What's going on, everybody, andwelcome to another episode of the FTN Bestball
Cast, presented by the FTN PodcastNetwork. As always, I'm your host,
Tyler Lochner. You can find meon Twitter at Lochner NFL and you
can find all my work on FTNFantasy dot Com, which is now home

(00:25):
to the officially released FTN Football Almanac, presented by Aaron Shots. This thing
is incredible and the Jaguars, theColts, and the Texans player comments have
all been written by yours truly. The Colts and the Texans chapters have been
written by yours truly interesting teams andother kind of bottom feeders, but you

(00:48):
know, very interesting teams to diveinto. So go check out my work
there. But not just my work. I mean I'm at the bottom of
the barrel of the people that workedon this thing. It's incredible. It's
this year. It's powered by FTNData. This is the former Football Outsiders
Football Almanac. It's now the FTNFootball Almanac. Check it out right now.
It's on sale. You can buyit right now. You can download
the PDF. There is a printversion coming to Amazon soon. It will

(01:11):
cost a little bit more, butfor right now you can jump in and
get the PDF version. All right, what do we got here? It
is the top ten risers in ADPsince training camp started. So it's been
about two weeks since training camp startedJuly nineteenth, twentieth. We are now
releasing this on August fourth. Sowho has risen? Who has had the

(01:36):
training camp buzz that has caused abig spike in ADP. I'm not necessarily
going to pick like the ten playerswho have had the largest jumps in ADP.
I might mention some of them.I'm going to pick the players that
I think are the most interesting whohave risen in ADP. And we're going
to start with the town. Thisis the player that everybody is buzzing about

(01:57):
on Twitter. It is Justin Rossfrom the Kansas City Chiefs. I mean,
in twenty eighteen, he was acollege superstar, looked like the number
one wide receiver in the class. Some injuries derailed him, and now he's
playing with Patrick Mahomes. He wasgoing undrafted or an ADP of like two
hundred and fifteen, two hundred andsixteen, so some people were taking him
in the very last round. HisADP has gone up twenty five spots since

(02:21):
training camp opened. Now, alot of that had to do with Kadarius
Tony getting hurt, getting a kneesurgery to start training camp. It's unfortunate.
I do think Tony will be back, but it did thrust Ross into
the starting lineup in training camp withthe ones I'm alongside Sky Moore. So
Ross's ADP has shot up twenty fivespots, two full rounds. You do

(02:42):
not have to spend a sixteenth roundpick on average to get him. It
might not slow down. There's alot of buzz about him. Don't forget
this guy was a dominator in college. He started ahead of te Higgins.
He was a great player at comesIn. So justin Ross very worthwhile riser.
Here, I'm going to mention someof these others that are kind of

(03:02):
in the same bucket as Ross. When Kadarius Tony went down or when training
camp opened, all of these chiefswide receivers started playing with the one sum
rotating in and out. It doesseem like as of right now it's Ross
and it's skymore. But Ross,we already mentioned him. The number two
player who has risen the most isRichie James. He's gone up twenty one

(03:23):
spots in ADP. Rice has goneup eight spots. Sky Moore has gone
up eight spots. So there's likebasically every if you play for the Chiefs,
your ADP is rising unless her nameis Kadarius Tony. Even Jeric McKinnon
has gone up. I know he'sthe running back, but basically it's wide
open behind Travis Kelcey. Everybody istrying to get in there. So the

(03:44):
Chiefs playmakers are all rising as expected. I mean even Marcus Valdes Scanty is
rising. Sum Okay. Up nextis a Mere White. He's gone up
nearly two full rounds. Again, his average ADP was two hundred and twelve
two hundred and thirteen when training campopened. It's not down to one eighty
two, so it's still not expensive. You know, He's a sixteenth round
pick, a good zero zero RBtarget. Though Josh Jacobs does not have

(04:09):
a lot of leverage with this holdout. The way that the Collective Bargaining Agreement
is structured, there's very little thatJacobs can do here. But with that
said, it's still worth taking ashot on White here. White's not a
bad pick even if Jacobs is playing. You know, in case Jacobs gets
hurt, White is very much numbertwo on that team and would probably take

(04:32):
on a pretty big role. Okay, the number three riser, I really
like this one. He's gone upnearly a full round. This is Sam
Laporta on the Detroit Lions. Everybodyloves drafting the Lions. This year.
You got a Monra early, yougot Jamr Gibbs early. Jamison Williams is
going around pick one hundred. He'ssuspended. But then some of these other

(04:54):
players on this very exciting offense arepretty cheap. David Montgomery's cheap, Jared
Goff is cheap, and then thecheapest of all of them is Sam Laporta.
He's been running with the ones.It very much looks like this is
his job. It very much lookslike he's going to be the starting tight
end right from week one, andhis ADP has shifted as a result.
It's up ten spots up to onefifty five. I do think we continue

(05:18):
to see that climb, especially ifhe if he's running with the ones in
preseason games. So that's one tokeep an eye on. Okay. Next
up on the list is John Metchiof the Houston Texans. Such an awesome
story. Of course, Mecchi wasa fantastic player at Alabama. He got
hurt in his final college career game, got drafted in the second round,

(05:41):
missed his entire rookie season with acancer diagnosis, but he has returned amazing
return story. And the Texans widereceiver room is pretty wide open. Robert
Woods, is there a couple likeTink Dell. They drafted, Xavier Hutchinson,
they drafted you know, some otherIt's a very wide open spot.
I mean, even Robert Woods isnot necessarily locked into the one position.

(06:03):
So Metchie could become the leading widereceiver with the Houston Texans. Somebody is
going to I shouldn't say that.If CJ. Strout is good, somebody
will. Some of the wide receiverswill be good, and I think Metchi
is the best bad at it.His ADP has risen eight spots, so
not quite a full round, butnearly a full round since training camp opened.

(06:24):
Okay, Next up on this listis my personal favorite draft target was
Javonte Williams. He has gone uppretty significantly in cost, though back earlier
in the summer before training camp started, he was going in the nineties.
I mean even some drafts. Hewas going as late as one hundred.
His ADP was ninety one. Nowhis ADP has climbed up to eighty two.
It's going to continue to climb. The reports are so encouraging about Williams

(06:46):
coming out of Broncos camp right now. He's practicing fully padded, full contact.
He's gonna play in the preseason.I mean, the only limitation that
he might have is he might notplay in the first preseason game. So
you know, by all accounts heis a lock in there. They do
have some Aji par rhyme, whoyeah, he'll he'll take some touches,
just like he did from Joe Mixon, But Joe Mixon was still an elite

(07:06):
fantasy player. Javonte Williams is aplayer that we were drafting in the second
round very confidently. Last year.He did have a significant injury, but
he's going so late now and withthis, with this training camp buzz around
him, I do think we continueto see his ADP climb. He's just
a fantastic value in drafts right nowand people are finally starting to take notice.

(07:28):
All right. I like this onetoo. As a handful of rookies
here Jalen Hyatt is next on thelist. Hyatt was a home run hitter
at Tennessee. The Giants spent aDay two pick on him. Their wide
receiver room is pretty wide open.Again, very similar story, I think
to the Texans with John Mechi Metchi. This is effectively his rookie season high

(07:50):
ended is his rookie season. There'sIsaiah Hodgens in New York, There's Darren
Waller in New York. Of courseDarius Slayton's there, but it's I mean,
I think Hodgens' role is probably prettysecure. By the way. Speaking
of Hodgens, he's also shot upin ADP six spots. Hyatt has gone
up eight spots. Hyatt is theplayer is of great best ball pick though,

(08:15):
because he will have some He willhave some forty plus yard touchdowns,
kind of like like a Tyler Locketttype player who just you know, can
score deep at any point. It'saccount it's it's a risk because there's also
the risk that he just doesn't playvery much as Rickieer. But look,
his ADP is one hundred and ninetyup from one hundred and ninety eight,

(08:35):
so he was going in, hewas going around seventeen. Now he's really
going like the end of round sixteen, so he's going up a little bit,
all right. Next up is aduo of running backs from the same
team. We have Raheem Muster andJeff Wilson of the Miami Dolphins. They've
both gone up in ADP as theDolphin Cook to Jets rumors continue to heat

(08:56):
up. Both of them have goneup seven positions having spots in ADP.
The Miami backfield is a tricky one. You've got Muster, You've got Wilson,
You've got a cane there. Who'sit going to be? Not sure.
A Cane's going a lot earlier thanthese two guys. He's the exciting
rookie. There's some pretty awesome videoscoming out of him from Dolphins camp.

(09:18):
But the risk or the fear reallywas that the Dolphins seemed to make the
most sense for Dolphin Cook. Andnow that it looks like it's pretty unlikely
that Cook signs with the Dolphins, you are going to continue to see these
players rise in ADP, and they'revery cheap. They're good zero RB targets
or like a final fifth, maybesixth running back to take at the end

(09:39):
of your roster, So it makesa ton of sense to see these guys
rising, all right. Next onthe list riser here is Rashad Penny.
A lot of buds on Twitter abouthow talented Penny is. A lot of
questions coming out of Eagles camp aboutwho's going to be the RB one.
We've seen reports of both Penny andSwift taking snaps with the first team.

(10:01):
That's probably what we're gonna see. We're gonna see both of these guys.
Now. Penny has been hyper effectivewith his touches on a per touch basis
when healthy throughout his career, justlike he was in college. We saw
it with the Seahawks over you know, two years ago he had that final
month explosion. He was great tostart last year. Injuries do continue to
plague him though, so I reallythink, no matter what, we're not

(10:24):
going to see a full workload fromhim. And of course the true RB
one in Philadelphia is Jalen Hurts, especially by the red zone. So it
makes sense to see Penny rising becausehe's getting some touches with the ones.
There was reports, like I forgetwhen they came out, but maybe in
the spring or very early in thesummer, that he was on the roster
bubble and he might not make theteam. That does not seem to be

(10:46):
the case. That seems to verymuch just be a complete rumor. Now
that that seems to be behind him, his ADP is climbing as a result.
All right. I actually don't knowhow many players I've gone through.
I said I was going to dotop ten. I'm kind of just going
through a list here. I didn'tactually write down ten. I have a
lot more than ten. Isaiah Hodginshas gone up. I already mentioned him.

(11:07):
I really like drafting him. Ofall the Giants wide receivers, I
know, I said Hyatt is aworthy best ball pick. Hodgens I think
is by far the safest. Ithink that he's going to be on the
field for the Giants, seeing targetsin every single game. I don't know
if that can be said for everyother Giants wide receiver. His ADP has
gone up six spots as well. All right. The next interesting one to

(11:30):
me is Dalton Kincaid. So we'veseen Sam Laporta rose ten spots in ADP.
Kincaid, who went in the firstround, has gone up six spots
in ADP. It's looking more andmore like he's going to be on the
field right away. Dawson Knox isstill there, of course, Josh Allen
runs the ball a lot. JamesCook has been has been receiving targets in

(11:54):
training camp, but like this isn'ta massively but it's a half round jump
or Kincaid is still pretty cheap, but he's like the tight end eleven tight
end twelve in ADP. By theway, speaking of which, if you
ever want to see Underdog ADP,just google Underdog ADP FI and fantasy is
near the top. We updated everysingle day, so every single day you
can see the latest ADP, soyou can go check some of the stuff

(12:16):
out yourself. Kincaid, I takehim when I take Josh Allen, but
I'm not taking him naked. Ithink it's it's there's other tight ends I
would rather draft. I'll just saythat, all right. Another tight end
that I am interested in drafting atcost more than Kincaid is Hunter Henry.
There was a lot of buzz aboutMike Gisicki early on in the in the

(12:41):
spring trainings with the Patriots, butearly notebooks from reporters in New England to
show that Gasicki is not running withthe first team. It is Hunter Henry.
Hunter Henry is mac Jones's favorite target, and as a result, Hunter
Henry's ADP has risen. He's stillgoing in the final round. His ADP
is two six or two seven, but he was going completely undrafted all summer,

(13:03):
so he has bumped up into theADP ranks. Ezekiel Elliott saw a
bump after his meeting with the Patriotsand the dinner pictures came out of him
and mac Jones. You know,Elliott being wooed there. It would be
a pretty good landing spot, honestly, Elliott's gonna land somewhere. Of course,
we want Ramondre Stevenson to be athree down work course everywhere on the
field. Elliott would probably come takesome of the goal line touches. Don't

(13:28):
forget he was very effective still atscoring touchdowns last year, but more would
still get the receiving work. Elliottwould become a you know, a touchdown
or bust guy, which is finefor best Ball, especially this late in
the draft. All Right, Ithink I'm gonna round this out with one
of the players that I have beendrafting the most because I love love love

(13:48):
how much it hurts every year isMikole Hardman. I'm doing it. I
can't stop myself, and apparently youguys can't either, because his ADP has
gone up six spots since training campopened for I like no reason in particular.
I guess it's just like Nicole Hardman. Season August is here, it's
time to draft him because we allhate ourselves. I'm doing it, though,

(14:11):
I really am. I'm joking aboutit. But he's fast. I
like fast players that can score fromanywhere. And he's playing with Aaron Rodgers.
And I know he was playing withPatrick Mahomes and didn't do a whole
lot, but he had some prettygood games. I'm not gonna lie so
in Bestball, I refuse to draftHardman in a season long league because I

(14:31):
will he'll never end up in mystarting lineup. But in best Ball,
when I don't have to guess whenhe's going to do, well, yeah,
I'm all in on it, especiallyat such a cheap cost. I
mean, you can get Hardman inthe final round of pretty much every draft,
although now you have to spend aseventeenth round pick to get him.
All right, that's going to doit. That is a list of some
of the recent ADP risers since trainingcamp opened. We'll do another edition of

(14:56):
this. I think it's a greattopic in August. We'll do ADP follow
as well. That'll be our nexttopic, so that you can see some
of the players that you maybe needto move down your draft part. But
hopefully this gives you a list ofsome of the players later in the draft,
mid rounds of the draft that youshould be targeting, because if you're
not buying them at cost right now, their cost is increasing dramatically and you

(15:16):
might miss out entirely. All Right, people that is going to do it
and I am outw

Cardiac Cowboys

Cardiac Cowboys

The heart was always off-limits to surgeons. Cutting into it spelled instant death for the patient. That is, until a ragtag group of doctors scattered across the Midwest and Texas decided to throw out the rule book. Working in makeshift laboratories and home garages, using medical devices made from scavenged machine parts and beer tubes, these men and women invented the field of open heart surgery. Odds are, someone you know is alive because of them. So why has history left them behind? Presented by Chris Pine, CARDIAC COWBOYS tells the gripping true story behind the birth of heart surgery, and the young, Greatest Generation doctors who made it happen. For years, they competed and feuded, racing to be the first, the best, and the most prolific. Some appeared on the cover of Time Magazine, operated on kings and advised presidents. Others ended up disgraced, penniless, and convicted of felonies. Together, they ignited a revolution in medicine, and changed the world.
