Speaker 1 (00:18):
Oh, that's what happens when you change your instro. And
then there's features. Eh see, it's been buttery for like
a decade, that's what happens. It is time tested. And
then there's.
Speaker 2 (00:36):
Bus Weird.
Speaker 3 (00:39):
Cutting them cords.
Speaker 1 (00:41):
I love it. Well, Okay, so hopefully you have seen
our Toxic Avenger review and that's why all of us
are together today. But then i'll out of nowhere. Moscow
pops in like, hey, we're talking about news. So here
we are right after our review. And I will say
once again for all those who didn't watch it, go
see that movie. Please go see that movie. It's worth
(01:01):
your time. And I'm not saying any any more than
that because Moshkoa hasn't seen it, but Moshco's to go
see that movie.
Speaker 2 (01:06):
I'll see it you please do. I've seen the originals.
It's been a while.
Speaker 1 (01:12):
I don't think you need to worry about it.
Speaker 4 (01:14):
You won't be disappointed.
Speaker 1 (01:15):
Just go enjoy it. Just just it doesn't need You
don't need to prep for this one. No no homework, no,
no homework at all, none whatsoever. Just go enjoy, smile
my friends. You will have no choice.
Speaker 2 (01:32):
I mean, that's that right. There is a stellar review.
Speaker 1 (01:36):
Hey, that's all I do. That's what I do right here,
all right, So why are we still recording Moscow?
Speaker 5 (01:42):
Well, a bunch of things kind of happen. We want
to stay as relevant as possible and discuss some of
these newer rumors, slash news, you know, things that have
happened over the weekend. D twenty three happened, which is
pretty huge, although this year not a lot came out unless.
Speaker 2 (01:59):
You're into going the Disney World in Disneyland.
Speaker 1 (02:02):
Just a Disney fan, like a lot of Pixar stuff. Yeah,
any but he purchased afterwards. They didn't get anything special.
Speaker 2 (02:11):
There.
Speaker 5 (02:11):
There were a couple of notable things that did come
out of it from a Marvel standpoint. Also, there were
some Starfighter news that that kind of dropped right beforehand,
which maybe we'll discuss that a little bit. And then
the big thing coming out of DC right now, there's
we're getting a lot of behind the scenes shots from
Clayface which I didn't anticipate for me to be as
(02:33):
excited as I am for this after seeing some of
these shots.
Speaker 1 (02:37):
So I think it's because of the continuation. So you
you saw Superman, we saw Family Friendly, we saw Good Time,
and we saw Peacemaker and a lot of panes and
we know we're getting completely different directions with some of
that stuff. And now God only knows what clay Face
is going to be. That's true horror, right. I'm excited
for her just because he has yet to disappoints. We'll
(03:01):
say when he comes to I'm going to do things different.
And sure, if he is doing that.
Speaker 3 (03:07):
Well you've got the uh you know, the uh, the
script from the guy that that's popular in horror right now.
And I mean it's a monster movie, you know what
I mean. So they're probably gonna go all the way
in all dark.
Speaker 1 (03:18):
Well, didn't he also say like he had no he
had there was this was not on their plans whatsoever.
Just somebody pitched the idea and he was like, well,
how do we say no to that?
Speaker 3 (03:25):
Yeah, I think it's Mike Flannagan like wrote a script
and just sent it to him and he's like, yeah,
Gun has always been like, you know, we don't really,
you don't. You can't do anything without like a really
good script first, you know, And so I guess it
was that good. And if Flannagan's been knockinghim out of
the park with like Midnight Mass and he's doing like
the new Carry for Stephen King right now, so he's
hot right now. And uh, if it's a if it's
(03:48):
a horror movie, that's the guy for it.
Speaker 1 (03:50):
And we know that's true because he also said that
there was the last movie they just canceled that was
in pre production. Was they because they couldn't get a
good working script out of it. Apparently they had a
good director, good screenwriter, but he goes, look, we can't
make this movie and they and they just sorry they
were done, which is good. I think that needs to happen,
I think, and I don't think we should stay in
(04:11):
a world where we're constantly tooling scripts.
Speaker 3 (04:14):
Yeah, it's got to be written beginning, mental end and
be solid as a project that you can visualize before
you go spend all the money making it. You know,
there's a lot of urgency to like put these characters out,
build these universes, but it's pointless if there's not a
real good reason for the story to be written.
Speaker 1 (04:30):
Absolutely couldn't agree more. All right, Masco, So what's happening
on the set of Clay Face.
Speaker 5 (04:35):
I was gonna say, since our hands are already in
the clay, we might as well start there.
Speaker 1 (04:42):
There we go.
Speaker 2 (04:43):
So this week.
Speaker 5 (04:45):
Rest this week, a lot of a lot of footage
and things like that were coming out of there's this
guy on Twitter right or x right now.
Speaker 2 (04:56):
The account is egg Boy zero three.
Speaker 1 (05:00):
That's man Man.
Speaker 5 (05:02):
But the stuff that I'll show a couple of pictures
in the in the meantime. But they're over in Liverpool
right now, which happens to be the same place that
they shot some.
Speaker 2 (05:13):
Of the Batman.
Speaker 5 (05:15):
And there are also photos directly from like the courthouse
that they used, alley ways. Uh, some of the early
photos that were showing setting up like the streets, putting
up graffiti and posters, and uh, I guess Jitter's Coffee
is a huge brand in Gotham right now because they
(05:37):
were putting up that everywhere.
Speaker 1 (05:39):
They said in Superman too, didn't they? And ters was
big in the flash.
Speaker 2 (05:45):
You know what very good, call great, call good. You
know your coffee, you know.
Speaker 1 (05:56):
That's true. There was third you guys have exploded.
Speaker 5 (06:01):
Out and bad news right there. Let me pull up
show you this. So this is the area that we're
talking about.
Speaker 1 (06:10):
Okay, I mean this is else Worlds? Right? Do we know?
Or is this or is this like a Batman lived
in Gotham?
Speaker 5 (06:18):
I almost want to say, you know what, they haven't
really said that. I've I've read anywhere. But all of
this is shaping up to be very much.
Speaker 4 (06:26):
Uh. Is in continuity?
Speaker 5 (06:29):
That's what I'm I'm I don't want to say yes,
but I mean it looks like incontinuity.
Speaker 1 (06:35):
Yeah, I will put I'm I'm willing to put money
on it being Elseworld's.
Speaker 4 (06:41):
Oh wait, you know what, that wouldn't bother me if
it was. You know what though, if it is in continuity,
that would be great.
Speaker 1 (06:47):
Now.
Speaker 4 (06:47):
My my biggest thing was like, and what's the what's
the time? What's this happens? Is it before Penguin right between?
Speaker 1 (06:54):
As is a good lesson for everybody. Yeah, don't make
a bet with money before you google. Man, I'm gonna
pull back for just a second. Maybe do a quick
google that I'll make that bat because I honestly don't
know what I just agreed to.
Speaker 6 (07:15):
But aside from that, I think this is if it's
in continuent, this is also a very interesting way to
build up the Batman kind of universe, if you will,
because we've seen like the first movie, then we got
the Penguin, which was phenomenal.
Speaker 4 (07:29):
Now we're getting another villain.
Speaker 6 (07:31):
This is I think a very different and unique strategy
and how we're going about seeing.
Speaker 1 (07:36):
As they tried this fell along with Spider Man, couldn't
pull it off. They're like, we gave you Craven, we
gave you.
Speaker 4 (07:47):
They were trash.
Speaker 1 (07:50):
So we're over here going dude, the Penguin was so good,
I can't wait for Clay Face.
Speaker 5 (07:57):
So to my understanding, it's it's the same paper that's
in The Batman. But you could see like here Downtown
Club rated, that's probably the place State review Arkham Security.
Speaker 1 (08:09):
There was a continuity with the Batman that.
Speaker 3 (08:13):
Why wow, it's the cop cars.
Speaker 2 (08:16):
Now do you see this? Yeah? Right here.
Speaker 5 (08:20):
That there's a better picture of it somewhere where. Some
of this reads like that is Matt Hagen apparently.
Speaker 2 (08:26):
Who is Clay Face?
Speaker 1 (08:28):
Interesting?
Speaker 2 (08:30):
I believe that was the case.
Speaker 5 (08:34):
I mean, it could also be two face maybe.
Speaker 1 (08:37):
Well, I mean I heard was I feel maybe maybe
I'm making this connection myself, but I feel like I
heard this in an interview somewhere where it has a
a toned down substance. Feel that that's kind of what
they were going for the body horror.
Speaker 3 (08:55):
So like not a you're not going to get a
big mud guy, You're gonna get like a doctor Jeck
mister Hyde kind of thing.
Speaker 1 (09:01):
Maybe, But apparently like the actual right, the transformation is
supposed to be horrific, Like they really are hammering the
horror side of.
Speaker 3 (09:08):
This, like that that you know, Japanese body horror style
where it's like inside of you. Yes, hopefully we get
a good mix of like practical effects and CGI. You know,
I you know, I'll watch it for sure, but I
it won't age well if it's just c G I
all the time, you know what I mean?
Speaker 1 (09:24):
Like, imagine being the clay guy who's just smacking the
actors practical effects, the clay.
Speaker 5 (09:37):
Boy who's on set pretty much all of these days.
I means saying they're doing a wonderful job trying to
block the main actor from being seen, but he was
able to catch Wow, this whole uh all right, there's
a there's a closer one, but I don't necessarily want
to show it on here because it might get flat.
Speaker 1 (09:57):
Oh really wow?
Speaker 5 (09:58):
Oh yeah, I'll show you guys, you know, at a
later time. But I mean things are shaping up. The
one of the main actors from Ray Donovan is now
in this.
Speaker 2 (10:09):
I forget his name. His name is Oh god, he's
in everything.
Speaker 5 (10:15):
He's fantastic. Eddie Marson for those of you that know him.
Speaker 1 (10:22):
I'll tell you how you build up an underdog. You
get this movie comes out around the same time as
Spider Man and Doomsday and does well, you know what
I mean. That's gonna say a lot about your studio.
If you're able to compete with with a I would
argue and see maybe D list villain for Batman. Yeah,
you're not.
Speaker 3 (10:40):
Getting you know, glitz and glamour on this. This is
like gonna be a very signature film. It's going to
be very advertised as dark horror but comic book, and
there's a crowd for that, and that they'll still go
see that in the midst of seeing everything else.
Speaker 5 (10:55):
Oh, I'm gonna be there, and I don't know, hold on,
hold on two years ago, if you if you said
there's a clay Face coming out, do you think it
would come out of your mouth features it's clayface, we
have to go no way, no.
Speaker 4 (11:11):
Well, but it would be depends. It would depend.
Speaker 2 (11:13):
Like two years ago, Batman was out, so.
Speaker 1 (11:16):
Right, if you're saying it's coming out from the Batman,
all right, you got me. But if you're saying this
is DCEU clay Face, I'd be like, well, we would
have an argument. Yeah, one hundred percent were like, well,
it's going to be a darker tone, so because of that,
it might actually work. So no, we wouldn't be excited. Yeah,
your question wouldn't.
Speaker 4 (11:35):
It'd be too debasing, like we'll see it.
Speaker 3 (11:37):
But you know, I'm excited because it's a planning in script.
I mean, I like his material, and you know, if
it was anybody else, i'd still see it. But now
I'm like, actually really interested.
Speaker 1 (11:50):
You know, I'm stoked with and I don't know if
it's because I'm stoked for the DCU or if I'm
stoked for Clayface.
Speaker 4 (11:58):
I see. I think it's a little bit of both.
Speaker 6 (12:01):
I feel like, and I think I've said this before
many moons ago, that the villains. Yes, I said many moons. Uh,
villains have more. Villains have a much more captivating backstory
than a lot of heroes then, And I think it's
easier to well, I think it's easier to kind of
like write them in a in a a movie a
(12:23):
movie script where you can captivate the audience and keep
them interested. And also again there is they have a
much more appealing backstory and character because you get to
see who they are and how they become, what they become,
and and what happens afterwards, whether they're going to be
like their their lilihood being, turning into a villain.
Speaker 1 (12:41):
Excuse me sorry, how they got to be a yes,
the downfall of their characters. What you're saying, Yes, I
got you, I get you. You're not wrong. It's it's
why sequels for comic book movies usually tend to do
so well, because they can spend more time building up
the villain. They to spend as much. They just got
to go. Here's hero conflicts. Most of the movie is
going to be about how the villain gets you know,
(13:02):
it'll be like May's losing her house. But here's everything
about doc Cock. You know what I mean? Where was
Spider Man is all like, this is mostly Toby and
then Green Goblin. They do a great job of weaving
them together, but it's obviously not as much about Gobby. Yeah,
in the first one, come on, man, it's Gobby. You know.
Speaker 3 (13:21):
I remember hearing one of the big Stanley guys producers,
like like Avia Rod or whatever. In the beginning, back
in the Iron Man days, they were like, if you
want to do this right, you have to do each
character's movie separate, so then you have everything like built
and then you can put them together. So like just
dumping like you know, dumping a movie out with Batman
and like five villains in it like they did in
(13:41):
the nineties, you know, it doesn't really work.
Speaker 4 (13:44):
So you wait, wait, wait what wait?
Speaker 1 (13:48):
Wait what if? Hold on? Hold on? What if? What
if you give us the Batman, which is a grounded
version of Batman, and then you just start giving us
more subtly ridiculous things like Clayface. Right first was Penguin,
(14:09):
and we move into Clayface, then we move into maybe
mister Freeze. Then we move into just a little bit wilder,
and we turn because of Batman now being around, it
turns Gotham into the fantastical one that we know where
Batman evolves with Gotham opposed to Gotham being the thing
that changes Batman. Ooh yeah, get what I'm saying.
Speaker 3 (14:32):
What is an evolutionary thing?
Speaker 1 (14:35):
I would love it. I don't know remember what else,
but I would hold more weight for you. Yes, yeah,
it happened that way. It was like slowly turning into
and then you know what, Actually, more I think about it,
they kind of did that with Keaton, kind of because
the first two not as ridiculous. As we get to
three and four, we get what's uh second th Yeah? Yeah,
(15:02):
that kills the nipples on the costume, right, tied it
all together, Yeah, tying things together with bad.
Speaker 2 (15:11):
I was trying to look to remember, I was trying.
Speaker 1 (15:15):
To time people. Let's go to the next topic.
Speaker 5 (15:18):
I've been trying to cut this for the last five minutes.
As you just said, villains get their own movies. I'm like, doomsday,
let's dive into it.
Speaker 2 (15:28):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (15:28):
Oh yeah, that would have been a much better segue.
Speaker 2 (15:30):
Yeah that was like five minutes ago.
Speaker 1 (15:33):
Sorry, I'll see you guys. There's no professionalism on the show.
Speaker 5 (15:40):
Fun.
Speaker 2 (15:43):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (15:44):
The Long and Short of D twenty three was there
was I think it was Saturday morning. There was a
brief hour long presentation about what's coming to this or
coming from the studio, and there was a portion of
it that was dedicated to Marvel and Doom Day and uh,
you know the big thing that came out of it,
(16:04):
there was like a minute long video kind of a
montage showing I didn't actually see it.
Speaker 2 (16:10):
There was a clip.
Speaker 1 (16:11):
I don't think anybody well there was a clip out.
Speaker 2 (16:13):
There was really there was.
Speaker 5 (16:15):
A clip out there that was audio only, so you
couldn't really make it was terrible audio.
Speaker 2 (16:21):
You couldn't really make out what was being.
Speaker 1 (16:22):
So wasn't just weren't they talking over it the whole time?
Speaker 5 (16:25):
I I'm not even from what I hear?
Speaker 1 (16:28):
And then this features tell me if I'm wrong. But
wasn't they They played the footage but you had Paul Rudd, Yeah,
and not the Russos.
Speaker 6 (16:37):
It starts with the Russo's and Paul Redd kind of
interjects and goes, yeah.
Speaker 4 (16:40):
We were putting this together. We we couldn't do it without.
You were so blessed to be able to do this
for the fans.
Speaker 1 (16:45):
And you're like, yeah, Kevin's in there. Here like save them.
Speaker 4 (16:50):
So anyway, guys, it's gonna be a great time.
Speaker 2 (16:53):
I'm not laying to show anything. So go out there
and you're gonna show something, but.
Speaker 1 (16:56):
Don't, right, and then Paul and then Pa and that
works most of the time. Yeah, what I mean, you
could let you could let Paul Rudd go for twenty minutes.
People be excited about it.
Speaker 4 (17:08):
It's what's out?
Speaker 1 (17:10):
Another one that's true.
Speaker 2 (17:15):
Yeah, but.
Speaker 5 (17:17):
Earlier today meant he said you wanted to talk about
this graphic that came out.
Speaker 1 (17:21):
It was we talked about it on the show, but
we could talk about it again. It's fake.
Speaker 2 (17:25):
You talked about the Marvel poster on the Toxi review. Fun. Okay,
all right, that's fair.
Speaker 1 (17:36):
What did I say about professionalisms.
Speaker 2 (17:38):
Out the door taste? Okay?
Speaker 1 (17:41):
So, and here it is again.
Speaker 2 (17:43):
But it's definitely confirmed that it's fake.
Speaker 1 (17:46):
I don't think it's confirmed, but I think your eyes
can confirm it.
Speaker 5 (17:49):
I think it was really stupid of the Marvel copyright
down in the corner, like it looked like it was
legitimately like print, not printed.
Speaker 1 (17:56):
But let me say I could pull it back up.
Speaker 2 (18:00):
Yeah, I mean it looks good, but.
Speaker 1 (18:03):
Yeah, the original looks way better than the poster did.
Speaker 3 (18:06):
I pointed out, uh Mashkan I pointed out how you
couldn't see the Hologen light behind the sheer poster in
the sky. That light is so bright it would like
be washing behind it. But I think it's a bad layout.
I think whoever designed it, like, you know, it looked.
All the characters look placed naturally, and they usually are
(18:26):
placed on the official posters, but they're done better like
the Drew Streusen style, And this one is easily like
a fan thing because they're just cramming all the characters
in for no reason, and.
Speaker 1 (18:36):
They're all tight, they are, you know.
Speaker 3 (18:38):
The composition is it looks like they're at like their
front row at a concert, you know what I mean.
It doesn't really look like they're being held back by
whatever Loki's doing.
Speaker 1 (18:47):
Well, so this is the actual art, right, this is
the fan art, And here's the poster that everyone's saying
is legitimate. H yeah, and look at look at the
coloring around the edge, like what's it called buzz was
talking about.
Speaker 3 (19:01):
Yeah, you can't see the light through the sheer banner,
which you would.
Speaker 1 (19:05):
It looks like it's fabric.
Speaker 3 (19:06):
So you should be able to see the light behind it.
Speaker 1 (19:08):
And there's also just this other little copyright down here. Yeah, right,
this Instagram account, which you did a great job for
the fan art that it is, but for it to
be an actual copywritten Marvel poster at D twenty three,
get your out of your mind.
Speaker 3 (19:23):
Yeah it's cool, but it looks like something you see
at the beach, you know what I mean, it's.
Speaker 2 (19:27):
Something I'm laying on.
Speaker 1 (19:32):
I mean again, for just fan art, it's incredible.
Speaker 3 (19:37):
It is incredible for fun.
Speaker 1 (19:38):
But it's not it's definitely not Copyritten Marvel twenty twenty five.
No way in a world that nice.
Speaker 2 (19:45):
Try there.
Speaker 4 (19:47):
You think they just use that just the troll is
just to keep people talking.
Speaker 1 (19:51):
I don't think so. No, I think it's exactly I'm
going to say it like I said on the last one.
If you missed that, here you go. If it's just
like Robert Daddy Junior fighting with Ryan Reynolds, Oh I'm
a follow up to that. Oh thank god, Well let
me just finish the thing. It was just a tweet.
So apparently two actors were fighting on set and he
got heated because they didn't know each other well, and
one made a joke and the other one didn't take
(20:12):
it well, and then Marvel's like, should we sput them up?
And then eventually they made it up and now it's over.
But when somebody tweeted that, oh it must have been
Robert Danny Junior and Ryan Reynolds, so then everybody just
ran with it as that was the story, and no
it wasn't. It was a tweet and you're all ridiculous.
So what's the update.
Speaker 2 (20:30):
The update is and this comes from YouTuber doom Cock.
It's another show.
Speaker 1 (20:39):
I thought that was Peacemaker, so I never heard.
Speaker 5 (20:42):
I never heard of this guy, but he has a
huge following and the videos. He dresses up as doom
and does the videos. It's pretty genius. But sources say
that the altercation was actually between Wyatt Russell and David Harbor.
Speaker 2 (20:57):
Oh wow, yeah.
Speaker 1 (20:59):
Interesting because they do they did work together.
Speaker 2 (21:02):
Yeah, that was the Thunderbolts, right, yeah, yeah, I think.
Speaker 1 (21:05):
They knew each other by that. They did a press
tour together, right, it.
Speaker 2 (21:10):
Was just a shoting match. Yeah, whatever it happens.
Speaker 1 (21:14):
Yeah, it's probably not in the room, you know. Yeah,
and a lot of money at stake. So when everyone
was like, well, Marvel had to get involved. Marvel probably
got involved instantly at the moment there was raised voices,
Marvel was like, oh good Lord, get the pr people
on the phone.
Speaker 3 (21:31):
It's also every actor's opportunity to be a star in
these films, and they want as much as they can
get out of it, and so there's bound to be
tension about like you know, where their places and in
the scene and like getting the good shot, and you know,
it's easy to edge some of these characters out of
there not making waves in the news, you know.
Speaker 1 (21:50):
Well, and if you're playing Red Guardian and US agent,
you're pretty quickly on the chopping block. Like if there's
ever gonna be cannon fodder in a movie like like
Doomsday and where we know characters are probably not going
to make it to the end, I'm gonna guess the
Thunderbolts are pretty high up on that chopping block. Century
(22:11):
is the only one making that one. And even then,
you're right, they could, they could, They could do something
where they like know him where they have Doom just
rip him apart instantly, just to go this is how
powerful Doom is.
Speaker 5 (22:26):
Right.
Speaker 1 (22:26):
Yeah, I hope they don't, because we just got Century
but it's pot they look, they have they they've done
it to the halt for so long. They need a
new See, he's powerful punching bag.
Speaker 4 (22:37):
Let's get somebody else we can nerve. Won't question it in.
Speaker 1 (22:40):
