Why were we created? Was it to beat budget, win awards or build a bigger house? I don’t think so. It was to reflect the glory of God to a world that needs Him badly. In today’s episode, Sean talks about how we can shift our focus from us to Him.

Speaker 1 (00:09):
Good morning everyone. This is Sean Copeland. Today is Sunday,
January the nineteenth, and welcome to another brand new, life
changing edition of the ninety four x Kingdom Driven CEO.

Speaker 2 (00:29):
Today, on the.

Speaker 1 (00:30):
Kingdom Driven CEO, we are going to talk about bringing
glory to God. I have continued my reading of a
book called The Purpose Driven Life by Rick Warren, and
I am convinced that outside of the Bible, it is
one of the best books I have ever read in
my life about just why are we here? I think

(00:53):
one of the things that we are finding, whether you
look at the wildfires in California or the suicide raid
among celebrities and those who are really famous, is that
the things that we tend to strive for here can
become very very empty, and so, you know, you begin

(01:13):
to think about, Okay, why are we here. I'm fifty
one years old, and I go, Okay. One of the
things I realize is that legacy. You know, I always
thought life was about building our legacy while we are here,
but it fades very very quickly. People move on with
their lives, and so why are we here?

Speaker 2 (01:32):
Well?

Speaker 1 (01:33):
In chapter nine of The Purpose Driven Life, it talks
about the real reason we are here is to bring
glory to God. So we're going to talk about that
in just a moment, but I want to talk about
our ninety four X membership real quick. So for those
of you that listen in, I want to encourage you
to go to ninety four Xmovement dot com and for

(01:55):
a limited time, we are selling Founders members into memberships
into ninety four x their half price. They're forty seven
dollars a month, and with that you get an hour

evangelist and motivational speaker. Only for members, you get ninety

(02:17):
four x University, you get our life management app, life Guide,
you get digital or in person round tables, you'll get
access to our summit.

Speaker 2 (02:29):
I mean, it is so exciting.

Speaker 1 (02:31):
We've had awesome response, but we're not going to be
able to keep the half price a whole lot longer,
So please consider going to ninety four Xmovement dot com
and joining us. This week was really, really fun. We
obviously got back from our trip to Dubai kind of
started getting back in the flow. I got to speak

(02:51):
to a business class at my daughter's school, did a
podcast with them which was really really fun. My son
had three basketball games, which is super fun. I went
to Oklahoma City and Edmund and met with the teams
over there, which was great. We had an excellent board
meeting on Thursday, made some very very big decisions which

(03:13):
I will announce in the future, and it was just
an overall wonderful, wonderful week. This week we will have
Martin Luther King Day off. The banks are closed on
Martin Luther King Junior Day, and then the rest of
the week will be very.

Speaker 2 (03:32):
Very busy. So let's talk a little bit.

Speaker 1 (03:35):
About Martin Luther King Junior and bringing glory to God, because,
as you know, he was a very prolific pastor an
amazing speaker. When I was at DLP Capital's investor day
in Saint Augustine about two months ago, I got to
hear from family members about their lives and what they

(03:59):
had gone through to bring the civil rights movement to
the United States of America. And I don't think we
can underestimate the impact of the life of this man
and his family.

Speaker 2 (04:14):
My favorite quote of his is when.

Speaker 1 (04:16):
He talks about if you are a street sweeper, sweep
unto the glory of God. It doesn't matter what we
do every day. Everything we do is unto the glory
of God. And that is an excellent tie in and
to what I want to share with you today. First
Corinthians ten thirty one says exactly that whatever you do,

(04:38):
do it all for the glory of God. If you
think about the greatest purpose of our lives is to
bring glory to God. Yet, in a culture that often
prioritizes self glory, fame, accomplishments, and personal success, we have
to continually remind ourselves that we are created to reflect

(04:58):
God's greatness, not our own. On day I thought it
was day nine, excuse me, Day seven of Rick Warren's
purpose driven Life. It teaches us that bringing glory to
God is the very reason for our existence. And let's
look at a few ways that we can glorify God
in very practical ways and make him smile. So Number one,

(05:23):
we need to understand God's glory. Psalm nineteen, verse one says,
the heavens declare the glory of God. The skies proclaim
the work of his hands. God's glory is the essence
of who he is. It's his character, it's his power,
it's his presence. Everything in creation reveals God's glory. We

(05:45):
just went to Dubai. We get to see the desert
and the Arabian sea, and we get to see these
just remarkable feats of man. All of that reveals God's glory.
From the vastness of the stars to the intricacy of
a flower, the world around us declares his greatness. God's

(06:07):
glory is his greatness made visible. It's his holiness power,
it's his love on display. And just as creation reflects
God's glory, so should our lives. We were designed to
mirror his character in the world. If you just think
of a mirror, it doesn't produce light, but it reflects light. Similarly,

(06:30):
we don't create God's glory.

Speaker 2 (06:31):
He does that.

Speaker 1 (06:33):
We reflect it by living in alignment with His will.
So I would ask you today to reflect on our lives.
Is our life a reflection of God's glory? And our
actions and our words and our decisions are we pointing
others to Him? One of the things that I'd love

(06:55):
about sports today. There are a lot of things that
are kind of messed up about the way sports works
of these days, But one of the things I love
is that we are seeing more and more sports stars
point to God to give him the glory. When wonderful
things happen in our lives, we need to give him

(07:16):
the glory. So let me give you five ways real
quick to bring glory to God. Number One, we can
worship him fully. Matthew twenty two thirty seven says, love
the Lord your God with all your heart, and with
all your soul, and with.

Speaker 2 (07:30):
All your mind.

Speaker 1 (07:31):
Worship isn't just singing in church. It's a lifestyle of
loving God wholeheartedly. Every act of obedience, gratitude, and adoration
brings him glory. Worship isn't about rituals or performance. It's
about surrender and relationship. And we need to begin each
day by thanking God and dedicating our daily test to him.

(07:57):
Everything we do is worship to God. He notices every
good decision we make, every time we love others, every
time we give Him the glory, every time we point
to him. He is pleased by that. Number two, we
need to love others deeply. John thirteen thirty five says

(08:17):
by this, everyone will know that you are my disciples.
If you love one another, we glorify God when we
show his love to others. God's character is revealed in
our kindness and our forgiveness and in our service. We
must be intentional in our relationships. We have to serve

(08:37):
someone in need this week. We need to extend forgiveness
where it has been withheld. It's easy for us to
be kind to those that we love.

Speaker 2 (08:47):
It's easy. We talk about this a lot at work.

Speaker 1 (08:49):
It's easy to provide good service to our friends and
those people that are having a good day. But a
lot of people are struggling, and they have been treated poorly,
and they are frustrated, and they are down. They need
God's love worse than anybody. Number Three, we can become
like Christ, Tewod Corinthians three eighteen says, and we all

(09:11):
are being transformed into His image with ever increasing glory.
God's ultimate goal is to transform us to reflect the
character of Christ. When we grow in love, patience, humility,
and holiness, we glorify Him. So each day we need
to spend time in prayer and scripture, and we need
to ask the Holy Spirit to shape our character. As

(09:34):
you know, when Jesus left this earth, he left the
Holy Spirit behind that he is our primary.

Speaker 2 (09:42):
Contact.

Speaker 1 (09:43):
If you think about it, he's almost like an ambassador
between God and us, and so he is here to
help us to transform and to grow. So we always
want to communicate with him and ask him to shape
our character and make us more like Jesus Christ. Number
four We need to serve God with our gifts. One

(10:05):
Peter four ten says each of you should use whatever
gift you have received to serve others as faithful stewards
of God's grace. This is an example for me. I'd
love to teach. I'd love to learn about Jesus. I
love to learn about God. I love to teach it
to others. This right here is an example of me

(10:27):
trying to use a gift that God has given me.
And He's given all of us unique talents and spiritual
gifts to be used for His glory. Whether it's teaching, creating,
or encouraging. It might be singing, you know, it might
be marketing, it might be helping to evangelize. Whatever it is,

(10:47):
our abilities are meant to build God's kingdom. That's why
He gave them to us. Have you ever wondered why
people are so different? We had a huge, bored discussion
on Thursday about a potential acquisition that we are working
on and it's really a merger of two entities. And

(11:08):
you could just see people's different skill sets and personalities
in our discussion. We all looked at it differently, we
all had different input to provide. It's just amazing how
God has made us all different. So this week we
need to identify our gifts and ask ourselves how can
we use them to serve our church, our family and community.

(11:32):
And ask God as well. He will tell you, and
He will open up opportunities for you to use those gifts.
And then finally, we need to tell others about him.
Mark sixteen fifteen says, go into all the world and
preach the Gospel to all creation. One of the greatest
ways we can glorify God is by sharing his story.

(11:55):
When we tell others about his love and salvation, we
magnify his name. This week, focus on sharing our testimony
with someone else. Pray for opportunities to introduce others to
Jesus Christ.

Speaker 2 (12:11):
And it doesn't have to be you don't have.

Speaker 1 (12:12):
To be ultra spiritual. You just need to tell them
your story. How has Jesus made a difference in your life?
What is different now that you've accepted Him as your
savior versus before. Do you have more of a purpose
than you had before. That's all he is asking us
to do.

Speaker 2 (12:32):
At the end of the day.

Speaker 1 (12:34):
We need to live for God's glory and not our own.
Matthew five sixteen says, let your light shine before others
that they may see your good deeds and glorify your
Father in Heaven. Now, bringing glory to God requires humility.
We have to shift the focus from ourselves to Him.
There are tremendous dangers of self glory. Even though our

(12:57):
culture celebrates individuals success, self centered living leads to emptiness.
Only a God's centered life brings lasting joy. Earthly achievements fade,
but what we do for God's glory will last forever.
Just imagine a beautiful painting. The praise belongs to the artist,

(13:18):
not the canvas. In the same way, our lives are
meant to point to God, the master Creator. So today
let's ask God to reveal areas where pride or self
focus may have crept in. Commit to living in a
way that magnifies Him, not ourselves. So as we close,
I want us to just think about the joy of

(13:40):
glorifying God. Life's greatest purpose and joy is to glorify God.
When we worship him fully, love others deeply, become like Christ,
use our gifts, and share His story, we fulfill the
reason that we were created.

Speaker 2 (13:58):
This week, I hope you'll choose in one of the five.

Speaker 1 (14:00):
Ways that I just mentioned to glorify God and put
it into action. And let's just reflect on this question.
Does my life glorify God? That is why we are here.
It's the only reason that we exist is to glorify
God and bring others to Him. And we want to

(14:21):
pray daily and ask God to use our life as
a reflection of His greatness.

Speaker 2 (14:28):
And as we.

Speaker 1 (14:28):
Close, I just want to remind you of one Timothy
one seventeen to the King, Eternal, immortal, invisible, the Only God,
be honor and.

Speaker 2 (14:37):
Glory forever and ever. So please bow with me today
as we close.

Speaker 1 (14:43):
Dear heavenly Father, I want to thank you for creating
us to bring you glory. Teach us to reflect your love,
your grace and your power, and everything that we do
help us to live for your purpose, not our own.
May our lives bring honor to your name. We love
you so much, and I want to pray for all
of our listeners today that as we move into this

(15:05):
new year, that you would help us all to just
shift our focus today to be more about you and
less about us. Help us to reflect your glory. We
love you so much in Jesus' name a man, and
thank you everyone for joining this edition of the ninety
