(00:15):
Hey everybody, and welcome to TheBachelor Presents. Listen to your heart rap
up. I'm Amy here as always, the lovely Haley Strong Haley. How
are you doing tonight? I amdoing I'm doing well. Yeah. I
feel like I'm doing better than mostof the people on this show at this
point, So you know that's fine. Yeah, maybe I should say how
(00:35):
are you doing? Sweetie? Whichwas the worst? Don't even I will
hang up the phone. I can, yeah, every single time. Yeah,
um, this episode we're on weekfour? Can you believe it?
(00:56):
You know I can't. Um.You know what else? I can't believe
what. I'm having a great timelaunching this show. That's good. I
like it. I like how howdid this happen? Yeah, it's starting
to be like, okay, nowwe have a Monday night show, we
have our Wednesday light Survivor, Like, let's just go on for every night
of the week so we can figureout what day it is. That's the
(01:22):
only way I'm being able to keeptrack of what day it is, Like
this on Monday and then Survivor onWednesday. Same. That's how I know
it's not the weekend anymore. Asthis show comes on, so and something
happened on this episode right up topthat I didn't think. Whatever happened,
we kind of talked about it inour past coverage. That's something that they
(01:45):
should do. We've talked about iton Bachelor in Paradise, I think too.
But force them to mix up whothey go on dates with. So
Chris comes in and assigned dates. What did you think about that? I
was really happy to see this,Honestly, I didn't think it would get
anywhere, and it did feel heavyhanded of like, oh, like I
(02:06):
wonder who Brandon's going to go ona date with, Like, obviously it's
going to be Julia. I washappy. I was happy that we got
we got something something different. Yeah, it seemed like the other two couples
that well, I guess Jamie andRyan made a little bit of sense.
But so it was Jamie, Ryan, Chris and Rudy and Julian Brandon,
Chris and Rudy. Where did thatcome from? Just like so I'm gonna
(02:30):
do Yeah, And I noticed thatChris and Rudy, Jamie and Ryan seemed
to get like kind of the lamedates. Julian Brandon got like a legit
date outside of the grounds. Sowe're the other two dates just a ruse
to make it seem like, Okay, we have to put Julian Brandon together.
So these are two couples. Whydon't you guys see if there's anything
(02:53):
there? Like Chris and Brie areso solid, why like, what is
Rudy doing there? Great point, although it did give Rudy um some mixed
feelings about leaving Matt behind at thehouse, so I guess there was that.
Uh what did you think about herpicking out the binoculars on her date
with Chris? I thought it waskind of funny. Um, obviously it
(03:16):
didn't really go anywhere. Things arefine with them for now, but yeah,
it was fun. Something I thoughtwas weird was Natasha making comments about
like, let's try to make everybodyjealous, And she even had positive words
to say about Trevor, which didn'tshe come in like with a vantenna against
him? She's like TV yeah cool. Yeah, it seemed like she wanted
(03:38):
to bone Trevor, but like theythey I was that's always at to Ethan,
I was like, what the hellis going on here? I thought
they didn't like each other. She'slosing track of her storylines here. Yeah,
so yeah, Chris and Ruddy wassurprised that the producers didn't like keep
her, you know, head onstraight, like they've been telling her to
do everything else on this season. She feels like such a heavy handed producer
(04:02):
plant totally. Yeah, yeah, for sure, I'm fine with it.
But it just feels very much like, oh, yeah, okay, I
get what's going on here, right, because she's the only one that's driving
any kind of conflict here, movingthings along. Yeah, So Chris and
Bree have a picnic Aready breaks upthe binoculars. There's no interest there.
Chris is just kind of talking aboutit's just a friendship, talking about his
(04:25):
feelings for Bree. Jamie and Ryanhave a spa day. It seemed like
to be on the same grounds thereand seems like they have just a friendship
going. Yeah, it's kind oflike, stop trying to make Ryan and
Jamie happen. Yeah, and whatabout making Ryan and Natasha happen? Are
(04:46):
you believing them as a couple?Oh my god, no, of course
no. I even like the Tchiniebit. It's always Ryan narrating, like
saying who the solid couples are,but he's never saying like, oh and
me and Natasha like, I'm reallyexcited about where this is heading. Like
it's like they both it's like theyboth sat down and had a conversation off
camera, and we're like, Iwere great friends, and like, let's
(05:09):
continue this. We're both talented,Like we need to let our careers together,
so why don't we just do this? And then you know, they're
like, Okay, cool, thatworks for me. Yeah, let's pretend
we're just signed. You know,we're in a theater, we're in a
musical, and we're in love, and this is what we're gonna portray,
because what was that scene They weresitting at breakfast and she was kind of
(05:30):
gossiping and she was like, Ieven't had a dream about you last night,
honey, and it was just kindof they just both laughed. It
seems so like they're just having funwith it. And you know, there's
like one thing where one scene wherehe's just like uh huh yeah, yeah
yeah, and she's like, oh, I love gossiping with you. Right.
She can just talk on and onand they'll just smile and nod um.
(05:54):
So then we have Julian Brandon wentto the Rock Sea and had a
date with a songwriter producer. Iwasn't sure who it was, but what
an odd Yeah, that was uncomfy, i'd say, But they had to
make like write a song together performancefor him, and they were gone all
(06:19):
day, but somehow the other twocouples were just back like a couple hours
later. Yeah. That's kind ofwhy I was like, this feels a
little like set up. Yeah.Yeah, So they make out on the
date, Julia is all into it, and they come back much much later.
And it seemed like on the datethat they had said I guess I
(06:42):
wasn't quite clear, like because it'sreally Julia telling it. So did they
agree that they were both gonna likebreak up with their partner or I don't
think so. I think what happenedwas that Julia realized that she really was
and to Brandon, and she diddidn't really see anything with Sheridan, so
she was just like, Okay, well, if I could feel that for
(07:04):
Brandon, then what's the point ofcontinuing on with Sheridan. And then I
think what happened was Savannah kind ofjust overheard what was going on and I
was like, um, okay, like let's talk about this, And that
didn't go it didn't go super wellat all. Yeah, because they came
(07:25):
came back and they kind of Brandonand Julia sort of split ways, and
he's kind of like, it'll beokay, don't worry, and you know,
maybe he's thinking she's just gonna andthings are have a conversation with Sheridan,
but he wasn't really reassuring her, like Okay, can't we wait to
be back with you or anything likethat. But yeah, so Savannah was
not happy. He wasn't very reassuring. Just the way he was talking to
(07:50):
her just annoyed me so much.I was I was infuriated, honestly,
both when Julia was talking to Sheridanand when Brandon was talking to Savannah.
I think this is two of themost egregious examples of gasolating we've seen on
the bat flip. Let's start withJulian Charan. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
(08:11):
sure. Um So Julia, youknow, called shared and oh or
to sit and have a conversation withhim, and he knows where this is
going, and so she kind oflike starts and I don't even know what
she was saying, like she's Idon't He's like, sorry for what because
he always the answer is, buthe wants her to just say it right.
Like I I thought he was veryeven killed during this entirely, like
(08:35):
it was totally justified. He wasvery like all right, like you could
tell he was fed up with her, but he was not mean. She's
like, oh, I don't knowwhy you're being so mean about this.
I'm only breaking up with you,but like, why are you being so
mean to me? Yeah? Iwas like, okay, why don't you
see a future? Why why areyou making this choice? And she's just
like, can't like say it forsome reason. Um. So he's just
(08:56):
like, okay, well I thinkI'm done here. And she's like,
oh, you're just gonna get upand leave. And he's like, well
do you want me to do?There's nothing for me to do. There's
nothing for me to say. Youmade up your mind, like like what
do you want? And like yousaid, she's like, oh, well,
you don't have to be so mean, and he's just like what are
you talking about? At one pointyou kind of gives up, like I
(09:18):
call it like the oh my godlaugh where it's just like oh my god,
like huh yeah, And he's likeshe's like, well you don't have
to laugh at me. She's like, it's like, I'm not laughing at
you. I just like like I'msad and I don't know what else to
do right now. So right, yeah, he shouldn't be put in the
position of having to comfort her ormake her look good when she has been
(09:39):
stringing them along this whole time, and you know, he was probably looking
forward to the rest of the beingon the show. They got really good
reviews on their chemistry either singing together. They seem to make a little more
sense on stage, as we'll seelater, So it seems so unfair that
his That's what I didn't like aboutthis part is that it just like why
(10:01):
he and Savannah had to have theirtime and cut short, Like I kind
of wish there was a way tolike reshuffle all the couples or leave some
uneven numbers in there. Seemed tolike have Sheridan in Savannah just sing too
for like sing for this week orjust kind of see what that would be
like, Right, Chris Harrison, you have to have a real, real
(10:22):
love here. It's you gotta listento your heart. So yeah, yeah,
even like he announced, like,oh you guys could totally tell Becca
and what's his name? Becca? And Danny like they weren't into each other,
so they had to go, yeah, it's all about the serious relationships,
right, so yeah, and thenspeaking serious relationships, we move on
to um, what's his name?Brandon? Ye? Brandon Savannah's conversation,
(10:48):
which also was like not a funwatch. She saw the writing on the
wall. She's a smart ou do, she knew what was going on,
and she just kind of like,I don't know what did he want from
her to say that it was fine? It was so unclear because he would
just say things like can we talklike adults about this? Or um,
what can I do to make itright? But yeah, it was just
(11:09):
like peppering her at these random questions, but not saying like understand why you
so we can have an equal conversation, like dude. Yeah. It was
this tone of like crazy, youdon't have a reason to be upset kind
of thing. Sweetie, sweetie, calm down, sweetie. Oh my god,
I was like losing it. Yeah. I don't know how she didn't
(11:31):
just completely freak out when he's athat tour. I know. It was
so condescending. It was it waslike you're saying sweetie, but you're meaning
like something else. It's like thatnot feeling like she's sweet at all,
and it wasn't not a sweet tone. And yeah, it's like when you're
in a store and someone's like allright, sweetie, like get on my
way or something like. It's justnot not good. And it made me
(11:56):
very upset, very triggering. Yeah, I did not enjoy watching that conversation,
and Savannah was obviously very upset, and you know, he said,
well, what can I do tomake this up or whatever, which is
so weird after like obviously enjoying makingout with this girl beforehand. Are you
(12:18):
a different you know, a differentperson earlier? And then he's just like,
well, like how do I makeit up to you? Like the
whole way along he wants he wantsto string both women along, Like I
don't get it either. Yeah,So it didn't work out and she left,
like good for her for standing upfor herself. Yeah, I mean
(12:39):
she's brought up all these points likewhile he was gotten like okay, we've
committed to each other at all theseroads ceremonies, and you know, he
chose Savanna over Julia the last timearound, and they seemed like they talked
about last time, so she wasreally thrown off guard, cut off guard
by this and saying like, Idon't want to even be a choice.
I don't want to be second choice, but I don't even want to be
(13:00):
an option at this point and yeah, valid points. So yeah, good
for her for just saying it.And I don't know, getting out of
there. Yeah, um, andlet me have that scene, um,
so they I'll get their song ofSimmons spells. I just want to talk
about that scene where it is Natashaand Ryan at the breakfast table. Well
(13:26):
yeah, and like Julia's walking in, she kind of overhears things, um,
and so she goes and sits soonand then um, Natasha says you
might want to come your ears forthis, and then surprising she does hey.
And then Natasha had the goal tosay, hey, Brandon, um,
(13:48):
if Savannah wanted to work it out, who would you have chosen?
Or like, w did you staystayed with Savannah? And he nods yeah
yeah, he like um melts itto her like yeah, like all sitting
beside right, but she can't seeso that was interesting. Um, are
you serious? Right? Can't youjust play a lot for now, um,
(14:15):
you're telling Natasha. Yeah, likethey're clearly not friends. So yeah,
so that's that will come up lateron. That information does not just
stay with Natasha shock. Yeah.Um. So again Chris comes with the
song assignments, and again I feellike these are a little bit set up
(14:35):
based on um. Some people startgetting assignments that don't really make sense um
with them or it seemed a littlemore challenging. But um, Jamie and
Trevor get like I'm Gonna Lose Youfrom John Legend and Megan Trainer. Chris
and Bree get Lover by Taylor Swiftfor he was very excited about that,
(14:56):
so it seemed like last week theygave him something more to Chris's strengths.
This me more for Bree, Natashaand Ryan. You Are the Best Thing
by ray La Montaine, Rudy andChris Tennessee, Whiskey by Chris Stapleton and
Julian Brandon. We Belong by PatBenatty and we're not excited about that.
I've never even heard of this song. Actually, it's funny, you know,
(15:18):
I have I have a playlist thatI just I've had for a couple
of years now, and I justadd songs to it, and then they
take songs out when I'm tired ofit, so a lot of the things
stay the same, and then itends up being like the same, like
forty to fifty songs all the timethat I just play on a repeat.
Um. Two of the songs onthere are Lover by Taylor Swift and Tennessee
(15:39):
Whiskey by Chris Stapleton, and Ethanhates both of them very much. Really,
oh, he hates he hates them. So he heard the you know,
christ and Bree gets the Lover andhe's like, oh, it's just
like shit, like I hate thissong. And then you know, and
then later Rudy and Matt get TeddyseeWhiskey's like, why are yours? Like
I really hate this song? Lookwhat the hell at? He's fine with,
(16:04):
like I'm gonna lose you? Iguess, so terrible song and I
hate Yeah, I wish I couldlose them. Yeah. Um so Julian
Brandon, Um, he just keepscomplaining about the song, so we already
kind of know what's not going togo that well. Everyone else was kind
of excited about theirs Um, maybenot Trevor about the Megan Trainer song.
(16:27):
He didn't seem to know that oneeither. Um. And then we have
we go to their performance. They'reperforming at a new venue. I didn't
catch what it was, but itwas like a big theater and they have
Rachel Lindsay and you know, wehave the question last time about how um
Chris Lane was introduced and his wifeLauren, but this time it was Rachel
(16:49):
Lindsay and her husband Brian. Briandidn't get the last name treatment Um.
I don't know if she took hislast name, but I think they're they're
married, so yeah, it wasn'tBrian and his last name maybe christophergot um
singer songwriter Andy Grammar and have thelegend Tony Braxton. We're excited about this
group of judges. Would I've everbeen able to pick out Andy Grammar from
(17:12):
a crowd of three white men?No? No, Um, have I
heard of Tony Braxton? Absolutely?Could I name one song? No,
let me love that on breaking myHeart? Okay, yeah, that one
I've heard? Um Yeah, Okay, wait songs, let's see sister of
(17:33):
Tamar Bton Oh yeah, I knowof Tamar. Obvious, isn't this sad?
Like? Oh yeah? Absolutely gother. Yeah, I don't.
I don't think I've known too manyof these songs. Yeah, she's more
a legend from like her own realityTV. I mean, I know she's
(17:56):
a great singer. But again, okay, remember how guess how will she
is? Oh my gosh, shelooks amazing, doesn't look a day over,
she is fifty two. Oh mygosh, Yeah she looks great.
Yeah, it's really good. Iwas excited to see Rachel and Brian because
we don't they're not asked back thatmuch. Definitely not Brian. Yeah,
(18:18):
I love hearing from Rachel. Ithink she just has a great way of
speaking both things. I think sheis has some great opinions and she expresses
them in a way where it isconstructive, it doesn't feel tearing down.
Yeah, and she's also not justgonna play nice like she will ye say,
(18:40):
if like this chemistry was awkward oryeah, which we see when we
perform, but before they go andperform, this is one Natasha pulls Julia
aside, what did you think ofthe timing of this was listen, I
you know, I may not haveagreed with everything Julia did this episode.
(19:02):
I disagree with much of it,but I will agree with the fact that
this was bad timing. Yeah, and it did feel deliberate, and I
think the producers were saying, Hey, Natasha, why don't you, why
don't go asked Julie about this rightnow? Yeah, I mean they probably
had a little downtime, and youknow they have those scenes where they're like
(19:26):
sitting around on The Bachelor, Bachelorette, all these shows, Bachelor in Paradise
where they're sitting around and there's somekind of topic of conversation that comes up.
But usually I think it's presented toeverybody like why don't you talk about
like the people on the date? But yeah, it was probably like,
hey, Natasha, seems like youhad some concerns. Why don't you talk
about it when you guys are sittingdown? And yeah, she's all for
that. So Julia kind of freaksout. But of course Natasha is so
(19:51):
manipulative that she doesn't even really believeit. She doesn't really believe that Brandon.
No, yeah, but you believeanything, Brandon saying, right,
yeah, okay, so he couldhave reassured her too, but didn't call
that well either, Oh well,I didn't say it definitively. It wasn't
definitive, wasn't definitive. I justlike, if she was still here,
(20:11):
I'd rather be with her, Likewhat's the big deal? But I didn't
say the word definitive, so itwas not definitive. Yeah. Um,
but they managed to you know,Okay, let's focus on the performance,
like it'll be fine, and sheseems to like be okay with it for
that at that point. Um.But then once it doesn't go well,
(20:33):
then it's like, oh, hewas totally Like I'm done with him,
So let's see rooding, Matt.I think they opened the show. Did
they open the show last week too? What a great question. They seem
to be good at opening the showif they are, But they did this
time, and I really liked themtogether, But I'm not feeling like we
(20:55):
get a lot of story behind themactually being a couple. Do you think
I agree with you? I likedthem a lot. I think they're both
like fun and they balanced each otherout. Well. Yeah, I wish
we could see a little more.Yeah. So the judges picked up on
like he complimented her at the endof the song, like you're just such
(21:18):
a great singer. They thought thatwas cute. I thought that was cute,
so they got good reviews from everybody. Jamie and Trevor. Jamie's nerves
each week. I think this isgonna continue on and be a storyline.
But she was freaking out again. And what did you think of their performance?
Did you agree with the judges onthat it was kind of mismatched?
(21:38):
It was I've been having that problemwith a lot of these performances, honestly,
that they do feel mismatched and they'rejust not like blending well together.
This was definitely one of them.I think Trevor really had a handle on
the situation, but Jamie just kindof was all over and it felt like
she was over to like compensate forhow nervous she is. Yeah, and
(22:03):
like over like gesturing like grabbing athim kind of like in a way that
like the body language did really reallyawkward because she had the microphone in her
in her left hand, she wasfacing Ryan, but and she kept like
grabbing his arm with her right hand, which is like completely blocking off you
(22:23):
know, it's like closing off theaudience almost. Yeah, that's I think
what you mean. Yeah, Iknew there's something that was like really weird
about it, but I couldn't myfinger on it. Yeah, and then
he has a guitar, so it'snot like he can really respond back like
symmetrically or like reciprocally, so itjust looks like she's like pawing at him
and he's kind of like, okay, I can't respond. So um,
(22:49):
I think it was Rachel that hadthat comment, maybe that he wasn't matching
her level, like you would havehad to kind of go over the top,
but she probably actually should have scaledback her Yeah, just kind of
forceful singing. And yeah, Ithink, um, they could tell she
was nervous. We saw Tony Braxtontalking to Brian, but like, is
(23:11):
she nervous, like when we seelike the little whispering between like last week
we saw Jojo short and like arethinking to each other now, so they
want to like be on the samepage when they're giving their critiques. I
think, yeah, I like alot. And then Jamie was freaking out
because I think, you know, there's only five five couples left, so
any kind of negative criticism you're watchingeverybody else's like, Okay, we're gonna
(23:33):
be the ones to go for sure. Um yeah, and I do.
I thought the criticism was pretty fair. She just took it hard because she
doesn't want to let Trevor down.I have a question, Amy, it's
Trevor into Jamie. Well, youknow, they didn't get a date this
week, so we couldn't really tellhe was back with Natasha. Um,
(23:56):
definitely not at the same level thatshe is into him. But yeah,
this is the week where I reallyfelt like, m he's just going through
the motions here. But Trevor isgrowing on me, Okay, Um,
I don't know why. I justI think he's just he's just growing on
(24:17):
me. I mean, we likedthis segment last week, Yeah, but
we didn't see a lot of himthis time. No, but I think
he's got like this kind of youknow. I like the way he was
talking to Julia afterwards, being like, Hey, I'm so proud of you,
like it doesn't matter, like youwent out there and you did this,
Like I'm so proud of you.You did wonderful, Like, don't
worry about It's really reassuring to her. Um, they he wasn't freaking out
(24:44):
like like we're gonna be eliminated.I think he was at peace, like
if they were, which someone that'sspent on American Idol. I mean that's
kind of surprising, like you thinkthey would have all these steaks in like
I need to stay till the endum. But maybe because I think he
was he wasn't in like top ten. I don't think so, maybe he's
already gone through that and it's like, okay, you can still like this
is still exposure, this is fine, and we're like, you know,
(25:08):
in comparison to how how Brandon kindof dealt with Julie afterwards of their performance,
I didn't go so hot. Itjust didn't. It just didn't.
It was just not like supportive oryou know, comforting or whatever. Yeah.
Then we have Chris and Breem sothey have the Taylor Swift song and
(25:32):
then they always get like their momenton the stage. I don't know if
it's really strategic or not. Itdoesn't come off that way, but it
would be smart. Yeah, Sothey're almost like too perfect. It made
me cringe when she's like, Ijust I don't know if you heard it,
but I said I love you,and I don't think you heard it
because you didn't say it back. And he's like, yeah, if I
(25:52):
would have heard it, I wouldhave said it back again. I'm not
the most comfy with kissing in frontof like large crowds of people or like
any people, so like them,I don't know, just be like I'm
in love with you. I wasjust like, no, not in front
of all these people. It's aware. Yeah, that's true. Like they
already had their little date in GuitarSona where they said the falling. So
(26:15):
now to be like I love youand have a whisper and then have to
announce it. Yeah, it wouldhave been better if like she just whispered
it and they didn't have to announceit. ChRI Is seeing gives me the
chills though. He is so good, so good. Yeah, and the
judges love it. They were like, you can tell you're in love,
(26:36):
same as um last week. Andyeah, I'm not as excited about Breeze
singing, but they're keep together.Oh again, Like I feel like she's
going a little wild with it.M yeah, um, yeah, she
doesn't match like kind of it's kindof Jamie Trevor situation. M Are they
(27:00):
like the lock to win or doyou think they're like, don't have enough
of the excitement that they're going togo another way with it? At the
end. Yeah, I would.I would say they don't have enough of
the excitement. Um. I getthat there is drama going on during their
performance, but it seems like theywouldn't cut away from the Winter singing.
I don't know that's true. Likeit's probably a bad sign when it's like
(27:22):
during their song, we like cutback to Jamie and Trevor, yeah,
and then Brandon Julia. We geta lot of people talking about how they
had no chemistry, and then theywere even They actually Brandon brought up like,
oh, we switched partners and I'mso glad we did. Did you
(27:44):
think that was smart to bring thatup to me? That's like, okay,
an easy one for the judges tobe like, well they're not that
solid, So yeah, I guess. So. I don't know. I
just I don't know what he wastrying to do. Um. I also
didn't think they said very good together. I think Julia is a really talented
singer and I like her voice.I just felt like Brandon was the one
(28:04):
not matching it. Then this one. Yeah, I don't think it fit
his style at all. I meanhe kind of knew that, but he
didn't like try right and Tony Braxonsaid she thought that they were even having
a fight because it seemed like Juliawas trying to reassure him or like get
back with him while they were singing. So that's so awkward, but it
kind of did. Yeah. Andthen last we close out with Natasha and
(28:30):
Ryan like kind of the show stappershere. They're like all over the stage.
It seemed very choreographed. What didyou think of their performance? Again,
it just gives me the vibe thatthey are here and they're performing and
that's what they hit. They're herefor, Yeah, totally, which is
fine, right, Yes, andnow we will perform like we're totally in
(28:55):
love. Yeah, and then we'llback at the house. We will like
just be sipping tea and watching everybodyelse. Like do you think that was
their first cast? Maybe, butthey probably practice it rehearsal, so yeah,
yeah, I'm waiting for like someoneto be like one of the judges
(29:17):
to be like, well, thisseems a little like rehearsed or something.
I don't know, Like they needsome negative comments, I think, to
get people questioning. It seems likepeople are questioning Natasha because they don't like
her back of the house, butno, one's don't hear anyone say like,
oh they're not in love or youknow, they just don't really address
it at all. So could acouple like that win the show? No?
(29:41):
Okay, Um, so are wedown to then Jamie Trevor? Are
you think jam and Trevor are gonnawin? I'm not excited about that,
but either but I just I don'tknow. Yeah, they have more room
to go, like christ and Bree, like can't really go anymore anywhere else,
Like they could he could propose atthe end of the show, but
(30:03):
it's like, are people gonna wantto see them tour? Like, yeah,
we want to hear Chris's voice, but they're just not kind of popping
off screen. So then this timewe moved the rose ceremony to the stage.
So at first I thought maybe thejudges would be delivering the news this
time, and it seemed like they'rekind of I don't know, addressing like
the show maybe changed things up asthey went, kind of what we were
(30:26):
reacting to as we watched it,like that was weird back at the house,
and now like they might have feltthat as they're producing it, like
that was kind of weird. Solet's do it on stage. So I
like that a little more, butit's still Chris handling the Rose ceremony.
Yeah, but it felt a littlemore like legit, Like, Okay,
they're still in the same venue,so the judges probably actually made this decision.
(30:48):
There's a little skeptical about it lastweek. So he calls christ and
Bree, Matt and Rudy, thenNatasha and Ryan and Jamie and Trevor.
We're last, so of course it'salways down to the people that you're kind
of had the negative reviews, andthen Julie and Brandon, We're eliminated.
(31:11):
And I just love Julia saying like, I just didn't deserve the way I've
been I've been treated on the show, Like yeah, it really felt like
Julia was not able to take anyresponsibility for her actions on the show.
I will say, um, fromthings I've read, Um, she has
been able to look back on thatexperience and be like, you know what,
(31:33):
I did make some mistakes and theway I acted was not okay.
Um. I haven't listened to thepodcast yet, but she was on Bachelor
Happy Hour this week. Okay.Uh. And I guess something that is
mentioned, um, is that whenRachel gave Julia and Brandon their negative criticism.
(31:57):
Um, Julia encouraged the audience toboo, Rachel, oh really so
obviously that she really had like anegative just she looked really pissed when they
were like getting any kind of negativecriticism. Yeah, that makes a lot
more sense. Um. Yeah,so again I haven't listened to it,
but um, I do believe Rachelbrings that up and kind of talks about
(32:21):
it, and you know, Juliasays mentions that, hey, like I
what I was doing was not cool. I need to take responsibility for what
I did, and you know, the choices I made, and obviously I
made the wrong choice, and youknow sometimes people do that. Yeah,
there was kind of a random storythat came out. You remember the first
(32:43):
episode there was that bald guy thatJulia was making out with. Yeah,
okay, so she was deciding betweenhim and Sheridan, and he came out
with us he was doing interviews somewhereand said that he had felt like they
had decided for sure, like we'regoing to pick each other or you know,
(33:05):
that's where like she was gonna givehim the rose. And so apparently
in the first Rose ceremony, thegirl Mel offered her rose to him and
he turned it down, and sothat's why she picked Gabe, like really
seems really random, Eric and so, but he was trying to be like,
no, I'm waiting for you know, from Julia, and so he
(33:25):
was just not thinking that he'd beeliminated. Yeah, yeah, that makes
me think, like, Okay,if Mel wasn't really connecting with anyone,
was she encouraged to pick him sothat like the love triangles would stay around
in the house, you know, because we saw Ryan get picked and Matt
get picked by people that were notinterested in them either, you know.
(33:46):
So yeah, yeah, so interesting, but yeah, not really someone we
were really like wondering about, butdefinitely things that are on the cutting room
floor that would give a little moreinsight to why things are happening. But
yeah, so Julian Brandon, itwas just funny because she was just like
(34:06):
I felt like he abandoned me upthere, and like couldn't have just been
like not their song, like nota not that I want to defend Brandon,
but I don't think he was likeintentionally trying to like tank their performance.
What do you think? No,I just felt like he was a
little checked out. Um, yeah, it seemed like one Savannah left,
he was completely uninterested in Julia. That's what I read to me. I
(34:30):
could be wrong. I could butjust be like putting what I think on
But it did seem like once thechase was over, he lost interest.
Yeah, they got to keep theseextra people in the house, Like would
have been more interesting. I thinkto let Savannah and shere it didn't stay,
and like wouldn't have been amazing ifthey got to stay and have like,
Okay, you guys aren't into eachother, but like let's just perform,
(34:52):
like Rnan Natasha get to perform,And what if they had like an
amazing performance and to see Julia likehave another mouth down about that, that
would have been get TV. ButI mean the producers were pretty smart.
They got to knock out two couplesthis way since we were trying to figure
out, like how are they goingto get down to the finale? So
yeah, yeah, we saw thedrama playout and then they all leave.
(35:15):
So it looks like next week they'regoing to get tour buses and they're going
to Vegas. They're going to Vegas. Do they all get their own like
fantasy tour bus. Look, they'requite a few buses. You get the
keys to your fantasy bus. Andthen do you think they use those same
buses for Ben and Becca in theBachelor tour? Probably they just had this
(35:35):
fleet ready to go. Yeah, definitely that makes sense. I have to
look, like, get somebody scopeon it on Instagram. Go back in
time, go back to the leavewhenever this tour was still alive, and
yeah, pretty standard tour buses. But it seems like so long ago,
but it was only like maybe sixweeks. I know, that's so terrible.
Um, I'm kind of surprised thatthey're doing that because it seemed pretty
(36:00):
little budge this whole time. Yeah, I don't know, maybe it's still
pretty low budge. Yeah, gavethem a good deal probably. So I
just keep thinking about these like peoplethat just left the show, like yeah,
we're not we're not really into eachother. And like then they get
to see like the other things thatthey missed out on, So you know,
I guess it's good on them thatthey are authentic about their feelings.
(36:23):
But all right, let's get intoour questions. We have some emails.
Where can people email us if theywould like a longer, firm question,
you can email us as always abachelor. We're hap up at gmail dot
com. Perfect. All right, this is from Kaya. Dear Amy and
(36:44):
Haley. I have just to havejust have two quick questions for this week.
Do you think Green Ryan could havemade a cute couple because I kind
of think so, but maybe theyare too similar personality and looks wise,
I'm not sure. Secondly, afterClaire's season, would you rather see Savannah
from this show or Victoria Fuller asthe next Batchelorette. I know it's a
not a question, not likely eitherof them will be, but I'm interested
(37:06):
that is somebody Victoria's still not with, not still with Christel's obviously. Thanks
hyah Um, I like these questions. Um. I think Brie and Ryan
would be a que couple, butI think you would see them be like,
of course they're together, you knowwhat I mean? Right? Like
I like that breeze with Chris becauseit's just like I want to put them
(37:30):
together right away. And I likethat Ryan is faking being with Nasha.
I like that Ryan still on theshow, and I like that Natacha's on
the show. So yeah, thatthey have to be together. It looks
out for all of us. Ican see Brie and Sheridan kind of too,
Like she kind of seems to havethat kind of like hippiesh vibe a
little bit, yeah, free spirit. Where do you think? Um,
(37:52):
what's next for Sheridan? Like ishe somebody like let's say Bachelor and Paradise
had been happening, would they havebrought someone share it in on too?
Pip? I don't know him allthe beaches in Mexico. I can picture
him like lounging in the palapa.I can't picture him like doing like in
(38:14):
the ocean on the beach, likein the pool. Yeah, sure,
I'm sure they're I'm sure somebody inBachelor Nation would look at Shared and be
like that is that is what I'mgoing for because I do think he held
himself very well this season. Um. I think he's very talented. Um.
I think he came off off asvery kind in caring. So I
(38:36):
don't see why somebody in the BachelorNation wouldn't want to pursue him in to
be like the Evan like where we'relike who would go for him? Yeah?
But even more so because like wecan see like who I can't think
of who, off the top ofmy head who would go for him,
But like, he has all thesegreat qualities and he's just not the typical
type that would ever be on theshow. So you're like, does he
(38:57):
match up with the influencer types?Yeah? Um, and then you know
Julia's leaving message of God, Ishould have just stuck with Sheridan, Like
he was great, He's everything I'mlooking for. I think that would be
like a good boost for him inParadise. You're like, oh, he's
great. Well, everybody in thehouse was so upset that he was leaving
too, like they're just devastated. So um, and then my vote definitely
(39:22):
is for Savannah, Like I justlove Savannah, like she cares. Yeah,
although a Victoria f season would bevery interesting, very great television.
Yeah, I could see Savannah beinga great lead too, Like it just
seemed weird that, like, Idon't know, she seemed like somebody from
the Night one that I was like, oh, she'll be there till the
(39:44):
end. Yeah, I agree,Um, this is is this from Ethan?
Is it from your Ethan? Yeah? Yeah, he literally emailed me
a question, so funny. Amy, a long time fan, first time
Emailion. I have two questions abouttonight's Listen to Your Heart episode where the
(40:05):
bones still good for Sheridan as hewas riding away in the suv after being
dumped by Crurelia. Would you agreeor Krulia? I don't know, how
do you pronounce that? I thinkCrulia? Yeah? I was thinking correlative
with the actra emphasis, but yeah, the rhyme works with Crulia. Would
you agree that perhaps the bones werenot good and that the rest possibly mattered
(40:27):
either way? I'm team Sheridan washappy to see Julia go home after trying
things with Brandon. Also, whowould be at the top and bottom of
your power rankings for best singer remainingin the house. I would have to
put Chris at the top of mind, But now that Brandon is gone,
I think I would have hard timeplacing someone at the bottom. Maybe Jamie
or Matt, although I feel likeJamie has more potential. Love to hear
thoughts. Thanks fan, so funny. The bones were obviously not great for
(40:55):
sure, Well, I think thebones are good for Sheridan. Yeah,
I don't think they have bones weregood for Shared and Julia. Right,
there's not a good foundation there.Yeah. The rest definitely mattered here.
Yeah. Yeah, it was reallylike the ultimate karma that this couple that
it was like, yeah, we'regonna switch things up, we're gonna kick
two people out. Then they're theones that go because it was like there's
(41:16):
nowhere else for them to go onthe show either, because it's like the
drama was by having all four ofthem in the house. Yeah yeah,
sense Um all right, best singerChris obvious, Chris definitely, Um,
and then maybe I'm going uh,Natasha at the top, yeah, after
(41:39):
Chris, and then maybe Bree Mumand then Rudy and then Matt. I
like Matt's voice. I think it'svery nice, Um, and then maybe
Ryan and Janie. Then probably Trevoris at the bottom. For me now,
(42:01):
I just there's nothing really memorable.Yeah, yeah, that's what it
is. Like He's like, yeah, like you could see him, It
doesn't like have stark quality to me. Yeah. I wonder if if we
heard him sing by himself, ifwe'd feel differently, Like I just don't
think him and Jamie's voices are meshingtogether. Yeah for sure, Um and
(42:25):
Josh Creek should Brandon Julia apologize toBenattar for that performance. Probably, I
know, I think Brandon should Ithink Julia. I think Julia has a
great voice. I like her singing. Um, I think she did a
good job with what she had.Mum, Christine read Jay. So many
(42:50):
thoughts now that I binch and caughtup on it all. One, why
are the girls also teamed Julia? And to Haley, you are the lip
color queen, and he guesses onwhat natashas were during the performance. And
Three, I hear the term gaslighting a ton these days, but don't
fully understand it. Brandon is anexample of this, right or is that
just general douche bakery. Oh sowe kind of brought that up already,
(43:10):
but let's start with Yeah, whyis everyone team Julia? I'm not sure?
Um, there must be your reason. I like I so we didn't
see any of We didn't see anyfootage of like her growing down with the
gals. Savannahs always like off onour own, and no one seems to
be coming up to comfort her.Yeah. So, and she didn't say
(43:32):
bye to anyone as she left.Yeah, Um, so you know,
I'm not I'm not sure because Idon't know. Probably the same reasons why
I shared and like Julia to beginwith, but we just didn't really see
you. Why lip color? Whatcolors did Natasha have? I'm not sure.
(43:53):
I'm not sure. It looked likea nude. If you're looking for
a nice nude lipstick, I wouldgo with max Elvet Teddy. It's just
like it's a classic nice yeah.Um so Brandon general douchebaggery or gaslighting and
how would you describe it? Itdid feel gaslighty to me where what I
(44:15):
understand gaslighting to be. And Ithink this is like oversimplifying. It's just
trying to like mess with somebody's mindand convince them that like something else is
going off, like something other thanwhat they they genuinely experienced. What was
happening, like a different reality hereor yeah yeah yeah, And it did
(44:35):
feel it did feel like that whereyou know, um, he was kind
of saying Savannah like oh like no, like it's always been you Like it's
so this is you know what doyou We're fine, like just tell me
what what you want from me?And it's like I want you to make
it with other girls like oh,like you're yelled, you're getting crazy,
Like we can't even have an adultconversation like that's wild, and you know,
(44:55):
Savannah is like, what are youtalking about? Like we I'm not
yelling, like We're just like whatdo you want? So I think that's
kind of like your best example ofof like the gaslighting of him being like,
oh, I just wish we couldhave an adult conversation when it's like
they are having an adult conversation, right right, Yeah, So like he's
trying to el Yeah, he's tryingto undermine Savannah to make her seem,
(45:20):
um like unreliable because she's emotional inthis it was just not not a good
look my friend, um Alita, realman, is it possible to not be
team Natasha? I think so.I think if you ask Julia, I
think a lot of people could lookat this episode or Jamie. I guess
(45:42):
Jamie still is not a fan.Yeah, um, I could look at
this episode and when Natasha did andwhat I do like not like her because
of that. Abody seems to notbe a fan either. Yeah yeah,
well I mean I can. Idon't know. It's hard to impression on
them. Yeah, exactly exactly, but yeah, like I'm loving her house,
(46:07):
Yes, it's great for us.Well, Harrington, why was Julia
so upset at the end, shehad no one to blame but herself.
Also, Chris and Bree have tobe the front runner, right, I
feel like they should be the frontrunner. But because they feel like they
should be the front runner, they'renot right right. And I think Julia
(46:29):
was upset because, um, herperformance can go super wow, this is
her dream. The guy she likedis a douche. See, she led
a guy who actually was nice anddid like her go and she's just kind
of like realizing, uh yeah, hitting her that they had really great reviews
(46:49):
last week, and so it's sortof like, you know, results oriented
too, Like, yeah, wellthey said we had great chemistry. They
said that, you know that.So it's gotta be Brandon's fault. Um,
there's no blame for her on theperformance at all. Yeah, she
like Natasha did kind of like dirtierup that was dirty. Okay, Like
(47:12):
it's hard to say say here andsay it wasn't because it did. It
was definitely I did see something thatwas like, oh, Julia got told
this, but like Katie Perry gotbroken up with her husband, like before
a big performance, She'll like,you couldn't just stuck it up It's like,
yeah, whatever, I would probablybe a pet too, but yeah
yeah. Christen messacat Natasha seemed pumpedto stay behind from the dates and relaxed
(47:36):
with man Trevor. But didn't shecome into the house trash talking Trevor.
There was so much talking this episodeabout these couples being together for so long?
How long could it be? Liketen days at the most, right,
I'm so confused, Yeah, likeit could. This cannot have been
taken place over more than two fullweeks at this point. I also was
very confused that she was super intostanding behind with Trevor. Yeah, that
(48:00):
was an interesting development or um elapsingcontinuity. I guess she's just bored at
this point. Right, What isher friend the X thinking right now?
Sierra? What is she thinking?Susie Anne Brandon's a socio fathte. I
mean, I can't make any diagnosis. Is this is right? Um?
(48:24):
But I can see why you gotthose vibes, Taylor Bruno. I love
the show for question marks. Ittakes all my fave chaotic things with a
bathroom VIP and gets rid of allthe pretense. You know what, I'm
I'm having a great time watching thisshow. Yeah, because the filler all
the filler's songs. Yeah, sothat's just like all right, we can
(48:46):
just sort of like, yeah,I have a little music, but it's
not like too much songs, Likewe didn't see like the rehearsals this time,
so music justin Feinberg, Haley,to prove if you and Ethan are
committed to each other in music andin love, well, you go on
(49:07):
a date with Jordan Parher, Well, Ethan go on a date with Amy.
Yeah. I was thinking about thisbecause they're on this question earlier.
I feel like if I went ona date with Jordan Parher, it would
be exactly like the date that Roodyand Christmas, Like it would just be
us thrown down talking about our partnersbecause Jordan has a girlfriend who's like great,
(49:30):
so you have fun time. Yeah, I think we'd have a great
time. And then Ethan, Iwould be like it would be like getting
to know you, Like I'd belike, okay, so like let's make
sure like you're good enough for Haley. It's it's funny because like both of
you know so much about the otherperson, but like you've never talked,
right or maybe we just talk aboutthat slurnation. We talked about Colton the
(49:52):
whole time, like, Yeah,I think that's exactly what would happen.
Funny, do you think they shouldinstitut that in Bachelor in Paradise if Bachelor
Paradise ever comes back, where Chriscomes in, or even it's just like
the date card that's like you haveto go on a date with someone else,
you can't go with the same personor something like that. I would
(50:13):
love to see the switch up.Yeah, and they kept do like those
lame little dates because they see theyhave those little mini dates. They could
just be like, you guys haveto have like a one on one over
here across the resort. That wouldbe really cool. Yeah, that I
feel like that's something we've been reallywanting on Bachelor and Paradise for a long
time, and I do think itworked. Sure, it worked because there
(50:36):
was a couple that was already kindof maybe interested in each other. But
I could see that being in thecase on Bachelor Paradise. Easy peasy,
pumpkin squeezy, so I wouldn't haveto make people leave right away. I'd
be like, at least wait tillthe roast ceremony. Yeah. Absolutely,
Justin Feinberg. Are you team Andyor team Rachel Swifty or not a Swifty?
I do love Rachel, but godI love Taylor Swift. Yeah.
(50:58):
I did like that Andy Grammar. That was the one memorable contribution that he
had to defend that he was aSwift tie. Yeah, same time people,
and people know that about me.I don't know. I love Taylor
Swift. What can I say?Yeah, catching music, I found money,
a road trip or I was justlike, that's why I was playing
over and over. Speaking of Taylor. She traveled up here one time so
(51:20):
we could go to a Taylor Swiftconcert. Oh yeah, yeah, where'd
you go? Our friend Taylor?Sorry Taylor? Yeah. I was like,
wait, Taylor Swift came up.Yeah, no, no, no,
Taylor, Taylor Bruno. Was itin Niagara? It was in Toronto
the concert? Yeah, yeah.Nice. It's a great time, a
great time back in the day whenwe could go places. Yeah, stadium
(51:47):
people. I hope everyone is hangingin there because it's not easy. Um,
but I hope everyone's doing what theyneed to do to stay safe.
Um. Haley and I were justcatching before the all about getting all that
we have these shows that can't keepus going. Podcasts keeping us going.
It's like we didn't want listen toyou to our heart, but we needed
(52:10):
listen to your heart. We listento our hearts and said we must podcast
about this. It isn't needed rightnow. Yeah, I'm I'm glad we
did. I'm glad we decided todo this. It was a lot of
for sure not over like it's notreally we're shutting down camp or anything.
But well, speaking of not over, um, there was an announcement about
(52:30):
what The Bachelor is going to bedoing, um coming in June to fill
the air waves. Um. Ithink it's like thirteen special episodes like retrospectives
on different seasons, Like oh,um, yeah, we might cover that.
I guess, don't say no,right because five minutes each week.
(52:53):
It kind of is telling me thatlike all these like seasons can be condensed
and to like a two hour special, although maybe it's three hours I hope,
man. But yeah, so we'llbe here, Um, we'll figure
out something. If there's anything youguys want us to talk about or you
know whatever, let us know,we'll figure something else. Yeah, all
(53:15):
right, Haley, where can peoplefind you in the meantime. Um,
you can check out coverage I'm doingof Top Chef All Stars here on the
same network. If you are substrubscribedto the Reality TV wrap Ups feed,
um, those podcasts will show upin your podcatcher. UM. You can
find me on Twitter and Instagram ata strunk underscore, and you can check
(53:37):
out my blog strong Take Statsia today. I actually just posted a blog post
of all of the podcast time subscribeto nice any other TV recommendations for people
if they're like I need to bingesomething else other than Top Chef. So
I've been talking about this on Twitterand everywhere I can. Um, I've
(53:58):
been talking about my my, myabsolute favorite show, and I mean this.
It's called task Master. My friendLauren introduced me to it a couple
of years ago. I love Britishtelevision, and you know, for a
while we kind of just had tolike find it and like the dark corners
of the Internet. But now Taskmastersactually releasing all of their episodes on YouTube
(54:21):
week by week. So right nowthere I think almost done releasing season five.
And it's genuinely the funniest show I'veever seen in my entire life.
So the premise is five comedians individuallyhave to do the same tasks, and
then they get together at the endand watch each other do the tasks,
(54:44):
and the task master gives out pointsand then you know, people win at
the end of the episode and winat the end of the season. It's
really really, really brilliant. So, like an example of a task in
the first season is eat all youas much watermelon as you can for um,
look at Jackson Mickey on the show, and like there's one where it's
(55:09):
paint a watercolor of a horse whileriding a horse. Like it's just a
lot of ridiculous stuff. So ifyou just need something to kind of lighten
things up, that's a really reallygreat show. So nice. I try
not to give too many recommendations oflike actual good shows because I have such
bad taste in television, but thatone's genuinely good. Funny. Yeah,
mine's not a good show, butlike, um, I saw last season
(55:30):
on Meredith First Sight is on Netflix, so um, and there's a lot
of drama on that season. Sojust like was and then I've been I've
watched the current season, which iswrapped up, but it's just kind of
like comfort TV seeing like all thesepeople have these horrible situations, just like
like they're really slow sometimes episodes,but it's like I don't know why.
(55:52):
It's so formulaic, and I'm justlike, yeah, comforting to me in
some ways. I also find aVanderpumper Rules comforting in the way that they're
all so terrible. Yeah, socheck that one out too if you haven't
already. Nice all right, andyou can find me on Twitter at our
chippy recappart. We will be backnext week, so listen to our hearts a
