Well, welcome to Taro Crazy. Hi. I'm Dorothy and this
is our beginner's series and we are looking at understanding
the Emperor. Last week we talked about suits, and so
we're back into the major arcana. And to me, I
don't see any point in running them all is like
you know, in any kind of order, because it's completely irrelevant.
(01:32):
One of the most impressive things about the Kabbala and
attainments and any Hindu attainments I've looked at and explored,
which is quite significant, is there isn't an order. There
are here's the attainments. We've written them this way because
you know, you've got to write them somewhere, something has
to be written for, something has to be written last.
But a person can have an understanding of a very

high concept, a very complex concept, and still be adults
in other ways. Right have you met people that are
really intelligent with their work with certain aspects of life,
and yet they seem blind or unknowing or naive in others?
And so attainments we shift around them, and we shift
(02:16):
around them because if you have an attainment, say of knowledge,
you can't have attainment of all knowledge. And at different
times the knowledge becomes variable. So knowledge or enlightenment, which
is a combination of knowledge and understanding, by the way,
you can have knowledge without understanding and comprehension. So all
of these things do rather matter with the Emperor and
(02:38):
with variable cards different types of cards. The bigger problem,
I guess with the right weight and the older style
deck is they reference a time in such a way
that was more I guess valid for them. I don't
want to say it's irrelevant now, it's just that the
(03:00):
connotations are improbable. Let's put it that way. So when
I created the Victorian Taro, I changed the directives specifically
for that reason. It was to make them more relevant.
In the images are still the eighteen hundreds because I
kind of like that. I like the atmosphere of it all,
and it's a bit whimsical, and it's kind of kind
of kind of call I like it. And I've read
(03:22):
a lot of eighteen hundreds type stuff, you know, I
used to read massive amount of romances that were historically
referenced that was set in the eighteen hundreds. But on
top of that, you know, historically speaking, when we recognize
that these words have a connotation, I want you to
just think in your mind right now, the emperor. The
word emperor, we all know what it means, right, and
(03:45):
so we missed this part of everything. You have a
bias or a prejudgment or a thought or a train
or an idea as soon as you see that word. Now,
an emperor is a person. It's not a god, it's
a and so we also have that understanding that the emperor,
it's the emperor is a person. And so it's harder
(04:07):
to or we need to consciously direct ourselves to separate
the energy and power that that person has from the
intention of the card and what's appropriate in day to
day life now in twenty twenty five, or what's appropriate
considering how much has changed from the days where only
(04:28):
men had power. Think about that for a second. Or
only men had obvious power. Women had power sort of manipulatively,
probably more from the back foot, and then only if
they were allowed it, if it was given. So pretty
interesting stuff, right, So the emperor represents one word, and
that's power when we look at directives. If you look
(04:51):
at the word power and you just sit with it
for a minute, even pause this, if you need to
think about it just for a minute, the difference between
the emperor, which is very static, and the word power.
A child can have power. And because we don't read
once a year now, which is how it was done
right up until halfway through the first twenty years of
(05:12):
the century, it's hard to go. We caught it the
way through already this century. One of the things around
that that's so interesting is we understand inside ourselves what
these things are. But times really did change, and we
have changed how we read. I'm still going to go
daily readings are pointless, by the way. That's not about
(05:34):
changing reading. It's about completely norminalizing the whole thing, taking
out its value and making it mean nothing to plan around.
And it's not a horrible thing if that's what you
want to do. If you want to read cards, well
it's just not workable. It's never going to be workable.
And so we come back to this understanding of the
word power, and what's different now to the eighteen hundreds
(05:55):
of seventeen hundreds and the pre Chinese time is is
that a child can have power in the household, which
they never ever had. Till more recent times, children did
not have power in the household. They were never given
power on any level. You know, do as I say,
not as I do. I've got the right to beat
you and there's no law that's going to stop me.
(06:15):
I think even in New Zealand our laws for beating
children and wives didn't stop till the sixties, so you
know we're getting up there and it's still after these cards.
If you're using older style, I'm not going to call
them traditional because they're not. They're just what was marketed
the most here. There were already a lot of cards
around by the mid nineteen hundreds, there were all sorts
(06:38):
of things going on, and by the late eighties and
nineties there was a phenomenal amount of cards around. Unfortunately,
as good as many of them were, we don't really
see them now because the people making money out of
cards prefer to make one set of cards and make
as many hundreds of thousands of them as they can
as chiefly as possible as they don't last, so you've
got to keep buying them, and that's just business. It's marketing.
(06:58):
I don't hate them for it, it's just what it is.
They don't have to pay royalties to anybody, so one
hundred percent of their profit is their profit outside of printing,
which is cheapest chips Japan. China does a ton of
it cheapest chips for them. It's a massive market that
they're trying to hang on to. So think about that
as a reader, the importance of your cards. I don't
(07:21):
think they need to resonate. I'm going to say that too.
They don't need to resonate with you. If you think
the imagery is really complex and interesting, you don't even
have to like a card to read it well. And
you're never going to like seventy eight cards or seventy
eight images, it's not going to happen. But you can
dislike an overall look of a deck or the overall
style of illustration. I listened to a lady, a reader.
(07:46):
She was talking about somebody asked her about their deck
and showed her a card or three that they were
planning on printing, and she just said, I'll never like
collage decks. And my mind went, yeah, that's not quite though.
The important part of that. A lot of you do
like college decks, and they've been around for thirty years now,
not so much before that. So when we come to
the Emperor, and when we come to directives minus power,
(08:09):
other people have other words for that then you're looking
for directives as well as imagery that lead you, that
guide you where you want to go. So if we
look at the emperor, we've got a man on a
throne usually and he's looking pretty stolid. It's always going
to be a man. They put a woman there, there's
a disconnect between us and that. It's an emperor, you
can call it. There's an empress card, so you can't
(08:31):
have two of those. So it becomes this interesting thing,
the empress and the terot, just so as we get it.
And the oldest style terror is a soft, feminine looking
woman who isn't pregnant by the way she's wearing. The
style of the day, which was bustled out the front.
That was like Jean van Aich. If you know art
at all and art history, very famous painting back then.
(08:51):
That Arthur Waite would have been very aware of our life,
as Levi would have been very very aware of because
he was in France, he was in Europe, and so
these top artists of their day, these were the fashions.
The women wore clothes that were under the bust and
they dropped away and there was a lot of fabrics,
so they tended to look bigger, so when they were pregnant,
(09:14):
you couldn't tell. Pretty simple. When they did get that way,
they locked them away in the rooms so nobody could
see them. So not a room, but you know what
I mean, a suite of rooms. But when it comes
to it understanding that the Emperor is like to pronoun,
it's a name of a being of their stance. It's
a title. It isn't an energy as such. And so
(09:36):
whatever your cards have on them, because it really doesn't matter,
whatever your cards have on them is going to prejudice you.
It's going to bias you to a way to read
that card to a certain extent, no matter what the
meaning you look up says, it's going to do that.
But the Emperor is often read as a card of authority.
(09:57):
It's often when it comes up, it's read as legal
issues or legal stuff institutions, and it's not it's not
at all. But because it's the emperor and that throne
is so SOLIDI there are cards for that. By the way,
just so as we're clear about that, there are cards
for that, so we don't need to double up and
make one card aligned with another card. They're meant to
(10:21):
be different. They meant to cover many many aspects that
when you draw saten cards you've got your bases covered
with potentials of what could be going on and complexities
and so on. You lose that with smaller readings, of course,
but there's that understanding that the cards are designed to
have that complexity very clever. Let's not pretend they're not.
(10:42):
So as we move on, we can delve into that
a little bit and you can have a look and think, okay,
so the core of this card, even if you're looking
at an older deck, is it's solid and it's powerful,
except it misses the fact that a woman can have power. Now,
the places that have power over us used to be
the lord and the lady who owned the land and
(11:02):
which your cottage was, who took half of what you
grew and created. They still do today in England, by
the way, horrifying story. And so you've got these richer
people sort of always in power getting more powerful. Right,
But we come back now, an emperor is royalty in
a different way. He's over an empire. That means it's
not one country anymore. It's a lot of countries, and
I rule over all of you. So with their understanding
(11:26):
of the word power. We can look at that your
child could have power over you. If you're drawing more
often which people are. A child could have power over
you in a week or a month, whether it's through
feeling guilty that you feel guilty because of something that
they can't have, or something they need or something they
want or something they're pushing for. And that can be
(11:46):
whether they are three years old or twenty years old. Actually,
they can have power over you for a period of time,
or they might be getting away with stuff and you
may have given them entitlement issues. By the way, entitlement
often a lead to a person without power exerting power
over others by manipulation, by abuse. The spoiled children of
(12:07):
the world quite often become the abuses and the narcissists
as adults. Yeah, don't raise that one. And so we've
got this understanding. It can be interactive. You can have
a loss of power to somebody at a period of time,
but another time you may be the one with power.
So what is a card that's a major arcana that's
a very important card that could be if ignored or
(12:28):
if going about things the wrong way, if you misuse power,
what would their strength of this card be. Well, the
life lesson of misusing power is often being cut off.
It's often having a rebellion, it's often having others just say,
you know what, I'm not doing this anymore. It's been
called out. Any of those things, you could think you
have more power in a situation, or have more value
(12:51):
to somebody else that gives you power. See how that works.
So how does the power come to you in the
first place? Misuse of power? And the Victorian where I've
got it as a power off. I actually got a
warrior and she think a very lethal looking sword, and
right next to him are two doves sitting on a branch,
quite calm, quite placid. And then there's a world. There's
(13:11):
a globe sort of sitting off to the side there,
and the globe has this massive idea of how much
impact we have. There's a map there, it's a world globe.
What impact do you have? This stripes which say it's
not always clear who's got the power here. And I
find that a very interesting thing when it comes to readings,
because you can have say two people a couple or
(13:34):
not couple, family doesn't matter, and you could have one
person who's upplaying themselves as a victim? Right. I worked
with a woman many years ago. She did DNA restructuring
with me as a program because she was really unhappy.
But she was in a marriage where her husband kept
threatening to kill himself, and she had three kids. She
(13:55):
was overweight because basically she was miserable, and obviously the
very first time she mentioned she might want to go,
he bought this up. And so she was in a
relationship she didn't want to be in because he was
playing a victim card, really a very serious one, because
she got scared of leaving. She got scared of taking
(14:15):
her power and taking her kids. At the end of
her DNA restructing, just in case you weren't sure, she
did end up leaving him, not because anybody said so.
She went through the process, understood things a lot better,
and then realized, you know what, if he does, that's
out of my hands. That's power. Taking back your power
could be the message that you're getting from this card
when you're looking at a reading, And that could be
(14:37):
if you're powerless because you didn't pay the rent or
the power bill or whatever it is, and you're feeling
really scared that things might sort of get on top
of you. Then you can take your power back by
arranging something, getting out in front of the problem, starting
to deal with it. You know, even if it's partial payments,
getting a scheme together, it's not spending money where you
(14:58):
don't need to be spending it, and so on and
so on, all of these things. Are we looking to
gain more power in our lives? Are we disempowered when
this card shows up? How do we get power back?
Because that's the attainment, the right use of power, having
power and using it correctly, using it peacefully, using it
in a way that works for everybody. The best leaders
do that. They don't control the messes because you will
(15:20):
always end up losing control of it. That's how it works.
Power does not work by force and continue to exist
in the form that it is. And that's whether we're
talking countries, relationships, individuals, work situations. Abusing power always has
a kickback by somebody at some point in some way,
(15:42):
And so think about that just a little bit. A
kid throwing attentionrum in the supermarket has quite a lot
of power over the parent. If the parent is really
embarrassed and just wants them to stop, they may give
them what they want, and therefore they're creating the next
step of power. That's mistairs as a tyrant who may
throw attention every time they want something until the parent goes, oh,
(16:04):
you know what, I've started a real problem here. I
need to resolve that. I need to take my power
back right as the adult, as the person who understands consequence,
as the person is spending money on this stuff and
has to also pay the power and the rent and
everything else by the food. So understanding power is incredible, really,
and the right use of power has another thing. It
(16:25):
brings peace of mind. So we're back to those two
little doves sitting on the little branch there. They can
be wiped out at any minute. The samurai's got the sword.
Not samurai, the warrior has got the sword. He's the
strong one in there, he's the power player in there.
They're not even looking at him. If he wanted to,
can just swipe those two doves. And it looks like
he could as well. And so there's that understanding there
that having the ability or the power to do something
(16:49):
doesn't mean you should. Just because you can doesn't mean
you should. Entitlement would be in that realm where it's
my right to have it. Therefore it's my right to
treat you however I like to get it. Whether it's
justifying oneself, whether it's getting something that you don't deserve,
haven't earned. All of that kind of thing comes into
(17:10):
play when power is involved at various times. This might
horrify the average person. If you happen to be under
the age of independence, as in you might be over sixteen,
but under the age of paying for everything yourself, so
many people have power over you that it's really incredible.
The person you pay rent to, the power company, the
(17:32):
foreign company, who your web company are, your internet company.
If they are different people or the same people, they've
got power over all of those parts of your lives.
They can cut you off. I want you to think
about that. They can cut you off. You know what,
when the Internet started, they couldn't do that. We're going
to w three, don't you worry. We'll get there. We'll
get back to that. They could not do that until
(17:54):
the corporate entities took over the Internet because they saw
money in it, they saw cattle and feeding. That's political,
but you know, there we are. And so now you're
looking at how many people have control over your life.
It's not the same thing as how many people have
power over your life, and control is a different thing. Again,
control could come from a misuse of power. Threatening to
(18:17):
leave somebody is a misuse of power. Why because you're
threatening them to get something for you, you have no
consideration of what's right for them. But also, if you're
really that unhappy, leave use your power correctly. If I
really don't like what this relationship is, if I really
don't like how it's going, then I should leave rather
(18:37):
than trying to make you bend to my will. Misuse
of power. We've got many ways we can misuse power,
and it's one of the cards. If you draw it
as a self development card, I always would tell somebody
this is definitely the majors. If you draw any major
arcane of card is a self development card, it's really
(18:58):
worth sitting with it for a minute, having a little
five minute meditation on it. You can do that in
the Dicable app. Actually, they've got this tone which is
really awesome. So if you draw a card for self development,
you can write in the journal what you think that
might mean, or talk to the journal. Nice. I love
that talk to the journal and types it as if
you're writing it, which is even better, and then you
(19:20):
can refer to it again later, have your meditation. Sit
with it just for a moment, listen to the tone
and allow. It's just really an allowance, allow the information
to come to their understanding. Not allowing a dictatorship within
yourself you can have. You can misuse power against yourself.
By the way, being highly self critical is mis using
(19:40):
power against yourself. The chances are if you're doing it
to yourself, you're also doing it to others. Just so
as we get that right, so power that means too.
Then if we're looking at the Emperor, we can't say
it's an authority figure. We can't say it's a legal matter.
All we can say is there's somebody with power. I
mentioned this when I did a reading once and I
(20:01):
was actually using the right away deck and I drew
the Emperor, and I said, there's a situation, there might
be a power struggle, or somebody's got power over you.
This woman just about jump down my throat. He goes,
nobody's got power over me. And I just couldn't help myself.
I said, well, you've got children, you've got a husband,
you've got a home that you're paying a mortgageohn you've
got a car that you're paying off. There's so many
(20:22):
people with power over you that it is not funny.
If your children do not go to school in this country.
In New Zealand, other countries are the same. They will
send an officer around to you to make you send
your children to school. They have power over you. If
you don't do what you're meant to do and you
receive government moneies, they can withdraw those moneies. They have
power over you. They're not necessarily controlling you at the stage,
(20:44):
but they could be so understanding how many different variations
If somebody has power over you. If you're driving on
the road, other people may have power over you, depending
on what they're driving, how they're driving, what the conditions are.
But I can tell you that the police definitely do.
Traffic definitely has power over you. The flow of traffic
has power over you for the period of time you're
(21:05):
stuck within it. So it's a really complex area because
when these cards were designed, cars were only just a
couple here and there. Most people didn't have the amount
of people sticking their fingers in their pockets to get
money out of them for everything that they did. If
you wanted to go and start a business, you can
(21:26):
started a business if you could afford it and it
worked great. Did they take tax here, but otherwise no problem.
The biggest thieves back then were your landlords. They're still
the same today. And so it becomes this understanding. Those
people all have power over you. And I'm pressing you
with this because so could your sister or your brother
or a friend if you need something from them, or
(21:48):
if they have something over you, if they have some investment,
or you have an investment and there's something you want,
if you have a transactional relationship. You just gave power
to somebody else. So how do you get it back?
And you don't get it back by looking at cards
in a narrow way. You get it back by looking
and thinking, I need to get the power back. How
do I do that? And that becomes your next draw.
(22:11):
That becomes the next thing you can do. How can
I get my power back in this area? Because you
may have a lot of power and other areas. You
might be the supervisor in your workstation. Somebody still has
power over you, but you have power over others. What
kind of experience do they have with you with your power.
Do you wield your power fairly justly? Not everybody's going
(22:33):
to like that, but those that do that have always
been the respected leaders in the world, the respected leaders
of a classroom. The best teachers are the ones that
are detached from whether something is liked or disliked by
their students or by the people there. They just imparting
the information, enlightening the person and informing them. They're not
(22:56):
getting angry or upset if they do wrong, or if
they do something wrong, or if they quit them. That's
simply passing that information on. I'm very focused when I'm teaching,
so it's it's just boom boom boom. I don't have
to be emotional about it, so neither does anybody else.
That becomes something that becomes a misuse of power. If
(23:16):
you've got a teacher, for example, who gets upset or
picks on people, or is snide or sarcastic, those kind
of things, or if you know they mark kids down
for getting it wrong, they've got power, significant power. If
you've got a body of people who can decide what
your future might be, they've got power for that period
of time. If you're going for a job interview, the
most powerful person on that day is the interviewer, not you.
(23:41):
That's how that goes. And so this happens consistently. Get
on a train or a bus. Soon as you get on,
the power is with the larger thing, which is the train,
the train driver of the organization. Ever been on a
bus that broke down and you couldn't get out? That
happened to me when I was in I was in
America and I was flying out of Philadelphia to Los
(24:04):
Angeles and we got on a bus. You know, the
buses are little electric ones that take you out to
the plane. And I got onto that because I didn't
realize you're like three feet up. You just step onto
the bus. It went about twenty meters. It just died,
and we were all stuck on it and the doors
didn't open. It got hotter and hotter inside. The driver's
separated from us. Nobody's telling anybody anything. And you've got
(24:26):
all these people trying to and wanting to get to
the plane that they have to get on, and nothing's happening,
and they're not told. And you could see that the
fractious energy went up and up and up. Nobody really
said anything. Everybody's very polite, there's nothing that goes on there,
But the lack of information was giving power to the driver.
They didn't have to explain themselves. Finally, after about seven
(24:48):
or eight minutes, the voice inter calm came over and
they said, you know, we've experienced a breakdown. They're going
to send another bus to us. So he was holding
us and through and incorrect really because right from the
start he could say, oh, sorry, folks, we've experienced a breakdown.
I'll let you know what's going on as soon as
we get more information. But the bigger problem was that
(25:08):
with no windows and no doors open and nobody opening them,
we just got hotter and hotter hotter while we were
in there. So just so you understand that it doesn't
matter what you do in any one day. Somebody can
have power over you and probably does, and that's fine,
But the question becomes, when this card is drawn, how
is that manifesting for you? How are you experiencing that
(25:32):
and what doesn't mean for your day. So again, when
you're looking at cards and you're thinking about buying a
Taro dick or looking at taro dicks, whether the e
decks or printed dicks. Look for imagery and directives that
you can use in the broader sense and that aren't
narrowed down to an old stop. I've got to say that,
(25:52):
you know, when we're talking about the eighteen hundreds and stuff,
the Briton the bricks were an empire, do you understand that.
So they controlled India for a long time until the
twenties and India rose up against them, done and dusted.
So it's not like they were going back to a
Roman time. They ruled over Ireland, who was fighting at
(26:13):
the time, They ruled over Wales in Scotland, and they
ruled over India and took and made laws to make
it impossible for them to create their own fabrics by
the way, held them back, took them back hundreds of
years behind where they already were, because they were far
more advanced civilization than England was. So England was an
empire through the period of time that these sort of
(26:35):
cards were created, and their imagery reflects that more than
anything else. So think very carefully when you're looking at
it now. You could know that its power and still
read older decks in that way, but also look at
your imagery. Does it inform you does it show you
the broad scope so that if you looked at an image,
if you looked at an image of a card, do
(26:58):
I have this instant under standing of the whole when
I'm looking at it, and I'm really looking at it?
And that's what we really need to do when you
buy a new deck of cards, as you look at
the card. If you want to buy a print deck,
you can go to make playingcards dot com. You can
look up the Victorian Terror and then it will show
you every single card in the deck. But that's not
just any deck there, so you don't have to have
(27:20):
partial understandings or I like these few images I got
the deck. I think A poor girl said this about
two days ago, three days ago. She was quite disappointed.
She said, I've paid quite a lot for my deck,
and when I opened it, I liked a number of
the cards, but I just didn't like the rest, she said,
I don't like I just don't like it. And so
you know, you want to these days go and get
(27:41):
a good look at every card, and again you're not
going to like all of them, and the Victorian Terror too,
for the for the what would be otherwise the Chariot,
you know, I've got victory and conquests. Sorry, I've called
a conquest. We've got to overcome something within ourselves. It's
not a coming something and something else. So as soon
(28:01):
as you've got a major Arcana card, but in that
card it's a Western almost because you know that's like
my history. But it was going on back then, right
the wild West, and so it's not about England. My
cards are never about one country. It's about a concept.
And the concept to me was all of these years
of watching, you know, horses running wild in the wild
and dust being swept up that doesn't happen in New
(28:23):
Zealand or England, dust being swept up all over the place.
And of course he's a guy and he's got a
cart and he's driving it full tit. He's guying as
fast as he can, and there's a horse running up
beside him free and he's leaning trying to control his horses,
but he could lose it at any moment. And the
whole point of that picture is it looks missy, and
it looks obscured, and it looks like things could go
(28:45):
out of control at any moment. And then I go
and look at the chariot and the older style decks,
and I'm like, yep, nope, you don't get that impression.
And yet when they give you the directive of the chariot,
you know, things are egy, things could get out of control.
There's nothing in that card to indicate that. It's more
(29:06):
of an example of stories through symbology, maybe, but it
just doesn't all quite add up. And at the time
I get it, there were brand new discoveries like twot
and commune, you know, and we know, please note the chariot,
the Egyptian thing. What did he do? He was a
mad racer, by the way, he was like a boy racer.
(29:27):
Today he with chariots, So what happens. He has a
few major accidents and half Wreckx's body, which is probably
what killed him later through in fiction and everything else
going on. But he was just a young lad, a
young man, not even a man, and he's the leader
of his country. Think about that for a second. He's
a pharaoh, as powerful as a god. So I could
(29:50):
have put him there in my power card. But he
was a boy. Therefore he has his power, he lost
control of it. So we've got these chariots. I get
that because I know the story. If you don't know
the story, would you get that because we've got the
sphinxes they tell us it's about Egypt, right, we know
that chariot racing was enormous sport in Egypt way back
(30:11):
in the day. So those are the historical elements that
are in the car, but they're not in that image.
They're in the cart. Chariot racing through Roman era again
the same period of time was enormous and people died.
It's like quite a serious thing. I think, give me
a car any day of the week, because these guys
they going really fast and they've got no protection, they've
(30:33):
got no softness. I mean, think about that just for
a second. Everything's whistling by, and if you just go
slightly off, the whole thing will just flip over and
you're as good as dead or at least major damage.
At least if we flip a car, we're hopefully strapped
in and we've got a roof above our heads. So
all of these things matter. And I think the symbology
(30:55):
in the chariot, and I know we talk about the
emperor because there's very little symbology actually an the emperor.
It's all like stolid but in the chariot you've got
these symbology things like you've got a dark sphinx and
a white sphinx. There's an image that goes before Arthur
Wait and Life is Levi imaged them. When you look
at if you put this into your search engine, a
(31:17):
life is Levi the chariot right now bearing a mind.
He was French and Arthur Wait translated all of his
works to English, all I think thirty odd books or
whatever they were, and Transcendental Magic and a number of
his other books talk about the major Arcana, they talk
about the Kabbala, they talk about development, but every single
(31:38):
one of them, including Arthur Rates, refutes that the idea
is Egyptian or religious or anything like that. So we
just need to just ignore people trying to bring that in.
The imagery comes from being larger than life, looking for
cultures that believed in God's to such an extent that
they were exalted. And of course by then England, didn't
(31:59):
you know King Henry had taken down the religion, done
and dust it. There's your revelations. It's like he took
it out, killed anybody who said they were going to

Now there's no Catholicism here. It caused a lot of
bloodshed through that period, easily for fifty years, maybe more

so thinking about what cards represent and understanding but a
history and understanding the art of the day and understanding
arthaweight did not invent the imagery that he's created. He's
restylized them. But if you put the chariot up, these
are probably the most obvious ones for me. If you
put a life as Levi's chariot drawing up, and they're
only drawings because guess what, they didn't print cards. It's

had printing presses where they turned a handle, they weren't
printing cards, and they would just have it like a

the eight hundreds, that's when that sort of went more mechanical,

couldn't really afford them. So just saying so we get
that a life is Levi Charott, and you have a
look at that side by side, get two tabs up
and separate them out and to double your screen or
split your screen on your tablet and have a look
at them. And you'll actually see quite a significant interesting

difference between the look of a life as Levi's drawing
and the look of Arthur Waite's card, and the benevolent
nature of Arthur's card versus the distraction which is really
evident in a life of Levi's look. He didn't do

the cards. They were all drawn into his book. They
were drawn in and then he went down a whole
pile of information to understand the spiritual concept, what it
means for attainment, what it means alchemically, and so on
and so on. So all pretty powerful stuff just four

cards with imagery that resonates with your or sorry, I
don't mean resonates. Actually resonate doesn't mean a thing. It's
just this is what agrees with me, is what resonates is,
but appeals to you visually, and that when you look
at it you get an emotive response from it. You

can feel the response. It feels good to look at it,
or it feels awkward to look at it, or as
you look into it, you think, you know what that
reminds me of what that feels like. This that's reading
cards right there, and then that goes on to evoke
an intuitive response, which is undeniably the most accurate, a
