Speaker 1 (00:00):
I hope I'm recording to this computer. We'll sit find
out in a second. Oh, what is going on, ladies
and gentlemen? I am free kid G five h J,
and I don't have the micup, so I'm hoping my
(00:21):
levels are pretty good. This is Tank commanders for the
month of January. Oh look, they didn't move. These are
all my Take Commander supporters. If you want to become
a Take Commander supporter, go ahead and look at the description.
There will be a link to my Patreon page and
just subscribe at the Tate commander level. However, if you're
(00:42):
not a tank commander, twice a year now we're gonna
do all hands. It was only once a year in December,
but now we're going to do a Christmas in July,
and the December meetings are going to be all hands
meetings with anyone, any level, any paid level supporter to
come on and just hang out with us, and we're
gonna kind of talk about radio and anything else going on.
(01:04):
So today I have Jeff and Paul with me so far.
How are y'all doing? I just saw both of y'all
this weekend getting smoked out there at Dangerfield State Park
for the field Day weekend.
Speaker 2 (01:16):
Yeah, that was the first time I met Jeff too.
Speaker 1 (01:19):
We're doing good.
Speaker 3 (01:20):
I'm doing good.
Speaker 1 (01:21):
Yeah, it man, we had a blast out there and
even the control birds that they were doing. You saw
on my video bit and also Mike's video bit that
the they let the fire burn right up to the
I'm using air quotes here lodge. Even though I thought
the lodge classified as a cabin to be, I can
(01:43):
when I was talking to friends and people at work,
I can start to understand their reasoning because cabins in
the Texas Park system is a one room dwelling that
has a bed and a table and maybe like a
mini fridge in it and to seek. But their lodge
was kind of like a house.
Speaker 2 (02:04):
Yeah yeah, but he had like that makes sense.
Speaker 1 (02:07):
Yeah, we had like thirteen beds. It was fun. I
submitted my logs two days ago during the clubhouse live stream,
pretty much five minutes right before Jason said I need
your logs on the live stream. Then I was like, dude,
check check discord. He goes, oh, you just said it
to me. I was like, I said it before you
reminded that's what counts.
Speaker 2 (02:28):
Yep. I saw you sender so I sent mine.
Speaker 1 (02:32):
Mm hmm, I'll get the ball rolling for me. I
got to see kind of sometimes someone doing a thing
to get me off my butt to do the thing,
or I will procrastinate it into the ground. Add in all, yep,
for sure.
Speaker 4 (02:46):
I still need to record the What was that when Colorado?
I think we got the bulletin? Yeah, I haven't typed
that out. I don't think we have that to submit.
Speaker 1 (02:55):
We recorded it to the radio, so oh.
Speaker 2 (02:58):
That's right.
Speaker 4 (02:59):
It's on the radio and my phone, so I just
need to pull it out type it. I guess what
does he do, copy and paste it on the submission
or something I get I've never done the bulletin.
Speaker 1 (03:07):
Yeah. I never did slow scan TV.
Speaker 2 (03:09):
Yeah that's cool man.
Speaker 1 (03:11):
And to be honest, I was like when we were
talking about in the meeting, I was like, yes, I
could do slow scan because I set it up before
then I started thinking about that was like two years ago.
I set up slow scan and I think I was
using my phone and at one point I was using
some software. So that Friday afternoon I was sitting down
to figure it out and we eventually got it to work.
(03:33):
That was that was fun. I want to dig into
the settings more and eventually make a video on it.
But I just wanted to do a little bit more
in the setting so I could go a little bit
more deeper other than this is how you set it
up and it works gay and I'll just so so
I can say, oh, if you want to roll images,
this is how you do it. This is how you
(03:53):
modify the template. Because I was just using the standard templets.
I was scared after it started working to mess with things.
Speaker 2 (04:00):
I was like, no, yeah, it's pretty cool when it
comes in clear.
Speaker 1 (04:05):
Mm hmmmm hmmm. I did receive a several images I
could it put on air on the video like, how
are you sending this with your call slide? Yeah, But
Paul and Jeff, this was your first field day experience
with I loosely call us the Texas ham So what
did y'all think of it? Let's let's start with you.
Speaker 2 (04:26):
Paul, uh the together or just.
Speaker 1 (04:30):
The it's the overall the field day weekend with this.
Speaker 2 (04:34):
Yeah, No, I had a I had a great time.
Speaker 4 (04:36):
I on most field days, winter and regular, I don't
really do much contests or you know, q so in
anyway in the past with the club, I've usually been
the person that puts together the digital station, and I'll
make some, but usually it's other people coming over wanting
to do digital and me just letting them get on
and do it. So most of my field days are
just kind of socializing to be honest, and then eating
(04:58):
or you know whatever.
Speaker 2 (04:59):
So, yeah, I only.
Speaker 4 (05:00):
Made the I only made the VHF UHF and two
twenty meters. That's that was my only contribution. But you know,
I'm okay with that. It's it's it's just about being
there and hanging out and stuff like that.
Speaker 2 (05:12):
I had a great time.
Speaker 1 (05:13):
And we did offer the radio several time.
Speaker 2 (05:15):
Oh yeah, multiple times.
Speaker 1 (05:17):
Yeah, it's not like the whole time.
Speaker 2 (05:19):
All radios were offered.
Speaker 4 (05:21):
So but I whether I do or don't, it's not
it's not a big deal to me. Now Now if
it's a group, they're like, okay, we want points this year,
and you're taking turns and then I got to take
my turn and then yeah, all sit down and do it.
Speaker 2 (05:31):
But yeah, it's not critical for me.
Speaker 1 (05:34):
And it was fun hanging out with you the whole weekend.
We had a blast and I it was relaxing to me.
Speaker 2 (05:41):
Oh I enjoyed it.
Speaker 1 (05:42):
Yeah, I needed a little relaxing weekend, especially because we
got Orlando coming up.
Speaker 4 (05:49):
Yeah, I've never been there, so I'm wondering if it's
going to be the opposite of relaxing.
Speaker 2 (05:53):
Probably, just with so much going on.
Speaker 1 (05:55):
It depends how much you decide to do.
Speaker 4 (05:57):
Man, I've already marked like four four things that I
want to make sure I get.
Speaker 1 (06:02):
So's let's circle back to that in the second year,
Jeff Man. So again, this was your first field day
experience with the Texas guys. What do you think of it?
Speaker 3 (06:16):
I had fun too. I'm in a similar boat as
Paul that, uh, just getting contacts. I can do it
if it's desired, but just it isn't. It's not something
that I'm that I really really need to do personally.
So I enjoy hanging out helping. We played with Paul's
(06:39):
meg loop and sort of try to figure that out
and just try to figure and just various things out.
And that was That's more fun of just working together
with people than just sitting down at a sitting down
at a radio making contexts for personally. But you had
(07:01):
fun out and I mean and Katie just enjoying each
other's company.
Speaker 1 (07:08):
So you enjoyed just kind of the social aspect too,
and getting in there and trying to troubleshoot and figure
out the problems that randomly pop up during these events.
I can understand that, to be honest, that was pretty
much typical of a PHIL Day event that goes we
had in the past. We operate pretty hard in the beginning,
(07:30):
and then we kind of get tired of it, and
then we kind of just relax and have a cigar.
And if we do have a digital stages and those
that are usually running kind of closer to evening, they
all kind of transition to FDA as we sit around
socialized Drake, have a cigar, go ahead, I thought I
heard something then. The only thing that was kind of
(07:52):
missing was some pu pus that Mike usually brings when
we go to the dear least mm hmm. But other
than that, that was pretty much the typical one. And
a smoker. But I'm okay not smoking because that takes
a lot of time.
Speaker 2 (08:07):
I think I think there was, well, I know there was.
Speaker 4 (08:10):
I know there's at least two pep's because one was
in my truck.
Speaker 2 (08:13):
I just left in the truck safe.
Speaker 1 (08:15):
Well, I meant we go off into the field and
oh and actually use.
Speaker 2 (08:20):
Okay, yeah that's different.
Speaker 1 (08:23):
Yeah, we have laid around.
Speaker 3 (08:25):
Yeah I noticed a couple carry devices, but yeah, it
is uh there. Yeah, there was an opportunity to to
uh do any any practicing.
Speaker 1 (08:38):
Yeah, you gotta be careful though in Texas if the
camp site, just like drinking, is on federal grounds, you
might not be able to drink and carry your protection
into the park. Now. I know recently national parks and
National Monuments have changed that and defaulted to the region
(09:00):
of the law where that park is located. But I
don't know about the state parksamp grounds. That's that's kind
of a mixture. I haven't looked into it. It would
be interesting to do that. But yeah, man, it was
a blast and I had fun. I can't wait to
do it again. And well I could wait until summer.
(09:21):
It was a lot. Yeah, and talking.
Speaker 4 (09:24):
About go ahead, you guys did most of it, you know,
between the three of you guys. Want Digital Ranch about
his stuff too, but setting it up, you know, and
bringing all the gear and everything, so that was you know,
you guys were doing all the heavy lifting.
Speaker 1 (09:36):
It's mostly the gear and the gear ready, getting it
packed and getting it make sure all the batteries are charged.
I really need to finish my box for for I
have a Helder amp Hower battery that I've been meaning
to build a box around so I can operate on
something like that all weekend and not worry about power.
Oh yeah, nice, It's one of the things I want
(09:58):
to finish eventually. Then, because literally I did laundry coming
home and I'm almost repacked the entire suitcase with the
clothes I took.
Speaker 2 (10:07):
That's hilarious.
Speaker 1 (10:09):
And I've done some of these. Go out and do
like some little travel the weekend before. Sometimes it might
be personal, but before I leave for that trip, I
packed the clothes for that trip. Then I come out,
and then I packed the clothes for the next trip,
and I have it on the bed. So I get home,
open up the suitcase, throw everything in the wash, pick
(10:29):
up the clothes for the next trip, put it in
the suitcase, zip it up, and I will take off,
you know, a couple of days or a week, and
I just don't have to think about it. The worst
one was a trip from Orlando where I turned around
less than twenty four hours and went to Maryland for
a while. Yeah, so I came home, saw the Super Bowl,
(10:52):
then I got on a plane. There's a bigger story there.
There's a bigger story there, but just the sort of
it is. A ticket didn't get booked, right, I didn't
have a ticket. I had to buy a last minute
and it was stressful, but I still got out there.
Speaker 3 (11:09):
Just curious, who do who does your company use for
business travel?
Speaker 1 (11:13):
One of those stupid corporate booking sites? Okay, you know
the name of it. I do, but I'm not gonna
blast him. Okay, I'll tell you after the stream.
Speaker 3 (11:23):
Okay, but I used to work I used to work
for one, so that's why I'm sort of curious.
Speaker 1 (11:28):
Okay, Yeah, that that was a whole But talking about
travel again, Orlando's coming up. I'm looking forward to it.
I got clothes set aside already for the trip, and
I need to talk to Jason because I'm thinking about
throwing some a bag into his truck so he could
take it down for me, because we're going to have
(11:51):
beds in the trailer and I don't know if it's
going to come with, you know, linen, so I might
as well give him the stuff I don't want to
put on the plane that I have to check a bag,
And to be honest, I like checking the bag. I
like checking bags. Why doesn't America give you the first
bag check free?
Speaker 2 (12:10):
I don't know. I think they used to.
Speaker 1 (12:11):
I thought they do. Yeah, they used to, but then
you know they offer it to you at the gate,
So what's the point. Yeah, so why don't you just
offer that at the kiosks and say, if your bag
falls in these dimensions, we'll check it for free because
technically it will be your carry on and we don't
have to worry about it.
Speaker 4 (12:29):
Yeah, you'd think, but sometimes common sense doesn't rule the policies.
Speaker 1 (12:33):
No, but I do like checking because I don't have
to worry about having two bags and ooh, I give
a unique perspective on this. Hey, Paul, how's it going?
Speaker 2 (12:45):
It's going?
Speaker 1 (12:46):
What's going? It's going? So I am guilty of this
sometimes putting two bags in the overhead, and some flight
attendants have called me out and others have it. Yea,
how much is that kind of looked down before I
go into more details or are you just kind of
like rolling your eyes. I'm like, I can't believe he's
one of those guys.
Speaker 4 (13:08):
It's the only time anybody really cares or should care
is if the bins are full and we're still boarding,
and then they might say, like, you know, just put
your big one up there for now. Once everyone's in,
then we can stuff the small ones in or use
the you know, the space under the seat in front
of you kind of. Now, yeah, I don't think most
people care.
Speaker 1 (13:24):
My comeback to it is if they do bother me
is well, the big roller bag is has all my
clothes in it, and then the other bag is the
electronics and the electronics bag has the sea pat machine
and medication and everything that can't be put under So
since it is listed as medication, it doesn't count as
(13:45):
check bags and also doesn't count for the overhead bins.
And when I tell them that a lot of times
they'll walk away kind of grumbling and rolling their eyes
like pretty much, do whatever you want, sir. We're not
going to protect you for the social backlash that might
come later.
Speaker 2 (14:01):
I think it's fine.
Speaker 4 (14:03):
It's like anything you're gonna come across, you know, attendants
that are jerks and some that are nice, So just
to hit or miss thing, I guess.
Speaker 1 (14:11):
But yeah, that that's my excuse. I'm like, yeah, there's
a seat, pap in the other one, and I can't
put that underneath the seat. I did it once. I
literally didn't want further suggestions, and I broke the dang mask.
So I had a broken mask for the rest of
the trip. I had a duct tape it together.
Speaker 2 (14:26):
There you go. You got an excuse then, then I.
Speaker 1 (14:30):
Just wanted you have a unique perspective because you're on
the other side of this.
Speaker 2 (14:34):
Yeah, yeah, we definitely.
Speaker 4 (14:36):
We get asked stuff a lot, you know, and then
there's a lot of websites that are like, oh.
Speaker 2 (14:41):
The top, you know, ten things not to do or whatever.
I don't know.
Speaker 4 (14:45):
Yeah, it's yeah, it's it's been interesting. It's been interesting
working this job.
Speaker 1 (14:52):
We're gonna dig into more on the the the fear
coming up in a second. But what do you think
of the people? Are you a recliner guy or recliners
not supposed to be like leaning your seatbacks, recline or
not recline right to recline or of course you do,
of course you do.
Speaker 2 (15:13):
Yeah, that's what it's made for that, so why not.
Speaker 4 (15:16):
And when people behind someone reclining complain, I tell them
you recline yours And then it's exactly the same distance.
Speaker 1 (15:21):
Yeah what I mean, yep, oh, I totally agree. Personally,
my backs gets starting to get irritated thirty minutes of
sitting like that. So like, as soon as we take
off and we are in the air comfortably, I hit
that button. I hit that button for that seat to
come down.
Speaker 4 (15:38):
And I'm like, ah, yeah, that's what it's made for.
And if someone can't get that concept that two seats
upright front to back the same distance as two seats
front to back leaning back, then they need to go
back to school or something.
Speaker 1 (15:51):
I don't know. Yeah, I saw a video the other
day talking about airline hacks to prevent the seat for
coming down. You put the water bottle here, Come on now.
Speaker 2 (16:06):
No, that's not good.
Speaker 1 (16:07):
Or what was the other one. There's you can take
your like plastic water bottle with your tray down and
you can wedge it between the seat too. And I'm like, y'all,
it's not that serious, like lean back to the.
Speaker 4 (16:20):
Only time I really ask like if it's kind of
a larger person, not even larger even my size or whatever.
When people are eating, it's if you're on like international
or someplate something with a tray like food, we do
ask people like in front of them, to like just
bring your seat back up just during the meal, because
it's so hard to you know, lean over your train
and eat when there's a you know, a seat back
in your face.
Speaker 2 (16:39):
So that's kind of the only time.
Speaker 4 (16:40):
I think that's the only time I would ask, is like,
if you could just you know, just bring your seat
up during the meal service.
Speaker 2 (16:45):
Then afterwards, feel free to recline. Most people have no
problem with that.
Speaker 1 (16:48):
They get it every now and then if there's enough time,
I do ask the person in front of me if
they're going to recline, and if they are, just give
me a heads up because I got the laptop out
pretty much soon as we fly. Oh yeah, I'm just like,
just give me a heads up. You're completely fine. I'm
declining my almost immediately. I just careful of my screen.
(17:08):
That's all what I want is careful of this. But
you said you got a whole laundry list. I'm not
even taking notes. Shame on me. Usually to take notes
for the topics list for the audio release here, but
usually I was going to be asking you what is
your what are you going to be doing in Orlando?
What what things you have slated.
Speaker 2 (17:29):
Oh, the classes is Jeff.
Speaker 1 (17:31):
Jeff will be there too, right, Nope, I'm not going
to be good one. Oh I thought you said you were.
Speaker 4 (17:36):
Nope, Well, this would be my first one, so I
don't know who normally goes anyway. But so I had
to pull up the schedule that little app that they
have what is it ar l something anyway, and I
had to look at it to remind myself. But on Friday,
I have d Star made Simple since I'm new to that,
and then the nv I S class because I that's
(17:56):
one of the things I love to do. Saturday day
is off Greade Communication with Laura and meshtastics and so
I'm fairly new at that, and then an a double
rl E comm update and I think that was it it. Oh,
and there's a there's a.
Speaker 2 (18:10):
Train Spotter training on Sunday, but I think I'll be
gone by then. I think I'm leaving in the morning.
Speaker 4 (18:14):
Train Spotter training try or sorry sky Warren Spotter not
train Spotter.
Speaker 2 (18:19):
Good movie by the way, shout out yeah yeah, but I.
Speaker 1 (18:22):
Was like, hey, I'll be into that class.
Speaker 2 (18:24):
Yeah, sky Warren Spotter training.
Speaker 1 (18:27):
Just out of curiosity, what time are you leaving? Because
I see you're flying.
Speaker 4 (18:33):
Back on American, right, Yeah. I haven't even looked at
the times. I think getting there Thursday is like eleven.
Whether I go Thursday or Friday, it's the same. It's
the first flight in. I think it gets in around
eleven or something. But I haven't even looked at flights back.
I'm just assuming there's gonna be one in the room,
you know, or a couple of them.
Speaker 2 (18:50):
In the morning.
Speaker 1 (18:50):
Okay, okay, for your information, we are leaving Orlando at
one thirty seven on A Oh okay, all right, so
that is robertson I's flight. Okay, yeah, just through that
in the private chat the number.
Speaker 2 (19:09):
Cool.
Speaker 4 (19:09):
Yeah, I'll be standby, so I might try earlier when
just to make sure I get there.
Speaker 2 (19:14):
But we'll see. M hmm.
Speaker 1 (19:16):
I was just curious if we're going to fly back
with us. A number of times I flew back and
Roberts too with Ray from Icon. Yeah, we'll get to
the airport and we're like, Ray, what do you do here?
Speaker 2 (19:30):
Yeah? Message?
Speaker 4 (19:31):
Uh my message Ray, and over Christmas he wished to
wish me merry Christmas messages. I'm back and asked him
and he said he'll be there so looking forward to
seeing Ray. I haven't seen since his flight there on
the Japan flight for the celebration the sixtieth anniversary in Icon.
Speaker 1 (19:46):
So is this one of your first big ham fists.
Speaker 4 (19:51):
Yeah, the only other one I've been to is like
the ones here in Dallas. Okay, that one that was bigger,
that's no longer here. But the DFW one is starting
to build up.
Speaker 1 (19:59):
Icon Irving it was, it wasn't Irving.
Speaker 2 (20:03):
I forgot what it was.
Speaker 1 (20:05):
Hankon hand con Yeah, something con.
Speaker 2 (20:08):
Yeah, they had it over off of seventy seventy five,
I think.
Speaker 1 (20:11):
Mm hmm, what's a big one.
Speaker 2 (20:13):
It was big.
Speaker 1 (20:15):
It was bigger than Huntsville.
Speaker 2 (20:17):
Wow.
Speaker 1 (20:17):
Yeah, it was bigger than Huntsville and uh so it's
but it was smaller than where you're going to go Orlando,
and of course it was smaller than Dayton. Yeah it was.
It was a pretty big size, huge swat Beet area.
But oh, it was so nice to go to one
of these things where I could drive home.
Speaker 4 (20:37):
Yeah, it was. It just makes no sense that we
didn't know that we lost it. But the DFW one is,
you know, they're building and getting bigger, so h hopefully
that'll be uh a good replacement. As we go forward
and it gets it just gets bigger and bigger, I
think each year.
Speaker 1 (20:51):
Mm hmm. Yeah. So Orlando's fun so Icon usually has
a two hacking boost that they custom made that fold
out and they usually like an end cap and they
have all their radios and displaze right there clipple to
set up. I was like, oh, you know you're gonna
look at this and be like, I want to see
the backside because that's awesome.
Speaker 2 (21:13):
Yeah, seventy sixty has a lot of stuff on the
back side of that control head.
Speaker 1 (21:20):
Then what who who gets what? Usually Yazoo usually has
like a two or three boost space along one of
the sides and the main building a double r L
takes a whole little aisle, and then there's usually a
boy Scouts thing I think at this hamfest that goes
(21:41):
along with it. Then Fusion Radios will have a boof
for two there And uh, why am I saying so
much recently? It's starting to bother me. Gigaparts. Gigaparts has
a whole long side and they used to have their
giga truck parked inside the building their Bronco, but they
(22:06):
don't have the bronco anymore. They got something else. There
was hints dropped to me what it is Now I'm
thinking about it. I am I need magnets. They're up there, hopefully.
I'm need to put some more magnets in my fan
pack and throw them on the new vehicle. Whatever it is. Yeah,
get into and steal it under Robbie's nose.
Speaker 2 (22:27):
There you go.
Speaker 1 (22:29):
But then there's also a huge swapmeet area, which is
always fun to walk around in. And of course we're
going to have our crash pad with all all our
friends and excuse me, and we're going to be hanging
out smoking cigars. Usually were there in the afternoon around
lunchtime and take a load off for an hour or
two and then go back at it until dinner dinner time,
(22:52):
we're closed. It's gonna be interesting. I never stayed in
the field and camped before Orlando. We always had a
hotel or Yeah, it's always always hotel. That's gonna be fun.
Speaker 4 (23:05):
Camper is probably the way to go. I think if
you have one, I think that's good.
Speaker 1 (23:08):
Well, we camped at Dayton before and it's nice. So
they could get up and go into the vendors area
of no one around and walk around a little bit. Uh.
They kind of do frown upon that if you're just
have a normal ticket, but it is kind of allowed,
so it's nice. But I do like to do the
(23:29):
line walk. I always do a line walk, yeah, day
one and see everyone in the line and I love it.
I love it when I hear my name.
Speaker 2 (23:38):
To clean up.
Speaker 1 (23:40):
That's funny because I'm walking. Then Thursday night, you're gonna
be there Thursday more afternoon.
Speaker 4 (23:47):
Most likely Thursday, Yes, so I'll try to make the
last half of the PODA thing sweet.
Speaker 1 (23:53):
We'll be there. I don't know what we're doing Thursday morning.
We might hang out at the ham fast and watch
build out starting. Then we'll pick up our ticket and
be there and hang out there for the rest of
the time. I got it. I'm thinking of a video.
I'm going to drop a video Friday as it opens.
I'm dropping a video tomorrow with the interview I did
(24:15):
with the Orlando guys at Huntsville talking about the ham
Pest coming up. And I'm going to record a video
of all the pre Hamfested shenanigans, which is always fun.
And then we got the main video of the ham
Pest which I'll probably try to drop this coming Monday.
I a lot of on the road to editing.
Speaker 4 (24:33):
Yeah, I'm hoping I even think about recording, because sometimes
I get well, just like at Winterfield Day, I wasn't
really thinking of recording anything. I just I guess my
mindset is more of live streaming type stuff rather than
recording a bunch of video and then editing it, even
though I've done that a few times. But I'm thinking
I got to remember to, you know, at least try
to record stuff. Make at least one compilation video of
(24:54):
my trip there.
Speaker 1 (24:55):
Mm hmm, be like all right, first flight, yeah, second flight,
still waiting for it. You get me on the third flight.
Speaker 4 (25:03):
This is how you get give Yeah, waiting stand by.
I'm still stand by. It's seven hours at the airport.
Speaker 2 (25:08):
Now.
Speaker 1 (25:09):
I have family that grew up in American airline households,
and they're very familiar of going to the airport and
waiting for stand by. And this was back in the
nineties where you had to dress up nice to be
a stand by because if you didn't look nice, the
gay agent will deny you.
Speaker 2 (25:27):
Yep, I remember those days.
Speaker 1 (25:30):
And now just show up in flip flops. Standing.
Speaker 2 (25:33):
Yeah, yeah, pretty much.
Speaker 1 (25:35):
Got got nothing going on, I got stand by.
Speaker 2 (25:37):
But yeah, it's a nice perk.
Speaker 4 (25:39):
It's just it's not easy to travel stand by by myself.
Speaker 2 (25:43):
It's not too bad, but it's.
Speaker 4 (25:46):
You're just there's not that many flights that have you know,
if you want a family of four, say, there's not
many flights that has four seats competing with you know,
thousands of other employees.
Speaker 1 (25:55):
And then they'll also opt to give those seats to
you know, standing by actual passengers.
Speaker 2 (26:01):
Yeah, and there's usually stand by passengers that are on
later flights that stand by for earlier flights and all that.
Speaker 4 (26:07):
So I don't really see it as a benefit anymore.
I haven't even really taken a vacation in like twenty years.
Speaker 1 (26:12):
Paul.
Speaker 2 (26:13):
Yeah, I'm telling you.
Speaker 1 (26:14):
Use that vacation time. They pay you out if you
don't use it, because I could see that as a good.
Speaker 4 (26:20):
Last three years i've bought I've bought out, had them
buy out my vacation. I didn't take it, so I
might as well just take a check.
Speaker 1 (26:26):
Yeah that's good.
Speaker 2 (26:28):
But yeah, this year, I'm this year I'm gonna actually
bid for some vacation.
Speaker 1 (26:31):
So you got that perk, though, you could probably go
to anywhere jump on a plane today New Jersey.
Speaker 4 (26:38):
Yeah, I mean it would be a great thing if
you're someone that's like could just get on a plane,
go anywhere it didn't have family and just do podas
all over the world.
Speaker 1 (26:44):
M hm, oh my god. That would be a dream,
my dream vacation. I talked to my brother about this.
I don't think it's possible anymore. I want to be
handed a ticket, don't know where I'm going, don't know anything,
and just get on the plane and then I land,
I figure out where I'm at.
Speaker 2 (27:02):
Well, you'd have to put like you'd have to have
air plugs on. You wouldn't be there.
Speaker 3 (27:05):
I know.
Speaker 1 (27:05):
There's so much ignorance. Yeah, there is actually a company
that kind of specializes in something like that. I saw
someone's travel blog talking about it. But you sign up
for the web page and or their website service, and
they will tailor a vacation for you, and you just
give them the dates and then you fill out this
profile where I'll let it go and da da da
(27:26):
da da da, and they'll tailor a vacation and you
pay it and then they'll send you all the details
like the day of I'm like, oh, I want to
do that.
Speaker 2 (27:36):
That would be cool.
Speaker 1 (27:37):
Oh, that'd be so much fun. But yeah, if I
had that perk, i'd just be at the airport. Well,
I got three days off, just stand by all of them,
and I'll be on the first one that takes me.
Speaker 2 (27:48):
There's actually, yeah, there's actually people that do that today.
Speaker 1 (27:51):
I'm over here at blah blah blah.
Speaker 4 (27:53):
Yeah, they go to the airport, have a passport, and
they just look around at open flights and they're like, well,
this is where I'm going.
Speaker 1 (28:01):
A passport. I'm all up to date on.
Speaker 2 (28:03):
That really for most places.
Speaker 1 (28:06):
I'm kind of considering trying to go to Japan this year.
Speaker 4 (28:10):
This year you can go during the ham pare. It's
just in the middle of August and it's hot and sticky.
Speaker 1 (28:16):
How is Japan hot and sticky compared to Texas?
Speaker 4 (28:19):
All the Japan I've been in is like Houston. The
climate is similar to kind of Dallas area Houston area. Right,
It's cold, occasionally, you might get snow once in a while,
hot and humid in the summer. But I think they're
a bit more humid than the DFW area. I think
they're more humid like Houston. I didn't like Houston. It
was so so humid.
Speaker 1 (28:40):
I don't like Houston either.
Speaker 2 (28:42):
It's yeah, yeah, yeah.
Speaker 1 (28:45):
I got a friend out there and I was thinking
about going to hang out with them. I was like, well,
I fly out kind of early. I could go to
the ham Fist and then go see him. And I'm like,
just right off half the ticket, there you go. But
I don't know Japanese. So do you have to know
Japanese when you go to that Hamfest, because I know
(29:06):
this handfest is targeting the Japane the japan audience.
Speaker 2 (29:11):
M h, Now, I don't.
Speaker 4 (29:13):
I mean they're they're open to all Hams. I mean
there were people from Australia and Philippines and you know,
from all over the world. So they cater to everyone.
And most people speak a little English. They start English
when they're like first grade, basically nice and most Japanese
enjoy the opportunity.
Speaker 2 (29:30):
To try to speak English.
Speaker 4 (29:32):
So English really isn't a problem. You know, conversation might
be slow, but you can have conversations with people with
most people there. I've been in touch with the guy
that if you remember that cantenna he messaged me a
week or so ago, he created a new a new one,
and I'm trying to figure out if he wants to
come live stream or figure out a way to do
a video or something with him to show him his
(29:52):
show off his new new cantenna.
Speaker 2 (29:54):
This crazy stuff.
Speaker 1 (29:55):
But well, if you're over there for a little bit
and he's close to your airport, you can just you know,
true out there and be like, can I have a
twenty four hour stay? Does that work like that? How
does it? How does it work?
Speaker 2 (30:08):
Well?
Speaker 4 (30:08):
As a crew you get twenty four Well it's I
think it's up to three days, just in case there's cancelations.
But normally we're just there for twenty four hours. And
then after after so many days, like when I was
there after a hurricane and we were stuck there for
basically six days. Well now I want to say it's
a week, because I don't think we went No, we did.
We had to go get new shore passes for as
(30:28):
crew members after the third day. Interesting, so so an
airline person went and got them for us all brought
them to the hotel and passed them out.
Speaker 2 (30:35):
Because we just get these what's called a shore pass.
It's just a temporary stay.
Speaker 1 (30:39):
So that's just like a temporary visa.
Speaker 2 (30:42):
Kind of Yeah, it's just a lot a lot shorter.
Speaker 1 (30:44):
Yeah, okay, I assume you just go to the airport.
There's a airline desk that just.
Speaker 4 (30:50):
Yeah, they they have a line for us in a
specific area. We go kind of past all the lines
and yeah, it's all it's all set up, perfectly beautiful.
Speaker 1 (31:00):
Kind of jealous, man, get to go see the world.
Speaker 4 (31:02):
Yeah, it's it is good for that, that's for sure.
But as I get older and family and everything, I'd
rather just be home and sleep in home.
Speaker 2 (31:08):
But every night.
Speaker 1 (31:09):
True, could you switch to domestic?
Speaker 2 (31:13):
Here's the funny thing. I can't.
Speaker 4 (31:14):
I'm not even senior enough to hold the good domestic
trips at thirty three years.
Speaker 2 (31:18):
So what Yeah, it's it's kind of sad.
Speaker 1 (31:22):
There's more people senior to you after thirty three years.
Speaker 4 (31:25):
At thirty three years, I have like seven thousand people
or so above me.
Speaker 1 (31:30):
Uh huh.
Speaker 4 (31:31):
So there's over seven thousand people senior to me, even
though I'm at thirty three, thirty thirty four years.
Speaker 1 (31:37):
Wow, that's amazing for a company who have that many
people after that many years. Because it's everyone's jumping these days.
Everyone's jumping.
Speaker 4 (31:47):
Well, it's it's a job that you can work as
little as you want or as much as you want,
so people don't retire, you know, the work six days
a month to keep the benefits and kind of semi retire.
Speaker 1 (31:58):
So the domestic flights are more sought after than the overseas.
I thought the overseas will be the ones that pay
better that Taylor or a unique brand of person will
bid for those.
Speaker 4 (32:09):
Yeah, the overseas ones tend to be the most sought after,
the most senior. But a lot of the senior people
are tired of the jet lag, tired of all that,
and so now they're bidding like trans cons or turns
that they can do three times a week, be home
in their bed every night, and get the same hours
each week as an international without.
Speaker 2 (32:27):
The jet lag.
Speaker 1 (32:28):
Start looking into that.
Speaker 2 (32:29):
Yeah, I like, I don't know. I got by the
time because I don't want to stay here. I want
to retire, you know, at some point. But we'll see,
we'll see what happens.
Speaker 1 (32:39):
Awesome, awesome kind of Back at the hamp best talk,
Is there anything you want to pick up? I know
for sure.
Speaker 4 (32:47):
The one thing I'm getting is the Explorer bag parts.
Speaker 1 (32:51):
Tell them a tank at checkout five percent off?
Speaker 2 (32:53):
Right, you think they'll do that at the checkout there?
Speaker 1 (32:55):
Sure? Why not?
Speaker 2 (32:56):
I can always try.
Speaker 1 (32:58):
I know the answer is going to be no, But
do it anyways and make Robert laugh.
Speaker 2 (33:03):
That would be funny.
Speaker 5 (33:03):
Yeah, yeah, so I'll probably go. I'll probably go there
lightly packed and then come back with that bag as
my other bag flying home with probably check it.
Speaker 2 (33:17):
I might check it.
Speaker 1 (33:18):
So. The only thing I find bad about the Explorer
bag is it concurves down at the top of it,
so you can't fully pack it as you think you
can pack a normal bag.
Speaker 2 (33:33):
Gotcha.
Speaker 1 (33:34):
That being said, radios love it, love it, love it,
love it. I'm just not going to use it.
Speaker 2 (33:40):
As travel bag.
Speaker 4 (33:42):
Yeah, I've got when you had your your forty stream
live stream, I think I picked up three of the
little bags that go in it, little modular I got
like the eight ninety one, I've got the laptop one
and something else I forget. So because I already thought
I had that, I thought I already had the Explorer bag,
(34:03):
I didn't. I had a different bag. So anyway, Yeah,
that's that's the one thing I know I'll get. I
don't know how much you'll get because I got a
fly at home, so we'll see.
Speaker 1 (34:12):
Yeah, well he could take two bags or use your
crew crew privileges and sneak another one on there.
Speaker 2 (34:18):
Yeah, you can do that.
Speaker 1 (34:21):
I am going to be looking for signal stick. I
hear signal stick is going to be there this year,
and I need two new signal sticks. I'm going to
replace the one I had. The the little plastic tip
has broken off, and I'm just scared that I'm going
to scratch the uh the roof of my car or
you know, the ceiling of the car and scratch them
(34:42):
rip that fabric. You can't have sapphire looking shabby. Then
I'm I got the new Explorer one radio and I
want a signal stick for it.
Speaker 2 (34:53):
I think that's the one, Jeff, didn't you have that
winterfield day on.
Speaker 3 (34:56):
Your HT I have one buried in my car, smert.
I cannot find it. I borrowed the one that Jason
has in his uh dhf uhfuh go bag.
Speaker 4 (35:09):
Okay, Yeah, yeah, I probably would pick up some of
those two because I've always wanted to have never gotten them.
Speaker 2 (35:15):
Everyone seems to like him.
Speaker 3 (35:16):
Yeah, I like mine a lot. It's I had one
before too, But yeah, I got a mobile antenna on
top of my car, so I took it off and
now it's buried somewhere.
Speaker 1 (35:28):
Yeah. I really love that antenna. It's flexible and when
you need it to be all the way out, you
can just I like to tie it up in a knot,
so when I carry it on my bag and it's
not wrapped through the loops, I have it like in
a little knot and it's still receives perfectly. Like that,
it transmits, okay, comfortable to like a rubber duck that way.
(35:51):
But then you just know, flip it out and he
goes bun and it's straight up and it works perfectly.
I have a who does it is? Robert, one of
our friends has a signal stick on top of his
car with a magmelt.
Speaker 4 (36:04):
Oh wow, and it I remember watching Mike tune Is
twenty meters on one at that go box challenge.
Speaker 3 (36:14):
I think that was Robert, and he was getting satellite signals.
He was decoding satellite signals as he drove down the road.
Speaker 1 (36:21):
Nice. Then he said, on the way back, he tuned
into the ISS coming over and he was hearing it
lucky guy. I'm not that lucky with satellites.
Speaker 4 (36:31):
Yeah, it was fun to watch him do that on
the space station. Make those QoS.
Speaker 1 (36:35):
Well, he made the qusos when I was with them.
Speaker 2 (36:38):
Actually, that's right. The first time I watched he couldn't
get through.
Speaker 4 (36:41):
Yeah, I was hearing a lot about people make qusos,
and then I wasn't there for the time he made them.
Speaker 1 (36:46):
We all I was how do I put it? Because
I don't want to go into it. I was unwinding
from an event that when he left, so I didn't
want to get up and do any more recording. I
think everyone else was just kind of relaxing when he
went out, and then he came back and I remember
he's throwing up the door. I haven't did it.
Speaker 4 (37:08):
Yeah, that's not on records.
Speaker 1 (37:12):
I got five contacts, I know, right. Oh, I laughed
so hard. I was like, I need it though. I
needed to laugh after what happened to me that Saturday.
But I can't wait to get out there. I can't
wait to hang out. I need to. I hope I
(37:32):
have enough stickers. I try to order stickers a week ago.
Something happened with the order, and I don't think it's
going to get here on time. Oh yeah, oh look
a magnet.
Speaker 2 (37:43):
Nice.
Speaker 1 (37:44):
So I'm hoping to have stickers with me. I should
have some sapphire stickers with me, and I can't. I
love passing out stickers. Oh oh, that reminds me. I
kind of asked, and might take commanders encrypted? Or was
it the other chat? What should my question for the
ham fest be? It was in the other regular tank
(38:06):
radio chat. I think I am liking what was your
what was the mistake you learned the most on in
amateur radio?
Speaker 2 (38:16):
Is it in just tank radio regular chat?
Speaker 1 (38:18):
You said, yeah, it's in the regular tank radio chat.
Speaker 2 (38:21):
Okay.
Speaker 1 (38:22):
I asked it a couple of days ago. I think
that's going to be the hand fast question. I like that.
Speaker 2 (38:29):
There you go, Yeah, that's good.
Speaker 1 (38:30):
M h Ken initially asked what's your most expensive mistake
in ham radio? And I just tweaked. It was like,
what was the mistake you learned the most on? And
if they do answer shortly, I will probably followed up,
well fast, okay, now tell us what the most expensive mistake?
What did you let that smoke out of?
Speaker 4 (38:54):
That was the last little conversation here. So tank Radio
regular channel basically the bottom right now.
Speaker 1 (39:01):
And the reason, the reason why my channels are the
ham two point zero. I didn't want to create another
Discord channel. You know how many Discord Ham radio channels
there are?
Speaker 2 (39:12):
Yeah, because I'm looking at them on the side of
my screen here, and it's just.
Speaker 1 (39:16):
It's just a lot of them. I got Red Summit,
I'm seventeen, Ham Radio Adventures, the xdy Commander, DX Commander, Sorry, Dyslexic,
don Server, an egg Server, hand Radio Crusaders, a grid Tracker, Hammers,
(39:39):
And then if we go scroll up some more, then
we get our club Chat, the North Texas Radio Sport Chat,
the Hearst Chat, Ham Radio Adventures, Hand Radio Sport raghew Toads,
Clubhouse hamm and Quackers, hrc C ham rate A two
(40:00):
point Oh.
Speaker 2 (40:01):
Yeah, it's it's yeah, it's a lot. I can't keep
up with it all texts.
Speaker 1 (40:08):
Any anytime I'm in a new chat, I go in
there and I mute all notifications except at me's and
if it's one, I'm interested, and I will come back
to it a couple of times. But it's there's so many,
so many, and people keep this sendium to me like, hey,
join mine, join mine, Join mine.
Speaker 2 (40:31):
I just did mind just to have it.
Speaker 4 (40:32):
I don't you know, I didn't mean for it to
be any kind of major hangout, just just basic stuff
because I'm kind of looking mostly at you know, two
point oh and toads and you know, and stuff like that.
Speaker 2 (40:44):
So because it's it takes work.
Speaker 4 (40:47):
It's not something that you know, you can you can
set some things up automated, but I.
Speaker 1 (40:52):
Do wish I had some of the more the automated tools.
And I have to add every commander or tanker porter
by hand to the chat. Also, I should also go
back and get rid of them if they stop contributing.
But I'm like, yeah, too much.
Speaker 2 (41:10):
Yeah, it might be a record.
Speaker 1 (41:11):
Word someday I scrape a lot of people out be
like sorry, yeah, you're no longer a supporter, so I
should take this away.
Speaker 2 (41:19):
Yeah, my list is too long. I gotta change this,
make it easier.
Speaker 1 (41:23):
Mm hmmmm hm.
Speaker 2 (41:25):
No, it's good. That's that's great.
Speaker 4 (41:26):
I like that part of the communities because we can
all get in there and have different topics. You know,
if you look you know, of course, look through this
his server or your guys' server. There you got the
events and then you've got different tam radio topics and
so it's you know, you can focus on the area
you like and and be part of that chat you
know that you really like.
Speaker 2 (41:43):
So I've always liked Discord.
Speaker 1 (41:45):
Yeah. The channel I'm most proud of is the help
Desk because I'm the one who created that initially. Oh yeah, yeah,
because guys kept asking us for help. I'm like, look,
me and Jason are knowledgeable, but I'm going to guarantee
you there's people way smarter than us. Yeah, so go
(42:06):
ask your question over there and they'll figure it out.
Speaker 2 (42:09):
Yeah, I'm will answer it.
Speaker 1 (42:10):
Mm hmmm.
Speaker 4 (42:11):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (42:12):
But yeah, this is I really like Discord. And we
have them all broken up, then we have our groups
get together. Oh I need to get into the Orlando
one more. The problem is with the Orlando chat. Is
the Orlando chat is Han Rato two point zero. Then
there's an Orlando chat in the hrc C and which
one am we talking on? Are we talking on over here?
(42:34):
Are we talking on over there? Or are we double
posting triple posting? Then there is the the the Content
Creators chat going on, and ay, yeah, there's there's just
so many, yeah, so many.
Speaker 2 (42:46):
It's just you can't I can't keep up with it.
Speaker 1 (42:49):
This is a hint of our lives.
Speaker 2 (42:51):
Maybe when I'm retired someday I'll have time.
Speaker 1 (42:55):
Oh, it's fun, it's fun. I got nothing else here?
Did did? Did y'all have a topic? Or we can
wrap it up a little bit early. I'll give you
six minutes back to your life. As they say in
all the meetings at work.
Speaker 2 (43:08):
I don't know a six minute topic. What do you think, Jeff?
Speaker 1 (43:11):
Did you all have any questions?
Speaker 3 (43:12):
I don't know. Yeah, we're just on the sort of
the conversation we had at the end of at the
end of winterfield Day was just the thoughts of doing
another get together, either what we're doing for what the
Texas Sam's are doing for summerfield Day, or or maybe
(43:33):
the Support your Parks weekend.
Speaker 1 (43:36):
We were talking about Support your Parks and Jason and
I went through the calendars and the one in the
second quarter kind of aligns with field Day or something
else that we can't do that, so unfortunately it's going
to be pushed to the third quarter. Then then we'll
probably do some type to get together. We were talking
(43:59):
about National Grasslands. It's close to us, and if we
were talking about trying to camp and do a PODA
and actual camp camp. I'm looking up now, I think
the grasslands are a spot zoom in. There's Texas, there's
Fort Worth. Yep, there they are. No, wait, they're north
(44:19):
of Decatur there it is yep, LBJ National Grasslands. So
we can just shout it out and say, hey, we're
going to the grasslands. No plan, no rhyme, no reason,
bring your own stuff, your self sufficient out there, literally
because there's no water and there's no restrooms, there's no anything.
It's just grasslands. If you want to hang out, great,
(44:40):
come out, hang out with us, and you're on your
own other than we're playing all radio together. The other
thing is we could rent a pavilion somewhere, which like
we've done in the past for a day, like Lake
Gray Roberts if they are because Jason said someone at
Texas State Park's we out to him there is an
(45:01):
amazing pavilion at Cedar Hill State Park and I was
kind of talking about it. It has a huge, beautiful
inside because they built it this year and it's great
for groups. But you got to rent it for two days,
oh wow, And it was like a thousand dollars a
night and you get required to have two nights.
Speaker 2 (45:21):
Yeah, that's a lot.
Speaker 1 (45:23):
Yeah, but it was so beautiful. I saw that. I'm like,
we can get that. The other park we were kind
of talking about Jason wanted to go to was it.
It was north of Waco, Ring a Bell.
Speaker 4 (45:39):
It's because I was looking through lists, Jeff was looking
through lists, and mother nerfer.
Speaker 1 (45:44):
We kind of wanted to go to. The one in
Waco is uh oh, I haven't been to this one
in a while. Waco Mammoths National Monument. That is a
small monument park, no camping, and there's they found mammoths
skeleton in Texas, there's lake. But we were looking specifically
(46:04):
for lodges, which is culpable to what we stayed in,
which is which is fun. We could do cabins and
it's like, hey, we're going to go here and everyone
get their own cabin and we'll just have a big
bonfire over at ours.
Speaker 3 (46:19):
Hey, or if you want to do ten like you
guys are talking about, like at the Grasslands, just camping
and there there's a lot of places that you could
just do like a whole have like loops, so you
could just do camping, just go out there and camping
and it's like okay, Like if you do like danger
(46:41):
where we were at, there's a loop of like ten
of them and they're like ten bucks a night, and
it's like that would be It's like, okay, then we
can if we have like five or six of them,
we can set up radios in the middle and whatnot.
Speaker 1 (46:57):
We've done that and when we gone out and did
our you know, creators what we're calling it the North
Texas or not North Texas. I'm so used to Texas
and every name National Park Adventures group where we go
out and do the national parks with a bunch of
my friends and creators. We usually try to get sites
(47:21):
all together close to us so that we can always
hang out at one site and then everyone does that
have to walk. Plus if we get all the sites
around us, and then no one else will complain about
the live noise.
Speaker 2 (47:31):
Yeah really really yep.
Speaker 1 (47:35):
Yellowstone was special for that. I'll tell you all about
that after the recording. Here there's another Grasslands somewhere east.
I'm sorry, I'm not going to use East Texas. It's
north central Texas because nothing in Texas is east. That
is another open camping site.
Speaker 3 (47:55):
Yeah, it's it's part of LBJ Grasslands. It's just on
the side of this side of the DFW area. I
noticed that as what I was when I was looking
through places. I noticed that area as well.
Speaker 1 (48:10):
There is a state park. I did look at it
at Lake Tawahanee. I'm not saying that right Tawakane Yep.
They had a group camp area where you just rent
the area and then you have like up to twenty tents.
They said they supported, but that is just no water,
(48:31):
no power, is just the field when someone wanted to
rent it for group's outings. Okay, so there's that option too.
There's several options on the table. Keep all listening and
we keep you all updated, and if something it does
go public, we'll let you know. We'll see it everywhere,
like on the live streams, on the audios, and then
(48:51):
we'll talk about it on Jason's Ham Radio two point
zero live stream and on my live stream.
Speaker 4 (48:57):
We make our plans, know, Yeah, somehow there's been times
where I've missed plans like things, and it's just that
because I can't keep up. So that's one thing I've done.
You said earlier about muting some certain things. So that's
I've been kind of doing that through the servers.
Speaker 1 (49:12):
Some channels I do have in notifications because you can
set a notification for that channel, yeah, and say notifications
on all messages. So I have that set for several
key servers. Like Kyle said, howdy to y'all in the
National Park Adventures.
Speaker 3 (49:29):
Yep, I need to look into need to look into
the weekend and some contributing factors like oh, what's the
night nighttime temperature usually there yeah, mm hmm.
Speaker 1 (49:44):
Well all right, y'all. I am gonna say seven three
for now. This is awesome hanging out. Paul, you have
a channel, go ahead and tell us where can we
find more about you and what's coming up?
Speaker 4 (49:58):
Well, it's prep Pam Paul for Prepare Ham for Ham Radio,
and my name Paul. And it's usually just a Sunday
night rag chew just chat about certain topics eight thirty
Central time, and then I throw out an occasional video,
but mostly just the just the live streaming Sunday nights
and pretty much on all the all the socials, but
I focus usually just on YouTube and Facebook and Trovo.
Speaker 1 (50:20):
Awesome, awesome, Well, thank you for hanging out and coming
by and supporting me. I do appreciate it. Paul.
Speaker 2 (50:26):
Yeah're awesome, always great tank.
Speaker 4 (50:28):
You got a lot of great stuff, and uh it's
uh it's fun to be able to be support for you.
Speaker 1 (50:33):
Thank you. I appreciate it. Jeff my man, what's going
on in your world? And are you going to release
a video here soon? Uh?
Speaker 3 (50:42):
Probably not. I'm more when I was on when I
was on active on my channel, I was more like Paul,
just doing live streams and it's just I had set
up to get back into that yet. So just hanging out,
going around camping. So that's currently what I'm doing.
Speaker 1 (51:03):
That that will be a good channel on its own, right,
you know, there's a lot of channels to specialize in
camping and overlanding. Yeah, so awesome man, Well, thank you
for supporting me. You are awesome and I appreciate everything
you do to help me and just hanging out and
spending a nice Thursday night together. Honestly. One last note here,
(51:26):
I need to put a poll together for this coming
year to see what would be a good day or
to give all the commanders an option to move the day.
It's Thursday today because I came home from field day
and it was supposed to be this coming Sunday, and
I didn't know what time I was going to be
home and if I'll be up to streaming or not
because I was tired or got to get ready for
(51:48):
the live stream, so I kicked it off to Thursday.
But I'm I could do Thursday nights or another night
and probably put a poll together. Watch for that probably
popping up in or supporter feeds or emails if you're
on Patreon, or just watch the YouTube. Where do they
all post If you're on YouTube member, it's in the
(52:10):
community tab, So what pop up in the communities. Honestly,
I like Patreon better because I can reach out better.
There's emails, and this feels more personal over there.
Speaker 2 (52:24):
Yeah, I'm getting kind of used to it.
Speaker 1 (52:29):
Well. Thank y'all for hanging out with me, and as always,
go forth and conquer. Say bye bye bye. Thank you
to all my Patreon supporters. You can support me on
Patreon there's a link in the description below, And to
all my tankers out there, go forth and conquer.
