How are you doing tonight? I'mgood. I just like I don't want
to rush into this. I likewhat's going on here, but it's too
hard for me to tell what isgoing on here, and I just I

just don't want to rush it.And I don't want to say the L
word when I don't mean it,and you know, it's so tough.
It is so tough. Should wenot head to veg Us just yet?
We'll just pull off the highway intoa deserted area and maybe that would really
help things out. I think so, staying at a haunted hotel and move
things along one way or another.Yeah, this was an interesting episode.

(01:02):
We had a change of scenery likewe're used to having the travel dates on
other franchises, and finally they hitthe road and the buses, which we
saw previewed last week. What didyou think of the announcement from Chris that
they're going on a tour bus.I was excited about it. I was

(01:22):
excited for a new a new view. I guess I kind of thought maybe
they'd sleep on the bus, right. They didn't. It was just like
it was just a travel thing.Yeah, I mean, how long does
it take? Like four hours,five hours or something? Thinks too far,
But it had me thinking it's alot longer than probably a lot of

(01:42):
these bachelor couples ever get to spendwith each other on a date. There's
a lot of things where I waslike, oh, we're changing things up,
and one of those was that onthe detour, Matt and Rudy ended
up staying a night at the hotelat a hotel somewhere yeah, And I
was like, oh, they're gettingan unsupervised night at a hotel. Yes.

This songs like I don't know,like the step Child franchise, like
what I want you describe it.It's like they or the cousin. Yeah,
they get a little more like permissionto do things. It's not quite
like the same. Even the peoplewere surprised that. Um like they're like,

(02:27):
oh, did you guys stay inthe same room And they're like yeah,
and they're like, what go tosleep in the same bed. It's
so funny. Yeah, it's like, um, kids are getting chaperoned and
then this they just deviated and brokethe rules. Yeah, we'll have to
get into that. Um. Butbefore they headed out, UM, Chris
Harrison talked to Bree and Chris aboutsaying I love you on stage. And

something stood out to me about whatChris said, Um, Chris on the
show, not Chris Harrison. UMthat well, I feel like you can
only like someone for so long.Did that convince you that he was really
head over heels in love? Asto why he said that other L word,
UM, I guess you. Idon't know. I feel like you

(03:14):
could like somebody forever. It doesn'talways have to regress to love, right,
No, it doesn't. Um.And then we got to see little
clips of each person on the bus, although notably absent. We didn't get
a real look at Natasha and Ryanand what they do, why they kissed
once. That's all really sat thereand we're like, okay, let's go

(03:36):
to our separate areas and get heralone. Times a couple, right,
they had a smart idea, justnapped. Yeah. So yeah, that
stood out to me before the endof the episode, and then it kind
of makes sense towards the end ofwhat happened and who got sent home Um,
So, Trevor and Jamie on thebus. Quote stood out to me.

From Trevor, he said, Idon't think anything it can come from
being emotionally safe. Do you agreewith that statement? No? I think
safe sounds pretty good. I knowI get like, I get what he's
going for, but as somebody wholeads a pretty boring safe life, No,
I'm fine with it, right,I don't need emotional danger. Oh

that sounds exhausting. Yeah, I'mexhausting enough already. I don't know,
like I mean, maybe that's whathe was trying to say, is like
he doesn't want to be with likesomething comfortable and right. It sounded like
he was trying to make like areally m meaningful quote, but maybe just

the wording wasn't quite right. Um, but he wanted more excitement its relationship.
Seems like he's developing more feelings forJamie or so he says, Um,
and they're just kind of living thatdream life. They're kind of tasting
that tour of us life and that'swhat he says wants with his family and
down the road though, Um,they're seeing something you want with your family

down the road living on a bus. Yeah, that doesn't sound that appealing
close quarters hard enough, like yeah, sharing the department, so yeah.
Um, I thought it was cutewhen they stopped at that rest stop though,
and they were he bought her likea giant plush rows. Yeah,

(05:27):
has been kind of growing on me. I can't help myself. Yeah,
enough time with them. They're gonnaforce this couple down our throats And do
you guys think they're currently together?All? Are they quarantining together right now?
No? Like there's difference there,the difference between twenty eight and twenty

(05:47):
one, is it? I feellike it would feel astronomical. Do we
remember when they were filming this.I don't think I was ever really on
my radar, Like I remember whenthey were casting it. See maybe like
November December last fall and the earlywinter. Yeah that makes sense. But

(06:08):
I feel like you and they probablystarted with this. Yeah. Yeah,
probably was like right away after that. And if they're staying at like an
event center, kind of post weddingseason would make sense too, So that
Nober makes a lot of sense.Um, Matt and Rudy, it seemed
like the episode to kind of developthat storyline. They were kind of on

the back burner until this week seemedlike and we didn't really know what where
they stood. Rudy is a lotmore into mad than he seems to be,
or at least he's acknowledging Um.So she was really excited to be
on the bus, but Um waskind of nervous. And he talks about
how he's been hurt before, gonethrough a lot in relationships and that just

makes him more guarded. Do youthink this is the right show for Um
Matt to find love on? No, But I also don't believe Matt came
on here with any knowledge of whatany of this is. M he is
the one who seems most like afish out of water. So he's making

(07:13):
maybe making a little more sense whenhe's saying like I'm not gonna tell her
I love you right away. I'mnot there yet, man. Like it
seems like here's a lot of likebeing really what we don't normally see,
like kind of more defensive in hisitms are like explaining them a little more
like, hey, don't force meto say these things. And but when
you think about it, kind ofmakes more sense. Yeah, I see

(07:34):
that a lot. I buy whatMatt's going through. Like I completely believe
that he is into Rudy, buthe isn't in love with Rudy, and
that's fair. It's been three weeksand he's looking around him and seeing you
know, especially Bree and crisping likeI love you, I love you,
and he's just like I'm not thereyet, like do you want me to

be there? Because like I can'tget there that fast. And I think
that is reasonable, right, Likeyeah, like I thought they were like
cute and flirty on the bus andit made a lot of sense, like
he's just like, I like youa lot to me, Like Rudy was
maybe freaking out a little bit toomuch, like not as maybe just by
seeing everybody else is why she startedfreaking out. But if she was just

like focusing on her own relationship,I don't think it was really warranted to
to be that insecure about it atthis point. Yeah, you know,
I think I think it's beneficial forthem to have a conversation of hey,
like is this something you want inthe long run or you can see happening
for us? And I can understandwhy she would want like a yes or

no from that or like I probablybut it's hard to tell um. But
it's hard when you're with Christ andBree or yeah, Bree and Jamie and
Trevor, where Jamie's like obviously soin love with Trevor um and it's super
familiar with the show, and I'msure t is to being an American idol
coming from reality TV. So yeah, And I would be so nervous on

this show to even like kind ofvoice with like whoever I was paired up
with, to be like, hey, should we just kind of like go
along with this for the cameras becauseit's like when can you say that safely?
Because the cameras are all around,and I feel like I feel like
the producers kind of caught onto what'sgoing on pretty early with Natasha and Ryan,
like this doesn't really seemed like avalid relationship, and we thought they'd

(09:26):
be guaranteed finals and they aren't.So I think they're focusing on the ones
who are truly have a relationship.Blooming Christ and Bree. Anything new there
on the bus that stood out toyou, I don't have anything in my
nose. They took a bunch ofpolaroids and it was like it gives her
the chills to look at them.Oh yeah, that's right, Lawrence.

(09:48):
Doesn't seem like the kind of thingI'd have on our road trip. I
don't know, like sitting on abusy content they're on a road trip maybe,
but like you're taking photo is whenyou get out of the car?
Yeah, not really on the bus, but is being the tour bus driver
for this like the worst um jobthat they would have to go on that

(10:13):
week? Do you think these peopleare trying to f in the back of
your bus? Yeah? Like isit worse to take like want to be
rock stars or actual rock stars becausethese are like, yeah, tour buses,
they probably want to take someone that'sa little more seasoned. Yes,
they're probably what is this actually for? Are these people? Um? So

(10:37):
they're Headache towards the No Bad inLas Vegas and we see a scene of
three of the couples there and thenthey're wondering where Matt and Rudy are.
And we saw Matt and Rudy getoff the bus like and go to this
bottle tree type brands, which Ithought they were going to some cute roadside
thing and seemed like maybe they weregiving them a one on one date there

(11:00):
or something, or just plan theselittle feature. That's kind of what I
thought too, And then we didn'treally see that with all the couples,
and then this couple got a datelater on. Yeah, so I don't
know, like were they paid bybottle Rams, because like they didn't really
give a ringing endorsement for this roadsidestop. Yeah. Well, then I
like tried to look where it was, and I think that wasn't even the

(11:22):
same place where they stayed, becauseI looked up Nipton, California and had
population of fifteen I think I lookedup said fifteen to twenty people. If
they're so, are you seriously?Yeah, Like that kind of sketches me
out that they don't know exactly howmany people are in the town, and
so it's a creepy hotel that's hilaria. So fifteen actual people, maybe twenty
with a ghosts or something maybe orlike maybe during vacation seasons, like there's

(11:46):
a family of five that habit theagent house there. Totally. So Rudy
just said, like, oh,well, we weren't quite ready for Vegas
yet, so we just decided todo our own thing. Oh is that
something you can do that's producers?Can you pay for this? Hotel.
I'm sure that hotel costs twenty sevendollars to night. Yeah, they didn't
even have a bathroom in their ownroom from what we saw at the end

(12:09):
of the show. He's like thebathrooms here, here's the room. So
what do you think happened here?Like why did they decide to do this?
Were they the producers trying to likespur this couple along, Like,
Okay, they just need a room. Maybe maybe that's a good call,
because I can't think of any otherreason. Yeah, because they gave them
their own room. I'm sure everyoneelse, like the producers were not staying

(12:31):
in that motel. They probably stayedon the bus. But it was like,
yeah, when do we see likea fantasy suite. That's definitely not
a fantasy, but it's not asuite either. This is a room with
a door and no cameras in it. And they jumped right on the bed,
So it seemed like something happened.They were just kind of trying to

(12:52):
kill the tension or trying to movethings along. But I don't know if
it really worked out. They ittoo, I guess it didn't make Rudy
kind of more already, like sayher feelings. Yeah. Yeah, So
I think Matt just is so outof this realm that no matter what they
do, I don't think he's goingto fall into that trap. Maybe I'm

(13:16):
giving him too much credit. Idon't know. Yeah. Um, do
you like that they did this?That was something different? Yeah? I
do? Actually, yeah, Iwas just kind of it was. I
like the suspense that everyone else wasinto, thinking maybe they just got in
a big fight. Yeah, allowedthem to speculate about that they quit or
whatever it was. And then yes, that was kind of fun. And

(13:37):
while this is still unresolved, theydon't know where they are bringing. Chris
get a date card talking about lovelasting forever, and this was shown in
the previews. They go to alittle white chapel. They're not getting married,
they're just singing for another couple there. Okay, so do you think
Bree was told to wear white?I don't care if the I is not

(14:00):
wearing white. You just should notwear unless it's yeah, unless it's in
the invitation. You should not bewearing any shade of white or cream to
somebody else's wedding, does not matter. I bet she was, or they
provided something for her to wear.Yeah, And I would think, so
sketches them out even more when they'regetting there, like, hmmm, so
what's happening here? Do you likehow they had to perform for someone?

(14:22):
I thought it was kind of weirdsinging after the ceremony. Isn't the performance
usually like when you're walking down theaisle or I thought a lot of things
about this were a little weird.What else, that they were the only
two witnesses of this, Do youthink this was a real wedding? Seemed
like yeah, don't seemed like thepeople they would cast otherwise, Like it's

(14:43):
kind of out of the age rangeof their targets. So yeah, I
agree with you. It was weirdthat they sing after the ceremony and then
they just a couple just stare ateach other for a while. Yeah.
Could they have a dance or something, Yeah, turn it into a reception
something. Yeah. The vows werekind of weird because they didn't really match

(15:03):
up, because it was like theefficient was like I love you dearly,
like it just I don't know,it seemed weird to like repeat that after
someone. But yeah, at leastthey didn't have to get married and they
have to perform and then we learneda little bit more about Chris, and
he had a very tragic story.We heard a little bit I think about

(15:26):
his dad before, but apparently hisdad and his best friend died on the
same day. That's five years ago. That's a rough that's a rough one.
Yeah, yeah, I can seewhy he would be maybe marked guarded,
justum, I don't know, verydifficult. And then I don't know,

(15:46):
did anything else happen on the stage. I think we just like it
something about them, and I obviouslyvery much liked them and believe in them,
and out of any of the couples, I would put my money on
them still being together now. Butit's like the show isn't trying to build
them up for us or something.I don't know. Maybe it's just because

(16:07):
it's so easy with them, there'sno real potential for drama. Even maybe
at the end of the episode theywere trying to build drama. But I
mean, I guess we'll see nextweek, because the preview kind of will
let us to believe that something mightbe on for them. That's true.
We haven't seen them interact with anyanyone else. I mean, they forced
him to go on a date withRudy, but there was just nothing,

(16:30):
no conflict there, Like all theother couples, like the first night,
they're talking to different people, they'reinterested in different people. So it showed
sort of a progression in a way. And even though we know like they're
in love, we don't seem toknow a ton about them. And we
learned a little bit about Bree onher in her package at the beginning,

(16:52):
but I don't feel like she's talkeda lot about her engagement too much.
Yeah, it don't feel like Iknow them. How she keeps like saying
like, oh, I've never feltlike this before, Like girl, you
were you were literally engaged, right. It was just one of those things
where it was like her high schoolbff and she thought that's exactly what she
wanted and she realized now it's like, oh that's completely different. Um,

(17:14):
yeah, yeah that could be.Yeah. I have that thought too,
that like the show doesn't really wantus, because it's like they seem like,
okay, they're obviously the most lovethey should win. But yet last
week we talked about we don't thinkthey will, and I felt like this
week their song assignment didn't work thebest to them, even though they liked
the song. Um, so Iwas like, is this show trying to

(17:34):
sabotage them because he didn't have agreat performance this week? Um, did
you genuinely think it? Like,if you were to rank the performances,
would you have ranked them third?No, I would have put Trevor and
Jamie lower. Yeah, totally,I completely agree with you. Yeah,
where would you put the performance withShaggy? That was not their longest.

(18:00):
I think that's the lowest for Rudy. Did you ever expect to see Shaggy
on any iteration of the Bachelor franchise? M No, thinking back to like
the Soldier Boy rap, Like Icould see like maybe in that era,
I could see like a group datesituation, but not like a this is

(18:23):
the song that we're gonna like havea couple come on stage too. Yeah,
like they could have at least pickedAngel, right. It wasn't me
no no no no no no no. I mean sure that's a banger of
a song, but I don't know. And then they like sang it like,

(18:44):
he's sang it again, He's sangit yeah, and then he invited
them up on stage and then sangit again yeah, which is an interesting
artistic choice. But I'm not amusician, so who am I to say?
Yeah? Yeah, it definitely feltlike they were just doing like live
band karaoke up so but I'm sureit was fun for them. So I'm
glad that they still got a dateand they didn't get have to count that

(19:07):
roadside hotel motel as their date.Um. Trevor and Jamie also got a
date at Do you know what arenathat would be or what team that would
be? Believe? Okay, soI believe it's the team of Mobile Arena
for the Las Vegas Golden Nights.Okay, So apparently Trevor has played hockey.
I guess he missed out on wintergames that would have been. Yeah,

(19:30):
he looked in skates too, Igotta say, yeah, he was
skating. I was like, oh, maybe that's the Canadian in me.
I'm not sure. Yeah, Iremember like being impressed when, like with
Kevin and I think Jason on becaseason on his hometown date was skating around.
It's like, yeah, that's veryattractive quality you see a guy doing
that. M yeah, um,so they Jamie's been freaking out. She

(20:00):
wants to say I love you,like she really wants to, and for
what reason hold out don't say untilhe says it to you first. That's
how that works. Yeah, apparentlyshe's been you know, produce, produce,
produced, to like she has tosay it. Um, she probably
is very easy to produce, Iwould think. So she's just like,
I really don't I really want to. I don't want to. I really

(20:22):
want to, though, what ifhe doesn't say it back? I'm so
nervous. But she really is showingher age in those moments. Yeah,
oh my god, what if hedoesn't say it, like I might throw
up? Yeah, So he startssaying as they're having their date. Then
they have this little like couch inthe middle of the skating rink and he

(20:45):
kind of starts telling her, well, like I love you as a really
big word, or he's gonna sayit the L word. I've only said
it twice in my life. Um. And did you think he was going
to say it to her or whatdid you think he was going for with
this list. I've got to saythat the previews for this episode really had
me going I didn't think this wasgonna go well. Rudy and Matt were

(21:07):
going to go really downhill. AndI didn't think that the bad reviews on
the performance we're going to be foranyone, but like Rudy and Matt right,
So I was. I was prettypleasantly surprised with this episode. I
guess I think Trevor, you know, he said that he is falling for
Jamie that I really didn't expect himto say though no, and I didn't.

(21:30):
I didn't expect her to save ithim after he said that, because
I felt he was telling her like, listen, don't say it, like
I'm trying to get out ahead ofthis, and like you don't want to
make I don't want to embarrass you, so like I'm not probably gonna say
it back, like without saying itin so many words. But then she
still says it, like I didn'tsay I love you. She says I'm
falling for you, and I fullyexpect him to not say anything, and

(21:52):
he says it right back, andyeah, they walk off into the sunset
basically like she's over for them.Yeah. Uh. We once again do
not see Ryan and Natasha getting adate card. I don't know if they
just cannot act and they don't actexcited when they get the date card,
but they're already on the date andRyan just tells us that they got a
date card that said you gotta digdeep. So Survivor esk the language there,

(22:17):
what did you think of this?Uh? What do you even call
it? Like? I think it'scalled like I've seen flyers for like grown
up sandbox or something like where youget you know what? So um,
Emily sure, listen to the podcast. Listen listen to the podcast. Listener
of the podcast and texture of meUm mentioned to me that this was the
same location that UM the Boys ofvander Pump Rules went to a couple of

(22:42):
seasons ago. Um Arianna was startinga birthday party and she didn't want Tom
to go to Vegas after because,um, it was he was leaving the
day after birthday and her dad haddied like a couple years before around her
birthday, so it's just like aweird time for her. So she didn't
really want him to go, Like, she just kind of want him to

(23:03):
hang out with her, and likewhen the boys go to Vegas, nothing
good ever happened, so it's fairand Reasonaul Anyway, so they the boys
ended up going to Vegas, butthey made a pit stop here okay,
Um. Yeah, and they justtruck around or whatever. It didn't seem
like the kind of something that wouldbe good for either Natasha or Ryan.

(23:23):
Didn't seem like their vibe. No, they don't seem to be like,
let's get into the dirt of things. Yeah, let's smash cars. And
it's sort of like that date thatBlake and beccahead where they had to smash
things, but that belonged to herex. Yeah, but I don't think
Ryana Natasha had any rage really toget out, So it was a little

(23:45):
odd. Didn't seem really romance indseen either, but I guess in that
way it's good for them could betotally separate. And then we get their
song assignments. So Edge Charing andEdge Shearings Perfect was Ryan and Natasha,
and she was super excited and Ryansaid it's the perfect song for us with
no irony. So um, Ithought it was a good choice at first,

(24:08):
but he was trying to make yeah. Um, Chris and bree get
can't help falling in love. She'ssuddenly like super excited because now it's their
song, even though she had noclue what the song was. The first
time that they were saving uh,Trevor and Jamie Um once again get a
country song just to kiss Lady AntebellumUm. Jamie says, it's the song

(24:33):
that they knew the least, andlet's see it. And then Matt and
Rudy get Shallow from A Star isBorn, so finally, like they've been
referencing Star is Born, and thismakes me like think, maybe Matt and
Rudy are who we should be pinningour hopes on, because this is like
what they wanted the show to be, and they're the ones that get this
star song, Like why didn't Ryanand Natasha get this song that would have

(24:56):
worked better for them too? Inthe last a little last few minutes,
I was like, Oh, maybemaybe it's Rudy and Matt who we are
supposed to be cheering for here,because that was I was a truly dynamic
performance. I thought they were bothreally excellent. I'm embarrassed to admit that
I genuinely had chills listening to thatperformance. Yeah, I thought I thought

(25:21):
they were. Rudy is incredibly talented. I thought Matt bounced her out super
well, and I think he playedthe role he needed to play in that
where I feel like in some ofthe other performances, that's not necessarily the
case. I still have problems withTrevor and Jamie matching up. I just

(25:44):
don't think they blend well together.And the fact that they got called first
this week, I was pretty surprised, and I thought Chris and Chris and
Brie were really good, Like Ididn't I didn't hear where Chris messed up
at all. Yeah, it wasa little bit. I think she's like,
the first couple of notes, maybeyou were like a little low for

(26:07):
his register, but it's not somethingthat's going to ruin the song. I'm
just realizing we forgot to mention theresult of Rudy telling Matt how she oh,
yeah, because that would have beensomething you would think would impact the
performance, because she was, Yeah, you're courageous for speaking your true I
really appreciate it. Yikes, shejust walks off, so she says,

(26:33):
and she said it really cute.I thought she was like, I'm falling
in love with you, but likeshe kind of like skirted around it for
a while, like yeah, Iwasn't sure, and I don't know.
I think she said it in away that was like not super scary,
like you could have just said likeI'm not there yet, or I feel
like it's almost unnecessary to say I'mfalling in love with you. I think

(26:55):
I think she would have gotten alot farther with I really like you,
and I like hanging out with you, and I like what we're doing here.
Yeah, yeah, I'd love tocontinue or something. Yeah, but
I could see the producers being like, no, like you have to state
it, like you're falling in lovewith him, How well he understand that
you're falling in love with him?Yeah, But then when he talks and

(27:18):
is confessional and talks about how hefeels about her, it seems like he
is falling for her too, Likethe way he talks about her is really
cute, and like, yeah,I think about her when I wake up
in the morning, and like ifshe's upset, I'm upset, Like it's
just kind of like but he's like, is that love? I don't know.
So it's not really any different thanlike someone that just takes longer to
say it or like has different likemeaning attached to the word, and you

(27:40):
know, maybe like it would freakhim out to say it because of past
relationships or something. So it's likeif she could just see those tapes of
him, then she'd probably would befreaking out a little less. Yeah,
And then I think they're on whenthey're on stage, I think like they
just have great chemistry and he's lookingat her kind of with that love in
his eye. So the judges aren'tbelieving it even if it's like they're not

there yet. So I'm a fan. Yeah, I mean too, They're
my favorite ones who are left.Yeah, for sure. Um, So
Bree and Chris started off, Soyou said you really like this performance?
Yeah, I think I. LikeI said before, I think Chris is
the most talented person on the show, and I think this performance was the

(28:26):
best that Bree's voices sounded, andI think she's pretty talented as well.
I think they sound I think theysound good together dy a little bit too,
which is kind of Yeah. Sothe judges were, Um, this
round of judges m Ari and Lauren, where our bachelor's been dying to hear
from them. So I'm so gladyou here, uh, Pat Monahannah of

(28:51):
Train and then m Ashley Simpson andEvan Ross or actually Simpson Ross. So
what did you think of this groupof judges? Um? I thought Ashley
and Evan were a pretty interesting get. I actually kind of do like that
they were chosen brought in because theyare a music couple. Um. I

(29:14):
loved Ashley Simpson when I was thirteen. I loved her. Gosh, she
was great. Thought both of herCDs thought they were brilliant. Yeah.
Um, and I just like her. And I actually just started her sister,
Jessica Simpson's book today. Oh yeah, I got that on audible.

then they started dancing, and thenRyan put on his guitar and then you

and it just was off, andthen they didn't sing during the up
tempo part and it just like wentback to the slow part and then like

super well for them because in theversion they were doing, which is the
Beyonce and Ed Sheeran, I thinkNatasha I'm not saying she is Beyonce.

I'm saying she has the Beyonce esqueum voice, which is which is like,
you know, the poppy and likebig and bold and gorgeous, and
then Ryan has that kind of likeacoustic vibe that Ed Sheeron has. So
