Speaker 1 (00:02):
What it is, what are do by the world. It
is your girl, the one and only Ash Brown, and
this is the Ash Said It show over two thousand
episodes since twenty fourteen, half a million streams around the world.
None of this is possible without you, guys, So thank you,
so so very much. Today my guest is the founder
(00:24):
and CEO of Breson's Buddies LLC. She's been a guest
and she's back because they are celebrating their very first
year in business, the wonderful Zala Hey Love buck.
Speaker 2 (00:39):
Hey. I wanted to say, one.
Speaker 1 (00:44):
Year, one year, how does it feel.
Speaker 2 (00:50):
One year? I will say, if I had to give
it a theme, the theme would be a year of
learning alone, learning a lot, and not even just about
being a business owner, if I'm being honest, I learned
a lot about so many things about myself, about the
(01:12):
role I playing in my life, just so many things.
Because when you start a business, I don't know if
you think of all of the ways that the business
will affect all the different things in your life. I mean,
you need to know, you need to know, but.
Speaker 1 (01:33):
Yeah, that's definitely a big part of it. So reflecting
on this past year, what was the most unexpected challenge
that you faced as a business owner.
Speaker 2 (01:45):
The unexpected. M Well, I guess I didn't expect the
branding and marketing to be as essential as it ended
up being, or that it is today. Yeah, and I'll
(02:07):
kind of downplayed it because I'm not comfortable with social
media yet, you know, I'm in that generation that still
kind of feel weird about it. So I think I
really kind of downplayed how important and how in this
time of age, how it really really is necessary for
(02:29):
you to be successful because I noticed that I didn't
really pay attention to how building a relationship with people
before they're interested in the brain. It's kind of how
it's that it's best to work life, and I just
didn't know that. Well.
Speaker 1 (02:50):
Yeah, I mean when you start a business, there's so
much that you don't know. You don't know what you
don't know essentially, and so I think that being able
to reflect back like that and you know, really kind
of honing in on oh wow, well you know, now
I know, and now you know you're focused on it,
and now it's definitely a priority for the brand, for
the business, you know. So I think that's a big
(03:12):
part of it. So looking back now, at your initial
vision for Bryson's Buddies LLC. Let's see how has it
exceeded your wildest expectations.
Speaker 2 (03:29):
Exceeded my wildest expectations, I would say it really made
me feel like I had more goals and dreams to
kind of conquer in a time where I really didn't think,
you know, there was going to be anything new to happen.
(03:50):
So I will say that it opened me up to more,
you know, ideas and dreams. Because even though I would
say that I expected all the downs or negative size
of business, and of course we didn't make as much
as I would say we spent, which is always not
(04:13):
a good thing, but I never and I still don't
feel like quitting. Yeah, and it inspired me. It inspired
me so much to even want to do other things,
like not just the products that we started out with,
but even other products, other items. So I'm like, Okay,
(04:35):
it's given me inspiration that I didn't expect it to give.
It wasn't just another means of making money, but it
also was like a way to you know, just open
me up for other things. So it was, you know,
that's what I would say, work.
Speaker 1 (04:52):
Yeah, And so as we're talking about new products. I
want to sneak a bonus question here. Can we talk
new Are there any announcements and things that maybe possibly
we can talk about that maybe launching soon.
Speaker 2 (05:10):
So I don't have anything new launching, but it's in
the works. But I will say that in the year.
You know, from previously talking to you, when we first
did the first episode that we did together, we only
had two products and different and two different fragrances and
(05:33):
three different sizes, and then we had a sample box
and that was it. And in the fall, I decided
to come up with per fresheners, so we did that
and that was like in line with like October and
you know, pumpkin spice and all that type of stuff.
(05:55):
So we still have that, but it's more of a
seasonal fragrance, of course. But I want to come up
with some more products. Oh I'm sorry. I said I
didn't have a product, and I do, and I just
came up with it, so I guess that's why it
splited my mind. But we also came up with just
(06:16):
in the last couple of months, carpet deodorizers. Oh yes,
carpet yes, since it carp deodorizers, So I'm excited about that.
So that's another item, that's the new item for this
year that we are coming up with. And of course
(06:36):
then I want to just of course always come up
with the seasonal fragrances and just keep going. So yeah,
the conference deodorizers, that's okay, slip my mind, but yes, yes,
so nice.
Speaker 1 (06:49):
Yeah, I mean, so much stuff going on. I know,
you know, you as a brand and the company and
the team has been just working endlessly and there's just
been so much pushing and pulling and stuff. So I
was like, okay, let me try to see if I
can for a little something, see what else is going on.
So looking forward to that, definitely looking into that. And okay,
so next question I have is beyond the services that
(07:13):
you provide, what unique customer moment stands out to you
in the past year.
Speaker 2 (07:21):
So I had a young lady who lives out of state,
and when she bought the product, I don't know if
it got sent to the wrong address, I don't know
how it ended up not going to her directly, and
she was just so kind and patient and sweet and
even after all the mishaps with the you know, having
(07:44):
to wait again. I think she had to wait another
week before she got her product. She feeled it this
awesome video for us doing our review, and it was
just you know, really for me, I just felt like
I did a good job and my customer because if
I hadn't having myself away I did, I guess she
(08:05):
would have, you know, been differently about it. And so
I was just so glad that, you know, she was
very sweet and everything worked out, and you know, she
you know, of course, like I said, she's able to review.
And I don't know, but I would appreciative because again
that social media presence is no important.
Speaker 1 (08:28):
Social media. It still blows my mind to this day
how integral social media has become in just the strategy
of everything, whether you're selling products, whether you've got a service,
or you have an event coming up social media. If
it's not on social media, you know, you're gonna have
a very difficult time reaching a lot of your audience.
(08:53):
Definitely a part of that.
Speaker 2 (08:55):
And I'm just really trying to grasp that, like get
over all your you know, stage fright, and you know,
I'm to hang up that I've you know, heard from
my peers and in that nature, because it's just really
really detrimental to being successful.
Speaker 1 (09:14):
It is huge part of it. Now, as you celebrate
this significant milestone one year in business, what key piece
of advice would you offer to aspiring entrepreneurs.
Speaker 2 (09:29):
Oh man, so many things, but I'll be briefed as
possible first and foremost. Like I said earlier, when you
start a business, there are so many layers to business
that you have to definitely have your mental health as
(09:49):
close to being on point as possible because you have
so many things that you have to deal with. And
I'm a small business owner, like very small, Like I'm
the only one that does everything right now, so I
got to do that, and I work in nine to
five and I have a child that's five, so you know,
(10:12):
you got to have things on point. You know, you
got to be able to juggle all of these things,
all these acts, all these roles, and if you don't
have your mental health on point, well you're going to
start seeing the deficits in all those different roles. And
nobody wants to, you know, fall short in any role,
especially us. You know, we're super women. You know we're
(10:35):
supposed to be able to do everything. So you know,
I am not ashamed to say that, you know, I
am definitely a believer in getting therapy. I realize and
I see when you don't have it how it can
affect you. And if you want to be the best
that you can be in business, you've got to be
(10:57):
one hundred in yourself as a person, you know what
I'm saying, Spiritually, mentally, whatever, you know, all of those things,
because if you don't have energy to do the business,
then how are you going to make money? You know
what I'm saying, Like all of that stuff plays a big.
Speaker 1 (11:12):
Demp Absolutely, that is a really really good component to
say to it, because yeah, your mental health, that can
really have an effect on everything else in your life,
including your business. So I agree with that wholeheartedly. And last,
but certainly not least, what is the boldest dream that
(11:36):
you foresee with Bryson's buddy going into year two and
going in business.
Speaker 2 (11:44):
Okay, So I'm one of those believers in speaking things
that we business. So I want to think that not
only will we be upside inspired making money and not
just sending money, but also believe I also see us
(12:06):
being successful to the point that we are able to
branch out into different businesses because clearly you can only
do so much in certain products and things like that
for so long, so having different avenues to make money
and is clearly the way to go. So even though
(12:27):
I want to be as much as I can one
hundred percent with brandist buddy, I'm saying that I'm going
to have so much revenue and money from breakfast Buddies
that branching out are going to be, you know, the
next thing to be because one day I want to
be like the Lightostoke, you know.
Speaker 1 (12:46):
Yeah, yeah, I mean that's that's the ultimate goal I
think for business owners because you know myself too, I'm
still in an I defied myself, but you want to
always have the option of leveling up and really having
something that is your own and something that you're proud of.
So I absolutely understand definitely what that's going into. Wow, well, Zahla,
(13:11):
congratulations on a wonderful year of learning and triumph and
challenges and all the great things that come with being
a business owner going into your second year. So let
everyone know the best way that they can get some
more information and of course, you know, to get some

(14:35):
