know, I truly think the pandemichas just completely rotted my brain because I

liked this show. I loved watchingListen to Your Heart. I liked the
first episode of this show, andI'm like genuinely excited to keep watching it.
But even more exciting, like youmentioned, we have a wonderful guest
with us. You know, she'sa regular on the Atmosphere and she's a

like we mentioned um me in ourfinale. If whatever we just talked

time because you know, I'm unemployed, so I might as well be doing

something. And I guess that somethingis talking about labor of love. I
mean I always need some kind ofshow on my TV screen that is a
romance in some way competition And yeah, Kristen, this is a show about
a woman who's forty one and she'snot getting any younger. What do you
think about this concept here, laborof love? I mean, there is

there's nothing better during a time whenwe're all forced to stay home to be
like but just remember there's a tickingclock, and you know, eventually on
all of our olays. Thankfully,I'm not someone who's you know, concerned
or interested in children so I don'tneed to worry about the ticking clock.

I feel like this could really bringup him anxiety for a lot of people.
If it wasn't happening during COVID,I don't know if we'd be watching
it though point. And it makesme wonder, like, did Fox move
this up because they knew, like, there's nothing else got on right now.
We've we've gone through a lot offinales in the last couple of weeks
and now we're just here being like, so what's next? And Labor of

Love is next? And you know, I thought it was going to be
super corny, super cheesy. Foxreality shows kind of have the tendency to
be a little like tacky. AndI'm not saying that like this will class
up any living room, but Idon't I think it could have been a
lot worse. And that's saying somethingabout a show that made a bunch of

guys, in Mike Bloom's words,jo in a truck. Okay, so
the jomobile jomobile that is, Andeverybody needs to just never say it again.
So here's the question. So obviouslythere's a lack of content on the
horizon, you know, shows,camp, film there's gonna be gaps in

the calendar. Do you think Foxwill bring back the old reality shows they
canceled after one or two episodes tofill the guy air all of I want
to marry Harry. Yeah, exactly. I think that's an opportunity and they
should do that. I agree.I think that would be a good move
on their part. Fox. Payme for that idea. Um So,

Christie, we're introduced to her.She's forty one, Okay, she was.
She looks amazing. She does andshe actually was on Bradwalmax season of
The Bachelorrette, so this is Bachelor. This is why we're qualified, Haley,
even though nobody remembers, Um,god, if that is natural amazing
and if that is not naturally amazing, want to know the name of her

doctor? Holy shit? She looksgood. Um And I I like Christie.
She's very confident in what she wantsand she wants to be a mother.
And Kristen, I'm kind of likeyou, like I've never yearned her
parenthood. I can barely take careof myself. Um So, I didn't
totally. I really feel like Idon't. I don't know what's the what's

the word. I'm looking for likeI don't or like her situation or yeah,
I guess they don't relate. Iempathize for her situation totally. How
devastating it is, like that,like you want to be a mom and
you want a partner to be amom with. And I love that She's
like, if this doesn't work out, I'm just gonna have the I love
that great, Christie. Yeah,exactly. Yeah, Christy is amazing.

I just wonder how is she single? Like what what's going on there that
she is not with someone? BecauseI should I would have to imagine that,
you know, at forty one,being like this incredible you you would
think that everyone would just want tobe with her. But are they like
are they all trying to date twentyyear olds or something? All the menoryzing

look at something like that because shesaid, when um, the host was
asking her, she said, it'sdifficult to do. You mean Kristin Davia,
Kristin Davis, this is the hostof the show. Yeah, Kristin
Christie, And we've got Kristin here, so we've got it perfect. It's
gonna be Yeah, there's a lotof confusion here. I think we could
just call Christie Cindy avoid confusion becauseI heard that also could be her name.

Yeah, Kristin Davis is still sucha babe, and I thought it
was so endearing when Christie is like, Charlotte was my girl. I guess
everybody was so excited to see her. I thought the guys probably thought that
she was the bachelorette. She wasthe many of them. Do you think

knew who she was? I thinkthey. I think a few of them
maybe recognize her, but yeah,they probably just thought it was the person
they're competing for. Walking in rightare from one of my favorite podcasts,

I get exposed for not for notlistening to Weekly, and it's rude.
It's like, do you know,like, do people know who she is?
Or do people not know who sheis? I feel like I would

a question of if she is awho is this group of men in their
like late thirties or the forties whomaybe have been single and not insects in

the cast for Claire season of TheBachelor, would I be happy? Yeah?
I think that's what I was thinking. I was like, is this
why they couldn't cast for Claire becauseall the guys in her age range were
fighting to be on this show?Yeah? Like, you know, because
we are experts in the Bachelorette,we know, not always the best people
show up to the female led seasonsof this show. So I think it

could have been like significantly worse ofa cast. What do you think they
guys knew? Because I thought maybeit was going to be sprung on them.
They were surprised, but they camein being like, so we're gonna
make some babies. Yeah, itseemed pretty like okay, well, and
I'm glad that they know. Um, I think it would be unfair to
spring like our lead wants to bea mom like in three weeks, like

to a bunch of like forty fouryear old committophobes. True, So I'm
glad that's well. And I feellike they're like obviously in this first episode
is when they they you know,get the fertility testing, but like,
I feel like they probably also hadto do some kind of fertility testing in

the casting process, Like imagine I'mtrying to get on the show and finding
out actually not for you can't havecannons. Yeah, yeah, I thought
you were going to get at leastone, like, oh, actually you
you probably can't have children. Ifeel like they had to do that in
the pre screening process because that wouldjust be too devastating on the actual show.
Yeah, and I feel like theywould have been a lot more upset

or like weird get out by havingto jack off in a trailer if when
it already when they have to putput up a hand, if you've j
owed in the last five days,they had to They had to have known
that that was a concern as well. Everyone as a Budge, who did

not seem super happy about it.Yeah, he was not excited. There's
a guy named Budge on this show, which one is Budge? Let me,
I'm not having a vodka, soyeah, I I don't like him.
I just scrolled through. I havea page open with like the whole

cast on it, so I canscroll through when I forget who they are,
because I famously have trouble telling whitemen apart, is that the women's
health meg dot com that is fullof sea all fifty Instagram profiles, because
that is what I have a bitch. Yes, of course, I'm kind
of surprised that is even a featureon women's health, but you know,

I mean, you know what women'shealth probably has to deal with, you
know, fertility questions too. Sothis is this is right up there,
Alie, you gonna put in thechat so you can also get it on
this. I just think Budget's realname is budget, Like, what is
it naming your child budget? BudCollinson? What does that stand for?

Cameron? I'll look him up onInstagram specifics, Okay, so yeah,
um, he just seems to goby Budge. He also, um hows
what looks to be an MLM product. It's like you infusion, that's what
he's the drink more Beneficial. Yeah, he's the founder. It looks like

he got somebody to photoshop his picturetoo, because he does not look like
the guy we saw on TV.This man has two hundred followers. I
don't think this show has really takenoff because Alan, the hottest guy in
the show, only has four hundredand seven followers like Alan is hot.
I can't even Alan is the guyfrom South Africa, right, yea,

yeah, yeah, Alan is farand away like the best flicking man there.
He's like people might know me from, you know, giving some sequester
commentary, and I like to pickone person I think is really hot.
This man, he's my Jack Danger, you know, he's my Nick Marano.
I thought you were going to gowith Kyle, who I believe is

the one who is six foot eight. No, but six foot eight is
too tall. That's scary to me, Like I want to like feel like
small and delicate, but I don'twant to feel like at risk. So
they feel like six foot eight istoo like I feel like I would be
a danger. There's actually somebody elsewho's familiar to us on this show,

and that is Marcus Layman, whowas on Survivor cabone with another bff of
the podcast, Randy Bailey. Youknow, I wonder if Randy's watching this.
I'll sign to his dams and askhim. Yeah, Marcus was first
out of the limo as it were, but um Christie was not there waiting
for him, So I don't knowif it has the same symbolism but thank

god they didn't do like limo entranceslike the Bachelor bacherette, Like can you
imagine what these men would have said, I don't even want Oh god,
honestly, maybe on the cutting roomfloor, like they were like, oh,
that would be cute, and thenit happened and they're like that was

He was on some other show thatspeaking of shows that could be brought
back that we're on the cutting roomfloor. Um. I think it was
called three or something way back whenit was on CBS and it was another
like reality love competition and that justwent straight to internet television. Never even
heard of that. I feel likeI saw tweet recently that Marcus was like,

well, Survivors not calling, SoI'm on a new project, Labor
of Love. This is the naturalprogression, I mean to so you go
for a survivor to Labor of Love. So like, where am I supposed
to go? Like stage coach,I don't show might work? Um,

Marcus I thought did pretty well onthis. Yeah, all the guys,
and all the guys seem to likethem, and the head of the class
seemed to like them as well.Um, totally crushing on him. I
mean, he's cute and he's adoctor. She makes great points, and
they seem to be very much onthe same page, which I appreciate.

Yeah, they're on the same age, they're ready for the same things.
It seems like somebody that didn't makeas good of impression was the next guy
that arrived, Jason. Jason whoI mean, worrying Henley and like a
zip up hoodie where most of thepeople were in suits, Like I didn't
think this guy was gonna do toowell. Yeah, yeah, it's a

little out of his element. Washis excuse. Well, he's southern.
He doesn't know what it's like totalk to people like I don't know.
Yeah, you know, when youcome from a small town, it means
that there's a lot of pressure onyou, and it means that you don't
know how to function in society.Is basically how how Jason you know,

expressed himself. He's like, youknow, I'm just from a small town.
I I drank too much. Ididn't know. It's like, Um,
if I know anything about small towns, which I want to say I
do, I'm pretty sure there's nothingto do except drink too much. He

of surprised that he stayed around.But he had the same job as her
father, So that's that's something,right, Yeah, I you know,
I just wish I could have foundmyself a man who worked at an outdated
car assembly plant, just like myfather. That's the one thing Ethan didn't

Like why he doesn't look natural?And I feel like he shouldn't be allowed
to pose with his his fire fightinggear in this way, it's against the

for me, including like the redsuit he was wearing right off the top.
He had this great jacket in thisInstagram photo. In this post he's
wearing like a cute peach jacket thatI'd like to have. Yeah, this
peace each bomber is adorable. Iwas like, after this podcast, I'm
gonna have to look up where Ican buy this because that is very me.
He also has a he's a catin the picture relatable content. I

thought Stewart was great, Like youknow, as soon as they met.
A lot of the times in TheBachelor we see the like first question to
day, like can I steal youfor a second? Uh, Stewart did
it right, He said, whatcan I get you to drink? What
a wonderful move by store. Thatis exactly the question I want to be
asked. Um, that is whathappens when it's a bunch of forty year

olds. They actually have a littlebit of manners. Yeah, because one
of the other guys. I thinkit might have been Trent, Like,
oh, Stuart, that's what Ishould have done, Like they you recognize.
And it's so sad because I feellike that's like literally the bare minimum.
But we're all like, oh mygod, that was sweetest thing ever,
like the yeah, yeah, umyeah, let's see how I was

gonna ask about Tally. It's totallystood out to me, but not in
a good way. Yeah, Ithink vives from him. He also creeps
me out. She also seemed toget that impression from him. So I
don't I don't remember this man,Like I don't know him. He could
pass me on the street and Iwouldn't have a clue. But in this

Instagram picture, he looks like theZodiac Killer, so I'll pass he does.
He looks like a killer set oflike a serious catalog like this,
just like I couldn't see all yeah, absolutely straight out of the Sears catalog
with the like light blue blazer andthe darker blue shirt that is not tucked
in his pants, and like Icould see this being like an advertisement for

Dexter, like he is a serialkiller. He will uh, he will
get you, Like I if Isaw this man, I would run,

the whole time, I'm thinking tomyself, I hope you're ready to
make a lot of babies with me. That was his first impression of yeah.

Yeah. And when they had liketheir secondary conversation, and it could
have been it could have been editing. Absolutely um, but you know,
every time she asked him a question, he just like, well, what
do you like? What do youdo? What do you think? What's
going on with you? And she'slike, um, you're being a little
cage dude. Good good. Ithink she has pretty good sense and she

sent this loser home. She's gettingthe same dexter vibes, I think,
because yeah, he was abating thequestions left and right. What does And
also like these people are getting filmedlike production probably went to her and was
like, listen, you you gottakind of loose. He's not behaving.
Well yeah, yes, So theyhave a Their party was a southern sware.

They're trying to differentiate from bachelor bachelorette. They can't. They don't have
the same type of limo entrances.She is not the bad stort. She
is the are you ready to meetthe mother to be Um. I don't
know what the men are called.I saw this article calls them dad chillers.

You know, it's very important.This is clearly happening in Georgia.
They make it. They mentioned thestate numerous times. Uh, you know,
there are a lot of incentives tofilm in Georgia, so it makes
sense, and it would be there. And they're in like two like Airbnb
mansions right next door to each other. Yeah, what are these? Those

are beautiful houses. Do you thinkit was built just for this No,
there's not a chance that this showhad the production budget to build homes,
I know, but it just likefelt like it looked really good. It
did look really good. I thinkthat those are like people's houses. And
they were like, listen, wewill pay you to let us use them

for a week and a half andwe'll put you up in a hotel.
And the people who lived there werelike, yeah, I would love to
see my show in my house onTV. And then now that they're gonna
watch these episodes and be like ahome, No, this is what it
was used for. Yeah. Yeah, it looked like just like a gorgeous
home that would be an HDTV.But then somehow there was like another home

right next to it, So maybeit's like the somebody has a really fancy
guesthouse and their property or something.Maybe when they all stood on the lawn
and called her name, that wasa moment that like, we're never going
to ever get something like that again. It was incredible. Yeah, yeah,
it really felt like just kind ofit reminded me of kind of old
seasons of The Bachelor or The Bachelorette. I think it was Diana's season where

the guys actually lived like on theproperty with her or something, so it
kind of had those vibes where theyjust have barbecues in the backyard. But
yeah, they all called their name. But as I mentioned before, I
needed a little help with that.Um, Haley, what did you make
of that moment where he referred toas Cindy. I don't think it's that

much of a deal breaker. He'sprobably a little out of it and like,
yeah, there's only one girl's namefor him to remember. But I
don't know, I can't blame himthat much. What about you, Kristen.
It's like, yes, should heknow her name? Of course,

she's doing, look like in realtime. They have their TV screen and

Just like they're safe, keep dating, keep on dating. So it
was like continue dating or talk andtalk could mean that she likes you or
that she doesn't like you, andI like that. I like it for
the first one, but then nowthey're going to know the deal and they'll
know they're not like in danger afterthat, So it's kind of a god
For the first one, I feela little dumb. What these guys dumb?

I like it because it provides likea positive connotation to we need to
talk, which I think. Ithink talking is important and it should be
like, yeah, sometimes a conversationgoes well and sometimes it goes poorly well,
and we saw that because she shekept four guys and then we need
to Talk column and that was Stuart. People who were Stuart, Um,

Philip, Tali, and Jason.Yeah. Um, so two of those
guys went home, Tali and aguy whose name I just read Philip,
because she just didn't see like aconnection with them. Stuart she wanted to
talk to just because she's like,hey, you impressed me this week.
You're on my mind. And thenJason, she actually wanted to have a

conversation with him to like clear somethings up. So I did really like
that. I think maybe the youknow, the iPad thing is a little
clunky, but I like that there'slike three sides to that column. Yeah,
I feel like she could have decidedto eliminate Jason too. So keeps

a little up in the open,out in the open and up in the
air of Okay, we had atalk, and if you didn't say something
that convinced her or made her feelbetter about her decision, than she could
said, Okay, we're not onthe same page, I'm gonna let you
go. So I did like that. We see sometimes on The Bachelor,
they'll somebody will talk to them,pull them aside before the rose ceremony.
I don't think it ever really makesa difference. So this actually lets them

have a little conversation. Let's see. I well, and I liked who
was it um during this time?That was like, I think all of
them are going home? Like there'sfifteen people only you think they're gonna send
all of them home right and immediatelythe same Maybe if the show is only
three weeks, that's true. MaybeI don't know what the show is,

but yeah, only had three threeweeks, but we'll see. I don't
know if they were caught up ornot, but um, yeah, what
did you think of how they announcedto the guys that they would have to
go um deposit a sample by waitersdelivering them specimen cups on a platter during
the suare I thought one of thoseguys at first was Harry from Too Hot

to handle until I look closer andI was like, yes, this is
his first La role. Amazing,but it was this was the most too
hot to handle a moment. Imean, how much would those two hot
to handle guys liked this kind ofvehicle arriving on set? They would be
so oh happy. Yeah, Iget why they had to do it.
I would say, this is obviouslykind of like the tackiest part of the

show. Without a doubt. Um, I just I'm I'm obviously I'm not
male. Um, I just don'tknow if I could ever jo and a
van knowing that there are six otherguys jangling in a van next to me.
I mean I think that, youknow, if you look at how
many men are you know, Jangoin all kinds of situations where they absolutely

should not be. I think thatthey be to get past it. You
put like a magazine in there.Yeah, and I think they'll be able
to get it done. I'm hopingthat the van is like sound proved between
the little rooms. Do you thinkthere was a sink in those rooms?
There had to be, Like Isaid, there wasn't. I heard him
say I couldn't find any hand sanitizerin there. So yeah, that will

the favorite part of all of thatthat, like, I wouldn't know if
their hands were clean. I mean, are any of our hands clean these
days? Yes, yeah, that'strue. That is true. I've always
had good hand hygiene, and nowI have excellent hand hygiene. I think

the most disturbing comment had to goto Budge, where he was the one
who was he was not going toBudge, he was not going to go
in, but then he said,well I like her, So this trailer
is gonna get a little messy.You I missed that. I missed it,
and I'm glad I missed it,and I'm upset with you Amy or

for letting me know about that.That is so disgusting and he should have
immediately been taken off of the showand like arrested by the FBI. And
the trail supposed to get me.I think it's supposed go in the cub.
So I feel like at thirty four, you should be well to jo
pretty cleanly, Like I'm sorry.You've got to have control over where things

are going. You just simply do. Whether that's solo or with a partner.
You need to know where it's gonnago. Yeah, Yeah, yeah,
m so then these samples were analyzed. Oh and somebody else said that
the bus had a rhythm going toit so well, and the bus also
had like a big logo on it. Do you think the show was sponsored

by like a specific fertility clinic orsomething if you on her fortility doctors.
So yeah, maybe he's all aboutgetting that publicity. She has great overies
according to him. That's true.Yeah, I think she already throws her
eggs right good on her. Youknow, if if you are thinking about

having a baby and you're not sure, freezing your eggs is a good option.
Caitlin Bristow talked about it because hergood friend Whitney from her season was
like an egg fertility specialist. Probablyfreeze those eggs and just like Mindy Kaling
said in The Mindy Project later babyokay yeah, or like Sheena from the
