Speaker 1 (00:10):
Good morning everybody. This is Sean Copeland. Today is Sunday,
June the fifteenth. It is Father's Day and welcome to
another brand new, life changing edition of the ninety four
x Kingdom Driven CEO. So first and foremost, Happy Father's
(00:32):
Day to all of those fathers out there. Even if
your relationship with your father wasn't fantastic, we have a
heavenly father who loves us more than we can imagine,
and I encourage you to embrace that today. This is
a great day for reconcilement, both directions to your father
and to your children if needed, but hopefully that is
(00:55):
not needed, and you just enjoy a wonderful day of
being celebrated and loving on your kids and on your
father and maybe even grandfather depending upon your age. Today
we are going to talk about a topic called is
it too late for Jesus? We all see what's going
(01:15):
on in our world. We all see Israel attacking Iran,
we all see the No King's movement going on all
over the country. It just feels like we see five
million tornadoes occurring and natural disasters, and it's very easy
to kind of look at things and go, Okay, is
(01:36):
it too late for Jesus, and I just want to
read to you out of Mark chapter five. When Jesus
had again crossed over by boat to the other side
of the lake, a large crowd gathered around him while
he was by the lake. Then one of the synagogue
leaders named Jyris came, and when he saw Jesus, he
fell at his feet. He pleaded earnestly with him, My
(01:57):
little daughter is dying. Please come and put your hand
on her, so that she will be healed and live.
So Jesus went with him. A large crowd followed and
pressed around him, and a woman was there who had
been subject to bleeding for twelve years. She had suffered
a great deal under the care of many doctors and
had spent all she had, Yet instead of getting better,
(02:18):
she grew worse. When she heard about Jesus, she came
up behind him in the crowd and touched his cloak
because she thought, if I just touch his clothes, I
will be healed. Immediately, her bleeding stopped, and she felt
in her body that she was freed from her suffering.
At once, Jesus realized that power had gone out from him.
He turned around in the crowd and asked, who touched
(02:39):
my clothes? You see the people crowding against you. His
disciples answered, and yet you can ask who touched me.
But Jesus kept looking around to see who had done it.
Then the woman, knowing what had happened to her, came
and fell out his feet, and, trembling with fear, told
him the whole truth. He said to her daughter, your
faith has healed you. Go in peace and be freed
from your suffering. While Jesus was still speaking, some people
(03:02):
came from the house of Jyrus, the synagogue leader. Your
daughter is dead, They said, why bother the teacher anymore
Overhearing what they said, Jesus told him, don't be afraid,
just believe. He did not let anyone follow him except
Peter James and John, the brother of James. When they
came to the home of the synagogue leader, Jesus saw
a commotion with people crying and wailing loudly. He went
(03:26):
in and said to them, why all this commotion and wailing.
The child is not dead but asleep, But they laughed
at him. After he put them all out, he took
the child's father and mother and the disciples who were
with him, and went in where the child was. He
took her by the hand and said to her, to
leith the coen, which means little girl, I say to you,
get up. Immediately, the girl stood up and began to
(03:48):
walk around. She was twelve years old at this They
were completely astonished. So I want to ask you, have
you ever looked at a situation in your life and
thought it's too late? Too late for your marriage, too
late for your dreams, too late for our country. We've
all asked a question in some form, is it too
(04:08):
late for Jesus to do something about this? Well, today
I just read a scripture about someone who asked that
very question. His name was Gyros, and his story tells
us everything we need to know about God's timing, his compassion,
and his resurrection power. Jyris was a synagogue leader. He
(04:28):
was respected, powerful, and he was desperate. His twelve year
old daughter was dying and he knew Jesus was his
only hope. Jesus agreed to go, but on the way
there was a delay. A woman touched jesus cloak and
he stopped to minister to her. While Jesus is healing
one woman, Jyris gets the worst news of his life,
(04:50):
that his daughter is dead and it is too late.
But Jesus overhears and says, don't be afraid, just believe.
Let's remember that everybody. Don't be afraid, just believe. So
let's bring it home. Have you ever had someone tell
you it's too late, you'll never change, that marriage is over.
(05:11):
You're too old to start over. You've made too many mistakes.
Gyris's friends meant well, but they assume that Jesus works
only on a human schedule. But Jesus doesn't panic with delays.
I met a man in his sixties who told me
he wasted decades in addiction when he finally gave his
life to Christ. He said, I thought it was too late,
(05:32):
but Jesus use my story to save others. I've had
more impact in five years with him than in fifty
without him. Joel two twenty five says, I will restore
to you the years the locusts have eaten. You may
feel delayed, defeated, or dead inside, but God specializes in resurrection.
(05:52):
Imagine Gyros walked back to the house, people mourning, the
sound of grief in the air, and then Jesus says
something shocking. Why so all this commotion and wailing. The
child is not dead but asleep. And what happened? They
laughed at him. People will laugh at your faith. They'll
scoff when you believe your child can come back to
(06:12):
the Lord, when you believe a prodigal can return, when
you believe your family can be restored. But don't listen
to the laughter. Listen to the Lord. Verse forty one
said he took her by the hand and said Toalitha
coam the little girl, I say to you, get up. That
little girl got up and started walking. Because in Jesus' hands,
no one and no country is too far gone. It's
(06:37):
not too late for our nation. It feels like our
country is lying on the map. Division is everywhere, morale
and morals are upside down. People are shouting, canceling, blaming,
and burning out, And some are saying, why bother the
teacher anymore? Why pray for revival? Why raise godly kids
in this culture? Why keep showing up? But Gejesus is
(07:00):
still whispering. Don't be afraid. Just believe God always moves
in the darkest times, and Noah's day, when evil cover
the earth, God preserved a remnant in Elijah's day, when
beil worship reigned, God showed fire from heaven at the cross.
When hope seemed buried, resurrection happened. Hope for America isn't
(07:23):
in a politician. It's in a person. And he's still
the resurrection and the life, and he is Jesus Christ.
Second Chronicle seven fourteen says, if my people who are
called by my name will humble themselves and pray, I
will heal their land. God is never early, but he
is never late. Jiras saw a delay, but Jesus saw
(07:46):
a divine set up. What if Jesus let Jira's daughter
die on purpose so that everyone would know his power
wasn't limited to healing but included resurrection. Sometimes Jesus allows
your situation to look too far God go on so
that only he can get the glory. Think about Lazarus.
Jesus waited until he was in the tomb four days.
(08:07):
Martha said, Lord, if you had only been here, But
Jesus said, I am the resurrection and the life. Get
ready for Jesus to say, get up. You may feel
like something in your life is dead, a calling, a
hope of marriage, a child's faith, but hear the voice
of Jesus today to Letha Coam, get up, Get up
(08:30):
out of discouragement, get up out of fear, get up
out of hopelessness. Here's the question I leave with you today.
Are you letting the voice of the crowd silence the
voice of Christ? Because while the world says it's too late,
while the world laughs at you, Jesus is saying, just believe.
It's not too late for your life, it's not too
(08:52):
late for your family, and it's not too late for
our country, because it is never too late for Gesius Esus.
So I want to close us all with a prayer,
and I pray. I'm going to pray for you and
your family and our country. And I think it is
(09:13):
so important that we have faith. You know, back in scripture,
Jesus went back to his hometown and he had the
same power and he was going to heal and he
was going to do all the miracles that he had done.
But it said he had to leave there because they
(09:35):
did not have faith. So there's two sides to this teaching.
One side is it is never too late, But the
other side is we have to believe, we have to
be strong and we have to have faith. So please
bow with me this morning, dear having Father, on this
Father's Day, you have been so good to us. To
(10:00):
open this morning by thank you for being such an
amazing Father, for loving us, for never giving up on us,
for being long suffering, for having mercy, Father, for forgiving us.
For all of the things that all of us have
done wrong. Father, we repent to you. We humble ourselves
before you. We come back to you. Father. Literally this morning,
(10:25):
I was just reading about the king Manassa in Second
Chronicles and how Nasa had gone far from you, but
you had him captured. He had a change of heart,
he came back and you redeemed him and his kingship. Father,
we do the same thing today. I pray that our
country would do this, that we would humble ourselves before you,
(10:49):
just as it says in Second Chronicles seven fourteen. Father,
help us to come back to you. Father, don't give
up on us. And for those of us that are
listening today to strengthen our faith, hope to know that
when Jesus is involved, it is never ever too late.
(11:10):
We love you so much in Jesus' name, Amen, And
I'm want to thank all of you for joining this
