What kind of creature could crack 25 windshields and leave a town baffled? That’s the question Bama Brown kicks off with in this riotous episode of The Bama Brown Experience, where the ordinary collides with the utterly unexpected.

Join Bama and his ever-entertaining co-host Puma as they unravel the bizarre true story out of Rockport, Massachusetts: a mysterious spree of shattered windshields and mirrors that had locals suspecting everything from shady glass companies to criminal masterminds-until the real culprit was revealed. Spoiler: it wasn’t human. It was a crow-sized, super-powered woodpecker, waging war on its own reflection and wreaking havoc on cars and trucks alike. The duo’s hilarious banter and wild speculation (“Do we need military drones to catch this bird?”) turn a small-town mystery into a laugh-out-loud investigation you won’t forget.

But the episode doesn’t stop at viral wildlife news. Bama takes listeners on a detour to the remote bars of Alaska, sharing a side-splitting joke about loneliness, drilling rigs, and the infamous Wong the Cook - a story that’s sure to have you laughing (and maybe groaning) along with the hosts.

Whether you’re here for the true crime twist, the outrageous humor, or just to hear Bama and Puma riff on the weirdest headlines, this episode is a must-listen! Subscribe to The Bama Brown Experience, leave us a review, and share this episode with anyone who needs a good laugh and a reminder that sometimes, the wildest stories are absolutely true!

Speaker 1 (00:43):
This story jumped out of me. There was this happened
in Rockport, Massachusetts, not Massachusetts, Massachusetts. Have a friend of
mine who was born in Boston, and every time I
would say Massachusetts just to piss her off. And it
was Heather, who was on the radio with me for years,
go it's Massachusetts, and I go, I know, I just

(01:03):
like seeing you get upset. So and I did that
every day I could. So this is a crime story.
They had damage to about twenty five or twenty six
cars to the windshields and to the mirrors. They had
cracks in the windshields. It's like somebody took a little

(01:23):
mini hammer, you know, with one of those like a
body shop hammer, and just winshields and then chip the mirrors. Now,
their first suspect was local glass companies. You know, they're thinking,
all those guys you know, going around cracking windshields, get
for some.

Speaker 2 (01:39):
Business, creating business, Yeah, I creating clientele.

Speaker 1 (01:43):
Until they had an actual witness and it was a
crow sized woodpecker that did it. Oh, the woodpeckers was
the culprit. And they think because it saw its reflection
in the windows and the mirrors and that's why you know,
it was freaking out. And they said it wasn't just
at the wood it was a huge, gigantic woodpecker cross I.

Speaker 2 (02:03):
Have to be to do that kind of damage.

Speaker 1 (02:06):
It cracked twenty five windshield and uh, not just pass
your cards, but trucks, delivery trucks and also uh they
said the mirrors, it would knock the mirrors. That cracked
the mirror, You've got to be pretty strong crack a mirror.

Speaker 2 (02:20):
I'm saying, I mean we uh, what did they catch
the woodpecker or no.

Speaker 1 (02:25):
He what he's they don't have any cuffs? That small
I think was And then I don't. I don't want
to mess with a woodpecker and crack the windshield. You
know what, Are you gonna shoot him down with a
drone or something? I don't know what you how you getting?
Seems like there'd be military opportunity there, though, doesn't it?

Speaker 2 (02:45):
With all the toys our military has, it would only
be appropriate we did we turn them loose on a
woodpecker in Boston, the Greater Boston area.

Speaker 1 (02:54):
I don't. I don't want to. I don't wanna know
anything that reminds me of a joke. All right, I'll
tell this joke. Its as me, Uh, I have to
run through my head, but make sure I can tell it.
Even though we're not governed by the FCC, we're still
iHeart and they got hey don't.

Speaker 2 (03:09):
There's still personal more principles in.

Speaker 1 (03:12):
So this guy he gets a job on a drilling
rig in Alaska, and he's up there and uh, he's
been there by the month, and he goes down to
the local bar. This is what reminded me of the
Flagler Beach in the in the funky Pelican is. He
goes down there and he uh. He goes this bar
and the bartenders in there, and he said, look and

(03:33):
he said, I'm I'm kind of lonely, man. I need
It's like I meet a girl. And the guy goes, man,
you're up here in the old country, in a last
there's no women here. We have no women. And he goes,
but we have Wong the cook, and he goes what
he goes, Wong our cook, you know, and he goes, uh, yeah,
I don't. That isn't my ideal. I don't I don't
go for that. I don't go for that ship at all.

(03:55):
And he goes, okay, well, suit yourself. See's there. Another month,
he's back down there and he says, look, I don't
care how ugly she is. I gotta have a woman.
And the guy said, I told you before there's no
women up here, but we we got Wong to cook.
And he goes, I can't, man, I just can't do that.
I said, stop by. I don't go for this ship.
I just don't go for that at all. That's how

(04:16):
my He goes, Okay, suit yourself. So he's back down there,
and that's been three months and he goes, okay, listen,
if fuck do it with Wong, who all's got to
know about it?

Speaker 2 (04:28):
You know?

Speaker 1 (04:29):
And he goes, well, there's you and me and Wong
of course, and then the Bill and Charlie. And he goes, well,
how come Bill and Charlie got to know about it?
And he goes, well, they got to hold down old Wong.
He don't go for that shit either, said, that's horrible.

(04:52):
