Speaker 1 (00:32):
You'll enjoyed number one sports show in all of Central Texas. Saginaw, Michigan,
a man tried to rob the Merchandile Bank. We were
talking about this the other day. There was a tense,
tense hostage standoff. They talked him into we're gonna send
the drone because he was getting thirsty. We're gonna send
a drone with a coke attached to it and park
(00:55):
it in front of the front door, and then you
reach out and get the coke. Let's do that that
and let's get you hydrated so you can make you
know you can be able to negotiate here. He opened
the door and a sniper yeah into the hostage situation.
So yeah, when the police this case. Now, we won't
have any listeners do this. Maybe not, but if you
(01:16):
got one, you're gonna take hostages. Prepare, have some water,
you know, and and uh they have a listing device.
Speaker 3 (01:22):
And the pizza the pizza guy is a cop, you know.
Speaker 1 (01:25):
I mean, there's all all movies just watch it, sit
down and binge, all the hostage movies and in Indo
your thing, you know, I remember one of the funniest
The movie wasn't that funny, but Nick Nolty was in
this along with a guy what was his name from
Saturday Night Live, the Little Guy.
Speaker 3 (01:45):
He's one of the three amigos. What's his name? You know?
Speaker 2 (01:47):
Oh? Yeah, yeah, yeah, Martin Short, Martin Short, Martin Short.
Speaker 3 (01:54):
Uh so let me start over.
Speaker 1 (01:56):
Okay, So Nick Nolty had just got out of prison
and gave him a suit, and so he goes to
this bank to cash a check x con and Martin
Short comes in there. Martin Short's daughter and needing an operation.
He didn't have any money. So he walks in there
in the bank with a stocking over his head and
a hand grenade and it's it's probably one of the funniest.
(02:17):
It's one of the funniest things to move. Now the
movie with that great I was tell you now, but
the very versa. So he's like, I got a grenade.
I'm gonna kill us all if y'all don't. He bites
the pin to pull a pin out and it cuts
the stocking in his head and ear pop out. You know,
it's so now you can see him, you know here
he is, you know, his costumes. And so he throws
(02:39):
the bag over this railing where the you know, behind
the where the tellers are. He throws a bag over.
Fill that bag or I'm killing us all, and the
guy fills it up with money and he throws it
back and it hangs on the light fixture and he
goes on purpose.
Speaker 3 (02:56):
So now I doesn't have any money, and he's gotta
get out of there. The cops are there by. Now
this is going so badly.
Speaker 1 (03:02):
And then you couldna taken hostage and he grabs an
ignolty x con who just got out of the greatest line.
He goes pick somebody else. These guys will kill us both.
They're not gonna worry about shooting me anyway. That I
just had to catch that scene, but download that one
scene if you want a good laugh.
Speaker 3 (03:23):
But the rest of the movie you can you can
move on. Uh.
Speaker 1 (03:26):
So anyway, he got he got got killed. As he
used to say, they're in uh in Saginaw. Uh you
would think living in Saginaw, Michigan. Anyway, Uh, you're already
you know you already did.
Speaker 3 (03:37):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (03:37):
Let's see Jackson Vogel, he was serving life in prison.
This I'm not gonna just do all uh bone hands,
but there's so many great ones. He was serning that
this is a bad man. This, this is a bad man.
I want I want you to hear what his lawyers said.
So Jackson Vogel, his whole life has been an asshole.
He's hurt and beat up people. He uh, he tried
to kill his mom. And he tried to kill his mom.
(03:59):
They said, okay, that's it, we're putting you in the joint.
So they put him in a joint. He's in a
joint for like a year, and he kills his cellmate.
So I mean he's you know, if you know you've
got live in prison, Okay, you got live in prison again.
Speaker 3 (04:12):
Yeah, I don't know what you do. Then.
Speaker 1 (04:14):
Anyway, he actually filed to see if he could get
out on parole, and his lawyer actually said, I quote,
if you let him out, there's a good chance he
could change.
Speaker 3 (04:27):
Oh well, there's a good chance.
Speaker 1 (04:31):
What's making him angry is being stuck in this in
this cube.
Speaker 3 (04:36):
Let him roll. But he's he's gonna be model citizens.
Speaker 2 (04:39):
It's like a chicken or the egg situation, like I'm
not I'm not a killer. It's because you're telling me
in this prison that makes me angry, that makes me
kill people.
Speaker 3 (04:51):
I'm not with them on that. I don't know how
i'd react. I bet it wouldn't be good if I
wouldn't enjoy it, be good.
Speaker 1 (04:57):
Yeah, yeah, Okay, here's the whole government of Norway are they.
Speaker 3 (05:02):
Are bone heads. Everybody plays the lottery and uh.
Speaker 1 (05:06):
You know you're never gonna win nothing. But they played
the lottery in Norway as well. However, they had some winnings.
The machine that does the winnings there, instead of dividing
the winning number by one hundred, it multiplied by one
hundred by accident, and so they had a huge amount
of winners that had won six figures. And these people
(05:27):
went crazy. Some of them had already bought cars. Some
of them were planning to move. Some of them had
already told their landlords they're moving. I mean before they
found out. The government of Norway said, yeah, we're not
We're not paying that.
Speaker 3 (05:42):
We're not pay that out. We don't have to. We're
the government. What are you going to do? You know?
Speaker 2 (05:47):
So I'm just imagining the Norwegian middle management, like middle
manager that told his boss to shove it, you know,
told all of his coworkers, how we really.
Speaker 3 (05:59):
Fight here man, Yeah, Alton.
Speaker 2 (06:01):
And then it's the next day the government says, yeah, actually,
you're not going to be a millionaire.
Speaker 1 (06:08):
It ain't happening. It's not gonna happen. You're gonna go
back to Here's Tokyo. Tokyo has the Henna Hotel, supposed
to be a pretty famous hotel. They have two hundred
and forty robots working as employees. The actual I mean,
they look like people these robots do. However, they act
(06:30):
like people. That's the negative part, because they don't do
their job. They break down. Then they don't operate like
they're supposed to, just like real people.
Speaker 3 (06:39):
You know.
Speaker 1 (06:40):
The reason they replace the robots. They don't get sick.
They don't take time off, they don't bitch and complain.
These just quit and then sometimes they stutter. And then
they even have them at the desk where you check in,
and they look like Japanese people, but they're robots. Anyway,
they've already had to replace half of these two hundred
and forty robots for real people and to go back.
Speaker 2 (07:00):
Yeah, that didn't take long.
Speaker 3 (07:02):
Think about to think of this Japanese people.
Speaker 1 (07:04):
There's no one friendlier. I mean not World War two Japanese.
I'm known about people in the in the now. You know,
they're they're very you know they bow and that.
Speaker 2 (07:14):
Now we're pretty friendly too, but not not World War two.
Speaker 1 (07:18):
Like, yeah, those are those those Japanese were not They
were not good guys.
Speaker 3 (07:22):
Man, bad guys too. Yeah.
Speaker 1 (07:26):
Yeah, let me say it this way. The ones that
are left there, you go like.
Speaker 3 (07:33):
There's three American?
Speaker 1 (07:35):
Yeah, yeah, absolutely, Well is it we bombed Japan. We
can bomb I ran. It don't matter to this. You know,
we bomb you you mess with this.
Speaker 3 (07:42):
We got plenty.
Speaker 1 (07:44):
You've seen that deal of aircraft, that gauge of aircraft,
whether you know each country has so many and it
gets to I think it's Russia no, it's China has
three hundred and fifty or six hundred and we have
sixteen thousand. When you see it in a graft, you know,
it's like, we just can't wait.
Speaker 3 (08:00):
Kick somebody's ass, you know.
Speaker 1 (08:02):
So I mean it, and it's a lot of I
wonder if they count the drones.
Speaker 3 (08:06):
I'm assuming they do, so, yeah, we got drones for days.
You know.
Speaker 2 (08:12):
It's one of those deals where you have to feel like,
potentially it could end up being you versus the rest
of the world, because there's no other reason to justify
having that many toys, that right, toys than everyone.
Speaker 1 (08:27):
Else, and aircraft carres of land them on. And you know,
you always hear these guys starting stuff there and America
and then go hey, uh omed they barked, h George
Bush off the coast here, uh so what you got?
You want to tone it down, you know, and they
blew up the mountain and then I love that that
(08:47):
lady goes well of the reports are there.
Speaker 3 (08:50):
It didn't damage it that much.
Speaker 1 (08:51):
I saw a video of it and it look pretty
damaged to me. Let me tell you this, I'm not
coming to work tomorrow. If you're going to do that,
I'll just quit as these and you know, half those
guys were working for us.
Speaker 3 (09:04):
You know, that's how we knew where to hit and
what the hit.
Speaker 1 (09:06):
Of course, you know, seventy percent of that country wants
it to become westernized, and I'm going, you can do
better drive for more drive or something more. Three hundred
and twenty people having been indicted, this is the reason
just to talk about this country. Three hundred and twenty
Americans have been indicted for healthcare fraud. It could be
whom are you ready for this? It could be as
(09:27):
much as fourteen billion dollars. Good with these one hundred,
the three hundred and twenty people could have got away
with fourteen billion dollars illegal funds.
Speaker 3 (09:39):
One hundred medical pros, including.
Speaker 1 (09:42):
Twenty five top doctors, have been cleaning cash off of
this ten billion a loan or in the Cafeter billions schemes.
Oh no, it's that cafeter business is like you see
ads on TV. Cafitter business is huge and ten billion
dollars of it just completely fraudulent. You know, So I
(10:05):
don't even know what to think about that. And thank
god I don't have one, you know.
Speaker 2 (10:09):
Well, yeah, first of all, yeah, thank God, I'm not
in the I'm not in my catheter era yet.
Speaker 1 (10:15):
Right, Yeah, but let me tell you if you want to,
we're gonna do one. You want to say, I got one? Hell,
I'm in for a couple of grand Yeah.
Speaker 2 (10:21):
Yeah, exactly. That's why I like it. It feels like
there's so many there's so much of our healthcare system
that is just ripe for fraud like this, Like it
just beggs you be that hard to get if you
just billion away.
Speaker 1 (10:39):
It's just it's just unbelievable. So, yeah, that's a good
one to end on. Right, let's just get out there.
Hopefully they get in indict every one of these guys
and seize all their assets. That'd Sabama Brown experience on
the iHeart podcast Network
