(00:00):
What kind of a man are you? The guy is unconscious in a coma
and you don't have the guts tokiss his girlfriend. I didn't know what
the comma etiquette was. There isno comma etiquette. See that's the beauty
of the comma man. It doesn'tmatter what you do around him. So
you're saying his girl, his car, his close, it's all up for

(00:20):
grabs. You can just loot thecoma victim. I give him twenty four
hours to get out of it.They can't get out of it by twenty
four hours. It's a land rush. So if the comma victim wakes up
in a month, he's thrilled hegot out of the coma. He goes
home. There's nothing left, nothingleft. Welcome to Talking Something out of

(00:56):
the podcast, where we discuss everythingwe know about the show about nothing.
This week we hit the review ofthe episode the Suicide I'd end up I
am guy. This episode wouldn't flyin twenty twenty two, so I've got
Besides the jokes targeted at suicide,I loved this episode, thought it was
hilarious, but all the stand upabout this, particularly at the end where

(01:18):
he was mocking people for not successfullycommitting suicide. I was like, I'd
know what this says about a theperson be the times that I was only
what two or three at this time. If that's what the minset was at
that time, man, if wecome a long way and thank god we
have, well I'm not sure thatwe were that sensitive, sympathetic or even

(01:42):
that aware about about mental health stuffat that stage or yeah, but that,
yeah, that that final bit ofstand up from Jerry and like do
you want a bit of college?I actually had to put on a shirt
so I could go all right,Yeah, I was. I was surprised
this is the kind of thing thatthey haven't tried to cancel, have that
kind of thing to remove from Netflix, because it's pretty helpful. But like

(02:02):
I said that aside, what Iwill say is I wake up very I
was having a very good morning today, and you know, because Nicholas gone
to work in Melbourn, manager ofthe stage. She's got to go work
in Melbourne on Mondays. Now I'mgetting the kids ready for daycare. They're
doing what they're told, They're gettingdressed, they're having their breakfast, brushing
their teeth, and I'll just betto go get myself ready, and then
I see the unfortunate news that JasonDavid Frank committed a suicide over nine.

(02:23):
He was like a child in ahero of mine. I couldn't believe.
I thought, really like, oh, I met him several years ago,
I'd love to be He's a lovelyperson's full positivity, but just goes to
show that you just don't know somebodysometimes you know, And he was hiding
all this pain. And unfortunately, you know, as you said, he
committed suicide over night. And Ijust thought, what are the odds of
us doing the episode the suicide thesame day one of my childhood heroes unfortunately

(02:44):
takes his own life. I thought, cheapest creepers, But I just did
want I did want to say though, that if you, you know,
if you are struggling with anything, speak up. As people say, it's
not weak to speak, you know. I'm glad we're so accepting now as
a society to allow people to seekhelp but not criticize them for it or
mock them for it. Is especiallythe male men out there, It's okay

(03:05):
to go out there. If you'refeeling down or that you feel like you're
alone, go and seek helps, and you can do so by In the
US you can call the National SuicidePrevention Lifeline one eight hundred two seven three
eight two five five. In theUK and Ireland in contact one one six
one two three, and Australia youcan contact your lifeline one three one one
one four. So make sure youcontact those helplines. If you feel like

(03:25):
you need someone to talk to,you absolutely talk to a professional by all
means. But even if you wantto, just take the first tentative step
of saying to a friend or someoneyou trust, or someone you can rely
on, someone who's very very closeto you, just let them know how
you're feeling. Yeah, they canalso be a first step. But yeah,
definitely take a bit of quote unquoteprofessional help or advice into account as

(03:49):
well. Yes, completely agree, mister Davis. But what I will say
is, like I said at thestart, all the suicide gags aside,
I really did enjoy this episode fora number of different seasons. It's just
sort of it feels weird to sortof laugh about an episode titled the Suicide
on a day when something like thishas happened, and it happens, you
know, it's not just one person. I'm sure it's happened to a lot

(04:11):
of people today and a lot oftragic stories out there, but the suicide
overalls an episode. The suicide jokesaside. What did you think, Oh,
yeah, very funny episode. Yeah, a lot to enjoying this.
I was watching it, and Ididn't feel like it was ever it was
implied that he come into suicide. It was never sort of like the worst
suicide was never brought up except forthe suicide machines when when Cramer and Joe
were discussing that. But it wasimplied that he'd tried to take his own

(04:35):
life. But it wasn't sort oflike the butt of the joke. I
feel like throughout the episode it wasjust a stand up really. Oh no,
I thought that that was the onlything that really sort of made fun
of suicide absolutely. I mean yeah, in all honesty, you know,
with Martin or Martin going into hiscoma, I mean, it could have
easily been like, oh, hewas so furious that that you were flirting

(04:58):
with me, Jerry, that hewent out and he you know, he
drank a whole bottle of vodka andnow he's got alcohol poison. He's gone
into it like or something like that, or you know, he went out
and picked a fight with some guyand you know he got one punched and
hit his head and now he's goingto Comma. It didn't necessarily have to
be he tried to take his ownlife or anything like that. So yeah,
I mean this is an episode thatcould be no reconfigured or something like

(05:24):
that. But no, for themost part, you know that it's too
good a comic setup. You knowthat Jerry's in the room with his woman
who's clearly hot to trot, buther coma doo's boyfriend is there as well,
and that's that's too good an opportunityto waste. So yeah, I
just thought though this episode, forme, what stood out the most was

(05:45):
right out of the gate, WayneNight as Newman absolutely iconic. I mean,
he delivery his mannerisms, what aperfect combination of just perfect actor for
the perfect role it very much isdoing. When Newman churn, I'm like,
this is the first Newman, right, we haven't we've seen we heard
him when I heard So this ishow it's awful circle. Right. So

(06:06):
Newman first appeared in the episode TheRevenge in season two, threatening to commit
suicide and Kramer says, I toldhim Jump he was voiced by Larry David
in that episode because I hadn't castway Night. That wasn't he was never
going to be a returning character, recurring character, and way Knight has said
that he thought this is going tobe a one time deal as well.
Originally, Newman was going to bethe son of the landlord and the building

(06:28):
snitch, because Jerry was very apprehensiveabout being bringing Newman into the show going
forward, because he said that hewas concerned about introducing Kramer's friends. He
thought it might ruin the mystique ofthe Kramer character. But I thought he
couldn't have been any more wrong, because Newman and Kramer as a duo are
just like perfect combination for comedy. They really are. But at the same

(06:49):
time, you wonder how these twogot together and sort of what they have
in common or what, you know, whether they balance each other or they
kind of yin and yang, becauseyou know who would be friends with Newman.
He's terrible. Well, that's thething I feel like when maybe when
they wrote this, he was stillgoing to be the son of the landlord,
because it doesn't feel like they werefriends at this point. He was
just sort of maybe he was collectingmoney from CRME or something like, because

(07:10):
at the end of yeah, I'dnever stepped foot in your apartment, and
I was like, are these guy'sfriends? But then when I realized,
oh wait, meant he was meantto be the son of the landlord.
Maybe they weren't necessarily friends. Iwas they were. They were buddies,
but they weren't best of mates likethey'd gone to become in the show.
But but yeah, I just thoughtthat Wayne Night was just incredible. From
considering this as his very first forperformance, it was he was immediately newman.

(07:32):
From the very first moment you sawhim, was like, Wow,
he just he just is Newman. It's just amazing. The first thing,
Hello Jerry, Hello Newman. Nowhe's clearly just relishing the heel to and
that he gets to take, youknow, and he's enjoying and finding ways
to make the most out of everysingle line, every single action, every

(07:57):
single expression on his face. Yeah. I always love it when you can
tell that an actor just is insync with something but also sees an opportunity
and just goes after it like adog with a bones, Like oh yeah,
I mean this is something that couldreally make me, and to an
extent it has. I mean,I'm sure wayn Night has known for a

(08:18):
lot of other things. He's nedriof course in Jurassic Park. But yeah,
I mean he's when did this episodehere? This is? This is
I believe ninety ninety two. Yeah, January twenty nine, ninety two.
Okay, so yeah, this sortof I'm pretty sure I knew of Wayne
Night before then. Or he's gothe's got the kind of face and kind

(08:41):
of voice that you don't really forget, but you know, he's got this,
I think. But he's in BasicInstinct, which comes out the same
year, you know, and he'sgot to He's not in that a lot,
but I mean it's very memorable.I mean it's the second most memorable
thing in the Sharon Stone interrogation room. So you know what the first one
is. The second one is wayNight just sweating up a storm just like

(09:07):
it's so good. And then ofcourse you know he's got Jurassic Park I
think the following year, and andfrom there we're off to the races and
way to Night becomes Wayne Night.I watched we watched Jurassic Park, or
two thirds of because Elliott fell asleepbecause he was just nacking his numb out
in the studio the other day.It was sort of we've blacked out the
windows and stuff. Thought was likea cinnamon and his popcorn. And I

(09:28):
forgot just how much of a littledick Dennis Needre was weasel Way Night.
It's just like the ultimate heel.I was like, you little shit Heead
absolutely heel turned from man Man.Yeah, that's so good. But it
was for someone who grew up inthe nineties. Way Night is remembered for
these things, so I felt Newman. He was in Space Jam. He
was stamped, honestly, Podlac orsomething like that. Space Jam. The

(09:52):
guy that was sort of time supposedto be looking after Michael Jordan. He
was done in Third Off from theSun, which is a role that I
think many people forget about. Andhe was very good in the roles the
police officer, Sally's boyfriend in Throatfrom the Sun. It was also the
voice of Um of the Bad Guyand Toy Story two. He was the
collector. Was he the collector?Yeah? The guy that oh of course

(10:13):
he was. He was too ohWay Night, villain of the nineties,
right, except I mean, inThird from the Sun, he wasn't necessarily
a villain, but he was sortof like it was the dumb He's not
the Chief Wigham a threat from theSun, and of course the agents needy
as well, So it was justthat it was a very good weasel.
Yes, yeah, I'd say there'sa little due affection and appreciation and respect.

(10:39):
Yeah. A pathetic kind of guy, yeah yeah, but did it
with such dignity that he almost didn'tfeel sorry for him? Yeah, pathetic
slash poisonous. Yeah, terrible, terrible, terrible scumback, because like George
and and Newman are both despicable peoplefor their own reasons. But I feel

(11:01):
like Newman is more of a heelwhere George is relatable. Where's just he's
just not a fraid to cross thatline. It's just George is more of
a sap. And yeah, Newmanis definitely a heel. Yes, yeah,
the ultimate heel. I loved it. But but yeah, besides that,
you were mentioning the coma scene, which is one of my favorite moments.
We'll get to our favorites in themoment, but I just loved the

(11:22):
Martin yelling at Martin trying to seehe's waking up because it's like he's so
scared this one. Are you surehe's not gonna wake up? He's in
a coma. It just just wantsto make sure, And I was like,
this would be me as well.I just wanted to confirm I'm not
gonna get the shitty down to me. Also, we're mentioning before that that
Newman first appears voice only in TheRevenge, so Larry David had Wayne Knight

(11:46):
rerecord those lines for syndication so thatit would all feel like it was or
you watch it on the David's andwhatnot, though it's actually got the original
Well I watch it on Netflix thisone but had the original voice Larry David
in The Revenge. But yeah, this is also an episode that we're very
shows. We're very much entering theera of intertwining stories that have a big
conclusion at the end. There's asort of building towards one scenario where they're

(12:09):
all there and everything's relating to thenext story, like Elaine eating the cake,
which means that Jerry gets dpped onby Newman and Kramer. Once he's
um he's vacuum back and George isin the hospital, so he finds the
psychic he's given back to them.Maybe it just always calamities just happen,
but all in the same place. It's it's this is sort of like quintessential
Seinfeld, you know. Yeah, but also I mean when I tend to

(12:31):
think of Seinfeld, I think avery sort of verbal a lot of people
sort of trading zingers back and forth, or you know, people getting burned
whatever. And this has very manic, screwball comedy physical energy as well.
You know, people sort of runningfrom place to place, and you know,
things been thrown about in struggles andwrestles and all that kind of business,
which you know is also a Sinefeldthing. But yeah, this strikes

(12:54):
me is it's not the first timethat they've done it, but it's a
really good example of it. Howenergetic it is. That is a good
one. What were your favorite moments? Well, like I said, I
mean, just all the stuff withWayne Nighter thought was great. I mean,
yeah, as I said, justreally steering into that heel turn and
just enjoying it so much. He'sfirst life. I can't eat fruit.

(13:18):
It makes me in cutting it.As you said, the first sort of
the coma scene I guess where.Yeah, damn, I haven't written it
down. But the actress who playsGina, so you want to plays Gina,
yes, Hednamage Gina Georgina is whatshe's not her real name is,

(13:39):
but Gena Galigo is her name,Gena Gleigos So ye, yeah, I
mean Gene Gligo is playing playing Gina. Lovely bit of synchronicity there is fantastic
um could be Gallagho, it's gl Ego. I'm gonna say Galigo.
Could be Gallago though, could becould be Galagha, it could be the
Great, It could be Galaxian.Yeah, but she's fantastic. And just

(14:01):
the ban the banter and the rhythmbetween her and Jerry I thought were jazz
Marlon is it the proper venue thatwas was just so great. The way
that she sort of every man. He's just that he's scared, but she's
like, what kind of man areyou? And he's like, okay,
I'll do it. We can't resistit. But even in the sort of

(14:24):
quieter moments and when they're at Jerry'sapartment and then he's like, I will
show you the students. It's verygood, isn't it. Yeah? That's
fantastic. But I think one thingI enjoyed the most, and because I'm
a bit of a psycher for George. Just when Jerry's taking his rubbish out
and he's trying to make George totake it out, George just looks,
yeah, right, I mean, even George has some dignity. What are

(14:48):
you doing, Jerry trying to makehim take your rubbish out? But then
the way it falls into the whole, I'll give you a two dollars fifty
cents, so you know you canget a Drakes with that. Drakes.
It's like, oh, this isDrakes. They're bringing dre into this.
It's a very sci fi think thatthe Drake's coffee cake, you know,
feel like a particular thing. Likelast week it was Pears. This week
it's Drake's coffee cake, and thatbecomes like a like like Drake's must have

(15:11):
love this. Oh yeah, Imean I don't think Drake's coffee cake had
ever come up in conversation for meprior to this, and the only time
it's ever come up in conversation sincethis is in relation to side Feld.
But I think when I went toNew York, I'm like, should I
try Drake's coffee cake while here, because I don't think we had them in

(15:33):
Australia. But it's too sweet thatfalls apart in your hand. I also
really enjoyed the just the line fromJerry here vacations sidekicks, how about you
just get a job? I did. I've I'm equal parts go easy.

(15:54):
But also I'm like, yeah,I understand his kind of frustrations, like
why are you frustrate? What's itgoing to do with you? At the
same nimes like, yeah, you'renot worrying? What what are you break?
Get me up at eleven? I'mthere, Yes, cross out one
of my trivia questions. Okay, eleven. Oh, let's get into Let's

(16:15):
get into trivia and shall we?Yes? Could you spell that? Please?

One of yours is what did Gandhieat before he fasted? Gandhi love triscuts?

(17:02):
Yes, the box of triscuits, box of triscus. Uh. My
first question, do you Dando inGeorge's dream where it was Martin performing stand
up? Ah Can of bug Port, Maine, bunk Put, Maine.
Yes, it was an That's whatit was, an ominous nightclub. My

(17:22):
next question is what is the nameof the daughter of the psychic? Her
name is Faithy, not just faithbut Faithy correct Faithy. Have you got
any more for me? Have Iruined it? No? No, Well,
I did have the triscuits one thatwas one of mine as well.
But the psychics. What was thepsychic's name again, Ruler, I don't

(17:47):
remember. Ruler. Yeah, ruler, that makes sense, yeah, ruler.
Yeah, the psychic ruler who superintendentof the building used to be what
an Israeli commander? That commander commando? Sorry commando, Yes he went commando,
so yeah he did. Yes,I love his Cormandola when she's when
Lane's delirious, she imagines a mountainof what type of food? Oh man,

(18:14):
how was like dog food? No? She did, does mention dog?
Mentioned dog? But no, notin a mountain? No, no,
no, it's a mountain of duck, and not the fatty duck.
Oh duck. Yeah, yeah, lovely, lovely plump duck breast. Oh
yes, you're a duck. Go. I'm not much of a done that.
Never eaten it in my life.My dad just like hunts ducks and
eat like and eats them like.He doesn't just shoot him for the second
shooting them. I Um never eatenit, never tasted it. I once

(18:36):
Mum made like a stew and toldus it was just chicken. It was
actually rabbit. So I've eaten rabbitbefore and I liked it, But ever
since then, I'm just I don'twant to eat rabbit. Anymore. Just
the idea of eating rabbit just Ididn't like it. But I tasted rabbit
once and I did like it becauseI didn't know it was rabbit at the
time. But I've never tasted duck. I've had goat. Goat is really
nice, okay, just unlike lamb. But then you see little baby goats

(18:57):
leaping around, I'm like, Idon't think I'm want to weak you either.
But then you look at any animalthat's one it's a baby. I'm
like, oh, I should needyou. You're cute. But your tea
is so good an animal really,And I'm like, I don't know why
I eat you, but I do. Um. But yeah, I've a
bit of duck, but a peekingduck is very nice. In the other
little yeah, they're they're good.Um. I don't think I have any

(19:18):
other questions for you, my man. No more, all right, I
have one more for you. Goahead. Why doesn't Neuman not like the
beach? Oh he freckles. Freckles. That's that's it. That's just a
great example. I mean, it'sa line that could be nothing on the
page, but you this a smartactor, and the right actor looks that

(19:41):
and go weeah, I can throwsome hot sauce on that. Yeah,

was January twenty ninth, nineteen ninetytwo. It was written by Tom at
Leopold and directed by A. TomCharrones. Episode kicks off with some stand

(21:11):
up discussing given a yurine sample ata physical examination. I don't think I've
ever given it had a physical examination, but I do relate to the hearing
test. I thought this was sogreat because whatever you do, we hear
just when you're younger. He literallytried and give best. She's like,
am I hearing something or not?Like he sort of give its you something.
You're hearing something when you can't actuallyhear anything. Yeah, yes,
that was a cotton ball touching somefelts. We're gonna send these tests to

(21:33):
Washington. You are going to meetthe president. I thought it was very
good. I liked it. Werenow at Joe's apartment and to have the
discussion Elaine sitting there smashing down somepotato ships. She's just filling her face
because she's not going to be ableto eat for three days. And Jerry
us, if someone's named Resputan, does that have a negative effect on their
life? And she doesn't believe itdoes. And she discusses how she's gonna

(21:53):
be fasting for three days due tothe ulcer test and who could have given
me ulcers? And how are younot hanging around with these people? But
yes, yeah, oh that shouldhave been my other my next tribute question
because unfortunately I didn't use my littlemarketer. I liked it. But yeah,
Elaine says that she might have thisbefore she goes on her three day

(22:15):
fast at steak with French Friday onionrings or something Frida onion rings. I'm
like, oh, dad, yeah, that sounds delicious. Jerry said,
I'm gonna take out the garbage actuallyspeaking of this, right, So I
saw her I'm a diagram. It'sprobably old news now, but I just
saw it this week on social mediathat Joe's apartment couldn't it couldn't work the

(22:36):
way isn't that as planned out?Because the hallway would run through the kitchen
because he walks out of his doorand turns right, and that's where his
kitchen should be because that the doorframe, it goes into the kitchen.
You know what I mean. Ithink I've heard about that. Yeah.
Yeah, the Genry's apartment is justlogistically impossible. Hey, do me favorite

(22:56):
my garbage? Funny? Yeah right, come on just down the wall,
give me two bucks. I doit for two bucks. I give you
fifty cents. There's no way Itouched that bag for less than two hours.
Come on, fifty cents. Giveyou some a drake sclaffy cake,

(23:18):
you know, getting drake'scloffy cake forfifty cents. Many so they have a
discussion here, but the Drake's coffeecake, and that's what we're saying.
Yeah, Drake's would have been like, oh yes, thank you for that
product placement. I wonder how manyhow much product placement existed in sign fune
word. It was just it wasalmost like they have thrown their dick around
saying, yeah, we can makeyou guys a bit of money, you
know, a bit. But it'sfunny. It's never felt like cynical or

(23:41):
calculating. To me, everything theypulled in sort of feels organic or it
feels like something that Jerry or LarryDavid or anyone associated with the show is
really into, you know, asopposed to, Yeah, they're not pulling
the whole uh Wayne Campbell sort ofturning the coke and towards the camera or

(24:04):
anything like that. Figure that productplace. But it worked, honestly though,
I mean given how you know theyhow they're always talking about going to
various movies that aren't real, likeRochelle Rochelle and you know, Prognosis negative
and all that. If I didn'tknow that Drake's coffee cake was actually real

(24:26):
cake, I would be like,oh, they've just made up a coffee
cake. But it sounds, itfeels like it's very much part of the
Seinfeld universe. So it's funny howlike like someone who grew up in Geelong,
we don't have Drake's here, Iwould never know what Drake's coffee cake
is, but I now know there'sa small size and it's a large size.
Yeah, it's crumbling and sound sweetexactly. George says he's going to

(24:48):
be going on vacation. Are yougoing? Who goes on a vacation when
you get a job. We needa brief getting up at eleven am,
and George says, um, youknow you should come with me, and
Joey says, now it's nonrefundable.I can't commit to a woman, then
I'm not going to commit to anairline, and then flirts with with Gina
about the cake, and I waslike, Jerry, you were totally flirting
with Jennie here. Oh my god, yeah for him, you were flirting,

(25:10):
whether of course you were in thesame day. So don't you play
itocent here, buddy. Every reasonto sort of be a little bit annoyed.
I mean, Jenny was given itback to Jerry as well. And
Martin a very nice person, butif I was Martin, I'd almost be
like the funk's this guy doing?Just loved I love Martin's response to how
I good enough? Good enough?Getting your button walked past? And then

(25:36):
Jerry leaves the leaves the garbage atKramer's door, and Kramer takes him inside.
That's a beautiful button on the sameKramer just big, sort of looking
around like, oh, I'd betterget this before anyone else does, and
then discuss his reaction George and Jerry, I should should he react to the
way it disn't Elaine, She says. He mentions that you mentioned earlier the

(25:57):
steak with the fright, and raisessounds delicious, and George goes, wait
a minute, Martin, I don'tdream about this guy, and he explains
the dream about being at the endthe nightclub where miss Davis kenny Bunkport,
Maine. Do you know what Ijust remembered something. I had a dream
about that guy last night. Thisis amazing. What's so amazing you've seen

(26:21):
him before? I haven't seen himfor months. What was the dream?
He was doing stand up comedy inKennebunkport, Maine. It's really Commonness nightclub.
The stage was on a cliff andthe audience was throwing all the comics
off. I think I've played there. A lot of other paranormal stuff happened
to me. You're a little paranormal. Pay one paranormal thing that happened to

(26:45):
you. I knew I was goingto be bald. Your father's ball.
Baldness is inherited from the mother's side, Jerry. But your mother's bald too.
Okay, George, you know myfriend goes to a psychic. Really,
what's go from? I love thegirl, make make an appointment,
psych expectations, how about getting ajob? I love Jerry just sort of

(27:11):
either can't bear to lose or justsaw a great opportunity for his singer in
there and like, ye do that. But yeah, when my hair started
going, and I was like,I started doing a bit of research and
was like, do they come fromyour dad or is my hair really going?
And then read, oh, yeah, it comes from you from your
mum's side. And I looked atmy two uncles. Yeah yeah, I

(27:32):
mean, look, it may beother things as well, but I think
primarily it's um. Yeah, itcomes from your mother's side. That's good
because all my dad's side are likeoh boored. My mum's side are just
like my grandfather and my mumside's passedaway now. But my mom's dad was
like seventy eight. He had afull head of hair. Oh yeah,
well that was that was Bobby beforehe passed away him and he was a
silver fox like you best it.But yeah, I looked at my mum's

(27:56):
brothers, my uncles and both asballs eggs, Oh my, that's me.
And honestly, I look at picturesof my um, of my minacl
Teddy when I was younger, andI'm like, oh, man, I'm
turning into that guy, which isgreat because Uncle Teddy's an absolutely urgin.
But yes, borders on the mother'sside. Here's nothing Norman being bought.
Oh, absolutely not. I've gota rid The echapped head lady suggests go

(28:21):
to a psychic, and for somereasons, whenever I hear the word psychic,
I think of that John Edwards guyshim crossing over with John Edwards rossing
over. That was that was hugefor like two or three years. Do
you remember? It was like fuckingmassive. Everyone Well, I don't know
what the culture always needs a psychicin it, or maybe there's just cycles

(28:41):
whereby it's like, oh, apsychic, Oh, they can tell us
what's going to happen, What's what'son the other side. The Lovely Louise
was watching Tyler Henry this teen Psychicor teen Medium or something on Netflix.
By the end, I'm like, what's this garbage? I'm watching this,
and then I just got hooked in. See. I think everyone likes the

(29:04):
idea of it being real. Everyonewants it to be real, but only
a very small I don't than asmall portion, but only I would say,
like less than fifty percent of thepopulation really believe it, But I
think the majority of people want tobelieve it to be real because we all
have to think that our loved onesare watching down on us. But I
just can't up and see that bethe cynic in it and go, you're
taking money from people who are desperatelyseeking the love of their lost ones.

(29:27):
And he capitalized gonna be a pieceof shit. Well, yeah, there
is that, absolutely, But youknow, if there was a psychic out
there who could just you know, give you some definitive evidence about something about
either you know, the existence ofan afterlife or it's like I am predicting
the future and I can tell youthat this is going to happen, and

(29:48):
then exactly that happened. I mean, I think people anyway for me to
believe it would be to approach JohnEverard on the street and he had no
idea of who I am, Hedidn't know I was going to be coming,
and he was able to tell mesomething about somebod who's passing my family.
They do not believe that ship, but all the people on that show,
everyone in the audience, they doresearch on everybody they know what's going
on in there? Come on,guys. So yeah, four Finger Discount

(30:12):
is not a pro psychic podcast.I mean, if you want to believe
it, but people believe what youwant to believe. You're not hurting anybody.
Believe whatever makes you happy, whatevergets you through the night. Exactly
what I was about to say,to quote the man written on on Dando's
arm. Whatever gets us through thenight. It's all right, yes,
all right, A Lane said, asked about Gandhi, what do you think

(30:33):
he would have eaten before he fastened? Triskets? Have you ever had a
trisket, mister Davis? So Ithink we get triscates here, do we?
I don't think we have, butyou know the thing about you know,
think about other countries. Yes,we probably got a variation on the
trisket. Would like a ritz ora jets? Be like a trisket?
Do you think? Or shake?Let's look it up, trisket. Let's

(30:55):
have a look, shall we.That's not about before we do though,
I just I love Jerry. Yeahwe've mentioned it before, but psychics vacations
about getting a job. Yeah,That's what I'm saying earlier. It's so
funny. Yeah, it's just aIt's true though, it's like as you're
saying, leave the guy, aline, let him do what he wants.
But also like George response, Ionly just got fired. But the triskets

(31:21):
here they look they're a snack crackerwhich take the form of a square bait
whole wheat wafer invented. Yeah,we'd have something similar to that. Yeah,
of course, Yeah, I've writritz like a square shaped ritz would
be a thing. Yeah. Yeah, they're and they're very Moorish as well.
They're not necessarily you know, I'mgetting ducked down to the supermarket and
get a boxer ritz or something. But you know if when you're a kid

(31:48):
and you're over at you're having asleepover at someone else's house or whatever.
You know, you're wake up earlyand you're not raid their pantry, but
it's like, I'm really angry. You have a couple of rits like,
oh man, these are good, and then you're really go to town on
him. Yeah, especially the extrasalty ones. I used to love mummised
to make him from my school lunch. She just get the ritz crackers,
but she just get like cheese andcut him into four four little mini squares.

(32:09):
Like a slice of cheese and cheeseand crackers, mate, and very
sophisticated too. That's your that's yourplay lunch. That's recess lunch. That's
your recess. Yeah, yeah, morning, your morning snack. Here we
go again talking about food. Wellwe can't, we can't do this around

(32:30):
lunch time. No, Gina, she's banging on Jerry's down in the middle
of the night. Martin has triedto kill himself with pills. So does
actually say he tried to kill himself? She must say that? Does she
tried to kill himself with pills? She must actually say that? Um,
and I love the conversation here aboutthe robe. Should get the robe.
There's no time that I me quicklythat there's no type. Get the robe.

(32:50):
Yes, I get the robe.Every every every scene they have together
just has that love, has thatfantastic rhythm. It's it's so good.
They'll do with them. It's Gina, Oh Martine's girlfriend, Martin your next
door neighbor. Oh Martin, it'sMartine. I think he's dying. He

(33:12):
tried to kill himself with pills. What come on in my pajamas. We'll
get my robe. We don't nothave time is not time or of two
seconds? All right, go ahead, no fain, no, go ahead,
no, just wear the pajamas. You'll just get it. Are you
sure get it? Come on now, go get the rope. We're now

(33:35):
at the hospital. And a referencehere that sort of gets lost on modern
audiences. The younger audience is nowthe well, it's not like a Sunny
Vone Bulohm if if you're interested, folks, check out the film Reversal of
Fortune, starring Jeremy Irons and GlennClose. Of course, just Wikipedia Sunny
von Buelow and get the whole lowdownon that. On that case, which

(33:58):
is the husband got off for that, right he certainly? I think he
got off on technicality. Yeah, yeah, you know why he did this
because I told him it was over. I did not want to see him
anymore. Really, it's over.I could outstand it another minute. Yesterday
he turned over as our great hotdogs. Then because he thought the man

(34:21):
was looking at me. And thenafter he saw you in the hall,
Oh he was crazy with jealousy.Oh boy, did he say anything about
me? He does not like youin all indications, or he does not
like Drake's coffee cake. He saidthat he was screaming about it all night,

(34:44):
how it's too sweet and it fallsapart when you eat it. I'm
sorry if I caused any trouble.I was just being friendly. I wasn't
you weren't. I think there's somethingabout the idea of somebody being jealous over
you. It's like, oh,yeah, well I am very special.
Oh I am competition? Am Iokay? Then bold, I'll accept that.

(35:10):
I mean, you don't like tosee your partner annoyed. But have
you ever seen Louise jealous of someone, like looking at you or anything?
Didn't even happen. A couple oftimes in my relationship with Nicola, Rov
seen her jealous, and I'm like, sort of makes this makes me.
It's just seeing the jealous side ofsomebody. It's just different when you're jealous.
You know that's true. I don't. I don't believe I've seen Louise

(35:35):
behave that way, not of anylack of devotion or anything like that.
But don't know. I think we'reboth fairly secure in our tires. Don't
one another show? Yeah? Idid like Gina here, All indications pointed
he has not like Jake's coffeecake, and then she starts floating with Jerry,
and then you thought about me,of course, he said the way he

(35:57):
says, of course, it's likeit's like a little boy. It's funny,
like I'm saying. The rhythm andthe banter and the interaction between Jerry
and Gene, it's so good, and you'd generally, oh, wow,
these two would actually be really wellmet. I don't think they would.
I think it'd be terrible. Butfor all the um, all the tempestuals

(36:22):
this in it, Martin Gena seemedactually very well suited a part. They're
very hot, temper and very passionate. That's a that's a nice way of
saying it, which is another wayof saying just dramatic. That's why they
end up moving to the village together. Correct. Yes, as I was
saying earlier, I love this wherehe screams Martin right in his face.

(36:43):
How the actor kept the straight faceduring that, I have no idea,
because the way you screamed Martin wasso good. And Gene said, I
actually want him dead. I'm gonnapull the plug. I know how you
feel, but juries these days,I'm not sure how they'd see this.
And she demands that he kiss herright and of him. Man. If
I was in a situation, Iwould also be like Jerry, I know

(37:05):
this is the right kind of rightkind of he say, right kind of
room? Was it right? Kindof is it? Is it the proper
venue? Proper venue? That's theway. Yeah. I have thought about
you many times? Have you thoughtabout me? Of course? Tell me
everything. Are you sure you can'thear anything? Martin? Martin, I

(37:37):
wish he was not gonna call myI wish he was dead. I would
like to put the plug out fromhim. I would I would wait on
that one. I know how youfeel, but juries today you never know
how they're gonna look at a thinglike that. I saw you looking at
your watch. Do you want toleave? Go ahead? No? I

(37:57):
just want to see what time itwas? Are you afraid of him?
No? Thank kiss me here?Yes? Here? Is this the proper
venue? Do you don't want to? No? No? I want to.
I very much want to. Idesire to. I pine to thank
kiss me right in front of kid. What if he wakes up? A
man is lying here unconscious and you'reafraid of him? What kind of a

(38:21):
man are you? A man ofrespects, a good com the way he's
able to come up with an explanationthat's like, I'm not chicken shit,
I have a very good reason. He tries to sort of keep the upper
hand or keep his manhood. It'shilarious. Kramer is an annoyed that Martin's
in a chemic or he's got hisvacum cleaner, And originally I had in

(38:42):
my notes. Why doesn't he justask Jena for it? Yeah, but
Gina cal sure it is kind ofintimidating. Yeah, I guess so.
Yeah. I thought she could havegone to his apartment and get it for
him. Anyway, my cop,it's a filthy had you know, Newman
told him. There's a little linehere the Mica. Cramer says he's got
all the attachments plus all the attachments. He asked Allen's going to be a

(39:07):
came before before, Helen to bea coming before you can ask someone's ex
out, and Cramer suggests doctor Kevorkianand they talk about the suicide machine.
This is another line here that thatwouldn't fly. Now there's no tall building
where people where people live, uppylips around and revolve like a normal person.
I'm like, whoa shit, Iwould not be saying that. Now
here's my quote. Geez, you'renot getting away with these suicide gags today,

(39:30):
not at all. You couldn't.I don't think you could even call
the episode the suicide. Oh no, you probably could, but I feel
like that it's woulden't to avoid thehassle. They'd probably just call it the
psychic or the vacuum cleaner. Ithink they'd pick another, pick, another
plot to had to focus on.He explains that Gina wanted a kiss,
and that's that's a great thing aboutMeta training woman Cramage just so, I

(39:53):
just love that Cramage just seems tobe so um experienced with many things met
a training women. And Cramer thenask, you know what kind of man
are you? You wouldn't Kis andjerryus, I didn't know about coma etiquette.
There is no crama etiquette. Youknow, you go for it.
Girl can't clothes or off for grabs. I'm gonna loud a coma victim.
Of course, if they can't getout twenty four hours, it's a land

(40:15):
rush. God like, this isnot what life is like. But I
can actually imagine this is what Cramanbelieves. And yeah, I wonder how
many people after this episode were concernedabout going to a coma fear and that
all start revising their wills or something. Yeah, so so what are you

(40:36):
saying is that the week up aftera month, there's nothing left, nothing
left, That's why, and that'swhy he wants he's back and cleaner now,
because he fears someone else is goingto lose it, someone else is
going to take it. George andElena. Now at the psychic's house.
Was a ruler was it a name? Ruler? Yeah? Ruler and faith
faith. He just I love theset up with this place, you know,
just some complete, just shoddy fuckingpsychic. Yeah. Just and when

(41:01):
things are going her way, shethreatens them, you know, threatens them
with almost like the pimp, youknow. Oh yeah, but they're talking
about or she offers Drake's coffee cakeand Elane obviously because she still kind of
eat. She's just she's get startinga bit somewhat delirious, and she's I
hadn't originally my notes why she's soagitated, but of course she's agitated,

(41:22):
but because she hasn't had any foodfor a few days. So then she
goes, who's Pauline my brother wantsa pregnant a woman named Pauline. One
of only a couple of times wehear about Jerry's brother, who we never
actually see on screen, George's brother. Yeah, he's not actually played by
anybody in the show. We justhear about him a couple of times.
But then she said, I seeAudrey Audrey with a small nose. Of

(41:45):
course, yeah, I loved hervery deeply. Was she ever talked to
me again? Not in this lifetime. Then Elaine questions her about smoking while
she's pregnant, and I was like, I'm pretty sure Elaine is in the
right here. You shouldn't be fuckingsmoking when you're pregnant. That is very
much correct. This episode is veryreally shows how far we've come as a
society that you know, that's spokenside with kids at all anymore. That's

(42:06):
just the thing, by the way, a great lin Ordrew is like,
you think about it, But whenI hear a name mentioned Pauline, Yeah,
Elaine's constantly interrupting George's reading by complainingabout the cigarette and things like that,
and George he just wants that answer, why can't I go on this
holiday? But no, he's notgoing to get it, because Eline just
keeps young elects tries to throw themout. She said her supero isn't Israeli

(42:30):
commando, and George leaves immediately whenthey get a stand up about psychics and
how they should all be licensed toparallel park without without being able to see.
I'm like, I agree that quickcidber is Ralei special Forces or commando
or martial arts. It seems tobe a real shorthand for like, you
don't fuck with these guys. Yeah, if you're a commando, it just

(42:52):
I just have a video supercommando andhe didn't funk with those people like they
were they were. But if youhere is raisily before anything, it's like,
oh my well, no, thoseguys are the toughest. Are the
toughest or you're like, we've beenraised to think that way. I think.
So it's like if you're going tostudy of martial art, well,
you know, you could do jiujitsu or karates, but you could do

(43:13):
kravmagag. Oh they u sent inthe Israeli special vols. Oh they'll fuck
you ride up. Let me askyou, what will you do if Martine
wakes up run away? Lack ofMounts. No, I'm more like the
three Stooges at the end of ther Who are these stuges? You speak

(43:34):
up? They're a comedy team.Tell me about them everything. Well,
there are three kind of funny lookingguys and they'd hit each other a lot.
You will show me the Stogies.I will show you the studges when
well, I don't really know wherethe Stooges are right now. If I

(43:57):
homecade them, you'll be the firstto know. You walk me to a
cab? Well, I M.I don't want you to get upset or
anything, but with Martin and all, maybe it's not such a good idea
for us to be seen together inthe building because you know he had a
lot of friends here. You arestill afraid you are not a man.
Well then, what are all thoseties and sport jack it's doing in my

(44:20):
closet? How do you like towalk me to a cab or not?
Yeah? All right, Oh again, you're still afraid you are not a
man? Always just straight about hisscore. You are not a man.
If there's one thing that men hatebeing called, it's not a man.
It's like you're not met. Yeah, you are not a man. It's

(44:40):
like, oh Jesus Christ, now, I have to do it now.
So he gives in and as soon, of course, as soon as he
walks at the door, he saysNewman with Kramer in the first line from
Newman, canny fruit makes me cutting. But as we was describing early,
as we're saying Wayne Knight's mannerisms, the look on his face of hello,
je he is the saying, oh, I fucking caused you in the act

(45:01):
to wait till Martin hear's about this. He didn't have to say any of
that. He just says it withhis smirk like way night it was fucking
great. We're now at the hospitalfor a lane, of course, for
an appointment, and Jerry is concernedthat Newman's going to tell Martin if he
wakes up, and George says,de Lene, you know, Elane,
people smoke. Okay, I thought, George, of all people, you

(45:22):
feel like he'd be someone who wouldbe having an issue with someone smoking whilst
pregnant. But I guess because atthe end he was able to get something
that he wanted, he was willingto put up with it. I don't
know anyway, but Elaine's just completelydelirious here did you see the wall move?
I'm not really will this happened afternot eating for three days? Well?
Yeah she is? She is?She in her third day at this
stage. Yeah, yes, becauseshe's about to go into an appointment.

(45:45):
She's waiting to go in. Ohyeah, of course. Yeah. It
seems like an awful long time, too fast. I was about to say,
is it even legal? Don't tellsomeone you can't eat for three days?
I'm pretty sure when I have goneto something like you can't eat like
that morning, I'm like, Okay, that's fine. I like, yeah,
or at the most it's like twentyfour hours or something, and you

(46:06):
know at least eight of those aregoing to be sleeping. Yeah, can't
we go up and have a midnightcookie? Though? So Jerry says to
George, you I've ever gone toa coma. Please make sure you take
everything out of my apartment in thefirst twenty four hours. And now Eline
says, how do we know thedog food is any good? Who tastes
it? So she's just she's justin another world. By this point,
this is where Kramer arrives and Newman'svisiting Martin. But this is where George

(46:28):
as coming to buy the Camman Islandticket. I love this here. What
do you want to go? Thepsychic says, something bad happened? I
did, very open minded. Cramergood on it. Yeah he is.
Yeah. Kramer is then yelling atMartin for the vacuum. He was just
sitting there. Let's let him doit. Newman says, I'm we'll just
buy a new one. Obvious thecarpet sweeper. Ye're the biggest scam peppe

(46:51):
trained on the American public, saysone hour. Martin nsing It's like,
well, my rogue seems okay. You could come see it. I wouldn't
set foot in your house. AndI was like, what other friends?
But obviously the way point. Jerrythen enters, and Newman's smile says it
all again. Hello, Hello Jerry. How's he doing? It looks happy

(47:14):
to me. I hope he staysthis happy when he wakes up. Why
wouldn't he No reason, I'll havea lot of catching up to do.
I guess I'll bring him up todate. I'll up to date all the
way up. Yeah, nothing couldchange your mind. Well, it would

(47:36):
take a hell of a lot, because a friend is something you earn.
Okay, Jerry as a friend whohas free tickets to the Cayman Islands this
weekend. He's not going. Idon't care much for the beach. I
freckle. Is that a Drake's coffey? Kid? Where did you get that?

(48:04):
On my out? I got awhole box of them, that's the
full size. That's your bit, boy? Can I have a bank?
I don't give out bites. Igot another one, but I'm saving it
for late. Just one bite,I don't think so, you know,

(48:30):
there there's a fragile all right,all right, I won't say anything.
You swear. I swear on yourmother's life, on my mother's life.
He was the famous response here,Oh look when you swein your mother's like,

(48:51):
shit's getting real. Now you can'tgo back. You swing your mother's
life. When you're a kid, when someone said swrowny mother's life, you
thought twice you're like fuck, Likeokay, I was going to go back
on this, but now, likeis it worth my mother's life? Let's
let's think about this. I meanthere's always that there's that interesting line where

(49:13):
it's like you may be young enoughthing this is actually good curse my mother
who life, but also just beingold enough to go. Well, if
I say, if I if Imake a problems with my mother's life and
then I go back on it,They're gonna get that's how much regard you
hold your mother in? Is it? Oh, you're a person of low
character. I remember the first timebeing in like a school excursion and like

(49:34):
this kid going, don't step ona crack. It broke your mother's back
And what the whole data spell tryingto avoid the cracks in the nick ground.
Just funny what you believe when you'rea kid. But everyone believes something,
don't they Like, I'm sure,I'm sure you believe in something.
We've all had that moment. We'veall had that moment. I feel like
in our life where we've gone something, We've had something happened in our life
where it's gone. Maybe there isenough to life, Maybe this shit is

(49:55):
real, Maybe there is something moreto life than just what's here on this
earth. Like I had a dreamonce. I've only even had one dream
about my uncle Nolan. He passedaway in two thousand and I had a
dream about five years later, andin my dream it was just like I'm
just coming back just to say goodbye. You never got a chance to say
goodbye. That's the only time I'veever dreamt about it. And I'm like,
that's just something. I'm just like, I know it's probably just bullshit,

(50:16):
but it was just odd, youknow, just one time only.
I never dreaded about him once andhe came back in my dream to say,
I just come to say goodbye becauseyou never had the chances say goodbye
to me. And it's just oneof those things. And I'm just like,
oh, yeah, Like that's whyI'll never one commited to not believing.
If that sounds silly, true,No, no, true true.
I mean, but you know,it could be a transmission from the grave

(50:37):
beyond, or it could be thefact that you know, there are more
wish things than the human Yes,there are more neurons than the human brain
than there are stars in the universe, and you know those ones just decided
to light up at that particular time. Yeah, anyway, to see everything's
going to ship at the hospital, but yeah, just not the reaction when
Creamer Elaine's completely delirious talking about theMountain of Duck not the fatty George and

(51:00):
chases Faithy and she goes into thedelivery room and I was like, George,
you are stepping over a line heresaid he did not go into a
delivery room when someone's about to getback to a baby. He's apologizing to
um to Rule and she's just notlistening at all. He tells Faithy to
go get the nurse and he's liketo tell me, well, why can't
take the trip. She says, don't take the trip? Why? Why?
Because? Why? Because why?And he's chasing around of the room.
Eline then tries to take the coffeecake from Newman and just at this

(51:22):
point, Martin wakes up. George'schasing the psychic to try and get an
answer, got back to Martin. He's strangling Jerry at this point, right
Newman's like saying, yeah he hadhe did it right in front of you.
Still I want my vacuum Cleaner's yellingat Mud and Elane's just sitting there
eating the cake. I just thoughtthat that little scene there was just so

(51:44):
funny, everything just unraveling. Itwas perfect a couple of hours ago.
So that wasn't George. I wouldlike to thank you for the greatest four
days I ever in my life. They were shooting the Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue

(52:05):
right in the hotel pool who notonly that the hotel they opened up this
area on the beach for nude bathingand all of the Sports Illustrated models went
down there. I am on thenext blanket from Al McPherson, played backgammon
nude. Oh she's a sweet kid, swift food models. You know what.

(52:30):
The second day I was there,I stepped on a jellyfish. Now
it kind of stung my foot. That's probably what Ruler was trying to warn
you about. Dare you gotta watchher? The jellifan. Yeah, Al
make Fiason. I think he saysthe Americans pronounce it mcphison for some reason.
It's sweet because if she says it'stake it from US American listeners.

(52:51):
You know we're we're Australians, justlike El McPherson. We pronounced it McPherson.
Yeah. It's like if we wentto America in cold Boston, Boston
or something, they said, that'sit's Boston. Okay, how about you
come to Australia and fucking say Melbournefor a change. That in Melbourne.
Fuck me, Hey, it's timefor time to put on your hard hats

(53:13):
because I'm going to drop a name. Not long ago, your old pow
guy hosted a Q and A withSam Jones aka Flash Gordon when he came
to Geelong to appear at the thePop Culture Collector Gallery. And Sam's a
very diligent fellow when it comes tohis Q and a's and his appearances.

(53:34):
He goes the extra mile. Andhe had done his research and he yep,
didn't pronounce it Geelong like so manyAmerican visitors do. He got it
down to Geelong Gelong, well done, and everyone in the room was like,
you got it right, right,He said, he really likes us,
He said it right, He's likeone of us. What I looked

(53:57):
about this moment the most, though, was Jerry's slapping joy every time.
Every time, Joe, you couldhave been playing backgammon nude with Almwig Ferson,
Yeah, and all they was theworst. It was gonna happen with
step On a jellyfish, That's allI mean. Backham a nude with Elwig
Ferston. Who wouldn't be doing thatnineteen ninety two, Well, she liked

(54:19):
one of the world's most famous modelsat that point. Yes, I remember
her. I remember her being likea huge name as the Kip. I
didn't really know who she was.I was obviously still too young. So
early nineties she was just massive, was she. Oh yeah, that was
the era of the supermodel. Yeah, yeah, before, but you didn't
really have supermodels before the early nineties. A thing. I mean it was
they really started to happen in thelate eighties early nineties. It was like,

(54:42):
these girls aren't just models, they'resupermodels, you know. I think
it was one of them was aLinda Evangelista who famously said she wouldn't get
out of bed for less than tenthousand dollars. Wow. Then they got
the invitation to the house swimming fromMartin and Gina. They've moved someplace down
in the village and they're now takingthe lane after dinner once again because you
got to star fast and because shehit the cake obviously, and Kramer says
he's going to be he can't gobecause he's catching up with all the models

(55:05):
from the from the island. Whatit included, unweak person, Oh,
I've got a call and it runsoff, And then we ended with the
really really bad stand up about failedsuicides, and it's like one more thing,
the less we say about it thebetter. Yeah, one more thing
you stink at. I'm like, yeah, I feel like even Jerry would
just want this just gone. Imean, obviously it's a product of its
time, but there's a difficult tobe a product of his time and just

(55:28):
being horrific. This is pretty horrificin my opinion. I thought it was
very tasteless, but not only two. Obviously he wasn't tasteless, I guess
not. I mean it was probablymore sort of edgy. I just don't
even feel like Chappelle would touch thiskind of content, you know, well,
it doesn't even feel like it sortof feels like Seinfeld material. But
it also feels a little out ofkeeping with his character. Yeah, whose

(55:49):
personality I mean, because it's notusually he usually talks about every day scenarios,
and you know, he's trying toput his spin on this, but
he never he never usually goes intolike the shock value comedy. No.
But here's the thing, I don'tthink this is even supposed to be shocking
though. Yeah, was it supposedto be only two? I don't know,
but now it would be now people, I don't think this would even

(56:12):
get a murmur from an audience intwenty twenty two, if you said if
you need to stand up now,I think people would just go, well,
oh mine. But but yeah,so that aside, I thought this
was a really really funny episode. But I think Wayne Knight just really adds
that extra element to sign Fa thatnot that were necessarily missing, but it
was something that I never realized Iwanted until I had it. I'm like,
oh, yeah, now we're nowit's starting to feel the more like

(56:35):
Signfel, got Newman, Kramer. It's just yeah, it's just it's sort
of all coming together now. Asthey say in Third Rock, he was
the third kind of heat. Youknow, we just added that extra something
to it. Yeah. I meanI think you always think of the core
quartet when you think of Signfel. You think of it, you know,
Jerry, Elaine, George and Kramer. But yeah, Newman makes it's the
fifth Beatle. Basically, it's agood way of putting it, very good

(56:58):
way of putting it fifth Beatle becausethe mail never stops. It just keeps
coming and coming and coming. There'snever a light up. It's relentless,
all right, mister Davis. Now, last week on the show, we
actually asked some people. We askedthe listeners, We said, we give
you the idea the flea Market. We thought the flea Market had a potential
to have a good Siinfeld based story. So he said, listeners out there,
send in your answers, talking sitheutat gmail dot com. Give us

(57:21):
your episode idea for each character forthe flea Market. We had a couple
send in, So Daniel Kotnick hasgiven us a pretty good rundown. Here.
I'll read it out to you rightnow, Daniel Kotnick has said.
In the fictitious The Flea Market episode, the group goes to the flea market
to help George's dad, Frank Selly'scollection of vintage Playboy magazines, which he
claims he only bought for the articles. Jerry, Elaine, and Kramer go
off on their own to look forpotential gifts for Jerry's dad's birthday. Meanwhile,

(57:45):
George accompanies his dad to a standto sell the magazines to a vendor,
which he handled surprisingly easily. Frankreveals that the Playboys were only an
excuse to bring George to the marketto help settle a long standing feud with
a different vendor at the market, which George obviously does not want to do.
Jerry and Elaine stop at a standselling antique pocket watches. Elaine picks
one up unwillingly, getting mechanical greaseon her hands before getting it on Jerry's

(58:07):
new shirt, and he's upset becausehe was both to be meeting at date
showed after this, so Kramer suggeststhey go to the flea market see if
they can fix the situation, andit leads a group into the market.
Frank he says, here speak, someone can speak to them. The flea
marker can speak to them. That'sapparently a big deal. So Frank drags
George to his rival vendor to confronthim, and during the confrontation, Frank
reveals the background of the feud whenyears ago Frank made a purchase from him

(58:30):
and the vendor gave him something extrabecause he was running a bye one and
get one free deal. Frank wasoffended by this, believing the man was
accusing him of being poor, anddemanded that he mak him pay for it,
which the vendor refused and now ledto Frank attempting to track him down
so that he can pay for it. Kraman brings George, I brings Jerry
and Elane to a vendor that sellshomemade cleaning solutions. Jerry tries it,

(58:51):
but the solution leaves a large bleachedstain. Elaine quickly tries to run to
a nearby vendor and attempts a miraclepaste and to color in the stain,
but turns out its ending solution thatsticks her hand to Jerry's shirt. Now
she attempts to pull it away,it rips a large portion of his shirt
away. Back to George and Frank, Frank is making the public scene in
front of the vendor, who defendshimself with equal vigor. Eventually, George

(59:12):
Crackston yells are both of them howstupid? The feud is. Both comes
to their senses, and the vendorallows Frank to pay for the item,
which turns out to be a cheapmakes seven up yours t shirt. Frank
realizes he didn't actually bring his wallet, and then when George offers to pay
for it, he says he doesn'thave enough cash, so the invender again
offers to give it to him forfree, reigniting the feud, and at
the end of George and Frank ascene waiting at the exit, Frank derided

(59:34):
George for failing him as a son. When Jerry, Elaine, and Kramer
walk up, they both briefly recaptheir escapades, with Kramer's proudly stating that
the flea market spoke to them andhelped Jerry through his problem. Jerry,
amused by all this, reveals thathe is now wearing the seven up T
shirt to he stayed, very loveit. Daniel put the owls in.
Yeah, its a whole episode,Daniel, And that's been this episod talking

(01:00:00):
side. Yeah, we need todo anything anymore. Wow, Daniel,
that's that's quite something. And Imean, if you want, if you
want to go into that most detail, you can. We don't expect you
to. We just give us abrief run out of each character storyline.
You could just give it the firstparagraph would have been fine. We're expecting
the thing you find in TV guideor in TV week, you know,
a little a little synopsis, nota whole treatment. But we appreciate hopefully

(01:00:22):
you know both Jerry and Larry whoyou know long time listeners of Talking Seinfeld
would go time to reboot Seinfeld. Thanks for this guy, Daniel Kotnick,
Yes, so thank you. Danielgot one more sent in here from our
man Pat Right. This one's muchshorter, much easier on the pat Pat
strikes me as a man of fewwords, but every word means something,

(01:00:42):
Daniel. Don't get me wrong. We liked every word that you gave us
just then. But yeah, Pat'skind of like this happens. Kramer sees
someone steal something from a vendor. It follows him for the rest of the
episode. Jerry meets a woman andshe ends up buying mind comp Elaine and
another woman end up trying to buythe same item at multiple stands, with
Elane getting the last laugh of thevintage JFK. Pitcher and George haggles over

(01:01:05):
a T shirt owned by Mickey Mantle, only to put it on in spill
food or over it. That's Patright. Equally good that we've got some
