Speaker 2 (01:23):
Got a single mom, single mother, I'm around my favorite Yep,
no poop.
Speaker 1 (01:30):
No no good. How's your hangover today? One margarita was
enough to have her bed ridden for an entire day.
Speaker 2 (01:41):
It's pretty bad. And it's ten o'clock at night.
Speaker 1 (01:44):
It's eleven o'clock at night when we're pre taping this. Remember,
we will not have a normal show for you on
Saturday Saturday. We're gonna have WTF Wednesday. This Wednesday, Saturday
is not gonna be a normal show. I've got a
guest booked, so we will have a show as long
as you know a catastrophe doesn't happen between now and
tomorrow when we're supposed to pretape. But we've got a
(02:04):
guest for you Saturday, and we're gonna air out all
the gory details of my last little brush with the
local news. So that'll be a fun time tune in
normal time for that nine. Am okay, first one here,
let's hop into this first one. Am I the asshole
(02:25):
for telling my significant other that she is not Chinese? Okay?
By significant other of a four years and I both twenty,
both in our twenties. We're having a conversation about culture.
She was born in China and immigrated to Canada when
she was a baby with her family and is very Whitewash.
She's a Canadian citizen and it has only been to
China a few times to visit. She acts the same
(02:47):
as anyone else. Doesn't have an accent, doesn't watch Chinese TVs,
movies or news. I am white. My ancestors were one
of the first. Is subtle in Canada, as traced by genealogy.
So when they say doesn't have an accent, are they
talking about doesn't like the Ching Chong Chinese accent? Because Mia,
you can confirm this. There's like a slight dialect for
(03:07):
American Asian girls, is there not? There's like a slightly
different There's just something about their voices. It's slightly different
from every other ethnicity is there is there not between
Asian Asian women in the United States. So the conversation goes,
she says, Hey, it would be nice if you learned
a bit of Chinese, and I don't want to do it.
(03:28):
I have no patience and I'm a bit lazy. At
least he's honest and tell her this. She responds, well,
it'd be nice if you did it because it's part
of my culture. Then I ask her, what's your culture?
She responds, I'm Chinese, to which I say, no, you're not.
You're white. So she's a banana like con from King
of the Hill because honestly, apart from the Chinese food
she sometimes eats, there's nothing Chinese about her. This guy
(03:49):
sounds like a dick. Jeszu, what an asshole. When she
comes over to my family for the holidays, she's the
same as the rest of the family. She did okay.
Speaker 3 (03:58):
So just because she doesn't walk in like it do
klung fu da da da da da da da da
da as soon as she enters the door doesn't mean
she's that Chinese.
Speaker 1 (04:08):
You fucking asshole. When she comes over to my family
for holidays, she's the same as the rest of my family.
What did you think she's gonna cook the dog up?
That's Koreans. She does speak Chinese to her parents from
there together, she speaks mostly English to her sibling. When
we went to university together and there were Chinese international students,
(04:29):
she did not hang out with it. Well, yeah, because
she's not from China. It's like when we go to
the pow wows, Mia doesn't show up in war paint
and start dancing oh around the place because that's not
how she grew up. That doesn't mean she's white, It's
(04:50):
not how it works. Anyway. When I told her that,
she got very upset. She said, how dare you tell
someone what their culture is or isn't. You're in no
place to say that, and it is highly offensive and
out of life. I actually, I sh'll agree with her.
This guy's a dick. I was just trying to say
that I think she's as Canadian, as white as me,
and when we're together, I don't see her as Chinese?
Am I the asshole for pointing this out there? Look,
(05:12):
there's something to be said, like everyone's kind of a
different variation of like Americanized culture. I guess in this
case Canadian there's no secret about that. But that doesn't
mean you're not the race or ethnicity that you come from.
And also, I'm a firm believer that people should keep
(05:32):
their hair itage. Just because you live in America, I mean, yeah,
you can't expect everyone else to assimilate to your culture.
But there's nothing wrong or Canada in this case, with
keeping your own culture as long as you're not trying
to force it on everybody else. I have no problem.
In fact, I actively encourage people to seek out their
cultural backgrounds. If you're Italian, if you're Chinese, African, whatever
(05:55):
you know. Bulgarian believes whatever, whatever the country is, whatever
your background is, I think you should absolutely honor that,
you should look into it, and you shouldn't let those
traditions die because the alternative. Well, yes, American culture is great.
The culture we have right now is just consumeristic bullshit
all over the West, and I think it's important that
(06:16):
we are reminded of where we come from so that
we don't get too far from those Do you have
anything you'd like to add? I thought the bitch was why,
Yeah it's muted so you couldn't hear it.
Speaker 2 (06:31):
Yeah we could.
Speaker 1 (06:32):
Sorry, No, You're good that the audience heard it. I
just couldn't. No, I saw what it was, though it was.
It's a good one.
Speaker 2 (06:38):
No. I mean I don't speak Spanish, and I.
Speaker 1 (06:43):
You know, you didn't grow up in a TP.
Speaker 2 (06:45):
Yeah, I didn't grow up in a TP. I don't
speak Spanish. But that doesn't mean I'm not Mexican. It
doesn't mean I'm not native.
Speaker 1 (06:53):
Right, so I'm Italian. I don't commit insurance fraud. Usually
that doesn't I mean I'm not Italian.
Speaker 2 (07:02):
My favorite part of this she didn't hang out with
the international Chinese international student.
Speaker 1 (07:10):
I know, well, yeah, no shit, of course not. Yeah,
let me hang out with people that don't speak to No,
absolutely not. Though I am looking kind of Italian right now.
I got the chain in the tank top on, and
I'm kind of fucking I'm being in Vegas in three days, guys,
I'm not. I'm well checked out on the dress code
(07:30):
right now that we have on the show. It's a
very strict one. By the way, am I the asses
from Blood Unicorn Valkyrie? I'm reading? Am I the asshole
for announcing my pregnancy at a family dinner knowing it
hurt my sister in law and says, h I turned
on a female recently found out how pregnant with our
first child. It was unexpected but welcome news. My husband
(07:51):
and I are thrilled. And here's the situation gets messy. Well,
she's got points with me because she's not a single nub.
My sister in law, Lena thirty one, female is my
husband's brothers life. Okay, so not directly related to me,
but we see each other at all extended family events.
For years. I've avoided her as much as I can
without making a scene. Why because she was my brother's
(08:11):
bully in high school, because he was getting There's a
whole bunch of stuff going on here. This is like
a weird love hexagon. Here vicious cruel harassment that left
lasting scars. She spread lies, humiliated him in front of
entire classes, and encouraged others to pile on. My brother
ended up developing severe anxiety and depression. He almost attempted
(08:34):
suicide during his senior year. Our family had to pull
him from school and get him into intensive therapy. He's
now recovering with his husband by his side. She never
apologized or acknowledged it, But what did he do to her?
That's the question. A few weeks ago, Lena found out
she's infertile. Apparently it was a devastating blow, and it's
been in a spiral since the family made an agreement
(08:56):
spoken and unspoken, not to talk about kids or pregnancies
around her, at least for a while. Well, when I
found out I was pregnant last week, part of me
was excited to share it. And then I remembered Lina,
Lina the blood. What did I just do? Did I
just lose it? I'm a boomer with technology, okay, it says, uh.
(09:17):
Then I remembered Lina. Come on, I know this was
extremely petty, cruel, rude and uncalled for, mean blah blah
blah blah blah, YadA, YadA YadA. So I planned it
at a family dinner with everyone present. I announced it
with a big smile, didn't gloat, didn't even look at
her directly, just set it and waited. Lena froze. Then
she stood up, knocked her chair over, ran out of
the room, crying. Her husband followed the rest of the table, looks,
(09:37):
donned my mother in last why would you say that here?
My husband didn't even know what to say. Later, I
got text fro multiple relatives calling me mean spirited and cruel.
Once said I weaponized my pregnancy. Now I'm questioning myself.
Was it petty? Yeah, vindictive probably? But was it undeserved?
I keep thinking about my brother crying in bed at seventeen,
thinking he had no future, no worth, And then I
think about Lena being the center of everyone's sympathy. Now,
(09:58):
maybe I wanted her to finally feel a fractional she
put him through, So maybe I went too far. I
am by the asshole. I don't think her brother, or
anyone and being the fact her brother's gay or any
of that really has anything to do with this. I
think it's totally irrelevant. I think you did this for you.
(10:19):
Don't hide behind your brother. This didn't make your brother
any better, It didn't help him heal. Nothing about your
brother's current situation was improved by what you did. You
were specific This was not about your brother. This was
not about you. This was about your family. You were
specifically asked by your husband and his parents and your
(10:43):
extended family not to bring this up, and you went
against their wishes. This isn't even about the sister in law.
This is about the fact you have no respect for
your husband, no respect for his family, and you're being selfish.
You're weaponizing. It's not even weaponizing the pregnancy. You're weaponizing
(11:03):
the fact your brother was tormented to make yourself feel
better because this was about a dopamine rush. How much
you want to bet you didn't even tell her brother?
What do you think? I think?
Speaker 2 (11:14):
If anything, now her sister in law is going to
get more sympathy.
Speaker 1 (11:19):
Oh yeah, like.
Speaker 2 (11:21):
Even like more sympathy points than before when she lost
like when she originally lost a baby nose. Oh yeah,
Now she's gonna get even more sympathy points. She's going
to be the center of attention even more so, just
kind of like backfired.
Speaker 1 (11:33):
Yeah, congrats, you made her feel temporarily bad, and now
everyone's going to be you know, like you said, fawning
over the sister in law, congrats, dumb ass. That's at
these impulsive people they do this shit thinking that because
it feels good in the moment, but they can't see
two steps ahead of them. She's going to be a
great parent. I'm sure. Any chance I can get to
(11:55):
be vindictive and just dunk on somebody, I'm gonna take it.
Great parent. She's gonna be there. I hope you're proud
of yourself. I'm proud of our sponsor for our final
segment here over at Firecracker Farm. If you go to
Firecracker dot farm, not dot com dot orger dot net,

to Firecracker dot Farm and use the promo code base,
you'll save ten percent off your order at the checkout.
That's your disclaimer. I'm not giving you another one. I
don't feel bad for you guys if you keep doing
this shit. Okay, last one from Sealy am I the
asshole for telling my sister that if she has a
problem with how I'm raising her kid, she can raise
(13:24):
her herself. I'm a nineteen year old male of at
home at my parents. My sister, Ruth is twenty four,
and her one and a half year old daughter, Scarlet
names change for privacy reasons. Ruth isn't exactly the greatest mother.
She does whatever Ruth wants to do, and Scarlet's more
of an afterthought for her. My parents and I are
basically raising Scarlet at this point. Okay, so here first,
(13:45):
this is I'm not even blaming the guy writing this
is the parents. The parents are enabling this. If you're
gonna sit here and bitch to me that your adult
child is doing X, Y or Z while living under
your roof. To be quite frank, I don't want to
hear about it because you're allowing this to happen. It's
like if I sat there and go, oh my god,
my stove's on fire. Look at my stove. It's on fire.
(14:07):
That bacon grease it's on fire over there, and you
just keep talking about how the stove's on fire and
do nothing to put it out. You don't even try
to get out of the house, You don't call the
fire department, nothing. How bad am I supposed to feel
for you? Put the damn fire out, do something about it.
If you're going to continue to enable your child that
lives under your root, that's an adult that you're no
longer legally obligated to care for. I don't feel bad
(14:30):
for you, says my parents and I are basically raising
Scarlet at this point, and when Ruth decides she wants
to be a mother, she gets involved. So, in other words,
whenever Ruth wants an Instagram picture, she gets involved. The
fun stuff, right. I don't love it, but I have
taken on a lot of responsibilities with my niece because
I want her to have the best life possible, positive
influences to guide her. Yesterday morning, my niece was calling
(14:51):
me or calling for me when she woke up from
a napslit of the usual routinea changing her reading to
her and getting her a snack. But halfway through a snack,
Ruth came downstairs when she noticed that given her banana,
she got mad. Yea said that I shouldn't feed her
bananas because she'll just mush them into her high chair
tray and it will be a bigger mess to clean
up later, so that it would make her life harder later,
and that I'm annoying. I told her, if she's got
a problem with how I'm caring for and basically raising
(15:13):
her child, she can start looking after her herself. And
let's face it, she probably wouldn't even be cleaning up
the bananas later. Yeah, I was gonna say. She got
mad and said that I have no right to judge
her parenting and that I don't know how hard it
is being a single parent. No, he's not judging your parenting, sweetheart,
He's judging your lack of parenting. That's the difference. He's
(15:35):
not judging your parenting. You are not being a parent.
You're being an Instagram whore that uses your child whenever
it's convenient for you to get your clout and dopamine clicks.
That's it. Uh yeah, I think your sister should raise
the kid by herself. I think the best thing you
guys can do is kick the sister to the curb,
(15:56):
make her figure it out. If she's gonna act like
an entitled brat, that's the way to do it. Or
at least start charging them rent. There's that, charging them
rent and then figure out, go here's what you do.
Take the ten daycares closest to you. The ten daycare
is closest to you. Figure out what they charge every week,
(16:16):
get an average, and then charge your half of that.
And when she complains to you, show her what the
alternative is. So you can start paying me for raising
your child, or you can get the fuck out and
pay it. And I don't want to call it daycare
professional a professional because usually they aren't. But you can
pay somebody else to do it, that's the new going rate.
Or you can start raising the fucking kid by yourself.
(16:37):
That's always an option as well. Where's the dad. That's
the quote, where's the dad at in this one? I'm
yet to find a single mother that's ever taken accountability
for her actions on this show. Every story we have
from single mothers, they are always in the wrong, always
bat They are batting a thousand. Single mothers are batting
a thousand in terms of playing the victim and being
(17:00):
in the wrong. So, no, this guy is not the
asshole here. What do you think?
Speaker 2 (17:07):
No, No, I don't think he is. I kind of
want to know, like the backstory, like what happened to
the dad? Why is she living there? Like does she
pay rent? I want to know more about that.
Speaker 1 (17:20):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (17:21):
Also, I don't understand why she was so upset because
she knew she wasn't going to be cleaning up the
bananas anyways. It was gonna be the brother that was
cleaning it out right, exactly, Lake, He's not gonna put
her in the high chair and just leave her there.
Speaker 1 (17:33):
Why even say that? Exactly? All Right, Well, that's gonna
be our show. We're going to start this new on
Mondays or on NUR midw it'll be midweek in September.
We're gonna see how I do against the spread. On
five college football games. There's only four this Saturday. Give
me Kansas State minus three, Fresno State plus twelve, Western
Kentucky minus ten, Stanford money line two and a half
(17:54):
point dogs. All Right, you've heard it there. This is
not a gambling show. We're not giving you advice. I
just want you guys to hold my feet to the
fire and we'll see how I do this year. We'll
see you on Wednesday for WTF Wednesdays. Hopefully we got
some UFOs and show. I know we got some UFOs
and ship to talk about because I save some some images.
