats everyone at the the
amusement park and then it projectile vomits all their keys,
change or whatever it doesn't want, and.
Speaker 2 (22:20):
It also pukes blood all over the ranch.
Speaker 1 (22:23):
Yeah. And that's also when it dropped the fake horse
back on the brother's car.
Speaker 2 (22:27):
True. Yes, it did right in his windshield.
Speaker 4 (22:32):
And so it was.
Speaker 2 (22:33):
It was.
Speaker 1 (22:33):
It did have a little upset tummy when it went
back to the ranch.
Speaker 2 (22:38):
But they got that on film, and and well they
didn't get it on film, but they got enough to
draw the interests of that Hollywood big shot.
Speaker 1 (22:50):
Well I think, yeah, I was kind of wondering what
got him to come back because the only thing that
really I didn't know. I didn't think they recorded anything,
but there was the news stories that were going around
about everybody disappearing at the ranch, and he probably knew
that that ranch was right next to their ranch, you
know what I mean.
Speaker 2 (23:10):
So he kind of put two and two together and
he just like shows up at their house.
Speaker 1 (23:15):
Yep. And he's got hand he's got mechanical cameras.
Speaker 2 (23:23):
Yeah, non electric cameras.
Speaker 1 (23:25):
This guy's a g Yeah, he's got he's got some
old school ship. He's got the crank like you remember
the old uh you see the old movie reels and
stuff where the dude is cranking. That's what he's got.
Speaker 3 (23:37):
Yeah, that's how they used to do it with fucking
Charlie Chaplin and ship.
Speaker 1 (23:43):
Exactly. So they they set up this whole elaborate plan
they've got wild wacky inflatable iron flowing tube men all
over the field.
Speaker 2 (23:51):
And they're using them with car batteries.
Speaker 1 (23:53):
They set them up with car batteries and it what
they're using it as is that way as the little
guys go down, they can tell where the creature is
because he he emits like an electric field killing shit.
And so they're getting this whole laborate thing sets up.
And then a dude from TMZ shows up on an
electric motorcycle. Yeah, because obviously people are starting to get
(24:17):
win that something weird is happening out here.
Speaker 2 (24:19):
I mean, the news got out about the tragedy at
the carnival.
Speaker 1 (24:23):
Yep, so they came out there to film something.
Speaker 3 (24:28):
They came out there to film something. They pretty much
tell the guy to pound sand.
Speaker 1 (24:32):
They tell him not to go They tell him to
go around the valley essentially because they're like, if he
drives through there, he doesn't listen, of course, no, drive
straight into it.
Speaker 2 (24:44):
Straight into it.
Speaker 3 (24:45):
And the entity decides to stop his motorcycle at sixty
miles an hour.
Speaker 1 (24:51):
Well he's got he's got an electric bike.
Speaker 2 (24:56):
And so yeah, I'm just saying that.
Speaker 1 (24:58):
No, So like, yeah, so when the elect your bike
hit the field from the entity, like the bike just
dead stopped and the dude wanted flying off of the thing.
They never showed that guy's face. They had that like
reflective helmet on there.
Speaker 3 (25:12):
Yeah, probably broke him a couple of bones because he
was screaming bloody murder from the bike rack.
Speaker 1 (25:18):
So the brother, the brother jumps on the horse hauls
out there to try to save him. Of course, the
creature shows up because it's already there and.
Speaker 2 (25:26):
Just eats the eats the TMZ guy.
Speaker 1 (25:29):
I mean, the brother tried to save him, but he
ends up eating them.
Speaker 3 (25:33):
And then then the jaded uh, well, the fucking the
camera guy gets greedy and he kind of like, fuck
you guys, I'm stealing the shot for myself, and so
he runs out into the into the desert and he
tries to go rogue and he ends up.
Speaker 2 (25:54):
Getting eaten by the fucking entity.
Speaker 1 (25:56):
While he's rolling the camera, yes, all the way into it.
Speaker 2 (26:01):
And then so the best by Guy.
Speaker 1 (26:04):
The film gets all fucked up because the thing is
like causing these tornadoes as it moves around because it's
sucking everything up and it hits where they're set up.
The Best By Guy goes flying all the film goes
flying everywhere.
Speaker 3 (26:16):
But did you notice the best By guy when he
went flying right before he got sucked up, he wrapped
himself in a blue tarp and he wrapped bob wire
around himself.
Speaker 1 (26:27):
Yeah, so it kept him going in at first, so.
Speaker 3 (26:31):
He got eaten, but he got quickly like spit out
and rejected because of the bob wire wrapped around his body.
Speaker 1 (26:38):
Yeah, he was able to save himself.
Speaker 2 (26:42):
And then the brother came up with a great idea of.
Speaker 3 (26:47):
Trying to outrun it on horseback, and he had a
hooded sweatshirt on that had eyeballs on the hood.
Speaker 1 (26:54):
Yeah, there were like two reflectors of the It was
like eyes on the back of your head type thing.
So he as, yeah, running away, he's got the eyes
on it, so it thinks it's looking at him, so
it's chasing. He's trying to draw it away from his
sister in the house.
Speaker 3 (27:09):
Yep, because the system now is is out out in
the the wilderness from this, and.
Speaker 1 (27:16):
So there's a little bit of back and forth where
the sister's trying to get it chase her to save
her brother. The brother's trying to get it to chase
him to save his sister, and she ends up running.
She ends up what did you oh, she jumped on
the motorcycle. She jumped back on the bike, Yes, and
then raced back to the other ranch, back to the
(27:38):
gold Rusher of the Jefferson Ranch.
Speaker 3 (27:41):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (27:41):
They they too had a non electrical crank camera.
Speaker 3 (27:46):
It's a prop that they set up inside a well
so like people can look inside the well and you
crank the camera and it takes a nice picture of
you know, people hovering over the well.
Speaker 1 (28:03):
Yeah, it's it's something from like it's like a movie
proper picture, right, it's taking like a movie type, like
there's a there's some fictional movie that they based that
place on that the poster for the movie is a
picture from the inside a well of the heroes of
the movie. So you're kind of recreating the movie poster by.
Speaker 2 (28:25):
Here's the deal. Joe the guy who bought the ranch.
Speaker 3 (28:32):
When he was a child actor, he played on the
show with the Chimpanzee that went Nuts. But he was
also because the sister is like an aspire and actress
and aspire and whatever, like she's really into the entertainment,
you know. Yeah, and she's like you were so like, yeah,
his first acting gig, he was in like an old
(28:54):
school like spaghetti western movie.
Speaker 1 (28:57):
Yeah, so that's what he based the ranch on. Yes,
so yeah, it was that movie poster that was so
that well, camera kind of recreated the movie poster for people.
And so she runs up there and finds it. Of course,
there's coins all over the ground because the thing spits
coins out when it eats people. If there's coins in
(29:19):
the pocket, yeah, so she fills the thing up with
coins and she starts cranking it. And then this was
right after she let there was a big there was
like an inflatable inflatable guy. Yeah, right, So she lets
all the it's and it's filled up with helium, So
she lets all the ropes looseness. Inflatable dude starts floating
(29:41):
up above the ranch and the alien starts.
Speaker 3 (29:45):
The best way to describe it, he looks like the
the thing from fucking Austin Powers to the Bob's.
Speaker 2 (29:53):
Big Boy Burger. Yes, that's that's what he was.
Speaker 1 (29:57):
Am I wrong, Yeah, it's it's that like that. It's
a dough boy essentially. Like you, I feel like you
see a similar version of that, and a bunch of
different shows and movies. I think there's one from the Simpsons.
It's like the dough boy from the Donut Shop or whatever.
Speaker 3 (30:13):
Yeah, it's like like at the first thing I saw.
When I saw it just reminded me of Awesome Powers too.
Speaker 1 (30:19):
Yeah, yeah, the Big Boy. Yeah. And so that thing
floats up in the air. And so that thing is
up in the air and it's within range of this
crank camera in the well, and she's trying to lure
the alien back to it.
Speaker 2 (30:34):
Yeah, which it works.
Speaker 1 (30:35):
It works eventually, and the thing comes up and she
gets the shot sheet and the thing is at this point,
the creature is all the way opened up. It's like
this big, very very dainty. It almost seems like a
jellyfish type thing that flies in the air.
Speaker 2 (30:55):
You know.
Speaker 1 (30:56):
It's not like.
Speaker 3 (30:58):
It's also important then, and when it eats the inflatable
uh big boy burger thing, it kills it.
Speaker 1 (31:07):
Right. So it eats the big boy inflatable thing and
tries to you know, digest it or crush it or whatever,
and the thing explodes from the helien and the thing
is so fair that it just it gets blown to pieces.
Speaker 2 (31:24):
When it does that, she gets the shot. But for
some reason, she doesn't keep the picture. No, did you
notice that?
Speaker 1 (31:33):
I didn't. I didn't catch that.
Speaker 3 (31:36):
Yeah, I mean she got she ended up getting the shot,
but I don't know, I think maybe a bit by
that point they were just glad to be alive.
Speaker 1 (31:45):
Maybe so anyways that I don't think that there's not
much after that. I mean, she realized that her brother's
so alive.
Speaker 2 (31:56):
And and and the guy from the tech guy still tech.
Speaker 1 (32:01):
The caraman's gone, everybody from the ranch is gone, guy
from TMZ is gone. Yep, but they got the shot,
so they can now prove that aliens exist if they
kept it.
Speaker 3 (32:17):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (32:17):
Man, I mean it was a fucking cool movie. It
was different. I I went into this thing.
Speaker 3 (32:23):
I even watching the trailer. The trailer doesn't give you much.
It just it's like WHOA. The trailer is just like, okay,
yeah I want to see it. Because the trailer is
very well done and it doesn't it doesn't give give
away too much.
Speaker 2 (32:43):
So I'm gonna go ahead and say that this this, uh,
this movie's fucking dope.
Speaker 3 (32:51):
I liked it.
Speaker 2 (32:52):
It was cool, it was different, it was unique. I
I really it was a good pick. Who who was
the one who gave you.
Speaker 1 (33:01):
The Oh it was Darby, it was one, it was
her daughter.
Speaker 3 (33:05):
Awesome, awesome suggestion because because it was really fucking cool.
Speaker 1 (33:10):
Yep, it was very very cool. So yeah, awesome movie.
Ten out of ten.
Speaker 2 (33:16):
Ten out of ten.
Speaker 1 (33:19):
Kept you on the edge of the seat the whole time,
I wonder what the hell is gonna happen next? You
had no idea.
Speaker 2 (33:24):
It was never a lull in the movie at all.
Speaker 3 (33:27):
It was constantly had you on the edge of you
c just trying to guess what the fuck is gonna happen.
Speaker 1 (33:34):
Next, right, and just wondering, what the hell's what's what's
gonna happen, Where's it gonna go? Total rollercoaster. Awesome, awesome suggestion,
awesome movie. So oh yeah, man, thanks for listening. It's
been a real one. Later
