Me tonight today almost every time, three, we're gonna go
with three this time of our wonderful hosts here on
the channel.

Speaker 4 (00:26):
First up, mister p Features, Hello internets.

Speaker 3 (00:31):
And we also have Lance a little psycho. Come on man,
he does, he continues, And we also have our our
in house horror historian, mister buzz.

Speaker 2 (00:47):
As the uh what was it the ice or.

Speaker 1 (00:50):
The Stargate fans.

Speaker 3 (00:52):
We had a wonderful conversation before we started this.

Speaker 1 (00:56):
Maar gets on the way back.

Speaker 3 (00:58):
Yeah, some stuff, but this is our kind of our
weekly news show. Trying to be consistent with this. A
lot of stuff has dropped since last week. We're gonna
cover a couple of things. Here's a quick sample of
what we'll be talking about today. There's some Black Panther
three information out there. There's a we seem to be

(01:20):
covering Sadie Sync a lot. We still haven't figured out
what she's doing in Marvel, so we're gonna talk a
little bit more about that. She will not be in
the Legends of Zelda movie. We're going to talk about
that briefly, and then we have some new casting info
for Man of Tomorrow that we'll be talking about. There's
also some other things we'll sprinkle in, some of that

(01:42):
Paramount Warner Brothers news. We'll cover that a little bit.
But first up, we have this is kind of interesting.
It didn't come out of anywhere, Like I guess what
was it the It wasn't Deadline. It was yeah, no,
it was Deadline. They were doing some type of meetup
and Ryan Coogler was there. This was the Contenders event

(02:05):
that was over the weekend, and while he was there
on a panel, he gave out some interesting information and features.
What was that information he provided us with?

Speaker 4 (02:17):
He said, the next film is Black Panther three.

Speaker 2 (02:27):
It better be better than the second one.

Speaker 4 (02:32):
I mean, I have a feeling it will be better
than the second one, just because there's probably gonna be
things that we don't expect to happen. And I think
more importantly, who is going to be the Black Panther
and Black Panther three, I think is the big question.
Whiches we kind of gotta.

Speaker 2 (03:00):
No.

Speaker 4 (03:01):
I honestly so from from a lot of the rumors
and a lot of the fans have been saying, or
they have been wanting. They've been wanting Damson Idris. He's
popular from Snowfall, the series Snowfall and F.

Speaker 3 (03:15):
One come on, the Best Movie of the Year.

Speaker 4 (03:18):
And F one. Yeah, he was in F one as well.
He's a very talented actor. I have no issue with
him being the new Black Panther at all. He's young.
You can get a couple of years out of him.
And honestly, let's let's look at it this way, right uh.
In Wakanda Forever, we do know at the end of
that movie, we find out T'Challa has a son and

(03:42):
his well, his name is Toussaunt but he is still
to Challa and name I think that they made that
his middle name or something like that. But anyway, regardless,
he's a kid then. But we at this point you
can age him up for some various reason and boom,
Damson interests all there for you. I think it's a

(04:02):
really good way to go. But I mean, what do
you think much?

Speaker 3 (04:08):
I when I first heard his name pop up, and
it's he's been kind of circling around this this project
for a while. I mean the project itself has been kind.

Speaker 2 (04:15):
Of just out there.

Speaker 3 (04:17):
Yeah, I'm after seeing f one perfectly like he will
fit perfectly into the role, depending on I mean, it
depends what they do with the title, you know, with
Black Panther, with Tchalla, Yeah, how they.

Speaker 2 (04:36):
Figure that out?

Speaker 1 (04:37):
You know?

Speaker 3 (04:37):
Is he going to be a variant that comes in
from somewhere? Are they just or are they going to
spend this story in a different way to allow I
don't know, somebody else to be in there.

Speaker 2 (04:48):
You know.

Speaker 3 (04:49):
What's interesting to me is like Denzel Washington is still
like his name is still kind of attached to this project.

Speaker 2 (04:55):
He wants in. So what does his role look like?
Who will he play?

Speaker 3 (05:00):
Uh, there's a lot of theories behind I heard one
theory about him being like a political figure from Wakanda
and I guess, yeah, trying to I don't know, promote
the land or the country.

Speaker 4 (05:18):
And yeah, it was it was something I can't like
that I can't remember what with the the full backstory
of of of that character was supposed to be. But
he was supposed to be some type of antagonist who
who was a little off in the head, has a
little puppet that he Yeah, I.

Speaker 2 (05:35):
Remember us talking about that.

Speaker 3 (05:37):
Yeah, but like this newer I don't know if it's
the same type of character or the same character, but
more of like a political villain. So he's not like,
you know, somebody with powers that's you know, a typical
Marvel villain, but someone more along the lines of, uh,
you know, kind of what they were doing in uh,
Winter Soldier. Yeah, or from a political standpoint.

Speaker 4 (06:00):
Yeah, I mean it could be great. It could be great.
I mean, I honestly think it will be great. I
think Ryan Coogler has enough time to work this script
out before they get the shooting, because we're not going
to see Black Panther like next year. We got to
do Douesday first and then and then Secret Wars has
to happen. So we we know the slate as of

(06:22):
right now. Allegedly, unless Marvel changes something.

Speaker 3 (06:26):
There was there's that the one project that doesn't have
a title or whatever or they're not sure exactly what
it is. It might be coming out in twenty eight
I think unentitled Marvel project.

Speaker 4 (06:38):
Yeah, I still got that is. I think that's going
to be a Doctor Strange movie. Personally, I just I
think because he plays a role of really big role
in Secret Wars. I'm not going to say what that
is to get people, you know, walking talking all Eh,
it's grewt uh he he is. Well, you will find

(07:00):
him working side by side with doom And in Secret
Wars if we're doing the more recent Jonathan Hickman run.
So I think we're going to get a Doctor Strange
film that that untitled release that's supposed to happen, because
you got to explain that, like, I don't want to
go into Secret Wards and Doctor Strange is just there like, oh, hey,

(07:20):
what happened to uh Clara or what's her name? Uh? Shoot,
I can't remember her name right now, but the I
think that shows up at the end of Multiverse of
Madness too, and she's like, oh, we got a convergence
to deal with, come with me, Clia, Yes, thank you, Claiar.

Speaker 2 (07:38):
Uh it's going to be back.

Speaker 3 (07:40):
I mean, you don't put her on the sideline very
long exactly.

Speaker 4 (07:44):
And I want to see what they do with that
before we get the Secret Wars, and I'm hoping that's
the case personally.

Speaker 3 (07:50):
Yeah, there was some information a while ago about the
next one and who's going to direct. I have no
idea who if they were thinking or but you know,
we'll go for whatever.

Speaker 2 (08:04):
I don't know. I don't know.

Speaker 3 (08:09):
Anything else with Black Panther three.

Speaker 2 (08:12):
Anything we're hearing.

Speaker 4 (08:14):
Uh, nothing else, not yet. Good to know that that
that's next from Coogler, But nothing much else that we know.
I mean, I mean, but there's a lot of other
things that we don't know with characters and movies, right.

Speaker 3 (08:31):
Yes, like who the hell is Sadie Sync playing in
the Marvel Universe?

Speaker 5 (08:36):
Look at that? Look at that?

Speaker 3 (08:39):
Well, so we don't know. We know she's in Brand
New Day, we know she was on set. You know
she's in London. I just found out because you know,
doing that research that you have to do. She's doing
a play over in London for X amount of weeks
or something like that. So that could roll right into
the next film, which she is supposedly showing up in.

Speaker 2 (09:02):
And since they've kind of already are.

Speaker 3 (09:05):
Almost done I think mid mid this month or mid December,
they're going to be done filming all of Doomsday apparently
that's supposedly when they'll rap. So this would be the
next one, which we know is Secret Wars. You know,
I don't exactly know where this I think this was
a Daniel Rickman thing where yeah, she is supposedly going

(09:32):
to be in Secret Wars.

Speaker 6 (09:34):
I heard that same thing as well, and it kind
of leans into the is she an X Men type character.

Speaker 4 (09:45):
I'm gonna say, yes, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 6 (09:49):
Everything that we've seen that the kind of I almost
want to say, mister Rex with the combat boots and
different things like that. It's it's interesting now that this
news is I'm out, and we're getting that she's not
just there for this one shot.

Speaker 4 (10:06):
Yeah, And I think that's cool. But I think that
that piece alone kind of kind of hints at that
she's not like a Spider Man character per se. I
will go with Jean Gray likeness the good It's just
it's just me, guys. I had to. I had to.
I had to look up Sadie Sink to see what
she looked like.

Speaker 1 (10:25):
Again.

Speaker 4 (10:25):
I was like, oh, oh yeah, no, you're your gene.
I can't see anything other than Jane for you, because honestly,
the last the last girl that played Jean Gray's character
out of did they get her back or their Thrones?

Speaker 3 (10:40):
Yeah, she's gonna be low crofton TV series.

Speaker 4 (10:45):
Oh there you go, Sadie sink is Jean Gray here first?

Speaker 1 (10:52):
Yeah, the Mutants in New York.

Speaker 7 (10:55):
She could pop over and use a psychic power just
to kind of like put a little something in there.

Speaker 6 (11:01):
Oh yeah, what'd you got features?

Speaker 1 (11:06):
It's probably a cameo.

Speaker 4 (11:07):
You know, I would lean towards to being a cameo
as well, Like because she doesn't have Geen, Gray doesn't
have to be in all of Spider Man. This is
look I mean, if we look at the pattern of
things we've seen recently, Uh, let's start with the Marvels.
We got to see Beast and and and and uh
binary at the end of that film, and then we

(11:30):
saw uh.

Speaker 5 (11:34):
Nick and firm Kamala was a mutant.

Speaker 4 (11:37):
Yes they did, and we know they're there were at
some point. We're leaning into getting to the X Men's
or the mutant side there if they will. Uh so,
why not slowly introduce us to all the X Men
that are going to be there. You know we're going
to see some of them. And yeah, I don't. I
don't think you're doing an X Men movie without Jean Gray.

Speaker 7 (11:59):
Kind of just like like when that the first ten
years of Marble would like give you the hints of
the other character in the film. Yeah, and then like
six months later you got that movie.

Speaker 2 (12:09):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (12:10):
I feel like they're trying to get back to that,
you know, because you know, Fantastic.

Speaker 7 (12:14):
Four kind of like they didn't really you know interesting
yeah people then the Thunderbolts. But it's like so it's
like now you can kind of drop them inn a
scene or like because they're in the.

Speaker 1 (12:24):
City, you know what I mean.

Speaker 7 (12:25):
Like that was always the biggest issue I had with
the Avengers, was like Spider Man should be showing.

Speaker 4 (12:29):
Up right now, right, Yeah, so you're gonna run.

Speaker 7 (12:34):
Into the and then like the X Men stuff is
like that is quite literally the next big cash cow
to cash in on that, like they haven't really like
cashed in on yet, So yeah, you got to build it,
you know what I mean. This would be a great
way start dropping the hints in not to mention, you know,
she's on the Stranger thing stuff, so it's like come

(12:55):
back around, you know what I mean.

Speaker 4 (12:56):
So she's bubbling, so she's got a name she's going
to put Buttson's totally part.

Speaker 1 (13:02):
So it's like a no brainer.

Speaker 5 (13:04):
Yeah, Glenn Palell for Professor X Right.

Speaker 3 (13:11):
Oh you know what, you will make him cyclic.

Speaker 4 (13:16):
Have you guys this is a sidebar now because you
got me thinking about when you said that. Have you
guys heard heard or saw Laurence Fishburn saying he wanted
to be Professor X.

Speaker 1 (13:27):
I did see that. Yeah.

Speaker 4 (13:28):
I wasn't sure if that was just like like fake
news or whatnot, but I saw it around a few times.
I mean, I'll take it too, But is it necessary?

Speaker 1 (13:37):
No?

Speaker 5 (13:38):
Wait, isn't in the Marvel universe?

Speaker 4 (13:42):
Yeah? Yeah, yeah he is.

Speaker 1 (13:46):
Isn't.

Speaker 7 (13:47):
Patrick Stewart's like newest movie with Marvels, like his last one.

Speaker 1 (13:52):
He's retiring. Yeah.

Speaker 4 (13:53):
Yeah, he said that this will be his last time
being Professor X, which is sad because I think, aside
from being Captain Picard, he he is always Yeah.

Speaker 1 (14:07):
It's like if you don't use better Stewart your stud
right right?

Speaker 3 (14:13):
The uh to kind of circle back to Sadie real quick.
The one theory, so I'm completely on board and from
the jump I thought she would be or I still
think she is going to be Jean Gray. We'll put
that out there, but the one theory is that she
is actually going to be uh what's her face?

Speaker 2 (14:36):
Oh? Oh, the may Day.

Speaker 3 (14:39):
May Day Parker Parker, so who it would be the
daughter of Toby Maguire's Spider Man. And then she like goes,
I don't know, back in time or you know, she
pulls a terminator wants to you know, get rid of
I guess the spell that Strange put on the whole situation.

(15:03):
I don't know, to save whomever. But that's one of
the theories out there.

Speaker 2 (15:07):
Like, yeah, I mean, I.

Speaker 3 (15:10):
Guess Toby is definitely going to be in doomsday.

Speaker 4 (15:14):
Yeah, I'm not mad at Dad and the trailers coming.

Speaker 2 (15:16):
Soon too, right, Yeah?

Speaker 3 (15:19):
Yeah, I saw like a week today, is that right?

Speaker 1 (15:22):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (15:22):
So when when Avatar drops? December?

Speaker 2 (15:27):
Uh?

Speaker 8 (15:29):
Early Avatar fans, right, December nineteen, Yeah, so that's that's
pretty early.

Speaker 3 (15:40):
I don't know where I saw it was like next week.

Speaker 7 (15:44):
But Daniel RB, Yeah, watch out for the leakers.

Speaker 2 (15:50):
The leakers.

Speaker 3 (15:52):
Yeah, I'm sure there's a joke in there something. All right,
let's let's jump out of the wonderful Marvel universe and
head on over to Nintendo for a minute. Nintendo. So
I thought this was kind of funny because I believe
we all knew that there was a Legend of Zelda
movie coming. But I think one of us didn't or

(16:15):
had no idea that it was happening, and they were like.

Speaker 4 (16:17):
Pro what that that might have been?

Speaker 1 (16:19):
Me?

Speaker 2 (16:20):
Oh no, actually it was.

Speaker 6 (16:22):
The guy with the Link tattoo on his arm, like
my favorite game of all time, and I played all
of them. I think it was more I didn't want
to believe it was happening because I feel like every
year on April folds that same kind of rotation, those
Poters come out and the Legend of Zelda movie.

Speaker 5 (16:43):
So I always kind of like, this is never going
to happen.

Speaker 6 (16:46):
I mean, it's gonna work forty years, you know, and
and Nintendo still hasn't said yes to anything.

Speaker 5 (16:53):
But I guess this is real.

Speaker 2 (16:55):
Yeah. Oh, then then you saw the footage.

Speaker 3 (16:58):
It's up on the Instagram account. Actually there's behind the scenes.
I mean it looks like Zelda. It does the environment
that they're portraying in that little shot there. The actors
seem fine.

Speaker 6 (17:14):
That they costumes kind of look a Breath of the
Wild esque, and Link travels with Zelda a lot in
that game, and so Zelda could be the mouthpiece for Link,
which I would be okay with for the most part,
but that is one of the biggest concerns is that

(17:35):
Link doesn't talk, and how exactly do you do a
full length movie where the main protagonist doesn't speak.

Speaker 4 (17:42):
Well, Link's not a mute though, right, No, I mean
he says, yeah.

Speaker 2 (17:52):
It's kind of like how Mario goes.

Speaker 3 (17:57):
I'm sure, you know, judging by the actors that they
they got for this. I'm not familiar with either of them,
but they've been in some some stuff. I am familiar
with the director though, you guys know west Ball, some
of the stuff that he's done.

Speaker 4 (18:11):
West that name sounds from the hear.

Speaker 2 (18:14):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (18:15):
So Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes, the Maze
Runner trilogy, which is actually pretty good. Whoa, Yeah, I
enjoyed those three movies. I watched them all in an
afternoon and the wife and I really enjoyed it.

Speaker 5 (18:33):
All right, But.

Speaker 6 (18:36):
Yeah, I mean, if they seem fun like those movies.
I haven't seen the Maze Runners, but they look like
they're fun and they have a pretty big following, So
if they make it fun.

Speaker 1 (18:47):
Yeah, I feel like with just the picks that dropped
was it today? They dropped right?

Speaker 3 (18:50):
The pictures the last like, yeah, a couple couple of days.

Speaker 7 (18:54):
I feel like the more they are, the more they
show of it, like, the more hype will build for it,
because I know, you know, the Mario movies have ian
even in their animate or.

Speaker 1 (19:01):
Doing really well.

Speaker 7 (19:03):
Nintendo is certainly gonna do everything else that's like next,
you know, And for years they've been planning a Zelda
section of Universal Studios.

Speaker 5 (19:12):
Yeah, oh yeah, I remember hearing something about that.

Speaker 1 (19:16):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (19:17):
It's funny because I didn't make it past many of
the like some of the first games, so I'm thinking, well,
isn't she like in prison somewhere?

Speaker 2 (19:26):
Yeah? There they are on a horse together, like, what's what's.

Speaker 5 (19:30):
Going on here?

Speaker 4 (19:31):
That's the first game, right, She's you gotta you have
to rescue her?

Speaker 2 (19:36):
Yeah, yeah, Yeah.

Speaker 6 (19:40):
There's a very twisted timeline of the video games. There's
like thirty different games and they all kind of have
two main continuity timelines. It either fits an A or
B and it's wild. I think there's an hour long
video explaining on YouTube.

Speaker 4 (19:55):
I just want I want this Zelda movie to give
me game with thrones vibes, Like it doesn't have to
be exactly that, but I feel like I I should
feel like a dragon should fly down out of nowhere
at some point does this. That's just how I feel
about this, like it should. There's there's a lot of
magic involved.

Speaker 6 (20:16):
I on like a brighter side Last of Us kind
of pacing, you know where they're going into different areas
in the each episode they're kind of traveling through.

Speaker 3 (20:25):
Okay, I want to see the giant Icelandic guy crush
someone's head by sticking his thumbs in their eye holes
eye sockets?

Speaker 6 (20:36):
Is this why Nintendo keeps sueing everybody they're trying to
fund this movie?

Speaker 2 (20:42):
Maybe I don't know.

Speaker 4 (20:44):
No, Nintendo's just petty. They will see anybody.

Speaker 1 (20:47):
I think.

Speaker 4 (20:47):
Yes, there's been a lot of of of was it
Raspberry Pie games that have They got them off the
market quick. They's like, oh, oh, you want to copy
our Turtles game? Oh, that looks like Mario give us that.

Speaker 2 (21:01):
You'll probably get a take down for that video we
put up.

Speaker 4 (21:05):
We'll see you.

Speaker 6 (21:07):
And I aren't talking right now. They keep coming af
from my game Power World. It is one of the
best indie games that ever come out.

Speaker 4 (21:17):
Come on Inintendo'll give us a pass. We're not We're
not that big. You can let us lde.

Speaker 3 (21:23):
Oh boy, all right, we're putting Zelda to bed that
movie is set to release in twenty twenty seven.

Speaker 4 (21:33):
Oh yeah, what a got tapped all that stuff.

Speaker 3 (21:37):
I think what we're all pretty excited for would be
the next installment of whatever comes out of DC, and
we know Supergirls coming, But after that we have Man
of Tomorrow. We you know, got a little more information
about that recently. I still don't understand where the definitive

(22:01):
article of information out there, the definitive source stating that
Brainiac is going to be the villain of this movie.
I think we all assume that, but I still don't
understand where that actually came from.

Speaker 7 (22:12):
It wasn't like the picture on the script. Yeah, and
that was like that started the conversation around.

Speaker 3 (22:17):
Yeah, but like no one I like done hasn't come
out and said yes, you're right, right confirmed a whole
lot of speculation. But the latest thing to come out
and this is, uh, actually this is this is a
two parter. The first part was they're searching for someone

(22:41):
to portray wonder Woman or wonder Woman would be a
part of Man of Tomorrow. I believe that's what it was.
The next part was there was like a casting call
sent out where they're looking for someone, uh, in their
late twenties, has an edge to her height requirement, so
this person needs to be tall, shrank physique, and character

(23:05):
is a warrior. So everyone essentially served. You know, they
they assume it's Wonder Woman. I kind of assume that also,
but it could be some other people. What are your
thoughts on this?

Speaker 2 (23:17):
Everybody?

Speaker 4 (23:19):
Uh hmm, you know you're right. The easy assumption is
Wonder Woman, But it's James gun and I think his
neck for introducing us to characters that we either don't
care about or just like, yeah, don't expect. It's probably

(23:41):
a better the better wording for it characters we don't expect,
I think is his is his forte. So I don't
think it would be Wonder Woman. I still think Wonder
Woman deserves her own standalone film, if you know, they
decide to recast her, but.

Speaker 6 (23:59):
We has there been any kind of speculative casting for
this Wonder Woman character.

Speaker 3 (24:10):
There's a few names out there. I can't think of
her name right now, but the person from and Or
I don't remember her name, our our jew.

Speaker 2 (24:19):
I could look it.

Speaker 3 (24:20):
Up, but that's someone that's popped up. The latest one
I heard was also someone from and Or.

Speaker 2 (24:27):
Oh, my god, that's her name.

Speaker 3 (24:31):
She was the one of the officers. It was either
and or or it was Mandalorian. I can't remember.

Speaker 4 (24:37):
Okay, you say a Mandalorian, I'm immediately in my head
that description. I thought Gina Krana.

Speaker 2 (24:43):
Short.

Speaker 6 (24:44):
Yeah, yeah, I can honestly see that happening all things considered.

Speaker 3 (24:52):
Yeah, I mean, honestly, I think this is a two parter.

Speaker 1 (24:55):
Though.

Speaker 3 (24:55):
I think they're looking for wonder Woman, but I think
they're also looking for this specific per uh, which I
was looking up some stuff. So you may you might
have said Big Barta. Uh maybe maybe not, but that
that's a character that would probably be excellent for guns.

Speaker 2 (25:15):
Yeah, Release on the World.

Speaker 4 (25:17):
Yeah, he would pick and you know what if it
is Big Barta, that gives us a little bit of
a line to Dark Side Apocalypse.

Speaker 2 (25:29):
Yeah, so that.

Speaker 4 (25:30):
Would be a I'd love to see Big Barto scream.

Speaker 2 (25:33):
Adira or Juna or Johnna. That's the person.

Speaker 5 (25:40):
How tall.

Speaker 2 (25:42):
Tall?

Speaker 3 (25:44):
No, well that would be the Yeah, somebody brought up
I don't know how tall Hailey's step she's I mean.

Speaker 2 (25:54):
She would jump over to now.

Speaker 4 (25:56):
I don't think she's tall enough not to ride that ride.

Speaker 2 (26:00):
Uh.

Speaker 3 (26:01):
The the woman from or what's her name in Star
Wars fan Yeah, fasom, I can't think of her name,
but Brionna Tarthur or whatever from Game of Thrones, come on,
let me out here. Oh oh oh, but she's she's
a little on the older side.

Speaker 4 (26:19):
Now, yeah, I know you mean, yeah, Captain.

Speaker 2 (26:26):
Yeah, I don't know.

Speaker 3 (26:30):
You know, it'll probably be someone where like, oh, I
know them from this, but they're not in anything major.

Speaker 2 (26:37):
That's probably what's gonna happen.

Speaker 7 (26:38):
Is this the newest stuff that's come out about, like,
you know, the Gun, Superman, Supergirl stuff.

Speaker 1 (26:44):
I feel like it's been kind of quiet lately.

Speaker 3 (26:46):
Yeah, yeah, this is the news. So nothing's really come
out about Supergirl. It's super quiet.

Speaker 6 (26:54):
Because that's relatively soon, right like next year, like twenty six.

Speaker 2 (26:59):
Uh.

Speaker 3 (27:00):
Yeah, we had a timeline of that somewhere. I almost
want to say it's I.

Speaker 7 (27:05):
Read something somewhere where that if the sale of Warner
Brothers goes through, Gun is out.

Speaker 5 (27:12):
I had also heard.

Speaker 1 (27:13):
That rumor, so I'm wondering if that's why I think
you're quiet.

Speaker 6 (27:18):
It's kind of like I think that'll definitely read anyway appens.

Speaker 2 (27:25):
June twenty six for Supergirl.

Speaker 4 (27:27):
Yeah, summer, so they want to they probably I don't
want James gun to go, and honestly, I don't think
he should. If if they do, then the the DCU
has successfully rebooted almost as many times as the regular
comic book Universe of the to dc and I don't
I don't think they need that, especially if if the
plan is to keep up with Marvel, leave James gun

(27:51):
right where he is, let him do his thing, they.

Speaker 1 (27:54):
Might, Yeah, but it's also like above him, you know
what I mean. So it's a trigger sort of situation.

Speaker 7 (28:01):
I forget the guy's name, but somebody's in charge of
some kind of programming that paramount that would end up
taking it over if theyre WI or WB and so, yeah,
I love what James Gunn has done so much. Then
maybe they'll just be like, yo, keep him minute. If
they're kind of like, we don't really give a cram
about this guy because we have more money than anybody,

(28:21):
they might just do whatever they want with it.

Speaker 6 (28:23):
You know, I don't understand, you know, because it's like
he's making the DCU fun again. Yeah know, these movies
are actually fun to watch. You got a lot of
brooding for the last twenty years or so, and it's
actually exciting. But the fact that we're not hearing anything

(28:43):
at all on these projects is worrying a little bit.

Speaker 4 (28:50):
I just think it's new. I think the most. I'm
only worried about certain things because I'm at this point
I'm used to gun coming out and like, Nope, that's
not true. Oh yeah, no, we are doing that. But no,
that's actually you're you're right.

Speaker 3 (29:04):
He's very quiet right now.

Speaker 2 (29:06):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (29:06):
I think it's because of the sale.

Speaker 2 (29:08):
Yeah, it could be.

Speaker 1 (29:09):
It's like it's.

Speaker 7 (29:11):
Way above them, like you know what I mean, Like
this is big boy league stuff. This is not like
cute director, quirky art stuff. Yeah, this is like CEO stuff.
He's not in that, you know what I mean. Now,
depending on who his alliances are with and who's got
his back, that's going to stay. If things move like
it could, all the dust could settle and he could remain.

(29:32):
But I'm just saying that, like, I don't want to
see him go. I've been a fan of this guy
since he started. It's just when you're talking to on
a CEO level, he doesn't really have a say, you
know what I mean, you can be right and as
successful and creative as possible, but this is like this
is this is billions of dollars here on the line
for ownerships of stuff, and that tends to lead people

(29:55):
to get gravy and want to do something new. I mean,
so many times as someone was promised to be cast
in something because the director changed, that person was no
longer attached because they wanted to bring their.

Speaker 1 (30:05):
Own person in. And so that's I think that's why
he's quiet.

Speaker 7 (30:09):
I think he's quiet because he's kind of like, I'm
not going to ruffle anything on right now.

Speaker 5 (30:12):
Yeah, and to.

Speaker 1 (30:13):
Figure out who's going to own this stuff.

Speaker 4 (30:16):
I don't know.

Speaker 1 (30:16):
He doesn't own this stuff, you know.

Speaker 7 (30:17):
Right there's a rumor that he put all his friends
in so they could all get a big paycheck because he.

Speaker 1 (30:24):
Didn't know how long he was going to have when
he started.

Speaker 6 (30:27):
It just reminds me of that whole scene from I
think It's Infinity War where it's like talk to Danos
and so you took everything from me.

Speaker 5 (30:36):
You're like, I don't know who you are.

Speaker 6 (30:38):
That's that's how I feel this kind of dale is
going down.

Speaker 1 (30:42):
It sucks, man.

Speaker 7 (30:44):
I've been monitoring it myself like a little bit because
I'm so curious to like, you know, if they acquire it,
it is a massive move, you know what I mean,
it's it'll make.

Speaker 1 (30:53):
Them as big as Disney if I'm not mistaken.

Speaker 2 (30:56):
Yeah, it's it's up there.

Speaker 5 (30:58):
It is your acquisition.

Speaker 1 (31:03):
Now.

Speaker 3 (31:04):
I mean the latest total I'm seeing is like seventy
one billion.

Speaker 2 (31:09):
Is that?

Speaker 3 (31:09):
So a little bit of background, Like the latest thing
is I guess a joint venture between Paramount some Saudi
investment fund. This isn't like I mean, it might be
associated with the royal family over there or whatever, but
it's a it's a Saudi fund and then someone else where.

(31:32):
The Saudi fund and this other organization contribute twenty percent
I guess to purchasing and then with Paramount handling the rest.
So they would be I guess the majority stakeholder in
all of this. And like that amount is leaps and
bounds above what current market value is for their stock.

Speaker 1 (31:54):
So control.

Speaker 7 (31:56):
Yes, it's an unlimited resource move. Financi actually as well.
So if these movies come out and they just break even,
you're not really gaining big profits. You need It's the
same thing Marvel Comics did by selling to Disney. You
need someone to come in and get you out of
the debt so that you can keep growing and going.

(32:16):
You need a new sugar daddy, Ye sugar daddy situation.
I don't know if it would be good or bad.
I'm just kind of calling it as I see it.
Marvel has been bankrupt as a comic company over and
over again for decades. Yeah, Disney. Selling to Disney was
not to give us all this entertainment. It was to

(32:37):
save the characters and everything they build, which now gave
us all this entertainment. But it was it was it
was to save them because they were going away. So
this is probably what they're looking at as well as
Warner Brothers. We're gonna fucking go on. Somebody with a
lot of money, with unlimited money, please come play with us.

Speaker 3 (32:57):
Yeah, I was trying to jump the gun on this.
I guess that's a pun.

Speaker 2 (33:03):
They were trying to jump the gun on this.

Speaker 3 (33:06):
Early because I believe it. I don't know if it's
today or tomorrow, depending on when you're listening to this,
but there were I guess, non binding offers that they
could put in there. But now Warner Brothers is actually
going to just be auctioning to essentially the highest bidder.
So they're going to launch a formal auction, which now

(33:29):
puts Comcast, Netflix, everybody else in the mix because they
didn't take this I guess initial offer from the Paramount group.

Speaker 1 (33:38):
That first one before this out. He's got involved.

Speaker 3 (33:41):
Yeah right, Actually I read somewhere they turned it down
like three different times, so it might.

Speaker 2 (33:46):
Have been it was the latest one.

Speaker 1 (33:48):
Turn it down.

Speaker 7 (33:49):
So the fact that they're going to go to auction,
I don't know, like I'm not a finance guy or
know this up, but it seems like a desperate move
and so it's probably like, yeah, whoever has.

Speaker 1 (33:59):
The most amount of frick and money? I couldn't get this.

Speaker 3 (34:02):
But this might also mean remember back they were talking
about just spinning off divisions like Discovery goes here. Yeah, yeah,
w B here, you know, d C can go somewhere.

Speaker 4 (34:14):
Yeah.

Speaker 7 (34:15):
It's funny that they're for sale too, because with the
struggle that they've had to like to you know, position
themselves like a Marvel Disney. You know, they've they've they've
started there were so many times, like you said, features,
so it's like they need someone to come in and
bring a lot of loot to like you know, go
do this right because we can't seem to do it.

Speaker 4 (34:35):
Yeah. I think, honestly, the win my only gripe with
with this acquisition or merger or whatever it will be
is the change. Like I don't I don't need like
another change two d C to the d C U.

Speaker 1 (34:54):
Like I'm with you, I don't want it either.

Speaker 7 (34:57):
I mean, I like Gunn as a creator, and I
think a lot lot of people have really enjoyed most
of what he's done, whether it was like blockbuster successes
or not. I think you don't see a lot of
people complaining. You just see more people enjoying kind of
what he's done. So it would stuck to see him go.
But doesn't his contract expire around the same time this
sale is happening as well.

Speaker 1 (35:17):
I thought I saw something about that, but you always
can reap.

Speaker 2 (35:20):
But I don't know. I feel like he had like
a ten year thing.

Speaker 6 (35:24):
Yeah, yeah, I thought, we don't know for sure.

Speaker 3 (35:30):
I mean, we would do this conversation any justice if
we didn't also bring up, since the Saudis were in
talks here, that now Snyder would be back and finish
his vision.

Speaker 2 (35:44):
Do we all want that?

Speaker 4 (35:45):
Or I mean absolutely not no, No, I.

Speaker 1 (35:52):
Don't think he can right now.

Speaker 7 (35:54):
Yeah, you know, you've got clay Face, You've got Penguin
season two, You've got you know.

Speaker 1 (35:59):
Tomorrow, Supergirl. Yeah, there's a lot going on to be
disturbing too much right now. I mean, it won't happen, but.

Speaker 5 (36:07):
And for it to be so quiet with everything.

Speaker 1 (36:09):
Yeah, yeah.

Speaker 4 (36:10):
Honestly, I would say if if, as a fan, you
think Snyder's vision or the Snyder Verse is better than
what we've got coming right now.

Speaker 3 (36:26):
Careful, careful. They'll come out of the work three times.

Speaker 4 (36:33):
I don't know what to tell you. Guys. You're you're,
you're listen. Your opinion sucks. That's all I got for
your opinion sucks. Like the Snyder Verse.

Speaker 1 (36:47):
Suicide Squad Part one was amazing, all right.

Speaker 3 (36:54):
I'm a firm believer that that the people or technological
Uh I don't know where I'm going with this, but
I think it's they just like seeing everybody else argue,
that's all it is.

Speaker 2 (37:09):
That's the Internet these days are the ones.

Speaker 7 (37:10):
That are in the theater, on the phone the whole
time at Thursday night at a premiere in a movie
that's a comic posting about how terrible it is before
it's even over. Yeah, you know, I slept outside the
game stop to get the game, you know what I mean?

Speaker 1 (37:24):
Like I got there first to ruin it for everybody.

Speaker 4 (37:26):
You see how Loney's previews were. This movie is trash.

Speaker 3 (37:32):
Yeah, let's not go too deep on that subject. You
guys have any thoughts on Welcome to Dery. I know
we covered the first two. I haven't watched any of it,
but I'm interested to hear what you guys are still thinking.

Speaker 5 (37:47):
It's getting better as it goes.

Speaker 1 (37:50):
Yeah, yeah, I.

Speaker 7 (37:54):
Won't talk about it too much, but the most recent
episode like.

Speaker 1 (37:58):
You better hold you gotta hold on?

Speaker 4 (38:00):
Oh yeah, yeah, man, I got even I'm like.

Speaker 3 (38:06):
What, you know.

Speaker 5 (38:08):
What spoiling too much? But yeah, you know that's there.

Speaker 4 (38:15):
There was a couple of things that happened. I was like,
wait a minute, is this Oh hmmm. We we got
to have like a really good breakdown show on some
of this stuff, because like, once everybody's caught off, we
could jump into it.

Speaker 3 (38:31):
Yeah, are they like rewriting cannon or giving you more They're.

Speaker 1 (38:37):
Giving you more lore.

Speaker 7 (38:38):
Yeah, they're they're expanding the lore and it's like, oh okay,
it's stuff probably is better in the book, but like
for for a TV series, like they're they're just telling.

Speaker 4 (38:48):
You and and I love how with this Lord they're
using it to to let you, to let us know that, hey,
this is all a part of this one big giant universe.
So like for the fans who are aware of was
hollering him being the the the guy in in in

(39:09):
in the shining. He's in the shining.

Speaker 1 (39:12):
Yeah, he oh this.

Speaker 4 (39:15):
Is this feels like a spoiler alert. I forget I
would say, I'm gonna say it. He actually uses the shining.
That's all I'm saying. That's it.

Speaker 3 (39:26):
Yeah, I wouldn't. Well, it is a spoiler, but it's
all over the internet. So I even saw that, and
I watched any of this. Yeah, notice I said yet yet, Yes,
you might get me on this Moscow.

Speaker 4 (39:37):
You gotta watch it.

Speaker 1 (39:39):
They're doing a good job.

Speaker 7 (39:40):
Like you're not like left being like what's going on,
or you're not left like.

Speaker 1 (39:46):
Kind of like on the edge of your seat watching
the whole time for nothing. Yeah. Right, they're delivering.

Speaker 7 (39:52):
Yeah, it's just like like what I think they're delivering
more than Alien Earth.

Speaker 1 (39:56):
Deliver quite frankly.

Speaker 7 (40:00):
Yeah, people who love Alien Earth are like, wow, man,
welcome to Dairy.

Speaker 4 (40:09):
Yeah, it's crazy, like every every every episode has a
purpose and it has a point to it and it's.

Speaker 2 (40:18):
At all.

Speaker 1 (40:20):
And it's building.

Speaker 5 (40:23):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (40:25):
I'm excited for for the rest of this season. And
we know there's at least two more seasons.

Speaker 4 (40:31):
Yep. Watching those two we're getting eight or ten episodes.

Speaker 2 (40:37):
Uh, we pulled that up.

Speaker 5 (40:43):
More episodes, all right?

Speaker 2 (40:51):
An uh oh boy, that was loud.

Speaker 3 (40:54):
Uh you got I hope you didn't hear that anything?

Speaker 6 (41:00):
Uh off topic, Stargate is getting a new show.

Speaker 5 (41:08):
Oh yeah, Amazon Prime.

Speaker 2 (41:12):
I believe do we know if oh Fallouts coming up?
Oh that starts like next week or so?

Speaker 4 (41:19):
Yes? Oow man, it's been a minute.

Speaker 2 (41:23):
Yeah that's gonna be good.

Speaker 4 (41:26):
Yeah yeah.

Speaker 3 (41:27):
I was a couple of things on our on our
plate coming up. Movie wise, I don't think there's anything
so I haven't seen running Man, haven't heard good things,
but I don't believe any of that stuff anymore.

Speaker 2 (41:39):
So right, right is what it is? Uh, buzz, you
got something going on this weekend? Right?

Speaker 7 (41:46):

Speaker 4 (42:30):
There you go, Monstermania, I would say the last time

of a kind of event where it's it's a different
kind of con where you can go to like a
comic con or or a wizard kind or something like that,
and you'll see kind of like the usual suspects, but
at the Monster Mania you see kind of like a
little merging of everything and everybody is so nice and inviting.

(42:54):

Speaker 1 (42:55):

people do that.

Speaker 7 (43:04):
But at the Monster Media crowd. It's kind of everybody
loves everything, all kinds of different stuff.
