Speaker 1 (00:01):
Brad Comic podcast. Hey what's up everybody? It's Wednesday, October
twenty ninth, and welcome back to that comic podcast. I'm
your host, moshco with me Tonight today is features.

Speaker 2 (00:22):
Hello, internets, what's up?

Speaker 1 (00:29):
And baby Huey's also with us tonight.

Speaker 3 (00:31):
What's going on?

Speaker 2 (00:33):
What's going on there?

Speaker 1 (00:35):
It is?

Speaker 2 (00:36):
What's going on?

Speaker 1 (00:38):
Yeah, it's time for another fast and loose. I had
to say it. We were saying it constantly before we started.

Speaker 3 (00:45):
You were saying it.

Speaker 1 (00:46):
I guess I was another one of our rapid fire
news shows. Quick segment. Yeah, we're gonna do twenty. No,
it'll be forty, So sip act, relax, enjoy the show.
Here are a few things that we're going to be
talking about, along with some other things that we will
cover when we get to it. But first up, we're

(01:09):
we're talking a little Hawkeye that's that's been going around,
uh more DC casting. We've got the adult Energy on Universe. Yes,
we know that information dropped last week, so we we
still need to talk about it. We haven't talked about
it yet. A few other things, some Star Wars projects,
uh and then a whole slew of really quick, interesting

(01:32):
short stories that we'll we'll we'll definitely want to cover.
So what's going on? What's what's this Hawkeye season two business?
I don't know about you, but I witnessed a little
interview last week with Charlemagne and God on Breakfast Club.

(01:53):
But that's that's not where this is coming from. Where
Where was this? I don't know where it is. But
ultimately what we got out of this this screen rant
article that that popped up. He was doing his rounds.
He was talking about mayor of Kingstown. The fourth season
just dropped fourth. Yeah, yeah, there's some interesting things going

(02:15):
on with Paramount right now, with all of the Taylor
Sheridan stuff.

Speaker 3 (02:18):
But it was the interview was from the playlist Bingeworthy podcasts.

Speaker 1 (02:22):
Okay, and it was brought up, you know, will there
be a season two? You know, for the longest time,
there was information out there that this was not going
to happen Disney. I guess they positioned it as wanting
to do it, but only wanted to pay him like
half his his regular going rate or half the salary.

(02:45):
You know, obviously we all remember the accident, he went
through the recovery, everything that's happening there, and he apparently
it's back under development, and weren't they going to do
like more episodes or something.

Speaker 3 (02:59):
So he was like, gang have to pay for more episodes.

Speaker 1 (03:02):
Yeah, it was it was something really weird.

Speaker 2 (03:05):
Yeah, and he held out right, he didn't. He didn't.
He didn't go for that first off.

Speaker 3 (03:10):
Oh yeah, Well we would have season two if he.

Speaker 2 (03:12):
Did, right, and it probably wouldn't have been good. So
I'm I'm glad he held out. He deserves the money
that he's asking for or have.

Speaker 1 (03:19):
Originally he basically told him to kick kick some rocks.

Speaker 3 (03:22):
Yeah, I got rocks.

Speaker 1 (03:28):
Yeah. But with that, I mean, it's great to hear.
Everything he does is very, very good. Mary Kingstound is
a great show. I would say, everybody go see it.
The what was the the part of this? You know,

(03:48):
he he did say in at least the interview I
heard on Breakfast Club. That's kind of the one I'm
talking about because they did bring it up. As you know,
Charlemagne's huge in the comics, has his own comic out
talks about Marvel all the time. Uh, and you know,
he was kind of going through his things that he
wanted to ask and you know, basically render said he

(04:13):
he has a lot of not necessarily rehabit like working
out more in order to kind of be able to
physically do it. You know, he said he's about halfway.

Speaker 2 (04:23):
There, like walk around capabilities, but not I can do
my own stuns type type of thing.

Speaker 1 (04:29):
Right right, I mean, if you've seen I don't know
if we had it in a video or not. I
know we were talking, we talked about it, but he
had some videos showing him running. Yeah, now you know,
he was using a cane for a while and he
started running. So that's that's good to see. But even so,

(04:51):
like Marvel has a lot of leeway and how they
write these, like he doesn't necessarily have to be super
physical in the show.

Speaker 3 (05:00):
No, but it's him and he's gonna want to that's yeah,
He's he's he's gonna want to put one hundred percent
into this, so he's gonna make sure he's one hundred
and before he even.

Speaker 2 (05:11):
And he should. That's that's the expectation. We we kind
of are looking towards Hawkeye to beat his very acrobatic
hand to hand as well as using his bow and
arrow type of character. So there there is a certain
level of physicality. I think he needs to be back
at just to do some of the smaller things at
the very least. Uh, Like, have you ever shot a

(05:32):
bow and arrow before? It's like not the easiest thing
in the world.

Speaker 3 (05:37):
It's easy to shoot accuracy.

Speaker 2 (05:42):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (05:42):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (05:42):
And it's honestly, I think if not if when we
get this season too, well guy, because that's what I'm
making on. I want a season who deserves one. I
think he should still have Kate Bishop in it. I
think it's just absolutely, absolutely absolutely, and I honestly I
don't think we have talked about it. But maybe maybe
they tried to lowball him first because maybe they wanted

(06:04):
to pay uh, what's her name, Haley Seinsfeld a little
bit more. Maybe they want to make her the mame
because it's it's a Mantle type passing show at least
it's what it comes off as, because she would throw
a new Hawk guy.

Speaker 1 (06:19):
Yeah, we're getting to the point in the year where
it's it's rewatch time for old guys. So yes, we
got our Christmas show, absolutely.

Speaker 2 (06:33):
And it has that staying power every every Christmas season,
so that they they they should pay the money, and
they do need to do a second season just off
of that alone.

Speaker 1 (06:40):
Yeah, I mean, chances are a lot of this is
going obviously leading into the next phase. But you have
you know, Young Avengers that has been getting floated around,
West Coast Avengers that have been floated around. So you know,
it's only right that this it was such a good show.
We'll leave it at that. Yes, yeah, it's good. It's

(07:03):
more it's good to see him talking about it.

Speaker 3 (07:07):
So I just hope they don't like Hawkeye is a
contained show, like we said, we can, we can rewatch
it every year. I hope they don't make season two
just a setup show for Young Avengers, West Coast Avengers,
all these different things, which I fear they might making
a self contained story. Again, it could.

Speaker 1 (07:28):
Lead into it request when Vision Quest comes out and
we see how that unfolds, and you know, is it
just a stepping stone to the next thing, or is
it its own very good story or you know it's
it's uh, oh geez, when you have three movies, it's
a trilogy, thank you. It was escaping me. I mean,

(07:52):
it's it's the third show in the trilogy of Quandavision
Agatha and so wow, I'm surprised that didn't come to mind. Quickly.
I don't know, are we done on that one? Yeah,
I'm sure we've.

Speaker 3 (08:11):
Let's move on to what I want to talk about.

Speaker 1 (08:13):
Yeah, lead us into this one.

Speaker 3 (08:17):
So it came out last week that we are going
to get a adult animated Energy on Universe cartoon done
in the style of uh, well god, I'm blanking out Invincible,
thank you. See that's what we do around here. We

(08:39):
help you shut the out. So it's gonna be done
in the like the Invincible style, like you know, graphic
and all that kind of stuff. Hope, hopefully it's to
look on the Amazon Prime or something like that. But
Joe Henderson is the writer from Lucifer, the the TV show.
He has been tapped as the showrunner and he's gonna

(09:00):
be writing it. So cool. So this is going to
supposedly tie in g I Joe, Transformers, and Void Rivals.

Speaker 2 (09:11):
That's a lot it is the comics.

Speaker 1 (09:15):
The comics are doing it well.

Speaker 3 (09:16):
So comics are doing it well individually. Void Rivals is
sprinkling in some stuff. G I Joe sprinkles in. Transformers
just started sprinkling some more into it. So that's I'm assuming.
I'm assuming this will be about an hour show. Okay, Yeah,
but that's a lot to even cram in in an hour.

(09:38):
So are is it going to be their own direction
or are they going to adapt the sky Bound comic?

Speaker 1 (09:44):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (09:45):
I hope they are adapting the comic because we like
those stories as is right now, but if we.

Speaker 3 (09:49):
Can correct But that's but that's a lot to sprinkle
in in an eight six eight episode one hour each season.

Speaker 1 (09:58):
I mean right out of the gate. If you're having
all of it together, that's I mean, like, we'll get it,
we'll understand it. Right. Let's say we grew up with
the stuff and we're reading it. But for people that
haven't touched these titles.

Speaker 3 (10:19):
Well, and that's why I think that this will be
solely directed at the fans of the comic.

Speaker 1 (10:25):
HM.

Speaker 3 (10:26):
So yes, if they gloss over a few things, it
might be okay. I mean they've I know more about
the Infacible comic, Like they're menting stuff and I know
they've lost they've gloss over stuff in the show. Yes,
I'm fine with it, you know.

Speaker 2 (10:41):
So yeah, I mean that's always the thing though, when
you're you're going from those two mediums book written to
to screen, it's you can't have everything that you would
in a book, which is like, while we always have
uh debates of what was better the book or the movie,

(11:02):
the movie or the book, it didn't matter what, like
what property it was, if it was a book first,
and then the movie came after, everybody's like, nah, the
book had this part and they didn't put that in
the movie. And sometimes it's just for cut the fat reasons,
which I get and I don't. I don't think that
bother me too much, Like we gotta we gotta let
some of that stuff slide people. People should be more
understanding of that. Like for movies and the sake of

(11:25):
attention spans, it has to be a certain length of time,
right as opposed to a book. You you've already committed
to reading this book, you're gonna spend xmut of time
doing whatever to finish it.

Speaker 3 (11:35):
So I just worry. I just worry about them spending
time with each character and getting character development and not
trying to shoehorn things in and and cut things because
of time. But now you're cutting things that maybe they
should have kept. That's that's my only problem with it.

Speaker 2 (11:51):
I see what you mean. I think in those instances
they'll just stick true to like the main characters, like
fleshing them out, Like we don't need to know the
history of every auto boat unless it it's it, Uh,
it's intended down the line, So I just need uh
Optimus Prime, bumble Bee. Why you guys are here?

Speaker 3 (12:15):
All right?

Speaker 1 (12:16):
Cool?

Speaker 3 (12:16):
We ain't We ain't gonna get bumble Bee. We're gonna
probably get Bombee dead again, like it wasn't issue one
spoiler for two years ago.

Speaker 1 (12:26):
Yeah, it's funny, like you guys we were talking about it.
I'm thinking, man, right out of the gate, we're already
poop pooing this and the upside to this is so
huge and we should be it is extremely happy about
it and not already starting the nippick stuff.

Speaker 3 (12:42):
I mean, look, we're getting we had the Skybowne comic,
We're getting a Skybound animated show. We're getting which Moscow
you and I talked about the other week, the skybown
Optimus Prime. So we're even getting toys now. But I
will say, maybe they'll do it, like each episode focuses
one episode on Transformers, one on g I Joe one
but but but regardless with Transformers in general. Right now,

(13:07):
there's so many different things, like we have an adult show.
There's a kiddy show on YouTube right now. So like
every couple of years, Transformers reinvent itself to focus on
a different age group. So even if it is this
isn't your you know, they say't my Transformers. Your Transformers
are coming yeah, or your kids Transformers are out right now.

(13:31):
So Hasbro usually does a pretty good job with covering
all the basis for all the gage groups.

Speaker 1 (13:38):
Yeah, if it does, yeah, I mean the upside is huge.
If it does well, that you might get your loan
Transformers show and your loan g I Joe. Maybe they'll
mix in a little mask. I don't know, we'll see them.
I'm not huge on crossovers, but I've been okay with this.

(14:01):
It's been great in the book, so we should we
should be And it's animated like on paper, I should
hate all of this.

Speaker 2 (14:09):
Yeah, I'm looking at it like your face is actually
excited and you're like it's animated. I'm like it is, Yeah,
this isn't.

Speaker 1 (14:17):
Your thing, I think because what my first my first
exposure to all of it was animation.

Speaker 3 (14:24):
Right, and you rewatched a Gi Joe cartoon.

Speaker 1 (14:26):
So yeah, there's a YouTube channel with all of them
on it. They used to be on free Form at
six or six thirty in the morning every day, like
it would just show. They always played the Viper one
where yeah I am the Viper. I can't come to

(14:47):
vipe your videos to be has all the or.

Speaker 3 (14:51):
Free v one of those apps now has all transformers
all Gi Joe.

Speaker 1 (14:55):
Yeah, it's probably to be all right, Well, we're all excited.
We could prob I go on for another hour at
least on this. Yeah, favorite episodes, favorite characters, all that
good stuff. Yeah, let's uh, let's move over to a
little little DC stuff here. This is coming from This

(15:16):
is actually an exclusive from NeXT's Point News. They do
some really great stuff over there. But I guess the
description for they're getting ready to cast the villain in
Man of Tomorrow, Well yeah, I mean we we pretty
much think that. But the one thing it's it's laid

(15:39):
out that the they need an actor with a strong
build in stature, uh, makeup and prosthetics. We're going to
be involved the green skin technological enhancements. I mean, yeah,
that's brainiac right out of the gate.

Speaker 3 (15:57):
I don't think I don't personally think brainiac. You know,
big I think it's more scrawny.

Speaker 2 (16:03):
But so listen, if it's big and muscular or bulky,
then maybe Matallo maybe.

Speaker 1 (16:11):
Well there's the other speculation. This is a Mongol. You
guys familiar with Mongol? Yeah, I'm not, so I'm going
to read this. Mongol was created by Lenn Wayne and
Jim Starlin and debuted in DC Comics Presents Number twenty

(16:31):
seven in nineteen eighty. Mongol is a powerful alien warlord
who rules war World. That's a tough sentence to say,
right there. Mongol's sister, Mongal, appeared in Suicide Squad and
twenty twenty one and portrayed by Oh so she was
hold on, Might have to pull that up. So Mongol's

(16:56):
sister was in the twenty twenty one the Suit the
Suicide Squad.

Speaker 3 (17:03):
Oh yes, she's the one that got killed right in
the beginning.

Speaker 1 (17:07):
Interesting, So maybe a little revenge coming.

Speaker 3 (17:13):
If that portion of Suicide Squad is canon? Of course,
because we're picking and he's picking and choosing what he wants.

Speaker 2 (17:21):
Wait, the Suicide Squad, that's that's James Gunns right right.

Speaker 3 (17:25):
Correct, But yeah, he's even still picking and choosing what
he wants. From that movie, m.

Speaker 1 (17:31):
Yeah, I mean take it with a grain of salt.
It's a cast casting posting thing. I don't know. Apparently
there's I don't know a ton of this, but in
Hollywood there's this graph of projects that are coming up
and people that are getting cast that there's a uh.

(17:54):
I guess agents pay for it or something, don't. I
don't know the major details. That's where a lot of
this information comes from. There's just these these spreadsheets of
ship that.

Speaker 2 (18:07):
A draft day for for Halloween, Hollywood movies for practice.

Speaker 3 (18:11):
Yeah, if you want to if you want a good
episode with a mongol in it, Justice League Unlimited for
the man who has everything. Basically in that episode, he
puts one of the oh I wrote they are the
things attached to you on Superman and he's dreaming of

(18:33):
like how he could have lived this world of Krypton
to explode and all that kind of stuff.

Speaker 2 (18:38):
Okay, okay, I remember that episode. I can't remember exactly
what that thing was called, but I remember that episode.

Speaker 3 (18:43):
It's like Storrow, but it's not Starro.

Speaker 2 (18:44):
For Yeah, It's it's very similar. It's almost you can
almost compare it to uh to the Silver Surfer in
a way when like when he was trapped on battle
World with the Hulk. Battle World. Uh, plant, I will
just call it Planet Hall for the topic. But they
had these little discs that they put them and they

(19:06):
keep them in line, whereas with a difference with Mongol
and Superman, he put them to sleep. Probably more comparable
to was it Batman animated series with the Mad Hatter
when he had him sleep for the whole episode and
you had to jump off of the clock tower to
wake up.

Speaker 3 (19:26):
The Black The Black Mercy is what I'm thinking of.
It's a little purple and black looking thing.

Speaker 2 (19:32):
Okay, yeah, I mean it could be a good concept
to go with if if they if they use Mongol
for for the Man of Tomorrow. But uh, I thought
he had yellow skin. It was more like a pale yellow.

Speaker 3 (19:45):
It's yeah, you think you're it's a little more yellowish, yeah,
green yellow, you know.

Speaker 2 (19:51):
And that's what I mean. Like with so when they
say green, well, green skin with Matilla Mattella Matalo, you
could uh kind of bring Kryptonite in with him and
use that for the green or green shine off of
his metal skin.

Speaker 1 (20:07):
Let me let me rephrase something really quick. It didn't
necessarily say I was reading the article wrong didn't necessarily
say green skin. It just said, uh, makeup to maybe
produce green skin, and then later on they could makeup
could also be used to make yellow skin.

Speaker 3 (20:26):
Really so yeah, so yeah, that's what a couple options.

Speaker 2 (20:34):
Parasite, that's purple.

Speaker 1 (20:38):
Something we I'm putting the pin in it. Something we
didn't talk about. Yeah, but the whole the whole DC
or I'm sorry w B. Yes, we never really did
discuss what that means for d C.

Speaker 3 (20:58):
It could mean a few different things.

Speaker 1 (20:59):
Actually, I think it's not gonna make a damn difference
for it. So the prod or the studio will change
hands at some point. I don't think it's gonna affect
anything that's going on with James Gunn.

Speaker 3 (21:16):
Not initially if the movie starts sucking. And yes they
will make a change if they're doing well, money's coming in.
Let's there's no reason to change it. But also too,
one of brothers that even came out and said by
us all by pieces, by what it's Alec Hart basically,

(21:37):
so the studio might not get sold, right, so you know,
who knows what's gonna be sold? What is what's not
gonna be sold?

Speaker 1 (21:47):
Yeah, I know, I think it was Paramount came back,
so initially they didn't agree to the terms of whatever
that that sale price was going to be. They came
back with more, you know, X amount of dollars on
top of the stock price, which I believe they still
turned down. This is still for like everything. They didn't

(22:10):
get to the a la carte part yet, the pick
and chooser, you know, like we do with all of
our subscriptions.

Speaker 2 (22:19):
Were a studio at this point, right.

Speaker 1 (22:23):
All for everything right now WB, the Hole Kit and Kaboodle.

Speaker 3 (22:27):
But they also said they're open to different things.

Speaker 1 (22:31):
Yeah, okay, so that's you know, it's no idea what's
going to happen, really, no idea where they're going to go.
I mean, it could be the I mentioned Taylor Sheridan earlier.
You know, he's the guy that wrote basically all the
shows that are on Paramount Plus so Yellowstone nineteen twenty three,

(22:53):
eighteen whatever, Mayor of Kingstown. I think he wrote Sacario
to the movie. But we won't talk about movies. So
his his contract with them, it's done and he's not
they're not renewing that contract with Paramount Plus. So he's
basically a free agent. So with Paramount losing him, they're

(23:20):
gonna need something to attract people back to their products,
because I mean, the guy doesn't lose with what he
you know, is attached to. I think he's even associated
with Tulsa Kings and Landman. I think he wrote Landman
so far behind Tulsa Kings, me too, I have to
catch up. But you know that frees up a lot

(23:43):
of well frees up some money. But I don't think
that makes a difference when you're buying a studio, But
they need something to put on that platform. I think
that's why Paramount might be moving for this A little
bit sidebar on that sound. Looks like Universal is going
to pick up Sheridan, So maybe he'll write the next

(24:05):
Fast and Furious. Just kidding folks, and please, yeah, fast
and loose that's the name of this episode. We won't
put that in there. But again, we didn't talk about it.
And you know, it's interesting. There's a lot of people
out there saying like he's gone as soon as as

(24:27):
soon as that happens, he's gone.

Speaker 2 (24:29):
Those those have to be people that just want him
to be gone or just not happy with what's going on.

Speaker 1 (24:36):
Yeah, well, the thing I can't wrap my head around
is people are saying that Superman failed, yet it had
one hundred and twenty five million dollar profit. Yeah, it's
not a huge profit, but it's a success.

Speaker 3 (24:48):
So you do what they thought it should do with
a failure.

Speaker 1 (24:52):
Those days are over, folks. Billion dollar movies are one in,
you know, one hundred just doesn't happen anymore.

Speaker 2 (24:59):
I think people also just gotta they We really gotta
relax on what your personal expectations of a film should
be and just go enjoy the film when it comes out. Right,
we been we we we talk about these things. We
get excited for them all to get to the theater
and come back like get trash. Why why why hype

(25:22):
yourself up for that? Don't go into it with expectations,
go and say, all right, I hope it's good. Prayerfully
it's not bad. You know what I mean? We people
do too much when it comes to that. I need
them to stop, because this is this is where the
majority of bad reviews come from, because of overhyped expectations.
It's like, just chill out, relax. We're doing it to ourselves,

(25:45):
it really are. We gotta stop.

Speaker 1 (25:50):
I'm with you. I'm sorry, you do pedestals nice. I'm
more of a soapbox guy, but she's pedestals cool. Uh
all right, let's uh, I guess we'll do a little
rapid fire stuff here. Let's wrap this up. Yeah, some

(26:11):
rapid fire. Wrap it up with rapid fire rogue squadron.
Remember that, Yeah, Disney plus thing that was potentially going
to happen, and then they scrapped.

Speaker 2 (26:23):
It, and is it going to happen?

Speaker 1 (26:24):
It may come back. Okay, Yeah, that's that's about it.
We're not going to dive too deep into it because
it's honestly not a huge, huge story that that hit yet.
Yeah something that is killing the children live action movie.
You guys reading that book because I'm not.

Speaker 2 (26:44):
I have not a lot of issues of it. I've
read at least one and two of them. It is
a really good book. I cannot break it down to
you right now because it's a lot. But if it,
if it comes out as a movie, it's interesting and
it would be like Stranger Things.

Speaker 3 (27:01):
I won't read the book, I'll watch the movie.

Speaker 2 (27:03):
No, I mean no, no, definitely read the book because
the book is homework.

Speaker 1 (27:07):
I'm just gonna like twenty issue twenty some odd issues
something like that, more than issues.

Speaker 2 (27:13):
Yeah, it was it's way past twenty. It's way past twenty.
That book is good.

Speaker 1 (27:17):
I mean, is is the the title pretty much the plot?

Speaker 2 (27:22):
Yes, okay, yes, and like again it's it's it's a
lot like Stranger Things, but with this hmmm, I'm trying
to I'm trying to think of a way to to
a good analogy for the for the protagonist of the story,
and it's it's kind of not I don't have it yet,

(27:43):
but the Stranger Things is the base. We'll put it
like that.

Speaker 1 (27:46):
Well, we'll get Lance to do a breakdown.

Speaker 2 (27:49):
Yeah, we're gonna actually definitely have I'm pretty sure.

Speaker 1 (27:52):
He actually, well he's talked about he loves that book.
That's was reading a little bit of it too. I
although the title is kind of up my alley. Ah,
you guys are killing me. The what's that show?

Speaker 2 (28:16):
I mean, yeah, it's it is, it is Stephen King's it.
Welcome to Dairy is pretty much the kind of kind
of like the origin tale of of penny Wise the Clown.
It just like the previous movie, but this is a show.
It does follow some children in the town of Dairy

(28:37):
as well as a few adults. But man, it's uh
this this first episode is really good. It can be
a slow burn, so I can understand if somebody, if
if people are like not like really excited about it,
it is a little bit of a slow burn. But
there's there's there's a lot of backstory and lord that

(28:58):
goes into Penny why is the clown? When it comes
to Stephen King's novels, like, it's a lot. But man, uh,
create h. We're doing spoilers because it's hard for me.

Speaker 1 (29:11):
To talk about these things, and I wouldn't. I mean,
this is just the okay, little rapid fire of I
mean it came up in general conversation, so it's fine.
But I want to say we want to do something
after the second episode comes out. I think that popped
up in our little planning stage. Okay, yes, I know

(29:33):
some people want to talk about it one show and
not to We're just gonna move on though show.

Speaker 2 (29:41):
I would say, it's worth the time.

Speaker 1 (29:43):
Worth the time, Okay, So check out the first episode, everybody.
We're gonna be talking about the second episode once it airs.
Somebody's gonna comes out on Halloween, I believe. So yeah,
so maybe a couple of days later or the next day,
we'll have something about that. It's been lanterns. Remember when

(30:04):
we first started talking about that, I'm like, I hope
this is just a buddy cop movie. It looks like
a buddy cop show. Well they've actually said it's a
buddy cop show. We kind of figured that.

Speaker 3 (30:15):
Yeah, you know.

Speaker 1 (30:18):
What else, This kind of just came across the desk today. Yes,
brand new, So mister Bendis might be returning to pen
a new secret Marvel title. We don't really know what
it is yet, but a couple I believe a couple

(30:39):
of things did end their run, Daredevil beaning one of them.
But from what I'm reading here, most of it everything
is kind of pointing toward Avengers. So it's possible he
might be writing the next Avengers run and they're.

Speaker 3 (30:55):
Getting ready to hit issue eight hundred.

Speaker 2 (30:59):
Yes, they need to go. Have you seen a new
good story you have to go to with the Avengers?

Speaker 3 (31:03):
So yeah, have you seen the cover for eight hundred?

Speaker 2 (31:07):
No?

Speaker 1 (31:08):
No, so you're about to that's the legacy numbering, right, yes?

Speaker 3 (31:13):
Correct?

Speaker 1 (31:13):
So what's in there they're up to like thirty something? Maybe?

Speaker 3 (31:17):
Yeah? Wow, this has like every Avenger ever on it?

Speaker 1 (31:22):
Yeah, pick and choose. Wow, all right, everybody, everybody in
the chat, let us know who your favorite Avenger is
from this picture?

Speaker 2 (31:33):
Yeah it was. I haven't seen since that was like
a little big boy. That's crazy baby ball oh boy fun.

Speaker 3 (31:46):
But yeah, it's Yeah. So the rumors he maybe they're
coming off right after this or.

Speaker 2 (31:53):
Storing it.

Speaker 3 (31:54):
Yeah, yeah, issue number thirty four and it's coming out
in January.

Speaker 1 (31:59):
Cool voice. You know what else is coming out in January?

Speaker 2 (32:03):
What's that?

Speaker 1 (32:05):
Not Clayface? But that did wrap this week. They're they're
on schedule. There, Uh, one more thing and then we're
gonna end this because now we're going long h Doctor
Who and Disney split up. Who knew? Not me?

Speaker 2 (32:26):
You know what could be good, could be bad. I
want to say it might bring some of the old
Doctor Who fans back me as a more so of
a newer Doctor Who fan. I can understand some of
the gripes people had with the Disney the Disney shows
version of Doctor Who. I guess it's all right, but
it's you know, it didn't.

Speaker 1 (32:48):
Want to hit a higher octave next time.

Speaker 2 (32:53):
I didn't. It didn't hold up to what what some
of the fans really watched Doctor Who for and I
understand that.

Speaker 1 (32:58):
So what two people watch Doctor Who for?

Speaker 2 (33:00):
They watch it for the silliness it just being Doctor Who,
the lure of Doctor Who itself. But when you start adding,
you know, certain messaging inside of the show, which you
know it's not can't it's not always a bad thing,
but sometimes it's a little heavy handed, and they're like,
this is not what I watch this show for. I
watched this show from the pull out old things from

(33:23):
the stock room and say, all right, this is the
new thing we're using this week. This beat up raggedy
glove is going to give him the ability to hold
everything up by just having it on. It's gonna glow yellow,
and that's it. It's it's a wacky show, and it's
just it's supposed to be. They use very simple props
to make them do these amazing things. You go like,

(33:46):
they didn't put any money at that, and that's all right,
it's okay.

Speaker 1 (33:51):
Take on the show. It looked like it was always
just poorly poorly produced.

Speaker 2 (33:58):
It is and that's that's the beautyful.

Speaker 3 (34:00):
And then they get money behind it and they make
good production and people go, I don't want that. Yeah,
got it.

Speaker 1 (34:07):
It's kind of like this show.

Speaker 3 (34:08):
Yeah. On that note, Mashco.

Speaker 1 (34:15):

comic podcast. I already screwed it up, but that comic
podcast dot com is the best place to find us.

Speaker 2 (35:00):
There is time wed something new.

Speaker 1 (35:03):
While this may why, while we most notably are a
comic book show where we talk about things that are
a comic book based, we do delve into the world
of horror toys, you know, basically all of the secondary
things that all of us really like and enjoy. This
is kind of our place to talk.

Speaker 3 (35:21):
I got payment out of the bet now because I
did find the venom magic, the gathering magic, the gathering,
so I get to figure he gets the card.

Speaker 1 (35:30):
We do have some content in that area too, so he.

Speaker 2 (35:34):
Just made a Spider Man deck. Incredible. We'll have words
later maybe.

Speaker 1 (35:40):
